Ngl i think put some CC stuff in here when this is only supposed to be CT.

Ben is really curious about darius's hair and always him different questions about how he takes care of it ,styles and washes it because he wants to do one date where he surprises him by doing his hair for him instead of Darius going to someone or doing his own hair

Ben can cook better than Darius

Darius bakes lots of stuff in his free time. Ben absolutely loves his baking

Darius wakes up in the middle of night because of nightmares and Ben will just be there for him hugging him the whole time. They'll go down stairs and watch movies till Darius sleepy. Once he is Ben carries him princesses style back to bed.

Ben would probably be the one to put Darius to sleep. Because of how stubborn Darius is and if he say he's not tired he will not go to bed but Ben will physically drag him into bed hug him and just hum songs until he falls asleep

They do arts and crafts as quality time

Ben's love language is physical touch

Darius is love language is giving gifts and talking also physical touch

Ben actually likes mint chocolate chip ice cream and Darius tried it once and he decided that he will never go near that flavor ever again

Darius's contact name in Ben's phone is not Dino nerd or Dino lover but angel from the baby dinosaurs in camp Cretaceous season 5 because Darius is personality reminded him a bit of angel so that's why his contact name is Angel

And Ben's contact number and darius's phone is rebel as an angel's brother because their personalities are so much because rebel was just very chaotic and energetic and so was Ben on the island and Darius is a sort of wanted to match too

When Ben got a new van he styled it the same way he did his old van but not as the exact same but there were similar qualities and there was stuff again in there like food in a boot and his pee bowl of licorice so Darius decided to put on gloves, a mask and get so much cleaning supplies that he cleaned out Ben's van throwed out anything disgusting and decided to give him silverware and dishes and tupperware for his van.( The van is dark blue btw)

Ben had a shark phase and would Yap about sharks like how Darius did dinosaurs and it made Darius fall in love with him even more.

Darius steals Ben shoes,clothes, and beanies

They would make out for hours ( their love for each other is like a flame that can't be put out.)

THIS IS MY LIKES AND DISLIKES OF CHAOS THEORY ⚠️Spoilers below cut⚠️

When i first finished this season, I too like some people, was skeptical about it. I get why some people say its bad, I just thought it was very different from cc. At points the characters didin't feel like themsleves, the way some of them were written and the designs gave me a real hard time to get used to them. Also i felt as if it was just too much to process at times so i rewatched it and my final answer is that its a good show the pacing is incredeble, the plot, the suspence and character development. i just had a hard time getting used to everything new? Ig. I'm still doubting whether its a 10 but sure thing is that it was a very good first season its a easy 9/10. So here are the thinks i liked abt it:

-THE WAY THEY POTRAYED EVERYONES TRAUMA/STRUGGLES , Sammy having anxiety, Yaz overcoming her ptsd, and KENJI. MY BOY. That must have been the best breakdown i've seen in animated series. Whoever wrote that scene. Wow. It was the best thing in the whole show honestly. His vision gtting blurry, having truble breathing. The panick. Wow. I CANNOT SAY THIS LOUD ENOUGH.

-Ben and Sammy duo? Hello? Im srry to say but you might just be better than Yaz and Ben duo. Idk i really loved them.

- "Benjamin."

- Showing Yaz is doing better. Despite her ongoing struggles, she has clearly grown and matured the last 6 years, and the way she calmed Sammy in the sinking van? Ig all those therapy sessions and college paid off. That scene is a clear illustration of the progress she has made. I mean sammy did say "i can tell shes still struggling" but there wasnt really a clear scene of her getting stuck in place as she used to. So my guess is that it was just Sammys anxiety and the fact that they didint talk much. Bc then Sammy was surprised how she kept herselve together. So yeah

-YASAMMY. NOTHING MORE TO ADD.

-UM SAMMYS CHARACTER?? HELLO? GLOW UP, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, i loved her sm. She moved up to my top 3.

And her anxiety? It was so well shown too

-the fight between Sammy and Yaz felt so natural and not at all forced. They both had valid points and in the end they did understand each other and were on the same page.

-Ben being Ben in almost every episode

- Yasmina's "boo."

-Brooklynns design?? Majestic to say the least.

- ingore what i said ealrier abt the acting out of character. They do remind themsleves they just grew

Well, all except Ben...

-Kenjis new voice actor, he did a real good job, as much as it doesn't sound like him, he really captured some emotional scenes very well.

- The robot lady. THEY REALLY SAID TAKE A WOMAN AND MAKE HER CREEPY ASF. I was genunanly creeped out. And the detail that at the ranch if u listen closesly u can hear the whistle. Hell nah that was scary.

