i started doing digital art in 2013 but the template starts at 2015 hehe

my essaying about my digital art journey below!!

2015 - i was very immersed in the soul eater community! i kept doing resbangs and making friends, and i love doing AUs, specifically soul & maka centric. this is the HTTYD AU where soul is the dragon!

2016 - yes this is Little Things PH's OCs that i did back in the day! i love their lil guys so much i had to make fanart. this was the art i gave to Ate in person!!

2017 - i drew a lot more pokemon this time ! idk why i didn't draw more of it digitally before. i had too much soul eater brainrot lmao. so i combined them! behold contestshipping x soma AU

2018 - this was the time when i got into K-pop! specifically Monsta X haha, i got more interested in doing fashion, especially for male characters~ (and i had to draw my beloved agenda, somakid)

2019 - my bias from MX, Minhyuk on a whale with Minggom! this was made for an artbook that was sent to him! i hope he got to see this along with my tiny message ;; i delved more into a new tiny chibi art style here

2020 - i drew way too much during this year and it led me to impossibly high standards for my art to this day //sobs. i redrew my Your Lie in April AU fanart and i really think i improved so much….. i went out of my comfort zone to really draw the background and the piano

2021 - genshin brainrot started here !! i was trying to find my style even more, and i love kokomi's color palette. i remember looking at 10x references and combining them into this specific pose in the fanart. i still think to this day this is one of my personal favorite art pieces of all time

2022 - another personal favorite art piece (and something my friend aura and a commissioner personally loved!), i was practicing on drawing men since i wasn't confident, but seeing how this turned out made me want to keep going ❤️

2023 - the latest maka & kid piece that i made! they are so precious to me. i love trying out new poses and dynamics, and i tried changing their outfits a bit more to highlight that i wanna try new fashion stuff ^^; i'd like to say it was a job well done ngl

2024 - and finally, a recent piece that i'm most proud of, and shows a lot of my art style (and i drew the background from scratch!). i redrew an old comic panel from a now discontinued comic, but i feel like i improved so much in terms of rendering, coloring, and anatomy!!

Soul Eater Evans, Maka Albarn, Death the Kid | Day 3 Read on FFNET or AO3

He makes his way to the Great Hall where the crowd of student is most dense. They’re all too busy to notice him, he believes, until the amount of giggling in the hallway increases. Soul looks down, walking faster.

Normally, he doesn’t feel this shy. He has his books to hold as a shield, and friends who circle him away from the pushing mass. However, there are no side conversations for him to tune into in favor of the rumors, no person to glare at the perpetrators into silence. He would just have to soldier on and hope that Maka and Kid are already waiting for him outside of the Hufflepuff commons.

When he reaches his destination, the two are nowhere to be found, and Soul can already feel the stares on his back, questioning why a Ravenclaw was standing outside of another house’s territory. In a way, the people watching him have already decided on the answer.

Slumping against the wall, struggling to make himself appear unbothered and effortless. He examines his wand, pretending to flick a couple of practice spells from his classes, anything but show that he was interested in what the others were saying.

They speak ill of Maka; that’s the most common complaint that he could hear in the building. Her dad, one of the professors in school, caused the most damage to her reputation, even before she entered school. It wasn’t her that they knew, but the transfiguration professor’s nightly activities as told by parents who had the same habits as their children. Maka both denies the rumors and her relationship with her dad, but Soul knows differently. He sees her leaving the dinner table early on some nights that Professor Spirit isn’t present at the front, taking a plate of food and a goblet of juice with her.

She is kind and considerate. For a slytherin, people will follow with after.

What other atrocities did they say about her? Other than about how she was similar to the most promiscuous professor on campus? They call her easy, yet prudish in the same breath. Stern and bossy. Bright and overachieving. A halfblood. A slytherin.

Soul feels himself growing more anxious the longer he stands. The stories begin to mix in his name and Kid’s. He hears how picky she is, but how she leads men on with sweet words and flirtatious giggles. They offer personal recounts about how Soul was seen with Maka last weekend in Hogsmeade, and then how Maka was studying with Kid in the library late into the night. Finally, they sneered about why Soul is waiting for her in front of a commons that belonged to neither him nor her.

