Syncing Dream [Aespa x M!Reader]
36. Ai-ai-aespa!
Note: the final chapter….maybe?
Masterlist here
Right after they are back from the break, the fan event was in full swing, with laughter and cheers filling the large hall as Aespa and Y/n took the stage. Bright lights and colorful banners covered the venue, and the energy from the fans was infectious. Each of the girls had been in high spirits all day, feeding off the excitement from the crowd as they interacted with their fans in a series of fun activities.
The event had been organized to give back to the fans after the international tour, and there was no shortage of amusing moments and heartfelt interactions.
-
Y/n stood to the side of the stage, watching as each of the girls took turns answering questions from the audience. He was mostly focused on keeping things running smoothly, but he couldn’t help but smile at the fans’ reactions to their favorite idols.
The first challenge of the day was a guessing game, where the members had to identify obscure fan-made memes about themselves.
“Oh no… I already know where this is going,” Karina groaned, her hand covering her face as the first meme—a horribly distorted picture of her making a funny expression—appeared on the screen.
The fans erupted in laughter as Giselle leaned over, trying to keep a straight face. “Is that supposed to be you?”
Karina glared at her playfully. “That’s not me. That’s a cursed image.”
Meanwhile, Winter and Ningning were already laughing uncontrollably as they scrolled through the memes, and Y/n couldn’t help but chuckle along with them.
When it came time for the fan challenges, Y/n was pulled onstage as a surprise. The fans erupted in cheers when they saw him, especially when a video clip of his viral “Supernova” dance incident played on the big screen.
Y/n felt his face flush as the clip continued, much to the amusement of both the fans and the girls.
“Oh my god, please turn it off,” Y/n groaned, trying to cover his face with his hands. "Why am I so monumental in the aespa lore?"
Karina and Giselle were practically on the floor laughing at this point, while Ningning offered him a pat on the back. “Don’t worry, oppa. It’s legendary now.”
Winter, standing beside him, grinned. “Yeah, it’s pretty iconic.”
Y/n shot her a look, his embarrassment slowly fading under the warmth of her teasing. He hadn’t forgotten their conversation from Sokcho, and ever since that day, things between him and Winter had shifted—subtly but undeniably. Now, every little joke or smile carried a new weight, a quiet acknowledgment of what they shared.
As the fan event continued, Y/n and the girls participated in a dance battle and several hilarious fan challenges, but what stood out the most was the final Q&A segment, where fans asked the girls what their favorite memories were from the tour.
When Winter was asked the same question, she smiled softly. “My favorite memory… It was when we had a quiet day in Sokcho. Just me and this idiot here.”
The fans erupted in cheers, and Y/n, standing nearby, felt his heart skip a beat. Winter glanced at him, a knowing smile on her lips. The confession they’d shared wasn’t public knowledge, but little moments like these reminded him that they had something special. Something that was just for them.
-
A few days after the fan event, Y/n found himself standing in the middle of the dorm’s living room, which had been completely transformed into a winter wonderland. Karina had taken charge of the decorations, insisting on stringing Christmas lights all over the room, while Ningning and Giselle were busy putting up the tree.
Winter, of course, was watching from the couch, sipping hot chocolate. “You know, this is why I love Christmas. I get to sit here and watch you guys do all the work.”
“Excuse me?” Karina called out from the ladder, where she was attempting to put the star on top of the tree. “You could at least help with the lights.”
Winter waved her off, her eyes twinkling with mischief. “Nah, you’re doing great.”
Y/n stood in the kitchen, trying to handle the logistics of cooking a Christmas dinner. He wasn’t exactly a chef, but he wanted to surprise the girls with something special. The turkey, however, was proving to be his greatest challenge.
“Uh, Y/n?” Giselle called from the living room. “Do you smell something burning?”
“My love for you, unnie?” Winter quickly shaped a heart with her hands.
“Umm, very cute. But something is actually burning.”
Y/n’s eyes widened as he rushed to the oven, pulling out a slightly charred turkey. “Sht.”
Ningning peeked her head in, stifling a laugh. “Well, at least we have side dishes, right?”
