Questions and answers below the cut. All questions for Mirrored Sunset(🔄). Manga spoilers.
1: To the Hashira, what are your crows' names, and your hobbies?
[I don't have any names picked for the Kasugai Crows, so I won't be answering that one]
Michikatsu: I usually meditate, or work on strategy. Or train. That's when I'm not wrangling Nezuko and her friends.
Douma: If I'm not training, or wrangling the kids, then I try to relax. Meditating, the occasional hot bath, whatever I have time for. On certain days, like birthdays or anniversaries, I'll visit Kotoha and tell her about whatever updates I have.
Hakuji: I mostly focus on training, especially with Keizo. But I'm also spending a lot of time with Koyuki and we're preparing for the baby.
Nakime: I usually write music and practice with my biwa. Both for my fighting techniques, as well as to play in public. The extra money from my music is certainly not unwelcome, according to Master Kibutsuji.
Gyokko: Of course, I'm working my hardest as an artist in my spare time! Those pots won't make themselves, and I can never turn down an opportunity to release my creative juices!
Gyutaro: I usually train, and I had a chance to teach Inosuke some of the skills I learned when Ume and I were in Yoshiwara.
Ume: Well, I've been learning how to sew, thanks to Nezuko, so I practice that. And I also like to try new hairstyles, on myself or Nezuko. If it's not that, I'm usually with at least one of my brothers, and maybe training, if I feel up for it.
Enmu: I usually work on perfecting my techniques, or I check in with Master Kibutsuji.
Rui: I'm usually having bonding activities with my family. We like to play games, and stuff like that.
Tamayo: I tend to spend my free time experimenting with my various drugs and poisons. Trying to create the most effective serums I can, and I'm hoping to create something we can use to kill Ubuyashiki.
2: To the Twelve Kizuki, what are your Blood Demon Arts?
Gyomei: Namu Amida Butsu. My blood, when spilled on the earth, allows me to control it.
Sanemi: I control wind. It's easiest to control the currents I create from my wounds, but I can still control normal air currents. Makes it kinda hard for those Slayers to fight when they can't use those breathing techniques of theirs...
Giyuu: Hydrokinesis.
Kyojurou: I have the ability to construct and control flames! I most often use a sword of flames, especially against Slayers!
Muichirou: I create mist... I can't remember what it does, though... [OOC: It has varying effects]
Obanai: I create snakes. Aside from Kaburamaru, of course. They're venomous, and so am I.
Mitsuri: I have so much love for everyone, that I just draw them in! And they're all so sweet, too![OOC: She has a hypnotic aura that draws people to her, and makes them incapable of attacking her.] I can also control my flesh as needed, and I've had little kittens for companions since I became a Lower Moon! They're so cute, and they let me see through their eyes, too!
Tengen: I have the flashy ability to create and use sounds. Mimicking voices, releasing sound waves, though I prefer the latter.
Shinobu: I create butterflies from my blood, and I have complete control over them. When they bite someone, they secrete a deadly venom. It's far from a quick death, if I so desire. And I do quite enjoy watching the effects from time to time! It's so fascinating!
Genya: It's kind of weird. I can get the powers from certain flesh I eat. So I can copy Blood Demon Arts, or use the elements of Slayers' breathing techniques.
Kanao: My Blood Demon Art is similar to Shinobu's, that I create butterflies. Though, mine act differently. Anyone they bite falls under my control, and will follow my orders without question. I've even made Slayers slaughter their allies, and they can't help but follow my command.
Zenitsu: I'm fast, and I also emit electricity. And I can control the output, so I either stun or kill someone.

I’ve Got you
Tumblr media
Kyojuro Rengoku X GN! Reader
CW: injury,blood, angst-ish to fluff
Scenario: Just because you are a Tsuguko doesn’t mean you get out of going on missions yourself. But what If you don’t return on time? What if you are injured?
Completing missions was never difficult for you, a perk of being a Tsuguko. Personal training by a Hashira has honed your skills. Your technique appears flawless, ensuring success on most tasks. As long as you didn’t run into any upper moons you’d be perfectly fine. Right?
That was your assumption until you reached your destination: a clearing tucked in the heart of a forest. Surrounded by miles of wilderness in every direction. You’d already spent too long traveling a different route due to the weather so you were technically a few days behind.
Upon your arrival, you immediately spotted the clearing, but to your surprise, a demon stood at its center—your target, it has to be.
You drew your sword slowly, cautious not to draw immediate attention to yourself as you approached. Upon getting a clearer view, you studied the demon's appearance intently.
It stood tall, with long white hair and a bluish tint to its skin.
But it must have noticed you staring, as it whipped its head around in seconds.
Its bright red eyes looked terrifying, and its long, claw like nails only added to its unsettling appearance.
You assumed your stance and charged at the demon, employing the breathing technique Kyojuro had tirelessly trained you to master.
However, as you closed the distance, an odd sensation crept over your body, causing everything to seem to move in slow motion.
Looking up, you noticed the demon sporting a creepy grin on its face. With a deliberate motion, it slowly raised its hand, dragging its disgusting claws down your left side.
The sudden surge of pain was intense.
Suddenly, time seemed to unfreeze as you plummeted to the ground in an instant. Looking around, you realized the demon had vanished without a trace.
Not a single hit landed, and it had slipped away.
Despite the searing pain, you attempted to stand, but the agony was overwhelming. Glancing down at your blood-soaked uniform and the wound beneath it, the fight wasn't over.
You couldn't stop now, not with the demon's still alive. That's what you tried to convince yourself.
You attempted to push yourself off the ground, but the pain held you back, causing your vision to blur and your eyelids to grow heavy.
"Am I bleeding out?" The thought flashed through your mind as your head connected with the ground.
It felt like mere seconds had passed when you were abruptly pulled out of unconsciousness by the sounds of yelling and talking.
"Y/N? Y/N?" The voice sounded oddly familiar.
"If you bleed out like this, you'll die in literally the most un-flashy way possible," the voice continued.
Ah, Tengen.
Through the small slit of your eyes, you saw him crouched down in front of you.
"There you are. Glad you're finally awake. I was worried you'd be dead for sure," he chuckled.
As you fully opened your eyes, I noticed that your side had been somewhat bandaged up, though it wasn't exactly top-tier first aid.
He frowned. "Look, I'm aware I'm not Shinobu, but it'll do until we get back."
You nod slowly and manage to push yourself back to your feet.
"How... how long was I out for?" You ask him nervously.
"Well, considering Rengoku paced around HQ to the point where the master sent him off on some pointless mission, I'd say quite a while," he rolled his eyes.
"I'm serious. How long has it been?" You ask again.
He stops and thinks for a second. "You've probably only been out for a day and a half, but technically, you should have been back two days ago."
Your heart begins to race. You've been out far too long, undoubtedly causing Kyo worry. What if he's angry? Did the master really have to send him off on a mission to calm down?
Your mind races a mile a minute before you finally acknowledge Tengen again.
"Let's head back now. When will Kyojuro return?" Your voice sounds desperate. You want to see him. You need to see him.
He crosses his arms in front of his chest. "Rengoku is probably almost back by now. Like I said, it was just a lame mission to get him to mellow out for a second."
Suddenly, his hard, sarcastic gaze softens with a hint of concern. "Hey, come on, I'll help you back. I know you're probably in a lot of pain right now."
As he extended his hand to you, you finally accepted it. You liked Tengen; he was a good friend to Kyojuro, and really, that's all you cared about. He could be a complete asshole or a genuinely kind person, but you just got lucky today.
It took a while, but he was fast. Together, you both made it back to headquarters in half the time it would have taken alone.
When you finally arrived, he guided you straight to the Butterfly Mansion to get your injury taken care of.
Shinobu took you in and started to properly disinfect and re-bandage your wound.
You stare at her silently as she patches you up. Shinobu always wears that lifeless smile, yet she still looks remarkably beautiful. You know her story and admire her persistence and her invaluable contributions to the demon slayer corps.
"Y/N, you need to rest. I'll have Tengen inform the master about the demon that got away," her voice maintains its usual tone, neither angry nor particularly happy.
"I wasn't able to kill it. I'm sorry," you confess, feeling the weight of failure on your shoulders. That demon may not have been an upper moon, but it was undeniably strong. You almost feel embarrassed. Did you underestimate the demon, or were you too overconfident in your abilities?
Your thoughts are interrupted when Shinobu tilts your chin to look at her. "I assume you aren't used to failure, are you?" Her expression changes; instead of her usual painted smile, this time it seems genuinely sympathetic.
You feel embarrassment wash over you; she read you like a book.
"Y/N, not every mission will end in victory. It's enough that you didn't bleed out on the ground. I think that alone will make Rengoku very happy," Shinobu reassures you.
Shinobu could be extremely harsh, maybe even downright mean sometimes, but right now, she's comforting you. It feels good.
"Thank you, I really needed to hear that—"
You are interrupted by the sound of a crow flying around the mansion.
"Master Rengoku has returned from his mission!" it caws loudly.
Suddenly, the stress floods back over you. You've never been injured like this before. How will he react?
Shinobu notices your reaction and steps back from you.
"I'll be going now. Try to rest up while your injuries heal. I'll check back on you in a few hours."
You watch her leave, wondering if she's going to tell Kyojuro you're here. Does she already know how he'll react to the situation? Is it really even that big of a deal?
Maybe you're just overthinking this. As a Tsuguko, it's understandable that you'd sustain injuries every now and then. As a partner though…it's different.
What was only minutes felt like hours, but eventually, you heard the sounds of the doors to the mansion open.
You recognized those footsteps; you had heard them every day of your life.
Once the doors finally opened, you saw Kyojuro. His eyes scanned you up and down, taking you in before he officially entered the room.
He looked so relieved but also worried as he walked over next to you, sitting in a chair beside the bed.
Before you could say anything, he took both your hands in his and rested his head on top of them.
"Thank goodness you're safe. I was so worried," his voice was quiet and gentle.
You didn't know what reaction to expect, but it wasn't this one.
A couple of moments of silence passed, and he finally lifted his head to look at you again. This time, his face seemed more serious.
"What happened out there? What demon did this to you?" His serious tone wasn't one you ever got used to.
"I'm not sure," you admit.
"If I'm being completely honest with you, I didn't get the chance to learn much about it at all. All I know is that it has the ability to slow down its surroundings, allowing it to attack at a normal rate, and that's how I got here." It felt embarrassing to admit your failure, but his face showed understanding.
Kyojuro knew how hard you had worked and trained, and every solo mission you went on had been a complete success up until this point. So honestly, he seemed just as shocked as you were.
Once he noticed your bandaged wound his serious face changed into a worried and sympathetic one.
"I'm so sorry, sunflower. I should've looked into the mission more before agreeing to let you go. I would never want you to be put in such a position," he said, pushing a piece of your hair behind your ear and staring into your eyes.
The embarrassment you tried to shut out just came rushing back in that moment.
"Please don't pity me. I failed my mission. It's all my fault. I understand if you are disappointed, but once I heal, I will make sure to find that demon and take it down."
He looked surprised for a moment, then a small smile appeared on his face.
"Little flame, there is no doubt in my mind that you are a skilled swordsman. I'm grateful not only to have you as my Tsuguko but also as my partner," he said, reaching up and planting a small kiss on your forehead.
"Don't be so hard on yourself, my love. You did your best! As long as you return home to me at the end of the day, I will never be disappointed in you."
Your heart melted at his words. Kyo would never be angry with you. He loved you. All he ever wanted was for you to be safe and happy.
His bright, happy smile made everything in the world seem good again. You wanted to just wrap your arms around him and hold on tight.
Then he stood up, wrapping his arms around your shoulders gently.
You finally felt the weight of the situation being lifted off your shoulders. The demon, the fear of bleeding out on the ground, the idea of disappointing Kyojuro, all of it gone.
Tears escaped the corners of your eyes. You hadn't let yourself cry this entire time, but his arms felt safe. As long as Kyojuro was there to support you, you finally felt vulnerable.
Kyojuro's arms felt so protective around you as you cried into him. He knew the stress you had been put through was probably overwhelming.
And even though he'd never show it, his anger made him vow to find this demon and ensure it would never hurt you again.

