Because the For You page rarely actually has anything I want to see on it, whereas the several hundred people I follow, I followed specifically because I like the stuff they post. I also like them as people. The idea of trusting tumblr's algorithm to give me stuff sets off air raid sirens in my head. You will miss out on so much.

#seriously op #you're really limiting yourself by sticking to the fyp #treating tumblr like tiktok doesn't work #and i have a feeling that people trying to use it like tiktok is what's contributing to such a drop in user interaction with artists #because afaik something has to reach a certain spread before it even gets to the fyp #so people who post art are stuck languishing with minimal notes #just gah #follow people!#it's the point of this site!#polls
