YES, OMG SO MANY YES

Initially actually very mean with each other, Light bot vs. Wily bot rivalry is crazy. Quick really does tear him apart on a few occasions, so much so that Elec gets to the point of almost surrender? Cause he just can't stand the humiliation of losing over and over again. Especially when it's in front of the other DLN's. Quick notices (slowly, he's got that attack first ask questions never mindset) Elec just doesn't really fight back anymore. Even in front of the other Light numbers he'll just stand there and wait. Which really does a number on Quick's programming, and he too gets to a point of, what's the point of attacking him if he's not going to fight back? They have a more "formal" introduction sometime after the 3rd Wily war. Where they have both just given up on fighting each other whenever 'duty calls'. One family clash in particular they both just end up standing and watching the others fight. (very romeo and juliet, our families will always be at odds with each other). And they do kinda talk, ask what the other is doing in the city. Elec asks about the third liners, cause they're still family in his mind. And he wants to know that Wily is treating them well. After that meeting though, Quick gets increasingly more curious about Elec though. He ends up sneaking into the powerplant where Elec works to try and see him, but he kinda just realizes how miserable Elec has become. And Quick, being the kind of pro-active line leader that he is decides that he's going to do something about it!! Quick sneaks in after hours and corners Elec. Which is INCREDIBLY threatening for Elec at first, be he knows now that Quick will just talk with him and not just jump to fighting. Quick suggests that Elec leave and come to the Wily castle with him, which Elec obviously refuses to do. But Quick, being stubborn and a creative thinker, instead just tells him that he's going to kidnap him so he can have a break from everything for a while. What a gentleman. Which again, Elec says is a stupid idea. But like... not TOTALLY opposed to being away from the plant for a little while....like it might be nice to have a break and be kidnapped. And god, he could have a nap, and a shower, and catch up on his book that he started 7 months ago and hasn't had the time to read. So, Quick's heard enough, and just throws him over his shoulder and leaves. And Elec puts on the worlds worst performance of "oh no! this big mean Wily bot is taking me away to be evil! save me!" to send to his family. And Quick takes him to the world's shittiest motel just outside the city, but for Elec it's basically paradise <3 And yeah, Rock come to "rescue" him in a few hours, cause Quick didn't really think this whole plan through. But Quick gets into a habit of just going over to the powerplant whenever he has the time to ask is Elec needs some time away. The two of them end up talking a lot, and just hanging out together at the powerplant when Elec knows nobody else is going to be around. And having Quick around just makes everything so much nicer for Elec. So much so that Elec eventually asks Quick if they could get to know each other a little more personally *wink* *wink* _____________________________________________________________

An unpopular opinion about that character - I don't want him to be the main pup in a movie just for "he deserves it". Been there, seen how it goes. When a franchise produces something just to cater to fandom wishes/angry demands, the risks of it coming out real badly made are HIGH. I love Marshall and I want him to be the star under a movie spotlight just like most of you do, but I absolutely DO NOT want to demand for it. I do NOT want the next movie to be about him. I do NOT want them to make something just for the sake of making something. I will NOT get mad if the next movie isn't about him. Whenever they make a movie about him, I just want it to be well made and I do NOT mind waiting how many years it'll take. And if they won't ever make it, I'll be sad, but not mad, not angry, I'm not gonna drop the show just for that. As much as I love Marshall with all my heart and soul, I am well aware he is a fictional character and I am a real living person. I got my priorities in order and I can create fan content myself if I decide I want to.

Well, I've only watched a handful of TF shows so far because, I kid you not, there are tons outside of America (I need to start the Japanese continuity mnghhher)

B u T, these are the ones I would recommend:

Want to start with something lighthearted and easy to consume instead of all war and suffering? Try Transformers Rescue Bots! It is focused on a younger audience that the slightly older most series are used to, but it does not treat children as stupid, it has a writing that surpasses the other two series in the continuity it's part of (The Aligned continuity, with Transformers Prime and it's (horrible) sequel Transformers Robots in Disguise 2015); and there may be no decepticon presence beyond mentions and a minicon in the fourth season, but it really is amazing to see a series where the focus is non-combatant autobots and their bond the human family and island they must protect. Something to keep in mind: you may have never heard of any of these bots outside of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee (who are practically guest stars), but you will easily get attached to them.

