Hello there! Care to share with me what got you into star wars (Anidala/Vaderdala, particularly)? And I'm currently reading Beauty & Rage, and let me tell you; Friday is one of the days of the week I look forward to along with Wednesdays (iykyk)

Thank you so much! I'm so happy you're enjoying Beauty & Rage, it's been so much fun for me to write it! Sorry it's taken me so long to get to your question, things have been a little crazy for me!

I'm going to start by answering your question of what got me into Star Wars:

I honestly don't remember the first time I watched Star Wars. Both of my parents were born in 1972, so they were 5 when Star Wars: A New Hope came out for the first time. They grew up as the Original Trilogy was coming out and became pretty big fans of the movies.

My first Star Wars memories weren't even of the movies– they are of my sister and I pretending to be Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader (I was Darth Vader, of course) and fighting with imaginary lightsabers. I must have been 3 or 4?

Star Wars was just a part of me for as long as I can remember.

Alright, what got me into Anidala/Vaderdala?

When I was 3, The Phantom Menace came out. I don't remember watching it, but as I got a little older, I remember thinking Padmé was awesome and she became my favorite female SW character (it was previously Leia and my favorite character overall was Vader).

I was 6 when Attack of the Clones came out and Anakin immediately became my first love.

Like instantly.

Second he was on screen?

Boom.

I was in love.

Anakin was my favorite character from that moment on.

And then when I was 9, Revenge of the Sith came out and it broke my heart. (ROTS is also what made me realize I wanted to be a writer.)

Even though I already knew Darth Vader had been Anakin Skywalker, seeing it happen, seeing why he became what he became and how it was all for love and then how all amounted to nothing… it just destroyed me, and I hated it and I loved it and it immediately became my favorite thing ever.

To this day, Revenge of the Sith is my favorite movie– in Star Wars, and in general.

When it comes to Anidala, I have never seen true love in any movie or book so all-encompassing, so pure, so transcendent. I love how Anakin and Padmé's love for each other never faltered. Even as Palpatine tried to poison it, he never succeeded in turning Anakin against Padmé.

I love (and hate) that scene in ROTS where Anakin and Padmé meet one final time, and they both hurt each other so deeply that neither of them ever recover, and it's all just a terrible misunderstanding. They both love each other too much to see through their own pain.

Padmé has gone to him, and is willing to forgive Anakin for the horrible things he's done ("Come away with me, leave everything else behind while we still can"). The understanding they have for each other is boundless. She understands why he's done what he's done, and yet he hurts her, and this is something Anakin would never do. This is so unlike the man she knows, he would never ever hurt her. And the fact that he's hurting her means that in some way, she has lost him– the only person she has ever truly loved, the only person who truly knows her– and this breaks her.*

Anakin has just sold his soul– he even cries as he stares down upon the lava rivers of Mustafar, and my interpretation is that he's crying because he's dealing with the terrible things he's done. But it's worth it, because now he'll be strong enough to save the only person in the galaxy who matters, the only person who truly knows him. And then she arrives, and looks at him with horror in her eyes and says she doesn't know him anymore. And he looks up, and there's Obi-Wan. And he realizes that the woman he's just sold his soul for, the woman he's committed atrocities for wants him dead. This is more than he can bear. He has not stopped loving her, he is just so consumed in his own pain– the pain of realizing that Padmé brought Obi-Wan there to kill him, the pain of realizing that maybe she doesn't love him anymore– and it hurts so much and he just can't listen to her excuses and her lies, because every word breaks him more.**

In my opinion, even in this terrible, heartbreaking scene, George Lucas (along with Natalie Portman and Hayden Christensen) did a fantastic job of showing that they still loved each other more than anything, even here.

But everything around them was falling apart.

I loved it because– even at the end, both of them were trying so hard to save each other that they destroyed themselves in the process.

They’d said he was scheduled for a scan tomorrow, for the staging. But what should he do with the remainder of today, now that everything has changed, and – looking out over medbay, feeling out across the ship, as he always can – simultaneously nothing is different at all? On the galaxy turns, but, somehow, here, nothing can be as it was any longer. “Obi-Wan?” It startles him, then makes him feel bad, realising he’d forgotten Cody was there. He feels acutely ill, wondering whether this means Cody is seeing him differently, with revised opinions and fresh doubts. He feels none of that from the man he’s come to call a friend, knows Cody is better than some shallow revision of opinion such as those, but the worry, it flays him open.

Here it is, presented to him quietly, and without fuss. This is not the way things usually go for him in this medbay – there is none of the panic, the urgency that comes with landing himself in here. There are no medics running around, no beeping machines or wheeling-carts ready to rescue him. He is lucid. His medics are calm, if a little apprehensive. And the path before them, while unclear, is something rote. He is not the first being in the galaxy that has been told such things, and he certainly shan’t be the last. Why does it feel like the galaxy is collapsing down to this one, single room, then? He comes back into himself, seeing the room around himself again, when Cody’s chair creaks. It comes a moment before the man himself lays a firm hand on his back, just over his nearest shoulder-blade. It is quiet for a moment, as this whole process has been. He wonders why no-one is screaming and shouting about this. These medics will have to learn medicine they’ve not been trained for. Will have more on their plate. His capabilities as a General are about to be called into question, surely. It is too quiet in this room for the way his mind is raring and racing.

