The Hoover Dam circa 1997 located near Boulder City in Nevada. The dam was built in 1931/1936 and impounds Lake Mead - the largest reservoir in the USA. Goodbye Thessanoliki ♥️ We’re on the road to Mount Olympus! I spent a week in Thessanoliki and played badminton 5 days in a row. My poor body. Even when I’m “resting” from riding, I still put my body through the ringer 😹 I’m always thankful when the local gym welcomes me. The coach and another player took me out for dinner after practice at a local spot and that was one of the BEST meals I had in Thessanoliki. SO GOOD. The coach even gave me a team shirt 🥺 I PROUDLY wear it everywhere I go. I think I’m doing something right in life. It’s one of the best feelings in the world to be welcomed and liked as a stranger and a foreigner. Americans get a bad rap and I want to prove we’re good people too. I’ve worked really hard to become who I am and it shows in the smallest ways. For example, when I’m invited back to play at the gym again. Thanks consciousness and self awareness. It was a tough road, but it’s paying off. I want you to know if you’re not exactly where you want to be or who you want to be in life, you’re still on the right path. Have a great weekend y’all. I took a 3 day trip to Puerto Princesa. It was not entirely a DIY trip since I booked the Underground River Tour via Klook. Despite the recent incidents of people going missing and whatnot, I was able to go home safely. So, I brought with me one suitcase that would fit my outfit (?) for that short trip including minibags and slip ons.  Day 2 - Cowrie Island It was early in the morning and I was hoping to be able to catch a group tour for the island hopping but I needed to catch my flight back to Manila. So, I just rented a boat to Cowrie Island. I came to the island at around 7 or 8am. It was really super early that I was still able to roam around alone.