demon slayer hcs: muichiro meeting soulmate!reader
characters: muichiro x fem!reader, tanjiro (mentioned), nezuko (mentioned)
warnings: swordsmith village spoilers!!!
AN: soulmate au where the first words your soulmate says to you are tattooed somewhere on your body!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MUICHIRO
MY BABYYYYYYY
alright so let’s set the scene
you’re already a demon slayer
so obviously you already know who muichiro is
i mean how could u not? he’s a hashira duh
but!
even though you know who he is… you’ve never spoken with him
UNTILLLLL
you go to the swordsmith village with tanjiro!
and happen to be taking a nap when muichiro comes to wake tanjiro up to ask some questions
when you wake up you see him sitting in front of the kamado siblings
you don’t say anything you just listen to their conversation
muichiro does glance at you when you first sit up but that’s it
no verbal acknowledgment from him at all
rip
but then a demon pulls up
and with one flap of his lil leaf fan
you all go flying
nezuko grabs onto tanjiro and is able to keep him in the building
but you and muichiro are zooming through the air
when you begin your descent towards the ground you attempt to grab onto a tree branch to stop your fall but you’re unsuccessful
you close ur eyes tightly bracing for impact
when you feel someone catch you…
and then throw u straight onto the ground lmfao
u open your eyes and look up to see muichiro staring at you blankly before he says
“for a demon slayer, you’re very uncoordinated. it’s a wonder you made it past the final selection.”
and then he’s off
running back to the village
not giving you even a second to say anything back
at first when standing up you scoff in half rage half disbelief at his statement
before u freeze and your face turns bright red
bc NO FRICKEN WAY
immediately ur pulling the hem of your shirt up enough to read the words imprinted on the side of your ribcage
“for a demon slayer, you’re very uncoordinated. it’s a wonder you made it past the final selection.”
girllll u got yo self a hashiraaaaaaaa as a soulmateeeee
after rereading the words on your ribcage for the hundredth time, you fix your shirt and take off in the direction that muichiro went
you don’t find the mist hashira
instead u find a demon!!
yay! isn’t that so fun!
a large slimey 4 legged fish demon with a vase sitting on top of its back
and in front of it is a swordsmith child struggling to fight it off
you of course stop running after muichiro and jump in front of the child
your first attack hits the vase, chipping the top off of it but not breaking it
the fish demon roars in pain
you ignore the pained cry of the demon and with a few flicks of your wrist the demon fish falls
cut into pieces
you turn to check on the masked child
only for the fish demon to regenerate
you turn to block the hit coming towards you but you’re too late
the fish hits you and you fly into a tree
the demon picks up the screaming terrified child and begins to squeeze
you stand, ready to fight for the child
when suddenly the arm of the demon is cut off and the kid goes flying into the air
you rush to catch him before he hits the ground
and when you look up after catching him
muichiro is standing in front of you both, sword at the ready
he tells you and the child to run
you stand up saying, “the vase. i hit it before. that’s it’s weak spot.” before pulling the kid behind you
muichiro nods at your words before destroying the vase and the demon
when the demon falls, the kid leaps from behind you, clinging to muichiro and yelling apologies for calling him a “seaweed head”
you giggle at the sight before turning to go back to the village
as you begin running through the forest toward the village
muichiro appears in front of you with the kid thrown over his shoulder
you stop in your tracks looking at him
he sets the kid down and opens the front of his uniform to reveal your words from earlier inked into the side of his ribcage
“the vase. i hit it before. that’s it’s weak spot.”
you smile at the words and then at muichiro who in turn gives you a small, almost unnoticeable smile back
and then you and muichiro speak the same words at the same time,
“be safe.”
and you go your separate ways for the rest of the battle
after the battle, the sun has risen and you find tanjiro, nezuko, and the others
but no sign of muichiro
looking around almost frantically, your heart beat erratic due to your panic
tears welling in your eyes at the thought of losing your soulmate after just finding him hours prior
when a hand gently sets itself on your shoulder
you spin around
and there he is
hair tousled from the fight
small wounds littering his body
uniform ripped open displaying the tattoo of your first words to him
but he’s alive
you launch yourself at him crying, “i’m so glad you’re safe”
and he smiles softly patting your head
“i’m glad you’re safe too.”

And a fluff thought stemming from bundle of joy just some years after
All I'm cracking up at is this big scary wind hashira, terrifies the lower ranked slayers. Middle of training when they break for lunch, Y/N coming by with their now toddler daughter. Watch the slayers head spin when this lil girl is absolutely delighted to see her dad, running to hug his leg squealing
No, because this has sent me into a spiral.
Imagine Sanemi has the lower-ranked slayers nearly passing out from how brutal his training is, but they're also too scared to actually stop because they know it will just make their day a thousand times worse.
Sanemi is in the middle of laying into one of them because his form was wrongwrongwrong and how can he possibly expect to cut a demon's head off if he can't even hold a fucking sword, when they're interrupted by a shriek of laughter and joy from across the training grounds.
At first, the group of trainees see the Lunar Hashira crossing the dirt towards them, and they think, oh thank god, she's here to save us from Shinazugawa's wrath, she's going to help, thank god, thank god.
But instead she stops, and she's not looking at them, she's looking at the Wind Pillar and the Wind Pillar alone (like hello?? they're here too?? damn), and he stops the entire training session.
Suddenly, a small, white-haired, pink-cheeked miniature human peeks out from behind the Lunar Pillar's leg. She takes one look at the scarred menace who is low-key torturing this poor group of slayers, and she lets out the loudest little shriek of delight and begins toddling towards Shinazugawa as fast as her little chubby legs can carry her because she just learned to walk and now nothing can stop her.
And Shinazugawa smiles, and not in his signature sadistic manner that makes his trainees nearly wet themselves, but he has an actual genuine smile on that scarred face of his. Then, he does something even creepier -- he laughs.
He squats down and opens his arms as this little ball of pudge and snowy hair waddles to him, and he scoops her up and puts her on his shoulders while she claps her little hands together, laughing.
Sanemi then turns back to the group and for half a second, they think maybe Shinazugawa is in a good enough mood to dismiss them for the day because he can't possibly want his little angel to see him all scary and mean and angry, right?
Sanemi does decide he's done with training for the day -- but they're not. Instead, the Lunar Hashira -- his wife -- is stepping in to run them on defensive drills. Most of them haven't trained under the Lunar Hashira, so they breathe a sigh of relief, because surely, surely her training cannot be anywhere near as life-threatening as Shinazugawa's.
The Lunar Hashira looks so kind, so gentle, as she unsheathes her actual fucking weapon and begins using her breathing forms on them (because it's a mostly defensive-style of fighting, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have some very fast, very brutal offensive techniques saved for when she needs them). The slayers are forced to run, to contort their bodies into unimaginable shapes in a desperate attempt to dodge her crescent-shaped attacks. By the time the sun sets, several of them have thrown up, and a couple of them have passed out.
Meanwhile, Sanemi stands off to the sidelines, daughter still balanced on his shoulders, as she oohs and ahhs the display of lights and shapes unfolding before her. She squeals in delight every time her mama makes another pretty crescent moon and is so entranced by the dazzling show before her that she can't hear the screams of the slayers trying desperately avoid getting slashed to pieces.
And Sanemi has never been happier in his entire life.
Tumblr media
Sanemi's proudest moment is when his daughter, who just hit speaking age, loudly says "fuck!" in her little, cute voice when she drops her piece of ohagi in the dirt outside their estate one afternoon. Too bad she also said it in front of her mother, and suddenly Sanemi's proudest moment also becomes the moment he learns what true fear is.