The most recent and also focused on the bond with humans and family dynamics is Transformers Earthspark. Just as with Rescue Bots, with OG characters and a great family (both shows have in common the fact that they have the best human characters). Still this one can be full of sweetness and easy to consume, post-war focused, BUT it can and gets dark so prepare yourself.

The other two that have the humor and action that you would expect from a typical superhero show are: Transformers Animated and Transformers Cyberverse, with the typical war of autobots and decepticons and the characters that we all know. Although I warn you that Cyberverse may make you want to drop it in the first season, it gets better in the next three ones.

And... Well, I couldn't leave this one out: Transformers Prime. Despite being part of the same continuity as Rescue Bots, its tone is very different and perhaps the problem with it is that it takes itself too seriously. I have seen several summarize the show as: it is afraid of being a show for children despite BEING a show for children. Some plot holes here and there, problems with character development and concepts that it doesn't explore well, but it's still quite enjoyable and it was the first one that many fans got to know or got a taste for Transformers.

I hope I have been useful to you and welcome to the fandom if something manages to catch your attention, just stay away from Kiss Players and you will avoid trauma <3

What happens if you are bribed forced by Crowley to save Idia from the phantom bride by acting as Idia's beloved? Eliza can't marry Idia if he already got a lover right? But the thing is, while you don't know Idia that well, he knows everything about you. Imagine Idia's shock and happiness when you, his stalked darling, proclaim your love for him in front of all these cheerful and annoyingly handsome boys (he could die from sheer euphoria).

His happiness ends when he found out you were lying. It's alright, makes sense if you don't like a gloomy shut-in like him. But lying? To his poor heart? That is very mean, so of course Idia has to make you follow through with that lie and become his.

That aside Phantom Bride is still the funniest twst event to me, all these boys she could choose and Eliza straight up picked the most rizzless pathetic one (affectionate)

Omg just imagine in the aftermath of the rescue he approaches you, all nervous and stuttering and pink in the face and hair, and he tries to tell you he feels the same way... only for you to give him a weird look and say, "You can stop pretending now. The ghosts have left." And Idia feels himself die inside. T_T how could he fall for an act!!! This is why he ought to remain loyal to 2D, or so he tries to think in an attempt to ease the embarrassment and pain. He definitely holes himself up in his room after that and refuses to leave because he's worried he'll run into you again and you'll laugh at him for being such a loser. Ortho has to console him and convince him that you wouldn't think those things because you've always been so nice. Idia thinks he'll go back to quietly observing you for now, but one day he'll make you his. :) and then all of your lies will surely become real. Until then, he's going to practice having conversations with the (Name) ai bot he's coded so that next time he'll be prepared!

Phantom Bride event is always going to be one of my favorite twst events! You're so right that it's a funny event. Out of so many possible suitors, Eliza did indeed choose the one with the least amount of rizz. >_< and the fact that no one wanted to help Idia... T^T it's a terrible thing, but it is a little funny when they congratulated him on finding someone. And when they all became competitive over wanting to be the one to woo Eliza!! ^^;;;

OMG I just remembered the bots went down with Tony's house in IM3 and Tony went through the trouble of rescuing them all from under the water! He loves them so so much 🥺 and he was probably so sad and upset when he realized they had gone down with the house, but he was like too busy with Killian to work on that 😔 so it took him a while to be able to go after his best boys! And he'd be so fucking happy the moment he rescues them and manages to get them to work again! 🤧

Was literally thinking about this the other night and was so so sad thinking about it at first 😭 I mean he built them when he was like 16 and has spent so much time not only working on them but also working with them! And treating them and talking to them like people!! They are his friends 😭😭😭 and likely some of his only company at many times 🥺 Crying thinking about the smile on Tony’s face when that grabby claw started clicking again 😭😭😭😭😭 and maybe giving him a little pat before getting everyone right back to work 🥺

Omg I can totally see her potentially being an Autobot during the war! I like to think some long time ago, since being a agent is technically in the same branch as a cop-that she was a police officer like Chase.