obikin: Obi-Wan is the truly unhinged one in the relationship. Sorry. He puts up a good front but I thoroughly believe that man would, if the circumstances aligned, out-unhinge Anakin in every conceivable metric, and he'd somehow make it all appear reasonable. Totally what he had to do at that moment. There was no better choice available.

jonelias: if "soulmates" existed in TMA, Elias would have had zero compunction about killing his soulmate if necessary. (Though he'd simply avoid or politely reject them if it weren't.) And if they kept being reincarnated? He'd still maintain the same stance. Not interested. Not useful to him. But Jon, Jon is the one he chooses, and that's far more meaningful to him than something as insignificant as a soulmate. (and if Jon also has a soulmate, well... he'll deal with that in whatever way he must.) (And I don't mean he'd automatically kill them!) (Unless he personally finds them unworthy) (then all bets are off)

hartwin: Eggsy is the sane, practical one. Harry has gone too long being the wild card, being too good, too lucky, too independent. Harry overly relies on money, on technology, on social cachet to ease his way through what little of every day life he must go through in between Kingsman and missions for Kingsman. That isn't to say Harry is incapable of being a competent adult, it's that he hasn't needed to for decades, and he's redirected his energy to the spy life. He can charm anyone... but he's rusty at actually having relationships. At building a life with someone. At having someone else in his space. In having anything even remotely resembling a work/life balance. Eggsy might think Harry is someone to emulate and learn from, but to Harry, Eggsy legit is the better half of their relationship.

uh damn that's hard??? There's a lot of valid answers that could go here. So. Um. I'm going to cheat :D I'd love a GFFA fanfic that is mostly focused around what happened when Anakin became a Force Ghost, and his reunion with Obi-Wan. And it could take place across different timelines and flashbacks or w/e (that's what I've been thinking for a fic) but the main emphasis is their new situation, a fourth (master/padawan, generals, enemies) iteration of their ever-shifting dynamic, and one that I really never see explored. And I'd love to see @darthwillies tackle it and make me cry. my second dream plot is that I'd love to see @underacalicosky tackle an obikin werewolf or witch AU! thinking modern day, Anakin having been raised alone, either unaware that he wasn't the only one or knowing that there were more [werewolves/witches] out there but finding that they were unwilling to even go near him or would attack him unprovoked when he approached. So he's twitchy, wary, a total asshole at the slightest thing that sets him off, but oh does he want to learn. And of course he's ridiculously powerful/a prodigy and how did he even survive this long by himself, where did he even come from, and Obi-Wan knows everyone is asking themselves this, maybe he volunteers to teach Anakin what he needs to know, maybe he's ordered. But none of that matters if he can't get Anakin to trust him first.

Apologies for the long rant, but my mind is racing-

A part of me thinks Crosshair is already working for Rex and Ahsoka and Senator Organa's fledgling rebellion.

Ik it's a long shot but just hear me out-

It's what Rampart said to him:

"Funny, isn't it? How clones around you keep disappearing?"

So... What if CROSSHAIR is behind all the AWOL clones? But Rampart has found out about TBB being alive, so what if he's maybe trying to play Crosshair while Crosshair was maybe trying to play him?

So another thought: What if Crosshair actually isn't siding with the Empire, but is the Luthen Rael of TBB now?

"I'm condemned to use the tools of my enemy to defeat them. I burn my decency for someone else's future. I burn my life to make a sunrise that I know I'll never see. And the ego that started this fight will never have a mirror or an audience or the light of gratitude. So what do I sacrifice? Everything!" - Luthen Rael, ANDOR S1:EP10

Crosshair keeps saying he does what needs to be done.

We don't know when or IF Crosshair got his chip out... So that's what's making me kinda iffy on this theory. If it was, I suspect it was early on in S1.

So that would mean he wounded Senator Onn Free Ta, he killed his TK squadron, he killed Governor Tawni Ames, he went above and beyond to show his loyalty to the Empire... But if his chip is out, what makes him different from dummy droids or even chipped regs who can't fight it?

He has to live with it.

We see he's having trouble sleeping. Instead of being with his brothers, he's surrounded by people who don't even want to eat a meal with him. He suffers degradation from his superiors and is not even a ranking officer anymore, and apparently went 32 rotations before being so graciously rescued by the Empire Rampart distinctly told him... left him for dead.

He knows he's worth nothing to them. He knows he'll never be considered a big part of the Empires predicted success. He'll be used and discarded.

But what if Crosshair's first act of saving clones from the Empire was making them think his own family was dead and they have no clue, he just made them think he was siding with the Empire since they refused and he didn't want them to know anything to protect them in the end?

But what if Crosshair was already working for the Rebellion in the last episodes of S1? And he wanted to recruit his family into the Empire because like he and Rex said, their squad could be a tremendous asset? They could help people?

This theory makes me nervous tho, for there always comes a time where the person on the inside gets found out... And die somehow.

More recently, Tala Durith (Obi-Wan Kenobi) and Lieutenant Gorn (ANDOR) to name a few.

