🌠 my first jjk fic! for the longest time, I kept hoping someone else would write something about this chapter because it was driving me absolutely crazy (he went. to africa. in person!! to ask for help. the Strongest asked for help. and then yuuta's "you're important to people who are important to me." and the way he was trying to comfort/reassure yuuji after the complete shitshow that was shibuya. it's all just sooo). eventually I wound up with enough free time and a well-rested brain to do it myself, and the rest (as they say) is history

perchance to dream rated T, completed, goyuu -> goyuu get in the habit of sleeping together (non-sexually). follows canon from the basement arc to gojo's unboxing

🌠 I am perpetually sleep-deprived, so I love writing fics that involve sleeping lol. iirc this particular fic was borne from me staring at hngr4fngr's art here for like, the 10th time within a two or three day period or something

🌠 I wrote this for a secret santa exchange that had like, a 3.5k max word limit, which is why it has this weird dialogue-only section in it lmao. actually I was pretty indifferent about size diff/size kink before this, but in the process of writing the fic (and from scrolling through Exce-T's art gallery for research), I learned to appreciate it. first time I ever wrote myself a new kink lol

🌠 I was trying so hard to get around including gojo in this fic because I Knew if I included him, I'd want to squeeze in goyuu flirting. could never figure out who else to put in there though, so in gojo went. now every time I re-read this fic, I'm struck with the urge to write okkogoyuu ot3 shenanigans. one day it'll come to fruition, I swear.

Sorry if you've already been asked this, but are shadow using folks rare in the Synoverse world? I know there's been several sun/light based characters, super strength, weather, flight - the classics. Plus that cool omniscient's conclave. But i think Syno is the only darkness manipulator, if I'm not forgetting anyone.

Synoverse is the only shadow manipulator I’ve named! They’re unique in that their shadows have kinetic effect, able to manipulate matter as if solid. Other shadow manipulators are typically either inclined towards stealth (learning to use it to help make themselves invisible) or straight up illusionists.

This is also why a lot of what Synovus does with shadows is subtle! They make areas dark, they make it seem like they have more limbs, they cloak themselves in shadows. If you’re used to seeing shadows as illusions, you likely won’t realize how much is actually Synovus and how much is the shadows themselves.

After all, if your opponent throws up a huge bubble of shadow and seem unharmed from your attack, what’s more likely: that a shadow blocked it, or that they just moved where you couldn’t see?
