right I think making bee drugs is probably weirder actually. I don't think it's any better than using bees for any other purpose. I am not very good with names at all so a lot of what the Homestuck fandom says is incomprehensible. so is a lot of normal Homestuck. can they stop making up new names I'm relying so heavily on context clues. I'm only on act 3 and I have lost the plot but I'm sure it'll be fine

Ohh, you like writing Karkat and Sollux, you say? Well, if you feel like it, maybe something about those two (separately or together!) with a reader who's stubborn, but in a funny way? Any quadrant (I feel like it would be cool in pitch) and any format! I hope this one's fun for you!

- if he were in red with you he lets you win any argument because like you’re so stubborn and he’s too tired to argue, he might indulge a bit if pale but even then he gives up because is it worth ruining the friendship over if bees can fly or not. However if black he will actually go back and fourth with you for hours and would have the time of his life doing so.

- perhaps though what frustrates him is that since you’re so stubborn if the two of you are to ever fight he has to go to you first, and deal with you not apologizing like he will (because you’re so stubborn) something he isn’t used to

2021, 6/24 - Aradia Megido

You rise with the coming of the dawn, without need for your phone alarm or your partner’s to rouse you from slumber. You ease Sollux’s hand off your waist and tiptoe out of bed, wincing when your joints decide to crack. Pain lances through your knees, and you nearly fall flat on your ass from the white-hot immediacy of the sensation. 

You swear, but not loudly enough to rouse him.

It’s a blip in time, a moment of discomfort, and you stretch to ease yourself out of it. You focus on the light breeze of the window fan on your body, on the animal skulls on your bookshelf, on the sound of Sollux’s nasal snore. 

You hold your breath. Let it out.

You are Aradia Megido, and you will not let your aching joints ruin your day so easily. You inhale and exhale until the sensation dulls down to a somewhat obnoxious twinge. You lean into the stretch you give your left leg, try to duplicate it with your right, and again, the pain takes another stab at you.

You inhale again. Count to five. Exhale. Count to seven. Gently, you lower yourself into a squat. No spiking discomfort in your joints in response - at least this much is possible at the moment. 

You do have gabapentin if you still feel this way by the time you have to teach, as Sollux would remind you, but you’d rather not let it come to that. Your medication does a decent job of settling your pain, but also has a knack for rendering you brain-foggy and dubiously coherent. You’re still only an adjunct, and while you don’t think you could be fired for having a disability, you could end up on thin ice if you ran out of ability to lecture properly.

You glance at him, and find yourself overcome with tenderness. He’s got his arm thrown around your stuffed sheep, with an unbroken line of drool trailing from his mouth to his pillow. You’d take a picture to show him later, but he’d probably sulk. You hold in the giggle that threatens to escape from your mouth, walking out of your bedroom and into your kitchen.

It is 5:47 in the morning, which means it is almost time for your morning cup of tea. Twelve. minutes until you turn on the electric teapot, and then thirteen till it goes off. You take hold of the kitchen counter and try to ease back into your stretches.

2021, 6/24 - Sollux Captor

When you wake, it takes you a couple of moments to adjust to the fact that the bed is empty. Aradia left Lamb Chop - what a weird name for a stuffed sheep - in your arms, and although you’ve no particular love for it, you leave it right on top of her dresser, so she can see where it is when she returns.

Aradia’s in the kitchen, one room over, singing along to music on her phone when you walk in, her husky voice barely audible above the volume of the song.

“My church offers no absolution, she tells me ‘worship in the bedroom.’ The only heaven I’ll be sent to is when I’m alone with you.”

You like Hozier better than Harry Styles, you’ll give her that.

She’s sitting on the counter, a foot away from the still cooling teapot, her sock-clad feet swinging, unable to touch the floor. She smiles up at you - or maybe over at you - since she’s nearly your height from her spot. You lean so that your face sits mere inches from hers, and kiss her nose. She takes your hand and holds it to her cheek.

“Good morning, Sollux,” she says. She plays with your splayed fingers, the tips of hers warm from the hot cup of tea she had previously been holding. One of the thin shoulder straps of her nightgown has begun to wind its way down her bicep. You straighten it with your free hand. She plants tiny kisses against your palm.

“Want some tea?” she asks. She hops off the counter and pulls your yellow, bee-patterned mug out of the cabinet.

“I’m not ready to be conscious yet,” you reply. You want to kiss her again, but you hesitate.

Sollux Captor, you look like a dysthymic hedgehog with your hair sticking out the way it does, and you definitely have morning breath. In fact, there might be drool on your face.

A lot of times, you imagine being smooth as fuck around Aradia, so smooth that you are practically frictionless, at which point you sweep her off her feet. Then in reality, you fall flat on your face and end up being corny as all hell.

Somehow she likes you anyway, this woman with her crooked little smile and curly black hair that ties do little to constrain. She likes you more than the mounted raccoon she made during her last attempt at taxidermy. She likes you more than her tarot deck and doing creepily prescient readings. She likes you in spite of all your failures, attributes she doesn’t even see as failures - such as your insane brain, your jagged dalliances with ecstatic melancholy.

She likes you enough to let you into her apartment, into the inner workings of her life without having to think about the decision all that much. Everything she gives you feels almost automatic, like she couldn’t not want you around if she tried. She doesn’t even expect you to talk if you don’t want to. She fills up uncomfortable silences by singing a couple of lines from whatever song she’s got stuck in her head this time around.

She cuts open a pomegranate, several of the seeds of which she eats by driving a spoon into its flesh and then devouring the result. You gaze at her, this dark-eyed girl with red juice running down her chin, and smile more easily than you ever have. She adds a few pomegranate seeds to her tea, and they float like little red apostrophes in the murky liquid.

“I have a coding gig today,” you inform her. She wipes her mouth and bestows a congratulatory kiss to your forehead.

“Okay,” she replies. She holds your bee cup out to you, serene. “Does that mean you want tea now? I have this ginseng green tea that’ll wake you right up.”

You guess you’ve staved off caffeination for long enough.

“Yeah, sure, Ray. Lay it on me.”

LUSUS HEADCANONS

In the world of Alternia there are not only the trolls we all know and love, but also the amazing white furred creatures that serve as guardians to them.

Yes, tonight we are talking about lusii and some of our headcanons on what species and characteristics lusii should have according to caste. 

We made an extensive research, using all the canonical material to bring you a quick and easy guide to lusii by blood type. We hope that this can help you decide what lusus you want for your troll in the future. 

Now a few short disclaimers before we start:

Firstly, we refer to “lusii” as the creatures that act as the troll’s guardian, they are different to “pets”, those are creatures adopted by the troll for company and are non-existent in the canon. A lusus can act as a pet but a pet is not necessarily the troll’s lusus. 

Secondly, Mutant bloods and cuspbloods would often be ignored by lusii the same way an animal would reject a defective offspring. Despite the fact that the followers of the signless created a lusus to take care of mutant grubs, we are not sure how many species of mutant blooded lusii are out there and if they would adopt any mutant blood. 

Cuspblooded trolls could be adopted by a lusus that shares one of its colors, however cuspblooded lusii do not exist.  

And thirdly, We talk high and mighty about our headcanons and about the canonical material, but please remember that these are just our point of view and are not the norm. You don't have to accept it if it doesn’t work for you, in the end you create your troll’s world the way you like the best.

The burgundy caste is often known for being often weak physically compared to other castes like Olives, Indigos or Purples, but they are very strong mentally, with their dominion over thelepatics. Canonical Rustbloods also tend to be more docile and obedient, not as aggressive as higher castes, which deems them perfect for servitude. So we figured Rustblooded lusii should follow these patterns. 

A rustblooded lusus could be a creature with a gentle nature or a creature that is not very active. A good example of this would be Xefros giant sloth lusus, that even though is big and protective, it doesn’t seem to be aggressive and its movements are lazy. 

Other good examples would be creatures like Dormice, Lazy cats, Koalas, and other meek animals that are not usually aggressive. 

However, another possible type of creature for a Rustblood lusus could be a mystical creature commonly associated with the mind or death. Since Rustbloods are known for their strong psychic powers and the ability to connect to the dead, it wouldn’t be surprising that they were chosen by a lusii with similar powers as well.

There are a few canonical Bronze lusii, Tinkerbull,  Lady the collie, Canary the emu and the deercat.

All these creatures share a common trait: they are all based on domesticated animals. 

Yes, even the deercat, which is portrayed with a saddle, a clear sign of domestication. 

It fits well with bronzebloods as they are known for being hardworking trolls, often handling other lusii or doing heavy duty work. Being the second lowest caste, they are also portrayed to be servants to higher castes, and are often deemed to be friendly and non aggressive. 

There are of course exceptions, as we know the Deercat chooses bronze trolls that have strong leadership traits. 

