Writing this here bc I have no one else to talk to about this except for my gay trans little brother (lmao).
I'm 28 and in the past I've been in some pretty fucked up relationships. And my relationship with sex has been incredibly toxic, to the point where I cringe when thinking about ever having sex again. But I also find people like sexually attractive, and can.. get off, so to speak. And I thought I was pansexual before this but now I'm thinking that can't possibly be true if I don't actually want to have sex with people I'm attracted to. So I did a tiny amount of digging and I think I found the labels that feel the most accurate to me? Panromantic and aegosexual. Which, I didn't even know being aegosexual is a thing, but it pretty much sums up my thoughts about sex. So I guess that's what we'll stick with for now? Idk, it is all very confusing, I didn't even realize I was nonbinary til I was like 25 (I didn't know I was even *allowed* to feel like neither gender) and I didn't realize I was "bisexual" (obviously that has changed) til after I graduated high school. Idk, I'm sure the whole autism thing and compulsive heterosexuality has a ton to do with my complete lack of introspection about any of this until recently lol to be quite honest, I didn't even know I was AuDHD til a few years ago either. So the past 5 years have been a huge "getting to know myself" party lol thanks trauma! I know no one will read this but I just wanted to throw it out into the world with people who don't actually know me lol I dread having to explain that to my family members who still can't/refuse to use they/them pronouns for me. So we'll just keep it between me and my brother for now lol queer sibling solidarity 🤘
#and this whole thought process came about bc i was reading a fic and a smut scene started#and i was like again???? can we please just skip this unnecessary BS and go back to the story please lol#so yay for self discoveries?#lgbtq#lgbtqia#acespec#pansexual#panromantic#asexual#aegosexual#autism#audhd

do u guys think kids are like raised on change belief from when theyre little [ like how parents get their kids baptized and take them to church or whatever before they form their own opinions ] or is it just something theyre like . Aware of , but reeeaaalllyyy discovering it for Yourself and choosing to believe in it later on is more common bc youre like making that change yourself
#does this make sense ? it does in ky head idk how to word it#but i feel like the religious self discovery would be a change and figuring that out would be like#idk an almost divine feeling to some … like changing into a person of faith#i think the change god would be more pleased then had someones parents just Wanted them to believe#but also the beauty of it is like. if you choose to stop practicing or whatever thats another change !!!#so your family would still be happy !!! yay !!! and everyone gets along lalala#i Forget if this is ever explained… ubmmn it probably is and im making stuff up but whatever#sorriess if i am oopsie

Hey there SRS #1 back again! So Christmas is in like 2 weeks and I’m mad stressed about it.
But got me thinking, have you ever gotten any Beatles themed Christmas gifts? I get Beatles stuff like every year, I’ve gotten a Beatles clock, like a million Beatles books, a Beatles puzzle, Beatles games. What have you gotten, or what would you like to get?
🧑🏻🎄
Hiii sorry for the late answer!
It's been ages since i last got beatles related gifts but I'm ready for it again sjdhdk
Notably i got a 3D beatles poster of them sitting on some stairs at some performance ca. early 1964? (Not fully caught up on visually placing them yet. I forgor). The poster is currently in my kitchen on the floor bc i only recently got it from my mother's house. I got beatle books and a real fucked up graphic novel abt the hamburg days???????
Idc too much for xmas. I'm only giving like 5 presents to my roomie and my dad and a couple friends. Despite my jesus obsession, christmas is .. not it for me. I hate people pretending to be good for jesus' birth and being like oh i believe in peace and love all over and then they're cunts irl? Pet peeve..
Anyway :)) hope youre doing good in the holiday stress phase 🫡
#quip#ask#maybe I'm too obsessed with jesus to like christmas. it's just so inauthentic to me#then again i do have mental illness about what kind of person jesus was and have been like.emulating being radically kind but taking no shit#this is the first time ive really put this xmas thing into words so yay for self discovery

Narrative-wise and character-arc wise based on what we know up until s4, do you think Mike and El break-up is better before or after the time skip?
aghhhhh this is such a hard question because it could actually work both ways tbh but it would just have to handled differently <3
If it's before the time skip:
this would feel extremely rushed and disingenuous if it is not done correctly. It would honestly feel like the Duffers just decided to fuck with their viewers by giving milkvan a 'good' moment in the last ep of season 4 and then taking it all away in season 4. I think if they were to do it before a time skip, the whole of the first episode would have to be before the time skip so it feels like the episode doesnt just BEGIN with like a big breakup, because closure to a storyline doesnt usually get done in the first episode or the beginning of the first episode.
I know, I know, we really want milkvan to break up immediately and have no romantic moments or whatever. I don't think this will be the case, I think if it's before the time skip, then El will likely break up with Mike, but honestly I have no clue how they will write it. Because the situation is way way more complicated than people actually write in fanfiction (I have literally written a milkvan breakup but i dont think it will happen in that way).
I think the only way that Mike can know about the painting is if he hears it from El, and I think it makes the most sense for her to tell him during the breakup, but this will make less sense if this breakup happens before the time skip. HOW IS MIKE MEANT TO RUMINATE ON THIS FOR A WHOLE YEAR AND A HALF ??????????????
If it's after the time skip:
this would be so weird because like <3 what do you mean they've been in this weird limbo space for a whole year and a half?
however, i think if it's after the time skip, it would make sense if mike keeps saying i love you to el and is now able to because he said it in the pizza place, but el still thinks that he is being fake. but then again it makes NO SENSE for her to not confront him about this for over a year yknow? therefore if this happens after the time skip then it would have to be mike breaking up with her after realising he's gay or something - therefore it would not be in episode one and would have to be after he's had a self-discovery arc. Maybe he realises what the painting really means, leading him to break up with her.
i would not like this however, because it does not make sense for his character to do this up to this point, since he has been so afraid of losing her, so honestly i think it needs to be el exercising her autonomy to break up with him if that happens, but this again makes no sense to do after a year and a half IM JUST SO CONFUSED ON WHAT THEY WILL DO HELPPPPP THIS IS JUST A STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS AT THIS POINT................
okay sorry for that rambling: honestly i think that it should happen before the time skip, and that pre-time skip should occur for a whole episode (episode 1) and the break up should happen around the end of the episode, where mike finds out about the painting so he can think about it for a longer time (1 year) which i guess means he can be the one pining yay
TLDR; i have a breakdown

Day 10: Second Chances
For @owlcatober - a former companion gets a second chance, and Arueshalae talks to her.
