Aaron is excited and has one of his cute little grins on his face when he arrives home after work and he scopes you out, finding you wrapped up in a cosy blanket on the couch. He has a soft smile on his face when he sees you and he makes himself known by softly calling your name.

“I’m home now, sweetheart. You look so cute wrapped up like that.” He says with a grin, crossing the room so he can reach you.

He settles down beside you and you shift to face him, beaming at him from within your slowly unraveling blanket cocoon. You meet in the middle to share a loving kiss, then he pulls back and fumbles inside the inner pocket of his jacket.

“I got you something.”

You shift and tilt your head curiously at him as he pulls out a square shaped black box, recognisable as a bracelet box, with a black velvet ribbon tied around it, and he presents it to you, the excitement in his eyes palpable. You take it and thank him with a soft kiss to his cheek that makes him hum, and you shift your focus to the gift. Carefully, you untie the beautiful bow and lay the ribbon on your concealed knee; now able to lift the lid up off the box to reveal the gift within.

A little gasp escapes you as you admire the bracelet. It’s engraved on the band with the words I love every inch of you and you press your lips together tightly to refrain from letting them curl into a tearful grimace. Your eyes flick back over to Aaron and you press a passioned kiss to his lips, murmuring against them how much you love it. He chuckles softly and nuzzles his nose against yours, his hands coming to cup your cheeks.

“It’s true, I love every inch of you. You’re the most beautiful person I’ve ever known.” You hear, and it causes you to giggle and press another kiss to his lips.

Eventually, you pull back and return your attention to the bracelet and you work on pulling it out of the box so you can put it on your wrist. But as you set the box down and take a moment to admire the bracelet some more now that it’s in your hands, you notice there’s something else engraved on the inside of it. You gasp.

You let out a giggle, only intensifying when you realise Aaron’s brows are furrowed in confusion. Wait- did he not know?

“What’s wrong?” He asks and you let him take hold of the bracelet to inspect it. It’s wonderful to watch the way his facial expression morphs from confusion to mortification when he spots the other bit of text engraved on the inside of the band. “Oh. I- uh…”

You watch as the tips of his ears flush just as much as his cheeks do and you giggle again, earning a playful glare.

“I did not know that was there.” He finally manages to say and you reach forward to cup his cheeks, still grinning, and you reassure him it’s more than okay. Not to mention, it’s technically true.

At that he finally cracks a smile and carefully takes hold of your hands so he can slip the bracelet onto your wrist. But he doesn’t let go, rather he pulls you onto his lap and grasps your plush hips firmly with his big hands. As a result, the blanket falls from your body and pools on the ground and he smirks when he finds you wearing a mere tee shirt and some underwear.

“Mhm, I’ll show you just how much I love the way you take every inch of me, baby.”

Lord Hater was the greatest villain in the galaxy thanks to how well he and Commander Peepers worked as an evil team to run the Hater Empire!

Lord Hater conquers planets and is such an edgy bastard. Peepers is the actual brains behind the operation. Peepers is often pushed aside by Hater, they are besties and yet Peepers is always pining for this guy who will never notice. Peepers is so horribly gay for him if you watch the show he wants his stupid boss so bad. Peepers is so scared of him season 1 but then starts yelling BACK in season 2 and has to deal with him like a babysitter or something and yet STILL idolizes him and that’s just such a fun dynamic. His password is H8RNP33PRS43VR (Hater and Peepers forever). They are so evil and everyone fears them and they are villains and they are gay and the side of the fandom that draws them as a married couple that needs counseling is absolutely correct. They are in a poly and are so morally gray and I love em. The triangle really is the strongest shape

They're gay because they're all bi (literally in Shimin and Yizhi's cases, kinda more implied for Zetian). Zetian and Shimin tortured a man for information (and also because he tortured them first) while Yizhi cooked back in their apartment. They made a plan to destroy their government and take over instead. Yizhi killed his dad because he was talking shit about Zetian and trying to sway his trust in her (it didn't work lmao). Instead of a love triangle (it REALLY seemed like that was what it was heading towards) they all love each other and would (and have) committed atrocities for each other. There's a whole thing about how they're stronger together (like, metaphorically and on the battlefield (Shimin and Zetian pilot a giant mecha together and Yizhi balances them))

They're a canon polyship who are all a bit deranged and down to kill for their goals and/or to protect bae. Two have tortured a man to death together and came home to the third making celebratory cookies for them.

