Maybe some la sqadra headcanons with s/o, who is super fixed on pets? Like, they want to adopt every animal from the shelter, and cry every time they see a abandoned pet on the street. S/o just loves pets so so much that they would do everything to have more

he gets it. he has a soft spot for small cute things

he's very fond of how doting u are to every creature but he'll keep you in check, gently pull you away from a passing animal shelter and the like. pets take commitment and u both have very demanding jobs as is

he will help u set out bowls of water for all the strays and little creatures tho

if u bring home a lost pet he'll want you to bring it to the shelter and let the people there find its owner but you count as small cute things he's soft for (because everyone is small compared to risotto). give him puppy eyes for long enough and he'll give you a few days to find the owner yourself but it can't interfere with work and you're completely responsible for it

you'll probably be able to sway him on taking in ONE (1) stray cat if it has the right temperament, quiet and won't interfere and more on the independent side. there are a lot of strays in the neighbourhood as is, he figures having a cat in the house won't be much more of a stretch than you looking after the cats outside

he reasons that for himself too because he loves cats. he'll let it sleep on his chest and he WILL take it for walks on a lil kitty harness do NOT test him, do NOT fuck with this guy while he's walking his cat

he also thinks tarantulas, scorpions, and reptiles are cool (reptiles would love him he's so warm!!!) but maintaining a terrarium is a lot of work

he tries to reason with you every time you cry over a stray: you can't adopt them all, you know it would be a disservice to the animal to take on that responsibility only to find you can't balance it, i know it's sad but you're only one person with a very difficult job you can't overhaul the shelter system overnight. he'd try to help you toughen up for your own sake, not that u have to love animals any less but he doesn't want u burning out emotionally and he doesn't like seeing u cry either

if u bring home a lost pet, he will also insist you take it to the shelter. if u have a staredown about it (the shelters are so busy already and what if they can't find its person!!!!), it will be a LONG staredown. but if u promise to take full responsibility and find the owners asap he will relent BUT DONT MAKE IT A HABIT. if he has spare time he May help you with finding the owners, mostly to speed things up but it does also make u happy

might also accept one (1) cat with the right temperament but it's YOUR responsibility. if you're prepared to take on the commitment urself, he can coexist with a chill cat pretty easily. he will give it pets if it curls around his legs. if it wants to curl up in his lap, as long as he's not busy, well..... he would allow it

(the cat definitely grows on him)

he supposes he wouldn't mind fishes or a reptile but again, your responsibility

as long as ur managing your time and energy right he doesn't think it's so bad!!!! will defend you if the others try to tease you or get on your case

he will help. he might not mesh well with very rambunctious and outgoing animals tho. he may get nervous about caring for them right (is this food good for them? how do i hold them? what if they get sick?) but if u show him how and reassure him and he gets reassurance and affection from the critter too he'll probably cry

he would, of course, love a fish tank. he gets really into arranging and rearranging the setup and caring for ur fishies. he could watch them for hours and also defends them against people who say they're boring (THEY HAVE PERSONALITY)

he would say no to arachnids or other bugs and no to reptiles and amphibians (cause they eat bugs)

cats are his favorite even if he is not cats' favorite. he looks after the strays with you and will comfort you when you cry about them

if you find a lost pet he'll help you hide it (probably make it smaller) while you team up to secretly care for it and find the owners

HE WOULD LOVE TO RAISE A CAT WITH U. two cats would be great too but you do both have busy jobs. cool with rodents too, would be cool with a dog or parrot in theory but in practice they take a lot of work and require a lot of social time and y'all are pretty busy being assassins.