They didn’t come close to the truth.

Soul wishes that Maka and Kid would come out sooner, chastising himself for coming earlier than their appointed time. He checks his enchanted pocket watch and focuses on the clouds that move across the background. It’s gift from Kid, charmed to show the state of the sky above Soul with deadly accuracy. He has a unique hand in magical objects, possibly a skill that he received from his stepfather, Professor Eibon.

Involuntarily, Soul remembers that Kid is another student plagued with the same animosity that Maka faced. Kid, the son of the headmaster, the stepson of another professor, is fated to be another hot topic in the hallways. From eccentric to tedious, and nit-picky to unaware, Kid has been called the entire spectrum of labels by those who couldn’t quite wrap their heads around him.

Perhaps that’s why they avoid him, Soul thinks. Despite him being in one the house most reputable for their hospitality and warmth, Kid prefers to stay with his unique group of friends rather than anyone else. He makes no effort to conform, and that’s probably why Soul doesn’t hide himself in front of Kid either.

A rumbling sound alerts his attention to his left side. The barrels beside him quiver, expanding until a nice opening is formed, and out comes Maka, and then Kid.

“Soul!” Maka says, bouncing to his side and hugging him tightly. “You came early.”

It is a wonder how Maka isn’t the one who belongs to Hufflepuff; her smiles should’ve easily given her the clear. He reaches to carry the basket hanging off from her arm, but she slaps him away.

Soul sighs, “I wasn’t waiting long. Are you two ready?”

Kid nods to him as a greeting. “The sky is clear today. It should be optimal weather.”

“Look at what the house elves gave us! Lots of sweets and finger foods. I can’t wait to eat them.”

“Be patient,” Kid says, plucking the basket away. “The last time we had something planned, you ate half of the basket before we reached our destination.”

She pouts, “The courtyard is close this time.”

As he watches their banter, Soul couldn’t help but to notice other voices overshadowing theirs.

She just wants to marry into power, the whispers carry. Anyone would do, so long as they were rich.

Plot twist, the two guys are dating instead.

So who do you think she’ll choose? I prefer the moody one.

How weird is it to date someone outside of your house, though? Let alone the both of them, at the same time.

“Soul?” Kid calls.

Maka looks behind her in worry.

He realizes that he’s stopped in the middle of the hallway, and moves his feet again. “Sorry, what were you saying?” His mind still pricks with annoyance and anxiety.

Instead of answering his question, Kid waits for Soul to catch up, and he says softly, “Don’t worry about them. You have us.” He slips his hand into Soul’s, who then squeezes it tightly.

The space on his other side is immediately filled, too. Maka holds his hand and grins. “Fuck ‘em. Let’s go eat good.”

Once they reach the courtyard, they lay a blanket on top of the grass and climb onto it together. Maka uncaps a muggle thermal mug, while Kid frets about whether there really is enough food for all three of them. Maka hushes him, handing him a cup of warm tea, and tells him that he is the one who packed the basket. He is over prepared, as always, she jokes.

Before Soul could lay down, Kid passes his cup to him, raising an eyebrow. It doesn’t seem like Maka is pouring another one, so he takes it, sipping on it and blushing at the thought of an indirect kiss. They call him silly, but endearingly so.

The three of them continue their date beyond the eyes of the people around them, and Soul knows that their love goes further than the spread of whispers.

OTP: Black Star x Tsubaki; been shipping them since day 1, and i absolutely love how patient tsu-chan is? and in the manga, their relationship has really deepened and it’s just really pure 

BrOTP: Black Star x Maka hell yah (i could ship them too bc of @l0chn3ss) their chemistry is just really good? sometimes they bicker quite a lot but even tho sometimes star doesn’t show it, he obvs really cares for maka (whether that be familial or romantic it’s up to u)

OT3: i dont particularly have an ot3 for him though? i could ship him with maka and soul but that would be like somakid lol