Can you ramble about Ellis ggy?

Okay, okay, where to start, I think there’s like, a lot to go over so I’m gonna try to start from the beginning. This is gonna be a long post so strap in folks. (and ignore my discord nickname, it's an inside joke)

The Descent into Madness

Back in January/February of this year I decided to pick up writing as a hobby, I started off with little blurbs of a potential SB rewrite I had cooking up (and still cooking up today), however that’s not relevant to Ellis, so I’m skipping to the fic he’s actually include in. So, on February 4th I drew this as a joke, but then I wanted to expand on it and make it a fic.

(You can tell this is old by how light Ellis is and comparing him to my current design LMAO) (and the "like the show?" is supposed to be a reference to transformers)

That being said, that fic wasn’t even entirely focused on him, the basic premise was Greg came out to Ellis as nonbinary and Ellis would go “like the code??? XDDDD!!!!”, isn't he so quirky and not like other girls?? /j

Okay anyways, the thing was, I don’t think I got that far into reading GGY because most of it SUCKED and was really out of character. I didn’t even used the names “Rab” or “Boots” which actually annoys me so bad I don’t even wanna look at it. Sorry to the Instagram followers who wanted to see it, it’s in the garbage now and I hate it, but that’s completely okay! It was a learning experience for me, which lead me to my next fic that I am. Technically. Still. Working on.

I think this was the moment I realized I grew to be in love with Ellis’s “character”, in quotation marks because he’s not really a character y’know. This is also when I found a way to read GGY properly, so that means I’d have my fic more accurate. I actually documented my reading on my instagram (same username) if you’re interested, though it’s kind of corny looking back on it, definitely exaggerated some of my opinions on it.

If you follow my Instagram, you can see in a story I revealed that I currently find the fic really unfun to work on, and that I enjoyed working on a different one. Let me just explain, I believe that the fic is like, angst with no merit, someone might enjoy reading something like that but I don’t like writing it personally. Right now, I’m in the process of replanning, which is why I’d like to thank our today’s sponsor, Milanote!!!1! Kidding, but Milanote has genuinely made things easier for me it’s kind of insane. Obviously I’m going to keep some aspects in the fic (not spoiling though ^_^) but I hope to make it fun for me to work on again this time around.

Ellis has a minor role in the short story ‘GGY.’ He is described as being impatient nearly all of the time, bouncing on his heels when he is. He often jokes around with his friend Tony, purposely calling him Tinkerbell instead of the pseudonym Tarbell, and telling him that he thinks too much. He immediately brushes off the writing assignment in Mrs. Soto’s class, saying that the story is due in two weeks and they’ve got plenty of time.

His dad insists that Sundays are for family time. He considers Tony’s real life investigations lame, making a dramatic snoring sound effect when Tony tells him he was people watching. At the end of GGY, Ellis ends up changing Tony’s story completely, albeit probably because of manipulation from Greg/GGY himself, he also compliments the changes they made by saying “it gets better.” (It doesn’t get better they’re probably going to get an F 🫶)

Ellis Fan Design(s)

In this section I’m just going to be rambling about Ellis fan designs, not naming any names though because it’s not really a specific design, just specific design aspects. Soo my first thing is: please stop making him grey/ashy or hell, incredibly light😢😢😢 it reminds me of when I was like 11 and all of my black characters were borderline grey. My second thing is that I’ve seen a handful of designs where he just. Doesn’t have curly hair. It annoys me sooo bad like guys please 😕😕 umm another thing is when people don’t give his square jaw, like maybe they do but it’s just really subtle??? Idk!!!

Anyways my Ellis design went through many changes actually, but one thing that remained consistent was the long hair with the. Brown?? Idk how to describe it lmao. Here are some sketches from old sketchbooks!! There are some more but those are kind of spoiler territory for my fic so >_>,, gotta wait another 8 months for those! /j

Way before these sketches were even created, I had an idea on how Ellis would dress, it's um. It's definitely a fashion statement...!