In conclusion, in this episode, I saw smth different in Crosshair which is also why I've created this double-crossing theory. To me, he didn't look like the emotionless regs under the influence of the inhibitor chip. He looked kinda shifty. Wary. His obedience both in tone and physical demeanor seemed forced. And the way he and Commander Cody interacted in front of the Memorial, it was almost as if they were speaking in code. I don't believe Cody approved of Crosshair's ways on this mission. He was disappointed, obviously, and I think wants Crosshair to fight in a different way of their aware of each other's double-crossing, hence his parting words:

"You know what makes us different from battle droids? We make our own decisions. Our own choices... And we have to live with him too."

Cody made the decision to flee... He may be regretting it now seeing the extent Crosshair went to ensure he could if he was told to contact Crosshair by a trusted ally. He wants Crosshair, who apparently does think for himself, to think more carefully. He might not want Crosshair to feel what he might be feeling now: not liberated, but loathing. Himself.

Ofc I'm aware of the second theory: Cody has suffered the same fate as Wilco... So when Rampart says this to Crosshair, maybe this means that there's been lots of deaths in the Clone Army, and Cody is dead like them now. And what Rampart said to him is a veiled threat that the tiniest of slip up will result in the same fate for Crosshair. Heck, he'll probably push and pull him a few times for fun, he probably doesn't mean to keep him around for long

it took so long trying to pick something from how to say someones name like a string of letters (its my favourite of ur fics ive reread it like. Eight times at least) buti ended up going with this one

“I had to write a personal essay to get into my masters program. And I wrote about you.”

They’re just close enough together that Anakin can feel the way Obi-Wan tenses. He always knew how to prepare for the heavy hits. “Oh?”

“Mm,” he hums. “About how you taught me the importance of structural integrity. And that it took a relationship I spent thirteen years building collapsing around me to figure out I couldn’t move through life ignoring weak spots I didn’t want to see. Sometimes homes just...have to fall down. Pretty sure they only accepted me because they felt bad or something, but it was a good essay.”

(from this dvd commentary ask game three months ago im sorry, but basically people sent me passages from my fics for me to give commentary on like what i wanted the passage to do, what the moment means for the fic, what's going on in the characters' heads, why i wrote it, etc etc)

this is from how to say someone's name like it's just a string of letters - which i think is really one of my favorite fics i've written for obikin hands down, like. it's almost not an obikin fic and almost just the author reliving nostalgia and heartbreak upon returning to her hometown for the first time in a while wanting to make things better but knowing she cannot BUT these characters can and getting catharsis from their reunion and reconciliation lol who said that

this passage is a great one to pick because i love the way they are in this moment....anakin wants to hurt obi-wan still, he sees him sitting next to him and needs to hurt obi-wan. what he tells obi-wan is mean and cruel and he knows it--he wants all of it to hurt when it hits him, anakin is searching for something he can hit obi-wan with that he'll never see coming and that he'll never recover from, because that's how anakin has felt for the last fifteen years.

but he's also being very honest here-- it's just weaponized honesty. what he's telling obi-wan is a bit 'i went on to get my masters, and i know you didn't go to get a bachelors and that's a sore spot for you i want to press until you bleed like you made me bleed' but it's mostly 'i have spent years analyzing our relationship and i found these weaknesses that i'm telling myself i ignored when i was younger. we were never ever going to be able to make it. we were never ever going to survive'

and he doesn't actually even really believe it's true, but he wants obi-wan to believe it's true and he's convinced himself he believes this too.

but it's just meant to hurt obi-wan because anakin is hurting, and it does! it forces obi-wan into his confession too: that he writes about anakin, which is mostly indicative of him still loving and thinking of anakin, but it's obi-wan offering up his secret identity/pen name to anakin as a "this was always for you a little bit, i have been reliving our relationship, even the weak points, while you watched us burn" sort of thing

MY THOUGHTS ON TBB 2x03 "The Solitary Clone"

I'll start saying that the episode was pretty much as I thought it would be. The only thing I got wrong was the location, and it was a confusion on my part about the Battle Memorial.

I have so many feels for Crosshair 😩 my poor baby! I just want to wrap him with a blanket and hug him forever. He's so alone 💔💔💔

Even if it felt like a knife to gut to know that he spent a month stranded, like yikes 😬😬, I'll say that he brought that to himself! I said it from the beginning, whatever happened to him there would be his own fault for not accepting his brothers' offer to go with them. He didn't even have to go permanently with them, just off-world and be dropped somewhere safe. But he didn't want to. What could've the batch done? Kidnapped him, take him away by force and take his choice away? No, so, for much it hurts, he cannot blame anyone but himself.

Despite all that, I can't imagine how awful Crosshair feels. You'd think that the Empire not appearing either during that time would clue him how unimportant he is for them. And yet... *Sighs* As a Rebels fan, this is such a deja vu.

The Rampart's dig about not being fit for command, that he'll be under the command of someone else, yikes 😬, it was insult to injury. I'd say a hard hit to Crosshair's pride. One done on purpose. Hate you Rampart! But I guess that it solves the question I had about how could go the relationship between Cross and ES-02. I mean, I don't think she'd have follow his orders after what happened in Kamino.

But it's Cody, which is both good and bad! Because now my heart is broken for both of them 😭😭😭😭😭😭 At least, he cares about Crosshair, and Cross respects him a great deal.

