He watches you be happy with your husband from afar and can't help but let a few tears start forming. He wipes them away quickly, because he knows he has no right to be upset. after witnessing your failed attempts at making one rice ball, KYO suddenly decides to join you in the kitchen, “pay attention. i’ll only teach you once.” you fight back a smile because you know he’ll keep teaching you as long as you keep asking but you don’t point that out lest he change his mind. you expect kyo to grab a handful of rice. instead, he stands right behind you and cages you in his arms, putting his hands over yours to help you mold the clump of rice you already have in your palms. when you’re reminded of his curse, you quickly spin on your heels and push him away, dropping your rice ball in the process. to your surprise, kyo doesn’t seem remotely offended by your action. he’s more focused on the clusters of rice now scattered around your feet. a click of his tongue hits your ears before you hear him say, “you just wasted a good rice ball.” however, the expression on his face is free of disappointment—a small smile slowly curls on his lips as he waits for a realization to dawn on you and eventually, it does. “you’re…” you mutter in disbelief, caressing his face as if to convince yourself you’re not dreaming, “you’re not a cat…” at your reaction, kyo’s chuckles cuts through the momentary silence before he holds you in his arms, pressing a soft kiss on the top of your head in wordless confirmation—this is real. and you immediately return his affection, not wanting to wait another second to bask in his touch. you don’t know which higher power to thank but you still find yourself silently expressing your gratitude like a prayer now that kyo’s curse is lifted. when you pull away, he reaches for the bowl of rice behind you. “this isn’t enough for the two of us,” he deadpans as if a life-changing moment didn’t just happen. you’re itching to ask him when he knew but you deem it a conversation for another time when a suggestion suddenly pops in your head. “we can go out and celebrate instead,” you say cheekily, “i’ve always wanted to try this cat café.” kyo rolls his eyes and you can’t help but laugh. “what?” you defensively exclaim in between giggles, “cats won’t cling to you anymore.”

ever since YUKI went away for college, the only time you’ve really had with each other is when he comes home to visit. you usually have an itinerary prepared but this time, yuki decides to ditch all that. “you have a surprise for me?” you teased him once on video call. yuki simply shrugged, laughing. you tried to coax it out of him but he didn’t budge. “if i told you then it wouldn’t be a surprise,” he countered and when you gave him a pout, he added, “i’ll just see you at home, okay? i love you.” so here you are now, sat in your living room while you wait for yuki to arrive. thankfully, it’s not long before you hear a click from the lock of your front door. “yuki!” you beam at the sight of him and he immediately mirrors your expression. you’re about to take his bags when he swings them out of your reach, carelessly dropping his things to the floor before he snakes his arms around your middle. in a panic, you freeze in his touch and soon, you’re attempting to shove him off of you. “yuki, your curse!” you cry but he only snuggles further into your body. and that’s when it hits you. the boy you love hasn’t turned into a rodent which can only mean one thing—there’s no more curse. you don’t know when or how and as hard as you try, you’re unable to form words to ask yuki about it with your emotions beginning to take over you. yuki only chuckles at your lack of response, “surprise.”

snap. HATORI immediately stops in his tracks upon the sudden sensation, “did you feel that?” “huh?” hatori is almost sure what he felt but he decides to brush it off at your confusion. “tori, you okay?” you ask, raising your hands to cradle his face but he involuntarily flinches at the closeness in case it triggers the curse. “sorry,” you quickly add. he shakes his head, declining your apology, “it’s fine.” you don’t talk about it any further on the rest of the way home but you’ve already reached your doorstep and he still seems distracted. you don’t want to part ways like this so you try again, “are you sure you’re feeling okay?” he doesn’t answer. “hatori?” “can i…” he starts before trailing off hesitantly. he doesn’t finish the rest of his sentence. without a word, he steps closer until there’s barely an inch between you then he wraps you in his embrace. “hatori, no!” you try to push him away in panic but you catch yourself in that same instant when you realize he hasn’t turned into a seahorse. holding your breaths, you both wait in silence for the curse to take effect but the next thing you feel is hatori’s arms tightening around you, making it clear he’s not planning on letting you go anytime soon. before your emotions can get the better of you, a chuckle is bubbling past your lips in relief, releasing any tension that has filled the air. “you have a lot of cuddles to make up for,” you tease hatori but your voice comes out weakly as you keep your tears at bay. and with you in his arms, hatori has never felt so grateful, “then let’s stay like this for a little while.”