What...?
Summary: You're a hashire to truly fear
Type:Scenario: M!Reader
Version:Demon slayer
Tumblr media
~
The hashiras are scary, yes. That is a fact that anyone could see. But, you. The Kyofu hashira, the truly scary hishira. From your aura all the way to your sword. Your face always has an almost soulless look. Your sword is sharper, more jagged and painful. You're well known. Demons who survived your attacks warn others. That being said, the demon corps isn't the only thing you're well known through. Demons, Muzan himself knows of you. Demons dread the day they met you. The Kakushi are terrified of you, and so do the lower ranks of demon slayers. Even some hashiras are scared of you, or at least know better to get on your bad side. Tanjiro didn't understand why you had a horrifying aura, yet you smelled calm yet angry. So why? Why are people so scared of you? The real question is, does he want to know? No. It's brutal, and you earned the name Kyofu Hashira for a reason. What...what did you do? And Zenitsu, he's already a scary cat, but when he met you. He practically jumped out of his skin. He would have peed himself if you stayed any longer than you did. And Inosuke, he learned the hard way. He tried to fight you, he annoyed you, and yelled at you, and just wouldn't stop. So the moment his head came in contact with your back, it was practically over with for him. Let's just say he didn't say a word when he got back to the butterfly mansion. He worried Tanjiro because he could smell the dread off of Inosuke, and Zenitsu was terrified. He could hear his heart racing. You're not one to be messed with, whether it's human, demon, or even your own boss. You know your ground, and know others' weaknesses, you truly are someone to fear.
~
[A/n:Don't mind me, I'm just gonna slide this over. I hope you enjoyed]

obanai, rengoku, gyomei, and all four uzuis x reader
part one here
Tumblr media
part two of hashira x a reader who nearly died fighting demons!! idk if you can tell but this was SO HARD FOR ME TO DO!!!!! this is my first time ever writing for or even about obanai and gyomei really so i struggled with it! please let me know if they're super ooc i tried my hardest but idk if i got the characterization correct!!
tengen uzui plus makio uzui, suma uzui, and hinatsuru uzui:
•you'd wake up after being taken to the butterfly mansion with suma On Top of you crying into your shirt. makio tried to let her go but hina told her to let her have this :( tengen is just sitting quietly next to your bedside, with hina and makio sitting opposite him, all three holding onto both your hands
•tengen told you your actions were very unflashy and that you worried them. they had heart attacks when the crow arrived to inform them of the situation
•suma cries at you to never be so reckless again, makio scolds you (it's how she expresses love), and hina says you should join lord tengen in retirement
•if you lose an eye or something tengen WILL insist you match his. gotta be flashy even when disabled. he's a disabled icon
•even with his long lasting injuries, tengen, suma, makio, and hina are still all shinobi so expect your physical therapy process to be intense
kyojuro rengoku:
•honestly. he's an absolute wreck. has not left your side since he was alerted of your condition, not to do anything besides use the restroom. shinobu has to wrestle him from your beside to make him eat and sleep (sleeping in a chair does not count unfortunately for him)
•is so relieved when you wake up he Literally can't stop smiling. also yelling. he's yelling a Lot. but not in a bad way of course, he's just speaking Very enthusiastically! he might even cry from happiness at seeing you alive and mostly well and moving around
•will literally do everything for you. will not let you move a muscle to do anything while you're recovering essentially. like oh you want some water? he's getting it. you need a book/pen/a blanket, literally anything that you reach for he's going no no you don't need to be moving around let me get it for you even if the item is in your reach
iguro obanai:
•is probably the only one who gives you peace. of course he's concerned, and he's been staying by your side waiting for when you wake up, but will give you space to breathe
•i'm going to assume if you like obanai you also like snakes, because when you wake up kaburamaru is wrapped around you too, he was also concerned okay :(
•would quietly tell you how much you worried him and how he had rushed there. and by that i mean he RAN nobody has ever seen him move that fast outside of battle. he was just really concerned:(
•will hiss at people who try to enter your room in the butterfly mansion. the butterfly girls and aoi are annoyed by him but just ignore it, and inosuke actually starts snorting back at his hissing and they almost actually fight.
•really reliable while you're recovering, a silent but steady presence at your side. is a little bit of a simp and will do whatever you ask bc your hurt :( of course he'll do anything for you :(
gyomei himejima:
•would be silently kneeling by your bedside in prayer with tears streaming down his face when you wake up. immediately notices when you're actually awake from the change in your breathing and immediately stands up and grabs your hands
•also another one who gives you breathing space, but is a little more clingy. might not voice it aloud but is terrified of losing you too and being alone again
•you relish in his strong but silent presence by your side, he doesn't have much to say beyond the fact he was worried about you, but he's more of an actions speak louder than words type person and is there when you need him
•an actual rock for you during your recovery. him being disabled doesn't mean he's not able to help you with your physical therapy and taking care of yourself!! very content to help you
•maybe okay. hear me out. maybe you could convince him to sneak you out and give you piggyback rides once you're well, but not completely healed enough to leave the butterfly mansion. he seems like a big softie who will give into anything that doesn't have any real consequences

Just like them
With Hantengus clones♡ AHHH THIS IS PROBABLY THE CUTEST IDEA I CAME UP WITH
Warnings: female bodied reader, demon reader, harpy reader (on Urogi's part), reader is mentioned to have darker skin and thicker hair, slightly suggestive(?), fluff, mention of other uppermoons
Aizetsu
Tumblr media
Aizetsu met you through douma. He found you, a demon with skin more melanated and one horn who didn't like to be around humans or demons. Douma decided to introduce you to a demon who is similar to you. His name is Aizetsu
Aizetsu's first impression of you was just as negative as yours. "You're not an upper rank? You must've run into some strong slayers... how sad," he frowned. You frowned as well. "It's a pity, but you're an upper rank, meaning you'd have to run into the hashira... it's terrifying, isn't it?" You look up at Aizetsu as his eyebrows knit at your response
Aizetsu decided to listen to douma on taking you in. Not just because douma is an upper rank, but because he didn't think he'd feel some happiness to be around another demon like him, it felt like a gift. He introduced you to his brothers, but you've always been quiet around them, feeling envy you can't have emotions like that too
Aizetsu was calm like you, which made you feel safer around him. The two of you would relate a lot to each other, which brought you closer, "I hate when Sekido yells at me. He's so mean, " you say with tears filling your water line. Aizetsu comes closer to you, also having the same sad expression, "me too... but I'd never yell at you, " he says and cups your cheek
Aizetsu only smiled around you, not all the time but once in a while. "Can we stay together forever? I don't want you to leave me, " he said with a trembling voice, holding back tears. "I can't leave you. My heart would break," you said, hugging him tightly and crying, making Aizetsu hug you back, crying as well
Sekido
Tumblr media
Sekido met you, though, akaza. Despite akaza hating anyone weaker than him, he had some respect for Upper Moon 4 and found a demon, you who's a lot like Sekido
Sekido and you would bump heads a lot since both of you are easily angered and didn't take any shit from each other. "I'm much stronger than you! How dare you speak to me like that, let alone make that face at me, " he says, raising his voice. You snarl. "And how dare you, a man, speak to a woman like me like that. I don't give a damn if you're stronger. " You raise your voice back
Sekido gets very frustrated with you since he met someone who had the same level as anger as him, but oddly, that drew him closer to you. He couldn't help but smirk whenever you'd boss his brothers around and called them out on their stupidity. Finally, he'd met someone with common sense even if you were a pain in his ass
Sekido would always bring up how he's stronger and would kill you at any time he wished, but it always ends up being empty threats because he actually felt some enjoyment having you around
Sekido makes sure he's alone with you to hold your hand and look away from you. "The fuck are you doing now?" You said looking at him "Shut up. I'm just enjoying you're presents around me. Stupid woman, " he says, and you see his ears turning red. You chuckle "I enjoy your presents too, you stupid man"
Karaku
Tumblr media
Karaku had met you through gyokko. You reminded him of another demon he knew and decided to bring you back to meet him, and boy, were you excited to meet the demon named Karaku
Karaku loved you immediately, and you loved him right back. "Wow, you're gorgeous! I haven't met any other demons with this skin tone as me and my brothers" Karaku laughs, having his arm around you. "Why thank you, and your hair is thick like mine too. It's very handsome if i might say"
Karaku and you would flirt back and forth even in front of his brothers, which would make sekido yell at you both. If you went on missions with Karaku and his brothers, you would get scolded just as much as Karaku by sekido for giving each other the most wicked ideas just for "fun" instead of taking your fights with slayers seriously
Karaku had a habit of always sticking his tounge at you if you ever got mad or upset to cheer you up and you couldn't help but always smile sticking your tounge out back at him and even sometimes putting your tounge on his making you both laugh
Karaku likes to cuddle with you under the moonlight alone. You have your arms around him as well with smile and close your eyes, resting your head on his chest. "I love you. Can i be your girlfriend?" You ask bluntly but still feeling flustered at your own question. "You were mine from the start, pretty girl"
Urogi
Tumblr media
Urogi had a fight with his brothers for the first time ever and flew out of the house for a while to clear his head that day, but he never regretted that because he met you
Urogi was shocked to meet you but was really happy. "Wow! I never met a male harpy! your eyes say upper 4" You gasped and clenched your claws together and covered your mouth "Wow you're an upper rank! That's so freaking cool, dude!". The rush of excitement came to Urogi, and he had the biggest smile on his face. "I don't know what a harpy is, but yeah! And me? You look so freaking cool, too! Your wings are gorgeous!"
Urogi made it his priority to meet up with you after that day whenever he was done a mission and sometimes even brought you around his brothers. His favorite thing to do with you was to lock your talons together and fly high in the night sky
Urogi loved how you felt just as much joy in fighting humans as him and would even made it a game to torture random demon slayers you'd find and play catch with them with your bird like feet in the sky, laughing at their screams
Urogi is a big cuddler and didn't miss the chance to cuddle with you since you loved to cuddle to but never found the right demon to do that with until you met him. You two would be cuddling, facing each other with your arms and legs wrapped around each other and your wings covering you both. "Hey, stay with me forever. I don't think I'd feel joy if you left. I'm strong. I can protect you, " he says."I wasn't planning on flying anywhere with you, " you smiled.