Y/n groaned, staring at the ruined bird. “I tried.”
Winter got up from her spot on the couch, padding into the kitchen and peering over his shoulder at the turkey. “It’s not that bad. We can still eat it… maybe.”
Y/n shot her a look. “Are you just saying that because you feel bad for me?”
Winter grinned, leaning closer. “Maybe.”
"Tsk, thought in a relationship will finally make you less savage."
Despite the turkey disaster, the rest of the dinner was surprisingly successful. They managed to gather around the table with mashed potatoes, stuffing, and a whole lot of side dishes, laughing over Y/n’s kitchen mishaps.
-
After dinner, they all gathered around the Christmas tree, exchanging gifts. Karina got a fancy set of makeup brushes from Ningning, the maknae got a new bracelet, Giselle received a new game console, and Winter was gifted a cozy sweater.
When it was Y/n’s turn, Winter handed him a small, neatly wrapped package. “This is for you,” she said softly, her eyes twinkling with a bit of nervousness.
Y/n opened the gift carefully, revealing a framed photo of the two of them as children. It was from one of their earliest memories together—back when they had first met. He stared at it for a long moment, a wave of nostalgia hitting him.
“Jeong…” he began, his voice catching slightly.
She smiled softly. “I found it a while ago and thought it would be nice to remind you of how far we’ve come. From childhood friends to… this.”
Y/n felt his chest tighten with emotion as he looked at the photo. It wasn’t just a memory—it was a reminder of how deeply connected they were, of the years of friendship that had blossomed into something more.
“Thank you,” he whispered, his voice barely above a breath.”my girlfriend’s the best.”
Winter smiled, her eyes soft as she leaned against him. “Girlfriend hehehe”
“Boooo, get a room, you two!” Ningning groaned, earning a laugh from everyone.
As the group bicker about their exchanging gifts, Y/n had just finished thanking Winter for the framed photo of their childhood when she leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a whisper so only he could hear.
"That’s not your only gift by the way," she murmured, her eyes sparkling with a mischievous glint. Y/n blinked, confused, as Winter straightened up, shooting him a playful smile.
He raised an eyebrow, whispering back, "Oh? What’s the other one, then?"
Winter’s gaze lingered on him for a moment before she stood up, the sound of wrapping paper crinkling as she grabbed a second, much smaller gift from behind her. She handed it to him, the tension between them thickening as he carefully unwrapped it. Inside the box was something familiar:
a black collar, one of the gifts the girls had given him earlier on their birthday as a prank.
Y/n stared at it for a second, his heart skipping a beat as Winter leaned in again, this time close enough that he could feel her breath on his ear.
"The real gift," she whispered, her tone sending a shiver down his spine, "comes later. Just… wait until everyone’s asleep."
She straightened up, a teasing smile dancing on her lips as she casually sat back down, acting as though nothing had happened. Y/n swallowed hard, trying to keep his expression neutral as the others continued chatting around them. His mind raced, unable to stop replaying her words and the implications behind them.
Throughout the night, Y/n found himself stealing glances at Winter, who seemed completely at ease, joining in the banter and laughter as if she hadn’t just made a very bold statement. Every now and then, her eyes would meet his, and she’d give him that same teasing smile, making his heart pound just a little harder.
By the time everyone decided to call it a night, Y/n’s nerves were on edge. As they all began heading to their rooms, Winter caught his gaze one last time, raising an eyebrow in silent challenge. She slipped away quietly, disappearing down the hall toward her room.
Y/n stood there for a moment, wondering if she was really serious. The collar in his hand felt heavier than ever, and he realized that the night was far from over.
The others slowly made their way to bed, leaving the house quiet and dimly lit. Y/n hesitated for a few minutes, standing in the hallway, his heart racing as he considered his next move. Eventually, curiosity—and something more—got the better of him. He made his way to Winter’s door, his hand hovering over the handle before knocking softly.
A voice called out from the other side. "Come in."
Taking a deep breath, Y/n opened the door, stepping into the dimly lit room. Winter was there, sitting on the edge of her bed, her expression soft but filled with unmistakable intent. She motioned for him to come closer, her voice low and playful. "I told you there was another gift, didn’t I?"