“hi,” you beam at SHIGURE the moment he enters your home, “how was your day?” he doesn’t answer right away as if to ponder your question. “it was…” he momentarily trails off before adding, “interesting.” your eyebrows knot in confusion and that’s when you notice something’s off about him but before you can pose another question, shigure leans closer until he’s almost just about your eye level. “can i have a kiss?” he asks before he’s pouting his lips, sporting an effective pair of puppy eyes as you would expect from the dog incarnate. but all that effort only earns him a dubious look from you which elicits a dramatic sigh out of his mouth, “you know i’ve had a long day.” you can’t help but snort at his sulking but you eventually grant him his request. you’re careful to maintain a distance to avoid triggering the curse but in a swift and sudden motion, shigure pulls you flush against him as he kisses you with more fervor. your poor attempt to push him away does little to nothing against his strong arms that he can’t help but smirk against your lips. soon, he’s pulling away, his visage looking brazen as ever, “what’s wrong?” completely stunned and stupefied, you struggle to form the words on your tongue but a single thought plays in your mind—the curse is broken. when your eyes begin to well up, shigure’s cocky grin is immediately replaced with a smile so sincere that it’s such a striking contrast to the words that come out of his mouth, “we can do whatever we want.” then he’s kissing you again.

🍎​Everything in life has its good and its bad aspects about it and the same concept applies to your preferences for solitude. On the positive side, it is quite delightful to have you already self-isolating all by yourself as Fyodor can keep very easily an eye out for you. But where is the fun? He is a terrible person who believes himself to do God's work yet the diabolical things he does surpass even the deesd committed by the devil himself. Fyodor sees it as a necessity to break you and shape you into someone new and he can't help but think that it might be less amusing to watch your life crumbling away as you prefer your solitude over the company of other people. Nevertheless, if you should be someone who is less prone to show your feelings very easily, he sees it more as a challenge than anything else to see how far he must go to finally shatter you to your core. It is a sick and twisted way of thinking but it is a deed that has to be done. After all you deserve all the suffering he is about to unleash on you.

Jouno Saigiku

♦️​Your preference to spend time alone is much appreciated and welcomed by Jouno who has always been far too possessive to let other people close to you. Whenever he seeks you out, he finds you most of the time alone and enjoys the fact that he can have your attention and company all for himself most of the time. Although it does increase his spite for the people you do actually keep close as he knows that they are very special to you if you bother to hang out with them. You are a fairly calm and composed person who enjoys their quietness and that is reflected in the relaxed composition of your heartbeat. As someone who can pick up on the emotions of others easily due to his enhanced senses, this only aids further in Saigiku's obsession as your emotions don't overwhelm him. Although similar to Fyodor he still has a sadistic streak and sometimes might try to trigger your emotions to go haywire to satiate his own desire. Your racing heartbeat is lovely to listen to at times after all.

Suehiro Tetchou

🌸​Tetchou is fairly normal for someone who has an unhealthy obsession going on but if you compare him to people like Saigiku, it should be no surprise. On the other hand he is quite dense at times and may make wrong assumptions which is unfortunately what happens in your case. He assumes that your preference to be alone is because you have social anxiety, even if that may simply not be the case. Growing from this hasty assumption of his, he grows more protective over you to the point where he actually ends up isolating you even if you want to spend time with others. Convinced that he is doing you a favor, he ends up taking over every social interaction of yours as you aren't even allowed to order something from the staff in a restaurant as he instead insists on doing so for you. It may not look like much but it can very much turn into a smothering overprotective behavior where your social skills drastically reduce themselves due to the social isolation he puts you through.

Sigma

☁️​You give him almost constantly anxiety due to your withdrawn personality which has him actively struggling out of fear that you'd be annoyed if he would attempt to talk with you. He doesn't want you to direct any negative feelings his way as he is much too sensitive for that so instead Sigma starts stalking and spying on you to collect as much information about you as possible. Knowledge is a weapon after all and he hopes that by finding out more about you, he can find a suitable way to approach you without getting on your nerves. He is most likely overthinking it all yet it's not like someone could just explain this to him. He does learn to appreciate it more later on as he can spend all of his time alone with you without having to worry about you expressing unhappiness about the isolation due to your preference os being alone. As foolish as it may be, he even has high hopes that you will forgive him the abduction he is currently planning as you have never been a fan of being under people to begin with.

Sohma Yuki

🐭​Yuki has been admiring you from a distance for a long time yet for multiple reasons he has never approached you before. Sometimes he wonders if you are someone like him though as he often sees you all by yourself, not bothering to mingle with other students. He wishes to talk with you yet his low self-confidence and his popularity have always kept him from doing so. When he eventually gathers the courage to seek you out and start a conversation with you, he only finds himself falling more for you. He feels comfortable and safe in your presence and the fact that most of the time you are by yourself only aids his secretly possessive side as he claims that time alone he has with you. Yuki quickly learns where he can find you when he feels the need to see you and sees it through that no one follows him so that no one can disturb the time he wants to have with you for himself. Things take a bad turn when he finds himself dependent on you though whenever he feels anxious or very stressed, leading him to suffer from a mental breakdown when he can't find you anywhere.