[Ao3 Link]
====
Of all the horrors that Arueshalae had anticipated in her return to the Abyss, there was one reunion she had not expected. Perhaps if given time she might have considered the encounter with an abyssal larva bearing a former comrade’s face, or perhaps demons born from that larva. Yet in the whirlwind of preparations, the thought of meeting a former companion was far from everyone’s mind.
In hindsight, though, Arueshalae should have known better than to assume that Pharasma’s judgment erased everything. After all, Arueshalae herself had her realization by way of Desna awakening the memories of the damned souls that eventually became her. And that was without the consideration of what this mythic power would do to the process.
Arueshalae watched the subject of her thoughts: at first glance, another succubus with black bat wings and similarly colored tail, pointed ears, piercing brown eyes, and horns that had been filed down to be barely noticeable in the bangs of her long black hair that hung behind her past her shoulders. She wore a light blue half-dress over white, much as she had in life, even as the mortally feminine attire gave way to practical brown pants and boots below the hips.
Then she transformed. Not the transformation that Arueshalae knew all too well to match her victim’s desires, but shifted into an entirely new demon. An incorporeal black mass with wings black as midnight, long claws for hands, and a black fog for legs. The dress she wore also turned translucent with the transformation, staying with it. An invidiak, more commonly known as shadow demons. A demon of envy, masterful possessors, and also often servants of their Lady in Shadows.
Then the demon transformed again. The bloody red form of a babau, all traces of beauty lost as it was replaced with a horned skull-like face, a long tail, clawed feet, and slimy red skin. The dress shifted to match, and so far seemed to be holding despite the red acid. The demon’s true form, or at least the one that was victorious in a contest of consumption. Demons of murder, the sin that had defined this soul the most in life, followed shortly after by the other two.
In a way, Camellia Gwerm had not avoided the fate of abyssal larvae after all.
Camellia had her back turned to Arueshalae, the former half-elf looking in a mirror she had brought from the city below as she explored her new self. It did not take long for Camellia to return to the form of a succubus, even as she pouted at her wings and ran a hand along her forehead to make sure the horns had been filed down.
“Fascinating, is it not?”
Arueshalae looked to her right. She had stepped up to where Nenio and Woljif were keeping an eye on Camellia - or at least, Woljif had his eyes on the task. Nenio had been studying Camellia’s transformation since their first encounter, finally interested in the noble bastard after having previously shown little interest in her.
“I dunno,” Woljif admitted, “seems like a gimmick to me. I mean, don’t succubi transform already?”
“Yes, but they cannot truly impersonate other beings of the outer planes! Not without powerful magic, even in comparison to the most accomplished mortal spellcasters.”
“If you say so.”
Arueshalae folded her arms together, frowning. “Camellia has become something strange. Three demons fused together.”
“Or one being split into three - see the fey at the Battlebliss Arena as an example of the phenomenon.” Nenio put a hand to her chin. “Truly, we have stumbled upon a remarkable discovery. I am quite glad that she was not smote on the spot and that we assisted in completing Lady Areelu’s experiment!”
“Yay, we helped a shadow-babau hybrid add a succubus to the tryst,” Woljif deadpanned with an eye roll. “Honestly, as far as the chief’s ‘dumb idea but she wants to see what happens’ moments go, this is worse than studying Vang’s notes.”
“I would note that my assistant adamantly refused to recreate swarm boy’s experiments, not even seeking volunteers ready to sacrifice in the name of science!” Nenio insisted with just a bit too much regret in her voice for anyone to be comfortable. “Nonetheless, assisting rich girl has provided us with invaluable insight into Areelu Vorlesh’s research! She studied this phenomenon for its own value, but more importantly to understand the survival of the mortal ego through Pharasma’s judgment. She must be working on truly revolutionary work for rich girl’s transfiguration to be a mere stepping stone!”
“Whoo, big deal. Doesn’t tell us how they’re makin’ the mythic monsters.”
“No,” Arueshalae admitted, “but perhaps it is something we should all think about if this was not an accident.”
“Gee, thanks, like I haven’t considered what demon blood does.”
“Regardless of tiefling boy’s sour disposition, you wanted to speak to her demon girl? We were not asked to bar verbal inquiry, so by all means!”
Arueshalae nodded, inhaling. Yes, she needed to. Camellia had tried to reach out to her in life. In hindsight it was probably for horror stories to get off on, but perhaps something remained of that bond? Perhaps truly seeing life in the Abyss had convinced Camellia she had deserved her fate but now could change her ways?
Arueshalae stepped forward, flicking her tail to hit the rocky surface so it was clear she was not trying to sneak up on the new demoness. Camellia heard, turning her head partway, and then she affected a smile. The same false smile, as Daeran had put it, of a woman pretending to be enjoying herself in society. Yet within there was something genuine - Camellia was not as discrete as she had believed she was at the sight of horrors.
“So,” Camellia started, “Arueshalae. How do I look?”
“Much as you used to,” Arueshalae admitted honestly. “The tailors of Alushinyrra are as precise as I remember.”
“It helps when one remembers not only wearing the clothes, but the commissioning itself.” Camellia ran a hand around the front of her collarbone, then down her chest to admire the deft replication, then scowled. “If only the price was something other than her pleasure. But I suppose you would know all about that, wouldn’t you?”
There were quite a few things such a jab could allude to, and Arueshalae was not interested in revisiting any of them. “This is the way of the Abyss. Everything can be currency, whether you wish to spend it or not.”
“Hmmm,” Camellia noted as she glanced towards her nominal guards, just a bit too far away to hear if they lowered their voices. “Yes, it is true. Even in Charnelhome, fools wanted what satisfaction they could get. At least I was able to escape swiftly enough after my shadowy self found me.”
Camellia tried to hide it, and the Abyss had clearly been a harsh but effective teacher in such a short time, but Arueshalae could still perceive how much the experience had horrified Camellia. How must it have felt for one to technically succeed, especially for someone who was used to being on top in such an encounter? Arueshalae had her own run-ins with invidiaks, including an inexperienced one trying to take over her body, so it was not an academic question for her.