I’m literally obsessed w/your work it’s keeping me sane while I try not to think about what’s going to happen to Shinobu in the next movie 💔
I’d like to request just some fluff of Shinobu x a fem reader and they haven’t seen each other for a while. Shinobu is busy being a Hashira and taking care of patients, and reader is busy being slayer taking on mission after mission. Finally, the reader makes it home to the butterfly mansion when it’s already well past dusk, and finds Shinobu slaving away doing late night research. At first Shinobu thinks the reader is some random assistant, but then she quickly realizes it’s the reader, and so Shinobu immediately halts all of her research to dote on the reader. Eventually it leads to the reader gently/lovingly scolding Shinobu for being up late again, which eventually leads to the reader and Shinobu going to bed, and as they catch up, cuddle, and exchange kisses both reader and Shinobu fall asleep. Just very fluffy stuff :D Maybe it even rains too, or it’s cold so Shinobu and the reader have to snuggle up under the covers. All in all just comfort and fluff!
A/N: You're in luck! I actually wrote something really similar but tweaked it a bit to more fit your request. And I'm so happy that my work distracts you as much as it distracts me! Especially from what's going to happen next year LMAO yeah I did find out while writing this tho that I suck at dialogues so that's.. something... hope you enjoy!

Tumblr media
"Finally!"
You squished the demon's remaining ashes under your feet, successfully extinguishing whatever profanities it managed to scream at you. Not bothering to listen to any of them. You're just glad that after a week of overstaying yourself in this village, you've finally gotten rid of the reason you were here in the first place.
It wasn't a strong opponent by any chance but it sure was tricky and cunning. Using ways that even you, who usually just go for the head, think of your actions more deeply. After all, one mistake could lead to a terrifying massacre.
But you waved all of that away. You managed to slay the demon and save people in the process, that's important.
After a while of receiving the countless grateful thank yous, you passed everything else to the Kakushis that had recently arrived with a nod.
"Ame."
Your crow perches on your shoulder and you smile, patting her ruffled feathers as she caws loudly. "Rest! Rest! Rest!"
You chuckle, "Alright, I got it."
Your thoughts wander as you walk towards the direction your crow was guiding you. Warmth settled on your stomach when you realized the familiar pavement and purposely stationed planted flowers as well as the occasional flutter and waves of butterflies.
'Ah.' You fully relax your body, seemingly melting from the warmth on your face alone. You cannot deny that you've longed so much from your family and most of all, from your lover.
It was an unexpected development, you could admit. From close co-workers to friends and then something more. Shinobu captivated you in more ways imaginable and possible. So, imagine the loneliness that clouded you every day that you were away. Being a Hashira as well as her, duties were indeed more important. But sometimes you wish you could be selfish for once and stay one more day with her, free of any worries outside normal, mundane concerns.
Alas, duty calls and you had to be away for two whole months! Countless missions left and right, your recent being the longest you've ever had. It was exhausting and mentally taxing waking up and only having comfort from the frequently exchanged letters sent by the girls and Shinobu before you ready yourself for another night of demon hunting.
Though, you suppose none of those matters now as you stood at the sight of the Butterfly Estate with a tired smile. The sun had already retreated for the day and the bustling mansion was still up and lively, likely nursing after wounded slayers.
You didn't want to possibly distract them so you discreetly went inside and almost immediately bolted towards the work office Shinobu must be working herself on.
You weren't wrong as the clanks and light stomps become audible from behind the thin door.
You widely grinned, you didn't notify any of the girls of your arrival as even you weren't sure when you're free of the duties given towards you. So, you were giddy in your place to surprise Shinobu with your presence.
You raise your arm to knock.
-
Shinobu releases a tired exhale. After the seemingly endless hours stretching on, the beaker she held between her fingers made it entirely worth it. With this specific mixture, she should have a nicely prepared scabbard full of poisonous concoctions of wisteria enough to last a few missions.
'I shouldn't worry for a while.' Shinobu sets the glass aside but momentarily pauses when a knock becomes audible. However, before she could speak, the swish sound of the door harshly sliding enters her ears.
She inwardly sighs, "Aoi-chan, I greatly appreciate your concerns but didn't I-"
"Give the poor girl a break, won't you?"
Shinobu blinks, snapping her head behind. Gaping with widened eyes as your tired state emerged from whatever hell hole you came from.
She eventually snapped out of this quick trance, smirking as you walked closer towards her while she slightly leaned on the table behind. "Oh? Don't tell me you abandoned your missions to visit me? That's sweet but I'm afraid I have to report you to Master~!"
You chuckled, missing her soothing voice yet teasing tone. The two months away truly took so much precious things that you can't help but treasure everything you missed from Shinobu. As you got closer, you immediately pulled her in a tight hug, inhaling the wisteria scent that clung itself onto her and she giggled at your desperate hold.
Feeling you rubbing your head on her neck made Shinobu even giddier, "Now, now. Are you actually coaxing me into not snitching? How cunning of you, my dear."
Already used to this, you didn't mind her teasing behavior. You know just how you could shut Shinobu's mouth and she's well aware of your ability to do so. That in mind, you worked your magic as your hands slowly wandered around her body, while placing small light kisses on her jaw and neck below, grinning at the way she softly sighed as you did so.
Shinobu bit her lip, feeling herself immediately fluster at your touch. She cannot deny she longed so much from you. From your silent touches to the loving gazes. After all, work and research could only do so much to distract her from her aching yearning for you. She's just glad that you're finally free of your duties as much as she is currently too. Tilting her head, she hums at the way your lips last longer on her skin and your palms softly caressing her waist.
"Missed you." You grumbled, leaning away to face her before tilting your head.
"Don't you miss me, too?"
Shinobu chuckles, finding your pleading eyes adorable as she brought a hand to rub your cheek. "Of course I did, my beloved." Her reply easily gets a shy smile from you.
"Good," You sigh, pressing closer towards her again. "..because I missed you so much I could just die."
The Hashira pats your head, loving the way you leaned most of your weight onto her, "Hmmm.. so dramatic."
You completely ignored her words, rather continuing on complaining about your previous missions, grumbling and groaning as if Shinobu was giving attention to everything other than the way you twirled her hair around your finger or the way you lock your jaw the moment you recall something entirely embarrassing or annoying. She could just stare all day and not get tired of doing so.
"..'nobu, Shinobu.. are you listening to me?" She hums, licking her lips and bringing her eyes back and up to your own with a sly grin.
"Something about demons, yes?"
Yep, she wasn't listening. You shook your head. "Well, that's all from me, how about you? I trust that you've been taking care of yourself?"
Shinobu visibly beamed, "Of course, I have-!"
"Don't even lie."
You immediately deadpanned. "You have a futon in here, which you only bring out if you spent a few nights here again. And don't think I didn't notice your cold and untouched dinner set aside either."
Her smile tensed, her head tilting as her purple eyes seemed to glint with a single brow raised. "Well, what's the point of asking something you're already aware of?"
You roll your eyes, "I wanted to test you," You shrug, leaning away from her touch. "I guess you failed."
Shinobu didn't even let a single second pass without her arms tangled around your neck as she immediately pulled you in, her smirk widening.
"Don't think I would let you escape that fast~"
You giggle, easily balancing the two of you as you give her a short kiss. "I'd be saddened if you did." You give her hips a small squeeze, "After all, I wouldn't dream of letting you go."
She huffs in amusement, "My, what a sweet talker you are."
"Says you."
Shinobu laughs, slowly pushing you towards the conventionally placed futon on the side. The two of you immediately cling onto each other, with you burying your head on Shinobu's neck while she lovingly caress your hair, the warm blanket sat above you two.
Pure small moments like these, seemingly ordinary yet profoundly precious, are what Shinobu cherishes the most. Nothing else but love and care radiating from the two of you. How she wishes time could stop and stretch on endlessly just for the two of you to spend time together.
You soon break the long and comfortable silence. "Take care of yourself, will you? Not just for me but for the girls as well."
You take a small peek at her, pouting at the way Shinobu simply smirks with her eyes closed, your words seemingly entering and leaving one ear to another.
"I mean it, Shinobu. Don't push yourself too hard, you deserve a break too."
She sharply exhaled yet the smile plastered on her lips softened hearing your words and you snicker seeing it. You know she secretly likes being taken care well. Although, you doubt she'll agree hearing it.
You return to your supposed location, deep down her nape once again with a satisfied smile. The warmth in your stomach increasingly grows, content being beside your lover like this.
"I love you."
Shinobu feels the heat creep up her face and ears, her heart tug felt painful yet she loved every single beat of it because she knows it's all because of you. You always make her feel like she's floating, always without a single fail. And at that moment, she feels all the strain for the past weeks leave her body as her comfort fully and rightfully embraced her.
Words could never capture the actuality of her feelings and yet it easily left her mouth anyways.
"I love you too."
As she always had and always will.
Tumblr media

Hello! It’s me! And I’m back on my crossover bs again
A few years ago I had an idea for a Kirby demon slayer crossover but at the time my ideas for Meta Knight weren’t fully fleshed out. You can read some more of my ideas in the read more!
So originally my idea was that Kirby was an extremely talented young urchin that Meta Knight picked up in a town or a forest somewhere. Meta is the last remaining member of the Star Estate, a group of talents swordsman in the Corps that was nearly completely wiped out within the last century. Meta Knight, finding Kirby, saw not only extreme power and raw potential, but also a way to revive the Star Estate through a young talent that may grow up to be even stronger than him.
This inevitably happens, but happens much sooner than Meta expects, when Kirby is only 10 years old. Kirby learns the Breathing Style of the stars that Meta teaches him, but also has a terrifying talent for mimicry, and is able to temporarily copy any Breathing Style that he witnesses. Having surpassed Meta Knight in power and rank, Kirby takes Meta Knight’s official seat among the Hashira. That said, Kirby doesn’t have much of a mind for the more tactical and official side of the Corps’s duties, so Meta tends to take over for him during meetings.
Reactions to Kirby’s presence are mixed. Many of the Hashira bear some amount ill will against Meta, believing that Meta took in a child and trained him just to revive the seat of the Stars. They dislike that a child is fighting their battles for them, but have to begrudgingly acknowledge Kirby’s sheer strength. This results in a lot of people being rather surprised at just how tenderly Meta Knight treats his little ward, buying him little gifts and souvenirs wherever they go and making sure that he is healthy and safe.
Similarly to Urokodaki, Meta wears a mask to conceal his face, since he has been told that his face is too kind or too soft for his profession. He has offered to make Kirby one as well, but a mask would not do much to hide Kirby’s height and age anyways. Meta also carries two swords but only uses one— the second one is one of Kirby’s spares, just in case Kirby accidentally forgets or loses his own. (This happened about three times before Meta Knight started carrying the spare around.)
In this au, Dedede is a prefectural governor who continued ruling over his land after the daimyo-ruled han were abolished for prefectures. He comes from a long line of aristocracy, and is aware of demons wandering around at night but doesn’t get involved much with the demon slaying side of things. Meta is an old friend of his, and keeps him updated on recent local happenings with the demons.
Here are the two of them separately!

