#also.#so many 'schools should be teaching X' things are really things parents should be teaching#cooking? parents#basic money management? parents#social emotional skills? parents#safe sex? parents#'but many parents cant/dont teach those things!' ok cool so weve identified a problem#that doesnt automatically mean the answer is schools#we need to firmly identify what is the actual purpose for schools#what is THEIR job#and thats where the focus needs to be#then we can look at if other things can be offered through the schools#and sometimes the answer will be yes but sometimes it wont be#and so we may have to turn somewhere else for answers#but if the schools arent the answer that doesnt mean the schools have failed if it was never in their purview to begin with#and the bottom line is i want to help my students#i want to teach them as a whole person as best i can#and there are ways that i can do that helps me teach their hearts as well as their minds#but i cannot parent 160 teenagers.#it doesnt matter how much i want to i cant do it.#so the expectation cannot be for teachers to fill all the holes left by parents who are either unwilling or simply not equipped to do thejob

the birds and the bees.
yandere!riddle rosehearts x (female) reader cw: yandere, unhealthy behaviors/relationship, nsfw, slight dub-con, implied stalking, age gap (riddle is 19 and reader is 29) note - you're hired to teach riddle about the birds and the bees. you need the money. he needs to get laid.
The Roseheartsâs Residence looks about how you expected it to after driving past houses of similar size and grandeur. Unlike you, theyâre definitely not strapped for cash. Itâs an impressive structure with its elegant wrought iron gates and expertly trimmed hedges. Youâre immediately overcome with bitter jealousy when you step through the entrance, passing rose bushes in full bloom. If only your apartment could look and feel as nice as this place. You almost wonder if you should keep Mrs. Roseheartsâs contact in case she ever needs a gardener or a window washerâŚ
But then that risks your cover, and the last thing you want is to get tangled up in trouble with the upper middle class.
Gathering your courage, you smooth invisible wrinkles in your pencil skirt, steady your balance in your Mary Janesâboth at socially acceptable lengths and heightsâand bring your fist down against the door. Seconds after the third knock, it opens to reveal a woman who looks as prim and proper as the landscape of her home. She takes a long moment, drinking in your formal features, and then smiles approvingly.
âAh, (Name), youâre early.â
You soften your face into something polite and demure. âBetter early than late.â
âI couldnât agree more.â
She steps aside, gesturing for you to come in. You meander into the foyer and are instantly reminded of those exquisite house tours on MagiTube. Thereâs a fine layer of modest Victorian wealth to the decor. Flowery wallpaper, a lofty ceiling, an aureate chandelier, a vase filled with fresh tulips of all colors⌠Oh, how you wish you could live here!
âYour home is beautiful,â you comment as you straighten your bow headband.
âWhy, thank you.â Her eyes light up once more. âIâve always admired this neighborhood. Everything is so well-kept. Speaking of which, where did you say youâre from?â
âOh, Iâm actually getting ready to move back to school at the end of the summer,â you explain, narrowly dodging her question. No way Iâm telling her I live in a not-so-affluent neighborhood⌠Sheâll totally kick me out. âIâm staying with my parents in the meantime and working a few jobs to support myself.â
âAnd what was it youâre studying again?â
You paste a hollow smile on, sensing her distrust. I already told you this when we met at the clinic. Do I really seem so suspicious?
âIâm studying to be an ob-gyn.â
âA wonderful profession,â she praises, nodding to herself. âVery wonderful indeed. And how old are you? I merely ask to confirm. There are so many miscreants nowadays. You can never be too sure.â
âI understand completely, Mrs. Rosehearts. Iâmââ you almost falter, your real age on the tip of your tongueâ âtwenty-two. What about your son? You told me heâs also looking to get into the medical field?â
âNot looking. He will pursue medicine,â she corrects sternly. âJust like his mother.â
You swallow your disgust and try not to let it show so openly. Yikes⌠Talk about controlling.
Mrs. Rosehearts waves you onwards down the hall. âMy Riddle will be leaving for his first year of college at the end of August. Though Iâm certain heâs more than prepared, it never hurts to review.â
âAbsolutely. So youâd like me to give him the talk?â
âNot just that. Iâd like you to teach him well enough so that copulation and any other libidinous ideas are the last things on his mind. Stamp them out if you must. Heâs to focus on his studies and make good decisions just as I raised him.â
Shouldnât he already be familiar with this? Besides, heâs not a kid. Of course heâs going to think about sex. Most of us do when weâre horny.
But you canât say that outright, so you settle for something vastly different.
âItâs important to stay on the right path and be responsible.â
Mrs. Rosehearts nods her agreement. Your stomach twists in discomfort.
On second thought, I donât want to be upper middle class if these are the people I have to deal with. Is this guy going to have any chance to be social? To live his life? To make and learn from stupid mistakes? I bet he canât wait to get out of here and go off to school.
