The Clock--not to be confused with the tiresome Clock game I was complaining about earlier--involves building thirteen foundations (one for each card value) by alternating colors. The fun part is that they are arranged as a clock face (King in the center)!

Review: A very very simple little game, but way more fun than I expected, maybe because of the shape. This is a genuinely fun example of the decision-free type of game where you just have to not miss the right cards popping up. The article says every game should be winnable and indeed mine came out! I can picture playing this in a waiting room where one might be interrupted at any moment. It'd have to be a waiting room with plenty of table space, though.

my proudest moment is the fact I begged my mum to read the osemanverse… she finally gave in. So now she’s smashed radio silence and just finished iwbft about an hour ago- she comes up to me right after she finished it and goes

‘did you say the orange book’ (she doesn’t know the names just the colours) ‘is getting a sequel? I need to know what happens to the ark’

OK I finally found a second pack of cards, so it's time for Contradance/Cotillion (the same game with two different names)! I like actual contradance so hopefully I will like this solitaire game as well.

You have two packs, with the fives and sixes out of them laid out as foundations. You play the fives down (5-4-3-2-A-K) and the sixes up (6-7-8-9-10-J-Q) by suit so that if the game comes out, you end up with lines of paired kings and queens, as if they were lined up for a dance, which is cute.

My game didn't come out (you only get one redeal - I tested and would've won on a hypothetical second redeal), but I had a lot of fun anyway. It's another one of these zero-strategy simple builders, but it's complicated enough that watching out for playable cards gives your brain a reasonable amount to do, especially if you're playing while watching TV or something.

This is my favorite simple builder so far, I think!