Y/n approached cautiously, still holding the collar in his hand. "So… you’re serious about this?"
Winter’s smile widened, her eyes glinting with a mixture of excitement and mischief. "Very serious." She reached out, gently taking the collar from him and holding it up between them. "This has a lot of meaning, don’t you think…jagi?"
Y/n swallowed hard, his throat suddenly dry. "Yeah… I guess it does….honey"
Without another word, Winter leaned in, her lips brushing against his in a soft but electrifying kiss. The room seemed to close in around them, the air charged with the intensity of the moment. Whatever playful teasing had existed before now melted away, replaced by something deeper, something unspoken.
Winter pulled back, her gaze locking onto his with a seriousness that took Y/n by surprise. "This isn’t a prank, Jung Y/n. I meant every word."
Her hand found his, and with a gentle pull, she led him closer, guiding him into her world, where teasing and friendship had blossomed into something undeniable. This night wasn’t just a gift—it was the beginning of something they both had been quietly wanting for a long time.
“Well, show me, Kim Minjeong.”
-
A few days later, as the new year approached, Aespa and Y/n found themselves gathered together in the living room again. This time, there were no decorations or fanfare—just the five of them, sitting around and reflecting on their journey and eating their breakfast.
"So," Karina began, her eyes flicking around, "What’s next for us?"
There was a brief pause before Giselle chimed in, “More banger albums, for sure. And more tours. Gotta keep the momentum going."
"Maybe more variety shows?" Ningning suggested. "I had so much fun last time. Plus, fans love seeing Y/n fail at games. That should be a regular segment."
Y/n rolled his eyes but couldn’t hide the grin that spread across his face. "Hey, if it means more screentime for me, I’ll take it."
Giselle snorted. "Yeah, but it’s not exactly flattering screentime when you’re constantly falling over yourself."
"Still counts!" Y/n shot back, earning a round of laughter from the table. “It will be my goal to be more popular than Aespa now. You guys set me up for it.”
“Ok, we’ll see.” Karina smirked.
But the lightheartedness didn’t last long. There was a brief lull in the conversation, the gravity of their journey setting in as each member seemed lost in thought. It was Karina who broke the silence.
"We’ve come so far, haven’t we?" she said softly, her voice carrying a note of awe. "I still remember when we were trainees, wondering if we’d even debut. And now… now we’re here."
"More than here," Giselle added, nodding. "We’ve made it."
Ningning smiled, leaning back in her chair. "Sometimes it feels like a dream, you know? Like… everything we’ve done, all the stages, the fans. I still can’t believe it."
Winter, who had been quiet the entire time, finally spoke. "I think… it’s not just about making it. It’s about the people we’ve had with us along the way." Her eyes flicked briefly to Y/n before looking up to the ceiling. "We couldn’t have done it without each other. And without our idiotic yet reliable Y/n."
The room fell silent, the weight of Winter’s words hanging in the air. Y/n felt his heart skip a beat. He hadn’t expected Winter to bring him up, especially in front of everyone, but the way she looked at him made him feel something he hadn’t allowed himself to fully embrace—just how important he had become to them. To her.
"I agree," Karina added, her voice softer now. "Y/n, you’ve been through so much with us, especially in the last few months. We couldn’t have gotten here without you."
"Even with all your clumsiness," Giselle joked, lightening the mood. "Seriously though, you’ve been a tremendous help for us."
Y/n, who had been trying to keep himself composed, felt his throat tighten. "You guys…" He cleared his throat awkwardly. "I don’t know what to say."
Ningning grinned. "How about, ‘You’re welcome, Ningning, for being the greatest influence in my life?’"
“Goddamn it, Ning.” Y/n choked.
The table erupted into laughter, the tension breaking as the mood shifted once again. They continued eating, the atmosphere light and filled with warmth. But throughout the rest of breakfast, Y/n could feel Winter’s eyes on him, a quiet understanding passing between them. They had shared something important way back in Sokcho, and even now, that connection was still there—stronger than ever.