These were the drawings that had the designs I wanted to stick with, and have stuck with to this day! I took the idea that he would be a Monty fan and ran with it, for the jacket you can actually see it in the "im nonbinary" "like the code???" doodle I did, however looking back the short sleeved jacket and the long sleeved was kind of ugly.. In one of the doodles above, I drew him with ripped jeans, while they're quite fun they wouldn't really fit with the design I have now (and also I can't fit the rips on the current jeans anywhere)

I think this is self explanatory, after Tony's mom lost her only son a natural instinct is to cry her eyes out. For the "Mama's lying" part I'm just going to bullshit an answer that's relevant to the fic I'm writing. Sooo, in the context that is Ellis being like, y'know, sad, his mom would obviously try to comfort him, and since I hc that he blames himself somewhat, she'd try to tell him it isn't his fault and such, however Ellis doesn't believe that, which is where the "lying" part comes in. For the last two parts, Tony's parents actively tried to change what Tony wrote stories about, aka kind of changing his whole shtick idk.

Another theme in my fic is that Ellis reminisces, A LOT. Like first few paragraphs he's like "I miss my friends bro what the fuck!!!!!!!!11"

In this little animatic idea in my head, this is the part where Ellis and Gregory reunite and Ellis comes to the realization he killed Tony, "The end?" represents them cutting ties with each other, because there's no way their relationship can be healthy anymore. OR IS THERE?? DUN DUN DUNNNNN....

After Tony gets really pissed with Ellis, Ellis didn't realize what was wrong until later, in which he'd want to apologize and change Tony's mind about not wanting him to work on any writing assignment with him anymore. However he had done too much damage he can't undo, and also Tony is dead but SHHHH SHHHH

Ellis, being the comedic type in my hc (and many other's I think), would use humor to cover up his feelings by using humor as a coping mechanism y'know? "Boys don't cry" was/still is quite the common mindset, assuming Ellis would believe in said mindset, he's given another reason to not cry. Sorry that's probably a reach HELP.

I'm pretty sure Ellis would do anything to get Tony back, your honor that was his BEST BUDDY. The last two lines are obvious because Tony is like, dead,,,,, anyways skipping the next section because I'd just repeat myself

In GGY, Tony brings up that Ellis is very immature and feels as if he is outgrowing him, Ellis changing up his story is what broke the camels back, which is where "misjudged your limits/pushed you too far/took you for granted" comes in, Ellis, thinking Tony thought of him as someone he couldn't lose, so it'd hurt when Tony seemed to drop him just like that (ok well to him it seems unexpected but y'know, Tony's "im not like other girls" inner monologues. (kidding))

For the first two lines, I immediately think of @kai-rio 's (sorry for the @ lmk if you want to be removed but also you're really normal about Ellis like me so) Ellis fic, you can read it right here, um, in the briefest summary I can give of the first part, Ellis goes "omg I need to find Tony !!!!! >_<" and like plans. to go to that. like he gets geared up /j. I'd make a joke about the ending but that'd be SPOILERS.... anyways refer to what I said before for the other lines.

Funny fact, in one of my ideas for the Ellis fic rework, I have a point that says "mention Ellis constantly feeling sick", not in the literal sense obviously, but it ties in with this lyric methinks.

Guys would you be shocked if I said that I interpret this as Ellis wanting to be left alone??!????!???!?! "I wanna go home now" makes me think of this scene in my fic where Ellis remembers Tony's funeral (you can't spell funeral without fun btw! /j) and wanting to leave like 30 minutes in because he felt so overwhelmed

This would be Ellis to Greg, as Tony's death technically wasn't his fault, but he has to repeat it in his head like a mantra because Greg and GGY shared the same face and it's hard to separate the two from one another. Shaking for seemingly no reason is a symptom of anxiety, and if you checked Ellis's art fight page that I really need to revamp, it's stated he has that so!!! yay!!!!!!!!!!

I think I’m like the only person who ships this now,,,,, Ummmm I just wanna say I don’t really take this shipping thing too seriously because they’re just middle school kids and they’re bound to be silly/awkward. Obviously they do have potential to be really angsty like “oh my god you killed my best friend why do I still love you? Is it because I’m still in love with the person you pretended to be?” Or something idk it’s dumb I like to focus on the sillier things like passing notes in class, trash talking teachers they don’t like, and sharing snacks with each other or whatever.

