Bagian terbaik dalam hidup saya adalah lika liku ujian berupa tekanan yang Alhamdulillah mendewasakan. Mungkin bagi orang lain itu belum seberapa, karena tolak ukur diri dengan orang lain tidaklah sama.

Dulu saya sempat berfikir, kenapa harus saya? Sempat menyesal, tapi berbalik menjadi bangga. Ada satu titipan yg diamanahkan oleh Tuhan utk saya emban yg hanya saya yg dipercaya mampu. Sebenernya kalo ada orang yg ngomong "ko omonganmu makin dewasa?" Saya rasa tidak demikian, saya tetaplah menjadi saya yg kekanak-kanakan, justru Tuhan yg menggerakkan pemikiran tersebut kedalam tulisan bersumber dari ujian dan pengalaman yg diberikan.

Fase denial sudah saya lalui. Mungkin ada fase denial-denial lain yg akan menghampiri, tugas saya mengupgrade diri, menambah pundak untuk memikul beban sekali lagi. Halo dunia, kamu memang keras, tapi saya lebih keras daripada kamu :))

pagi ini mentari bersinar seperti biasanya,

seorang lelaki agak tinggi sekitar 170 cm mulai beranjak bangun dari kasur cozynya,

badannya lengket dan berkeringat entah semalam berbuat apa, ia memandang jam dan ternyata sudah lebih dari jam 7

segera bergegas mandi, dan bersiap untuk kuliah

pagi ini mendung menyelimuti tempatnya berada, ia sangat malas menjalani hari yang monoton dan itu itu saja

Bila : “ ndra lu ngapain dateng kan Pak Use ga masuk hari ini “, sapa Bila dari luar kelas

Andra : “ ah iya gua lupa, gila gua sampe buru buru mandi lupa gosok gigi pula hff”

Bila : “ makanya ndra, buat jadwal yang pasti biar lu kaga lupa haha”

Bila, adalah teman perempuan Andra yang sangat cantik dan perhatian pada Andra, tetapi si Andra kayaknya ga nyadar kalau Bila diam diam mencintai Andra.

Bila dan Andra memasuki tahun keduanya kuliah di kampus kebanggaan Surabaya,

Bila seorang perempuan asli Sunda yang sangat cantik dan menggemaskan, berusia tak jauh dari Andra hanya terpaut 11 bulan. Andra kelahiran tanah Jawa berumur 20 tahun dan Bila berumur 19 tahun. Sebuah event merekatkan persahabatan Andra dan Bila, tetapi mungkin pada dasarnya Andra adalah anak yang cuek, jadi terhadap Bilapun ia juga biasa saja.

Rayn : “wuu Bosque datang nih, ngapain lu ndra jam segini udah datang, pasti lupa kalau lu kaga ada kuliah pagi ini”

Andra : “ iya yan haha nah lu ngapain berdua pagi pagi segini udah datang juga”

Bila : “ gue minta tolong si Rayn ngajarin desain banner nih ada acara himpunan abis ini November”

Andra : “ ih acara apaan dah”

Rayn : “ biasa lah kalau si Bila kan sukanya yang sociallyfe gitu, kalau gua mah bisanya cuma desain ginian gua ga punya jiwa sosial haha”

Bila : “ udah deh gabung sini aja ndra daripada lu kaga ada kerjaan”

Rayn, sahabat Andra dan Bila juga, cowok ambon yang manis banget dan tinggi sekitar 178 cm, beda dengan Bila yang imut 160 cm ini.. Si Rayn anak perantauan yang super duper supel nih orang, dia lucu humoris dan romantis (banyak yang di php in tapi). Mereka bersahabat dari maba, dan mereka menamai persahabatan mereka dengan nama “Rumpang” karena mereka suka rumpi di waktu selang. Haha sebuah kelucuan yang abadi yah..

“What time is it?” He asked, about to prove a point I knew was mute.

“1 am.”

“Yup, you’re weird.” The Denny’s chef nodded contentedly at me, as he explained his rationale of understanding customers: Because I was there late, I was weird like the rest of them.

We both knew that wasn’t true, I clearly wasn’t like the strung out bunch dwindling in. But he wanted to talk to me which was made obvious by the amount of times he started absurd conversations.

Of course, I obliged.

It wasn’t an obligation really, was it?

I kept telling myself I was there to be inspired. To write. But really, the chef and I both knew I was there because I didn’t want to be alone.

He called me ‘darling’ and topped off a full cup of coffee and I felt comforted.

I gave a generous tip and walked out the doors, feeling him watch.

That night I proceed to talk to whoever will respond. I spend my worth on every word of deprecation, raising the pitch of my voice to match the height to which I will never fully stand, twirling my hair into a weave of lies with a finger that knows more about women than I’d care to admit. And I know a man will be fooled into holding me for the night. And I the fool for thinking it’s what I want: the immediate gratification, the feeling of being known without having to explain, the sense of love without the need of expression. 

All I ever get is a mouthful of regret with a bitter aftertaste of shitty diner coffee.