Any animal that has some form of domestication fits well as a Bronze lusus, from farm animals like cows, sheep, fowl and pigs, to any other company animal like dogs, cats, ferrets, birds and even hamsters. 

You wouldn't believe what animals have already been domesticated. 

Canonically there is only one goldblooded lusus, that being the biclops that is Sollux dad. However it’s been theorized that Cirava has a wasp-like lusus, seeing as how they have a wasp like hive in the ceiling of their… Well, hive. 

With this in mind, We believe a goldblooded lusus should be any creature with a duplicated feature: two heads, two tails, to sets of ears, two extra limbs, two extra eyes, etc. Always keeping the symmetry as all Goldbloods are shown to be symmetrical at birth and have double horns compared to other trolls.  

Insects like beetles, butterflies and bees all enter this category as they already show to have extra limbs. Not to mention that Goldblooded trolls often work in apiculture and apiculture networking.  

Another good option are creatures that are receptive to electricity and electromagnetism or are receptive to frequency waves, as gooldbloods are known for their psionic powers and their knowledge of  technology. Eels and bats are a good example for this. 

Of course, there are no existent lime trolls in the canon, therefore there are no existent lime lusii either. We could argue that Karkat’s Crabdad could be considered a lime lusus, however he was created by the signless followers so mutant grubs would have a lusus of their own.

Therefore this headcanon is purely based on our opinion and how little we know about limebloods. 

With so little to work with, we theorize that Limebloods could have hybrid or strange creatures as their lusus, this will go well with the overall “mystery” of what a limeblood really was and what their powers were. 

We have theorized before what limeblood powers were, but as of now there is no canonical interpretation of it. 

So hybrid or strange animals like platypus, echidnas, and any strange combination you can think of could work well for the elusive  limeblood. 

Olives are a jack of all trades in Alternia, known for their agility, strength and sharp minds, they can do a large range of works throughout the world, from hunters and mercenaries, to clever detectives, artists and even salesfolk.

With these traits, we theorize that Olivebloods should have mammalian-like creatures covered in fur as their lusii. We would even say that Olives tend to have predatory animals, not necessarily mammals. as lusii, such as wolves, felines, mustelids, bears and so on... but we could easily see a young olive troll learning their agility and cleverness from a rabbit, a deer or a squirrel. 

Now, there are mixed beliefs when it comes to Jade lusii. Kanaya has a virgin mother grub as her lusus, however it's unclear whether her having a lusus is a special case or a common occurrence between jade trolls.

We like to theorize that jades have lusii around helping them take care of younger jades and even grubs before they are taken by their respective lusii. 

Jade lusii should be all females, just like jades, with very few exceptions. Creatures with strong maternal instincts, or creatures that are often associated with femininity work well as Jade lusii. So lionesses, does, hens, bears, cows, swans, butterflies or even mantises and spiders could be good options for jade lusii. 

However, another good example could be cave-dwelling creatures that are already native to the brooding caverns, so bats and glow worms could be a good idea. 

Some of these lusii could even have bioluminescence, similar to how some Jades develop glowing skin as rainbowdrinkers. 

There is quite a large menagerie of canonical tealblooded lusii, and we have found a few traits that could be considered a pattern.

Seeing as how Tealbloods are born and raised to work in the law career, it would be appropriate to assume that tealblooded lusii reflect this as well.

So creatures that are often associated with justice, law, loyalty,  protection or balance could be a good lusii for a Tealblood. So creatures such as dogs, lions, bears, and hedgehogs are good examples of this. 

There is also the possibility that tealblood lusii have all some sort of relation to dragons, seeing as how dragons are often portrayed as a symbol of protection, justice and loyalty. So reptiles and birds could enter this category, there are thousands of dragon types out there and creatures that are related to draconic creatures. 

Ceruleans are often known to be sly and sneaky, sometimes even a bit manipulative and they are commonly not well seen by other trolls, even if they are considered “blue bloods”. It wouldn’t be a surprise that creatures often deemed as “vermin” or “creepy crawlies” would favor Ceruleans as their charges, possibly adding to the overall bad and unjustified reputation of the blood.  Also creatures with bad reputation or creatures commonly known as “sly”.

So creatures like spiders, insects, snakes and rats could be good options for a cerulean troll. 

This one will be very short, as of now all Indigo lusii show the same traits: they are all Ungulate creatures. Which makes sense considering there are a lot of horse puns around the indigo blood. Not only that, but horses and other ungulated creatures are often a representation of strength that is the main trait of Indigo bloods. 

So any ungulate creature from horses, goats, elk, and even giraffes or rhinos work as good indigo lusii. 

We have talked here a lot about our headcanon for purple lusii. 

It has been shown in canon that purple lusii are aquatic or semi aquatic, not to mention that often purples build their hives near the sea so they can be close to their respective lusii. So any creature that depends on water for survival but can still breathe air can be considered a good lusus for a purpleblood.  

So Aquatic animals like whales, seals and dolphins, Semi-aquatic animals like aquatic birds, otters and hippos, to even amphibians could be your choice for a purple lusus. 

So this one is a no-brainer, since violetbloods are aquatic themselves, it would only be reasonable to think that their lusii are aquatic as well.

So any type of aquatic or semi-aquatic creature fits here, as long as they can breathe underwater. 

Yes, you heard us right!

Fuchsia trolls could have lusus too!

Though it's commonly known that the heiress is often raised by the Gl'bgolyb, however when there is more than one fuchsia troll around, there is the possibility that the Gl'bgolyb would prefer one to the others.

So It wouldn’t be too out there to assume that some fuchsiablooded lusii would assist in the raising of young possible heirs to the throne. 

A fuchsia lusus should be a water dwelling creature that doesn’t often come to the surface, so bottom dwellers, deep sea creatures or reef creatures are good examples for this.

Our headcanons for lusii characteristics according to their caste!

Please remember we are going with standards here, we are aware that all trolls are different and show the traits of their caste in a different way than the rest. Their lusus should also represent that!

I fucking NEED to write a Homestuck reincarnation AU with the ancestors. So I'll do it.

Tbh it'll be mostly our favorites hemoanarchist (gods do I love this word) ; The Signless, the Dolorosa, the Psiioniic and the Disciple. Because I love them, that's why. (let's say the Psiioniic died with the others bc if he's not dead he can't be reborn. He was still the helsman but for a shorter time)

So at first I was thinking "they could be reincarnated as Karkat, Sollux, Nepeta and Kanaya" but then I realized that there would be no Karkat, Nepeta, etc... And I love them. So nope nope nope. So I decided that they would be reborn six or seven sweeps before the beta trolls, with the same sign, same blood color and pre-scratch names. They're raised by the same lusus as their descendants. Now there's three ways to do it. 1) everyone remembers. 2) nobody remembers but they have feelings and dreams. 3) only one of them remember. The 3 would be interesting and sad ! Lots of angst. But as much as I love angst, I couldn't write it to save my life. I'm just overwhelmed by the "I want them to be happy". The 2 would be very interesting to write ! Slow burn and pining and also angst bc "why the fuck am I dreaming about my wrists burning ???". Also "I feel I loved you for so long but we literally just met ???". Nice. But sadly, I'll write the 1 ! Because I want to.

So. They're hatched like seven sweeps before their descendants. At first, they live their life quietly. Since Alternia is... Well, a whole planet, they never met when they were young (that would be too easy. They'll meet way later). They think they are alone :( cue angst. But their life isn't so bad. Kinda. Signless (and holy shit he has a lusus ! With his blood color ! He misses his mother but he's happy to have a lusus : he never had one before so) learns to shout loudly with Crabdad (lol) and doesn't go out much (bc you know mutant) but when he does everyone he mets is baffled bc he's super nice ?? He's like those people who smile at you on the streets and even if you know you'll never see him again you fell a little pale something. Half of his neighborhood got a little pale crush on him (he's totally oblivious because guess what ! He's still in love with Psii and Disciple). He studies psychology and other alien civilisations online bc he thinks it's interesting. That's all. He gives advices to people (he got a blog. He's pretty famous for his advice ! Both because he's wise and because his advices is always pacifist). He thinks he's in a other universe (again !) and then he discovers the story of the Signless (by sheer luck, since the story has been erased everywhere by the Condesce) and he's just baffled because wow, he's thousands of sweeps in the future ! Wow ! And also because "does that means that the Condesce is the same fucking Condesce that killed me/us ? WHEN WILL SHE DIE". The Psiioniic lives with his bipolar lusus (nothing new, he' s bipolar himself) and is the best hacker of all Alternia (come ON, of course he is !). Every goldblood knows him, there's a rumor (that nobody takes seriously) that he's the reincarnation of the Psiioniic ! (every time Psii hears this rumors he laughs so hard he cries. It's just so... So funny) he uses his skills for hacking more or less everything, subtly attacking the Condesce (nothing major he knows he can't win), fucking with highbloods (and if he specifically targets those cerulean that act like pirates, those indigo with bows, those violets orphaners, that's nobody's business) and search for the others three, because despite thinking he is alone, there's still a spark of hope (honestly, if we're being realist, he probably would have found them in one or two sweeps since he's really good. But that would be too easy ! So no). The Dolorosa is not in the caverns (and is thankful for that, because after a lifetime outside, she isn't ready to go back to this claustrophobic darkness where she would search and never find a hint of candy red). She does clothes. She's very good ans even does clothes for highbloods. She's both respected and feared. There are rumors about her, rumors of white light and stains of cobalt and violet blood on her lipstick. But those are only rumors, right ? It's strange for her to be this young, but it's also good. The Disciple lives in the forest, with her lusus. She's the best huntress ! Tbh she's a bit of a cryptid. People talking about the beast in the woods. Most olive bloods knows it's her ; she's not the first olive to live in the woods after all. She tries to find the remaining signlessists (is that how it's written ?) to 1) check if what they teach is really what Signless taught, because she knows how cults can be and 2) if they still have the right idea, maybe join them. Maybe not. She's not exactly a signlessist, after all.

