O’ Sokar-Wesir,
Great King of the Duat,
Guardian of the Shadow,
I call to you.
May my limbs be strong,
my heart firmed,
my ka strengthened.
When my ka doubts,
grant me courage to face this doubt,
and cast it down into the sands.
For it is to you I know my ba will fly,
into your everloving embrace in the afterlife,
to rest in the Field of Reeds.

The two kites keen over your body
Their voices lifted in mourning with those of your loved ones
Wepwawet walks in front of you
You follow his great gray form into the Duat
Culsu opens the gates at his approach
Vanth stands beside Wepwawet lighting your way
Her sword outstretched, warding off any that may cause you harm
The Tinas cliniar stand beside you
None will dare harm you with them here
Charun guards your back, his hammer ready
Sokar's wings unfold overhead
He greets your soul
Anpu takes your heart in his hands, ready to weigh it on the scales of Ma'at
Your heart is pure, Wesir and Calu smile at your approach
You are welcomed into their kingdoms
Hetheru comes forward to offer you succor
The field of reeds stretches before you
I stand behind with your body, your khat
The kites cries match my own

An Oracle of Ptah, in His Name of Apis
Take what you want and leave the rest. This is a general message as part of my oracular practice.
The Great Bull comes forth, Ptah-Sokar-Wesir in His guise as Apis. The Bull of His Mother shines in the pasture. His horns are the sun and moon, all the lights of the earth emanate from him, all the lights of the Duat emanate from Him, all the lights of the Heavens emanate from Him. The great bull speaks:
Hail! I am the one who lives, then dies, then lives again. To take of my body is the great blessing, that you too may live again. I am he who Begets Himself: so too are you. Each day, you rise new, born from who you were yesterday. Who will you be tomorrow?
I am the great green, the one from whom all vegetation sprouts. I am He of the earthly delights. I bring forth that which pleases you. Receive it, recieve me. You are pure, you are pure. The Golden One shines beside Me. I drink of Her honey and share its blessings with you. Wet your lips with the light of the sun, and know the Joyous Ones are beside you. The trials have come, and they are many. You may find yourself at the sacrifcial altar. But remember: I too was burned there. I was born again the next day.
And so are you.

From what I understand you are a pagan, if I'm correct are you able to explain (or link to articles and such) what paganism is and the core beliefs?? I'm always curious abt other religions as in heavily questioning what I believe right now :)
Hi! I am a pagan and polytheist and have been so for 8+ years
A pagan is typically described as someone holding beliefs outside the main religions (for example, I specifically am a Kemetic (Ancient Egyptian Gods) and Hellenic (Ancient Greek Gods) pagan)
Polytheist is one who believes in multiples Gods
Regarding core beliefs that's a hard ones lol
Regarding being a Kemetic pagan - one of the core beliefs is the following of Ma'at and Zep Tepi. Ma'at is the Goddess representation of truth, justice, and law. Zep Tepi means roughly means 'first time' and in Kemetic Orthodoxy (which I am part of for 6+ years) we believe each day is a new day to change and be better and grow!
I used to be a Shemsu in KO but recently dropped down a little as I had some issues regarding the accessibility of it (for example - some rituals have to be in person and as a poor person and someone whos mindful of folks with disabilities (and someone who is autistic themselves) who limit their ability to travel - this bothered me deeply)
My Shemsu name is Sonebiyinepu meaning 'Yinepu heals me' My Divine father is Yinepu (Anubis) and Beloveds (sorta like aunts and uncles) are Amun-Ra, Heru-Wer (elder Horus), Sokar-Wesir (Sokar-Osiris), and Sekhmet-Mut. My father always comes first in worship and He is DEEPLY important to me
For Hellenic, its been a long time since I have dug into Hellenic and such as I worked with Hades when I first looked into paganism (then I moved to Kemetic and recently I'm in both lol). Others with far more research into it may have an answer on core beliefs there!
Not sure if this answered exactly what you asked!

I finally set up an altar space for Him after spending months too busy (or depressed) to set aside the space and time to prepare for Him. now He is in my home and a sense of balance is finally returning to my spiritual life

Past week: I've been here the whole time but lol @ communicating that. Here are some favors to make sure you do my Mysteries this year. :D

I’ve had what I’ll call an uncomfortable relationship with some of the Gods, specifically Re and Ptah-Sekar-Wesir. It’s related to my PTSD, which was caused, in part, by men in authority positions(my father, bosses, the Christian God). I am, or at least I was, intimidated and fearful because I have never seen myself as deserving or worthy of attention.
I’ve healed somewhat, and I have, among others, Sebek, Heru, Sekhmet, and Setesh to thank for that. I’m now in a position where Re has acknowledged me, my work, and my struggles, and I do not feel unworthy of that attention. Ptah-Seker-Wesir has not contacted me directly in some time, but I feel that Meretseger’s recent appearance in my life can be traced back to him.
It took quite a bit of time and effort, both on my part and on the part of the Gods, to get me to this point. There are still things in my past and present that I cannot reconcile, but I am increasingly able to see the path ahead, and to understand the path behind.
Dua Netjeru!

