How do you feel about concepts for redeemed/good guy Ganondorf? I don't remember if you've said anything on it before, so I am curious to see what sorts of thoughts you have to share or if you've thought about the idea before (especially since you've worked on SoF so I assume you've thought about many possibilities of a "what if" Zelda game)
For my part: I have mixed feelings, and I think a lot of concepts end up being "I want a buff guy to ship Link with"; I also think a lot of criticisms of the racism in many depictions of Ganondorf have merit (though I don't speak on them in depth because I'm white) and would love to see a more favorable/complex portrayal of him and other characters of color in LoZ. I personally haven't seen many versions of good guy/redeemed Ganondorf that really engage with the base structure of the LoZ games but I would love to see one that did.
Anyways I love your blog and analysis and I love seeing someone who finds analysis as inherently a part of their engagement with fandom as me, it's really nice :) I hope you're having a good day
I never posted about it much but sof did actually have a somewhat redeemed ganondorf, or as close to "good guy" as i'm willing to go with him in my own writing. sof was/is very much about me exploring the religious aspects of the lore and issues of fate vs self-determination, so my ganondorf was a much younger version of the character (similar in age to link and zelda) born into an extremist hylia-worshipping doomsday cult. in sof, ganondorf finds the remains of DEMISE'S sword and believes it to be the master sword, so when it starts ordering him around he follows the orders without question, believing that he's hearing the voice of hylia, and basically everyone in his life affirms to him that this is the correct choice and he's hylia's chosen one. Because of the intensity of the religious doctrine he was raised with, he has no problem following the sword's orders even when they become progressively more and more violent, and by the time link and zelda get to him he's nearly past the point of no return. (this is also partially a product of the setting I chose to put sof in--it's one of if not the first cycles after sksw, so the hyruleans' understanding of the reincarnation cycle and their own general history isn't super solid.) So that's my personal take on a "good guy" ganondorf, and, i think, the way i'd like to see it done in canon if ever they choose to go that route--because loz deals so much with the concepts of fate and cycles, I think leaning into a ganondorf who isn't inherently evil but can't escape the fate that waits for him is a fun way to take it.

Kind of a weird AU but hear me out:
Finwe marries Indis, right? Most controversial thing Finwe ever done and that includes leading elves from their ancestral home to a new continent to live with gods. Silmarillion says that it happened because he fell in love and I believe it BUT what Silmarillion doesn't tell you is WHEN Finwe marries Indis. I saw posts that say the canon is inconclusive and Tolkien probably changed his mind a lot, and half of what of what Tolkien wrote is thrown from the window by fandom, so.
Anyway, one of the versions said Feanor was at least a teenager when Finwe/Indis happens (I think). What Silmarillion states is that Feanor married VERY young by elven standards, and that Nerdanel was below his station (classism? in elven society? apparently!).
Last thing before I get to the main point: Fingolfin marries Anaire, a Noldo lady, who I saw often enough written as a noble or a court lady, perfectly fine that, no idea if that's canon. And Finarfin very much marries Teleri princess.
...I don't know guys, it feels very convienient. For princes to fall in love with exactly the kind of women who would be approved by royal court and strenghten political ties with other elven factions. If it was anything else than silm, I would call political marriages.
Time for crack: based on what I wrote above I propose an AU where it was FEANOR who was supposed to marry Indis. For politics! Vanyar are the most important faction in Aman! Let's marry into that!
But the MOMENT Feanor became an adult and they could process with courting without making it creppier than it already is, Feanor runs off to elope with his coworker and there's nothing they can do. Well, that's what Finwe tells Ingwe when Ingwe rages about it to him.
Finwe loves Feanor, he wants him to marry for love, and that's exactly what happens. But, uh, all Vanyar are pissed that there's no political marriage when they were promised one (they mad cause they look stupid now), and, well. Finwe decides to bite the bullet. For his son.
It's not true of course. But imagine family dinners after that.