he's trying to befriend the flock of crows around base so they'll be his little minions so u spend time together leaving them snack offerings

for trying to actually get a pet tho? ur on ur own

if you find a lost pet he may offer to hide it in the mirror world while u search for the owner BUT he will require payment. whether that is a kiss or you do his chores for a week. and he doesn't really do well with animals cause he just doesn't know what to do with them but he will do his best to help care for them in the mirror world if u can't be there because it's for u (and contrary to popular belief he's not completely heartless)

no. no strays in the house. i know it's cute and sad but it's all dirty, you don't know where it's been. but then you start tearing up and he's like ah fuck okay FINE tidy it up and bring it to the shelter but im outtie

he does find cats and snakes very graceful tho and may be open to having one as long as it's a good fit personality and needs wise and it's mostly your responsibility

he loves hearing about his partner's interests so he will talk about cool biological and developmental animal facts and how u can learn a lot about human behaviour by studying the nature around us

doesn't see the harm in helping out any strays or lost creatures u may find and is totally down to help

he will remind u that pets are a lot of responsibility tho!!! if u want one u have to figure out how to balance other responsibilities with it but he's cool with co-parenting

he thinks reptiles and amphibians are really fucking cool. he'd probably be interested in a bird too cause he has the patience and creativity for them but ur also both busy people. he'd LOVE having sweet rat babies b/c they are so smart!!!

if you find a lost pet he may try to be like ugh.... do we have time for this....... but he caves VERY fast. will whisper-yell at anyone who tries to give you grief for it because he doesn't want to startle the poor creature. will help you find its owner if it'll get the others off ur back

he would very much want to raise cute animals with u. you have work to think about but if u had a rather independent cat that would work. he'd also love rats and hamsters

starts dreaming of retiring with u one day so u can have a bunny and a yappy little pomeranian he can wear matching sweaters with

would very much like to be pet parents with u and it might honestly be easier to manage between the three of you

they'd do very well with rats, they could handle high energy pets like ferrets, parrots, and dogs, but y'know u do all have work and stuff. they are determined to find the right fit for all of u b/c ur so cute they can't NOT indulge u

maybe one day the three of u can retire on a heap of money and adopt an older cockatoo and harness train it so u can all go on adventures together, that's the dream!!!!

here is my headcanon for how marauders era girls spent their valentines day in their 6th year!

they started the day of with waking up at 04.00 am each of them had planned something to do during the day and Lily and Alice weren't dating anyone (yet), so they were really excited for the idea of spending the day together. Marlene and Dorcas were dating eachother and had been since the begining of their 3rd year at hogwarts but they were perfectly fine with spending their valentines day with Lily and Alice. They were happy to have a change this year.

Dorcas had planned the first activity they woke up, got ready and headed out their dorm quietly. They quickly got into Dorcas's car and drove to a beautiful flower field next to a old train track. Dorcas brought out some food a big cloth and layed it down

(imagine it something like this but with more flowers <3)

they all sat down and unpacked their food for a unforgettable picnic, they ate their breakfast peacefully while listening to their favorite playlist that they had made together with all the songs that reminded them of how much they should cherish their teen years

they all listened to the song Marlene resting her head on Dorcas's shoulder while everyone cuddling

after finishing up with their picnic they get back into the car blasting music, Lily drooping from the window

they arive to their next location again picked by Dorcas a beautiful lakeside. They were the only people there so they change into their bathing suits and jump into the water splashing and throwing eachother, piggy back riding and trying to push eacother of as they do so.

After splashing eachother for hours they get out and lay down at the fallen tree trunks while blasting the song tounge tied.

Not so long later Marlene drags everyone out and they all dance while singing the lyric

As the song finished the four girls got up and made their way to the car for their next destination

as they were pretty tired they all slept in the car well.. except Dorcas, even tho she said she was fine Lily did make her change positions half way the trip so she could also get some rest

Their next destination was picked by alice, she had suggested to go to the candy factory down town after a hour of driving they made it there it was a big, very big factory with a every single type of candy you could imagine Marlene and Dorcas sprinted their way into the candy jewlery making area and started making evrery single type of candy they saw

Eventually they sad down after hours of runing around and grabbing candy (including being screamed at by five diffrent employes) and started making bracelets while Lily and Alice walked around admiring every single candy piece they saw.

After spending a good 2 hours they bought around 10 bags of candy and headed out the store recieving many bad looks from the employes there.

It was time for the second place Alice had picked she only told Lily cause she was the one driving and they had become super close lately she would rant to Lily about her boy troubles and not so suprisingly Lily was a very good listener.