Sohma Kyo

🐈​Kyo may not show it but he feels initially worried when he catches you most of the time away from others, instead sitting all by yourself. He wonders if people don't like you or if you are very anxious yet he soon comes to realise that you just simply prefer to be by yourself. It does give him relief to know that he has nothing to worry about yet it also makes it more difficult to approach you, even though he has sworn to not get to know you due to the deal he made with Akito. The heart does what it wants though and so he finds himself commonly hiding from your sight as he watches how you spend time by yourself, reading a book or doing some work for school. It isn't enough to quench the longing in his heart yet he reminds himself that staying away from you is for the best. Kyo is very protective though and whenever he overhears someone calling you weird for always being alone, he reacts defensive and brash as he lashes out on the students for talking about you like this.

Tohru's Cousin Headcannon's

Original Story

First Impressions

Yuki was shocked that you seemed a lot more shy than your cousin but in some ways that made you easier to talk to, at least for him. You were the only girl that he knew that could talk to him without his reputation getting in the way. He liked being around you, you didn’t have to talk, sometimes just sitting in the same room while talking would be enough.

Kyo thought you were weird, no two ways about it. Just like he thought Tohru was. Kyo didn’t like many people but you weren’t the worst person that he had ever come across. It takes Kyo a while to warm up to anyone so no one would be surprised if you were scared of him, he tried to be a little more gentle with you but that wasn’t really something that Kyo was very good at.

Ayame decided that he was your friend the moment that you walked into the room, he didn’t need to know you to know that you’d make a good addition to the three man team that they had. Ayame knew that he could be a bit much so he waited for one of the others to talk to you before he inserted himself into the conversation. You seemed to be a little wary of him and took a backseat when he did involve himself but he was sure that you were smiling under your hand.

Hatori could see that you were an anxious individual and was the one to take a step back when you met everyone else, he waited until he was introduced to you. You were an open book to anyone that was willing to read you. Hatori noted the similarities between the two of you, it’s likely that you would grow close to him as time moved on.

Hatsuharu is the most respectful after Hatori when he meets you, soft spoken and sweet, easy to talk to considering how much younger than you he is. Haru would often be protective of you though because of your more reserved personality, you had been nothing but kind to him and he refused to let anyone hurt or take advantage of you.

Getting To Know You

Yuki actually becomes something like a little brother to you both of you spending time together, you’d often listen when he needed someone to talk to offer your opinion when asked and just sit with him sometimes. You weren’t an overbearing presence so he didn’t mind you being around, you connected through books but as time went on you became closer even without it.

Kyo tried his hardest not to sound harsh and it was appreciated as you started to realise that he didn’t always mean things the way that they sounded. You started to read between the lines and when you were comfortable enough even told him he didn’t have to change the way that he talked for you to feel more comfortable (of course he denied that was what he was doing). Kyo was in many ways aggressively shy and once you realised that he was also easy to talk to, he’d often ease up around you and speak more freely especially when there was no one else around.

Ayame invited you everywhere, if he was doing something and he needed a friend, you were the one that he called on, mostly because he wanted to make you feel welcome. When he first met you he could see that acceptance was something that you struggled to get from others so he’d so you that you were accepted as you were here. Ayame was easily the most forthcoming, he invited you for tea and coaxed you to talk for hours, he definitely knew the most about you after Tohru.

Hatori would often run into you in town and make small conversation with you but it was during social events that involved more than just 2 people that you really got to know each other. Hatori would often find you hiding in a corner somewhere or getting overwhelmed by the number of people that were around, he’d make up some kind of excuse and take somewhere a lot quieter. This was when you would end up having deeper conversations, Hatori admitted that he was much like you and struggled with events like this so he told you that if you were both there you would both find a way to sneak off and get away from it all (if his family didn’t need him to be there of course).

Hatsuharu is likely to come to you when there’s a problem with Yuki or one of the others, funny enough he trusts you to take care of them more than the others in the family, especially Yuki. Dark scared you at first but it wasn’t long before he was figured out too, Haru liked that you didn’t treat him any different, Dark barely came out around you but when you were faced with him he was still brash and violent but it was never towards you in fact Haru seemed to calm down a lot quicker around you returning to his normal self.

How Your Relationship Settles

Yuki does treat you like an older sister, while his relationship with Ayame does improve with your help, he does come to you often for advice no matter what the situation is. You never tease him or try to get more than what he wants to give and your opinion always helps. He hated that you ended up getting hurt because of their family drama and definitely came to check up on you when Shigure distanced himself.