She could of been an autobot and rejoined as a rescuebot after hearing the team was alive. Quickshadow would have to weigh the factor however that being an rescuebot again would put a huge target on her back. Especially since team prime is HIDING the rescue bots existence on Griffen Rock. To the Decepticons and everyone else, it'd look like Quickshadow is the last in existence.

It'd definitely make sense if she was an Autobot, then again Predaking kept his Predacon symbol. It could all be a matter of honoring your original faction in the end. No one during the war would be expecting to find a rescuebot, so they wouldn't be looking for one. It can additionally serve as a shock factor/cover for quickshadow.

So many questions!! So many factors and theories!!! Quickshadow despite being such a small tf character could cover so much untouched tf lore.

So I watch YJ3 episodes 10-13...

Right well...I hate to say that I don’t have a lot of positives to say here.

One positive however is WE GOT HARPER ROW, OMG, THE BATFAM IS ALMOST COMPLETE, ALL WE NEED IS DUKE THOMAS. I was absolutely not expecting her at all, but it’s pretty cool. On the other hand though I hate her character design, It looks way too much like Tara’s design in Judas Contract, except blue. And Harper doesn’t have an undercut like that, she has a fauxhawk that lays on one side, I don’t know if she’s ever even had another hairstyle. Honestly all the hair in the YJ character designs look choppy and kind of lazy but this felt especially bad to me.

Violet and Forager going to school was cute. I’m glad they didn’t have everyone automatically love them despite being totally weird because that would have just been unrealistic. Forager’s name of Fred Bugg with-two-g’s was perfect. I’m surprised Violet took Will’s last name.

We saw Cheshire again. I love YJ Cheshire. I love her voice.

Granny Goode was evil, surprising absolutely no one. i was glad we got to it before the break. Her reveal felt really rushed though, I didn’t like it. And no one confronted her in person about the goggles, it was weird.

Episodes 11-13 all felt really choppy and poorly written, to be honest. Like the conversation between Vic and his dad made no freaking sense. the dialogue was straight up bad. He was all, “I’m pissed at you! Also, I want to kill you now that you turned me into a murder-bot! That’s your fault! Cuz I’m probably evil now! And I’m legit pissed about that, like I would probably still want to kill you even if I didn’t have a murder-box telling me too!” Actually my stupid dialogue was more coherent than that dialogue and I wasn’t even trying.

Oh yeah, Vic is here, by the way. I’m surprised this is a story-line they are telling I was kind of assuming he was already in this universe and he just skipped YJ and went straight to Justice League like he did in the cinematic universe.

So Halo is a Mother Box that took over a human...okay. I’m guessing she isn’t that in the comics? Or maybe she is, I don’t know anything about her character. Like how surprised were you guys by this revelation? I was thinking her powers were kind of suspicious when she summoned a boom-tube but I hadn’t been thinking of the crushed mother box until it was brought up.

The whole sequence with Gar was fucking weird and I’m kind of insulted by how freaking shameless a plug it was for the upcoming Doom Patrol show. And not even an interesting plug it was just bonkers and not in a cool or interesting way. Let’s just say I hated it and leave it at that, it made no goddamn sense. This was supposed to be ‘subliminal messaging?’ I didn’t like the Teen Titan’s go references either, it totally took me out of the scenes.

Perdita and Garfield were actually pretty cute, though

Mento’s voice, like huh? It sounded like it was recorded with inferior equipment.

I did like that we got some backstory on Garfield and why he was doing the actor thing. He thought acting would connect him with his mom, and his guardian was also kind of using him as a lot of child actors can be if they have poor parents. It was interesting.

I don’t understand that shit with the monkey though. Is that a thing in the comics? I feel like it was just some BS, honestly. I didn’t like it.

Wally, Jason and those two other characters being killed off one by one was kind of heartbreaking and disturbing--and then it was all ruined by a TTGO version of the Doom Patrol chanting about going off to die.

Elastigirl being Gar’s mom’s costar on Hello Megan was an interesting twist too.

I don’t like how Violet and Brion got together off screen. We saw some really cute interactions that seemed like they were leading up to them getting together and then a short disconnected scene of them kissing later and then all of a sudden Brion is saying Halo is his girlfriend.