I feel like Erik might like rats specifically bc most people think they’re gross/creepy and he could go on monologues about how they are so misunderstood etc like the dramatic bitch he is. Also I like the visual of a rat sitting on his shoulder or his helmet.
is this the time to make a shark joke because if we're talking about misunderstood animals i can knock two birds with one stone

Alright Cal, gimme Gojo + monsterfucking please :)
this one goes crazy because i actually moaned the second i got it. like i literally started shivering and i hmmmggggggjfnbjrkegmmg.
sorry in advance for how like... disgusting this is. when you sent this i could NOT stop thinking abt biblically accurate angel gojo and it sent. me into a crazy frenzy. im crying and screaming and moaning
cw: biblically accurate angel gojo, MAJOR sacrilege (we pray together while gojo finger fucks us), fingering, power dynamics, kinda god complex but also not really, im absolutely going to hell for this im immediately going to hell im almost afraid bc i was raised catholic and actually fear god so bad.
"be not afraid," he'd said, crawling into your room through the open window.
white hair and a head made of three rotating rings covered in bright blue eyes. big white wings from his back, four of them and his clothes are a plain suit, where his head connects to nothing. you can't see anything around him, nor can you register any features. it feels like his face and the rings clip in an out of each other. even though you're looking at brilliant gold rings covered in eyes, you're certain that you can make out a man, someone made in your image.
"do you know how to pray?" he asks you, extending his hands by his side. the voice, a rich tenor, seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere.
"yes," you respond, trying to hide the shaking of your hands. your head is tilted downward, facing the bedspread you sit on.
"kneel then, before an angel of the lord," he says, motioning to the ground in front of him.
you listen, bound by something you can only call heavenly duty. you don't dare steal another glance up at him, afraid to gaze at the beauty and might of his celestial form.
he crouches in front of you, taking your face in his two fingers and pinching your cheeks together, "he really did make you in his image," gojo says, turning your cheeks over.
you stare back with hollowed eyes. this is not the attitude of any angel you've ever imagined. the gold rings spin in accordance with the speed of his speech and you feel that they somehow indicate his emotions to you.
"the lord is obsessed with you, you know," he says, dropping your face. you immediately return to looking at the floor, hands clasped together in prayer.
"me?" you squeak.
"your species," he says quietly, like he's thinking about something. "humanity."
you nod softly, swallowing thick, "and you?"
"what about me? i'm but a messenger," he says plainly.
"humanity. are you fond of us?"
he tilts his head, still crouching in front of you. "raise your head, human."
you oblige, meeting those brilliant spinning rings of gold and blue. strangely, through all of it, you can tell that he's smiling and beautiful.
"i am," he says quietly. "but i'm quite fond of you in particular."
"me?" you squeak and he nods his celestial head.
"you."
"what's your name?" you ask.
"satoru," he answers. "to understand."
"what are you?"
he tilts his head. "an angel of the lord."
you shake yours in response. "you don't seem like one."
"have you met many other angels?" he questions, tilting his head to the side.
"no," you swallow. "but i get the feeling that you're not a proper angel."
he sighs, standing up. "you're right. i'm not a proper angel. you see, i love humanity more than i love god."
