when asked how he does it, his explanation is quite simple:

on the way back home, you also stop at a grocery store and a lingerie store, wanting to have something new for your loving husband to unwrap later.

time flies quickly, and before you know it, there's thirty minutes until jay comes home.

you take in your surroundings, giving them one last scan. you look at the giant '23' balloons you have floating around, the streamers, the flowers, the food. everything looks just how you imagined.

you spritz on one last squirt of pheromone perfume and wait on the couch for the sound of his keys.

a few minutes pass and you hear him approaching, causing you to stand up and smooth out your dress.

the door opens, and jay doesn't immediately notice everything, focused on taking his shoes off.

'baby... what's all this?' he says, looking around.

he leans back in the chair, stuffed with the meal you made for him. you swiftly grab his plate and yours, throwing them on the sink, making them tomorrows problem.

jay's mouth drops open before he dashes over there, picking up the instrument.

'it's a secret' you smile, parting from him, guilding him to sit on the bed. 'now wait here, i left something in the bathroom..' you say sneaking away. little did he know you had something planned.

you freshen yourself up in the bathroom and strip your dress off, revealing the black lingerie you hid under. you then hit play on your phone, cater 2 u by destiny's child blasting through the bluetooth speaker in your room.

you strut out the bathroom and make your way towards jay as the intro plays. just when this man thought you couldn't wow him more.

beyonce sings through the speaker as you sway your hips and roll your body to the music.

I totally know what you mean and the trick is to make it less vague. Here is how I approach this problem:

Get yourself some materials. They don't even have to cost money. Find some apps (I love busuu and mango), some textbook you like the look of (can be a pdf or charity shop find) and a notebook (can be virtual but I recommend paper)

Write down the reasons you want to learn French. These can be super broad or super specific. Write as many down as you want. This will help you keep motivated and will help during the next step

Identify what you actually want to achieve in French ie do you want to be able to read books? Talk to people? Travel to francophone countries? Do business in French? Watch movies? Understand music? Based on your answers you'll be able to adjust your planning and emphasize the skills that are most important for you. Ideally your skill set should be well rounded but it's way less overwhelming when you have some clear goals

Set aside a specific schedule for studying French. Every day for a couple of minutes? Every other day for an hour? Every Thursday for two hours? Whatever feels manageable. Ideally, this should be as regular and as much as possible. But that can be really overwhelming and unrealistic if you're busy. Try to find a good balance so that you can make regular progress and have time for revisions to not immediately forget everything

Slowly wade into the material. Most textbooks and online resources will focus first on things like the alphabet and pronunciation, greetings and introductions, numbers, the weather, time, directions, hobbies, food etc. Take it one step at a time

Try to use different resources in addition to apps or textbooks. For example it's difficult to learn grammar just from an app (especially since apps like Duolingo don't really teach grammar) and you'll probably want to have a textbook with exercises and solutions too. But apps are great for vocabulary building and revisions. Music, podcasts and films are great for listening comprehension and immersion. In the beginning you don't even have to understand anything and can totally use subtitles to get a feeling for the language. You can also try a graded reader for A1 after a bit.

It's really important to use the language as early as possible so try finding people to practice with, which can even be online, start writing posts on here even if they're just single sentences, talk to your pet or houseplant. This will also help you gain confidence before you reach out to your teacher.

Concept: Reader is an anonymous Youtuber who does English covers of various k-pop songs, including Stray Kids. Bangchan comes across one of these one night and falls in love with Reader's voice. They develop an online friendship, and Bangchan might be in love with more than just the voice.

Word Count: 962

Notes: I had a lot of fun narrating the video. I've seen it a lot in Idol novels that I read online, and it really is a fun and new perspective to use. The username may stay, it may change, i might get rid of it entirely idk. Kind of also contemplating using 'You' instead of 'person'. Idk we'll see how it goes as i work on it. Feedback would be much appreciated for this one. No editing notes rn, I'm not rlly feelin' it.