The group shared a final toast, raising their glasses to the future and all the exciting opportunities that lay ahead. They didn’t know what was coming next, but they knew they’d face it together, as a team—and that was more than enough.
For Y/n, the journey had been unexpected, filled with challenges and surprises. Entering his life past his trainee life, he was genuinely lost in his path. Where should he go? Was this all he would do? Aimlessly wandering around in multiple jobs with no secure future ahead?
But as he looked around the room at the people who had become his family, he realized that every step had been worth it.
His first day as a manager…and also the reunion with Minjeong.
The multiple times he messed up during his early days and his various praying moment that Karina won't kill him.
Bantering with Giselle at the gym.
Babysitting Ningning to make sure she doesn’t create weird shenanigans.
The sasaeng incident that sparked his eventual virality.
Small yet precious moments with each members and other people.
And eventually, with Minjeong…
He- no, they had come so far, and there was still so much more to look forward to.
With a smile, he raised his fork with his food one last time. “To the future,” he said, his voice full of hope and anticipation. “And to aespa.”
“Ai-ai-aespa!!”

▲ This room is in the Moon’s apartment at the Pine Ridge Resort, near Sokcho. This seems to be a photo of the ‘Sokcho incident’. Hyun-jin is sitting in front of his mother. Chung-hwan Kwak is on the right. Sun-jo Hwang is on the left and next to him is Joon-ho Seuk. Behind them appear to be Kook-jin, In-jin and Hyung-jin.
Was Hak Ja Han behind the ‘Sokcho incident’ fake spirit world message used to remove Hyun Jin, the eldest living son?
Mark Bramwell, a former European leader, wrote this May 24, 2013 report:
“Another disgraceful incident was the faked revelation from spirit world announcing world leadership changes on 8th March 2009. While Hyun Jin Nim was doing a global speaking tour, True Father asked him to stop and to come to Sokcho, Korea. After rebuking Hyun Jin Nim for restoring part of the HSA-UWC board of directors (which In Jin Nim had dismissed), True Father summoned Hoon Mo Nim [DaeMoNim / Hyo-nam Kim] to read her supposed “special report”, saying that this report is “the reality of the spirit world”. However, Hoon Mo Nim did not appear, so True Father asked Dr. Yang (current international vice-president) to read it, which he did. This text contained announcements of major leadership changes, such as that Hyung Jin Nim should become world president of FFWPU and Hyun Jin Nim should become Chairman of UPF.
Though True Father believed the text had originated from Hoon Mo Nim, Dr. Yang avoided confirming this. The astounding fact is that this text was not from Hoon Mo Nim at all, but was merely a set of reflections written down by Dr. Yang himself and reviewed by Peter Kim! Dr. Yang already had the paper in his hand at the beginning of the meeting. Later he admitted that the text actually originated from him and not from Hoon Mo Nim. After the meeting, both Hyun Jin Nim and later Rev. Kwak had a chance encounter with Hoon Mo Nim in the corridor, who confirmed, “I am not responsible for this, I did not write it”. Yet the entire world membership was made to believe that “Hoon Mo Nim’s special report” was a revelation from the spirit world, due to True Father’s comment, “This is the reality of the spirit world”. Hyun Jin Nim was understandably deeply pained by this sham set-up, reminiscent of a communist show trial, through which major decisions impacting God’s providence were being made. He was especially grieved that True Father had been misled and his dignity insulted. After protesting to True Father, he left the room, not wanting to be a part of such dishonourable proceedings.”
The above is an extract from Hyun Jin Nim: Truth brought to Light by Mark Bramwell, May 24, 2013 Vice-President of the European Unification Movement, 2000 – 2002 Director of European Leadership Training, 1987 – 1990 and 1995 – 1996 European CARP President, 1997 – 2002

(Sokcho is the nearest town to the Pine Ridge Resort – which was ‘liberated’ for her family by DaeMoNim, aka Kim Hyo-nam. The money, $300 million, may have come from member’s Cheongpyeong ancestor liberation donations. The Korean Government investigated, but their conclusion is unknown.)