-ˋˏ ༻motherly love༺ ˎˊ-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
||synopsis: they like you because of how motherly you treat them, but despite them having a crush you might only like them platonically♡
||a/n: originally requested by anon but I accidentally deleted the request. (Again, I still might be slow on requests, I apologize in advance) - (In this the reader is a hashira and Tanjiros sibling!)
||characters: Zenitsu, Inosuke, Kanao, Genya, Muichiro
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“It’s not fashionable to love me.” -Lana Del Rey
˚ʚagatsuma zenitsuɞ˚
♡Zenitsu had never actually met you until he landed in the butterfly mansion after the incident on the infinity train.
♡Tanjiro talked about you a lot. Considering you were a Hashira you were always busy with duties and you never had the chance to talk visit Tanjiro and meet his friends.
♡However after you had gotten the news of the flame pillars death after an encounter with upper moon two, you immediately rushed to the butterfly estate to make sure Tanjiro was okay. That was the first time you had actually met his friends.
♡The moment you made sure Tanjiro was okay, you took the time to meet his friends.
♡Right after Zenitsu met you, he immediately asked you to marry him. Before you could even politely decline, Tanjiro smacked him on the back of his head.
♡It didn’t take very long until you realized Zenitsu’s scared personality. He would practically scream at everything.
♡Any time you got the chance, you would visit the butterfly estate to help him train.
♡You felt bad at how he was terrified of being a demon slayer. So you offered to help him. You began training him and attempting to get rid of his fears.
♡Any time Zenitsu got scared, which happened a lot, he’d cling to your side while you pat his head reassuring him he was okay.
♡The food you make for him is also something that makes him feel better after getting scared. If your head pat’s don’t help him, your food will. But he’ll definitely have tears in his eyes while eating.
♡Being with Zenitsu is much like being stuck with a scared little kid that’s by your side 24/7.
♡He gets attached to you very quickly. With the way you treat him so kindly, he can’t not be by your side.
♡So whenever he has a mission without you, he’s gripping onto your haori while the people he’s going on the mission with try to pry him off of you while yelling apologies.
♡He overall loves how you treat him. So gentle and nice.
˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚
˚ʚhashibira inosukeɞ˚
♡He doesn’t care much about you being a hashira. Let alone Tanjiros sibling. The moment he see’s you he’s trying to fight you without a second thought.
♡At first, he doesn’t even know you’re Tanjiro’s sibling. While Tanjiro does talk about you a lot, he’s never explained how you look.
♡Inosuke found you sitting at the engawa of the butterfly estate eating an onigiri while minding your own business. The moment he see’s you he takes out his swords, yelling at you to fight him.
♡Kiyo, Sumi, and Naho, who all saw Inosuke trying to fight you, immediately grabbed onto his legs while yelling at him to stop. They knew you were fully capable of beating him as a hashira. That’s why they were trying to get him away. So his injuries wouldn’t possibly end up worse.
♡With all the commotion, Zenitsu heard and walked over in confusion. Then Tanjiro followed. Only to see Inosuke trying to fight you.
♡That’s when inosuke found out that you were Tanjiros sibling. And a hashira at that.
♡The moment you actually first got along with Inosuke was when you were helping Aoi in the kitchen. Aoi had to leave to finish the laundry and that’s when Inosuke ran in.
♡As always he had demanded you to fight him. Every time you ignored his offer. So this time you did as well.
♡”You want some takoyaki?” You asked, completely ignoring his request. It took him a while to process what you said. Especially since he’d already eaten and he wasn’t allowed to have seconds.
♡Eventually Inosuke got used to you giving him food. Even when he was no longer at the butterfly estate.
♡He’s not really used to kindness or affection. Tanjiro had been enough with how nice he treated everyone. But the moment he met you it was different. You had obviously favored him.
♡You were also used to being overly affectionate unlike him. Having so many siblings and being the oldest next to tanjiro made you show affection to others.
♡With all the attention you gave him it didn’t take long until he fell for you. It came to the point you were the only person that was able to calm him down whenever he acted rashly.
♡Many people are shocked when it comes to your interactions with him. Inosuke cares deeply about you but refuses to show it.
♡Even with his efforts to keep it a secret, his crush on you remains obvious to you
˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚
˚ʚtsuyuri kanaoɞ˚
♡Kanao met you through shinobu after she  decided to visit your estate and bring Kanao with her.
♡You were only a year older than Kanao and considering your kind personality, shinobu had assumed the two of you could become good friends.
♡The moment Kanao met you, she fell for you and she fell hard. She’s not used to being cared for which is the main reason she loves you so much.
♡She doesn’t know much about love but the way you treat her made her admire you.
♡Kanao loves to spend time with you and is always visiting your estate once she’s done with her job at the butterfly mansion.
♡She eventually learns how to talk to you without using her coin with easily helps her open up to you. It takes a while but she soon learns how to talk to you without a problem.
♡Kanao adores the way you care for her. Your hugs and company sooth her and make her feel nice.
♡She doesn’t know how to handle the care of someone else so she does get flustered easily.
♡After you had learned about her past, you treated her with more kindness and of course she felt herself falling more in love with you.
♡Kanao often gets more clingy as your bond with her grows. She gets awkward when it comes to giving you hugs back so instead she’s always following you like a lost puppy.
˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚
˚ʚshinazugawa genyaɞ˚
♡Genya doesn’t exactly know how to act around someone that cares for him so much. He’s not used to affection.
♡The moment you expressed the smallest bit of kindness to Genya, he immediately took a liking towards you.
♡He didn’t understand why he felt comfortable around you more than most people.
♡But you had treated him with nothing but kindness and it made him appreciate you.
♡Genya also noticed the way you tried your best to protect him.
♡The main reason you had always treated him nicely had been because you saw the way Sanemi treated him. In a way you knew the wind pillar did care deeply about his brother but didn’t know how to express it. So you decided to help.
♡You didn’t exactly expect him to grow a crush on you.
♡Genya also admires you a lot considering your a strong hashira. But that also gives him another reason to get easily awkward in a way.
˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚ ❀ ˚
˚ʚtokito muichiroɞ˚
♡He didn’t pay much attention to you until you went on a mission with him. The way you had treated him in the short amount of time you were with him made him cling to you.
♡You often helped him when it came to his memory problems. You wrote him small notes in a notebook to help him remember some things.
♡Muichiro deeply appreciates your kindness to him, even though it takes a while for him to get used to.
♡He’s not used to someone being by his side and treating him so motherly, he begins getting really cling.
♡Next thing you know he’s the one following you everywhere you go and not leaving your side.
♡He gets jealous easily and doesn’t like when others steal your attention, (which happens a lot).
♡Muichiro’s also always reminding you that your kindness can be seen as a weakness when in reality, he never wants your nice personality to leave.

How does main trio view Douma and via verse. Especially Inosuke.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zenitsu is terrified of him. His heart sounds off and his voice is too perfect and he almost killed his friend. Now he's just hanging around a hashira??? What the heck is wrong with everyone??? Why aren't they doing anything???
Tanjiro does not like him because after Gyokko and Hantengu died, Douma had tried to finish the mission himself which meant he ended up fighting him, Genya and Nezuko (and leaving Muichiro to die to Gyokko's poison). The only reason they survived was because Douma found them interesting and dragged the fight out until Mitsuri arrived and they fought instead. Tanjiro would very much like to headbutt Douma a few times before he considers them even. He still has reservations about having Douma anywhere near humans.
Inosuke recognizes him as a strong person to fight - but Douma is uninterested in fighting him. He also doesn't like him for the state he left Tanjiro and the others in. Doesn't see a point to him being there and when he remembers his existence he thinks they should kill him. He's super annoying and makes his fur stand on end when he catches him staring at him sometimes.
Douma wants to poke at Zenitsu because he's so scared of him. He just wants to be friends and Zenitsu's reactions to him are what he thinks most people would find hilarious.
Douma is interested in Tanjiro because Muzan was interested in him. Other than that, he finds him unremarkable. If Tanjiro asked, he would let him headbutt him. For now he just dodges cause he's not sure why Tanjiro does it.
Douma doesn't recognize Inosuke at first and when he does, he remembers Kotoha. He remains interested in Inosuke and how different he is from his mother. Inosuke's desire to fight him kinda drives him off though since he promised Mitsuri he wouldn't get into any scuffles. This also means he doesn't tell anyone he killed his mom - that would definitely cause a scuffle.
You didn't ask but since he did meet them...
Douma thinks Genya is super cool! He's never seen his ability before. He's offered Genya a bite of himself but Genya always yells at him to leave him alone. The big stupid rock man also drives him off a lot. So rude.
Nezuko is also very interesting to him! She's pretty strong for never eating a human. Maybe he can get some tips from her? It'd make being friends with Mitsuri way easier. If only she'd stop growling at him.
He's very surprised Muichiro survived being poisoned. He's also impressed with how strong he is for his age. So sad that being a demon slayer means he's probably gonna die young. Boy does he have a mouth on him though.