Is it me or Crosshair got just a tad defensive when Cody confirmed that he wasn't surprised that the batch went rogue because they're different by design and Cross retorts that Regs have gone AWOL too. I think it was both another hit to his pride and he didn't like to be reminded that he's different.

The Cody-Crosshair team-up is awesome (even if it's for the Empire) . They work awesome together.

Why?! Why do they have to name Clones for me to get attached to and then kill them right after? WHY?!!! RIP Nova and Wyler 😭💔

Ok This is so hot 🥵🥵 both Cross doing amazing shots with the reflective disks and Cody going a la Hunter with the knife

Cody negotiating just like Obi-Wan would have 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 and I knew Crosshair was going to be the one shooting the governor 😐 baby no! 😭😭😭

See, this is why clones were never going to last much in the Empire. More than accelerated aging or anything else, it's their moral code, which eventually start clashing with that the Empire. Crosshair stays out of pride and stubbornness. Hopefully, seeing that even Cody defected (WOOHOO!!!! 😁 We're going to see him in another episode right?! Right?!), he starts thinking through what's he's doing.

But I'm TERRIFIED that Rampart is believing Crosshair is somehow helping other clones to defect, when all he does is to cling desperately to the Empire, looking for something he always had and now lost. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I loved many moments in this episode, but i think the most important is at the end when Cody when Cody and Crosshair are back to the Battle Memorial and Cody remarks that they're not droids, that make their decisions and have to live with them. I only hope those words are food for thought for Crosshair.

He'd definitely try and drag you on as many missions as possible regardless of your status because it means he can keep an eye on you and keep you safe. He's fairly protective by nature, and it means he gets quality time with his significant other, so to him? It's a win.

That said? I wouldn't be surprised if a few arguments arose between you both because of the missions he doesn't want you going on with him because it's "too dangerous."

We've seen it platonically with Ahsoka, and several times with Padme, so it's safe to say he dislikes when the risk is a little too high for you. If you're capable of protecting yourself it certainly eases his heart a tad- double that if you're force sensitive- but that doesn't stop his anxieties. That said, you'll probably have similar concerns for him, so you'll both have that to look forward to.

Anakin will almost always make a game out of missions with you. He's well known for droid kill count competitions with his padawan- but you make them more entertaining.

Your easy-going nature is something he admires, and before you were together it was definitely something that drew him to you.

He's charismatic by nature, but seeing someone who's fully capable of getting along with him, his padawan, his master, AND his troops is a sight and a half. Talk about a fast pass to earning brownie points.

Mischievous as you are, that gremlin energy was also a major factor in why he liked you. You clicked almost immediately.

Creativity comes in many facets, and whether it's doodling in a sketchbook or... less than orthodox methods of getting things done? He finds it endearing.

Any time he can get alone time with you, he'll take it. Believe me when I say that he'll listen to you ramble about anything for hours. Sometimes the things you come up with absolutely baffle him.

Hope you like cuddling and physical forms of affection, because he certainly does. Messing with your hair, hugs, kisses, the whole nine yards. He gets what he can, and if you think he isn't going to attempt to steal kisses while people aren't looking, you're wrong.

This was a thing even before you were an item. He stole it in front of Obi-Wan, and the poor man just shook his head and sighed as he watched you book it after him in a desperate attempt to get it back.

He keeps a mental tally of how many times he's kept it from you versus how many you've successfully stolen it back from him. Will argue against you getting a point if he was "distracted" by someone else when you got it, but you and he both know who the winner really was.

Would absolutely adore it if you gave him a keepsake he could wear out on missions when he was away from you. Don't think you'll be conning him into wearing a beanie with his robes anytime soon though.

Has definitely sent one of his boys to give you a gift disguised as something important for a mission, when in reality it was probably something goofy he snagged on one of his trips without you.

This has happened a few times, but I like to think at least one of these 'mystery gifts' was a beanie, or something similar.

Anakin's absolutely enamored with you. He loves giving his beloved boyfriend compliments whenever he can... to the degree that having to disguise the loving nature of them in public mildly annoys him.

He has thought about ditching the order a few times for you, but is also torn because of his sense of duty to his men, the Jedi, and the people of The Republic.

The theater kid aspect could enter the playing field in a number of ways depending on what role you played in theater- ex: minor actor, major actor, set designer, lighting and sound tech, etc.

In all honesty I'd wait there's too much at stake at the beginning because at one point whoever you choose can be too brash or act irrational and try to kill Palpatine

Instead I'd be gathering evidence, enough to prove Palpatine is a sith, and assuming due to the fact we can only tell one person and no one else can now, that means Palpatine won't find out I know so I'd do a couple years gathering evidence

Once Ashoka leaves the jedi order, I'll bring her in on it, and since Maul and Savage most likely know who Palpatine is, I will bring them in on it and since Maul offered Ashoka to be his apprientice on Mandalor, there must be a reason why the duo could have stood a chance against Palpatine (so yeah recruiting them both will definitely benefit the mission). That's three force users on my side, and access to funds from Maul's criminal organisation.