Let's say it's a no game AU because I don't want them to die. Also, to be clear, I ship Psii/Signless/Disciple as in Psii/Signless + Disciple/Signless. I don't really ship Psii/Disciple, I see them as... Very good chaotic friends with blackflirting, could be pale or black or red but have this sort of "ewww" reaction about dating each other so no.

When they're seven sweeps, their lusus brings home a wiggler that looks exactly like them (everyone reacts differently : Disciple squeals because Nepeta is so cute ! Psiioniic look at Sollux like... What ? Is ? This ? Another Captor disaster ? In this house ? We're doomed. Dolorosa is surprised but well. She already raised a child, and this time her lusus will help. Signless is shocked. Really. He stays silent for hours and maybe cries a little. After a while they all figure out that they're their descendants - that leads to a "wait but if this is my descendant... Am I biologically my own descendant ??" confusion but eh). They're all very fucking surprised but well.

Nepeta grows up with her big Sister Meulin and their shared lusus. She never really understood that having a big sister was weird until she met Equius. After all, three of her friends also had siblings ! She loves her big sister ; Meulin is clever and nice and pretty and strong and she wants to be like her when she grows up ! But sometimes her big sister looks at the red blood of the beasts they kill with sad eyes, sometimes she draws a symbol Nepeta doesn't knows, she never kills bees, she has a lot of respect for the jades, and she hates being alone. Her sister hates loneliness more than anything. Sometimes, even with sopor her sister wakes up crying about people she doesn't knows. But her sister is the best of all. And when she tells Nepeta stories of love and equality, Nepeta listens, and understands.

Sollux grows up with his annoying big brother Mituna. They have this sibling rivalry (some trolls think it's blackflirting - ewww). His brother is the best hacker of Alternia and Sollux thinks he's very cool (even if he will never admit it). Sometimes his brother shakes his hands and legs for hours mumbling strange things (still moving still moving still alive not trapped not a helsman she's not here I'm not here) and touches the back of his neck, as if he expected something to be here. Some days his brother flinches just seeing pink. He spends days searching people online - Sollux thinks it's kinda stupid ; nobody has blood that red. His brother wears a necklace with a symbol that isn't his. He has three sharpies with three colors - Sollux expected yellow and blue and red but those are bright red and olive and jade. Sometimes he draws on his hands with those sharpies - always the same symbols. Sometimes he wakes up screaming and he talks in his sleep - about ships, about pink, about blue arrows and bright red blood and someone that was everything. Sollux doesn't really understands. His brother is sad half of the time, but it's okay, because Sollux isn't better. But he wouldn't have it any other way (he sure would like to do without the voices and the bipolarity and his brother's depression but we can't have everything)

Kanaya thinks her big sister Porrim is very wise. Maybe a bit too much for her age. Sometimes her sister seems very old. Porrim is beautiful ; the prettiest troll Kanaya has ever seen really, but there's a old sadness deep in her bones that's always here. Her big sister always hated the ocean. Most trolls feared it (because of the seadwellers) but her big sister hated it. She had an odd look on her face every time she saw a spider and never wore anything with blue or violet or pink. Her sister had a sad smile when she helped her to do her red skirt. Her sister is wonderful. Almost more like a mother to Kanaya than their actual mother. When Kanaya was little, she told Porrim so. Porrim laughed very hard and maybe cried a little, and Kanaya doesn't remember her answer (I have only one child, little sister, and it isn't you).

Karkat thinks his big brother Kankri was someone else, before he was his big brother. He sees many things on him that shouldn't be here. He sees his big brother rubbing his wrists sometimes, and flinches every time Karkat grabs them (Karkat does it because of that ; he wants his brother to know that he doesn't have to be afraid). His brother can't cook meat, because the scent of burned meat makes him gag and cry and rub his wrists harder. His brother never does anything to the little beehive on their house - he says he likes bees. His brother loves meowbeasts, like Karkat's olive friend. His brother believes in rainbow drinkers - it's strange. Rainbow drinkers doesn't exist after all ! When he was very little, Karkat thought that Kankri was a coward - he never fought anyone and was always talking about peace and equality and love ! Lame. But then when he was four sweeps he told his brother that he wanted to be a threshecutioner and Kankri suddenly looked very afraid. He explained him things ; about their blood, about the empress, about the culling, about equality. After that, Karkat decided that Kankri was cool in a very strange manner, and that peace and equality andd love wasn't that bad after all. Karkat thinks that his brother is one of those heroes we never talk about, and nobody remembers them because they did heroics things without hurting anyone or killing monsters. He thinks that being like his big brother would be nice. He knows he has anger problems, he tries to deal with it (it helps that he isn't the only one, with Sollux being bipolar and Nepeta being autistic). His brother helps him with his quadrant confusion, when he says he has a pale crush on Kanaya but he also has a crush on Nepeta and Sollux but it's like on all quadrants ! (yup I ship them all) his brothers laughs and tells him about his own history with his lovers and how they were everything to him without really being in a quadrant. It... Slightly help (Karkat still thinks his crushes are unrequited. Fool).

Those four little trolls grows up with their lusus and someone else, and it changes little things. Nepeta begins to write books of romance and adventure and she tells stories to those who wants to hear them. Sollux knows he can count on his friends and his brother ; he doesn't have to bear everything alone. Kanaya knows that if she doesn't wants to go to the caverns, her big sister will help her. She doesn't have to be an adult before really being one. Karkat is a pacifist and thinks his shouting skills are actually very useful to scold people (he isn't wrong). He wants to deal with conflicts without violence or blood spilled (especially not his !!!). He's working on his anger. It's hard, but he isn't alone. He told his closest friends about his blood color : Sollux Nepeta and Kanaya (he wanted to tell Gamzee as well but Gamzee can't keep a secret).

Honestly the reunion between the ancestors would be very emotional of course. Like at this point Karkat and Kanaya would totally be moirails and Sollux, Karkat and Nepeta would be dating (after a long chat about the quadrant thing they decided to say fuck the quadrant system). So they would like meet in person and their big brothers/sisters would go with them but like... Just to make sure they're alright you know (alternia is dangerous after all :/). And HERE'S the emotional reunion I guess. I won't write it, I don't know how to. But you see.

My main idea was a Reincarnation AU, then it became "Karkat, Sollux, Nepeta and Kanaya growing up with their ancestors but not as their ancestors and noticing strange things about their siblings". Hope you like it, because I sure do !

Eridan smiled over at the Asian male next to him, miss-matched eyes smiling back over the table back to his own odd violet ones. He couldn't help the small quirk to his lips as the waitress came over and sat down a set of drinks for the boys to enjoy, Sollux taking his drink and taking a drink with a soft little 'ah' afterwards. "Tho..... Friday night, and I'm already theeing a bunch of Thirtth jutht waltzing into the bar." he commented with a smirk as another male walked into the bar, his tie undone and a 5 o'clock shadow highlighting his jawline.

Eridan couldn't help the soft giggle that escaped him with a nod, reaching out and taking his own drink with a curious sniff at the strawberry filled liquid. "Sol...what did you order for me again?" he asked, head tilting to the side as he took the straw between his lips and tasting it with a shocked little hum. Eridan hadn't expected it to be so good, his boyfriend having been bad about ordering a strong drink and not warning him about the bitters or the high alcohol content of the drink in question.

Sollux smiled a bit and watched eridan over the edge of his sunglasses with a curious gaze. "It'th called a midthummernight dream. Got'th vodka, two Ruthian alchoholth, and a thit ton of thtrawberrieth" he explained. Eridan nodded and looked to the pink drink in his hand again. "Well for once, it tastes amazin and I'm glad I let you choose my drink" he replied with a small hum in his throat.