It was 2am on a random Tuesday in Seoul. Bangchan lay staring at his ceiling for the nth time that month, silently cursing at his insomnia. He rolls over for the thousandth time to stare at his wall instead. His eyes drift his phone on the nightstand, and he idly wonders if he should spend some time teasing STAY on Bubble.

It’d definitely relieve the soul-crushing boredom of being unable to sleep, but he doesn’t really feel like receiving their well-intentioned scolding over his sleep schedule right now. He rolls back onto his back and heaves a tired sigh.

With resignation, he sits up and grabs his phone. He’d like to avoid being scolded, but receiving STAY’s love is always comforting. Vlogs and edits it is, then.

He hops onto YouTube with deft fingers and begins his latest STAY-binge. The thought of STAY’s reactions when he reminds them that he watches their stuff brings a smile to his face. They always freak out so cutely.

Soon enough, he’s zoned out and mindlessly scrolling through, giggling along to memes and watching vlogs with all the affection in his heart.

He runs out of content from the accounts he regularly watches pretty quickly. He’s only killed about 30 minutes, and even though his mood has improved significantly, he doesn’t quite feel up to going back to staring at his ceiling yet.

With a light heart, he descends into the familiar uncharted territory of his recommended feed. He manages to kill another hour or so before a particular video catches his eye.

The thumbnail features someone with brightly colored hair slumped over a desk, their face smooshed against the wood and their arms dangling limply beside them. Their features are obscured by a fabric mask, but bright blue tear-tracks are drawn on over top.

Bangchan can’t help but be amused by the image. He could definitely relate to the frustrations of learning music production. He actually felt a bit flattered and flustered that this person was using his music to learn from.

Officially intrigued, Chan clicks on the video.

It opens with a shot of the person from the thumbnail from the back. They’re sat at the same desk, which Chan can now see hosts a towering hutch with full shelves decked out in flower-shaped fairy lights. He spots a large section of SKZ albums tucked between other albums and books on the hutch’s shelves.

There’s a microphone on the desk, the boom arm pushed to the side, and a bulky set of headphone’s on the figure’s head. Despite the microphone’s distance from the person at the desk Chan can hear the furious clicking of a mouse as clear as day.

This scene plays out for a moment before the clicking suddenly stops and the person freezes. They slowly remove their headphones and sigh loudly. A very crisp [“Fuck!”] Takes him by surprise and he can’t help a soft laugh as the video pauses and begins to rewind.

[“So turns out I’m a big ol’ dumb-dumb and I’ve been doing this wrong this entire time.”] A voiceover begins to explain. The rewind quickly covers what Bagchan assumes is hours of work, and the voice over continues, [“Well, not wrong, per say, but I was definitely doing it the hard way. Wrong Equation right answer sort of situation. I.”] The voice chuckles ashamedly, [“I could have done this whole thing in a third of the time. I’m so embarrassed. Let me show you.”]

The rewind stops and the video switches to a different angle. The camera is obviously sitting on the desk this time, looking at the person from the side. The angle is much closer. The person waves awkwardly at the camera with both hands and rotates their chair to face it properly.

[“Hi all, I’m Grimm’sTeddy and this is episode 4 of me failing to learn how to produce music. We’re onto week 6 now, because I was quite seriously fighting with this program the entire time.”] A caption appears on the screen, [Shoulda watched more tutorials, buddy].

The video continues along the same vein for a while, a mix of Grimm talking and explaining their process while being unknowingly roasted by the occasional caption when they do something wrong. The video mostly shows the screen they’re working from, only switching back to the vlog-style camera when Grimm is being particularly dramatic about their struggles.

Around the 10 minute mark, Grimm discovers the feature of the program that triggered the reaction from the first clip. There’s a bit of grumbling and self-deprecating jokes, and then the video’s pace speeds up by quite a lot. Apparently the process is a lot less entertaining when it’s going smoothly.

Finally, 12 minutes in, the full cover is revealed.

Bangchan is, quite honestly, entranced.

There’s something almost desperate in the tone Grimm sings with, something raw and hurting. The cover is incredibly faithful to the original. They’d changed some words to preserve the melody across languages but were clever enough with it to preserve the meaning.