Then I'd start rumours about Palpatine, which will most likely be dismissed however I believe Bail Organa will get suspicious so that would bring him into the fold as well (due to the fact I can show evidence to Organa and not tell him, I'm showing him), some political power there, good way of letting rumours and suspicion enter the political circles. Because Bail Organa is already suspicious of Palpatine, no one can tell me otherwise

And then I'd also recruit Fives, because he knows about the chips, I'll save him before he dies, and show the evidence, get him into the fold through giving him the motivation to save his brothers from being mindless tools of war.

And then we can gather enough evidence because Fives would bring his brothers in on this, the ones he knows we can trust to keep it quiet.

Then Ahsoka, Maul and Savage (if we're able to suceed at preventing his death) will go into a senate meeting as the evidence begins to be broadcast across the galaxy, and Palpatine will be caught of guard by it however he'll use his sith abilities against the trio, and since Palpatine won't have his lightsabers on him (since they'll most likely be in his office as he thought the senate meeting would be a normal one), gives us even more of an advantage as Bail starts to evacuate the other senators (to a designated safe point), I'll be in there, shutting the building down, so no one can get in (Anakin) due to their loyalty to the Palpatine, Fives will hide in one of the those flying things the senators usually are in ready to shoot, he will have a normal gun that way the blaster shots aren't reflected back by accident when he sees an opening.

And Ahsoka would have learnt force stuff from Maul (she won't fall to the dark side, I can't ever see that happening in these circumstances) which would give Ahsoka an extra edge which she can use in the fight.

Who kills him will be ultimately dependent on if the force users (Ahsoka, Maul and maybe Savage) gets a chance to kill him or if Fives find the perfect opportunity to get a head shot or a shot in the chest at the right timing.

While this is going on me and Bail will meet up and find the pad with the order 66 command on and disable the command.

At this point an angry Anakin has most likely broke through, aswell as other jedi, Bail will most likely have instructed for Padme to find Anakin. i'm relaying that Mace Windu gets to the senate room before any other jedi because he'll join in the fight against Palpatine, if he ain't dead already and helps to kill him.

And if we're successful, it's getting Maul and Savage to leave before Obi-Wan enters the senate hall, with Ahsoka and Fives following us - then decide from there what we want to do - Fives will obviously want to go to Kamino to ensure the chips are taken out of his brothers before shutting the cloning facility down.

Bail Organa would probably grant the team political immunity due to his political power and we would push him to become Chancellor because the man would be a good Chancellor for the Republic.

And you can't say I told Bail Organa or Fives because I showed them the evidence not told them, and Maul and Savage most likely knew who Palaptine was thanks to Maul, so I'm not showing or telling them either, I'm only recruiting them. The only one that I actually tell is Ahsoka. So I am playing by the rules however I am using loop holes. Because I don't think getting Padme to poison Palpatine's drink will work, because Palpatine is a sith lord we have to get him by surprise a moment when he won't be expecting to be attacked and revealed.

And since I'm trying to avoid Savage's death the mandalor arc probably won't happen due to that so he won't die which means that Satine most likely won't die, so her and Obi-Wan would still be able to see each other. I can't be sure of after the fight with Palpatine because of Maul and Savage will definitely still want revenge on Obi-Wan I can't control that, I wouldn't try to stop the two by myself, that's a death wish - I would try to stop their want for revenge but I won't force it because I do desire to live

The Republic and Separatists can have their own political fractions but a peace treaty will be in order. Because I do think now that Count Dooku won't be manipulated by Palpatine he could be a good political leader now he's free from Palpatine's chains. Or combine forces again in their own regard. Because there would be so much to sort out between both political groups in all honesty.

The main reason why I didn't choose Anakin because he's already deep within Palpatine's manipulation before the clone wars since he was a padawan so choosing Anakin would be dangerous. I didn't choose Padme because she would be pregnant by the time I decided would be best to attack Palpatine, I don't want to endanger her kids. I didn't choose Yoda because he'll be 'trust in the force I must' and he failed to beat Palpatine in battle in og timeline, I ain't risking that. i didn't choose Mace purely because I wanted his recklessness and willingness to kill Palpatine to kick in during my teams attack on Palpatine so he would join the battle and help kill Palpatine.

And R2-D2 I ain't telling because he's a droid if his memories are checked it can show people I don't want to know that Palpatine is a sith which could lead to Palpatine finding out if R2-D2's memories are checked by people loyal to Palpatine.

You're Perfect Darling

Pacing around my quarters I bite my nails trying to block out the unwanted thoughts plaguing my mind. The ones that keep saying that Obi-wan would leave me because I am too short compared to his height. Trying my best I didn't want to be insecure of my height but it still manages to happen every once in a while. The door to my quarters opened and closed meaning he was returning from a meeting with the Jedi Council. Exiting the bathroom I try and hide the evidence that I had been crying by getting rid of the tissue on the floor but he can read my stance even when the evidence is gone. "Why have you been crying darling?" Tilting my head down to the ground I bite my lip not giving him an answer.

"Y/n look at me. You know you can tell me anything right?" He asked taking my face in his hands so I'd look him in the eye instead. He used his thumbs to wipe away the tears. But I don't answer him instead I bury my face into his robe feeling my cheeks turning red. If I tell him he'll probably laugh at how silly it sounds. "Darling tell me what's wrong. I can't fix it unless you tell me, please." He begged pulling my chin up giving me the innocent puppy dog eyes I was weak for. Wrapping my hands around the brown robe I croaked through tears to my boyfriend's question. "It's stupid...I'm afraid you'll...leave me because I'm short." Immediately I bury my face in his chest waiting for him to laugh or just leave right then and there. Yet that's not what happened at all, he picked me up bridal style sitting me down on the bed.