“Still, this has been an,” a pause, “educational experience. One I am eager to move past. I suspect you feel the same.”
Arueshalae blinked. Was she right? Focus! She told herself. Don’t play her hand too early. “This is not the homecoming I would have wanted, no, but we have to find the source of the mythic demons. Even all of us together could not stop an army of them.”
“I suppose not. But at least here, you are most helpful, are you not?” Camellia smirked. “Elaina must hang onto your every word and story now. More than she had, that is.”
“She needs all the information she can get. You remember what she said about knowledge.”
“Knowledge is power, a road to using it better, and so on.” Camellia sighed. “I suppose knowledge of Mireya was not enough…”
“Don’t lie. Not about this.”
“Oh please, I know full well that my secret is out. Can a girl not use sarcasm?”
“Sorry,” Arueshalae apologized as she felt her cheeks flush. “But, I know how hard it is to earn their trust.”
“Evidently not as hard as I imagined. So, where is your mark?”
“Mark?” Arueshalae asked.
“Don’t play dumb,” Camellia reached a hand to her dress, opening the top until her heart was visible. A brand had been burned there between her breasts, shaped as a sword before a sun. “A Mark of Justice. Divine retribution for misbehaving. Elaina and her holy warden friends were eager enough to brand me in private. What are a few shared secrets between demon girls marked by a paladin?”
“She never- Elaina never put any sort of mark on me.”
“Well, I suppose she must not have been powerful enough back then. Who then? Sosiel, because you want love instead of lust? Or maybe Lady Sigrun - Desna’s protege marked by Desna’s high priestess in Drezen? Arsinoe, with how you hung out by the cathedral?” Camellia ran out of alternatives as Arueshalae remained silent, still staring at the brand.
“Are- are you kidding me?!” Camellia finally snarled as she let go of her dress. “She branded me, but not you?! Why? You did far worse than I ever did!”
She was right. Of course she was: Camellia’s deeds were horrible, but her praying mantis ways (as Daeran put it) were a drop in the bucket in a place like the Abyss. Arueshalae had done far worse than Camellia ever had, and far more brazenly at that. Or was it just volume overwhelming severity?
So why does she trust me? Arueshalae wracked her thoughts as Camellia fumed, unwittingly shifting into her Invidiak form as her envy took hold. When did Elaina start trusting her? It had to be early. Was it hearing her voice in Kenabres? Maybe, or was it-
“I don’t think she trusted me,” Arueshalae finally said, “Not at first. But I think she trusted Desna. Do you remember the Song of Elysium?”
“I was there when she disappeared,” Camellia snapped back. “And when she sang it to you in that cell. Fine, so a goddess vouched for you. But then you lied about Greengates! If she brands people to keep them in line, surely that was the time to do it!”
Again, not wrong. “Then you know what I told her - that I was still thinking as a demon. Not my very being calling to lust and pleasure, seeking sex, good food, and praise, but the way we live. Perhaps she genuinely believed me then, in the honest admission of regret.”
“So what, I should have told her that I like to kill? That it is not a want, but a need. That my desire for blood was like an annoying fly that cannot be seen or swatted away?” Camellia’s form began to shift again - and again she did not seem to realize it as her skin turned red and started to secrete acidic red slime. “That I received no relief from the death of enemies in battle, but from those who believed me a friend? That to truly silence the fly for a time, I must see the disbelief and dread in their eyes as they perish? From my first puppy to men thinking with their swords?”
“Like a demon,” Arueshalae said, not catching what she had said until it was already out.
Camellia was about to snarl, fully in her babau form, but stopped herself, then took a half step back and nodded. “I suppose it was demon-like. It is something I always had - even as a little girl, even before spirits began to whisper to me. You know all too well what it means to be compelled to do something.”
“Do you still feel it?”
“Of course. I am a demon, yet the urge to kill feels no different than when I was alive.” Camellia tilted her head. “It is simply who I am, it seems. Who I was born to be.”
“You can still change, though. You have the bodies of three demons, yet you are not ruled by any of their sins. Like a mortal, you are free to choose a path.” Arueshalae took a deep breath. “I do not pretend to understand how this works, but you have a second chance, Camellia. Surely it is too valuable to waste.”
“Of course: I fully intend to prove myself,” Camellia consciously shifted back to her succubus form. “I will slay the Crusade’s enemies here in the Abyss and back on Golarion. I will prove my worth, even if I must leave when the Worldwound is closed.”
It was a repentant sounding sentiment. One that Arueshalae wanted to believe, if only because it meant that she too could find her redemption. Yet, Arueshalae knew demons all too well, and had been closer to Camellia than most of their party. The Abyss had taught Camellia lessons in how to lie, yet they were lessons Arueshalae had mastered centuries ago.
Still, there was one last piece before she was certain.
“Do you not regret the murders you committed?”
“Of course I hold regret, given the fate it delivered me to,” Camellia traced her finger along the front half of her neck, seemingly unaware of the red secretion following her finger. “But having suffered my just punishment, surely I can use this second chance to better myself?”
Arueshalae felt her black heart sink.
“You only regret being caught,” she sighed as she shook her head. “All those senseless deaths still don’t mean anything to you, do they? The hopes and dreams of the men and women you murdered, they mean nothing to you. And now you ask why you are not trusted.”
“If you get a second chance, why shouldn’t I?”
“Is that mark not your second chance? If you truly want to change, Camellia, should you not wear that mark as proof of penitence?” Arueshalae did not relent as Camellia’s scowl grew. “You knew that what you did was wrong, but you kept doing it. Will keep doing it if you are allowed back onto Golarion. If you truly wish to change, Camellia, if you truly want a second chance? You have to be willing to change yourself.”
Arueshalae took a step away, then turned away as Camellia snarled in fury but knew better than to try anything. Small wafts of smoke arose from her dress as the babau acid tested its wards.
“Funnily enough,” Nenio was saying to Woljif as Arueshalae passed, “babaus usually excrete their acid after the kill, rather than in anticipation.”
“Oh I could have gone without that thought, thank you very much!”
Arueshalae wished she could have chuckled at his harmless misfortune the way friends would, but Arueshalae was weighed down by her thoughts.