26. Have you noticed a pattern in your shipping? Is there a romantic dynamic you’re more drawn to?

hmmmm i guess it would be almost-canon ships (if not already canon)? i’ve taken a look at some of them and they seem to have more romantic hints in canon than others? and sometimes i go for the polar opposites kind, but i guess it’s more in the chemistry as well. somakid (or to a lesser extent, makid/kima) aint canon but i wanna believe that they have the (ot3) Chemistry

i guess the easiest way to see the pattern in my ships is to see my blog and the sidebar gif i have there (the only non-canon ship, well not canon in the end spoiler i’ve had so far was from kokoro connect, like iori and taichi)

37. Do you have a favorite trope and/or AU for your OTP?

dang uh i love anything to do with time travel, or anything to do with time, so an au about it would be nice. just a lot of feels will do the trick

for some reason the trope about soulmates not finding one another at first (missing each other) until they finally meet and then connect the dots?? that’s precious to me. also ships being adorable and domestic. very good stuff right there

and this one definitely needs context. uhm, im not sure when exactly it started, but blame it all on my sister (lol no dont) for making a Guardians AU where maka shared a similar wavelength to nightlight (this was before jack = nightlight), and well, yeah. it just went downhill from there.

also jack has white hair. similar to soul… there might be a pattern…

(please read the au it’s actually quite good. i also helped in making the SE characters seem more canon/believable. and there’s soma so why not)

i am in love with this okay i will fite for the three of them. if there’s anything i love other than soma, it’s somakid, for reals. idk where i started with this ot3 tbh. it just happened. i also saw a few fanarts and some parts in the manga and anime were very nice, and they were the top three most popular characters in the second popularity poll in the manga? but im not entirely sure why i shipped them and what made me ship them.

they just work??? i love them. till this day. (although i’ve been more of soma lately… must draw kid more.)

Okay, so I saw that you ship somakid. And that's adorable. And I'm pretty sure I ship it too. But like, I'm still watching the anime off of netflix, but all the stuff you reblog has made me ship it. So, ummm. Yeah. Have a nice day :-)

If I had a specialty concerning Soul Eater (aside from SoMa) would be SoMaKid!! I actually thought I was the only one who had that OT3! It feels good to not be the only one (and the fact that I made you ship it! AHH).

Tbh I only shipped it because I had a liking to love triangles and it only escalated when I started reading the manga of Soul Eater. I mean, idk. I have tons of OT3s but they’re all based on SoMaKid.

That reminds me, I have a lot of SoMaKid arts and fics that I haven’t shown anyone yet. Up until this point, my sister was the only one who knew my SoMaKid obsession. (Although my FF.net pen name would have been a dead giveaway). I do know that everybody is entitled to their own guilty pleasures, and this is mine. >w>

"HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY"

And I'm late again.

It took a while to finish this, sorry guys. But here it is! The mothers of my favorite characters in five of my favorite fandoms! Their most heartfelt moments with each other.

1. Soul Eater Evans (Soul Eater) and his mother. (( I named her Claire Evans. Her design was based on this comic page by Miyaow. ))

2. Maka Albarn (Soul Eater) and her mother. (( I'm not sure if her name is Kami. A lot of people have been saying it's a translation mistake, but I'd like to play it safe. ))

3. Death the Kid (Soul Eater) and his mother. (( Lady Death/Karoshi is what I'd like to name her. Headcanon: she died after giving birth to Kid. -sobs- ))

4. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III (How to Train Your Dragon) and his mother. (( Okay, so you might be wondering why that helmet was there when it was part of her breast plate. But my headcanon is that she gave it to Stoick and Hiccup before she went off to a war concerning dragons or something. I'm not good at making headcanons for this fandom but I try. ))

5. Rapunzel (Tangled) and her mother. (( Gothel isn't really her mother, so of course, it had to be the Queen of Corona. ))

6. Jackson Overland Frost (Rise of the Guardians) and his mother. (( She's giving Jack his cloak. And Jack's and Hiccup's clothes are big and loose since I think it would be cool that they all had their clothes as a child so they can grow it out. ))

7. Merida Dunbroch (Brave) and her mother, Queen Elinor. (( The only mother whom I know the name of. Oh and I love how I did that hug. ))
