Today is a day much like any other in the Tangled Wood. Perhaps not exactly business as usual; the summer, much to the Sprite’s annoyance, intrudes unwelcomely, whether that be by the heat strong enough to dry up the smaller pools of water, or by the sunlight that bursts through the smog on the boundaries of Shadow territory.
They hum a simple melody as they flit from tree to tree, darting from branch to branch. A few more months, and Autumn will come, and with it, the lengthening of the night and the cooling of temperatures. It will be good.
Now, what was it that they were meant to do again? They glance down, then realise it’s a maple leaf and not the to-do list they need, and start flicking through the stack. It must be somewhere...
So preoccupied they are, that they miss the familiar signs (signs that they, and the rest of the sprites, had been looking out for for the past few weeks or so). A whisper. A slight chill. The sensation of being watched. The Sprite’s shadow elongating, elongating into a drake with clawed wings and purple glowing eyes.
~~~
“How was your... journey, Lady? What did you find about the eye mutations?” said Sprite asks whilst picking up everything they had dropped to the ground in surprise. Everything has scattered across the floor, but at least they’ve found their to-do list now.
Shadowbinder, of course, just watches them. She’s not quite soild yet. (Does she ever blink?)
“Oh, well. I gleaned many things... many secrets. Unless it is of the other deities’ doing, the origin of the mutations may be a mystery left covered. Though... I suppose I could always send a few infiltrators Arcanist’s way...”
She lifts a claw, and hooked around it is a small, golden... halo? She gazes at it with incredible smugness.
“I would’ve announced my return earlier, but I simply had to pay... homage to my dear sister, especially during her festival! I need to thank her someday for generously allowing me to borrow the Hewn City as a portal destination. Void knows I cannot stand anywhere else on her lands. It was certainly fortunate that festival apparel was selling even inside that place...”
The Sprite, having gathered up everything and was respectfully waiting for her to finish, immediately places their pile of maple leaves in front of her. “We’ve dealt with the ones that weren’t question-based, like you said.”
The Shadowbinder glances down in annoyance, and sighs. Her sigh is as cold as a winter night’s wind. “I suppose I should... though perhaps in a few days.” The leaves are surrounded in a purple glow as she melts back into the darkness with them.
~~~
((Hello! June was hell for the mod! Sorry for disappearing.
I’ll hopefully be replying to asks and pings in the next few days (if my motivation is merciful and doesn’t plummet again). It’s quite a backlog; I’ve still got an ask from anniversary-time so yea.
ok birb out))

Interactive media, week 21 twelve basic principles of animation and why do we love animation
(Kysrite)
1. Squash and Stretch
This is where the animator does what the title says and makes characters or objects squash or stretch even if the effect is small such as a ball rolls and throughout the roll it get stretched to make the ball more interesting but the speed makes this effect not very visible but still makes a difference.
This effect was not used
2.Anticipation
This is where a character or object does an action as a preparation for the next action an example of this is when a character goes to jump, they do not floot towards the sky they instead bend there legs then jump.
This is used in the stop motion animation, the creature prepares to have its body come out of the mouth by opening the mouth.
3.Staging
This is where the animator using different methods such as camera angle or zooming into different areas as a way to focus the audience on important areas or event taking place in the animation as well as a way to communicate to the audience.
This effect was not used.
4.Straight ahead and pose to pose animation
As the title suggests, this type of animation is where the animator will draw from drawing to drawing without using size scale. This an mean that the animator loses these throughout the drawing but this allows for quicker drawing and less time spent doing the animations.
This was done in my animation as did not make sure the proportions where correct.
5.Follow though and over lapping action
This is where parts of a character or object will catch up with them between frames an example of this is when a character starts to move and then the clothing starts to move after the character already started.
This was not used (not completely sure)
6.Slow-out and slow-in
This is where the animator will draw a beginning, middle and ending frame. Then draw frames in between towards the beginning and ending making the animation look more realistic and less robotic. This is because when actions happen in real life such as someone moving there head they slow down in the middle before speeding up again.
This was not used.
7.Arcs
This is where the animator will use arcs to improve the action that is happening as it makes the action look more realistic and better, this can be done was basically anything from a bouncing ball to a figure. An example of this when a character is shocked the arms go back and down. The arc could be used as the arms go down so that the movement looks more realistic.
This was not used
8.Secondery action
Secondary actions are actions that are used to give more dimensions to a character or object. When adding secondary actions they should not cover the main action as well as get they time so that the viewer sees them. This is considered to be similar to overlapping as both are using multiple movement other than the main as well as movement than gives the character or object more dimensions.
This get used on accident as the creature other tentacles moved when moving my creature making them the secondary action. The main action is the skull moving across the background.
9.Timing
This is all about the amount of frames that are used for a animation, an example of this is when two frames are added (beginning and ending frames) the character looks like he is getting hit really hard but if more frames are added it can look like he is looking around.
This was used on accident as the movement of the skull make it go fast but trying to move the skull with the creature was more harder meaning that it was different in speed.
10.Exaggration
This is used to give a action more impact on the viewer and make the action more visible. An example of this is when a character is falling over instead of just making the arms move backwards the could instead spin in a circle to show that the character is freaking out more.
This was not used
11.Soild drawing
This is about adding volume, weight and balance to drawings. This can appeal to different styles of drawing such as 3d drawing. The ways this can be done is using shapes to create a basic shape of the character or adding small details such as line to parts of the clothing so everything does not look like it is on the same plane. This is how a character can be more believable.
This was not used.
12.Appeal
This is the final of the twelve and it is about making a character more appealing, it is that simple. An example of this when a character has a generic look that is seen all the time, change how the character looks to make it look more appealing. bigger nose and longer body for example.
This was not used.