25 minutes later they arrived standing right in front of the animal shelter that they were about to enter

Alice had talked to the owners and decided to volunteer together to the shelter. They all immedietly ran inside and were greeted my hundereds of dogs,cats you name it. They all started petting and feeding every single one of them and chatted with the owners a little learning about each animals past life. Some of them were abondened cause the owners didnt like them, others were abused by previos owners but now they were here, they were safe. They all decided after graduating they would buy their house that they will live together with and come adopt animals here. With that they exsited the shelter and made their way to the next location.

By this time they started getting hungry even tho they had eaten many many candys this was perfect on Lily's part cause her plan was to take the girls to a cafe.

Yes it sounded lame but this cafe was diffrent it was a flower shop and a place where people could go write some poetry and display them on the walls. She went there a lot when she wanted to clear her mind from things and it usually helped. After driving for a good 45 minutes they made it there, they got changed into some clean clothes and went in.

As they entered the smell of fresh baker bread and pastry filled their nose, the walls were filled with old looking papers with diffrent handwriting notes.They quickly sat down ordered some food that came with a piece of old looking sailor paper which they knew was for the poetry

They all ate their food while writing in silence, it was a comfortable silence with the sound of classical music filling their ear. Lily finished hers she got up and hang hers up next to many other works the rest of them did the same and they walked over to the flower section, they were astonished by the selection of diffrent flowers as they looked around They each got bouqets with their favorite flowers paid for them and left the store.

Lily's next stop was about a hour away if they walked so they decided to park the car and walk admiring the beautiful architecture around them they chatted and the hour didnt even seem that long since they didnt even realise they were at the next stop.

They were at a art museum, it was such a Lily place to go to but they didnt mind as they entered and tried not to get kicked out for being loud Lily gave them lectures on all the artwork and statues around them, Lily loved learning about all there things, it made her feel something and everytime she researched about these for hours flipping through pages of old books in a old library for hours made her feel at home. She talked and gave lectures about the history behind every piece and the girls couldn't help but just become so proud of her. They spent hours and hours there and before leaving they look a couple pictures of eachother.

It was getting later and by the time they got to the car it was already 5pm now marlenes request was perfect for the time they first drove back to their school to get to their dorms they each took a quick shower and changed into some aestehtic but comfortable clothes. Marlene's first request was pretty basic she had rented four bikes and suprised the girls.They quickly went down the streets and headed to Marlene's bigger plan but had a lot of fun while teasing eachother trying to get eachother to fall while trying not to get run over cars,

During the way Lily had opened her favorite playlist and was blasting some songs

The sun was about to set at this point and they had arrived at the last location. There was a huge carnaval standing right in front of them. They quickly dropped their bikes of at the place Marlene had bought them and headed to the carnaval. They were all hungry at this point because they hadn't eaten anything since their lunch at the poetry cafe so they ate hot dogs and bought candy apples,cotton candy alongside eating the food they had gotten from the candy factory.

They spent hours going in diffrent rides marlene and Dorcas going on all the couples rides whole Lily and Alice played the games that are just impossible to beat but managed to get some teddy bears for eachother. They went on many rollercoasters even tho Lily and Alice weren't really willing to but did it for Marlene and Dorcas.

After going on all of the fun rides like spinning teacups, the death drop and one of their favorites the Ferris wheel since the view was insanely beautiful they decided to head back to their dorm it was 1.00 am at this point but they didnt care they ran like maniacs in the middle of the road while singing at the top of their lungs cause they know they aren't going to be teenagers forever and they might not even live through another year

That was one hell of a day.

Owner Training

So, this was just supposed to be another prompt, but it spiraled out of my control and became its own little drabble. Maybe I’ll make it a series because I like this Yoongi. He’s a cute lil brat. Also, YAY I WROTE SOMETHING!!

Word Count: 1082

You ran from your car to the door of your apartment, anxious to be out of the cold. It had been absolutely miserable all week and you couldn’t wait for the rain to go away already. Your shivering hands made unlocking the door a chore, but you finally managed it, slamming it shut behind you.