It was unlikely that Camellia would truly change. Even Sosiel and Ember felt that Camellia was not interested in redeeming herself, even as Ember noted how miserable the Abyss made her. And none of them were willing to let Camellia back onto Golarion. Even if they were willing to, though, they could not help her.
Something she had overheard the Hand say to Elaina suddenly made so much more sense to Arueshalae: that ultimate victory over the evils of the Abyss would only occur when no mortal soul willingly turned to evil, but those who tried to create such by force only became tyrants. If they wanted to drag Camellia to the light, they would have to do far more than place a conditional curse on her. They would have to take away her freedom to choose.
Camellia had her second chance. All that remained was to see whether she would truly take it to be a better person, or try to exploit it.
Much as Arueshalae hoped otherwise, she knew it would be the latter.
===
Some notes as this is a bit of a complicated idea: I have nursed the idea of Camellia showing up in Act IV as a babau if you killed her in Act III for a while. This was finally a chance to explore that, even if the full story might wait.
The basic idea is that Camellia's share of the mythic power allowed her to survive the ego death of Pharasma's judgment, so when she arrives in the Abyss she would be a fully formed demon with her personality intact. I played with the rules a bit (mythic power is absolutely doing a ton of heavy lifting here) as when discussing this with a friend who is very familiar with a canon example (Mangvhune from the Hell's Rebels AP) the idea of the sins splitting came up. One-of-Many in Mask of the Betrayer was a fun concept I never got to use as I never did an evil playthrough, so it felt like a good fit here even if it isn't technically how it usually would go.
Well, between that and the ego death averted, it seems like the thing that Areelu would look into, wouldn't it? I do want to do more with this idea eventually, but for now... here's my shot at it.

Oh asks huh? Tell me more about your OCs, I'm curious! Please :)
Ooh! *looks nervously at my 20+ ocs* Which ones (• ▽ •;)
I'm not going to talk about all of them obviously, it would take forever xd but I will introduce a few main characters (or duos, trios) from some of my many stories c:
(this may be a bit long so beware)
So here's Renu, an OC I made in middle school.
He's 'the edgy' protagonist >:] Isolated from people and creating meaningful connections with them due to much bigger things out of his control. He's the sufferer amongst my ocs. He wants to be an architect in the future. He's been living in the orphanage his whole life (he's like 15) and he's a great brother to every kid there. Knowing no one will adopt him, he accepts that his purpose for now is being one stable thing for other kids at the facility. His story, though one I've been working on for so long now, is far faaar from being finished! The story itself is about stories, about preserving them, helping them grow and the complicated relationship between authors, artists and their creation. (It's a big concept so actually I'm not surprised it's not fully realised) Renu finds himself in an organisation that operates in between all existing stories from our world. They help to keep the balance and preserve stories that are being forgotten and not finished by their authors. They also fight with mysterious dark energy that dwells within those forgotten stories. Renu makes many friends within the organisation and begins to unravel some mysteries regarding the place as well as his own past and possibly destiny. I love him very much!!!
Next are my dearest MSS (magical school shounen) trio!! :D They are Wojtek (yes, my username is because of him), Leon and Shiro.
They are in high school that specializes in teaching magic. In this world, at the and of wwII there was discovered a new energy source in form of natural crystals emitting unknown radiation. After a generation or two the children able to withstand and conduct that radiation were being born. And those are the mages :> Obviously as soon as the mages could control and study those new powers, there were people wanting to use them in war. Fast forward to now, when the story takes place, kids are basically learning how to be living weapons in a country where this is the most common path a mage can make in life. Fun!
Wojtek is the most main character out of the three, he's very unsure and stressed out most of the time and has like internalised everything c: (later he gets a guy inside his head that will take over his body and yay woohoo self discovery arc!!)
Leon is kind of the opposite, he's very blunt and open and doesn't care what other people think, but their expectations and ideas about who he should be still weight on him a lot. His role in the story and character development are very interesting to me! He's not very outwardly expressive so a lot of people think he's mean or doesn't care (he's autistic leave him alone)
And Shiro. Shiro is a haha :D character that turned tragic real fast. They are very loud and all over the place, super passionate and kind of quirky. It makes others not take them seriously most of the time, but that's kind of what they want. They don't have real family or any memories of growing up and with each month studying with others it becomes clearer that there's something wrong with them 👍👍👍 There is a bit of romance between Leon and Wojtek and from there it just gets more and more complicated. Theres also going to be a war and the end of the world possibly.
Those two are I think the main stories and ocs that take most of my brainpower xd. There is also a story I'm actually working on rn, partially as a school project, about Marcin, a goth teenager that accidentally summoned a ghost and trapped him in a camera. Now they both have to work together to undo this mess and take some ghost photos on the way >:]
I like them and it's a fun story to write. I'll probably post more about it!
Thank you so much for the ask! Love to ramble about my OCs and stories so it made my happy c: I hope you had fun reading about some of my little guys! ^^ I rarely post anything about my ocs here, but I do have a sideblog just for this stuff! So if you're interested you can go to @nanna-art to catch me ramble about the lore etc :]
#ask#my stuff#anon#thanks again for the ask and sorry for any writing mistakes#arghh i have too many stories and characters!!!#and whats worse im not done i came up with yet another story like a month ago???#what am i supposed to do?? draw it all???#sick and twisted...

wip Shadowpeach for you
they gonna kiss 😘
Another storyboard frame for my animatic! I didn't draw any hands for this animatic so that's why they don't have them. I also finished storyboarding for the first half! Yay!
I am a firm believer in long haired Macaque supremacy.
Tangent about Macaque in my au under the cut(I wanna ramble about the emo monkey, it's in the context of an au so you might not understand everything)
Mac's appearance, his hair especially, relates to his personal growth journey and how he sees himself, storytime!
When he was younger, his hair was very long and it was pure white, and he did not have a good childhood since people kept attacking and kidnapping him, and they made lots of creepy comments about his hair that made him uncomfortable (he was a literal child too).
It got to a breaking point when he was living on Flower Fruit Mountain, his hair would get caught in things, get dirty, and make him easier to spot, so after a very nasty encounter with another demon, Yuze, a demon monkey and Wukong's adopted mom, talked to him about it and helped him cut his hair shorter.
And he was much happier after this.