you bite your tongue, keeping your head bowed. "so who am i meant to be praying to right now, then?"
satoru shrugs his shoulders and the metal rings clink together, "me, if only because i'm in front of you."
"but i don't know you," you say, "not like i know god."
satoru gives a small laugh. "what would you like to know, then?"
you look up at him, hands still clasped together. "anything you have to tell."
satoru's hand comes up to gently cup your face. the pads of his fingers are smooth and soft. they're uncalloused and pink at the tips, like you're the first thing he's ever touched. your belly flips and satoru raises an eyebrow.
"you know, angels are not so dense as humans," he laughs lightly, running his hand from your cheek to the hair by your face. "we're inclined to see the things you can't."
"what does that mean?" you question.
"it means that i can see your desire," he says plainly, "your curiosity. your wants and wishes and feelings in the moment."
you bite the inside of your cheek.
"what you want from me, i can give you," he says softly. his voice bounces around in your head and settles between your eyebrows. "if you ask. if you pray."
your curiosity, the sin built in you from birth, leads you to listen.
"bow your head," he states. you oblige.
satoru's hands come down on your shoulders. they're warm and soft, applying pressure to your body in a touch that feels like it's made you glow. you clench your thighs together where you kneel. "our father," he starts, stepping behind you and running his hands down the sides of your arms, "who art in heaven," and over your stomach, "hallowed be thy name."
you suck in a breath when he reaches the crest of your sex, guilt and desire pooling at the base of your stomach. the light that covers you is calming, like a blessing, but you feel the tinge of sin bite at your ankles and the base of your skull.
"t-thy kingdom come," you exhale and satoru mumbles a good into your ear, pressing his fingers to your clit over your panties. "thy will be done."
"on earth," he slips a finger in and you gasp. "as it is in heaven."
he starts to slowly pump his fingers inside of you. his hand is pressed between your thighs, sandwiched because he's made no effort to spread them. still kneeling, he curls them inside of you.
"give us this day," he says, running his other hand up your side, "our daily bread."
you start to build. pressure mounts in your lower gut as he slips another finger in.
"and forgive us our trespasses," you breathe out shakily, meaning every word. it comes out like you are begging and behind you, satoru whispers his response.
"as we forgive those who trespass against us," he picks up his pace, fingers making a wet and sticky sound with each curl. you build, toes curling where they are tucked underneath you.
"and lead us not into t-temptation," you gasp, beginning to press against the wall of pleasure that's been mounting in your stomach. the coil winds tighter and you clasp your hands together tightly as if you ward off the sin that comes with this.
"but deliver us from evil," satoru says, his voice slick with a smile.
"amen," you say, the end of it cut off by the long and drawn-out whimper.
your clasped hands trembled before you unclasp them, reaching behind you to grab satoru's arm, which has snaked it's way around your neck in a possessive show of desire.
you sit up slightly, arching your back and spreading your legs to allow his hand to work deeper into you. satoru, the angel of the lord, draws out the last of your orgasm from deep within you, curling his long fingers at a steady pace until you collapse back onto his chest with a heaving sigh.
"if you plan to ask for forgiveness," he says quietly, letting you catch your breath against his chest, "ask it from me."
"why?" you pant.
"because i'd love to say a hail mary with you."