"And what, pray tell, did you choose for yourself?" he asked, folding his fingers together and resting his dimpled chin upon them. Sollux blinked and looked at the amber liquid in his glass. "uhh....I think it'th called a 'headleth horthman?" he asked himself, head cocking to the side slightly as he took another sip and nodded "yea. think that'th what it'th called. But anywayth, we have a lot to talk about." Sollux cooed, resting his chin in the palm of one bony hand as the other reached out to carefully rub against Eridan's arm.

The Ampora arched a brow and watched the computer calloused fingers as they trailed over his pale skin. "Oh? and what would we need to talk about Sol? Did I do something wrong to one of your builds?" he asked, unfolding the well manicured fingers and moving them to hold his lovers. "Or....is it the fact that were moving in together?" he asked with a small smile, head tilting to the side.

Sollux couldnt help but snort softly and nod. "of courthe it'th the move Danny. Jutht think, we'll be in our own plathe. Cronuth can fuck off, Tuna wont be able to barge in on our cuddle thethionth......or....anything elthe" he teased with a wink that caused Eridan to blush dark. That inuendo had happened more than once to the duo and had ended in a very embarrassing conversation with Psiimon over what was not allowed in his house.......again.

"W-well....I still say that wasn't our fault. He should know not to barge into his big brother's room....Mituna is 13 now after all!" he huffed softly as Sollux just laughed and shook his head. "Yea yea yea. But you know my dad'th thuper protective of Tuna" he hummed, moving his hand to rub a thumb over Eridan's knuckles.

The conversation slowly trailed off between the two as they finished their drinks off, Eridan still being a lightweight even after Cronus and his military drinking habits dragged the younger along for the ride. Sollux wound up taking the keys away from his lover and hooking an arm around him in order to help walk the short distance to their taxi.

Time passed very differently for them during times like this, soft kisses and gentle touches that had them both calm and comforted as they fell asleep in one another's arms. They were still tangled up with one another, light dancing across sleeping limbs when they're woken up by a hyperactive little brother. Mituna was more than excited to see Eridan again, almost pulling the Ampora from his still sleeping lovers arms in an attempt to get someone to play a video game with him.

Sollux wound up being woken up and games played as breakfast was made and plated. Eridan couldn't help but think of how cute it would be to have their own little family like this. He sat his chin on a palm and watched the two brothers bicker over the fact that Mituna did not, in fact, need half a bottle of syrup for his stack of 5 pancakes with a smile on his face. "You two are so cute together like that you know?" he mentioned softly, a loving look on his features that had Sollux blushing a bit and Mituna puffing up his cheeks with a defiant little 'nuh uh!'.

Eridan laughed softly and shook his head. "Sorry. I guess I'm just holding on to that old dream of having a family. Deffinately something we dont need right now," he cooed, looking up to Sollux who rubbed the back of his head nervously. "heh....uh...yea Danny.....That'th thomething that can wait a few yearth to make thure were actually ready" he agreed softly, both of the older boys jumping when something shattered over near the sink.

Mituna was standing there, hands over his mouth, eyes wide, and one of Sollux's favorite mugs in pieces on the floor. The poor boy looked like he was about to burst into tears when Sollux knelt down to pick up the largest piece with a sigh. "well....tho much for that one" he muttered, head shaking a bit.

"I-I'm th-th-thorry Th-Thollux!" Mituna sobbed softly, backing away against the cabinet as Sollux frowned. " Woah woah, hey.....Tuna no come on. Let it go. Thith broke, jutht let it be. It'th no ithue tho jutht keep being happy little you and I'll be normal grumpy me. It'th jutht a mug, and like everything elthe that breakth, we'll leave it to the beeth." he stated with a smile, collecting the broken shards before stacking it in a pile and sitting it in a bin dubbed 'for bee houses'.

"thee? Nothing wrong. They'll love that blue color" he continued, Mituna nodding along with the fear of broken glass long behind him."Yea! I'll be me and you be you! We can make bee houtheth later!" he rattled off, the older boys easily falling in behind his enthusiasm for the day.

Time passed quickly, the apartment being gotten and their shared world slowly coming together. But things seemed to sour at the drop of a hat once Sollux started doing computer repairs from home more and more. Things seemed to jump back and forth from throwing clothes on the floor at the end of the night, to slamming doors and the two of them sleeping in separate rooms almost nightly.

Sollux had brought home something from his dad's house, just trying to bring some home cooking back into their lives and give a bit of color to the drab grey things had gotten to. Of course, shit hit the fan pretty quickly when the wrong things were said and a fight ensued. in the end, they were sitting at different ends of the dining table so they could eat. Eridan had his head in his hands and Sollux had his nose in his phone to try and just keep his mind off the fight they just had.

Eridan spoke up first, voice shaky as he tried to keep from crying. "Sollux.....if this is it...if these fights are all we're living for......why do we insist on doing this anymore?" he asked softly, sniffling lightly as he turned his eyes up to his lover. "I used to recognize myself but now I feel like I'm just a husk of who I used to be" he continued, jumping a bit when Sollux pushed his chair back with a snarl.

"Well it'th funny how our reflectionth fucking changed now ithnt it? Thinthe we're becoming thomething elthe, I'll jutht leave you here for a while." he growled, storming off to the room. Eridan moved in after him, watching the thin bee lover packing a backpack with tear filled eyes. "S-Sollux.....No come on.....I-I didn't mean it like that, please just let it go!" he begged softly.

"No Eridan!" Sollux snapped, turning to the other with a snarl. "Jutht let it be. You can thtay here and be you. I'm going home, thpending time with tuna, and I'll be me. Everything here ith fuckin broke tho leave it to the beeth alright?! " he snapped, slamming the door to the apartment after pushing his way past his lover and out into the hallway.

By the time he made his way to the lobby the storm outside had finally come to a head, rain pouring down and making it quite hard to see even if you had headlights on. Sollux stood in the lobby for a moment, pausing himself to just think about the situation for a few moments before he heard Eridan's voice call out from the elevator. "I'm not fucking dealing with thith!" he growled to himself, glaring back at Eridan as he pushed through the doors and out into the pelting rain.

Things happened too quickly to really realize what transpired, A bike rider rushing by, a driver going too fast on a slick road, and the crunch of bone and glass before everything just froze around Eridan. Sollux was laying in the middle of the road, a terrified teen getting out of her car with a terrified scream as the rain started to soak her and the male she hit through to the bone. Eridan's blood ran ice cold as he shook his head and ran out into the storm screaming Sollux's name. trying to get some form of reaction from his lover.

"He's not going to wake up for quite a while Mr. Ampora. Please, make yourself comfortable and dont touch any of the wiring near him. " the doctor stated softly, patting Eridan's shoulder with a broad, gentle hand. The smaller male nodded, puffy red eyes locked on the sleeping form of his one and only.

He waited for the doctor to leave him alone to move over and sit next to Sollux's bed with a sniffle. His hand reached out to carefully settle into Sol's, a sob escaping him as his normally warm fingers felt ice cold against the Ampora's.

"This feels so wrong Sol....y-your way too cold" he whispered aloud, tears already welling in his eyes and falling over his cheeks. "God.....There's no force on earth that could make this feel right......" he whimpered, laying his head down on the white sheets of the bed and squeezing Sol's fingers tightly.

"C-come on.......Just....I'm letting the fight go. You're right a-and I'm not being responsible enough with what I've been spending lately...W-we've been pushing this problem uphill and not taking a chance to really.....really talk it through" he whimpered softly, mostly just rambling on to himself in the silence. "I guess it just.....got too heavy to hold tonight and look at what we let happen.....what I let happen" he whispered to himself, head lifting so he could see his lovers face as a tear fell down his cheek. "I think it's time to let our words slide......please....forgive me"

A few months after the wreck, Eridan was settled in his old room, snuggled up next to Sollux as they looked through a thick picture book. "Oh, remember when we went to Alternia beach? That was the best date I think we've ever had" he said, both boys laughing a bit. "Yea....It wath a fun date...Thtill think we thould have left Tuna at home for that one though. We could have gone through and done the turtle thnorkling" Sol purred at his little lover as he stretched out and closed the book.

Cronus came by the room and knocked on the frame of the open door, offering a small smile. "Hey Danny-boy.....Feel like going up to Star Touch Point with me tonight? We can go watch the star shower together like old times....you can even bring Sollux if you want" he offered, the look on his face growing even sadder as Eridan looked up at Sol with a smile. "Yea.....We would love to come watch the shower with you Cro....I'll grab my bag and shoes and we'll meet you out there!" he chirped, sitting up and stretching before reaching over to grab his shoes and socks.