Great Falcon of the Crypt,
your wings overshadow me,
covering me as I sit in solitude.
My heart beats,
once,
twice,
thrice.
I am whole.
I am alone, but I am not alone in spirit.
My ba soars along your wingspan,
my ka is strengthened by your breath.
I learn to sit in the silence,
and hear the whispers only quiet brings.

I am awed and flattered by how popular my little photo of my offering of water, beer and an apple to my gods has gotten! It’s more traction than I’ve ever gotten on any sort of media platform before.
Even in the short amount of time since posting it, my practice has undergone several large changes, including formally stepping down from Shemsuhood, adding Sokar-Wesir to my practice (at the level of devotion that would be considered a Beloved in KO), and formally recognising Tefnut as my second Mother.
I’m so excited to continue to explore the limitless possibilities of my Kemetic family and the freedom of independent revivalist practice on such a warm, welcoming platform. ♥ (I’m definitely looking for more people to follow & interact with, too!)

Hello! I’m wondering if you could explain aspects of gods? Not necessarily in a purely kemetic sense but like in every sense i guess. I’ve seen barbie he used as a comparison but i still don’t quite understand. Do different aspects have different names?
So since this isn’t supposed to be kemetic-specific, my answer is gonna be mostly UPG, although i HIGHLY encourage anyone who sees this to reblog and add actual info on how “gods in their aspect as ___” works historically and academically. Having received this ask, I realized this is a really interesting question, and one I’d like to learn more about myself. My knee-jerk reaction is to ask my Hellenic mutuals about this, since I see more stuff with their deities being referred to in specific aspects (”Apollo in his aspect as healer” except they use cool Greek words that I also don’t understand), whereas with the NTRW i see more stuff about our gods wearing another gods’ hat and taking on their functions that way (Sokar-Wesir, Amun-Ra, Sobek-Ra, etc). it’s similar in that we’re talking about a specific kind of the god we’re referring to, but not quite the same.
But anyhow, wrt my personal experiences with the NTRW, sometimes they do have different names, although i generally see the specific names as ways to communicate to the deity what it is you’re summoning them as, the capacity in which you need them right now, or at least the thing you’re seeking to find or understand through them. like they’re using their names as a way to narrow down or purify their entire existence into the specific function they want to exist/act as right now.
the way i actually experience it is that I’ll pray/try to connect with Set or Heru, and i’ll say “I need to talk to Heru-my-husband” or “I need to talk to Set-my-patron”; or conversely, they’ll need to talk to me and when i approach them they’ll give me this feeling like, “no, not like that. i’m not your boss right now, i’m your friend” (or vice versa). this all mostly happens in my head on the emotional/energy level, though, so i rarely take the time to utilize epithets in order to summon “Heru, Lord of Human Beings” or “Set, Who Commands the Riot”, but i’ve assumed for a while that this is one of the functions that epithets serve. as in, if i were to try to quantify the meditations/magical stuff we’re doing for other people to do the same thing, i would use the most appropriate and specific epithets for the gods in question that i could in order to try and replicate the energetic and symbolic movements into a ritual other people could do and get similar results.
i’m a little worried this whole answer is hot nonsense though lol so, in conclusion,

I’m Iaret, affectionately known in some circles as the “snake deity expert”! (I can’t claim to know everything, but I sure do work with a lot of them and have for a long time.)
Things to know about me:
- Child and claimed oracle of Wadjet
- Child of Sebek-Re
- Devoted to:
Yinepu, Ptah, Mehen, Nehebkau, Wesir(-Agathos Daimon), and more
- Connected to:
Ptah-Sokar, Heru-Wer, Hethert-Bast, Sekhmet-Mafdet-Bast, Djehuty, Sutekh, Meretseger, Renenutet, Hedjhotep, Nebthet, and more
- Divine akhu:
Horemheb, Hatshepsut, Ramesses II
I am a polypagan, technically, and work with deities from many paths as an Oracle, so feel free to ask me about that! I tend to stick to my Kemetic deities unless asked for more info on others, however.