Can you do headcannons for Zenitsu, Sanemi, Tanjiro, and Shinobu (if you can) with a gender neutral s/o who really likes bugs? Like when they catch one they run up to them to show them the bug?
s/o who likes bugs
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anime/fandom: Demon Slayer
Characters: Zenitsu Agatsuma, Sanemi Shinazugawa, Tanjiro Kamado, Shinobu Kocho
Warnings: I don’t proofread
A/n: yum
Demon Slayer masterlist | Main masterlist
Tumblr media
Zenitsu Agatsuma
He’s terrified of bugs, and will scream at any bug he sees— no matter how small it is
And finding out that you, his precious, sweet, amazing s/o likes bugs, he can feel his souls leave his body knowing that he’s going to have to be around bugs for the rest of his life now
“Aww, look Zenitsu! Look at how cute it is!” You exclaim while crouching on the ground to hold up a little bug in your hand, and show Zenitsu who’s next to you. Zenitsu wants to pass out at the sight, backs away and screams “It’s anything but cute!”
If you happen to have a bug collection or have a few pet bugs, then he’ll try to learn to be less scared of them but he can’t stop trembling every time you show him a bug. You might just accidentally kill him early
Tumblr media
Sanemi Shinazugawa
Is a bug lover just like you, he does have a pet beetle after all— a Japanese rhinoceros beetle to be specific! He think bugs like beetles that have a tough exterior are the toughest
He has no problem with you liking bugs and if you collect them then it’s even better. He knows not everyone likes bugs and are afraid of them so it makes him happy knowing you like his pet beetle and taking care of it with such care
“But… I’m sure it would love it though!” You whined as you showed him that you bought a few items for his beetles home. “It’s just a beetle!” He yells but it makes him happy knowing you care so much
Having a picnic with Sanemi that’s also a bug date is a must! He loves it when you show each other a cool bug that you both found, and he will definitely boast how that he finds are much cooler looking than yours
Tumblr media
Tanjiro Kamado
Thinks it’s very cute how you like bugs so much. He’s not scared of bugs at all and will not scream or run away if you walk over with one in hand unlike a specific yellow haired boy
Will gladly encourage your hobby/interest and will even help you with taking care of them—even if he doesn’t exactly know how but he’s definitely down with it if you teach him how and even tell him facts about each and different types of bugs
“Hmm, this one looks slightly different than the rest.” You mumbled in thought as you stared at new bug you caught “You’re right! One antennas bigger than the other! “ Tanjiro said pointing at the smaller antenna in awe
Tanjiro would happily help build enclosures if you wanted. He thinks many of the bugs are very unique and with the many facts you tell him, he’ll sometimes blurt it out when he’s around Zenitsu and Inosuke which sometimes makes Zenitsu nervous to be around you
Tumblr media
Shinobu Kocho
Has no problem with you liking bugs! She is the the insect hashira after all and it just wouldn’t her suit her if she wasn’t okay with them, I mean butterfly’s are practically her signature thing
Thinks you’re the cutest thing ever when you’re babbling about bugs. Even though she’s okay with bugs, it doesn’t mean she doesn’t still find some gross, some are just too ugly to look at compared to others
“What about this one instead? This one’s much prettier!” She said and pointed at the beautiful purple butterfly, trying to convince you to catch that one instead of the ugly one that you wanted
If you ever find one that’s been hurt or has a parasite stuck to it, she’ll happily take care of it and remove it for you.

Summary-You get isekai but you miss your old life
Genre- Angst/ very little fluff
Warnings- Racism// Overthinking // Mentions of death and blood
It happened all to soon.
It was just another typical evening, filled with the monotony of everyday tasks. You had just finished washing the dishes, the warm soapy water still clinging to your hands as you wiped them dry on a kitchen towel. The humdrum of life had become a comforting rhythm: work, home, chores, eat, sleep, repeat.
There was solace in the predictability, a sense of security in the familiar.
You settled into the worn-out couch, a cup of tea in hand and your favourite show up on the television. Outside, the city buzzed with its usual night-time symphony – car horns, distant sirens, the occasional bark of a dog. Your phone buzzed with a notification, a reminder of an upcoming meeting. You sighed, mentally preparing.
Without warning, a wave of dizziness washed over. The room spun, and you clutched the edge of the couch, heart racing. You tried to steady yourself, but your vision blurred, and your body felt unnaturally heavy. Panic set in as you realized you was losing consciousness. The cup slipped from your fingers, shattering on the floor as everything went dark.
When you awoke, the world was different. Instead of the familiar comfort of your living room, you found yourself lying on a futon in a brightly lit room. The walls were adorned with delicate paintings of butterflies, and the air was filled with the soothing scent of medicinal herbs. Your head pounded as you tried to sit up, only to be gently pushed back down by a soft yet firm hand.
"Easy now," a gentle voice said. You looked up to see a woman with dark hair tied back in a butterfly-shaped hairpin. She wore a haori decorated with a butterfly motif and had a serene, almost amused expression on her face. It was Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps.
You're awake," she said, her smile widening slightly. "That's good. You had us worried for a moment."
You blinked, trying to process the impossible. "Where am I?" I croaked, my throat dry and scratchy.
"You're at the Butterfly Mansion," Shinobu explained. "A safe place where we tend to the wounded and train new Demon Slayers."
You struggled to sit up again, this time with her assistance. As you looked around, you noticed a few other familiar faces – Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Aoi, all watching with a mix of curiosity and concern.
Shinobu's eyes twinkled with curiosity as she took in your appearance. "You certainly have an unusual look," she commented. "Your clothing is unlike anything I've seen and you look foreign. Are you from the West?"
I hesitated, my mind racing. "Yes, but, I'm... I'm also from the future," You admitted, voice barely above a whisper.
Shinobu raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "The future, you say? How interesting. Tell me, do you know how all of this will end?"
Your heart skipped a beat. Of course, you knew the general outline of the story, but revealing too much could change everything. Moreover, the thought of being thrust into battles with demons terrified you. you are weak, untrained, and utterly unprepared for this brutal world.
"I... I can't say," You stammered. "If I tell you everything, it might change things in ways we can't predict. And I'm not a fighter. I'm scared."
Shinobu's expression softened, and she placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder. "It's alright. Fear is natural, especially in a world as dangerous as this one. But you don't have to face it alone. We will help you find your place here, whether it's fighting or something else."
Her words were comforting, yet the weight of the situation pressed heavily on your shoulders. You are an ordinary person thrust into an extraordinary world, and the path ahead is full off danger.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Despite the kindness of some, not everyone in this world was as welcoming. As days turned into weeks, You began to notice the stares and whispers behind your back. Your Western appearance and strange mannerisms made an easy target.
One afternoon, as you walked through a nearby village with Tanjiro and Zenitsu, You felt the weight of countless eyes on you. The villagers, their faces a mixture of fear and curiosity, muttered among themselves.
"Who is she? Why does she look like that?"
"She doesn't belong here. She's different."
Zenitsu and Tanjiro heard everything.
Their words stung, each one a dagger to your already fragile sense of belonging. You tried to ignore them, focusing on the path ahead, but it was impossible to shut out their disdain.
In the market, a vendor outright refused to sell you anything. "We don't serve your kind here," he spat, his eyes cold and unyielding.
Tanjiro stepped in, his voice firm yet polite. "She's with us, and she's a friend. Please treat her with respect."
The vendor grumbled but eventually relented, though the hostility in his gaze never wavered. You clutched the small pouch of goods Tanjiro had purchased for you, hands trembling with a mix of anger and shame.
Later that night, back at the Butterfly Mansion, you found yourself sitting alone in the garden, tears streaming down your face. The beauty of the blooming flowers and the gentle glow of the lanterns did little to soothe the ache in your heart.
Mitsuri found you there, her presence as calming as always. "I heard what happened in the village," she said softly, sitting beside you. "I'm sorry you had to experience that."
"It's not your fault," You replied, wiping away the tears. "I just... I never expected to feel so out of place. I thought I could adapt, but..."
Mitsuri placed a comforting hand on yours. "Change takes time, and prejudice is a difficult beast to tame. But remember, you have friends here who care about you. You're not alone. I also know how you feel. I always get looks because of my hair. I even tried to dye it black so I could fit in. I was told no one would love me, no one would want kids with me, but that means they don't deserve me! "
Her words were a small comfort, but the pain of feeling like a perpetual outsider lingered. Despite the kindness of those around, the sting of rejection and the weight of your fears made you feel defeated. Every night, you longed for the comfort of your old life, for the familiar faces and routines that had once seemed so mundane.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
A few days had passed, and you had seen more fighting than you ever thought possible. The bravery of the Demon Slayers was awe-inspiring, but it was also a stark reminder of the perilous world you now inhabited. Each night, the memories of battles and the cries of demons haunted your dreams, making sleep an elusive comfort. Watching it in 'real life' was so different from watching just an animation.
Tonight was no different. You lay in your futon, staring at the ceiling, unable to silence the turmoil in your mind. The faces of new friends flashed before me – Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Nezuko, Shinobu, Rengoku, basically everyone.
They had become dear to you, yet the longing for your old life gnawed at your heart.
Unable to bear the restlessness any longer, you slipped out of bed and quietly made your way outside. The night was cool, the air filled with a soft hum and the gentle rustling of leaves. You walked aimlessly, seeking solace in the tranquillity of the night, yet finding none.
As you wandered, thoughts drifted to all the people you had met. Tengen Uzui had been particularly kind, taking the time to help me improve my Japanese. The other Hahira's, each with their unique personalities and strengths, had welcomed you despite my strangeness and foreignness. Even Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the master of the Demon Slayer Corps, had shown me kindness and understanding.
A tear slipped down your cheek, followed by another. The weight of your reality was crushing. You had made friends here, but this world was not yours. You missed your family, home, the safety of ordinary life. You felt like an outsider, an imposter in a story that wasn’t yours to live.
"Hey," a gentle voice broke through my sorrow. You turned to see Tanjiro and Rengoku standing a few feet away, concern etched on their faces.
"What's wrong?" Tanjiro asked softly, his eyes filled with empathy.
You tried to speak, but the words caught in your throat. The dam of emotions you had been holding back burst forth, and you began to sob uncontrollably. "I don't belong in this world," You cried, my voice trembling with the weight of my despair. "I'm scared, and I miss my home. I don't know how to fight, and I'm so afraid."
Rengoku stepped forward, his usually fiery demeanour tempered with a surprising gentleness. "It's alright to feel that way," he said, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder. "You've been thrown into a difficult situation, but you're not alone. We're here with you."
Tanjiro nodded, his expression earnest. "You don't have to fight if you don't want to. There are many ways to help and support us. We'll find a place for you here."
Yet, no matter how much you wished to return home, you was stuck here. The reality of the situation was unyielding, a constant reminder that you was trapped in a world where you didn’t belong. The battles, the bloodshed, the ever-present danger – it was all too much.
You wlaked back to your room after your conversation.
As you lay down, staring at the ceiling, a deep sense of hopelessness washed over you. You missed your family and friends, hell you had your whole life planned. Do they miss you? Are you in the news? Has anyone even noticed?. The fear of what lay ahead in this brutal world paralyzed you. Despite the friends you had made, the sense of community you was slowly beginning to feel, you couldn't shake the feeling of being an imposter in someone else's story.
"I don't belong here," You whispered to the darkness, your heart aching with a longing that seemed impossible to fulfill. "I just want to go home."
But home was a world away, a distant memory you could no longer reach. And as you closed your eyes, the weight of a new reality pressed down on you, a constant reminder that no matter how much you wished for it, You was stuck in this world, struggling to find a place in a story that was never meant to be yours.