His hair grew darker as he aged, and he was happy to not be a pure white monkey in the middle of the forest. During his short hair phase is when all the brotherhood and journey to the West stuff happened, so all that trauma tainted how he physically saw himself and how he looked at the time
After getting killed by Wukong (and coming back once Wukong went away cause my au my rules), he had to go on his own self discovery/improvement journey with Chikao Mahou (red bottomed horse monkey) and Tongbei Yuanhou (long armed gibbon) as his guides to being a better person, and during that time he let his hair grow out again, not as long as it used to be, but he liked it and it became part of his new, improved self.
His long white hair made him see himself as weak and a target for anybody, and then he associated his shorter hair with all that nasty stuff that went down with the brotherhood, the fires on the mountain, dying three times, his own lack of self confidence and all his failures of that time.
So why is his hair shorter in this image, you may wonder?
(from the same au, just something I drew for season 5)
Well, LBD is a bitch who doesn't care about how Macaque sees himself and she intentionally made him dress and look like the way he did during the actual worst period of his life. More trauma for the monkeys!
Thank you for listening to my info dump
For coming this far, you get a second sneak peak frame!
Happy fun times before the ANGST

am i the only one who's literally never in my life seen someone go: "[evil character] didn't ACTUALLY(!) do the things that made them evil in the narrative (and therefore it isn't fair that everyone distrusts them)" in a non-joking way... and then chide the idea of this character improving. i'm beginning to think y'all are making things up because 1) you don't like the idea that the character can change, and you think that having the opportunity/ability to change, whether in fanon or canon, means that they're magically absolved of everything (but also let me tell you something: no one is going to want to change if no one is willing to at least understand them, if not forgive them, even if full forgiveness never comes)... in the narrative, you will see the change a character goes through in a very limited sense. there's only but so much screen time that can be dedicated to it, even if the character is from a super long series, because there are other things going on around it. there's going to be shorthand and metaphor and a few decisions they might not have made before, but that aren't fully "explained."
there's a lot of work they'll have to do after the story officially ends or before it even begins in some cases. you have to fill in the blanks with your imagination/theories/other thoughts. that's how you engage with fiction if you're at all invested. overexplaining and overcorrecting for everything that is unspoken/implied/must be inferred is how you get a very boring work.
often, what is presented in canon is ONE decision or a few MAJOR decisions that signal change. no one is expecting the other characters to be like "i automatically forgive you for every single infraction committed against us! yay!" ... personal change is a process of self-discovery and learning how to maneuver the world differently over time. learning that some of your preconceived notions might be wrong, and that there are an infinite number of ways to perceive the world overall and everything in it. and a lot of that may have been done before the character's change arc begins; and it is most definitely happening in the background.
and it would do some good if someone was willing to stick around to see the change happen and how someone who was previously thought to be the worst guy alive can actually use their abilities/personality for good (and often villains are made from loneliness; it's a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy, isn't it?)
again, it's all about reading/watching between the lines. what brought them here? it isn't always going to be spelled out
not every villain needs to change... but the ones that do, or that have the very potential? that's important for a lot of people (like myself) to see! and if we want to fantasize about it or write about it or hope for it, why does that offend you?
or, 2) you don't like how someone else characterizes them for a ship/AU/whatever reason they might have. it's actually fine if someone want to just write about this character not being evil anymore. that's their prerogative. the only issue you'd run into there is if someone's trying to dictate that perspective as fully factual in some way (it's important to set those parameters early in the convo). personal interpretation is an individual thing. there are SO many ways to interpret a piece of fiction and it's okay if every once in a while someone's like "i like this evil character but i like writing about them being good." it doesn't take anything away from you, the way you write or perceive the character, or their canon portrayal.
this example in particular is so NOTHING compared to what i've seen about my faves. a lot of fans can be downright offensive and hateful about my personal taste in faves, toward ME, AS A REAL PERSON WHO LIKES THEM, and that's when i start having a problem. it's important that my faves be horrid and immoral for personal reasons (and for personal reasons i like writing about them having a soft spot for something, ideally me, and having the motivation to not feel so lonely/hurt/etc. anymore and thus becoming a bit of a better person), but i couldn't care less if someone wrote them in a different way that doesn't affect me at all

More of my opinions!
k so I remember when I posted about Cleo and Emma’s mock exorcism for me because they like hazbin hotel (not because they support vivzipop, but because they just like the premise and can overlook the many ways it sucks that I can’t stay quiet about). Well now I’m gonna post more of my opinions with pictures that work so the tumblr algorithm sees a blonde badass mermaid and is all “yeah let’s show this to people” because if I don’t share my opinions here I’m gonna yell at the first person I see about how problematic that book gothikana is.
okay remember that book? yay steamy gothic romance well the male lead is an actual asshole, the subtext romanticizes owning of women, the female main character would be way cooler in a novel about self discovery and if she had a different name.. just name her Raven at this point. Or at least have her acknowledge that the real origin of her name is a bony fish that is actually pretty cool and dare I say cooler than a Raven.. but whatever.
yeah so that book sucks. It’s not as bad as some “dark romance” crap but it’s pretty bad. It’s fine if you like it but you can’t deny all the bad things in it— I hate the way it handles mental health (the most STOCK IMAGE dialogue EVER after some kid JUMPS FROM THE FREAKING ROOF), authors being allergic to the word “said” physically pains me, and this thing is in bookstores everywhere near me. Get it away from me stop. I WILL set it on fire and have to pay for it.
but as sucky as the book is
The line “slightly breathless, severely pissed” speaks to me on a whole other level. Like babe that’s me right now getting ready for a swim to mako while all these opinions swirl in my head.
#h2o mermaid#rikki chadwick#rikki h2o#rikki’s on tumblr#h2o just add water#mermaids#rikkis fiery swagger#riks punk energy#gothikana#corvina clemm#cleo h2o#cleo sertori#emma gilbert#emma h2o#vivziepop critical#angel dust is a horribly written character bye#dark romance stop being problematic and awful challenge instantly fail#opinions#pyrokinesis

Don't mind me being here again with more 0301. This sort of ties in with the "Haruka in skirts" idea, because while I don't see Haruka as trans in either way, I very much think he is very in touch with both his feminine and masculine side and does enjoy both sides of the clothing selection a lot.