@rvinfall asked :
[x] It was unusual, very much so, to find such a lovely woman on her own during a festival meant for reunion. The moonlight seemed far too cold for Changli, yet Xiyang found himself by her side, his fan folded and resting in the crook of his elbow. His good eye fixated on her. "Do the games and showmanship hold no pleasure for you?" His fan moved, tilting beneath her chin to lift her gaze. "Selfless little thing that you are. If you're going to destroy yourself for them, at least take some pleasure from their festivities." With a graceful twist of his wrist, the fan snapped open in a burst of color. He sniffed, haughtily. "Follow me, then. Surely, you eat?"

─「长离」─  CHANGLI was someone who was used to the life within the shadows. she was used to being the one behind the scene, weaving her plans and tactics for those she wanted to protect. even those who worked for her sometimes were unable to locate the counselor herself if she did not wish to be found. that fact, however, appeared to have a few exceptions, the selected few of people she allowed close enough to do so.
he was one such people, both in the subject of her letting close and the one who was skilled enough to find her despite her effort to stay hidden. much like now.
though the vermilion bird didn't comment out loud, there was a sense of WARMTH rising from within the organ in her left chest knowing that there was someone who, regardless of her attempt to keep herself concealed, was still able find her. that he was that observant to realize where she would be when others do not. the thought made her gaze mellow when his fan shifted underneath her chin, lifting her gaze to look at him to which she did willingly so.
Tumblr media
" perhaps i'm more used as an observer than a participant. " with her limited time, she knew there were things she should not, and could not get attached to. her mind worked in a way that she existed to pave way for the FUTURE she wouldn't be able to witness. that was alright. selfless, he said ... she wondered.
how did you find me ... ? why did you find me ... ?
the questions went unsaid. she simply wore a soft smile no others had ever witnessed from her. that was his privilege as someone who managed to warm his way into her burned up heart. golden hues watched him most carefully, almost fascinated. he was such a mystery to her, sometimes. or maybe all the time ?
" follow me, then. surely, you eat ? "
the words earned a tender chuckle from her lips, eyes closed momentarily to smile to herself. haughty. as expected of him.
Tumblr media
" you're more demanding than i thought, xiyang. " the tone she carried was of FONDNESS. it was warm and soothing, tinged with gentle note. it was a jest on her part, of course, as she finally moved to follow him. the moonlight above them provided quite a comforting light to the two, and the shadows from their forms merging to one behind them. for the first time in a long time, changli didn't mind being seen, being understood, being found.
ah, he might make her regret the shorter time she had left on her lifespan if he kept this up. that could be troublesome. however, that was a problem for another day.

Exploring the Origins of Thought: A Synthesis of Jung, Ramana Maharshi, Kabbalah, and Tibetan Buddhism
In our journey to understand the nature of thoughts and the Self, we find ourselves drawing from the wisdom of various traditions—Jungian psychology, Vedanta as taught by Ramana Maharshi, the mystical insights of Kabbalah, and the profound teachings of Tibetan Buddhism. These perspectives, though rooted in different cultural and philosophical backgrounds, converge in fascinating ways, offering a…

Shadows of Fear: Did You Lock Up? (1.1, Thames, 1970)
"And they didn't make much mess?"
"No, not really. They forced that door. Smashed the cabinet, slashed a sofa. And kicked a hole in the bedroom door."
"Ah. Big mistake."
"What is?"
"Never lock inside doors. Anything you can to keep them out - but when they're in, let 'em get on with it."
"I'll remember."
#shadows of fear#single play#roger marshall#1970#classic tv#thames#kim mills#michael craig#gwen watford#ray smith#mark mcmanus#malcolm kaye#charles leno#having come to something of a premature pause in my New Scotland Yard watch (the first ep of series 3 isn't on the YT playlist I've been#using and is proving quite tricky to get ahold of) i thought I'd revisit this brief lived anthology series for the creepy season. i first#watched this about 10 years ago and my memories of it are scant to say the least‚ so it seemed like good viewing for the season#the production history of SoF is lost in the mists of time (unless someone out there wishes to enlighten me?); this first episode was shown#in June of 1970‚ but the rest didn't follow until January of the following year; probably this acted as a sort of pilot to gauge viewer#reactions to another vaguely horrorish anthology series (the previous decade had been ripe with them‚ tho we rarely see their like today)#and then there's the odd case of the final ep‚ shown almost 2 years after the series ended and running to half the length (and generally#feeling like an entirely different format) but I'll come to that when (and if) i get to the episode itself. this debut ep is... well it's#fine. i was excited to see Marshall's name in the opening credits‚ one of the most dependable of old tv writers and I'd quite forgotten he#contributed to this show. but the issue here is simply one of length. the plot is solid‚ a suitably grotty little tale of a family man's#mounting obsession with the burglars who broke into his home. it would make a good ep of Tales of Unease (shortly to begin on Thames'#sister broadcaster LWT) or a few years later as an episode of Tales of the Unexpected; both being 25 minute shows. but this clocks in at#close to 50 mins and there isn't really enough to it to sustain that longer running time‚ leaving it feeling a little stretched thin and#flimsy. a shame‚ because Craig and Watford are putting in excellent performances as the middle class couple whose reactions to the burglary#slowly shift as time passes (he goes from prosaic acceptance to fixated malice‚ she from shocked indignation to making peace with it all)#no big surprises in where the play is headed or how it plays out‚ but that's often the case with these things; it's often just as much#about the horrible foreknowledge of what must come than some shocking twist‚ and this plays it about right. it's just too long is all.