And the way she reacted, Violet clearly hadn’t been asked so that kind of insulted me a bit that he just declared it without asking. Like for all he knew she didn’t even understand what doing out was. I mean yeah clearly she liked him but that doesn’t mean you can skip asking first.

Court of owls/Parliament of owls appearance. This really is just the batfam show, isn’t it? I’m okay with that.

That interaction with the Ice-guy and Superboy was great. This was a call-back to an episode where M’gann and Conner were undercover in Belle Reev or something in YJ1, if I recall.

Tara was rescued, yay. And she’s working for Deathstroke...not the first time for sure. It was a given, really.

Speaking of Deathstroke, the mooks on Santa Prisca were hilarious.

Also there are way too many straight couples in this show. For one that claimed LGBT relationship representation, they sure are going out of their way to bury and avoid it. That’s not good, man. They are going to catch some flack for this for sure, mark my words.

All Systems Red - Chapter 4

Mind yourselves, there are spoilers for the NOVELLA here, that means I’m basically spoiling near everything - if you plan on reading this novella then this may not be for you. 

As a fan who loves to binge fanfics, shows and manga I really relate to MurderBot's determination to squeeze out every minute of time they can to watch their serials.

Oho! So I was kinda right! Bots are partially constructed from cloned material! (or rather they were 'given to understand')

Ok ok ok. Hmm… Imitative Human Bot Units, that's the name.

I love how we know through narration that MurderBot is making efforts to sound neutral - which implies emotion and suppressing it (probably because big brother is watching)

Oooooh this conversation. Well I mean he's right, but big brother is watching and MurderBot will be killed if he's right on camera so … ugh.

 So what I'm getting is that the bots are cloned humans - or cloned then augmented humans… hmm, that surely is a huge violation of human rights, but this is capitalist dystopia - I'm sure they can buy cloning rights. Granted the way he's pushing is both bad and understandable.

I like how MurderBot just removes themselves from the confrontation.

 ...and then just resumes watching their serials.

 Love it.

 The casual mentions of MurderBot's company sanctioned spying really sets the mood. Now I'm thinking that there was something sus in that update MurderBot did not unpack - did other SecUnits kill of Delta guys...hmmm. An now with the satellite, sounds like major corporate sabotage - would it be internal in this case?

 MurderBot has a bad feeling too.

 I like how MurderBot notes that despite being a bigger operation DeltFall get's same shitty equipment - capitalist dystopia at it's greatest/worst.

MurderBot is in top form here, using security protocols as an answer for being protective and properly cautious - granted still removed from their human company...with good reason. I wonder if their record will look worse or better after this.

 Oooh, so there's adifference in being a combat MurderBot and Security Unit like our MurderBot is...interesting. They said that their record of keeping people alive was bad (or implied it) so if they're not there to possibly kill clients then they've failed to stop them from killing each-other or being killed by something else.

Oh gosh...clients ordering their SecUnits to fight each-other. This is barbaric and also something people would definitely do. Especially here where SecUnits seem to be cheaply produced and cheaply outfitted (unlike the expensive androids in Detroit: Become Human where the mishandling took me out of it since I know you wouldn't treat expensive equipment that way - simply because money).

So bot units just don't care about each other, or perhaps can't due to governing module.

 Now...did MurderBot experience many 'looking-for-the-body-parts' phases before or did they get that from their serials...which is funnier?

MurderBot showing protective tendencies :D and murderous ones! :D  'I wanted to kill them' MurderBot in top form. Because the other bots took humans unaware? Because the humans weren't doing anything bad at the time? Hmm.

Oof, the murder scene is just the right kind of gore and implied violence with a dash of distance given our MurderBot. And apparently...a trap's been set for them when the other SecUnits noticed they were coming.

Our MurderBot is either sharp due to cracked module or because of serials (presumably some are crime shows) - now, again, which is funnier?

The battle is fast and rutal and also gives more insight into how clients treat them...ugh - these two tho...they murdered the third bot? and then killed the humans? Hmm…

 Oh crap.

 Someone got MurderBot.

 Oooo...another SecUnit?

 Oh dear. Oh dear. Medical horror shocked me.

 MurderBot got it, adrenaline surge!

 OOOOO, combat override modules :o so did humans do that and then lose control? And then SecUnits just did it to each-other? Or an outside source? Ooooo