So that is an idea I had with a friend recently: Fuuta and Haruka out shopping for clothes, Fuuta does love picking out clothes for Haruka (Village Vanguard outfit anyone??), but he notices Haruka glancing to the more cute clothes/women's clothing a lot, so he gives him the push in saying "You can pick what you like as well, you know?", which gives Haruka the reassurance that it's okay to go for these clothes.
So, much talk, but pls go wild with this scenario and the following clothes shopping
So it wasn't just me who thought Haruka's Village Vanguard outfit looked really really like Futa's style ehehe, in fact, I've had a sketch for a while in my gallery of Backdraft Futa & Village Vanguard Haruka together because their outfits look so similar :33
AND SO SO SO CUTE!!! thank you for this request + I agree with you 100%!! It's cute to think about Futa helping Haruka on the self discovery journey when he decides to be a bit more feminine also, I imagine he'd learn about the kinds of skirts or dresses Haruka likes the most & buy more of them :D ok enough rambling, here's the art, sorry eheh
In case my handwriting is illegible, here's what the images say
Shopping~
F: "Something caught your eye?"
H: "A-Ah, um... No..."
F: "Hey, don't be so shy. If you like something, you can try it. You can pick what you like as well, you know?" (I LOVE THIS LINE, ESPECIALLY IMAGINING FUTA SAYING IT, SO SWEET!!! I MELTED WHEN I READ THE ASK)
H: "Can I try this?"
F: "Of course!!"
Later~
H: "Futa-kun!"
Labels: "Changing rooms" "doorknob"
H: "H-How do I look?"
F: "SO ADORABLE...!!!" *Futa.exe has stopped working*
H: "Can I try another skirt?"
F: "You can try as many skirts as you want..." *SO CUTE AAA* *SCREAMING INTERNALLY*
H: "yay~"
F: "The skirt makes him cute but his happiness makes him cutest ♡"
#THANK YOU FOR REQUESTING#AS ALWAYS!!!! I HOPE YOU LIKE THIS WAAAA#milgram#haruka sakurai#sakurai haruka#fuuta kajiyama#kajiyama fuuta#0301#fuuharu#futaharu#SPREADING THE HARUKA IN A SKIRT AGENDA ONCE MORE#I MUST CONTINUE‼️‼️‼️haru loves frilly skirts i am sure

would love more of your thoughts on the barbie movie. What do you mean about the anthropology of it?
I actually wanted to reply to this but then I was so angry thinking about the Barbie movie that I...didn't. Sorry!
I agree with a lot of what this essay had to say about the movie (except the idea that it wasn't preachy/political from the start, because it 1000% was.)
Basically, I fundamentally disagreed with how the film presented what it is to be human (through the lens of a doll.) The Christian anthropology has man made in the image and likeness of God, and inherently relational with Him. Barbie has its own version of "God", who tells Barbie she's...made for whatever she's made for, idk, even though I created you I always knew you'd grow beyond my control (side note: Toy Story is a way better film about the anthropology of toys because that franchise recognizes they actually were created with a clear purpose outside of themselves.) Barbie's "goals" in the film, in as much as she has any, are to feel good about herself and some nebulous, naval gazing version of "self-understanding." I would argue that the obsession with self-discovery and self-definition is the major lie of the modern era and has made a generation of people totally miserable. They don't realize that they'd be way happier if they realized their lives are not about them.
The reason why Ken stole the show from Barbie is because he actually had a clearly human, discernible and compelling goal: to have a human relationship. To love and be loved. But then Barbie has no interest in human relationships (specifically between men and women.) They're basically presented as different species that have to figure shit out on their own (Ken gets to join Barbie in existential misery at the end, yay!) Even though the film had a montage of motherhood at the end, the fact that is a father is biologically required for that is not explored or even addressed. Why the hell is Barbie going to an OBGYN at the end, anyway?

Currently concocting the most self-indulgent 'normal' Milgram AU in the world right now... I am going to make these fuckers Found Family and give them a chance to come to terms with their situations and themselves...
All through the power of a goddamn fish shop/aquatics store.
Hear me out okay:
So we know that from his interrogation questions, Kazui has a childhood friend who he looks up to, that has a boat and if the world ended tomorrow he would go fishing. He mentions to Mikoto in a timeline conversation that one of of his hobbies is trawling. I am taking these facts and running with them like my life depends on it.
In this AU everyone lives in relative proximity to each other (I will have to think about exactly where later) and are all in different stages of their ‘sins’, but notably no one has actually killed a person.
Kazui is a widower having a midlife crisis at 39 and taking time off of work/leaves his job altogether to pursue something new - like helping out his childhood friend with his fishing-store-come-fishkeeping-aquatics-shop. Yes it’s weird that it’s both but it brings in more footfall and more customers (is what his childhood friend tells him). It becomes a bit of a running gag. Kazui also starts running martial arts classes in the evenings because I can totally see that being something he wished he’d done instead of... whatever his old job was. Anyway, he’s depressed but somewhat happy doing the things he loves.
Meanwhile over to the left we have Haruka finally being discharged from a psychiatric unit on a community treatment order (yay!) Part of that community treatment order includes a program where individuals volunteer in the local community with partnered businesses... Haruka picks the fish shop, obviously. But he’s getting paid for it, because Kazui is not about to agree to free child labour. So Haruka gets a job!
Cue a journey of self-discovery in which Haruka learns he is actually not useless or a burden to society. He can do things? He’s been given responsibility? And he enjoys it?? Mind blown. Kazui is there to support and encourage along the way. Just wholesome all around (except for the trauma Haruka has to unpack about his mother and her fish tank ohoho-)
Haruka is the first kid Kazui ‘adopts’. The second kid is Muu who wanders in the shop one afternoon, missing a shoe and has a thousand-yard stare in her eyes. We then have this scene: Kazui asks if she’s okay and she eventually replies something along the lines of “yeah I’m fine I just tripped while trying to catch up with a... friend” and Kazui then asks if that’s why she’s only wearing one shoe and if she needs a spare and she says “no I just forgot to put it on until now thanks for reminding me” and takes a shoe out of her bag and puts it on. Kazui decides she’s exactly the right kind of person for Haruka to practice his social skills with and gets him to go over there and help her out. They awkwardly talk about the betta fish tank they’re standing next to. She leaves. She comes in the next day and says she’s decided to set up a new tank at home could she get some help with supplies. The rest is history.