As you shed your jacket and kick off your shoes, you slowly begin to realize you are not just getting warm, you are getting toasty. The heater was cranked up in your apartment. You were so pissed at yourself because you’d just worked an eight hour shift during which you left your heater on all day long.

Deciding the damage was already done, you leave it be, reasoning that you still had to go switch into warm clothes before you could brave another temperature change.

With a weary sigh, you walk to your room and flip on the light, only to freeze in your tracks.

There was someone in your bed.

You walk slowly towards the silent lump that had only a flash of black hair peeking through the blanket burrito they’d rolled themselves into. The only person you could think of that would just help themselves into your home was your brother Jimin, but he never went anywhere without his dog hybrid, and there was definitely only one person in the bed. Deciding that it wouldn’t be wise to get too close, you pick up the curling iron off your vanity and use it to poke the lump.

“Jiminie? That you? Get out of my bed.”

The blanket burrito began to grumble and suddenly two fluffy black ears popped out.

Wait, ears?

You clenched the curling iron tighter and poked the lump again.

“Dude, up.”

Long and elegant fingers crept out of the blankets to pull some down enough to show their face as the person who was definitely not Jimin glared at you.

“I was having a good dream too, what the fuck.”

“Yoongi?”

The black cat hybrid sighed and slowly unraveled himself from the blankets, rolling until he sat on the side of the bed and scratched his ear.

Yoongi was a stray hybrid that you passed almost every day as you left for work. He lived in the park next to the complex and you’d developed a habit of leaving food for him or just saying hello when you were in a bit of a rush. On your days off, you’d sometimes go and watch him while he played his battered keyboard, trying to sneak huge tips into the box he always set out. If you ever put anything larger than $20, he would glare at you and demand you let him help you with a chore or something because, “I’m not an asshole,” he’d declare as his long and fluffy tail flickered in irritation. You’d always thought he was the cutest thing.

But that didn’t explain why he was here.

“Yoongi, how did you get in my house?”

“You left the window open. Who does that in the middle of a storm? I mean, besides the rain getting in, any weirdo would see a first floor window and just help themselves to your shit.”

“Good point,” You deadpanned, dropping the curling iron onto the end table.

Yoongi raises an eyebrow, indicating that he caught your sarcasm and chose not to acknowledge it. He stood up and fixed the comforter before walking out of the bedroom.

“I figured the least I could do is guard the place,” he answered so flatly that you knew he was just covering up his desperation. You could hear the slight hoarseness to his voice, showing signs of a cold. The poor thing was probably sick and freezing and saw your open window like the answer to a prayer. You knew Yoongi well enough to know that he’d never admit anything though.

“Don’t worry. I showered before using the bed, so it’s still clean,” he said as he walked to your kitchen, you following dumbly behind him.

What were you supposed to say or do in this situation? You couldn’t kick him out or you’d feel like an asshole since it was storming outside, but he should know better than to just break into people’s homes.

You watched as he helped himself to your cabinets and set the already filled electric kettle to boil, apparently making tea.

“You don’t have a hybrid, right? I can’t smell any in here, and I never smell any on you,” Yoongi’s voice knocks you out of your thoughts and you catch his amused grin as you struggle to refocus.

“Uh, no. No hybrids. My brother brings his by sometimes, but that’s it.”

“Do you...like hybrids?” Yoongi sounds nervous for the first time, and you wish you could see his face, but he’s already turned back to preparing the tea.

“Of course. I’ve just never gotten around to looking for one of my own.”

The silence over the next few minutes as he finishes preparing the tea is nervewracking. You feel like there is something he's trying to get you to say, but you couldn't figure out what.

Yoongi slides a cup towards you, staring at you like he could see into your soul.

“You seem like you’d be a good owner. Maybe. After a little training.”

The sip you’d taken suddenly goes down the wrong pipe and you sputter, coughing and banging your chest as you stare at him incredulously.

“Excuse me? What would I need training for? You’re the one breaking into peoples homes like you’re god damn Goldilocks.”

Hah, good one. Point to you.

Yoongi merely smugly grins and downs his own tea in one gulp before walking back to the bedroom as he scratches his belly.

“There’s nothing for it. I’ll have to be your hybrid. Finish your tea, take a shower, and come to bed.”

