Summary: you get caught in the rain on your way to Professor Miller’s house and your lesson gets derailed.

I spent the longest time writing and editing this fic and the story was constantly changing in my head. The initial idea was actually a non-con fic which is insane, considering that in the end I wrote my softest Joel ever. It was also challenging bc I expressed a lot of my own fears and thoughts through reader and as a result I felt quite vulnerable, posting it. I’m happy and grateful that the story received positive feedback and became my most popular fic which was my biggest surprise🙏🥹

I should start by saying that unfortunately I’m not good with series. Both writing and reading. I’m a one shot girlie through and through. That’s why I’m extra proud that I wrote the final part of this/any series. (yes, there’s also gonna be an epilogue👀) Part 6 wasn’t easy to write. The love the series has got and keeps getting makes me very happy but I felt pressure, writing the chapter, bc I didn’t want to disappoint my readers. I hope I didn’t❤️

"and there you go, sweetheart" your voice was gentle and warm as you dressed the final child, bundling her in her small coat and scarf while her father behind dressed her in her tiny boots and gloves.

she ran off to join the others by the front door, all four girls were eagerly trying to rush out the door. practically falling over each other as they whined to play in the park. it only prompted price and simon sighing as they reached forwards to hold their respective child while johnny gently held his baby's hand to pull her back and gaz holding her over his shoulders to steady her

"are you ready, sweetheart?" price called out for you as you walked down the stairs, grabbing the baby bag on your way and nodding softly. all four men stood tall, smiling softly as you placed your shoes on and then nodded slowly at the girls who were all pouting stuck in their fathers arms

"let's go" your chuckle follows through as you open the front door

the snow had finally settled on the grass as you took your seat on the bench, looking at the family you had created with pure love

"that's my girl. big jump, honey" simon laughed softly, opening his arms to catch her as he gently swung her in the air. that prompted her to shriek in delight, bursting into giggles which only caused him to look on in pure fondness. his lips finding their way to her little temple, securing the softest kiss he could possibly muster. finding the most happiness here, in moments like these where her smile was as big as ever and her eyes sparkling with pure happiness just being around him and the family.

"there you are, love. right as rain" price chuckled gently, peeling away a princess bandaid as he tenderly stuck it on her knee before reaching down and pressing a soft kiss over the wound. she sniffled, choosing not to play just yet as she snuggled further into her fathers warmth and he welcomed her with open arms. pulling her into his lap as he rubbed her small back, chuckling softly at the others

"duck bonnie! uncle gaz is attacking us!" soap gasped dramatically, his tone full of mischief protecting his daughter from the snowball that hit his back. the small girl gasped excitedly, ducking behind her father as she giggled with delight coming out unscathed from the snowballs. johnny laughed softly, watching the snowball meet his chest and then crumble on the floor right above his foot. gaz and his daughter both had matching cheeky grins pulled on their lips paired with narrowed eyes, planning their battle as they immediately got to work.

and you sat by the bench watching with contentment, hearing them call for you to join their battle but watching with a soft tenderness for a second. knowing that this moment was already burned into your memory to replay countlessly

I think i’m maybe a little over halfway done with this part. it’s been a lil heartbreaking to write, but i’ll save the angst and let you guys have some fluff. Consider this a buffer to the full part💖

You dried your body off and let your hair out of its bun. Jake dug through his dresser to find clothes. “Do you want shorts, or just a t-.” When he turned to face you, you were already in bed, tucked beneath the duvet. “Did you even put underwear on?”

You gave him an innocent smile as you shook your head. “Come to bed, Jakey.” He flicked the overhead light off and turned the lamp on his nightstand on. You watched as he pulled the towel from his body and climbed into bed with you. “I just wanna be close to you.” You rolled into him, resting your head on his chest and tangling your legs with his. After a few quiet moments, you felt Jake shift, his erection leaving a prominent tent in the comforter. You let out a quiet giggle and moved your leg, letting your knee nudge his cock. “We can’t just cuddle without interruption?” You raised your eyebrow as you looked at him.

He pushed your body off his, moving to lay on top of you. “Your beautiful naked body is draped over me. He was a proud father, always carrying his son everywhere when he was off work. Well, being a royal and a Captain of a squad, he was still fairly busy but he tried his best balancing between work and family time.

The first thing he does when he comes home is to give hugs and kisses to you, followed by blowing raspberries into his son's little tummy.

He was addicted to how his baby smelt, like fresh flowers and cinnamon. Your son loved it when his daddy played with him and tickled his tummy. Nozel was absolutely intoxicated with the sound of his laughters and he would do it again and again until your baby boy was tired.

One night, after he was done with his little play time and Nozel finally set him back in his cot, (after a firm glare from you saying that baby "needs his sleep time NOW.") your son sat in his cot and suddenly called out, "KITH! KITH!"

The both of you stared at him before looking at each other, you looking unamused and he was giving you that proud smirk. He walked over and carried your son out again, "you like them belly kisses don't you?"

"Kith!" your son raised his little limbs in the air as your husband chuckled.

You couldn't help but watch your two boys, your heart overflowing with adoration, never wanting to forget this image before you.

You knew that your man was slighty the worrywart when it came to you or your daughter, but sometimes especially on days like this, you felt he was just being over protective.

"Honey, we can't be taking care of her forever, so why not let us both attend to our schedules and let the nanny take care of her, for a day?" you had to emphasize the last few words of your sentence to highlight to your husband that it was just one day.

"But darling, she's just barely 1.."

"Yeah? And she has NEVER left our side." you raised your eyebrows at him.

He sighed a little as he slumped his shoulders. Giving you the pout that told you that he was unhappy but he didn't have a choice.

You rolled your eyes at your dramatic husband, "Look, we'll be back after we're both done with our work, so it'll be even lesser than a day. Besides, the nanny has been taking care of her along with us for months."