Kyo often came to you when he needed to hide, when you were working you’d let him into the back room, even Miss Okai became fond of him. While he was there Kyo would help you move things around and clean up the store, if he was around when someone decided to make a mess you better believe he’s yelling at them to clean it up so you don’t have to. Kyo actually liked being around you, you never forced him to talk or act a certain way and even hid him from people that he didn’t want to deal with, you were a nice escape for him when Tohru wasn’t available.

Ayame loved you for everything you were and the person that he watched you grow into, you hadn’t changed in the slightest but you seemed so much more comfortable with who you were, at least around him. He didn’t mind that you didn’t talk too much because he knew that you were listening to him, especially when you appeared with small gifts that he had talked about in your previous talks. He was the one that you would talk to if you were having problems with Shigure because he would tell you if you were being too meek or accepting of something and encourage you to speak up.

Hatori treated you like a little sister. He was protective of you, made sure to keep an eye on you and make sure that you were okay. He always kept the promise to get you out of any situation that you felt uncomfortable in, all except one and he apologises every time it’s brought up, no matter how many times you tell him it’s not his fault. Hatori would often ask you for book recommendations and you would often spend time talking about it afterwards.

Hatsuharu sought you out a lot, he liked to hand around when the shop was empty because he could ask you to read to him, I think Haru likes to read but often gets distracted or frustrated so having some read to him works very well and you were patient enough when he needed you to reread something or explain it to him. He continues to be protective of you and makes sure that people know not to mess with you, he and Hatori often work together to keep you safe, coordinating so they know that the other is with you if you finish late (if Shigure wasn’t there already which was rare).

He was watching tv when you came up kissing him leaving him confused and shocked as he tries to process what had just happened

He will get up going after you asking why you kissed him thinking it was some type of prank from Yuki

He will be surprised when he finds out that is not the reason why you kissed him but instead that you wanted to because of your feelings for him

He would ask why and as you explain he can feel his heart swell with warmth grabbing you and kissing you back and after that the two of you were together

Tohru

She was cooking dinner when you came in giving her a smile and getting one by her in return as she covers the pot of rice

You helped her with the stir fry washing your hands and before she knew it you grabbed her and gently kissed her immediately walking out of the room after

Tohru came into your room later that night asking you about earlier in the kitchen and at dinner making you turn a bright red telling her your feelings for her making her smile and giggle in the pillow she was holding

She leaned in kissing you as you reciprocated smiling big both of you giggling as you moved over letting her lay down next to you talking and watching tv until you both fell asleep

Yuki

The two of you were walking home from school as you did a lot of the time due to your parents work schedules so you helped each other with homework and hung out together and sometimes with his family

The two of you had feelings for each other for awhile and you decided the night before you were finally gonna tell him of your feelings but instead you went for it and kissed him when you were a block away from his house

He was surprised but couldn't talk to you due to you hiding in Tohru's room after bursting in and telling her everything that had happened until he gently took you in his room and talk

After talking for awhile the two of you planned to go out on a date that next weekend sealing the promise with a kiss before going downstairs where tohru secretly smiles as you sat down next to each other for dinner

Kyo Sohma x Male Reader

Okay, so, I actually love the thought of queer relationships between the zodiac. It's always been very cute to me, plus it would save them from turning into an animal when they want affection.

Also, for these headcanons, let's just say that trans men/transmascs don't have any effect so that it stays inclusive! (I know Fruits Basket isn't the most trans-inclusive, but we're ignoring that)

Anyway, this would most likely take place before you two start dating. I doubt he'd be the type to commit to a relationship before revealing this part of himself. He's not good at this sort of thing.

So, right now, y'all are just friends. Most likely, you met at school. You're in the same class, or you met through one of his cousins/Tohru.

At first, he avoided you. It had nothing to do with you in particular - he just hates being social. Eventually, you do manage to interact with him, and he decides you're chill enough to be around. So you two become friends.

One day, you, Kyo, Tohru, and Yuki are hanging out outside of school. This is the first time you've hung out with them outside of school, so this is new territory for you. Specifically, the four of you went to the library to study for an upcoming test.

You sat in a back corner, away from everyone else. Tohru had gotten up to go grab a book, but she tripped over the leg of the chair. Kyo was sitting next to her, and he's the one she falls into. Suddenly, there's a puff of smoke, and when it clears, you see Tohru holding an orange cat, and Kyo is nowhere to be seen.

Tohru and Yuki look panicked, and you're confused. The two of them scramble to come up with some kind of explanation, but all you can think about is how adorable the cat is. You assume it's Kyo, although you couldn't explain what happened.

Tohru had put Kyo down by this point, and he walks across the table to get to you. His eyes have the same deadpan look they usually do, which is funnier in his cat form. Sensing no hostility from you, Yuki and Tohru are able to calm down a little bit, and Yuki is able to get a proper explanation out. You process only some of his words, too focused on how cute Kyo looks.