Name: Joonchul “Hajoon” Shifter Form: Genesect...? Suspicions abound if he can even fully transform. Appearance: An average-sized, tan-skinned man usually in a white power chair, Joonchul’s hair usually is cropped short and he usually wears a red jacket over a beige T-shirt, along with long slacks. His eyes however are a dark grey and glow in the dark, the only true indicator of his somewhat-bizarre status, and the inner part of his left arm is dotted with needle scars from administering painkillers to himself. His back and limbs are also lined with unusual scar-like markings from being experimented upon, and he usually keeps his sleeves rolled up to his elbows for mobility. Personality: Joonchul is a man with simple needs and no wants, he lives life optimistically and is aggressively resilient despite the constant pain he would’ve been in and is surprisingly nurturing from his previous job as a teacher- highly cerebral and sedentary, he is very bookish and calm. He is kind and generous to everyone he meets, thinking very little of material resources than a means to an end, and he especially loves spending time with children. His singleminded pursuit to return to normalcy after being displaced and tortured is often his biggest weakness, and he often refuses help or snipes if even offered any discourse regarding how they’d accept him now. His often-hardnosed stance of playing within rules makes him butt heads constantly with Hyejoon, but they key off each other surprisingly well due to their second opinions. History: A man poised to teach in a high school in Sokcho, Joonchul was unfortunate enough to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, and was swiftly taken by Seungryong as one of his “pets” to create a new, artificial god they could mold as their pawn. Horrifically tortured for the next two years and having mechanical implants forcibly bound to him, Seungryong soon abandoned Joonchul when they started recognising the man was far too cerebral and lacked the combat skillset they were looking for, stripping the man of every implant and then dropped his now-maimed body off to expire.
Left for dead in the wilderness outside of Pungdo, Joonchul dragged himself towards the first signs of civilisation, only to be picked up by the roving Light Wizard couple Miran and Dongil as they did their rounds to pick up stragglers looking to enter Pungdo. They swiftly adopted Joonchul as one of their own, letting him put up and regain his strength for the time being at the safety of their house (where due to Miran’s influence prevented him from being scried upon). After recognising his new status, and being in so much pain that he was unable to perform simple tasks, Joonchul eventually elected to leave to Non-non Nursing Home instead after adopting the alias of “Hajoon”, unwilling to endanger his benefactors and encroach on their lives even further.
At Non-non, his odd signature soon attracted the Dawnbringers Joonhan and Hyanggi, who were curious about matters but got confronted by whatever Joonchul was and left scratching their heads. The kindly Joonchul won the two confused angels over, however, and Joonhan soon elected to send his friend Hyejoon to him when he had to leave for an emergency. Hyejoon was initially annoyed by matters: until she realised abruptly that Joonchul was unable to be put to sleep (hence her powers collectively failing on him), and Joonchul was upset by the motormouth of a seer upending his otherwise serene life and making him travel with her to Tongyeong for investigations. They shared a bickering friendship for a long time, until Hyejoon suddenly confessed her feelings to him, but Joonchul, still carrying a flame for his fiancee, opted to reject her for the time being.
In the meantime, he’s gotten comfortable at the bookstore in Tongyeong with Hyejoon for the time being, and after she cashed in a favor to Joonhyung to finally address Joonchul’s chronic pain, he’s finally been able to do more than (what he perceives to) be a liability to others. Powers: Joonchul is very physically resistant to most mundane damage types (including bullets), and with some additional control over his abilities, can manifest a pair of electrically charged “whips” from his hands to reel in, pull people towards him and otherwise manipulate as a set of powerful tentacles, along with sending impulses through them to “tase” anyone he’s snatched in them. He is also immune to being put to sleep, which makes any abilities involving forcing him to dream automatically fail upon him.
With the mastery of his abilities, Joonchul now has the mental capacity rivalling supercomputers, and is able to manifest a cannon on his back that tunes to a super-effective element when called upon. Johnny Appleseed
Dear Oshun (Etesta),
Lewis left an apple on his Korean night stand. Went to Sokcho where he saw the ghost of your mother. Came back. And, apple had grown into an orchard in the middle of his home. His apartment manager was picking apples when he walked into the building. His wife had created an apple kim chi pancake for the Korean bag women outside their apartment building. Unfortunately Johnnie was fire due to this apple orchard incident. They cited that negroes that are magical only exist in prisons.