They all piled into Cronus's old pickup, the military boy making sure things were tuned up before the drive to their secluded 'brother zone' as they had called it in their youth. They made it right around nightfall and the two younger boys were quick to abandon Cronus at the car to run up to the top of the hill with cheerful laughter. Cro just shook his head with a soft chuckle and let them go ahead

Time seemed to stand still once they made it up overlooking the town in the distance. Sollux smiled and moved over in front of Eridan before waving his hand to the bag. "Tho ED......you ready to let it go?" he asked softly, Eridan's smile faltering a bit "I-I dont know what you mean Sol....Let what go?" he questioned, Sol shaking his head. "Come on ED....Danny.....jutht....let it be"

Eridan started shaking his head a bit "N-no....Sollux I.....Please dont make me do this" he begged softly, Sollux just smiling sadly and tilting his head to the side. "Why not tonight?.....It'th our anniverthary after all. Why don't you be you for tonight. I'll be me jutht like old timeth" He offered, taking a few steps backwards. "Everything broke Danny....."

"NO! Sollux please don't make me do this! Please y-you made it out of the hospital, y-youve been weak but you made it.....please!" he whimpered, head shaking as tears started welling in his eyes. "Eridan pleathe....leave it to the beeth for a while....let them take your worrieth and tearth" Sollux whispered softly, Eridan letting his hand reach down into his courier bag to pull out a silver and gold container.

It was a pretty little thing, Bees etched into the metal and accentuated with gold leaf over the silver of the body and Sollux's name etched into the base gorgeously. "No.....please....I'm not ready to let you go" Eridan whispered, turning his eyes out over the cliffed edge of the hill that separated him from where Sollux was floating over thin air. "Eridan...Let my atheth fall here.....You've held on for tho long....."

"Sollux.....I dont want to let you go! I love you....Please just.....J-Just come back please!" Eridan begged, soft sobs wracking his chest as Sollux shook his head. "No Eridan.....You need to forget m-" He was cut off by Eridans loud sob "NO! NO NO NO.....no....."

"Come on Danny.....don't make thith harder on yourthelf. Let me go.....Jutht....Let me be" he continued, slowly stepping forward to kneel where Eridan had fallen to his knees, clutching the urn to his chest. "Why don't you go live your life.....Go be you.....and I can be me" Sol whispered, Eridan not looking at him anymore as he carefully opened the locked top to the urn and pulled a bit of ash out to cradle in his hand.

As he carefully let the ash sift through his fingers Sollux smiled again, leaning over and hugging his love tightly. "Thank you Eridan......I love you......Thank you for setting me free" he whispered, pulling back and pressing a soft kiss to Eridan's forehead for a final lingering bit of warmth on the Ampora's skin as he faded away in the soft breeze that carried his ashes down over a large field of flowers.

Cronus waited a bit longer after hearing Eridan stop screaming no before moving up to kneel beside his little brother and rest a large hand over the smaller boy's back. "hey.....He's still here.....look, he even sent a little friend to say hello" he offered, a small bee buzzing softly as it landed on Eridan's hand for just a fleeting moment before continuing off towards its hive for the night.

For the first time in four months, Eridan didn't feel that deep stab of guilt in his heart. Instead he felt the light breeze around him, the warmth of his brother's hand, and more importantly, the soft kiss of the night as the first of the stars began to shoot through the night sky.

Thoughts and questions (remix) on Friendsim Volume 10.

Tegiri:

-Tegiri is so fucking dramatic and personally I love it. // His new Troll Call bulletpoints tone down the assorted internet references and reinforce that he kinda sucks with a sword and is conflicted re: Alternian law vs not really wanting to kill people; they also give him another pinch of weeb points.

-Does he have (a replica of) Marquise Fucking Mindfang’s sword??? and while we’re on the topic of ancestors, was that a fucking Signless manga?????

-Tadashi Inu joins the list of Extremely Good Lusii

-Looks like the rebellion is growing by the moment! Meanwhile, Tegiri himself definitely has some doubts about murdering people because the law says so, and seems to be aware of it? (the whole “pull of the light vs path of darkness” thing in his good end) // also like i'm reasonably sure that the “dont murder ppl” thing was the path of darkness??? and he's literally voidbound And a derse dreamer??? in case i messed up and it was the “pull of the light”... he Is shown with closed eyes most of the time, even though it's because of sharingan contacts reasons, but he’ll have to see the light eventually.

-In the process of connecting all these dots I remembered that classpects didn't really play a role in the writing of the Friendsim routes and that put me out a little but regardless, he's probably going to have to choose between following what Alternia says is right vs what his conscience says is right, and I think he'd probably choose the latter, be it because dersies have more rebel vibes or because the consequences for choosing the former were unacceptable (ie: the whole Polypa should have been culled because her lusus died thing)

-Also looks like all teals have some kind of Law Thing. Tirona’s got the whole tattleterror thing, so Stelsa’s the only one that might be an exception now.

-Things that exist on Alternia: Fullmetal Alchemist, Boku no Hero Academia, Fate:Stay Night, Overwatch, Megaman, One Piece (one of Tegiri’s figurines resembles Luffy), Sugoi Quest for Kokoro, Naruto and who knows how many more that I’ve missed.

-Regarding that list and what I’ve seen on my dash, as far as we know Tegiri has good taste in anime.

-About Tegiri’s troll sharingan contacts: either cosplaying as a different (higher only?) caste IS illegal, or it’s not but Tegiri always has his eyes closed anyways because he’s Just That Extra. Considering he wants to stick to the rules, I think it might be the second. Also, the troll Uchiha family are seadwellers confirmed.

-Polypa’s also an anime fan!! And the protagonist’s still her moirail… wonder what might come of this in Act 2?

-An aside: Tegiri thinks he’ll have to kill Polypa eventually (yeah, good luck with that) because she doesn’t have a lusus, so either she’s above the culling age for that but he thinks he has to right his “wrong” (saving her life), or she’s not and Diemen is very lucky he hasn’t had any close friends before the main character.

Zebede:

-Zebede’s got the protagonist’s yearn for Friendship up to eleven, and then up to eleven again. What he doesn’t seem to have is the emotional maturity required to not guilt-trip the fuck out of people.

-Regarding this, my theories are: the friends he has are assholes, and/or they live literally in the opposite side of the planet.

-On psionics: the owner of the anime shop’s eyes were both pink and they seemed to have weak psionics; maybe only the strongest ones get two-toned eyes? Taking Cirava into account, probably only the most powerful of these can become helmsmen… Meanwhile, Zebede confirms that 1: not all golds are psionics and 2: golds (and presumably other potential psychics like burgundys or bronzes) can have other powers, such as animal communion!!!

-Bee communion sure seems like a convenient power for a beekeeper. Perhaps the trolls who have this power become beekeepers, in the same way that jades become carers of grubs and strong psionics become batteries. Now I have to wonder if Sollux had it too… (the 2nap) // Wow Sollux why does your lusus let you have two sets of powers??

-Who was expecting Zebede to write RPF? I wasn’t!

-please please please tell me he did not send that fic to Cirava…

-Speaking about Cirava, they’ve been looking for us on the internet since we left their hive. They also retwitted our post!

so since sollux found out about the whole “end of the world” thing that they cannot save, he got triggered enough to the point where he told terezi and karkat that the game was cancelled. ironically, a convo before, he had talked about how he was gonna die anyways. so tbh im not really sure whats going on there, lots of mixed feelings on the matter, BUT what i do know, is that karkat (for a solid few paragraphs) ignored what sollux had to say so he could brag about being the leader and succeeding in winning over terezi and just overall having that tantrum for the 10th time in this comic

ohohohoh! guys! we also had this weiiiiiiiird page where the game basically acted as if we were playing as someone else entirely, someone that wasn’t sollux since they seemed to be talking TO sollux, or rather about. either this could be the gods of the other realm (those that AA and sollux have been hearing/talking to) which .. in itself is spooky. especially because its still using the “you” because it used “our” at some point. which implies its at least someone out there.

Updates so far!:

- paradox slime frogs now spawn a random frog when given a catalyst. They have a lower chance to spawn a rare one. The paradox slime frogs spawn naturally in random areas and you need to search to find them. You can generally run up to them and pick them up, but you can also trap them like rabbits.

- trying out a new way of breeding frogs. It’s essentially the same as using the science machine, but now there’s a more random outcome. Eventually I’ll work on the numbers to make it more balanced, but for now the basis is there :)

- each character starts off with some grist in their inventory. Might give it a boost, but I haven’t actually played yet to see how balanced it is.

- more monsters give grist, and the bosses have a nice payout.

- Rose’s sprite is finished! Need to work on perks. I was thinking about making her lose less sanity at night and no sanity drain around monsters/terrors.