Without much thought, you scoop him up in your arms, gently holding him close. Kyo makes a startled noise, but doesn't struggle too much. Yuki looks amused as he ushers Tohru away, intent on giving you two some alone time.

Kyo asks you what you think you're doing, and you're shocked he can still speak in this form. You shyly explain that you just thought he looked cute, and your body kind of just moved on its own. You go to put him down, but he doesn't budge from your arms. It's barely audible, but you swear you heard him say something about him enjoying the embrace. You chuckle at that as you hold him tighter. If you listen closely, you can almost hear him purring softly.

Then, another puff of smoke appears. When it dissipates, you see Kyo standing in front of you, back to his regular human form. Except for the fact that he's completely naked. You turn away, flustered that you saw him in such a state. Kyo also turns around, tripping over himself as he looks for his clothes. Neither of you speak a word, and it's around this time that Yuki and Tohru make their return.

Yuki still looks amused by the situation, choosing to tease Kyo. Tohru is immediately flustered, still not used to seeing the boys after they transform back. As the boys continue fighting, Tohru comes up to you, asking if you're okay. She knows from personal experience that this kind of situation can be startling, so she wants to make sure that you're feeling alright. When you respond in the affirmative, she smiles.

Kyo and Yuki stop bickering, and Kyo is fully dressed once again. He can't quite make eye contact with you, but he does apologize for what happened, if in his own tsundere way. You laugh a bit, explaining that you're fine, just a bit shocked at what just happened. The three nod, as they can all understand how you feel.

By this point, none of you are in the mood for studying anymore, so you decide to pack up for the night. As you walk out of the library, you turn away from them, as your home is in the opposite direction of where they live. However, you feel something grab your hand, and when you turn to look, you see Kyo. He's still not making eye contact, and his face is a little red, but his grip on your hand is strong.

Quietly, he asks if he can walk you home. You're shocked, and you can hear Tohru cheering in the background as Yuki tries to silence her. After a moment to recover from the shock, you smile and him and squeeze his hand, accepting his offer. He makes eye contact with you for the first time since the incident, and you can see a small smile appear on his face. He tells the others that he'll meet them at home, and you're on the way to your house.

As you walk, Kyo explains everything in as much detail as he can. He leaves out all of his family drama, as that's a story for another day, but he does bring up his curse and how it works. You jokingly remark that he wouldn't transform with you, since you're both boys, and he laughs a bit at that. He gestures to your hands, still interlocked, and states that even holding hands with a girl would cause him to transform. That makes you laugh as well.

Soon you're back home, and he drops you off at your door. He squeezes your hand one last time before letting it go, and he asks if you'd like to hang out again, to which your agree. You do make one more sly comment about wanting to see him as a cat again, telling him that he looked oh so adorable. He groans, but it's all in good humor. He leaves, already thinking of plans for next time.

The two of you don't start dating right away. It takes more time, but this is the first major step. Also, he's willing to be more affectionate with you because he knows he won't transform. It's nothing more than hand-holding on leaning against you for right now, but when you do start dating, he gets very clingy, especially in public.

You don't get to see him transform that often since you don't cause any of his transformations, but when you do get to see it, it's always a treat. He gets so flustered when he transforms, and it worsens when he transforms back to human. You've gotten used to the nakedness after the first few times, but he never quite does, especially when you're around. It's cute.

You laid next to Kagura, scrolling on your phone in one hand as your other laid a cold pack to her forehead. She had overworked herself by cooking a bunch of food for the Sohma's ever since Kyo got back.

♡ "What am I going to do with you? Once you set your mind towards something it's like I can't even stop you!"

You let out a small chuckle and she reciprocated by playfully shooing you.

"You're so lucky I can't show you my gratitude in this condition!! How will I thank you?"

Sighing a nervous breath you reached over to place your hand in hers, thankfully she hasn't pulled her hand away yet. You looked at her with adoration, the time was now.

♡ "How about, an outing? We get together and we go watch this new movie! Or you could.. consider it a date? If you want. I really like you Kagura, you're beautiful and considerate. I just want to show you the affection you give other people, you deserve it."

She looked at you with a shocked expression, a mix of melancholy and relief. Like she had been waiting for you.

"Of course! I can't go like this now can I? I might transform in the middle of the theatre!" Kagura giggled before sneezing and looked at you.

"Stay with me?" She held out a hand, you gladly took it.

YUKI:

You caught him sleeping in the living room futon with a high fever, you told him it wasn't a good idea to go out in the rain but he persisted. He sat up to talk to you as the hot soup you were heating up wasn't ready yet.

"I'm fine, truly! I.. aah ACHOO!"

You rolled your eyes playfully at him and gently pushed him back so he was laying down.

♡ "Sure, sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night."