I’m miserable at the knowledge that Gotoge contrasted everything about Zenitsu and Tengen on the surface — the loser crybaby demon slayer with seven ex girlfriends vs. the flashy Hashira with three loving wives — before connecting them with their breathing and their music and their hearing, only to do basically nothing with it. Are you kidding me? Could you imagine a world where Zenitsu and Tengen actually get to talk?
Because Tengen loves his wives and his friends, but they physically cannot understand what it’s like for him to step into a quiet room and still be able to hear every secret around him. To be seen as a sneak or a spy even more than he already is for his shinobi heritage, for a biological factor he can’t control no matter how hard he tries. Or to find music in the sound of the crowd’s blood, heartbeats, and very souls while being unable to share it with anyone unless he transcribes it.
Zenitsu embodies it.
He is absolutely terrified of it, hearing danger that nobody else can sense until minutes after he’s already become aware and forced to contend with the knowledge that he will also be the first to know when someone has died. How many times did he hear a heart stop beating when he was out on the streets as a child? How many times did he hear his allies’ bones and organs break or rupture in their bodies on a mission? How many times has he heard his own? It’s futile to count, but both he and Tengen know what it’s like to be that person.
And I can’t help but think that Tengen would be excited about their connection in a way that Zenitsu can’t be — he’s older, more experienced, and more confident in himself. There’s no doubt that he stopped thinking of his hearing as just a curse a long time ago, and he probably found a way to have fun with it in his music. But that also means that he’s been searching for someone who would know what he was talking about for even longer than Zenitsu. He’d jump at the opportunity the second it arose, because Zenitsu might want to run and Zenitsu might not be willing to hear what connects them… but Tengen can. And he’s not about to let that go over some petty whining.
So he decides to make the boy his student (maybe even his Tsugoku) and begins training him on everything he’s learned about his own hearing over the years. It’s like every step they take forward in building a proper teacher-student relationship is immediately offset by another five steps back. Zenitsu rejects the connection entirely because, at his core, he can’t imagine himself being comparing to Tengen — to the physical embodiment of everything he wants to be and doesn’t think that he can’t. So he shoves more broken chords into their shared symphony than actually fit and his anxiety becomes a constant shadow on the harmony of their song.
It grows distorted from both his intentional and unintentional self-destruction just as much as it does from Tengen’s own frustration. It gets worse and worse and worse, until there’s nowhere for it go anymore; until Tengen unintentionally insults Jigoro for being irresponsible and letting Zenitsu go to Final Selection with only one technique.
It will be the first and one of the only times that he gets to see become Zenitsu genuinely furious.
Because Zenitsu’s relationship with Tengen here is in the same vein as his relationship to Kaigaku in canon — he hates and respects and fears the sound hashira in equal measure. And it’s that last thing that really matters, because Zenitsu’s rage blinds him to the feeling of fear where it becomes all that Tengen can hear in his sound. The image of himself as a child reflected in a little blond boy who didn’t want to train with him (with his father) but did it anyway. Tengen’s wives have to separate them soon enough, and everyone decides that trying again isn’t a good idea.
So they take a break. A long one. Long enough that Zenitsu assumes that his apprenticeship is finally over and he can go back to whoever he was before this mess. He’s wrong, of course, because Tengen knocks on his door the very next day and they go all the way back to the Uzui Estate to try something new. They go to Tengen’s music room, filled to the brim with instruments more expensive than Zenitsu has ever seen, let alone gotten to touch, and they spend the night playing whatever they feel like. Because they’d always known each other by their sounds better than they had their words, and trying to force the latter was their first mistake. They knew better, now.
Music night becomes their ritual. After training, they air out their frustrations with song after song in a conversation only they’ll ever understand. Not a thing spoken. And, eventually, they won’t have to speak at all. Zenitsu once explained that when he tried hard enough, he could hear people’s thoughts instead of just their feelings.
What would it be like for him to not have to try at all with Tengen?
(What would it be like for him to have a mentor in the only other person who would understand?)

How about a Muzan Kibutsuji x Modern! Red! Reader? She came around during the Asakusa arc by accident while being followed face card guards while causing trouble turning the guards of Asakusa's attention away from Tanjiro, Muzan and his fake family, and on Tamayo and Yushiro to her. Maybe with her spray painting some walls making graffiti. Muzan stumbled upon on one of her graffiti which says “Off with your heads” and of course “Red” in the center of a heart. Yes, she's the daughter of the Queen of Hearts.
I based it on this: https://youtu.be/eETTUSjfp3w?si=f-eM9kv718rxDtBQ
(I hope you don’t mind but I took some creative liberties when writing this.)
Muzan x Reader: Demon of Hearts ❤️
Tumblr media
You were originally a serial killer, you were famous for cutting off people’s heads and painting hearts at the scene with blood
You had traveled around Japan, killing people and leaving cryptic messages like ‘off with their heads’ ‘paint it red’ etc
Muzan had grown interested in this killer, seeing as he suspected that it wasn’t a demon since there were no signs of predation on the corpses
It was late one night in Asakusa when someone screamed, alerting Muzan and his ‘family’
Someone had found your latest kill and saw a person flee from the scene
Muzan took the opportunity to lead his ‘family’ to safety and told them to stay put, that he was going to see what was happening and if he could help
Muzan summoned two of his demons to track you down and bring you to him unharmed
He wanted to offer you the chance to become a demon
When his subordinates brought you to him, you immediate attacked him, trying to cut his head off with a knife
Your skills were impressive but this is the demon king. He wiped the floor with you
After he subdued you, he offered you his blood and gave you the choice of becoming a demon, or rotting away in a cell for the rest of your life. Since he planned to call the authorities on you
Seeing no other option, you agreed to become a demon, and took his blood
The transformation was painful, your hair turned blood red, as did your eyes, your skin became pale, your nails became sharp and had reddish black tips, and you grew fangs
After your transformation, Muzan left you to your own devices but told you not to mess with his ‘family’
You went back to killing, but instead, you left behind only the heads and ate the bodies, still leaving behind your cryptic messages
Your blood demon art allows you to inject a poison like substance into people and turn them into your willing slaves
These people would do whatever you asked and you started using them as your guards
You eventually built a western style mansion that was surrounded by rose bushes
You lived here and had your slaves stay here. You used this as your cover, you pretended you were a rich foreign woman
You eventually started to create a makeup company and ran it so that you had some sort of coverup
At night you would sneak out and search for homeless people and orphans, people no one would miss
You would inject them with your poison and order them to follow you back to your home where you would eat them at your leisure on occasion
You would later become a lower moon, lower 2 in fact
You were strong and had cleverly hid your demonic tendencies from the world
You even managed to kill a few Hashiras during your reign of terror
Overall you were a terrifying demon and you were strong, but you would later be killed off by the love Hashira, a fitting end to the demon of hearts