Bangchan finds himself impressed. Sure there are mistakes, and a lot of polish is missing, but the voice sticks in his head like glue. He goes to the channel’s page to find the first video in the series almost without thinking about it.

It turns out the video he’d watched was from several months ago, just after they’d released the song initially. There were only 2 videos after it, the series seemingly ending at episode 6.

Chan ends up watching the other 5 videos that night. He falls asleep with his phone on his chest at 5am, after making sure to leave a comment on each video.

After an especially stressful and exhausting expedition, you and Percy agreed to stay back while the others drink in celebration. His pale fingers dig into your hips, gritting his teeth as you pull the last of his energy from his body. His warm touch travels up your body, grabbing a handful of your breasts with his large hands. He chuckled, his hands move to your shoulders, pushing you up so he can get a better look at your naked form on top of him. His left hand rests on your hip, his thumb tracing small circles. His right hand caresses your warm cheek, squeezing slightly as you smile at him lazily. "I missed this time with you, my darling." His voice was deep, filled with adoration.

You smile wider this time, your hands holding onto both of his wrists. Slowly, you drag your fingers down to his shoulders. You squeeze lightly, your thumbs stroke at his collarbones, tracing small scars and a recent scratch from your recent endeavor.

A mischievous smile is stuck on your lips as you lift your hips. His length falls out of you, falling back onto his happy trail. You grin, feeling more of his spend dripping from your cunt as you move yourself down and shift off the bed. He attempts to get up but you push him down.

     "I'll clean us up today." You whisper, kissing his forehead. He hums in response with a dazed smile.

     You clean yourself up, coming back with a wash cloth to clean him up. He lays back flat, still breathing heavily in his postcoital state. A small sigh of pleasure slips from his swollen lips, an arm lazily thrown over his eyes. You smile, cleaning him up before tossing the cloth in the hamper. You pick up his shirt, slipping it over your frame and buttoning the middle two buttons.

    Slowly, you slide back into his bed, hands working themselves up and down his torso. Your thumbs massage through the muscles on his stomach, leaving small, loving kisses at his collarbones. The arm draped over his eyes moves to your cheek to caress it softly. He looks down at you with half-lidded eyes as his thumb grazes your cheekbone. Adoration and affection fill his gaze as he stares at you, straddling him once again.

He winces slightly as your thumb pushes down into a spot on his shoulder that was giving him trouble. You rub it out slowly, feeling the knot loosen as he grunts. "That feel good?" You ask softly, a small giggle filling the room.

He smiles back, a deep chuckle rumbling from his chest. "Yes, much better."

Your eyes flicker back up to him. You cant help but admire him in this state. Completely blissed out and deeply in love. Finally allowing himself to be fragile, to be soft. You've completely cracked his shell, spreading him open into the rawest form of himself. Getting to know every curve and line on his muscular body. It took a long time to get here with him. Spending endless days and countless nights by his side. With each passing hour he becomes more open and vulnerable to you. After Whitestone, he had promised to be more honest. Not just with the group, but with you.

You'd lay together with his head on your chest, your fingers brushing through his soft hair. He'd tell you every little detail. Whether it was about a specific dinner with his family or the torturous actions of Anna Ripley. The woman he had yet to escape from. His nightmares about the torture come and go, but he has you now. To hold him while he breaks, whisper to him that he's safe and that you'd never let anything happen to him. That the group would never let anything to happen to him. That he's loved and cherished, even when he's acting like a pretentious ass.

But now, it was different. He was vulnerable to you in a completely different manner. Not shielding you from the scars and stories that litter his pale skin. The jagged lines and the imperfections that you worship on nights like these. They are all open for you to kiss, to love, to hold. He was open to showing you his love in its rawest form. Open to admiring each other and tracing shapes and confessions onto each others skin.

So you sigh in contentment, moving to lay down next to him. Your head falls to his shoulders, your body pressed against him as he lays on his back. One of your legs lift on top of his hips as you feel him pull you closer. His arm is around you, lazily drawing circles on your side. Your warm hand rests on bare chest as you both lay in silence. Breathing in each others presence in the calming candlelight that illuminates his bedroom.