He sighed and shook his head. "I can't be late tomorrow, can you help me? I'll do my best to repay you, of course- choo!" Another sneeze.

♡ "No way, you are definitely not going in this condition. Besides, I'm happy to help you! You mean a lot to me."

He felt his heartstrings being tugged at, or was that because of the sickness? Who knows. You got a bucket and filled it with cold water, you sat next to Yuki and dipped a towel in. After squeezing the water out; you placed it on his forehead.

♡ "Sorry, you're gonna be here for a while Sohma."

He sighed, he looked at you with a grateful smile though. Always kind.

"Thank you anyways, I appreciate your help. It has been more manageable with you here." You gave a little smile to him.

♡ "In my opinion, everything is a lot more manageable when you're around. That's why I'm so drawn to you, you're so sweet to be around."

It's now or never.

♡ "I really like you."

His heart raced, Yuki stared at you with a bit of worry and unease. But it soon turned into a soft expression, a longing one. "I was worried you didn't feel the same, guess I was wrong." He reached up and caressed a piece of your hair near your face.

"I suppose a date is in order then?"

You happily nodded. "You gotta get some sleep though! I'll be waiting, Yuki."

"Y..Yuki.." He mumbled as he fell backwards.

A giant poof appeared as blue smoke appeared, a rat landed onto the pillow with a small 'plop'. He was asleep.

Arisa (Uo)

"Ha! Yeah right. Who's your other partner? Hana?"

You anticipated that she would not fall for this prank of yours, so you had been prepared. Like rehearsed, Hana suddenly came through the door.

"Y/N, are you ready for our date?"

This caused Uo's jaw to drop.

Hatori

He would give you a tired glare when you appear before him and tug at his sleeve. Even though you knew he knew what you were doing, you still did it. It was fun. To you, sure. To him, not so much as you had gotten Shigure & Ayame doing it.

"This is the 10th time you have done this, Y/N. While I'm not so bothered by you doing it, Shigure & Ayame have somehow gotten involved. You wouldn't know anything about that, would you?"

"No of course not."

Kureno

You weren't expecting him to laugh and let you know that he knew of this prank. He would pull you in for a hug before mentioning that he was your only partner.

"Aw! Who told you? It was Shigure, wasn't it?"

"Actually it was Ayame."

It would be then that he notices your pout and rests his forehead against yours. "If you do it again, I'll make sure to hide, okay?"

Kyo

As usual, you catch him off guard and he rushes to find somewhere to hide. He hadn't really even thought about what you said. He would be hiding behind a chair in a kitchen when Yuki would see him and laugh at him.

"What are you laughing at?"

"Stupid cat. You're their boyfriend."

"Y/N!"

Momiji

Rather than rushing to find a hiding spot, he would worry that it was true. It couldn't be, right? By the look on your face, you seemed pretty serious. His heart would break a little. He needed to know.

"Do you really have another partner, Y/N?"

Saki (Hana)

Honestly? She'd humor you when you run over to her giggling. She just liked seeing you smile. And honestly, some of these things you came up with also got her to laugh.

"Oh no. Wherever should I hide?"

Shigure

He would smirk when you'd come up to him while he was writing. You really thought you could mess with him, Y/N? Well, he could play that game.

"Is that so? Just in time for them to see who really knows how to take care of you. Shall we head to the bedroom while we wait for them?"

Tohru

She would blink a few times before rushing to find a hiding spot. She didn't want to be seen by your- wait a minute. You got her again. She would laugh and tell you that she would surely get you back.

Yuki

He would have been sleeping when you come into the bedroom and whisper it to him. So in his sleepy state, he gets outs of bed and walks downstairs. He almost makes it outside the door when Shigure's loud and confused voice fully wakes him. Expect to be the victim of his death glare.

“hi,” you greet KYO with a perky tone that has him eyeing you suspiciously as you sidle up next to him. “what are you up to?” he asks and you can’t help but roll your eyes. “nothing. i just wanted to ask you something.” kyo doesn’t respond but he’s looking at you in anticipation so you continue, “would you kiss me for $10 or the prettiest girl in the world for $700?” it’s his turn to give you a quick eye roll which earns him a playful slap on the arm. “answer my question.” he sighs in resignation before replying definitively, “i’d kiss you for ten dollars.” “wow,” you drawl but a teasing smile tugs at your lips, “so you don’t think i’m the prettiest girl in the world?” kyo lightly bonks your head. “i already answered your question.”

sitting on an empty curb not too far from campus, a young man stares at an open, distant sky. watching the shadows on the moon pass slowly, a cold shiver breaks into the air. tokyo emits a very different sound, at least in comparison to his rather secluded hometown. it used to be quiet (sometimes eerily so). without the chirping of cicadas during summer, it was relatively silent. tokyo, on the other hand, always had a buzz to it. while the stars are harder to see because of the bright lights, a new opportunity looms over him like a neon sign, blaring a turquoise green. 

