i noticed nintendo hasn't drawn any attention to shiver's winning streak like they have in in-game dialogue relating to previous games' splatfests... really hope it's not because they're trying to pretend there isn't a blatant imbalance w splatfest teams

#rory yells at cloud #splatoon #splatfest #like. marina lost 3 fests in a row and yelled at pearl to shut up over it #similarly: in the JP fest dialogue pearl makes a remark about losing 5 fests in a row #ig they could just be trying to make the idols nicer this game after how mean the squid sisters and OTH were to eachother at times #but it's. weird. shiver has won SEVEN of the ten splatfests and nintendo isnt addressing it at all?#at this point i'm not at all hopeful that there's ever going to be a much-needed splatfest rework #they changed the scoring system a LOT in splat1 and reworked it in splat2 after pearl won 3 in a row #the bias is so much more blatant in splat3 and yet they've still done nothing. idk. it doesn't feel fair #ik the difference in sea snail rewards is negligible but it's about the principle. if one team always wins what's the point of the other 2

I never posted my reaction to Summerfest on here, soooo

God, this design grew on me. The blond and pink tentacles are gorgeous, and I love the lime headpiece. Lemon-lime soda is my favorite drink, so this Shiver was made for me. Ultimately, my least favorite special Shiver design, but it says something since she's still absolutely gorgeous. (I love the other two as well).

This design also grew on me! I love the fresh and vibrant vibes it has! Callie looks absolutely gorgeous, though it took me a while to get used to her chopped "hair." Marie is also pretty, though I'm not crazy for her like everyone else.

splatoon 3's tri splatfests are so unbalanced because theres always a most popular. and now, there's always a second most popular, and then least popular. but the thing is is that least popular is always screwed over and loses by a ton, and even though second most popular has a fighting chance, the least popular teams points take away from it, making the most popular always a guaranteed win. kinda sucks shiver has won like 5 splatfests compared to the others

with how the splat 3 fanbase is acting about splatfests, you'd think there's something real and tangible on the line and not like, superficial bragging rights and a few extra snails. idk why people are sitting here and getting angry at shiver as if she's a real person who has any actual will to do anything and not just pixels on a screen, especially when there are legitimate issues with how splatfests are designed and run in splat3, and that's the devs and nintendo's fault, not shiver. she's not real and she can't do anything to you. and i've seen way more complaining about the concept of "toxic shiver stans who always pick shiver and ruin it for everyone" than i have any actual evidence that these kind of people exist on a mass scale. it really feels like that kind of person is a guy that the fanbase made up to be mad at every time they lose. i agree that there are huge problems with splat 3 but the moment someone lays the blame on shiver they throw all credibility out the window. it's not shiver, there's no evil cult of shiver stans manipulating the splatfests, and don't get me started on how people are talking about the asian playerbase with these splatfests.
