a week ago: randomly decided I wanted to read The Fall of the House of Usher so I borrowed from the library a book of Edgar Allen Poe’s works

rn: randomly decide to watch a Netflix movie something I almost never do and it turns out a main character in this movie is Edgar Allen Poe??

#this is abt the pale blue eye #im like halfway thru it the edgar allen poe character is so good #also i thought the main actor was ethan hawke #until about 30mins in #when I googled the cast to confirm if edgar allen poe is played by dudley dursley #he is!#but also ethan hawke turned out to be christian bale #in my defense i swear i saw a trailer for a recent ethan hawke movie #some weeks ago #in which he looks gruffy and haggard #and i thought this was that movie??#i guess??#anyway #fall of the house of usher sure is something 😶‍🌫️