Absolutely unrelated but can we NOT use the term "yaoi" to describe the relationship between two middle schoolers like, i'm sorry that's just hella weird. Sorry if this is flipline addictspilled flipline addictsmaxxing /inside joke but it's like saying "middle school boy yaoi" like is that NOT weird to you? Also I've seen some really iffy ship art and whenever I come across it I just think to myself: "bro aren't they like twelve???" And I’ve seen no one acknowledge it in the tags of the art, and I’ve brought it up to a friend who is an outsider to the GGY community and they thought the same thing too. Look. Maybe I’m just aroace and believe that romance shouldn’t all be about kissing and shit but someone here has got to agree right 😕

Anyways back to Grellis!!! When I first saw them, I thought their alternative ship name, “Grel”, was “Gel”, and I thought that was the funnier shit ever. You might be asking why I ship them and it’s because like, they’re seen interacting with each other for most of the story, and I don’t have to rely on post-canon “what-ifs” to get their relationship to work.

also they play roblox together and watch the mlp eq movies but at the same time they head bang to death metal. Uhh I'm not gonna write about how I think these songs are so them(tm) but two songs I associate with them are Romantic Lover by Eyedress, and Door by iDKHOW. Also my friend @rippcharddrive drew them for an art fight attack and it was the best day of my life

Now you might remember when I said that I hc Ellis to be born on April 5th and use he/she pronouns and that we'll come back to that later. The reason is Papa Louie, okay well, NuTimm (Timm x NuMarcus) specifically, but Papa Louie in general. But before we get into it, I edited Ellis in the Flipline Style once ^_^

Ok so really short origin story of NuTimm is that it started off as a joke and two of my friends role played them breaking up, but Niall (rippcharddrive) started getting attached to it. Sooner or later he added them to his tomodachi life island and on March 31st 2024, they got together!!! and got married in under and hour of doing so!!! Now, how does this relate to Ellis? well on April 3rd, Timm got knocked up bro /JJJ

Niall didn't know what to name the baby so I jokingly suggested the name Ellis and everyone else liked it so the baby was going to be named Ellis!!

And on April 5th (I think you can understand why that's his birthday now), she was born!!! And everyone in du2 thought she was ugly </3

To make a long story short they ended up having like 7 more kids I think I forgot, and many more grandkids. Then one day I decided to get Tomodachi Life myself (with the help of Niall), made my own island and added fnaf Ellis and NuTimm Ellis to it, long story short they fell in love and eventually got married and became the gayest straight couple (/j). NuMarcus, wanting to give Ellis a head start in parenting, made 2 NuBaby's, each of which have incredibly long and stupid names because Ellis wanted to piss him off.

BUT THEN... THE PLOT THICKENS. On Nialls island, Gregory and NuTimm Ellis fell in love and also got married, thus forming the most confusing love triangle of all time. IM RUNNING OUT OF IMAGES BUT here is when I started using he/she for Ellis

PERLESVAUS HANDS DOWN. EVERYONE PLEASEEEE READ PERLESVAUS ITS SO GOOD. it's something i've been eyeing for ages now but i was finally able to read it thanks to nigel bryant's translation! (the one i vastly prefer imo + his translations are just great in general)

admittedly, it's a bit of a hefty read because it's loaded and filled to the brim with religious undertones and references (similar to vulgate except i think vulgate is easier to parse if you don't have a catholic background considering anonymous monk pretty much explains what so-and-so means to you lol) but it's so worth it. percival is the titular knight in this yes and it follows events that take place after he failed the grail question, so the land is in havoc and basically fucked thanks to his mistakes. there's actually 4 main POV's in it. other than percival, it follows arthur (who goes on his own series of quests) gawain, and then lancelot. i'm in awe of perlesvaus just of the amount of sheer depth and characterization they have for these 4 characters. plus it's got a lot of badass crazy moments. pretty much everything percival does is worthy enough of its own post

like percival fighting the dragon knight, dindrane getting kidnapped and percival literally venturing off to find her captive, beheading him, then PRESENTING it to her.

lancelot going through the beheading game (tbh everything he does in this drives me insane. its also just my favorite lancelot in general imo like more than vulgate lancelot) + gawain finding the sword that beheaded john the baptist. it's also got some crazy horror fuel that i would love to make art of one day just because of how much i want to see it visualized, like lancelot finding that one house full of corpses and the pit. i mean THE PIT.

Here’s a set of characters I created a few years ago for a small kingdom I made!

It’s a coastal kingdom which is famous for its large colosseum!