Requests open! Yay! I'd like to request a oneshot with Hantengu: reader, a human, ends up somehow protecting/saving the scared little guy (from the sun, perhaps?) and he is now Attached and kinda crushing, living in their house, and tries to make a move but is just way too scared. So he does what any good demon would do: gets bashful and rips his head off so his clones can make a move for him. Surprise now there's four guys with a Big Crush and they're not quite so cute about it anymore (not that reader complains). Hope this request finds you well and thanks for being super rad! ❤️
All For You [Hantengu X Reader]
Reader is Human Female | Romance | Part 2 HERE Final HERE
Recomended Song - Cheri Cheri Lady by Modern Talking
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In such a terrifying battle, he hadn't realised that despite killing the hashira, they had stranded him in a field with no shade and the sun was just moments away. He could run, but he didn't have much power remaining, so all he could do was try.
Even as he cried and wailed, he could hear what he could only assume was another member of the corps catching up to him, taking advantage of how little he had left in him.
If he needed to, he could surely muster just one more strike-
He could feel a burning heat on his back, causing a squeal, before it all stopped, and two arms fell in front of him, which he ran into and fell back into the grass.
Whimpering, the upper-rank shielded his face, waiting for some kind of attack, only to hear the rigorous panting of the being that had caught him.
Shakily, his hands moved from his face, gazing up to see that someone was on their elbows and knees, shielding him from the sun.
"Aren't you supposed to be hidden from the sun?" A head dipped down, looking curiously at the small being. You were just going for a stroll since you hadn't been able to sleep, and after hearing a loud commotion all you found was a weak, stranded demon.
The being shakily waited to see your movements, taking the chance to replenish itself. Hantengu had nowhere to run, unless he wanted to try digging.
"Well, I'm sure we can work this out." When your hand reached to him, he crouched and moved his hands to protect his head, which didn't stop you from hiding him in the thick cloth of your woollen cloak, which you had used to protect yourself from the cold spring air.
What was this human thinking? Hantengu pondered the implications, though realised if you were so certain about taking him in, he could always kill you when you got to shelter and he would be free once more. Besides, doing so now would be a waste with the sun around, and since the fabric surrounding him was so soft, warm, and smelt so, so enticing.
With the distraction hidden in your coat and your rushed jog back to your hidden home beyond the forest line and up a hill, you never looked back to catch a glimpse at the body left behind.
Before daring to remove him, you had shut all your blinds so little to no light peaked in, and turned on the light in your home yourself.
When he finally crawled out of your cloak of his own accord, which you had laid on the table and waited for him, his eyes scattered and landed on objects he deemed of importance.
One, a nichirin blade hung on the wall.
Two, a demon slayer corps uniform hanging beside your other garments on a rack.
And three, a portrait of a blue spider lily, one he recognized from one of Muzan's books.
Clearly, you were no normal human, you were a part of the corps. So then why weren't you dressed up and killing him? Perhaps you were going to try to reason with him, like many idiots had tried.
"Ah, you're finally awake."
Of course, he also noticed you sitting in a chair leant up against a wall, just a gust of wind away from it slipping and you falling. But you remained balanced for now.
"You don't have to worry, I won't harm you. I'm just trying to figure out why you haven't harmed me, is all!" In your hands was a cup of tea, which, when you sipped, left a line of green matcha on your lips. It disappeared when you took yet another sip, and set the cup down beside him.
"To be honest, chasing after you really exhausted me, so I think I better head to bed now. You can leave if you'd like should you find a way, but feel free to stay as long as you like."
With that, you left the cowering demon in the nest of a cloak, closing the sliding door to the other half of the cabin where your futon was. Hantengu watched as the lights in the room went out.
You awake early in the afternoon, having achieved a quarter of a day's rest.
Unfortunately serenity was not in the picture, for the moment you opened the sliding door you nearly fell back on your ass upon seeing a fully grown man sitting on one of two cushions by the low table, his hands neatly folded in his lap.
He looked to be asleep sitting, but you knew from experience that it was less akin to sleep, and more of a hibernation tactic demons had during the day.
Only now did a shiver run sharp down your spine, the intense energy surrounding the being only now just hitting you. You must have been so exhausted yesterday that none of it registered.
Limping towards your food prepping station, you picked up a wooden bucket, getting ready to retrieve water for your breakfast. Your leg was acting up again, perhaps you shouldn't have overexerted yourself hours prior.
Once you made movement towards the door, the being sat up semi-straight, red eyes glowing similar to the lanterns scattering the room. He looked to be moving away from you, but stopped when he analysed you as familiar.
You, on the other hand, nearly dropped the bucket upon reading the kanji in his eyes.
When he was small last night, you hadn't noticed. I mean, you were also tired and, god, what have you gotten yourself into?
Not even a low rank, he was upper rank four, god, your heart quickened to a point where you knew he'd notice. Sure, you were a member of the corps, but you'd been on leave for months now since you almost lost your leg, and you were still recovering!
Not only that, but you could count the number of demons you'd killed on one hand, being only a Mizunoe.
Despite these facts, he seemed to be more afraid of you than you had been of him, and you were never that good at hating demons, so you just meekly pointed to the pail.
"I'm going to fetch some water, but I'll be back soon."
Closing the door behind you, your hand met with the cloth over your heart, gripping it as if your life depended on it, trying to slow your heart rate and push forwards.
'What the fuck, what the hell do I even do?' With every heavy step, a lighter one followed as you tried not to put too much pressure on it, approaching the water pump and putting your bucket under it.
Sucking in a breath, you grabbed onto the lever and pushed down, letting it slowly inch up before repeating the process, letting the sputtering first gushes of muddy water spray out until a steady stream formed, which you kicked the bucket under to collect.
Your crow wouldn't be back for a week since it was retrieving medicine, if you could stall and keep him trapped here then maybe your crow could eventually get help! But you'd have to make it for, at the very least, a week.
Removing your calloused hands from the pump handle, you picked up the bucket with far more care than before, assuring yourself you wouldn't spill.
You'd just have to do it, because there was no fighting in your condition, and if he was that much of a threat he surely would have lunged at you while you slept, right?
"So, what's your name?" Your hearth had a burning fire below it, water boiling away as you added sugar and rice, covering it entirely and setting the pot aside so it could cook. The entire time, his eyes had been trained on you, flinching at every loud sound such as a ladle hitting the cast iron of your pot.
"M...me?" His voice broke as he spoke, though when you nodded he cleared it, "Hantengu."
"Han-teng-ou...!" You played the syllables out, as if testing how the name would taste, before pointing to yourself.
"Well, I'm y/n, but you can call me anything you want really. I have a feeling you won't be leaving anytime soon, so try to keep it non demeaning." You joked, though he seemed to take it seriously, nodding vigorously.
When your rice pudding was complete, you scooped a ball of it into a separate spoon, offering it to the demon. You knew they didn't eat human food often, but you figured you should act as clueless as you could.
Much to your surprise, Hantengu ate it, though you could tell he didn't like it by how harshly he swallowed. You giggled, taking the kindness of the demon into consideration, he must have done it not to hurt your feelings, which was relatively cute!
Even as the sun dipped below the horizon, Hantengu never left, instead enjoying your company, and as nights came and went, you found that every morning he'd be there, already preparing the hearth or with water ready for you. You'd become so used to the schedule, you never noticed that your crow hadn't returned, only interested in getting along with the demon.
On one summer evening, as the leaves had fully grown on the trees and the summer heat began to settle in, you'd been cleaning up the home while Hantengu came back in with firewood, stretching his legs now that the sun had gone down.
All the windows were wide, allowing any breeze in to help with the head, and you fanned yourself off with your hand.
"I'm really glad I picked you up, I never realised how lonely it was out here." You spoke up the moment he entered as if it had been on your mind for some time.
Hantengu always listened closely, having long forgotten his plan of ever so much as laying a scratch on you. You'd been nothing but kind to him, and had always treated him better than anyone he had met in his life. It would suffice to say the demon adored you, but he would never say it.
Your words stunned him entirely, which made him gaze down at the floor, hiding the expression of endearment on his face.
"I built this place far from any villages with the help of a few other corps members, but after that I never saw them again. I just didn't want to be anywhere demons would be, because if I was home I wanted to feel safe. But it's pure solitude. You've made it so much better."
Your head had begun to droop, moments from leaning on his shoulder, before the demon squealed and tumbled to the other side of the room, panting. You had become fully alert now, holding your hands out in a panic.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to startle you--!"
Despite your apologies, the being shook, seemingly muttering to himself with both hands clawing at his heads, before in one swift motion he tore his head from his body, blood splashing along the walls and quickly disintegrating.
Mouth agape, you stared in horror as a transformation began, carefully inching towards the blade on your wall. The head rolled on the floor, before regenerating a new body that resembled a much younger demon, entirely shirtless. He caught himself easily, and sprung up on his feet in mere seconds.
The body, on the other hand, changed heavily in appearance until a head popped from the torso, similar red eyes glowing, though they were a more saturated cherry red compared to the Hantengu you knew.
"Ahah! Finally~ A vessel of my own..." Snapping your head back to the other, he was now crouched down, green eyes staring at you with a shimmer of interest.
Despite this, the other one walked behind his duplicate, barely giving you enough time to react to the fact that your companion was entirely renewed, and tore his head off once more, much to the dissatisfaction of the green eyed being, which the green eyed one reacted by ripping the others arm off.
They replenished themselves in seconds, though the two loose limbs quickly multiplied once more, introducing a sulking blue eyed demon, and what looked like a man-bird-thing.
"It never gets any easier..." A soft voice came from the blue eyed individual, of which you caught a kanji on his tongue which read 'sorrow'.
Shivering in the corner, the four seemed to bicker with each other for what you wished was much longer, before their full attention was on your cowering form in the corner.
Oh, how ironic it was, you and Hantengu had entirely switched places, if you could call these beings such a title.
You just hoped they liked you as much as he had.
"Don't you have better things to do than stare?" The red-eyed one hissed, though with malice or anticipation you couldn't entirely pick out. Despite his near-hostility, the showy one crawled forwards, reaching out a clawed hand to hold your chin, pushing it up to meet his eyes.
'Uppermoon Four' It was the same as Hantengu, but they acted so differently, or perhaps to his extremes?
While you were lost in your thoughts, the demon hissed a laugh, enjoying the empty look beyond your curious eyes that scanned him over.
"Before you call me anything I'm not, how about we start with Karaku, unless you prefer 'man of your dreams' better?" The tips of his nails pushed into your skin, but not nearly close enough to damage you. Oh no, he wouldn't dare do such a thing to his doll.
Karaku was promptly pulled back by the claws of a bird foot, which led to the tumbling forward of a very, very strange being, whose wings quickly blocked your view of all others and forced your eyes to gaze into his yellow ones, though he only grinned.
"Look what you've done, making big bad demons go falling for your stupidity, you're lucky you're so damned pretty!" Once he got his word in, he backed off as the other called him by his name strictly, allowing the two remainders to stand before you, gazing down.
You caught the name Urogi, and hoped you caught right, being hoisted to your feet by the hands of a very rough being, the one most similar to Hantengu, though the blue-eyed one placed his hand on your back, keeping you from moving back and providing little comfort.
"You poor thing, you must have no idea what’s going on..." Pity seeped from the sorrow demon, though he muttered his name to you shortly after.
'Aizetsu.' You repeat to yourself mentally, almost leaning into his hand, which moved slowly up and down as if he was giving a futile attempt at comforting you. The one holding your wrist in a vice-like grip only grumbled, seemingly irritated at nothing.
"Sekido."
"S...sekido...?" He only huffed in annoyance at your confirmation, as if it was stupid that you'd even thought of his name in the first place. You hadn't noticed how badly you were shaking until the tremors of the table met your ears, and your heart was skipping beats left and right.
"I- I don't," your voice paused, daring to reach forward, cupping Sekido's cheek, "aren't you?"
The loss of words seemed to amuse Karaku and Urogi, who erupted in giggles and grinned respectively. You were adorable, all your confidence sapped as if anything had changed.
"Yes, and no~" Urogi piped up, tilting his head to get a better look at you from where he was sitting, since Sekido's arm was in the way.
As Sekido dragged you back to your room, you watched Aizetsu carefully close your front door and lock it, each pair of eyes staring at you from the darkness of your living room, shining with light.
Looks like you'd have to make room for four more.