- consorts are pretty much finished. They do “skate” in their animations, but it’s not that much of a concern for me right now. May update them down the line after everything else is done.

- consorts don’t spawn naturally in the wild anymore, but I’ll probably change that and add in a configuration option that allows people to choose how they want their worlds to generate. I have them attached to eggs currently that take the catalyst to “hatch” (they aren’t like tall bird eggs - the consorts just pop into existence.) There’s an equal chance for any of the consorts to spawn from the egg.

- the consorts spawn in with names. Each one picks from a randomly generated list I made of randomly generated names. The Salamanders pick from two lists: one from randomly generated names, and the other list is a bunch of Nic Cage roles. You can murder them in your inventory, and I don’t know if there’s a way to change that. I may make them invincible like Mutini, but also trying to think of an effective way to “clean up” inventory/space if you will. No other character can pick the consorts up. This doesn’t stop them from being murdered by other characters with weapons, though.

- consorts drop trinkets when killed. Probably won’t make it beneficial to kill them, so not making them drop meat or anything.

- to befriend a consort, you have to give it a food item. Each consort takes a different food, and they’ll only accept it from their respective kid. Also the crocodiles have a NAK animation that they do randomly when standing still for a while.

- world generation needs to be changed. Ignore the amount of eggs and frogs around. Will be brought way down.

- Vodka Mutini is added in. You take Jaspers and pour a bottle of catalyst on him. Mutini takes a fish to befriend. I wanted to make Mutini adoptable as a critter, but then it conflicted with the inventory item code. This way Mutini doesn’t always have to follow Rose around constantly. Trying to make the best compromise for all these items and different people’s play styles. Only Rose can pick Mutini up.

- neither Mutini nor the consorts do anything but follow you around. I may make the consorts drop trinkets/other item periodically, but nothing too game breaking.

- bunch of code clean up, so things are pulled more accordingly now :)

- that’s it for now! I’d say I’m about half done with what I want to accomplish. Sprite work next, weapons, vanilla recipe changes to include grist/frogs, sollux’s bee box, character specific perks, and more character specific flavor text, as well as general balancing. And eventually the dialogue. But I’ll release the mod before I work on that.

I’m excited to release this, though! I’m super proud with how everything is turning out :D

Hiveswap and Homestuck Theory Thing. Spoiler warning for Homestuck just in case, I guess.

Ok, so I decided to try a hand at this stuff. It's gonna be about Marvus (eventually) (yeah, I know, so original).

Ok, so, I've seen a lot of stuff pertaining to this, so I've compiled what I found all over the internet and put together my theories on it, mostly relying on weapon types. (I'm sorry, I don't remember where I found the original material for the time players)

Time players use weapons that are both obviously weapons and practical for the players to use. For example, Dave uses big swords he can adjust the weight of by making it broken in half or full, Aradia originally had a whip, which are very quick and lightweight and surprisingly practical weapons (as surprisingly accurately shown by Indiana Jones), and Caliborn had a straight up semiautomatic rifle that he makes sure everyone knows he has. They also all pertain to the weapons we see heros holding (knight in shining armor wielding a sword, Indiana Jones and his whip, any action movie hero and his gun).

Breath players, as I can guess, use weapons that used to be conventional in medieval entertainment (large hammers for sparring and lances for jousting) that are no longer seen as practical and/or conventional, and generally require a large amount of strength and skill to properly use without an exterior force or an actual technique giving aid, such as John swinging his giant hammer without having to swing it over his head first to build up momentum, and Tavros being able to use the momentum from his running to be able to use his lance without having to be on a horse. From what I can presume, they mostly use medieval style weapons adjusted to whatever they think makes them better.

There isn't really much of a case for doom players since there's only really the one I can draw conclusions from, but I assume that based solely on Sollux, doom players rely more on weapons or abilities they have confidence in, regardless of reliability. Sollux has had multiple instances in which his psionics have resulted in problems, such as whenever he consumes mind honey he shoots powerful lasers from his eyes that he can't control, and he has accidentally destroyed one of his specibus cards and his bee hives when he overshot shuriken while trying to re-capchalogue them using his psionics. I only have one example person to draw from, so this may not be quite accurate.

Blood players have the same problem with there only being the one person of said aspect as I had with doom, but I'm still going to pull what I can assume. I believe blood players attempt to use weapons they are confident in, though end up also accidentally weaponizing their environment through lack of skill and/or forethought. For example, Karkat's old capchalogue modus was large, heavy, impractical, and almost crushed his lusus, and he had run Sollux's virus program on his computer that resulted in a huge explosion that killed his lusus. I only have one example person to draw from, so this may not be quite accurate.

Heart players, from what I can guess, use weapons that are more favored or have sentimental value, and hardly (if ever) improve or replace them. Even if they do get better versions of the weapon, they'll stick with the original since it holds more sentimental value than the replacement. Plus, it may also have something to do with the quickness of the weapon, such as it being thin and lightweight as well as very sharp For example, Dirk sticks with his katana even as an adult, especially since he finds it quick and reliable to use, and Nepeta sticks with her original claw gloves through the entire game, likely for both ease and sentimental value.

Space players, I believe, have weapons that are surprising. For example, Jade is a witch who you expect to use magic to defend herself and she just. Pulls out a gun. And Kanaya is EXTREMELY surprising, since her tube of lipstick turns into a CHAINSAW, the latter of which completely clashes with her main aesthetic and is completely unexpected. Now, you may think Calliope is the outlier. But wouldn't you be surprised to see her go "oh shoot my wand is out of ammo" and then turn her wand into a gun, load it, then turn it back into a wand and shoot magic at you? Trick question the answer is yes.

Mind is another with only one possible area I could draw from. Based on only Terezi, I assume mind players are more likely to use hidden weapons you wouldn't think to worry about until they're actually attacking you. I say this because no matter what Terezi turns her cane into, she always makes sure it can still be functional (and hidden) as a walking cane. You wouldn't expect the cane to be able to turn into nunchucks, or swords, you'd at most expect her to beat you over the head with it. I only have one example person to draw from, so this may not be quite accurate.

Light players, I believe, use weaponized versions of important aspects to their preferred interests. For example, Vriska uses what are basically FLARPing dice to get weapons or power ups of some kind, and Rose uses knitting needles turned into a pair of magic wands.

Void players improvise in the moment, usually using their own natural (or unnatural) abilities if their own weapons are unusable in their traditional sense. For example, Roxy chucking literally anything at things to kill enemies, and Equius beating enemies with the two halves of his bow or just punching them into oblivion.

Rage is another problematic single-source one, but I'll still try. From what I can assume, rage players use whatever's closest to them that could be used as a weapon. Gamzee's juggling clubs were right there for him to juggle at the beginning, so of course just shrugging and picking those up to bludgeon things to death would make sense in this case. This also explains why he eventually got a strife specibus that allowed him to use any weapon, allowing him to just pick up whatever and use it for killing. Equius had left a lot of his bows around, both broken and unbroken, so it would still make sense for Gamzee to just pick up the nearest one and use that. And when fighting Terezi, he pulled the nearest weapons (Terezi's staff swords) away from her and used them to fight. He probably would have picked up a rock if there weren't any weapons in his reach. I only have one example person to draw from, so this may not be quite accurate.

For hope, I only have one thing to say: coolness factor. Eridan had a gun that straight-up shot LASERS, which he only gave up in favor of a REAL-ASS WAND, which he still claimed to basically be a science stick. Even if it was less effective than the gun, he still traded it in for coolness factor. Now, Jake was obviously a fan of movies, which meant that he would have a lot of experience with action movie heros, in which the coolest thing you could do is do cool stunts while firing a matching pair of pistols. And what does he do? Cool stunts while firing a matching pair of pistols. I rest my case.

Life may have a bit of a bias, since Feferi and Meenah had tridents because of their royal status and Jane had a trident because the post-scratch version of Meenah affected Jane's main weapon to be, well, a trident. We don't really have any other ideas of what different kinds of weapons they could use, so let's just say they use tridents and call it a day.

Now, to the point you've all been waiting for: Marvus.

Marvus Xoloto's revealed purple sign has the aspect of time, which honestly doesn't match up with his weapon choice.

His weapon, a sword, is hidden in his cane. You know what other aspect has had someone who uses a weapon hidden in plain sight? Mind. Xoloto shares a lot of similarities with the word axolotl, and there is one lime sign that is the shape of an axolotl's head.

And it's mind. And to be constrained means to be limited or restricted. And Marvus has a camera crew following him everywhere, making it impossible for him to really speak his mind.

My conclusion?

The theory everybody knows by now of Marvus being a lime blood in disguise.

Added bonus: despite him getting injured in one of the bad endings, we never actually get a confirmation of his blood color. He hides it way too well. Me still thinks he bleed the green stuff.