King Carrion

He/They

Seventh in line for the throne, Carrion was a mistreated, sickly prince (so much so that his family literally named him something that means carcass 💀). Looked down upon constantly, this guy wasn’t really guaranteed any future of any kind.

When a pandemic swept through his kingdom, however, he found himself as the only survivor due to living in a separate place (due to being ostracized) which saved his life. Now finding himself as the ruler of his small nation, he tries his best to keep his kingdom afloat despite being very unqualified for the task…

His face (along with parts of his body) is disfigured from abuse and mistreatment. He hides it behind a mask/prosthetic.

He’s incredibly shy and self-deprecating, but he is trying his best for his people.

Tries to keep up airs of a “competent and mysterious” ruler, but he’s really having a panic attack on the inside lol

Collected his guards with the help of Nexus. Honestly is like one of those dads that gets bullied by his kids

Nexus (guy with large star blast on his face)

He/Him

A skeleton of unknown origin. He applied to be a knight at an early age and worked his way up to be King Carrion’s personal guard. A extremely skilled and capable knight despite his origins and disability.

His right arm is actually missing! He doesn’t talk about how he lost it often.

A super chill guy, almost like nothing bugs him at all.

He doesn’t tend to have any presence whenever in a room full of people, and kind of doesn’t speak much unless spoken to.

Married his war buddy for tax benefits

Genuinely cares for Carrion despite everything the king has been through. Very loyal to him.

Neutral towards the other guards, but likes to mess with Soup a little lmao

He/They

A descendant of a sub species of skeletons that originate in one of the most unloveable, hostile places on the continent. Built to survive and adapt, these people were referred to as “the warrior tribes”, known for their immense strength, keen instincts, and violent behavior.

Works as one of King Carrion’s Guard, has a special role as a “Royal Executioner”

Part-Time works at the colosseum as a gladiator (although he dresses closer to a show pony 💀)

Currently in a situationship /lh

Annoyed with Nexus but he’s his superior sooooooo

Trains Caviar but also just likes fighting them lol

She/They/It

A young sea beast that has the capability to shape shift into a massive leviathan, known for causing typhoons and sinking countless of ships.

Works as one of King Carrion’s guard, usually works as a speedy alternative to sea travel.

Was mistaken as a merfolk by an underground business and was taken from her mother. She later bonded with a few other kidnapped children at their facility located in the middle of the ocean. She ended up single-handedly destroying half of the compound, and escaping with most of the other children to the nearest kingdom (which happened to be Carrion’s kingdom).

Loves to swim around and eat lots of fish, as well as caviar (lmao)

when i say he’s naturally a loud person i mean it. of course, he still has your best interests at heart during his more chaotic moments. given his somewhat intimidating exterior, it was a little surprising to learn that he was a hero after all. if anything, he’s the anti-hero the group needs to ensure some unruly people are put in their place with his deep and intimidating voice. yet behind closed doors, he’s such a sweetheart! always sharing his food with you and gladly sitting down with you just to chat on the longer work days. being a hero isn’t just beating up bad guys after all! there’s also a decent amount of celebrity work that goes into it, so please allow him to take time out of his schedule to love and pay attention to you, because nothing could make him happier.

AKAGI WEN ->

unlike ittetsu, he doesn’t wait until he’s behind closed doors to be a total sweetheart to his beloved partner. he’s always cooking meals for you, and he’ll be absolutely over the moon if you offer to help. if you’re okay with your relationship with this cheery hero, he will talk about you constantly in interviews and such! wen just wants the whole world to know he loves you to the moon and back! ultimately, he wouldn’t trade his relationship with you for the whole world. he’ll come home to you late at night sometimes with a plushie and a dessert for you as a sort of apology for possibly worrying you, seeing as he was out so late. absolute and total soft little sweetheart boyfriend who just wants to make you happy so please reassure him sometimes and do something for him in return!

USAMI RITO ->

this foodie hero’s love language is absolutely sharing his snacks with you. seeing as he often treats food as if it’s the only thing in the world that matters, it’s a real honor that he’s willing to share with you! he’s a bit of the chaotic dad of the group, so if you date him, you’d likely end up taking on a caretaker role to the other heroes too. he’s very cheesy with his shows of affection, it’s his way of saying he doesn’t care what others think and that even if he’s technically a public figure, you’re the only one he wants in the whole world. his ideal date would likely be bringing your favorite snacks home with him and watching movies while he cuddles with you! like the others, he’s a total softie even if his job as a hero doesn’t necessarily favor that due to questionable moral situations he may be put in. he’s not as upfront about his relationship with you, but he mentions it offhandedly every once in a while to remind people that he loves you oh so much.