why do we love animation?
Animation is loved for many reason, such as creativity. The person can make basically anything from monsters, objects and something that is completely random because it is animation. A example of this is south park. South park uses topics that are seen as controversial but if a movie tried to use some of the same topics it would be harder for them to make the movie. Animation can mean the different between being able to make a world and not being able to make a world such as treasure planet world be hard because of the different places they go as well as a lot of the film take place outside of space. A example of a live action space movie is martian as it take place in space but on a planet and space is not seen lots in that film compared to treasure planet another example is guardian of the galaxy as they do have space scenes but still stays on planets and inside areas mostly. The art style can have different styles and the person can even try a new style. An animation does not have to be long to be good such as the super fight video by corridor.

WWE live in Chattanooga Tennessee
First things first this was a Smackdown house show and the crowd was more than ready for WWE to be back in Chattanooga.
Attendance was roughly 4,000 give or take.
Match 1 Breezeango vs Primo and Epico
Crowd was red hot for Tyler Breeze and Fandango, and by default hated Primo and Epico who are great in ring hands but their character development leaves a bit to be desired. Breezeango on the other hand has everything a great up and coming tag team should have. Chemistry, amazing in ring skills, and great character development. This match was a great opener especially the breakup tease by Primo and Epico who showed with that one moment why they have the potential to be great entertainers. Breezeango over much to the delight of the crowd.
Match 2 Aiden English vs Mojo Rawley
Aiden English out first while singing his own made up entrance. I love the guy to death already his character is great. Mojo Rawley is really over with the WWE Universe, the crowd absolutely loved him. Lots of he ain’t hyped chants directed at Aiden English. When Mojo is in the ring you can tell the crowd is having a lot of fun as the guy has it all, charisma and he is just a beast in the ring. Both these guys put on a soild match. Mojo over, crowd yet again ate it up when Aiden English got the microphone and said that he would not be humiliated in a town like this and demanded another match.
Match 3 Aiden English vs Sin Cara
This was really quick I looked down at my phone for a split second and the match was over. Sin Cara over.
Match 4 Luke Harper vs Erick Rowan
Harper came out to a great pop this guy is very underrated.both of them are actually. These guys started out with some mat wrestling but it turned into a brawl shortly after. Harper is very athletic and showed it with a drop kick that popped the crowd big. The crowd was very much behind Harper and tried to will him back into the match whenever Rowan was on offense. Both men are incredibly gifted in the ring and the crowd loved it as these two monsters went at it. Harper over with his clothesline
Match 5 Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura
At first the crowd popped huge for Dolph Ziggler as Chattanooga is a very pro- Ziggler town and has been for years. That changed however when his partner was revealed to be Kevin Owens, who is an amazing heel in every sense of the word. The crowd popped huge for Zayn and Nakamura and were loving Nakamura and his theme song by humming along. This guy is incredibly over with the fans and I give it a year maybe less before he is world champion. Nakamura and Zayn over to a massive pop.
Match 6 Becky Lynch and Charlotte vs Natayla, Tamina Snuka, and Carmella Charlotte got a huge ovation lots of woos, even a we hate Ellsworth chant. crowd was solidly behind Becky and Charlotte. Crowd popped huge for the hot tag to Charlotte. Her and Becky popped the crowd with a nice looking double baseball slide. Charlotte and Becky over with a figure 8.
Match 7 Tye Dillenger vs Baron Corbin
Crowd loved the Perfect 10. And absolutely hated the more powerful and menacing Lone Wolf Baron Corbin. Crowd was chanting 10 at all the refs counts just having a blast. Corbin showed off his power in this one yet it was still very much back and forth. Good stuff here, Tye Dillenger over with a small package.
Match 8 ( main event) Jinder Mahal vs AJ Styles for the WWE Championship
Lots of USA chants at Jinder Mahal. Pop of the night went to AJ Styles. Smackdown live is truly the house that AJ Styles built. If the WWE is looking for the next star to replace Cena as top guy, they have it already in AJ. This was match of the night and it showcased both guys,and showed why Jinder Mahal deserves to be WWE champion. Crowd was soundly behind AJ and went absolutely crazy when he hit the phenomenal forearm. AJ over by disqualification due to interference from the Singh Brothers. After the match AJ said he was sorry he couldn’t win the championship for the fans but he would be champion again one day. He told us to never forget the men and women who fought and died for this country.
All in all this was a great show start to finish. I really needed Sunday night after the type of week I had. If Thursday was like eating week old food out of the garbage, Sunday night was like eating a perfectly cooked fresh steak from a 5 star restaurant.
