just a friendly reminder that, just because slavery was formally "abolished" in the so-called united states* in 1865, enslavement itself is still ongoing in the form of incarceration, which disproportionately affects Black and Indigenous people

the courage it must have taken joke to find his dad in the hospital and ask him for help. the courage it must have taken to face the man who’s only ever been disappointed with him. the courage to reconnect with someone who hasn’t spoken to him since the night he was arrested. the courage to hurt himself in order to help jack and his grandma. to have that man publicly disown him without a second thought, and still have the courage to go right back and stand by jack’s side and carry on as though it never happened. and jack might never know. might never understand just how brave joke can be. for him.

Random Background Noise in episode three of Jack & Joker:

Jack's shirt says "tranquility" which he has not experienced since he met Joke.

These two waking up in the same field in Khon Kaen (which is about six and half hours away from Bangkok) is fate expedited by Joke's scheme, and they are married now.

The show having product placements is a sign of a healthy ecosystem and that the bills are being paid.

The signature Joker face is crying as Jack pauses to witness Hope hitting the bodyguards for letting Joke escape knowing he was the one to let him go.

The comments on the photo of Joke's brother are about how cute the family looks and how the son is just like his parents.

The cards read - #9: When the clown turns into a human, the fate of the forgiver changes. #14: The seeker will find out in due time that the right person is by your side.

Joke's signature color is red.

And he had little red stripes on his jacket here.

Aran told his dad everything went well mainly because he doesn't want his dad to know that his mother's necklace has been stolen and that event was a disaster, but that means nobody else is getting in trouble, so . . .