HIBACHI MANA ->

your relationship with him most definitely started as friends and slowly evolved into something more, mostly without either of you noticing. most definitely a friends to lovers situation, because he had been your best friend since childhood. this hero has always been a very sweet and kind person, but especially towards you. his love for you most definitely would stand the rest of time as he continued his hero work. despite stress and injury, you were always there for him no matter what. it really made mana have a new appreciation for your relationship when you would drop everything to comfort him. he knows his job isn’t the most favorable for romantic relationships, but the fact that you stay with him despite that just makes his heart flutter when he thinks about it.

HOSHIRUBE SHOU ->

seeing as he’s much more of a quiet type, it was surprising he even allowed his feelings for you to be heard in the first place. especially considering how shy and quiet he is, having someone he loves as much as you is a blessing. he knows he's not the best with expressing affection verbally, but he makes up for it by always holding your hand or hugging or kissing you. in a way, it's easier to express than saying he loves you. of course, that doesn't mean shou doesn't love you with all his heart. the first time he audibly says the words "i love you", his face is covered in blush. he hides it behind his purple and blue hair, voice shaking slightly out of nervousness. he still blushes when you take the initiative and kiss him first, even if you’ve kissed hundreds of times. showing affection in public makes him very flustered, but he still holds your hand in front of other people just to show everyone that he loves you!

MURAKUMO KAGETSU ->

simply put, you’re everything to this ninja hero. he’s much more private about his relationship so many people wouldn’t even know he had a significant other aside from his closest friends. he reassures you constantly that he isn’t ashamed or anything of the like, just that it might cause danger for you due to the relatively risky nature of his work as a hero. ultimately, it’s just to keep you safe. as soon as he’s certain of your safety, he’ll be parading you about and talking about you every single chance he gets just to show the world how much he adores you. there’s a picture of you and him together in his phone case as a sort of motivator when his hero work has him down, cuz if nothing else, he has you to come home to every day. he has you to hug and kiss and pour all his love into at the end of every day. coming through the door to your shared home and seeing you is his absolute favorite thing in the world. especially if kagetsu is home especially late and sees you sleeping on the couch waiting for him, his heart just melts on the spot.

KOYANAGI ROU ->

most definitely a more condescending type who teases you over the smallest things sometimes. he can’t help it, it’s just his love language! rou isn’t really the best with being super affectionate, so please understand that him teasing you is how he shows he loves you. of course, he occasionally shows more traditional signs of love and affection such as buying you gifts or cuddling with you, but he just isn’t that affectionate of a person. please don’t let it get you down or make it think he doesn’t love you, because he really warms up to the idea of being affectionate after dating you for a while. behind closed doors at least, he’ll be wrapped around you all day and night commenting on how cute you are and how he just loves you so so much! he would never let his friends or fellow heroes see him in such a state though, they would never let him hear the end of it and he’s the one who teases other people, not the other way around! once in a blue moon, his friends will see him kiss your cheek or forehead though, and just as expected, he will never hear the end of it.

INAMI RAI ->

the mechanic prefers just having you by his side as he works on his newest invention or tinkers with his fellow hero’s gear to hopefully improve it. just sitting and chatting with you while he tinkers with things is his favorite pastime because he gets to mess with mechanical things and talk to his beloved!! he has a bunch of pictures of you at his work station as well as in his phone case just like kagetsu! his fellow heroes end up getting pretty annoyed with the way rai won’t shut up about you, but he thinks of you so highly that he could barely even convey how much he loves you in words. doesn’t mean he doesn’t try tho, cuz he does…he talks for hours just about how much he loves you. at first, he was scared to ask you out and rou had to put him up to it. both of them were absolutely taken aback when you actually agreed to go out with rai, and ESPECIALLY when you started seeing him regularly and made your relationship official.

- my age headcanon for Morro (when he died) usually falls in the 17-19 range, aka the worst time to be alive, aka the worst time to die because you're stuck with all the emotion and none of the rationality. Shithead teenager.

- Morro used to sing. Not for fun, just because it strengthened his lungs and his connection to airflow. This was a habit encouraged by Wu. He does not like to sing as a ghost because it's unnerving to hear sound but not feel air, and he doesn't like the strange echoey quality.

