​Over the past decade Twilight has become an easy source for cheap ridicule. It has constantly been presented as what not to do when it comes to writing and storytelling. People have taken Twilight from something they love to a guilty pleasure, or a phase they had in their teenage years. And yet somehow all this so-called criticism or flaws in the story did not stop it from becoming a sensation when it came out.

​First and far most by no means The Twilight Saga is a masterpiece of literature but at the same time it is not nearly as bad as people think it is. I’m not saying Twilight should not be criticized at all, I’m saying most of the criticism it received is unfair. Twilight has some very problematic elements, and I’m neither denying them nor saying it’s okay to have them. I’m saying Twilight goes beyond those things, it’s bigger than its flaws.

The biggest thing Twilight suffers from is being classified into wrong genre. Most people think Twilight is horror or fantasy, or low fantasy or action, or adventure, or mystery or suspense for some reason, it is none of that. Twilight is simply Paranormal Romance. Before Twilight came into the picture, this sub-genre of fantasy didn’t exist. Or if it did it was not nearly as big. Twilight popularized the trend of these type of Vampire Romance novels. Most people who criticize Twilight has a problem with the genre as a whole, and not just this particular work of fiction.

waiting for me to peep and take a glance at you

i'm tired of seeing people looking at me with full of sympathy

i'm tired of hearing other people voice saying that i can't be the luna that i want to be

because sol already found his luna

but mother

i know that even sol found his luna

i can still fulfill my other wish

my wish to become luna

the luna who will give light to other people path as they walk towards their dream

My beloved Sol, 

Where are you in this inglorious hour? I badly seek and need the warmth that you give. I’ve been in the dark recently, waiting for your light. It’s cold here and very chilly  how I wish you could be here with me. Fall is about to end, winter is coming  nights will be longer, but I’m used to it; any hour without you feels like a lifetime of sheer coldness. 

I thought I can last long without you  you give me life  I am nothing without you. Although, I’m afraid you’re giving too much light, I can feel that being around you, while being at this phase, drains you and sometimes pushes you to your breaking point. I know I’ve been selfish for always needing you  your light  I should’ve known that the Sun sets and rest too. I’m sorry for being more of a blackhole than a Luna. We are Sol Y Luna, I should’ve radiated the light that you gave me when you needed it. But, I failed, I just let the light  your light  fade in this phase of my life. 

Now, I’m afraid I have to leave you, for I’m no longer your Luna but, I’m just a black hole that sucks everything into oblivion. Let me go, I don’t want to hurt you further; let me go, for it is what’s right; let me go, I’ll be back soon. 

I love you always in all ways.

​The show has a comedic premise – it centers on the lives of two women who, at the show’s open, learn that their husbands of 40 years have been cheating on them for the last 20, with one another. Now that these law partners are also bed partners, the two women are left alone and unloved and in their late 70s. Through many antics, they end up living together at their shared beach house and fighting over their competing personalities but bonding over their shared situation, constantly waffling between clinging to the persons they were before and having to adapt to the new life they are leading.