âI apologize if this is rude in any way, but I just want to ensure Iâll be paid accordingly.â
âOf course. Good work must always be recognized and rewarded.â She stops at a door. âI cannot thank you enough for lending my Riddle your time. Teach him well.â
âIâll do just that. You can count on it.â
Pleased with the level of maturity youâve displayed, she raps her knuckles against the door and calls out, âRiddle, the tutorâs here.â
âVery well, Mother. Iâve just finished todayâs readings, so you can send them in,â comes a muffled reply.
Todayâs readings? you think, perplexed. Your gaze slides from the door to Mrs. Rosehearts. Does she have this guy doing summer school? That must suck! What a shitty way to spend your summer, cooped up inside filling out workbooks and stuff.
âIâll be out running errands in the meantime. I trust youâll be all right by yourself?â
âPerfectly all right,â you assure her, to which she hums and strides past you. You catch her perfume as she departs, and it reminds you of the types of scents worn by saggy, old ladies who have nothing better to do than sit around and complain about the state of the world and the way their children turned out.
In other words, a scent you associate with misery.
You wait until sheâs out of sight before opening the door and stepping inside the study. Thereâs a mahogany desk in the center, and thick textbooks are piled high on either side. Beyond that, beside a big bay window with cream-colored curtains drawn to let in the sun, two large bookcases are packed with an array of tomes. At the front of the room, a blackboard has been built into a wooden frame. Chalk lines the ledge, situated within reach of an eraser. And sitting at the desk, his eyes glued to an open book, is a young man. A pair of round frames sit on the bridge of his nose, slipping ever so slightly down the slope of it when he peers at the page. He pushes them up when he finally lifts his head to greet you.
âHey.â You wave awkwardly, easing the door shut.
He seems taken aback by your appearance. âOh, yes. Right. HelloâŚâ
Silence soon fills the space. You wonder if you should just save yourself this nonsensical waste of time and retreat.
âSooo.â You fold your arms behind your back, rocking on your heels. âYour motherâs probably told you why Iâm here.â
âIâm aware.â He shuts his book and stands from his seat. âMy name is Riddle Rosehearts. A pleasure to meet you.â
You blink at his outstretched arm. â(Name). Likewise.â You grab his hand and shake firmly.Â
So stiffâŚ
âSo whereâre we starting? The basics? You want the whole âwhen a man and a woman love each other very muchâ version orââ
Riddle scoffs and yanks his arm back. âIâm not a fool. Iâll have you know Iâm well aware of sexual reproduction and what it entails.â
âYou can call it sex. No oneâs forcing you to be all biological,â you tease. His body goes rigid, and his face reddens in what you assume is flustered annoyance. âAnyways, since youâre not as brainless as Mother Dearest wants me to assume, Iâll just get into it.â
Riddle stares at you, his arms folding over his chest. He looks like he wants to argue, but instead he huffs and lowers into his chair.
Wordlessly, you undo the buttons on your blazer and shrug out of it. Your blouse goes next, untucked from your skirt and shucked. Riddleâs eyes are so wide they nearly pop out of his skull when he spies the white, lacy false collar that just barely covers your breasts. Youâre about to step out of your pencil skirt next when Riddle clears his throat.
âW-Whatâre you doing?â
âIsnât it obvious?â
âNo?â
âIâm teaching you the birds and the bees.â
âN-Not in that outfit! S-Surely notâŚâ He averts his eyes, crimson crawling up to his ears. âYouâre practically nude!â
âThatâs the point of lingerie, silly.â Your skirt pools around your ankles to reveal the rest of your frilly ensemble. A black-and-white cupless bra and crotchless panties set, both with plenty of ruffles, held together with a pair of garters. Still wearing matching stockings and your precious Mary Janes, you bend down to gather your discarded clothes. Theyâre set aside on a nearby chair. âYou can look.â
âA-Absolutely not!â he hisses, squeezing his eyes shut. âY-You⌠Youâre not decent. Itâs rude to stare.â
âCome on. You got past anatomy diagrams just fine.â
Riddle opens and closes his mouth, speechless like a beached fish. Eventually, he manages to gather his coherency. âYouâre a tutor, arenât you? Whereâs your dignity?â
âNonexistent. I lied.â His head snaps over to view you, and he seems so scandalized by your admission that itâs almost comedic. âNo way Iâm studying to be an ob-gyn. Iâm not even in school.â
âWhat?! But youââ
âItâs fine. I looked the part, didnât I?â you joke, waving your hand about dismissively. âCâmon, mamaâs boy. Youâre going off to college. Itâs nothing like those stuffy anatomy courses.â
Riddle tries and fails to look at anywhere that isnât you, his eyes lingering on your chest to the space between your legs to the thigh garter and then to the ceiling. Heâs so red you think he might explode.
âYouâve been with a girl before, yeah?â
With lips pursed in a tight line, he shakes his head.