- if Morro were to have an opportunity to develop his own style it would be like. goth in spirit(ha). Practical goth. Doesn't like restricted movement and doesn't have the money or care to drop on a curated vibe, just likes darker clothing around those vibes and does makeup when he feels like it.

- doesn't like sugar in tea, coffee, any of that. Doesn't like sweet stuff much.

- the grey gi we see him in during the flashbacks was meant to be his gi colour, even if the other kids were wearing similar. It's like how Cole stuck with black as his gi colour even though that was technically their training gis.

- mandatory sexuality hc: doesn't use labels/care to figure out labels. Bigger fish to fry. In my head he's on the aroace spectrum though.

- mandatory gender hc: again, not that he would necessarily know this lmao, but agender

OKAY SANDSTORM TIME.

- Morro's had such intensity to his entire life, so I think the little gentler aspects of affection/romance would get him a lot, even if he takes a while being comfortable showing it. In tandem, Cole is casually physically affectionate :]

- Morro would prefer Coles cooking even if everyone else supposedly dislikes it because it was most of the first foods he got acquainted with after reviving. Kind of like a safe-food situation.

- although Morros self-reliance can be too intense/isolating sometimes, as a base trait it's actually something Cole respects/appreciates considering the amount of responsibility Cole tends to take on in regards to his team relying on him so much. It's a nice change of pace.

- Morro says stupidly concerning shit with the most casual tone and doesn't realize it's concerning until Coles giving him a certain sympathy/concern look. Cole begins to simply not giving him that look/just promp him to keep talking, because indicating that Morro was just accidentally vulnerable that way sends him right back into his shell, and Cole wants him to talk about stuff like that.

- late-as-fuck long talks about nothing and everything.

- INSANE duo in combat.

Unfortunately Cole specifically as a character is not my forte no matter how cool I think he is but I hope my Morro and sandstorm stuff is good :]

There’s this really charming collection of shows on Amazon Prime that doesn’t get nearly enough praise so I thought I’d ramble about my favorites a little. Churn out some propaganda to get people to watch them yknow?

Just Add Magic

- This is the one I’m currently rewatching and dungeon meshi fans might like this one because it’s food related. It’s about these three girls that stumble upon a magic cook book in one of their attics. The magic system is really unique and the voice actor of Steven Universe plays a character that comes in around season 2. I will warn you it’s VERY cheesy but the whole mystery of everything plus Gina Silvers makes up for it to me.

Gortimer Gibbons Life on Normal Street

- The absolute indie charm and whimsy that flows out of this show is amazing. Again, about a group of three kids in a small town like Just Add Magic BUT THEYRE DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES I SWEAR. They experience a whole bunch of just odd shit that happens in their neighborhood and none of it is ever really explained lmao. Characters are super charming and stuff happens later in the series that is really unique to see depicted in a children’s show. It’s treated with respect, and normalized like crazy and I really like that.

Lost in OZ

- I haven’t watched this one in a while so I’m fuzzy on the details but I remember the magic system in this one is really interesting too. It’s an adaptation of the Wizard of OZ where Dorthy’s daughter gets sent to OZ. This one’s animated! You can definitely see where the budget wasn’t able to cover certain things but the style is definitely trying to be unique which I appreciate especially for something made in the 2010s when most animation was still that 3D Pixar adjacent style (no hate just I need variety).

Tumble Leaf

- This show is for very young children and personally not even I can really watch through it without getting sleepy. BUT it’s stop motion and very adorable so on a technical side I still have to recommend it because of that. If you’re a parent this is a good bluey adjacent show that takes things slow and isn’t trying to overstimulate your kids brain.

Annedroids

- Again, haven’t watched this one in a while so I might be talking out of my ass on this one. I remember it being a really fun show that can be cheesy at times. It was definitely trying to get kids interested in robotics but that shit didn’t work on me at all lmao.