Your pointer finger lifts, touching the start of the long scar that runs in a diagonal curve across his chest. The soft pad of your fingers presses down as it drags down his pecs and over a protruding rib. A sigh leaves his lips, his free hand moving from his stomach to brush strands of your hair out of your face. "You seem to like that one." He says softly.

You stay silent for a moment, kissing where it starts at his shoulders. His hand falls to your shoulder while his other arm pulls you tighter. "You're so strong." You say lightly.

    "Not nearly as strong as you, my love." His voice is light and sweet. Coated with sleep.

      You just chuckle, propping yourself up on your elbow. Your free hand holds onto his side while you bend down to press soft, calculating kisses down the deep scar. A deep sigh of pleasure is heard as your kisses get longer and heavier.

“Don’t start again, I have no energy.” He grumbles playfully as you kiss down to the very edge of the scar.

“Sorry,” you says sheepishly, falling back into your spot next to him.

He brushes your hair off your face and gives you a tired smile. “Don’t worry. I like it.” His voice is softer than usual, filled with adoration.

Your head is back on his chest, focusing on the rise and fall with each breath. His heartbeat slows down as each minute passes. “‘M tired,” you say as your cheek is pressed against his chest.

He pulls you closer, brushing your hair back and resting that hand on your shoulder. A small kiss is pressed on the crown of your head. “Go to sleep,” he says. He presses a long kiss in the same spot before whispering your name. “I love you.”

“I love you more.”

The Magic Behind ÆØÅ

Hei alle sammen! (Hi, everyone!)

If you live in Norway or read anything in Norwegian, then you've probably noticed that we have a few extra funny little vowels. The Norwegian alphabet is actually 10% larger than the English one, and we owe it all to our fantastic friends: ÆØÅ. These three unique characters add that extra Nordic flair to our written language, making it stand out from the rest.

Now, time for a quick history lesson!

Did you know that runes are the oldest alphabet used in Norway? The Vikings were the ones who first dabbled in these magical signs, which most people couldn't read. They believed that Odin himself brought the runes to humanity, and only the powerful, like kings, nobles, and magicians, could decipher them.

Fast forward to the 9th century, and Christianity made its way to Norway. Runes were eventually replaced by Latin, and that's how the Danish-Norwegian alphabet was born. In this fascinating merge of old and new, we introduced the fantastic trio: ÆØÅ.

Æ was the first to join the party, already a part of the Latin alphabet (remember "cæsar"?). In true Viking fashion, we loved it and decided to keep it for ourselves.

Next up, Ø came into play. Some believe it originates from Old English, and the earliest traces can be found in Danish handwriting around the 12th century.

Lastly, Å made its grand entrance. While a similar sound had been used since the early Viking age, it wasn't officially seen in writing until the 16th century.

and your ability to fully write in the pov of the character that you've crafted is nutty. like on the outside, it seems like a simple thing to do, but ik from experience that it's really not. like the way you perfectly represented oc's bleakness in the beginning through the word choices, that only shifts when taehyung is being discussed, is a1 storytelling. and same with him, like even when things are falling apart, the metaphor compares oc to a star, n that's how he sees her despite the circumstances. The aroma of coffee always greets you in the morning and it’s become hella comforting since you’ve just come to associate that smell with him.

His bed head is 1000x more extreme in the morning which you tease him relentlessly for and def has bags under his eyes but it looks cute.

sleep deprivation but make it chic.

He is much more of a night owl i’m making it canon idc - however usually has to sleep early due to club activities starting first thing in the morning.

He wakes up especially early because he knows he not only has to haul himself up at an ungodly hour but Kenma as well since he NEVER gets up on time otherwise.

Kenma lives a few blocks down from you guys and you often kick it as a three.

Sometimes he stays over just to save the extra effort of Kuroo going to his place.

