It’s so weird to me to see modern ZADR fans who are no older than like 15 whining about shipping. Like, hate to burst your bubble, but the vast majority of people don’t care about “proship” or whatever the fuck. It’s not a real issue (your personal disgust and trauma doesn’t mean that content isn’t allowed to exist) and I’m tired of people hyper focusing on it like it is.

Your feelings towards taboo or “disgusting” art are completely valid, but you have no right to treat people poorly or dish out abusive behavior over it. You certainly have no right to tell those people you wished they died, either.

It’s not the “proshippers” who ruin a fandom, it’s the fandom newbies who are obsessed with purity culture and fake progressive ideas that spread hate and abuse without hesitation.

Stop trying to tell yourself that it’s okay to be bigots and abusive towards the “right people” for the “right reasons”. You make fandom spaces, places that are meant to be fun and chill, highly stressful. Nobody should have to constantly walk on eggshells because you can’t control your temper.

No, I don’t deserve to die. No, I don’t deserve to be harassed. No, I don’t deserve threats. No, I don’t deserve abuse.

Break out of these abusive behaviors, stop bullying and harassing (abusing) people over things that don’t matter or exist. Sincerely, I hope the teens that think this way grow out of that shit. You’re better than this.

The word “pro” means you are for something, like being Pro-abortion means you’re for abortion rights. Proshipping just means you believe ships have a right to exist regardless of your own feelings.

I find the fact that the confrontation at the end of UTRH is often summarized as Jason asking Bruce to kill the Joker for him fascinating.

Because that's not what happened.

Jason holds a gun up to Joker's head, gives Bruce another, and tells him that if Bruce doesn't do something (shoot Jason), he will kill Joker.

Jason doesn't give the gun to Bruce so that he would shoot Joker. He isn't expecting Bruce to pull the trigger on the clown. He's asking Bruce to do nothing. To be inactive. Because that will still be a choice, and despite having done nothing, everybody clearly agrees that Bruce would still, at least in part, be responsible for Joker's death.

...And to me, this moment is a kind of- microcosm, of the rest of Jason's point. Because after being captured and carted off to Arkham, the villain will escape again, and will kill more people. The only way to truly prevent that from happening would be to kill them; Bruce refuses to do so, and I respect his right to choose such a thing for himself, but it is still a choice, and if we agree that Bruce's inaction during the confrontation would leave him at least partly responsible for the Joker's death, then we must also agree that his inaction in permanently preventing the Rogues from killing more people means he is also, partly, responsible for all of those deaths.

If I was Cait, I would've simply hauled Vi to a private room with a bed, urgency and desperation and yearning be damned. We have boundary on our own work and that’s it. What I say is not and should not be considered sth the whole fandom should listen to. I’m just a normal ass person ranting about things on my blog. If it does not have a fandom tag for others to engage in, do not make it out to be me trying to start fights or addressing the whole community. Because it’s not.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, my art, my lore talk, is biased. I’ve never tried to hide that I view Marika a certain way and will always develop my theory following that base assumption.

Aside from translation stuffs and pointing out in-game items, everything else I say you can look at it, agree or disagree, and move on to form your own opinions. Just because I draw stuffs doesn’t mean you get to saddle me with responsibilities about managing fandom expectations. What the hell? I’m a fan artist, I’m the last person who you should look at for “leaderism” (?) WHAT?

I can and will be a hater in my own space, like I know sometimes other artists will just post their stuffs and not engage too heavily with fandom, and for a while I did try to do that here (because I’m already a dramatic ass on twitter), that’s just not me though.

god the thing is. even if i dont even care abt 'going nonverbal' , even if i find the discussion about it nonproductive and annoying , even if i think it takes up WAY to much space in nonverbal nonspeaking communities , and is just stupid whatever terminology discourse. it literally doesnt matter. Not just Loustats; DM stans do this too. frankly - not hate on Armand* but re: headcanoning Loumand as inherently and uniquely bad, unhealthy and loveless. (*Sometimes, they'll hate on Louis instead but this is less common, granted.) This very much seems like the two largest (and arguably endgame) ships in the fandom being ridiculously defensive and standoffish about a ship that's quite unlikely to get back together again in the show. On Reddit they're especially awful - saw a thread of someone being like "aw I'm sad no one seems to like Loumand" and they got a swarm of condescending comments like "it's cause they're terrible" and "just try to like Lestat and look forward to a better relationship for Armand in DM!1!" better relationship my ass. But it's funny because if Loumand was so clearly bad and meaningless…why do they feel soooo threatened by it when it's not ever going to be endgame? lmao.

Honestly, Loumand (on the show) is the kind of ship where I think there's enough room for interpretation that a lot can depend on how someone decides to interpret their interactions and the individual choices. If you want to believe that Armand does nothing but manipulate and that he's just doing this out of loneliness and is terrible, if you think that Louis has only ever loved Lestat and can only ever love Lestat (because of course that's how ppl function - only one true love allowed!) or that Armand must pine only for Daniel or Lestat (no matter what changes the show made), if you think that they can barely stand each other in Dubai because they argue sometimes and aren't always trying to get into each other's pants, then that's going to lead to a very different interpretation than if you're someone (like me) who sees genuine love, care and partnership there, despite the significant baggage they carry around. But people choose the former interpretation because it suits their ships.

I've been thinking about Sylus x Caleb doing like an interrogation roleplay as a lead in to rough sex but I keep getting stuck on how deep and sultry Sylus' voice is compared to Caleb's much more youthful voice and I'm reminded of when my best friend in high school got her tonsils removed and her voice got really high for a while. she sounded like a got damn 7 year old and she told me about how her and her boyfriend were having a fight and he kept having to choke back laughter and try not to smile because she would yell at him and it was like being yelled at by a hamster.