A Kid Named Mayonnaise

- I haven’t watched the actually show of this last one but oh my god!! Just the pilot of this was really fun. Again just dripping indie energy. Hope the show ended up keeping that same spirit.

for cleo, i really liked @papercranesandinkstains ‘s kildare university fanfic where she’s a youtuber who cooks, so i take inspo on that in my fic so she’s a chef! gordon ramsay type famous where she’s been in multiple cooking show as a judge, has her own cooking show, and ofc a whole ass five star resto 🙌🏻

In general though they are usually just bffs

Leo likes to always show Piper things he's working on or asks her what he should make when he's bored lol

Piper also sometimes asks Leo if she looks okay and Leos always like why tf are you asking me I have no sense of style whatsoever lmao

Piper is Leo's main source of snuggles most of the time and she also lets him play with her hair and braid it when he needs a stim or when theyre just chillin

They also write and draw on each others skin w marker wjen they're bored and a lot of times they'll just have their arms covered in random misspelled words in the others handwriting lmao

Leo likes cooking and Piper likes baking and they both try each ofhers stuff that they make and gibe good feedback

Piper is a couple of inches taller than Leo forever >:3

piper has really cold hands and leo has really warm hands in general

Whenever they need to vent they generally go to each other and be frustrated togetehr about annoying bullshit that goes on lol

they also hype each ofher up a lot

both being hyperactive adhd kiddos a lot of their conversations consist of them excitedly interrupting each other lmao

Leo likes to infodump about technical and math stuff or theoretical stuff or really anything that he likes a lot and Piper doesn't get most of it but she loves seeing him excited so sje asks all the questions hehe

Conversely, Piper likes to tell life stories in great detail when she's deep in conversation and Leo gets invested because really she's a pretty great storyteller but also bc he loves her

i think it would be cute if they made jewelry for each other

They like to banter and also fake flirt (and real flirt sometimes, depending lmao)

at some point really soon adter they met Leo was like hey what color are ur eyes and Piper was like actually i have no idea loll and then he just stared st her eyes trying to figure it out for several minutes and idk that image is just cute

piper also does that mom thing where if there's schmutz on Leos face she has to clean it off with anything she can find or sometimes her thumb lol, jason does that same thing and Leo's an easy target cus he gets dirty a lot lmao

Piper sings to Leo to calm them both down in the evening sometimes, not sure what songs she normally sings but they're like calm songs yk or maybe she just makes something up. Sometimes seh puts his name in the song lol

the writers know how they're portraying ryu shi-oh

i love grey characters, if not only for the psycho-analyzing potential. love them. so having a character like ryu shi-oh, especially with his tragic past, makes him very intriguing already.

at the same time, i did defend nam-soon & hee-sik to my friends for the entirety of the first three episodes, and i still try to give them a chance when they're on screen. it's a very comfortable ship, for sure.

but the writers MUST know what they are doing everytime they show us how badly ryu shi-oh wants to be free from his situation. especially seeing as to how he's started actively trying to break away from the mafia – notably, after he's begun to think he has a chance at friendship/love

darker, twisted relationships are present throughout several places in media and widely accepted and loved by those interested in the genre, and what shi-oh feels for nam-soon is a prime example that ticks off many additional tropes.

if they wanted the audience to root for nam-soon & hee-sik, there were SO many opportunities the writers had to really enhance their relationship, especially when hee-sik was at the funeral & nam-soon's brother was in the hospital – all we got was a phone call, which is realistically understandable, but artistically, it was a solid chance to have them support each other through hard times.

▪︎ in fact, the only times we've got them together in one room it's either been:

contribution to the main drug plotline

one of them is asleep

jokes about how they'll have to have a child quickly (personally, i don't really like how there's so much emphasis on this, especially when they depict it like it's a romantic thing)

hee-sik jealous of si-oh's closeness with nam-soon

that one scene where hee-sik loved nam-soon's cooking, unlike the rest of his team, which was also edited and directed like a cute joke, rather than something sentimental – they weren't in the same room for this one, lmao, but still:

i would've really been pulled in if there had been more lead up to a confession — from a technical standpoint, they have no key moments that made me root for them, other than "he's a good person", which isn't very compelling to me, personally

the writers are definitely aware of how they are portraying things and dividing up the screen time, and i do think they're going to have to villainize ryu shi-oh irretrievably for the current majority to switch over and consider nam-soon x hee-sik to be the best possible ship, but right now that's not true.

they might redeem ryu shi-oh, which will satisfy most of us, but it will still leave nam-soon x hee-sik a bit unconvincing unless they set up a very significant plot line with hee-sik which can convince us of their chemistry, and that will be pretty tough if they give shi-oh positive growth & character development.