He bends down on his knees ditching his boots and robe on the floor leaning up to start kissing me slowly. He moves his kisses all over my face making me release a fit of giggling at his innocent actions. "Obi-wan why are you doing this?" I asked trying to control the smile on my face when he pulled away. He rests his hands on either side of me flashing his smile. "Because I love you Y/n. No matter you're height and you need to know that. You deserve to see you the way I do." Raising my hands over my mouth I started crying again but this time they were happy tears in relief. "You really mean it, Obi-wan. You don't think I'm too short?" He shakes his head getting up and pulling me to sit on his lap. Our arms around the other like it wasn't forbidden. "Yes my dear Y/n. You're everything I want. You're perfect my darling." For the first time today I finally was the one to start the kiss and he kissed back with all the love he had.

D | Dreams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

Anakin doesn't think too far ahead about these things. He enjoys the secrecy in the beginning; all the stolen kisses and hidden visits. He says someday things will change and they can be more open, but he doesn't have any idea of what that might look like.

Obi-Wan is sort of a cynic about the future, at least when considering his partner. He knows he'll have some difficult decisions to make if he wishes to be with them long-term, and he puts them off as long as possible.

Luke also doesn't dream much about the future, but mainly because he's so content with how things are in the present. Continuing to build a Jedi school with his partner is all he has on his mind for a while.

Mace entertains a few ideas about the future. Some kids, for sure, but lots of travel and charitable commitments to keep them both busy. He wants their life together to have meaning, to give as much hope and empowerment to the galaxy as they give each other.

Cal isn't picky about where their future is headed, so long as they can stay side-by-side. Companionship means everything to him, and most likely he'd find himself with a person who dreams enough for the both of them.

J | Jealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?

Anakin gets unnecessarily jealous and definitely shirks his responsibilities in order to show up the other person and prove to his partner he's the best. He needs lots of reassurance in his relationship.

Obi-Wan doesn't feel jealous so much as guilty. He wishes he could spend more time with his partner than he is able, so when he sees someone else seemingly filling the gap, he beats himself up over it.

Luke sometimes feels a little sting of jealousy, usually when he's already frustrated by something else in his life. He actively tries to push down these feelings, knowing they're unhealthy and unproductive.

Mace, for the most part, does not get jealous. But there are certain things that get under his skin and cause him to lash out in subtle, petty ways. Like when someone gets his partner a nice gift.

Cal is never jealous. He couldn't explain why if you asked, he just has this sense of inner peace about it all. He would never want his partner to be isolated from others because of his own insecurities.

V | Volume - How loud they are, what sounds they make

Anakin is a talker. He might have some grunts here and there, but he's mostly just talking through the whole thing... praises, dirty talk, questions about how he's doing, the whole bit.

Obi-Wan is pretty quiet. Maybe he's afraid of getting caught, or maybe he's just not sure how to express himself in that way, but he keeps things muted to faint whispers and held breaths.

Luke is a whiny boi. He can't help himself. He's not particularly loud about it, but it's noticeable enough that his partner may be thrown off by it their first couple of times.

Mace is just as calm, cool, and collected in bed as he is anywhere else. He's not going to make many sounds, or even breathe too hard, unless he's really, really, really worked up.

Cal can be talkative as well, though he usually sticks to quick, sweet nothings over anything dirty or conversational. He gets louder and more moan-y the longer he goes at it.

Luke has no idea what weight he holds on his shoulders. he has no idea that there is a galaxy that is looking for him to be its guiding light. he's completely unaware of the way things are going to fall into place, but for now, he's just a boy with an itch for adventure, ready to soar up into the skies and see what it has to give. he might not have any idea what's waiting for him, but when the time comes, he will be ready. he'll be ready for whatever is waiting for him - ready to learn the truth of where he's come from and just what his name means. Luke Skywalker is a child now, but soon, he won't be, soon he'll grow up and become the man that Obi-Wan believed he could be. and oh, how he will shine - brighter than the suns of Tatooine.

but for now, he smiles as he climbs over the ledge, fingers clutching onto rock as he hauls himself upwards. he takes the hardest path possible, trying to figure out how to climb the hardest trenches. he wants to challenge himself and challenge himself, he does as he slips, but immediately regains his strength as he hauls himself up. then, he's standing on top of the ledge, staring out across the farm, staring at it with wide blue eyes.

