A/n: my name is Michelle in case u couldn’t tell 💀 anyways yeah I’m writing this bc I love soft tsukki but like he’s also gonna be a lil shit at one point bc that’s his brand 😤

It was your 57th day of trying to be tsukkishima kei’s friend. Today was the day you finally broke through, the day he finally didn’t be a little shit, the day his long legs, and his cute blonde hai- wait what. You stop in your tracks realizing what you had thought. Tsukkishima- no saltyshima your maybe-friend cute? No. “Snap out of it y/n,” you tell yourself in your head. “We’ve worked so hard to get to this status. I’m not going to ruin our maybe friendship just because I think he’s cute. Wait what do I mean, I can think my friend is cute I just dont have to have romantic feelings for him. Yeah... yeah. That’s what I’ll do,” you think looking constipated on the outside during your little rant, also not noticing the salty dinosaur behind you.

“Rawr,” he whispers in your ear, bending over almost halfway to reach your ear.

“WTF TSUKKI,” you shout taken by suprise, hearing yamaguchis small giggles behind the beanpole. “YAMAGUCHI. I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS,” you say obviously teasing the olive haired teen. As they apologize, rather insincerely in your opinion, you all walk to school together for their volleyball process, tsukkishima in the middle, you and yams on either side of him.

Halfway to school you and yams talking the entire way, tsukkishima quiet as always, yamaguchi asked you a question that took you off guard.

“Hey y/n,” he started off as you stopped to look at him stopping tsukki and him as well. “What do you think about me and tsukki. Like, do you think we’re attractive?” He asks innocently not knowing your maybe feelings for the salty beanpole watching as your face turned as red as a tomato. “Yeah y/n, what DO you think of us?” Tsukki asked with a smirk, obviously knowing how flustered you were. “Uh-um- I-“ you stammer not knowing how to respond without giving yourself away.

“Wait oml is this making you uncomfortable y/n? I’m so sorry I just thought you and tsukki would be cute together since he-“ yams said although he got cut off by tsukki shoving his palm over yamaguchis mouth shutting him up before you could hear what yams wanted to say. “No yams you’re all good I was just a little suprised, that’s all,” you say not wanting to make it a big deal. In your head though you wonder what yamaguchi wanted to say, maybe tsukki liked you? You weren’t sure but decided against pressing it as all three of you continued your walk to school dropping the subject entirely.

While waiting for yams, you and tsukki were chatting (more like arguing) about your friendship status in the corridor. You said that you and him were best friends while he admitted you were friends, nothing more nothing less. But what you couldn’t see was the way the tips of his ears turned red, his way of blushing, as he said you two were nothing more than just friends as you both try to convince yourselves.

Once yams finally arrived he called out to you two, addressing yall as his “favorite couple” effectively making both of you flustered and jumping 6 feet away from each other. As yamaguchi giggles at the sight of you two obviously crushing on each other, you were trying to forget how close your bodies were, or how he looked while smirking down at you thankful everyone else had left. “Yamaguchi, saltyshima cmon let’s go,” you say wanting to end this conversation fast. “Let’s study at my place today ok?”

“I cant study today I have to go work on my serves but tsukki can go,” you heard behind you as yamaguchi pushed tsukkishima towards you. You rolled your eyes at their antics already ahead of the bean pole, pausing slightly for the other two him to catch up. Once you arrived to your house tsukkishima used his long ass legs to get to your door in 2 long strides opening the door for you, knowing how you hated being so much shorter than him. “After you, munchkin,” he said smirking, opening the door for you, knowing how much his nicknames for you pissed him off.

“Alright fine salty dinosaur,” knowing your nicknames for him annoyed him as well, as you walk into his house making your way up to your bedroom. As you enter you both get started on math, helping each other ever so often, and sneaking small glances at each other, never catching the other. Once finally done with all of your schoolwork, being way ahead of tsukkishima because of your lighter workload, you start to doze off accidentally dropping your head in his lap as you napped. Once he notices he carries you over onto your bed, tucking you in and kissing you on the forehead whispering, “you look cute when you sleep. I love you munchkin.” You mumbling “I love you too salty dinosaur” in your sleep not fully conscious but meaning it entirely, as you pull his arm down onto the bed and cuddle him. As he finally gives in he cuddles you back, finishing his schoolwork on the side (bc school is important. Dont do drugs and stay in school kids 😄☝️). Once finished it was around midnight, so he decided to spend the night, his arms around you, his munchkin.

As you woke up you woke up to someone’s arms around you, a feeling of safety and comfort washing over you. As you turn your head to face this mystery person, you realize your ‘dream’ about confessing to tsukki and him kissing you on the head wasn’t a dream, it was reality. As you shake him awake he looks bewildered as if he was the one who was asleep (half asleep technically but we don’t talk ab that) instead of you.

“Hey,” you say not sure what to say after last night. “Hi,” he says equally as awkward, both of you still tangled up in each other.

“So-“ you both say at the same time breaking off to let the other speak first. “You go first,” you tell him, not even sure what you were about to say anyways.

“Alright fine. Iwaswonderingifyouwantedtodateme,” he said with no spaces in between, making it seem like one word you not understanding a word he said. “What?” you asked silently asking him to repeat himself.

“I was wondering if you wanted to date me,” he said more clearly, openly blushing this time, the two of you finally separate.

“Yes,” you respond without hesitation looking at him with fondness in your eyes. He leans in slightly, using his two hands to cup your face whispering, “is this ok? Can I kiss you?” As you nod and smile. He leans in all the way and you two finally kiss and you feel like the happiest person on the planet.

Once you two get situated, and go out the door to meet yams you find yourself holding his hand and him grabbing for yours. As your hands meet, they fit like two puzzle pieces. Perfectly.

“Why are you two holding hands... OMG OMG OMG. YOURE DATING NOW ARENT YOU. WOW OMG OMG FINALLY MY OTP IS DATING WOW AHHH,” yams screams giggling and bouncing up and down all the way, bombarding you with questions although you noticed there wasn’t much suprise in his eyes. You didn’t question it though, he knew about both of your crushes so you thought that it wouldn’t be much of a suprise.

Right before you enter the gym to say bye to the boys, tsukkishima uses the two of your hands that are connected to twirl you around like a princess at a ball, eventually pulling you flush against him, kissing you while dipping you. “Tsukki-“ you squeak out, him interrupting you saying, “kei. It’s kei to you, munchkin,” slightly smirking as he pulls you in for another kiss, you saying “kei” with a smile right before.

Yamaguchis pov:

I didn’t actually have serving practice. I should probably start out with that. But I just knew stuff was about to go down that night, the night my two best friends finally got together. I called the entire karasuno team as they loved y/n and cared about tsukki. Well at least some of us did. As we spied on the two studying, suga was snapping photos claiming they would be “useful on their wedding day”, daichi looking exasperated with his boyfriends antics. Finally, they fell asleep and on tsukkis lap to say the least and we all heard as he tucked you in, how you two confessed your love for each other, nishinoya and tanaka whisper yelling “yeah y/n, yeah tsukki, get some!!” As them two cuddled and fell asleep suga took some more photos before we all walked to our houses, never to speak of this spying trip ever again. Well, not until the wedding of course ;)

Extended ending LMAOOO:

As tsukkishima walked into the gym, with the whole team seeing the adorable kiss the two shared (including ukai, takeda, kiyoko, and yachi), nishinoya and tanaka jumped on him, bombarding him with questions and whining as to how the beanpole got a s/o before them. Everyone else was shrieking, the two girls talking about how adorable the kiss was, the guys threatening tsukki to take care you you well before the coaches broke it up, congratulated tsukki and started practice.