-Benrius Ben and Darius friendship, okay actually u can't tell me u didint feel it too, the tention between ben and Darius cmon we all know what u are Ben stop making up girlfriends in Europe

-Brooklynn turning bad, or from what we are told worked for bad people ig. Personally as much as it shocked me, im sure theres a good reason as to why and i cant wait to hear more abt in season 2.

-I can now undertand what everyone meant in reviews saying "its more mature" not only in the more death and dinos but it woyud be kind of confusing for a younger audience to undertsand some stuff in this show.

-I really liked Daniels kon death, maybe it wasn't necesarry but im all in for that dark death scene.

-Lastly the comment Sammy makes when Ben asks how bumpy got pregnant, and the yazs smirk. Gurl i was suprised they added that but i loved it

Now, the things that i didint like and why:

- First of all, Darius being in love with brooklynn. I mean i get it but i also dont get it. In my opinion, there shouldn't have been a different reason as to why Darius was the most effected by her death. They were close and she died. Its okay to be really effected by someones death and not bc u liked them, and i also do believe that the reason for him not showing up the night she "died" should have been smth more serious. Then again i get it bc now he felt a lot more guilt bc it was for a not so important reason he didint show up and thats why he didint tell anyone. Well axtually it isnt that bad, but i just felt it was forced for the plot. This again could be bc i started to like kenlynn and now they turned the tables completly but sure.

-Brooklynns voice actor. I just couldn't connect her to brooklynn? She sounded a lot different, not a major bad thing it was just hard to get used to.

-Ben having a gf, or supposedly having one, u telling me this man has a gf:

I thought it funny but yk that man is a homosexual

- and lastly, Brooklynn being alive. This might sound bad but it made sense for her to die. And i was kinda lamed out that she wasnt dead. (Pls ironically enough, just weeks ago i begged for her to be alive.) But like the way everyone suffered bc of her death, going throught the 5 stages of grief, and the way the show was played. It just would have been better if she died, all those flashbacks, the emotional moments, i mean its not gonna be the same when i rewatch it bc i know shes alive. Anyways enough abt this.

Actually i have nothing more to add to my "bad stuff" list but i might come up with smth later. Bc i will be rewatchibg it obviously. Ig lastly i just wanted more episodes how dare they cutting the season of right there.

General announcements because holy fuck a lot has gone on.

Brand Bowman's Guide: Update sometime tonight. I'm super busy so it may be out on Sunday at like...2am instead. But it will be out sometime late tonight or if you don't see it, it will be up Sunday (5/3/24) morning.

Survival of the Fittest: I've decided the next update will probably be on the anniversary of me originally posting the fic (so 5/31/24) and will be 10k-15k+ words. There are several huge plot points I haven't had time to write, so by giving myself a month deadline I think I can finally get into the plot. Sorry for not updating sooner, but I think by doing this it will finally force myself to write the complicated aspects of S3 rather than extend character interactions to give myself more time.

Other: The trailer for JWCT came out ahhh!! It's so good, I'm so, so excited. All the designs look great and it looks like they're gonna explore some trauma yay! Also I think I saw Bumpy, my girl is here whooooo!

If you saw that SotF's chapters got rearranged/deleted by ao3, no you didn't. On that note, the issues are now fixed. Please tell me if something else happens or if chapter 9 and 67 decide to be weird again.

Benrius Urban Fantasy AU is coming along nicely. If I gave a safe estimate, I'd say it will come out in early July. I will have to put it off for a bit for life stuff in June + to finish Sotf and BBG this month.

How tf am I supposed to sleep when Yasammy is cannon, Ben is like the best character ever (we already knew that tho-) and just everything that happened in s5 bro- I swear if I see anyone get mad at anything other than ben looking like a homeless man (ben,sammy and yaz' furture designs in general), the last kenji x brooklyn kiss or the fact benrius deserved some more moments, imma lose it cuz that shit was amazing bro-

There are so many soft benrius moments. I’m gonna make a list (just off the top of my head) because we really were blessed with boys in love content.

Darius respecting Ben’s fear and not asking him to go on top of the monorail. Ben realizing this and going without making a big deal of it.

Darius being the only one to try to save Ben before he fell off the monorail.

The reunion hug, where Darius throws himself in Ben’s arms and Ben tucks his face against Darius’ neck.

How Ben doesn’t blame Darius for not being able to hold on.

Darius affectionately calling Ben a beautiful and disturbing boy.