Muu starts skipping school and hanging out at the fish shop, to get away from her... situation at school. She still hasn’t talked to Rei since that day in the bathroom. Kazui is slightly concerned but also isn’t a snitch and would’ve bunked off school as a youth so is pretty chill with it as long as she’s safe. The fish crew is born.
Some extra very important bits of lore:
Kazui takes Haruka on dad-and-son fishing trips.
At some point Kazui ‘adopts’ a third kid except it’s actually his child from a fling about two decades ago. It’s Yuno. He doesn't actually know he has a kid until her mother gets into contact with him, saying her daughter wants to meet her biological dad can she please come and see him. Kazui has an existential crisis. Kazui agrees. They set up a date and he's asking his fish shop crew about what kids their age like and learning very little because he’s taken in two very weird teenagers. Muu does end up telling him about brands of makeup/clothes/perfume/etc. that girls like, which of course is all expensive and possibly designer.
So yeah Kazui and Yuno meet and she runs circles around him. She's her wonderfully sweet but cold self. They talk about his dead wife and he is dying inside. They exchange contact numbers and emails. She wants to see him again which surprises Kazui because that's Not the vibe he was getting from her.
The university students exist and they all go to the same one. For now it’s mainly Kotoko and Mahiru lesbian hours. She’s a law student, and she’s a literature student, sharing a class (maybe linguistics) and slowly becoming aware of each other’s existence. Mahiru likes girls but she doesn’t know it yet. Mahiru sits on campus and does a bit of people watching, writing stories inspired by what she sees - and maybe one day she sees Kotoko doing her vigilante shenanigans and falls a little bit in love. Kotoko is oblivious to this (is what she tells herself). They end up working on a class project together and become weird friends.
Kotoko is very much doing her side gig of apprehending criminals and punching the daylights out of them. No deaths... yet. She wants to improve her technique so starts going to the martial arts night classes run by Kazui. Mahiru eventually ropes into watching one time so she can make notes for action scenes she wants to write. She also ends up joining. It's fun!
Haruka also learns some martial arts with Kazui, having one to one sessions before classes start. It’s good for him, to get his pent up anger out in a non-destructive way, to redirect all that energy somewhere. He’s scarily good. This results in him building the courage somewhere down the line to join in on the actual classes, at least every now and then. He and Kotoko spar and it impresses her just a teeeeeny tiny bit.
#milgram#AU#this became a VERY long post but I needed to write Everything down#Ideally it would be great to get everyone together in this au but this is all my brain can do for now...#there's definitely wiggle room here to change stuff and add things!#the yuno and kazui connection is thanks to me seeing that post by tokyogruel one time and immediately agreeing with it#this conglomerate of ideas is quite frankly insane but I hope you can see my vision <3#I mainly made this for myself as inspiration for writing and so that the idea is out there somewhere on the internet if I never get around--#--to acting on it!!#plenty of fish in the sea AU#at least that's the name I'm giving it for now... so I can actually find this post in the future teehee >:3c#kazui mukuhara#haruka sakurai#muu kusunoki#mahiru shiina#kotoko yuzuriha

Red and green in the Puttyuban Bar scene
Nuey is said to love wearing green which earned them the nickname "K̄heīyw kathoey” (green queen). (Thank you Vi for the clarification <3 @disasterbabygirlnick)
Green is often associated with nature and healing for spring, the greenest of seasons, is the season of new beginnings, bringing rebirth to a sleeping world.
This might be a bit far-fetched but the way Nuey dances reminds me of the wind blowing through trees, rustling their leaves. The way they gracefully moves their hips while lifting their arms up, their whole body seems to follow a melody only they can hear. The tree imagery is quite relevant when you consider Nuey’s backstory. James tells Jom that Nuey had to flee Phranakorn to come here and find a new place to stay where they could be safe from violence. Their dance is proof that they have taken root in this city, that although they went through a lot, they can finally let their “green queen” blossom.
What I really want to point out though is that Yai is also wearing green, a green suit to be precise. Just like @respectthepetty always says, colours mean things, especially in a context so full of subtext.
The Puttyuban Bar is a place which embraces queerness and allows everyone to “vent out [their] repressed feelings”, but most importantly, it is Yai’s favourite place.
“In fact, I only discovered it recently. It’s very secretive. So much that not many people know about it.”
I may be completely wrong but when I rewatched this ep, I couldn’t help but think how these words can so easily be interpreted in different ways: quite literally — Yai has discovered a new bar recently that not many people know about — or you can see them as the embodiment of Yai’s self-discovery journey — him falling in love with Jom and the fact that only his sister and perhaps Prik knows that he is queer. As always, I’m over-analysing things so do whatever you want with this interpretation.
What Yai’s father says to Dech might imply that he suspects Yai of not being straight from a young age but that doesn’t mean Yai knew he was queer when he was young. You can feel different and still take a lot of time figuring it all out. Anyway, I’m most likely wrong about this so let’s move on.
You can tell Yai feels at ease bringing Jom in this bar and that feeling of inner peace is embodied by the colour green. But just like there are different shades of green, the green Nuey wears isn’t like the green Yai wears. Nuey is in full bloom whereas Yai is experiencing his first spring.
However what I love most about this whole scene in the bar is how it shows Jom and Yai to be so complementary.
Jom is wearing red and perfectly fits in the bar decor which is Christmas themed (combination of red and green) although it’s his first time there. So is James. The collusion between him and James — they're both wearing red clothes — is reinforced by the fact that they both know they’re gay. By wearing red clothes they feel like a part of the bar (regulars if you will) whereas Yai stands out by wearing green. Although he does stand out, he isn’t out of place because the bar is decorated with red and green ornaments.
(Look at them!! Then look at the garlands!! Even the curtains at the entrance.)
We know that IFYLITA is a story about time-travel and reincarnation and that Yai and Jom are destined to meet. They both feel deeply connected to each other and they feel whole when they’re together. I feel like them wearing red and green, the colours of the Puttyuban bar, a bar that encourages people to be themselves, is quite significant and shows how important they are to each other. Just like red and green are complementary colours, they both belong together.
Bonus: Yai’s tie has hints of red.