Yoongi enters the room, leaving you in a state of - you didn’t even know. Shock, disbelief, and yet...a strange yearning. Not knowing what else to do, you drink your tea like you’ve been told and head to the shower, preparing to apparently spend your first night as an owner.

Although, you weren’t sure who actually owned who.

Washington D.C.

It took me two visits, with an exact year in between, to realize how impressive and beautiful the capital of the United States really is. Museums, restaurants, stores, arts, nature, everything is few miles away from each other. A whole 3-day weekend does the trick and you’ll be able to at least get a major glimpse of what this great city has to offer.

If you are visiting from NYC, make sure to exit early in the morning: the 4 hours drive is quite tiring and the traffic tends to get dense while arriving to Washington. That is, of course, if you decide to rent a car - which if you are more than two, is already convenient rather than taking the bus or a train.

Pennsylvania Avenue is one of Washington’s main arteries. Over there, you can find the city’s top museums, as well as some of the most iconic monuments and places of interest. Starting from the right wing - let’s use political gags here for the sake of the storytelling- , you should visit and be marveled at the US Capitol. A beautiful, circular pond surrounds it. On its right, if you face the Capitol, you’ll find the US Botanical Gardens. We usually found available parking place over there, and remember that during the weekends or national holidays is free, so make sure to go early to find a decent spot. All the Smithsonian Museums are over the major park that goes from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial. This park, to the surprise of many, is called National Mall. You will be able to find the Museum of Natural History, The National Museum of Air and Space, The National Museum of African Art and the Smithsonian Museum of American History. Others like the Holocaust Museum, the International Spy Museum (which Im not sure if it has something to do with the FBI or not but apparently is very good and fun), and other galleries are also worth checking out.

We took advantage of the free museum day and went to the Air and Space Museum (the closest thing I’ve been to NASA, since in Russia, the one I wanted to go was under renovation, and I really can’t complaint, here I had the chance to touch a piece of lunar surface for free!), my parents went to the Museum of Natural History while I went to the Newseum.

What a great, fantastic place that unfortunately will be closed soon due to funding, Hopefully it will be relocated soon, but the current location by Pennsylvania Avenue is already a major win since it’s an architectural witness of Washington and the United States heritage and legacy. After a major immersion, where one have the opportunity to re-live and understand the past 500 years through news headlines and mankind milestones that woven American and World’s History, specially in the West, one needs to recover after such an intense yet deep bombing of information and, specially for a communicator like me, it’s an invitation for self reflection. I wrote this down the day I visited it: Today, I remembered the joy of being a communicator. It is a damn privilege. Living abroad, or “outside” forces you to think and rethink the “inside” and the others sides. It makes you grow, it makes you stronger. And this is the combo of the communicator who travels. After some greatly memorable museums visit, you should continue walking down the massive and beautiful green esplanade called National Mall. You will be facing the striking Obelisk, which is actually the Memorial of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and will be tempted to make a quick stop, either to chillax by the grass if its summer time, or to grab and put on some calories if its winter by the compulsory food-tracks stop. Kebabs, hot dogs and sandwiches are there to satisfy your crave and give you energy to continue the extenuated walk down Washington DC.

If you stop wisely and look carefully, on the right side of the Obelisk more security than green starts to clutter the view, and this’s because, in the distance, there’s the most famous political venue in the world: The White House. From there, you will be only able to see it from its back, where the actual Global Office is. But, if you dare to go outside the National Mall, by Lafayette Park, you may be able to have a closer look of its front, usually covered by tourists and manifestations signs

On the other hand, if you decide to continue your walk instead of the detour, you should continue walking towards the reflecting pool and the Abraham Lincoln Memorial. The pool is huge, and the effect of the reflecting Obelisk once you arrive to the Memorial is breathtaking. The whole walk is intense and impressive, even for someone who is not an American. One feels like Lisa Simpsons seeking for inspiration or advice, or even like Forrest Gump before giving the Anti-Vietnam speech in front of the Capitol. It’s majestic and the feeling intensifies while discovering the Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial with all the names of those who felt in battle.