the thought of pursuing college far from home excited him. it was a chance for him to see more of japan. a breath of fresh air, if you could call tokyo’s weighted atmosphere that. these gleeful thoughts bubble up in the pits of his stomach, contrasting with the deep, sinking feeling of being alone. no longer surrounded by chatty girls or taunts from older men looking for a babe, people pass by him as if he is nothing more but paper to the wind. it felt nice yet so isolating at the same time. making friends was much easier when people came up to you. 

opening his phone, he flips through some of the photos his friends sent. machi, one of the student body members from high school, posted a cute photo of her and kakeru at a cafe. the latter had a bright smile and a peace sign held up. she recently learned about an app called ‘bereal’ in which you could post live photos at random points in the day. 

holding the camera up to his face, yuki tries to smile. the dim lighting of the street light made him look paler than usual, and his surroundings weren’t very interesting. unable to take a good picture, he sets it aside. it’d look extremely uncool if he took a photo alone, especially this late at night. without a doubt, kakeru would comment with something unique and snarky. 

other photos include kyo and tohru visiting a local park. the two of them were lying on a pink colored blanket. the two of them were on a picnic date, accompanied by the sight of familiar riceballs and fruits. seeing their smiles, even for a little bit, had him missing the sound of their voice. the gruff tone from kyo, the chipper personality of tohru, he might even go as far as to say he missed a bit of shigure. 

But a voice broke through just before the weight of his thoughts threatened to pull him under.

“what are you doing alone?” a woman approaches him, wearing a unique style that would turn anybody’s head on the street, even if it was tokyo. what looks to be a heavy guitar case is slung over her shoulder, the gleam of its hardware catching the streetlight’s sparkle. there was a plush keychain attached to the strap. a white rabbit. swinging back and forth hypnotically. it swayed back and forth alongside the shivering winds.

with the slight curve in her smile and the twinkle in her eyes, everything was magnetic. eyes unable to leave her as she came closer, he didn’t realize how easily she closed the distance between them. her voice was smooth, almost like soft tofu. 

he didn’t want to repeat the same thoughts, but this one didn’t leave him: she was someone he wanted to know more about.

Request: I'd love to see Yuki end up with someone who is blind, someone who appreciates him for who he is like Tohru. Please and thank you!

Yuki had seen you around the school many times and for the most part you were never alone, which was probably the reason that he never noticed that you suffered with any ailments. That being said Yuki never really saw you leave the classroom unless it was the end of the day and when you were with friends you never used the cane.

The first time that Yuki saw you using the cane and realised that you were blind, he was out getting some supplies for school when he caught sight of you, for once alone dragging your hand over the shelf where the braille labels told you what was on the shelf, he was stunned by the revelation, his eyes lingering on the cane for a second before he realised that he was standing in your way and there was no way that you would know that, he sidestepped and your head turned in his direction “thank you.” was all you said but it caused his chest to warm. “No problem.” He answered, he watched you go with the small bounty from your own shopping trip. Yuki didn’t expect that to stick in his mind but it did so the next time that he saw you he decided to talk to you.

The second time that he ended up in the same room as you was the day that neither of you were able to take part in a school event because of your health issues, you had both been moved to the library where you would spend the majority of your day. You had been reading a book that you had brought, again on with a braille translation under the words. Yuki was sitting across the table going through some of the work from the student council, he figured he would get it done now instead of waiting until after school. His eyes kept drifting to you though, he couldn’t help it. “You know I can feel you staring at me even if I am blind.” You informed him. “I’m sorry I just-” Your giggle stopped his panicked response. “Don’t sound so panicked, I’m not offended or anything.” You said as you placed your book down hand moving to the place that he had watched you put the bookmark down before slotting it into the book folding your arms in front of you and placing them on the table. “So what are you staring at?” “I’m not… It’s just that you seem… There’s no way to say this without being offensive.” Yuki finally admitted leaning back in his chair, leg bouncing under the table. “Then just say it.” You prompted, Yuki bit his lip as he thought about denying your request but the way that you looked directly at him, he was sure that you didn’t know that he was there but with the tinted glasses it made him feel like you were. “You seem so capable.” He explained “I always saw you with someone else with you but when I moved out of your way at that shop and now you don’t seem like you need someone with you all the time.” “Because I don’t.” You shrugged “but people will never believe that, it doesn’t matter how many times I show them that I don’t need a babysitter because what would that mean to them?” “People smother you?” He asked. “You must get the same thing, you know since you are here with me and not out there with the rest of them.” You muttered almost like you were worried that what you were saying could be entirely wrong. “Not that I’m not grateful to the people that help me I-” “Now you're panicking.” Yuki smirked as he started to relax around you. “Right.” You nodded more it seemed to himself then anyone else. “There you have it. I don’t need the help but I accept it because it makes people feel better.” “Maybe I can save you from that some time.” Yuki suggested. “Yeah I think that would be nice.” You answered.