Phic Phight - The Bone-Stick Breaker
@46-reasonable-hamsters
Make no BONES about it, there’s a lot of GLOWING remarks in here. A real ILLUMINATING read, that’s positive to leave your eyes SHINING with laughter (and-also-maybe-a-little-bit-of-concern-about-the-authors-mental-state).
Should this be concerning? yeah.
Was it incredibly weird? Yup.
Would any reasonable person be incredibly disturbed right now? YES.
Does Danny need therapy? ABSOLUTELY.
Why you ask?
Oh only because Danny is glowing through the motions of systematically attempting to break every single bone in his entire body one by one, nothing too wild.
Just a little mild self torture is all.
It’s no big deal.
It’s definitely not a sign of a severely unstable psyche, no matter what anyone -Jazz- says.
It’s fun.
That’s a lie.
Well at least it’s Educational.
eh-juh-kay-shuh-nuhl.
Yay! Points for him! And points for another broken bone! A glow-in-the-dark star sticker!
That’s one more rib down!
He’s okay.
Everything is FINE.
It’s not like his boney woney’s are filled with glow-stick juice or anything.
Okay that’s exactly what it is.
He’s a little glowy broken boy.
A bone beater boy.
A real boner if you will.
That was a really dumb joke but he absolutely does not apologize. Just like this is a really dumb plan but he’s not apologising for this either.
Even if his teeth did count as bones and he did attempt to Slap Chop™ one to see what would happen and maybe accidentally sent a chunk flying into the soup pot.
At least he confirmed that yes, his teeth glowed when ‘snapped’, or Slap Chopped™, too.
He’s positive he is absolutely making Technus regret breaking his leg the day before yesterday’s morning, leading to his glowing discovery; all the ghosts were giving positively glowing reviews.
Meaning some were casually cheering the chaos and suffering, and others were begging him to ‘please stop’ and ‘spare us’ and ‘no don’t stab us with your bones! Why do you have bones!’.
But Danny had bones.
Ho boy did he ever have bones.
Bones to pick with everyone that is! Ha!
He’s got this glow stick party going and it’s utterly illuminating the night. Really lighting it up. Giving it a good ol’ spit shine. Absolutely brightening up everyone’s nightmares.
He should start a rave.
A bone glow stick rave.
It would be a bone cracking good time.
Maybe he could liquify some bones, hope they still be shiny, and make a motherfuckin’ proper glowing jello pit. He could use it to try and make people see the light at the end of the tunnel and then all the high people would make a bunch of giggle-watts!
Plus!
Everyone would definitely pay for that!
You know, since he’s not shady!
He is slim though, slim and slime. An ecto-green lime crime, since he be leaving random bones bits around.
The cops must be having a fright over all his nightlights.
He kept ignoring their questioning though, gotta keep the conversations light after all.
Let him be a funky little bean, copper man!
ACAB!
WHOOOOO!
If it was Christmas time he’d replace the city hall Christmas trees star with a bone star. Like a rock star but more him flavoured and more likely to sound like ominous crunching sounds and unholy screams. The kind that would get him basked in holy light out of sheer concern.
Eh. Danny’d still shine brighter.
After all he’s broken a-hundred-and-ninety-two bones, how many bones have those angels broken?
Probably none.
So there.
He’s the winner! Go him! Chicken bone dinner!
Fear the glowing Bone-Stick that is he!
Like a boom stick, except what gets shot and boomed everywhere is BONES!
A real glow up he says, especially since he’s waaaaaaaay brighter.
And then Val has the gaul to catch him in an ecto-net, point at him, and tells him to ‘stop this you menace’ and how ‘seventeen people have vomited because of this crap’ and ‘why is this your response when Tucker cuts off your caffeine supply’.
Which, rude.
Either he got his life blood or they got his bone blood!
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! BONES FOR THE BONE THRONE!
Val tasered him into unconsciousness for that one and Tuck dumped exactly one hundred and ninety eight bags of coffee beans on him.
…
But he made it to two-hundred-and-one on his first try? That’s more bones than what’s in one entire hamster! Doesn’t he deserve better pickings for his lickings?
Should he aim for forty-six hamsters next time? Really shoot for the stars and glow amongst them!
He must acquire more bones! Grow them from the ectoplasmic ether!
For the first time in a long time Tuck punches him.
Do they not understand?
Do they not know?!?
That this only causes the rumblies that only broken bones can satisfy to grow!
He will feast on his complete breaks and be one with THE NIGHT IN UN-DIMMABLE RADIANCE!
Shine bright like a bone diamond!
And be better at hide and glow seek!
But first.
Coffee.
Then after.
Only after.
The Bone-Stick Breaker shall return once more upon this mortal domain!
And with him!
UNENDING GLOW STICK BRIGHTERY!
End.
Prompt: Danny breaks a bone in ghost form for the first time, and discovers that his bones function similarly to glow sticks

for anyone new here, and just to finally establish what naked in manhattan is, here’s an explanation :)
naked in manhattan is a jj au based off the song “naked in manhattan” by chappell roan. it’s based around jj and reader as they navigate a burgeoning sapphic….. not-relationship. it takes heavy inspiration from its namesake, with jj and reader having sleepovers where things get explored, and shy and not-so-shy kisses are had.
there’s kisses and hickies sucked into burning skin, all to the sound of giggles and quiet huffs with the smell of peach perfume blotting the air. it doesn’t go further at first, and that’s fine with them for a while. it’s new and cute and there’s jittery nerves and fear of the unknown but there’s also the very real feeling of knowing that this is something they want to happen, that this is something that has to go further or they might lose it.
there’s a lot of kissing and making out and dry-humping, and they lose a lot of sleep thinking about how it felt to be rubbing against each other through thin, tiny shorts. but it takes a while to finally build up to the breaking point. as chappell said, they so badly want to “make it cinematic.” but again, that fear of the unexplored rears its ugly head.
it’s just self-discovery and exploration, there’s some doubt and “should we or should we not?” but there’s also a lot of sex yay :P
i imagine early seasons jj for this because she’s young. as for her age she’s like 21-22.
i’ve not fully set everything into stone yet, i can’t even tell you how it starts, but that’s the baseline of it all. girls exploring their feelings for another girl and being caught up in the novelty of it.
that’s it for rn :) i love u naked in manhattan jj