After wandering around the beauties of the adjacent parks and the immense gooses that you’ll be able to meet, try to make a slight turn towards Arlington Cemetery, where, among other distinguished people, you will be able to find the Kennedy Family. It is a beautiful place regardless of it’s meaning. It’s gardened to detail and super well taken care of, the amount of crosses and sticks representing the buried people are endless: you look towards the horizon and little vertical white stripes decorate the view as if they were doves waiting on the grass. We arrived almost during its closing hours and we really wanted to be able to pay our honors to the Kennedy’s, so, walking on a very fast and fun pace, we made it, against all odds, guides and rain, to actually take a glimpse of the Memorial, took same pictures and created this fantastic memory before they kicked us out and before our car got stuck in the almost-already-closed parking lot.

On our way to the hotel, the Holliday Inn Airport, we could see the Pentagon and the 9/11 Pentagon Memorial. On the same way, there’s the Thomas Jefferson one, by the Basin and lake, with a beautiful view and pedal boats rental for you to enjoy when the weather allows it.

If there’s a compulsory visit aside from museums in Washington is to stroll around Downtown and the beautiful wharf and old architecture by Georgetown.

Our highlight was being together, and we kind of wing it without much previous research, so let’s Bites & Kms do it for you. Embrace your early morning brunch around Dupont Circle, heading to Sorellina’s for the best sandwiches in town. We had some fantastic scramble eggs, one legendary meatball sandwich (my dad’s first) and a delicious and memorable pastrami one. With St. Peregrino’s Arancinna and dark, strong coffee, this Italian spot with tons of old photos yet Nordic minimalistic look was one of the best Washington findings. Off the grid, no queue, great personalized service.

Discover the old construction and architecture, let your mind wonder as if you were in London and take a minute to compare th contrast between the big, massive avenues and highways versus the narrow, picturesque and cobblestone Georgetown streets. The beautiful painted doors, the merge of styles and the multiple stores and restaurants options make it a delightful walk. You can check out a place to grab a quick snack, like we did, in Luke’s, a chain yet delicious sea food and crab place. They made a fantastic lobster roll which, given the proximity to the sea, it’s freshly caught and delicious.

ater on, you can finish your stroll or dedicate another full day to be by the Potomac River or Washington Harbor Front. New venues such as hotels, restaurants and other services are being placed there, ridiculously expensive and luxurious housing options surround it’s walking area, which displays beautiful designs of modern art and National flags, and hosts a winter ring during the cold season, which I assume transforms into either a music venue or a cafe, like the Rockefeller Plaza does in NYC.

That area surrounding Georgetown has everything: from delicious restaurant, college bars, Georgetown University, which is the oldest Catholic University in the US, it’s harbor front and its theaters. Washington can be fun too, so dont hesitate to enjoy some drinks around: The Sovereign, Martin’s Tavern, El Centro DF were the ones we went to. The Sovereign is a beautiful, old style speakeasy, usually overcrowded and not superb service, but the drinks make up for it. Martin’s Tavern is a colleague bar for cheap drinks and finger food whereas El Centro could be a little bit more vivid and fun. There are also piano bars and jazz clubs which we didn't explore but are suppose to be worth the time. Instead, we did olive oil and vinegar tasting at Georgetown Olive Oil Co.

Seriously, one of the highlights for sure: countless oils and aceto options, with unique blends and flavors ready to be sampled and enjoyed. It was fantastic. They had little cups for you to tried and tiny tiny fresh croutons to go with them and help you change the flavor between one another.

To greet Washington goodbye, my family’s and my favorite craving is always Italian, so I found this beautiful gem which is open until late: a cafe, a store, a grocery, a winery and a restaurant all in one, managed and served by it’s owners. This amazing Italia wonderland is called Via Umbria, and according to my dad, you will be eating not only with your mouth but with your eyes too, since the view will be delightful. We had home-made pasta, a perfectly cooked chicken and a delicious creamy dessert. House wine never disappoints when it comes to these kind of traditional trattorias, so we went for some glasses of house red to marry it with the pasta. It was fantastic DC, you fulfilled my belly, my mind and my heart. Until next time!