The day soon came, much to Fue's dismay and he was having the hardest time leaving her for work.

"Daddy's gonna miss you my princess," he ruffled her hair gently.

"Alright now pumpkin," you cooed at your beautiful crimson haired daughter, pulling your husband away, "say byebye to daddy and mommy! We'll see you tonight!"

"Buh... BYE!" your daughter jumped a little in her cot cherrily.

Your husband stood there staring at her with his jaws dropped as you let out a little laugh at how amusing this entire situation was.

Fue was unsure of how he was supposed to feel at the situation; on one hand happy that his baby girl was growing up and learning how to talk, but at the same time he felt upset that his little princess was learning how to say goodbye to him and that one day she wouldn't need him in her life anymore. He seemed to be feeling more of the latter though, judging at how his heart was feeling a little achey.

"Now can you finally leave her to the nanny, love?" you teased your husband, leaving him to lick his wounds all by himself.

"Yami. How many times have I said not to play too rough with s/n?" you chided your hubby as he was throwing your son too high into the air.

"He's enjoying it though baby, look at him!" he proceed to throw your son high in the air again as he burst into fits of laughter.

"He's gonna get nightmares if he plays like this, honey.." you stared at him, "And don't be dead asleep on me when your son cries the entire night, or I'll kick you out of bed."

"Okay okay," he set your little boy back down into his playpen. Your son started pouting, unhappy that his playtime was over. He raised his hands in the air, asking for more.

"Can't get enough of your dad can you, little man?" Your husband looked proudly at his son, who was the spitting image of him, "daddy's your favourite, right?"

"Ma!" your boy called out.

"No, you mean Dada." Yami narrowed his eyes at the little him, earning a playful swat on his bicep from you.

"Ma..ma!" your son called again as you laughed, ruffling his soft locks. It was the most proudest moment of your life, your son speaking his first words and the first words were calling for you.

"Geez, s/n," Yami stood arms akimbo, "you look like me, but you're just like your mom aren't ya? Always breaking my fragile heart of glass.."

You looked over at your husband, wanting to comment something but the look on his face changed your mind. He was just as proud as you were. Although his words and actions didn't show it, his face betrayed him. He was feeling just as emotional as you were, witnessing your child's first word.

This is my first time publishing something I’ve written on here so be nice to me, please 🧍‍♀️ my skills are, clearly, not superb, and I suck at describing things- but I did put my heart into this, cause I relate to what Soojin is thinking.

Another thing to note: This was written as an AU, a mythical creature AU, to be exact. I don’t think it explicitly depicts that in this little snippet, but in this AU; Soojin is a banshee and Shuhua is a nymph, they and the rest of I-dle live in a forest. Anything said/done in this shouldn’t be taken literally cause, again, this is an AU :]

The girl didn't know what was going on, the just wanted to have a cozy day at home, but the younger girl was insistent, and despite what she tells everyone, Soojin just can't say no to that cute face. So here she was, being dragged through the woods by her crush, Yeh Shuhua. Shuhua was wearing a short-sleeved, white button up and a green skirt, while Soojin wore a comfy blue hoodie and some black jeans. Shuhua pulled Soojin into a wide clearing, "We're here!" she exclaimed and Soojin looked around. "This place is beautiful, ShuShu." she said softly. "I know right? I come here whenever I need some quiet time." Shuhua smiled at Soojin and led her to the middle, pulling her to sit with her on the soft grass. "Why'd you bring me here?" Soojin asked curiously and Shuhua fiddled with her fingers.

"Well..." Shuhua took a deep breath, "I've been wanting to telling you this for a while now.." She paused and looked at Soojin with nervous eyes, the other girl put her hand on hers and gave a reassuring smile, encouraging her to continue. "I-I'm... I'm in love you you, Soojin. A-And I was wondering if y-you'd like to be my girlfriend?" Soojin's eyes widened. Happiness swirled in her gut. She was happy, but then it hit her. That thought. ‘You're not good enough, she deserves better.’ Deep down she knew that, that thought wasn't right... but... what if.. she wasn't good enough? ‘She wouldn't want a freak like you.’ There it is again. The thoughts that haunt the back of her mind. No matter how hard she tried to push them down, they always prevailed on her. She was lost in her own mind, but she could still see the girl she loved most looking at her with hopeful eyes, her smile ever so slightly faltering, though. ‘See? You're making her upset, you ruin everything.’ Shaking her thoughts away before she could get swallowed any deeper by them, Soojin blinked slowly at Shuhua, before sighing and putting on her softest smile, seeing that lovely flash of hope go through her love's eyes for what she assumed to be the last time.

"Shuhua.." the girl's smile widened in anticipation. "I'm sorry..”

But yay I’m so glad you chose my Tommy still cause I was so afraid to write him cause I have such a respect for his character since he’s so complex and smart that I always thought I couldn’t portray him appropriately. I always thought Rick is closest to me with his personality and trauma but I gotta say that the reason I wanted to portray Tommy so much, was that I always saw the aspect of his PTSD playing out in the series which connects me deeply with him. I never was into history and I have absolutely no idea of how these times worked, so while watching the series I never cared about the history or political things, but I fell in love with the way the producers focused on PTSD playing out in different people (like for example Arthur and Tommy). For me it was never a historical series but the series which portrayed PTSD in the most reliable way (as knowing it myself) and that made Tommy so damn intriguing for me (also Cillian mentioned that as well how the series more focused on that and that’s why he enjoyed playing Tommy so much so that made me proud that I didn’t interpret it wrong). I’m somehow proud you saw that connection cause on the outside we don’t have much in common but on the inside I absolutely understand his messed up mind. I love you and will never stop enjoying all the stories we create ❤️