"woah," he says, amazed. it looks beautiful from up here, even Luke can appreciate that even at his young age.

he looks up at Ben as he speaks and frowns, listening to what he says as fingers clutch tightly together. "she didn't know she was wrong?" he questions, looking up at him as if expecting Ben to have all the answers. "i hope she's learned better. i was scared- i was really scared. i've never seen aunt Beru and uncle Owen so worried before." it's amazing to see that even after all that had happened, the one thing that had him fearing for his life, was the fact that his aunt and uncle were worried - not because he was afraid of dying.

he looks away from Ben, back to staring down at his farm. he can see uncle Owen in the distance, working on something. "i hope she's okay," he tells him honestly. "i could feel her fear." he pauses then, looking back up at Ben as he says it, looking worried. "is that weird ? am i supposed to feel her fear, Ben ? cause i could feel it. she was scared and it scared me. scared people can be scary sometimes. uncle Owen tells me i'm not supposed to feel other peoples' feelings, but i do. i can feel them. i could feel their fear, too. it's right here-" he feels over his heart, staring up at Ben, waiting for an answer from him.

he looks to the city as Ben speaks about it, looking down at it with awestruck eyes. "wow," he says, voice filled with amazement. "i can't wait." then, he looks back at Ben again, always looking to Ben for guidance. "do you really think i'm brave ? like my father?"

He was the chosen one.

There was no other way, Luke was the most important person within the entire galaxy, it all comes down to him now, a heavy burden, but now he was sure that this was how things are meant to be, how they are meant to play out, he has to place his truth into Master Yoda and all that he had taught him, that the balance of the force, can still be brought, if Luke reaches age and feels his power and the calling.

If he can understand what was out there, how bad things are.

The choice has to be made by Luke.

The mistakes of the Jedi, to which they had carried out a great many of them, had aided and lead to what the galaxy has become here and now, he often looks back and see, how poor choices all around had allowed the Sith to gather there power and strength, grow and to be so powerful, but able to hide right before their very eyes as well.

“Just a little bit further.” As he leads him forward then and takes him up the slope, and upwards, to allow him to walk at his side and climb with him as he takes him upwards, to the top of the ridge and then further upwards to the cliff, keeping him close. “There.” He points out Luke's own farm, his home and all the land that his family own, impressive, for a boy his age, endless golden sands, as far as the eye can see, safety as well, for they would always be able to see them coming.

“She was wrong, what she did, but I believe, she knows that now and has found her peace …” Wherever she might have gone, the path was her own to walk, he could not aid her, and he could not be there for her, she had to walk in on her own and learn about the right choices and the allure of the dark side of the force as well, as he would let him turn around and see, the city in the distance, one of a handful on the world, that have a great many things there, and hardly any of them, are even good.

“One day, when you come of age, you will go there, to trade, to meet new friends, to learn, and it will be everything you had dreamed it would be, like an entire new world and you might be scared, at first, but I believe, you are one of the bravest people, I have ever crossed in my life, I doubt you scare easily.”

Yes yes Obi-kin is such a lovely ship. Master/Padawan love (be it forbidden attachments or not) is honestly adorable and because it's Obikin it's gonna be ten times sadder. But then comes in cute baby Luke to soothe those old wounds. Let's go anon!

Padme is dead at his feet. Little Luke squirming in his hold as Bail holds Leia. He tells Bail to go. To take Leia to safety. He will go to Tatooine to send Luke to safety. His mission is cut short when low and behold a defected Anakin is awaiting him with Beru and Owen as his hostages.

"Anakin, let them go! They're innocent!" Obi-Wan cries. Anakin glances down at the bundle in Obi-Wan's arms. "Then give me what I want." Obi-Wan clutches the baby, not harmful but protective. "You will not have him." "I didn't say I wanted just him."

Obi-Wan agrees. He'll go with Anakin. Only to watch over Luke. To make sure Anakin-er, Vader. Won't hurt him. Anakin rolls his eyes at the same. "It was a stupid name. Fuck that nerfherder." Obi-Wan wonders is Sidious is dead. But they have to be on the run, so that's a no.

Obi-Wan holds Luke closely as they settle into their new home. It's far away. The baby fusses as he wants to eat something and Obi-Wan is right on it with a warm bottle. Anakin startles him as he enters the nursery. "Things will be different Obi-Wan.....master." Anakin sounds so painful as he holds a finger out for Luke to clutch. Obi-Wan says nothing. Anakin will have to prove that.

Luke is a toddling little baby who loves to giggle, suckle on his feet and hands and is supposed to be down for a nap but Anakin likes watching him while he's awake and squirmy.

Obi-Wan would be the more sensible parent-guardian (of course). He's looking into lessons to prepare Luke for the future while Anakin is screaming at how in the hell Luke managed to use the Force to crawl on the ceiling.

Anakin likes it when it's his turn for bath duty. That means sharing a big bubble bath with tons of toys and bathroom wall crayons and sponges and- "Anakin, those are for Luke to toy with." Obi-Wan has a headache.

Obi-Wan is always so gentle with Luke. He soothes away tummy aches, bad dreams and aching growing pains. He ensures Luke has soft clothes and cute feety-PJs.

Anakin is the one to see when Luke takes his first steps. It's to him. On wobbly legs and sensitive feet. But by Gods, Luke walks to him with arms out and a smile on his face. Anakin cheers him on, hugging him close. "That's my boy!" He nuzzles close to his baby. He treasures this moment and thanks the Force R2 recorded the whole thing.

"Black." "White." "He will do well in black." "White is tradition." They fight over his training clothes even though Luke isn't old enough to even speak. It won't go unsolved until years later either when Luke decides that he'd like a rose gold uniform instead.

Dinner time isn't always hectic but it is when Luke tries to fed himself and gets it all over himself. It's also more of a pain to get Anakin to eat whatever vegetable Obi-Wan cooked than Luke. Luke is a human trash compactor and isn't picky at all. A trait Obi-Wan loves.