It’s always v chill with the three of you as you get on really well and just play mario kart till 2am.

which again, big mistake. They end up nearly being late to practise so it’s kinda counter productive lmao

worth it though.

Kuroo is a salty loser js and will definitely wave his arms in front of you or shove his ass in your face to block the screen so he can overtake you.

Sometimes forces you to go on early morning runs with him but it’s actually really nice since you watch the sunrise together while sitting for a water break in an empty field

Almost poetic if it wasn’t for the constant teasing and bickering like an old married couple.

Kenma is VERY thankful you have become his new victim for those morning run routines.

Actually pretty quiet in the morning?? Like the lil owl is just waking up so he usually just mumbles a good-morning and rubs his eyes its so damn cute

Usually pretty good about getting up on time but some days he needs a kick up the backside to get him out of bed.

He fully made you drag him out of the covers once before he was even willing to entertain the idea of getting up.

those 30 seconds felt like a 30 minute workout since he is so HEAVY.

Pancakes is the only thing Bokuto is competent at so don’t expect anything else without the kitchen combusting

His pancakes are SO damn good tho like bitch who taught you to flip like dat.

One time the pancake landed on the floor and he was in emo mode for a whole day LMAOOO

Akaashi was so confused as to why he walked into practise in such a solemn mood.

had to stifle his laughter once you told him the reason.

For some reason you have this tradition to play board games on a Friday night

Obvs you have to let him win and be a cocky ass bc otherwise he will be sad until the next morning.

sis will be in a slump while brushing his teeth over losing a game of monopoly.

Doesn’t expect you to come to practise with him but is always grinning like a dork the whole way there when you accompany him.

His game is always A1 on those days so Akaashi is eternally grateful.

Often tries to make you go to the gym with him SINCE Y’ALL BEST BELIEVE BOKUTO BABY AIN’T SKIPPIN LEG DAY.

Actually a really good workout partner though, he’s so hype and encouraging.

Grocery shopping is a nightmare, y’all come back with 3x as much as what was on the list while Bokuto just looks really sheepish and guilty like a dog who shredded up the sofa.

Kageyama:

Your conversations are very minimal at first until he adjusts to living with you.

Hella private with his living space and his bedroom

You always suspected he’s got some like weird alien cult meeting from Fiji going on in there with how shady he acts sometimes.

After a while though he’s pretty chill and doesn’t mind TOO much when you invade his personal space or go through his stuff.

I’d still be careful though an angry Kags is not a pleasant one.

He’s a minimalist, so if you ever get decorating done it’s usually you that takes the reigns since as long as it’s got a roof, a stove, a bathroom and a bed he could literally not give a fuck.

Unexpectedly easy to please over the smallest things, make a meal for him after a long day of practise and it’ll be hard for him to contain an appreciative smile.

Do NOT pull him up on it though bc he will get defensive 

just embrace it bro you won’t see it often.

V good at getting up on time and hella quiet in the morning when going about his routine, it’s easy to forget he’s in the house a times so at least he’s considerate.

Honestly doesn’t care whether you come to practise or not it makes no difference to him. Though the closer you both get he will sometimes wait for the moment you walk through the door and mentally slap himself for doing so.

Sometimes plays music in his room but it’s always really quiet and hard to decipher unless you press your ear up against the door.

The boi plays some BOPS though which is really surprising???

Usually takes charge of stuff like grocery shopping, cleaning etc. 

Control freak™️ here to assist your household services. 

He’s pretty dense though with these matters and needs some guidance at times lmao

Will not get the item on your list unless you CLEARLY SPECIFY AND INCLUDE THE WHOLE DAMN TITLE OF THE ITEM

In the end you sometimes end up caving and just either going with him or going in his place.

Once he warms up to you y’all like cracking little jokes at each other and pulling one another’s leg.

if you get up even the slightest bit late he’ll just throw a lil “good afternoon” with a smirk on his face.

Sometimes he will come and chill with you on the couch to binge watch shows and it’s just a really relaxed atmosphere.

Honestly just a hella respectful roommate as long as you respect him and his privacy in return.