Love,
Korea.

“You can’t really believe that stuff?” said Ye Jin, Hyo Jin and In Jin Tatiana Moon
January 7, 2011
My father was a Christian minister. I was brought up in a Christian home, actually in a Christian seminary campus. At the age of 21, God called me into the Unification ministry and eventually by the grace of God, He led me out of the UC. The important thing to understand here is, once I had passed through Jesus and Sun Myung Moon all that was left was myself with God.
In the late 70’s I was an East Garden security guard. These were the ‘Day of Hope’ years within the Unification Movement. In 1979, I was called into the main house living room to meet with SMM and Hak Ja Han. They wanted me to escort their three children to England for the summer. They asked me to teach their children, Ye Jin, Hyo Jin and In Jin the Divine Principle. At the time, these children were all teenagers. Unfortunately, I was never given a formal opportunity to teach them, due to a particular UC leader who felt more qualified than me, and others unwilling to take my request seriously. So I resorted to teach them in the car. I tried to explain the DP view of God, His parental love and his yearning for His lost children. I tried to explain the origin of sin and how sin has broken the relationship between our Original Parent (God) and humanity. I tried to talk about Jesus, his willingness to give his all for humanity’s salvation. Tried to teach about the history of restoration and the hope God has for each person.
You may notice I tried. I tried, but failed! “Do you really believe in God,” they taunted. “You can’t really believe that stuff?” They laughed and mocked me for believing in God! I defended myself with “yes,” I really do believe this! I was actually shocked that Sun Myung Moon’s own children were so ignorant of God and His love. At the time, I took their taunting as just teenagers’ torments.
We now know of their father’s dark side, Hyo Jin’s plight, In Jin’s troubles and the evil lives of the other Moon children who pursue their parents’ position, power and money. I often wonder to myself, what is to become of God’s family providence? What will happen to all the tears, sacrifice, faith, good will, creativity and love investment that was put into building the beloved community and the global village? …

Please remember that the objective is not to embarrass, or harass anyone, but to hold leaders accountable to members. The central issue is that Family Federation is claiming to be the sole authority over everything connected with the movement. That authority lies in Mother as the head of the Family Federation. They are confusing legal authority with spiritual authority, which is at the heart of the court case. In short, they are asking a secular court to rule in a religious dispute.
According to the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the Federal government has no authority in such matters. Furthermore, by claiming legal authority over all groups in the movement, they are reversing arguments we have long since held about the legal independence of Unification Movement related groups. This is particularly true when it comes to our tax status as 501 c3 organizations. I think that her testimony could put that status in jeopardy, which is why her lawyers objected so strongly to the mention of taxes and the IRS. This is a serious matter that could adversely impact the future of our movement, so I think that regular members really need to pay more attention to the path we are on.
Hyun Jin Moon supporters did NOT post the video clips of Hak Ja Han’s deposition.
I would like to clear one thing up. Hyun Jin supporters did not post the clips of HJH’s deposition. I know this because I am the one who did. While I am a member of the Family Federation, my posiiton is that members should follow their orignial minds and not any one of the Moon family members. I agreed with Hyun Jin when he argued that we should be an interfaith movement and not a Church. I also think that his side has the better legal argument in the current court case, but I do not buy any claim to succession based on the family blood lineage. The very idea of “The True Family” is a problem for me, though I buy into the ideal of trying to become “true families.” My objective in posting the videos was to hold Unification Movement leaders accountable to members. Hyun Jin’s deposition clips will come next, so stay tuned.

Was Hak Ja Han behind the ‘Sokcho incident’ fake spirit world message used to remove Hyun Jin, the eldest living son?
This room is in the Moon’s apartment at the Pine Ridge Resort, Sokcho.
The above is an extract from Hyun Jin Nim: Truth brought to Light by Mark Bramwell, 24 May 2013 Vice-President of the European Unification Movement, 2000 - 2002 Director of European Leadership Training, 1987 - 1990 and 1995 - 1996 European CARP President, 1997 - 2002