I know I'm super late to the game on this, but I still wanted to add my theories for the funsies.

crocker corp arg day 14 & 15 recap!!! These are kinda long ones so im gonna put them under a read more :)

DAY 14

((sollux i love u even tho u only talk at 1am for me ily and im glad u liked our tea party  )). He can still read all of the channels in this server but is being polite and only talks in his and usually only answers the questions we ask in his channel, unless they're urgent, funny, or just seem to stick out otherwise. 

 Sollux is still kinda adament about remaining stuck in his position; he fears anything he does ends in death (we get it, you're a doom player). Dirk is still the same. Sollux visits him often because the AGT chamber is a pretty secluded area, and his coworkers are. . . annoying. Dirk proves better company. He can't tell us what Dirk's powers are being used for. 

 Concerning their own god tier powers, Sollux tells Daven't that "if we decide that you would be a good candidate we will be in contact". They know all of our classpects, not just 16. Sollux knows them because he has access to confidential information that only Condy has. 

 He deflected talking about the current AI or Felix by questioning why we love him. ((sucks to suck dude we genuinely like you.)) Apparently there used to be a worker named M who we would have really liked, but he's essentially dead now. Something happened to Mituna- he fucked up and isn't there anymore. Sollux constantly reminds himself that what happened to Mituna could happen to him.

 Sollux gave Felix leniency because he is pretty young maturity and brain development-wise. Felix is a brain copy of a troll, just the same as the current AI. He was really surprised to hear how Felix is doing now, and thinks it's amazing that he can comprehend emotions and love!!! Sollux will contact Felix and ask us to let him talk to other people when he's ready. 

 Sollux doesn't remember the outside world or his past. He knows CC merged human and troll society. He won't look at Jane's file, only knows that she's powerful and important. He won't look at his own file for fear that another IT guy will see him or it'll be a trap.

Although he can't remember much, we can remind him of the things that he loves. Like his lusus, the mind honey, and bees! Bees are soft and he loves them! Bees are an animal! Sollux has a friend who is always talking about animals!!! Tavros went into his office once to try to get information about Tinkerbull, which was blacklisted for him. Sollux is gonna show him bees :) 

Sollux isn't allowed to use his psiioniics unless there's a life-threatening corporate attack. He's not really aware of how caught-up in the timeloop he is, but he doesn't remember having that conversation before. That could be a good thing. Sollux stopped by again last night! Here's the news: 

 Sollux showed Tavros bees and he loved them!!! 

We can now trade mun embarassing videos for discords, so we've gotten tavros's discord! I don't believe he's responded to anyone yet, but it's there. 

Sollux loves bees. He also likes cats!!! We showed him pictures of our cats and he said they were cute and their purring is cute and cuddling is awesome.

 Sollux let us ask about troll biology!!!!! Trolls have naturally sharp nails on hands and feet that are a darkish orange (the same color as the tips of the horns) They also have fangs, with seadwellers having the sharpest. Height isn't correlated to blood color, sollux is just Really Tall, but physical strength is correlated to blood color, though sollux can Lift.  Body temperature is also dictated by blood color- lowbloods are very Warm. 

 Now for society: mutations used to be culled but now they're discriminated. These can include physical deformation, too many/not enough horns/eyes/limbs, and certain blood types (for example candy red or a mutated bronze with psiioniic powers) . These stopped being cullable offenses after integration with human society. 

 Vriska makes fun of Tavros for his stutter. Highbloods give Karkat shit about his blood. Sollux doesn't really know Karkat, just knows that he works in filing. Kankri got demoted for talking too much. 

 The ai's are made of brain scans just so that there's less opportunities for coding era and it's easily reset. It's also a punishment for some trolls, where they are completely rewired, cloned, and made digital. Both Finn and Felix are likely reversed scans of Mituna- this explains why Felix's god tier is a Witch of Life, the reverse of Mituna's Heir of Doom. 

 Wiped memories are kept in the database. They can be retrieved and returned.

We have a lil more information on seadwellers from yesterday. Apparently CC has two sectors that are completely underwater. Seadwellers use waterproof laptops, which are "like the laptops everyone else uses, but wet." Condy most likely has two offices, one above and one below the water.

lotta new discords today!!!!! We can now talk to Tavros, Nepeta, Vriska, Terezi, Feferi, and Jake. thanks to everyone who subjected themselves to public humiliation for this   

 While most of the characters havent been online yet, Tavros talked to a few of us earlier!!! He's extremely sweet. As far as information goes, there were a few new discoveries.

 Tavros is very kind and trusting, he trusted me enough pretty much right away to tell me about Sollux showing him bees, which he had been told not to share. He even blocked Ardent pretty much automatically when Isi told him to. 

 Sollux refers to Tavros strictly by his ID, even though we know that he knows his name. Tavros says Sollux just does it to be respectful. They are good friends, and Sollux told Tavros about bees!!! 

 Humans are ranked higher than bronzebloods within the CC heirarchy; they hold roughly the same rank as jadebloods. 

 Terezi tends to take the heirarchy pretty seriously, and seems suspicious of how we managed to contact her. She works in paperwork (writing and filling it in), and draws with sharpies in her spare time. She likes the other tealbloods she works with and also likes the janitors, especially Kanaya. 

The tiaras almost absolutely have some type of healing/sustaining power- Tavros's legs were broken, but they magically healed.

 It seems that Dave, Rosaline, and Rose still have yet to return. 

Lastly, daven’t and i are now official invitees of the tour, as a few members of the og16 elected to step down.

Since I didn't see anyone ask about the homestuck au I feel obligated to ask as a fellow Homestuck (insert Homestuck police image (you know the one) here)

Oh fuck oh no the homestuck au oh shit

 There’s not much content here, I just organized them on classpects I thought they’d fit and put some of them as trolls (Also, alternia here is quite different from canon) 

 I think the most fun on this au is explaing my process to thinking why I decided what I did, so this is gonna be a quite repetitive and long post, sorry y’all

Kids:

Evan: Witch of Breath, his aspect basically because he has the leader role but it’s not something he takes control himself, it’s about the freedom he seeks and then incentivating others to join him, I chose the class of the witch since it’s the active change class, wich means he changes the aspect/changes through for himself, let’s think about games for me to explain you- he hates games where he has to do something like it tells him to, and love the games where he can use his liberty to have fun in whatever way he finds. I also have him as a prospit dreamer for reasons that I don’t really want to explain since it’ll get so repetitive, you guys getting the moons I say so >:)!

Tyler: Actually a Rogue of Time. I can’t lie I really wanted a timeplayer on the kids side, but I think I got a good thinking here, stay with me- The fighting aspect, the fact they don’t accept things as they are and act to change instead of just waiting things happen, the impatience- I quote the extended zodiac definition of time players: “You can’t tell them to sit still and look pretty”, plus, the rogue part of his title, the passive stealing class, someone who steal the from/through the aspect for others. A rogue can be generous and receptive, with strong ideals, on the worst cases they can bee too impulsive and apathetic. I’m not like 100% sure but I needed him as a time player and this classpect with him as a derse dreamer fit so well on how I expect him to be in this au, looking really self-centered and yet doing all he does for others instead of himself!

Nogla: Green boy is our Knight of Space! I mean... With Tyler’s description you might expect him to be te opposite, as a space player his job is to not worry about where things go, and pretty much enjoy the ride! He does understand that he needs to do things so they go the way you want to, he just don’t usually worry about it that much, he worries more about how he’s doing something than what he’s doing, and that gets him to the creative aspect, wich is why he, as a space player, is the one with the mission to creat the new universe! But that’s not all, he’s a knight!! The passive serving class are known to have a mask that’s supposed to make their friends trust them more than they trust themselves, Nogla’s is that he acts way more positive and stupid than he actually is so people around him believe him to be trustworthy, it also makes him feel safer around people that he trust are not using him. Sometimes the mask has a different effect and people thinks he’s annoying tho. But the thing with knghts are that they want to be there to help his friends, always, so he ends up being way too selfless and, well, as Tyler says: Actually stupid. He’s also a prospit dreamer, he’s just baby I love him.

Our last kid is Marcel!! He’s a Seer of Rage! His aspect comes from his chaotic side, as a rage player, he believes that society is full of lies, and there’s nothing he hates more than someone not telling the truth to him, he wants to know what’s actually happening so he can act on his passive knowledge class of seer, someone that looks to know more so he can be able to help their colleagues by acting his advices himself, he can get easily frustated when things don’t go the way he wants them to, and in the worst case can get upset enough to become agressive, as a derse dreamer he gets even more chaotic and easily frustaded. Besides, both his dream pajamas and his god tier pajamas are purple and he looks amazing in the color ;)

Trolls:

Now we go for the alliens, the descriptions will get even longer since I have to tell what’s their blood is, I won’t be explaining aspects and classes that are showing up again on this case, but if you want a more especific analysis from me in one of the boys just send me another ask!