Anakin doesn't deny the romantic feelings he has towards his master. Of course he loved Padme with all his heart. She will forever be his wife, but Obi-Wan is his master. Neither are deeper than the other, but both are important and that's what he tells Obi-Wan. That's when he proposes. Obi-Wan thinks on it, asks for a bit of time to think. He needs it. But he looks down at the child in Anakin's arms slumbering peacefully. The baby they raised together to be healthy and strong. Obi-Wan agrees, because Luke needs him. Anakin needs him.

They marry in beautiful silence with Luke at their side. It's all they need.

Luke likes to hang out with Anakin in the garage and bang on stuff. Sometimes he's useful and Anakin uses his tiny hands to poke and prod at things that won't harm him. Luke takes this as a sign he's helping.

When Anakin is out hunting for food or patrolling, he stays in the house with Obi-Wan where Obi-Wan tells him stories of the ages past and the fallen order.

When Luke is grown into the man Obi-Wan and Anakin are proud to call their son and young Jedi, he's sent off to help with the Rebellion. Obi-Wan and Anakin help as much as they can with The Rebellion, helping to end what Anakin COULD HAVE made worse by joining the Dark side.

Luke loves his Father and Papa. Hopefully they'll like his new Mandalorian Boyfriend.

Anakin, Obi-Wan and Luke things that somehow just hit me now:

All three of the prequel trio die at the end of ROTS. Padme literally dies, Anakin dies to become Vader (one more casualty), and Obi-Wan dies and becomes Ben

Which means Ben's statement to Luke that "I haven't gone by the name of Obi-Wan since, oh, before you were born," is actually true--though Padme and Yoda called him Obi-Wan, he was a different man (and also technically it was a second before Luke was born soooo)

Anakin and Obi-Wan both are willing to let countless millions be killed because they can't bear the death of someone they love

And both of their responses are echoes of a previous trauma. Anakin's was failing to save--first Shmi, and then Padme--and he reacts with violent rage. He makes an active attempt to try to save them, and causes devastation by it.

Obi-Wan's, on the other hand, is an echo of a failure to stop. A failure to stop Anakin from succumbing to the dark side, to stop Anakin from lashing out in anger, a failure to stop Anakin from falling into Palpatine's hands. But Obi-Wan leaves to fight Grievous and, as the dark follows the removal of the light, Palpatine is there. Obi-Wan leaves what used to be Anakin on Mustafar, and like ash follows fire as it burns away what was, Sidious is there.

And all of these failures are because they love.

Obi-Wan returning to Tatooine with Anakin's son, watching him have the childhood Anakin should have had, and himself living much like young Anakin had--afraid and alone, trapped on the same desert planet, waiting to be found. He even has a new name. He's literally starting the story over.

AND THEN HE TRAINS LUKE.

And you can see him thinking "this time I will do it right. This time it will be different. This time, he will bring balance to the Force..."

Luke treats him almost like a grandfather, which is truer than he realizes

Ok but since I'm apparently on a New Hope kick now, somehow I never understood that Obi-Wan was mimicking a Krayt dragon call to scare off the Tuskens??? I thought they all just ran bc he was the "scary wizard man" but this makes so much more sense (also the Mandalorian references this! And the Kenobi book (which I think is technically Legends now) does as well)

OBI-WAN SAVES ANAKIN'S SON FROM THE TUSKENS...HE SAVES ANAKIN'S SON...FROM THE TUSKENS...protecting what Anakin could not...

"Hello there! Come here, my little friend. Don't be afraid! Oh, don't worry, he'll be alright." Obi-Wan talks to R2 like he's a living thing, with thoughts and feelings. He talks to him like Anakin did

Also the Force/Jedi/Luke's theme that plays as Obi-Wan says those things? Drawing parallels between him and Luke as Jedi and forces of good and also showing that they are connected somehow...which of course!! is through!!! Anakin!! So it plays when he speaks to ANAKIN'S DROID

"I don't seem to remember ever owning a droid" BECAUSE HE DIDN'T BECAUSE R2 WAS ANAKIN'S,,,, AND ANAKIN CALLED R2 HIS FRIEND AND SAID DROIDS WEREN'T PROPERTY AND NOW OBI-WAN SAYS THE SAME THING AHHHHHH,,, and the little smirk he shoots him afterwards!!! My heart

When Luke is explaining that R2 is what brought him out to the wastes Obi-Wan looks at him with so much suspicion like

Like does this face not scream "what in the world are you doing--why did you bring him here?? Don't mess this up, and don't you dare say anything...!"

And also didn't he literally bring R2 and C3P0 to Tatooine???????? Now R2's here like "listen here you old fart we both know you remember me, stop being coy, this is IMPORTANT" and C3P0 is as dramatic as ever and just look at how Obi-Wan looks at them both...he remembers so much

Also also how sweet is it that after all this time R2 and C3P0 are still together?? They're trailing threads of Anakin and Padme...so of course they're together when they're with Luke! Because he is both Anakin and Padme, so he's where they were both meant to be!!

Anyways yeah I could keep going and I know I've said some of these thoughts before but I kept thinking about it and it was literally like the Kronk "it's all coming together" meme so I had to share lol!
