My lil picky eater Van Gogh! V.G. for short.

I gave him that name due to his coloration when I first got him from the pet store.

He was very beautiful but days after I took him home, his colors started to change! This worried me so I looked it up and turns out bettas get hella stressed being in such a small container it causes their colors to fade. But once you take good care of them it’ll bring out their true colors! V.G. may not look like clouds anymore but he’s still a beautiful boy and I love him.

On another note, if you ever think about getting your own betta fish please please PLEASE do NOT get a tank that’s “made” for bettas or stick them in a vase. They need at least a 5 gallon tank (the one I have) to swim around and things to hide in. It seems big for one lil fish but they need it. If bettas weren’t so ferocious I would save some more from the pet store.