Cartoonz: Rust blood- Adventurous, craving for new experiences far from home and often not cautious enough when agitated? Well, that makes me feel less bad about choosing his blood on the color red lol. Jk, I mean, his blood I chose on color, but I also believe that he’d do a great alternian lowblood rebel! And as a derse dreamer Prince of Time? Well, the aspect you get what I mean from Tyler description, but boy, the active destruction class does fit him in the way I wanted, he can get way too confident on his habilities, with motive of course! He’s capable of incredible things!!! But his confidence can make him impose himself on others as authority, his ideals are important for him and he’s difficult to change his mind, he does what he deems right while still showing how much he cares for the little things around him. He’s someone trustwothy and a incredible good leader besides not being in the relationships side of aspects! Plus, what’s better than get our infamous King Toonz as the prince in the game?

Squirrel: I mean... Bronze blood?? Obviously?? Warm and generous?? Slow to open without having someone else besides them?? Open hearted?? Afinity to animals??? Needy of attention and affection?? Polite when upset?? Basically babies??????? Yup! Plus, once again the color guided me this way-- But anyway! He’s a (oh my god I forgot I put him as this but fuck yeah) Thief of Doom! Doom y’all know as the bad aspect about death and shit but listen to me! The extended zodiac explains that doom players tend to be sufferers, that through their difficulties became wise and empathetic of others surffering, not the advice friend, but the friend that can confort, we’re talking about our sweet Dead Squirrel here my guys! And then I got this idea of putting him as a thief and oh my gosh I hate thieves but I loved this idea so much I kinda want use it in a homestuck rpg I do with some friends! The thieve is the active stealing class, wich means he does what a rogue does, but for themselves, while rogues give away what they steal for others, thieves keep it for themselves, it’s normally interpretated as egoist and that’s why I hate them, but being the boy we’re talking about, even if Squirrel steals the doom aspect to keep it for himself, he does it in a selfless act of trying to protect his friends from it, you can interpretate him as a knight kind of person here but I’ll stay with a derse dreamer Thief of Doom!

Smiity is our gold blood and it’s not because of the vibes he and Sollux share with red an blue glasses yOU SHUT UP! But for real, yellow trolls have the whole psych thing but what I ended up loving about putting Smiit as one is the facts that, they like to talk even if the people around the don’t wanna hear, they tend to accidentaly force their opinions in other people and if the person feels sorry about it all they can get axious easily about their actions, but still do it because it’s themselves, and I love to take this as Smiit’s careless way to act combined with his canadian way to be nice and I love it! He’s a derse dreamer Rogue of Rage, I explained both before, so really basic: he straight up just spreads chaos.

Brian: He’s our mutant lime, our candy red blooded troll!! Decided on his decisions (”if i wanna do it i’ll do it fuck you”), he can be quite the drama queen, he exagerates his feelings since he can’t hide them, he’s has caring and empathetic instincts and he’s so goddamn loyal, Once again quoting the extended zodiac: “ Romance is extremely important to Lime Signs, and when they fall, they fall hard. They don't take rejection well, and a breakup can send them into a tailspin requiring an extended period of recovery.”. And he’s our sweet derse dreamer Knight of Breath! Another one who was already basically explained, his title makes him the one who wants to bring freedom to his friends. His mask is of a confident flirty while he himself is scared of not being what people expects him to be. Fuck I love this Irish handsome bitch.

Panda: He’s an olive blooded troll! They’re described to be generous and sweet, ready to help if someone needs, they’re not really good with changes but they’re the type to drop anything to get into helper mode. But oh damn, they’re not afraid of just getting up and going out if something is not as they like. He’s a prospit dreamer Seer of Life, seer was already kinda of explained, and I put him as life bounded because of their empathetic side and how I can see Anthony as a (sometimes moody) healer! I can’t lie that his was one of the last classpects that I thought of and I wanted to fit him as a Life player, if there are other suggetions I’d like to hear too!!

Moo: Well, jade bloods are basically the default moms right? I mean, this is supposed to be expected right? I mean, I can’t even quote the extended zodiac because I’d be just copying and pasting what’s written! I’ll gladly do so in another ask but for now just accept it. And if you think that being a jade blood is not mom enough, don’t worry, I got ya, he’s also a prospit dreamer Sylph of Blood. Sylphs are the passive creation class, creating the aspect / creating through the ascpec for others, they’re curious and can get intrusive when they get worried too much, they wanna know what’s wrong and they wanna help so bad, even when their help isn’t wanted, they’re gentle and the bringers of care for their groups, and holy this isn’t enough already? No, cause he’s our fucking blood player, the aspect of union and relationships, pretty much natural leaders that bring people together by becoming friends with every single person in the group and then forming the group. Y’all think he’s mom enough?

Ohm: I completely didn’t choose Ohm to be a teal blood because he gave me Terezi vibes just like Smiity shut up. He does a good teal! They’re social and can be really flirtatious even accidentaly, they got strong morals that may get them to commit mistakes and let them down easly, they trust people way too quikly, they’re often better alone but with the right companion they can do so much!! Plus, he’s a prospit dreamer Heir of Space! We already talked about space bounds so just let me tell you, the most known point in a heir is their innocence in a determined subject, It’s a thing that I personally can’t really explain tho, they’re the passive changing class, so they’re easily adaptable and open, they care a lot about what their impact may be in others so they may hide facts about themselves, they not only change themselves for others but they incentive others to change for better, they’re caring, friendly and understanding, in the worst case they can be way too easly manipulated.

Mini: Our ladd here is a blue blood! The blood color that’s described to be capable of causing the most good but also the worst harm. They’re nice to have around as friends, and can easly become one, they’re adaptable and people magnets, they vallue their friends, wich also means they can be hard to forget a fight and get easly moody towards people they once considered close. And he’s also a derse dreamer Bard Of Light! As a bard he’s the passive destruction class, they’re devoted and faithful, they can be easly offended by criticism towards what they think is right, possibly getting open minded if the critic is someone they’re devoted at, a close friend or partner, they’re helpful, willing and friendly, but can also be inflexible in cases. As a light player Mini can be described as willing to learn more about what’s interesting him at the moment, he’s a seeker and he sees rules as suggestions to what he should do. He’s also one that I chose last so if you have a suggention I’m open!

Scotty: The boy is our indigo blood! Friendly, cheerful, energetic and curious! He can be easly attracted to anything that gets his interest and that also means he loses said interest easly, he is stronger than he thinks he is and can be careless about himself and others around him, he’s one that need to have an eye on to make sure he’s fine, and of course the person need to be prepared for so much energy! As another one that I couldn’t easily decide and became one of the last ones I chose, he’s an prospit dreamer Maid of Mind. The active creation class is kind of a favourite of mine, but kind of hard for me to explain as well, what I can tell you about them is that they are born to a fate they don’t like, and once they envolve in the game they decide to do their own fate by expressing themselves on their creations or something, I’m not really sure but I love this class!! And being mind bounded means our fuckboy tries to be rational most of the time, often that means he overthinks a lot, he sees most if not all possibilities of a decision and he’ll think over them, he’s mostly a person that’s slow to act, but when he does he knows what he’s doing, so just do how he says!

Delirious: I’ll get people getting mad at me that I didn’t put him as either teal, blue or indigo blood, but for real can you really judge me to choose him to be a purple blood when they have the clown make up and creepy as hell aethetic? And plus, the fact their description says they’re hard to trust on others, they can be mysterious and are great at keeping secrets. They’re decided and hard to change minds, they often want to refuse to be helped even when they need, but after all, when they trust someone they become devoted, putting way too much trust on them. I mean, yeah?? And he’s also our prospit dreamer Page of Void. The active serving class is another one of my favourits, being the people full of potential, they compare themselves to other and then create an ideal of who they want to be in their mind, some persona they want to become with characterists they don’t see themselves having, their nature on believing they can be what they build on their minds show their innocence and kindness, they sometimes can shut themselves inside their personas and act like how they want to be and less how they are, at best, they’re caring, charming and big dreamers, while at worst they can be manipulative and selfish by forcing their persona on others. And with all that, Del is also void bounded, meaning he’s a great secret keeper! He’s attracted to mystery and the unknown is his best friend, while others want to find out what they don’t know, Del is convicted on doubting what’s said to be the truth, he can be easly described as intuitive!

I’m not really sure but I believe our violet blood will be Lui by being a Witch of Hope prospit player, I’m not gonna talk so much about why because I’m getting out of time sorry----

Last boy will be Kryoz as our fuchsia heir, derse dreamer and Mage of Heart, he’s one that I thought first in the au and I’d love to explain more, but once again I’m going out of time, you can ask me about him separetely if you want to!!