Darius knowing that there was something upsetting Ben and asking about it when everyone else didn’t notice.

Their whole fight being about how Darius feels like leaving Ben is abandoning him. How when he says that, Ben’s hand wavers and his face goes soft.

“We blew up a gondola together! Doesn’t that mean anything to you?” “I blow stuff up all the time. You aren’t special.”

Ben referring to their fight as “working through some stuff” while comforting Bumpy like he and Darius are parents having a spat.

Ben telling Darius he loves him and acknowledging that Darius always takes care of him. “We make quite a pair.”

How tight they hug each other in the jungle.

Ben comforting Darius after Blue’s nest collapses.

Darius accepting that Ben needed to come to his decision about whether he stayed or left the island in his own time but still gripping the railing and whispering “come on” under his breath because he hoped Ben would choose to go with them.

Darius being the one to pull Ben from the ocean and onto the boat after Ben changes his mind about staying. How Darius keeps an arm around Ben’s shoulders.

JWCC HIDDEN ADVENTURE INTERACTIVE SPOILERS INCOMING

I haven’t played through one minor route (I think) but I’m pretty much through, so I’ll organize my thoughts here:

- No Yasammy content, tragically, but I feel like Benrius shippers will have a field day

- So. Many. Cutaway death scenes lmao. Workin hard to keep the Y-7 rating

- Season 4/5 weren’t really foreshadowed but I think some characters from the Dominion trilogy were discussed? I know for a fact that Owen Grady is important but maybe the old guy Birdman(???) is too. Felt like a tie in that I didn’t understand.

- No counselor content but lots of my girl Bumpy, and I’m fairly sure she can’t get killed

Extra Stuff ™️:

- Sammy talking about corn mazes. God I love how her Southern upbringing helps the campers all the time it’s such good rep

- The compies ambushing Kenji was hilarious ngl, don’t wanna see him suffer but it was goofy

- If poor Darius had just taken a shower before their outing so much would have been resolved lmao

- The whole hidden adventure subplot was actually super fun, and the rollercoaster bit where Darius jumps off into the water and Kenji follows him was just- beautiful :’)

- The concept of a horrible storm blazing through the island and fucking things up could have presented for a Season 4 plot that was way better than Kashy boy and the robots of death. Just sayin

- All in all, loved it a lot, 10/10, will be replaying later when I have the time

My JWCC: Hidden Adventure predictions, as follows:

- yasammy content, especially from sammy’s perspective (thanks to @rupphiremoyo for that one), additionally in one of the dead end routes where the player kills yaz or sammy, one of them might mention liking the other and being too scared to tell her. You know. For funsies

- cutaway death scenes that are kind of hilarious

- fleshing out of lore, maybe foreshadowing of the shit going down with mind control and the brads

- the ideal is seeing Dave and Roxy for .2 seconds but fat chance

- bumpy content :)

- wait can you kill bumpy???? Oh my god

Suffer

So we kind of see the tension in chaos theory and how Ben and Darius kind of look at each other cough cough like they always do so I was just thinking just like out of the blue

What if they were already together and they just broke up and we didn't know

Cuz I mean that's so much potential and what if the creators were like oh we're going to make them date before Brooklyn's death and then they just break up after Brooklyn's death and then they just stay friends but they still have that lovey dovey tension and then we're going to get them back together

And I'm thinking maybe they were dating like for 2 years and then after Brooklyn's death everyone would just spiraling downhill obviously and Ben still have Darius was and Ben decided to break it off thinking it was the best for both of them because they both needed to be alone and have space and Ben just kind of has that little I regret something look on him just like a tad bit like he looks like he's hiding like a lot of stuff and I feel like that could be one of the things

And I think the moment Darius realized he was in love with Brooklyn he was like planning to like break up with Ben somehow or just like try to immediately forget about the crush about Brooklyn because he loves Ben and doesn't want to hurt him.

And if Ben did break up with Darius like after Brooklyn's death and Darius was in like a spiraling down depression it would have given Darius more angst

And now in chaos theory their friends but maybe they're so slowly slowly becoming more than something.

credit to @johnskinda-vibin101Because this person pointed out the music during the drive where they were going to Sammy where Darius fell asleep and Ben was looking at him in my previous benrius post. That also really got me thinking like this was kind of the inspiration for this theory. Because they pointed out that the same music was playing when Sammy and yas got together and Brooklyn and Kenji got together so DreamWorks actually could be coming up with something because they did say in one of the interviews I think it was someone in San Diego where they said that they were going to be some new relationships so it could be possible could be I hope it will