He wasted no time in making good on that promise one day at lunch he walked into your classroom, every girl watch with bated breath as he walked into the room each sighing as he walked past them without even looking at them, he stopped in front of your desk and cleared his throat “I remember promising to save you.” He said softly almost as if he wanted it to remain a secret between the two of you and really he did. “I thought you were lying.” You said softly as you turned your head in his direction. “Did you really?” He asked. “I had no reason to doubt you.” You admitted as you stood, grabbing your bag with a little trouble before he took your hand and wrapped it around his arm. “Is there anywhere that you want to go?” He asked. “They never let me go to the roof.” You answered. “Alright, do you have lunch?” He asked. “Yes.” You answered. When you got to the roof you both settled and you pulled out a simple box with a sandwich in it. “Thank you for bringing me out here.” “It’s no problem.” He waved you off, remembering halfway through the action that you couldn’t see him. “So are you going to tell me your name before you murder me?” You teased. “I’m not going to murder you.” He denied as he rolled his eyes. “But you're not going to tell me your name either?” You asked. “It’ll change things.” He answered, his mind immediately travelling to the way that all the girls in school treated him, the last two interactions have been so easy, he didn’t want his name to change that for you and ruin it for him. “Then what can I call you?” You asked. “What do you want to call me?” He asked. “I’ll call you Hero.” You answered. “Hero?” He asked. “You saved me, remember, my hero.” You explained finally taking a bite of your sandwich. “What about your name?” He asked. “You get mine when I get yours.” You answered. “Then I guess I’ll just call you Princess until I know.” He shrugged, he hoped that would push you to tell him but instead you smirked and nodded. “Sounds good to me.” You mumbled leaning back against the fence to continue eating.

Yuki went home with a smile on his face that day and everyone noticed “Yuki seems happy today.” Shigure observed as he looked at the boy in the kitchen. “Yeah he’s been hanging out with some girl.” Kyo mumbled “saw them on the roof the other day.” “Yeah, everyone at school was talking about it, he went to the classroom to get her, her name is (Y/N), she’s blind so maybe he’s been helping you.” Tohru explained. “Blind, I didn’t know there was anyone like that at your school.” Shigure said, hand moving to his hand to his chin in thought. “I’ve never talked to her myself but I’m just happy that he’s made a new friend, ever after the curse was broken he didn’t seem to be any different but maybe it just took some time for him to get used to the freedom.” Tohru shrugged. “Whatever as long as he’s not bothering me.” Kyo waved them off as he leaned back on his elbows, they all stopped talking as they heard the sound of someone coming down the stairs. “I’m going out, don’t wait up!” Yuki called as he walked out of the door, they all sat in silence for a second before looking at each other. “I’m happy for him.” Tohru finally said before she continued to make dinner.

The next day at lunch Yuki came to get you again, this time you both took a walk around the school grounds. It was a nice day and you had said that you wanted to enjoy it without people trying fretting over everything that you did. “Is there somewhere to sit?” You asked, head moving in the direction that you knew your hero was in. “There is, would you like to sit down?” He asked. “If that’s not too much trouble.” You answered, he made a soft noise before guiding you to the bench you were slightly behind him and of course you didn’t see the person heading towards you, they crashed into you, Yuki’s hand moving to your waist with impressive speed to keep you steady. “Hey, watch it!” He yelled. “Sorry Yuki!” Someone yelled, that was his name Yuki. Like Yuki Sohma, Yuki wasn’t an unusual name so you couldn’t be sure but that might be because everyone always seemed so shocked when he walked into the classroom to come get you. “Thank you, my hero.” You smiled. “You can use my name, I know you heard it.” He said and you shrugged. “You never told me your name as far as I’m concerned the game isn’t over.” You answered “unless you want to tell me now.” “My name is Yuki Sohma.” He answered. “Nice to meet you Yuki, my name’s (Y/N) (L/N).” You introduced yourself. “So why didn’t you want to tell me who you were?” “I liked having a friend who liked me for me, people treat me like a prince, just like they treat you like you're fragile, I liked what we had were we treated each other like real people.” Yuki answered. “Now why would that have to change?” You asked, he blinked at you “it won’t change to me.” “It won’t?” He asked. “Well actually I really like you so maybe we could explore that.” You shrugged playing with your fingers, you heard him shuffling before his hand wrapped around yours. “I would like that.” He smiled. “Good let’s do that.” You nodded, the day continued as normal with Yuki walking your home before telling you that he’d pick you up on Saturday for a date much to your excitement.