You once stuck his knee-pads in the washing machine on a high temp and they came out ready to fit a 6 year old.

You still suspect he holds a grudge to this day.

He also tried to give them to Hinata and never have you seen him more genuinely offended lmao.

Kenma:

The pair of you always end up oversleeping and it’s a genuine problem ur the definition of a disaster duo.

If it wasn’t for Kuroo strolling into your sleeping quarters most mornings you guys would sleep till the suns ready to set again.

Constant video game marathons and y’all always compete to top each others time

It’s basically just the speed-run side of YouTube but under one roof.

Cannot and will not cook he is too LAZY for that.

Only thing he will do is stick an apple pie in the oven.

He’s courteous though he leaves you like,,, a 1/8th slice

smh.

You mostly get take-out or you’re the one that ends up cooking.

Veeryyyyy quiet, only noise in the household is the occasional snicker or lil conversation.

The only time it’s remotely loud is when you play video games but even then the volume is quite low.

You usually end up crashing in his room from playing games till the crack of dawn and Kuroo frequently scolds the two of you.

For some reason you both end up in a hugging position when you wake up and neither of you have addressed it.

Except for the sus side eye look Kuroo gives the pair of you when he finds you like this.

He knows if he mentions it you’ll both infiltrate his apartment and choke him out with a console cable lololol.

You order most of your groceries online bc Kenma’s social anxiety will skyrocket and not allow him to be in a store full of more than 10 people, poor bby.

It works out for you too since why tf go there when you can have it delivered to your door.

You often binge watch anime together and he has GREAT taste mind you.

You made him watch a romance anime once and he secretly enjoyed it.

Since then he will very awkwardly request to watch them occasionally and you can’t help but smile.

The only time you clean is when you have to, like bins brimming with trash before you decide to take them out.

You accidentally broke his fav controller once and he didn’t talk to you for a week LMAO.

Still handed you one to play split-screen though so you knew he wasn’t entirely resentful.

I’ll insert my ‘how i learn german’ series from Instagram, these are all the things i do to learn german, I hope this can be helpful to you and others as well!!

1/3 - some ways i like to incorporate german in my life outside of studying from a book:

- listening to music ofc.: AnnenMayKantereit, Faber, JEREMIAS & Bilderbuch are my favorite artists

- watching movies/tv shows with german dubs and English subs or vice versa, right now i am watching Dark on Netflix

- listening to random conversations on yt that are meant for beginners

- watching random videos from the 'easy german' yt channel, they make very fun interviews with strangers and ALL OF THEIR VIDEOS HAVE SUBTITLES IN ENGLIIISHHH hoow coool

2/3 - in this part i'll list some things i do as part of my active learning process.

[active learning def: Active learning is any learning activity in which the student participates or interacts with the learning process, as opposed to passively taking in the information]

i do wan't to add, that these are things that I do, and work for ME personally. we all learn differently, and this shows up even better when it comes to learning a language. that's it, now los geht's! - i have the Optimal A1 textbook + workbooks that come with it [Intensivetrainer + Arbeitsbuch]. I like to take the textbook chapter by chapter & solve the exercises in the workbooks. When finished I always check the solutions at the back & i try to find an explanation of why i did something wrong.

- while going through the chapter i underline, highlight etc. the words that i don't understand, or are new to me. I use various online translators for this, most of them are Hungarian translators (topszotar.hu for eg.) but there is one that i highly recommend: https://context.reverso.net/ This page uses each word in a sentence and you can see the various forms in which it is used.

- i like to create flashcard sets for each chapter/topic on Quizlet.com and go through these until i know every word. I like to star the words that are more difficult to learn and i can revise those separately.

- i guess translating music can go to this list as well: i like to find translations of german music and learn the meaning of the lyrics so when i listen to the song i know what i am singing/hearing. I learned soo many new phrases/words this way.

- i keep a separate notebook to write 1 sentence every day in german about my day. This way i search up words that i would normally use in everyday life, i can learn common expressions, etc. I think this proved to be the most useful part of my studying process so far. I would highly recommend it.