âSounds about right.â
âAnd youâre so experienced?â
You flash him a cheeky grin. âDonât worry about it, mamaâs boy.â
âIâm not a mamaâs boy!â
âNo? So you just let your mother treat you like a little baby at your grown age? You let her pick out sex tutors for you?â
âIââ He stops himself from speaking to mull over your questions. âIf itâs what she deems necessaryâŚâ
âBecause our biggest fear is sexually awkward you knocking up some girl at school, right?â
âI⌠I would never! Safe sex isââ
âVery important when youâre not trying to conceive. Good boy. See? You know your stuff.â
Riddleâs eyes narrow into vicious slits. You brush his scorching vitriol off and turn towards the board. Procuring a piece of chalk, you scrawl words on it: Birds and Bees 101. Wholly unamused, Riddle folds his arms across his chest.
âYour mother told me youâre gonna study medicine, so youâre probably familiar with everything already. And Iâm sure you know all about the baby-making process on a biological level.â You whirl to face him, your tits bouncing with the peppy motion. Riddle swallows thickly. âBut just to make sure⌠Letâs review.â
âR-Review? You donât meanââ
âWhatâs this?â Your hands close around your tits. Riddleâs enchanted with the way you squeeze themâthe way they depress under your fingers.
âUm⌠Ahem. Well⌠T-The breasts. Theyâre a type of glandular organ located on a womanâs chest, and theyâre made up of lots of tissue and fat. Thereâs the mammary glandâthatâs what produces milk. Oh, and then there are the areolas right around the nipples. Those areââ
âYou can call them what they are.â
Riddle blinks, shaken from his studious spiel. âW-What?â
âYou know the word, mamaâs boy.â
He flusters. âYes, Iâm aware. ButâŚâ
âNo harm in saying it.â You run your fingers over your nipples and giggle sweetly like a schoolgirl. âGo onâŚâ
He inhales a deep breath. âTheyâre tits,â he mumbles, desultory. âY-Your tits.â
You clap, beaming brightly. âWell done! Moving swiftly onâŚâ You run your hands down the expanse of your stomach, stopping just beneath your navel. âWhatâs here?â
âYour womb. O-Otherwise known as the uterus. Itâs where a baby grows over the course of nine months.â
âMhm. Good job.â
He pushes his glasses up his nose, clearing his throat. âThereâs more to your reproductive system than the uterus. Lots of parts. Important parts.â
âRight. But I donât need to quiz you on it. You obviously know your stuff.â
Again, your fingers inch lower until theyâre prodding at your folds. Riddleâs breath audibly hitches.
âAnd this?â
âYour vagina. Itâs whereââ
âWhatâs the other word?â
Riddle avoids your stare. âIt sounds so vulgarâŚâ
âSo what?â
âS-So there ought to be a term thatâs moreâŚflattering.â
âLike what?â You approach him and, with the grace of a swan, lift your leg onto the desk to give him a better view of yourself. Shamelessly, you dip your fingers inside to spread yourself. âA guy called it the honeypot once. That pretty enough for you?â
Riddle squeaks and flinches back in his chair, his face now even redder than it was before. âT-Thatâs fineâŚâ
âReally? Iâd have thought the implication in that one is much dirtier than calling it a pussy.â
It takes him a moment to connect the dots, but once he does he gasps. âAh. ThenâŚâ
You press inwards with your fingers, exaggerating a pornographic sigh. âYeah?â
âCan I⌠M-May I call it your flower?â
âSure.â His shoulders slacken with a flicker of relief. Your next words shatter that and his pride in one fell swoop. âThat oneâs not as special as you think, mamaâs boy. Iâve heard it allâevery type of flower you can think of.â
âEven a rose?â
âEspecially a rose.â His lips twist into a disappointed moue. You chuckle and add, âYou can call it a rose if you want. I donât mind.â
Riddle meets your eyes then, searching them for the joke. When one doesnât present itself, he relaxes. âAll right. Itâs a very pretty rose. SoftâŚâ
âAww. Thanks for saying so. Itâs softer inside, yâknow. See?â Spreading yourself wider, you angle your hips to bless him with the full view. âMy fingers slide right in. Wanna guess why?â
âB-Because the vagina naturallyââ He stops himself, his brows knitting together in contemplation. When he speaks next, itâs with a determined sort of conviction. âWhen youâre aroused, your rose produces a natural lubricant during sexual excitement.â
âMhm. We call that âfeeling good and getting wet,â Dr. Rosehearts.â
âYes. Y-Yes, I know that.â He eyes your pussy, a ravenous glimmer in his intelligent blue-greys. âAnd the wetnessâitâs supposed to make it feel better. To make insertion easier, I mean.â
âRight again.â You ease your fingers out but not before thrusting them deeper just so he can hear the sinful sounds. They shimmer with your essence, enticing in a forbidden way. âWhat about the other parts? How about this spot here?â You brush against the hood of your clit, circling it slowly.
Riddle watches, hopelessly spellbound. âThe clitoris.â
âIâm impressed. Most guys donât know about it.â
âReally?â
âReally.â
âBut itâs your most sensitive erogenous zone! Just how uninformed does one have to be to neglect such a crucial part to your sexual anatomy?â
âWoefully uninformed, Iâm afraid,â you mutter with a pout. Your fingertips drag your hood up to reveal that pretty, perky nub. âI think itâs dumb your mother wants me to talk you out of sex. Youâre going to college. Youâre an adult. Youâre free to do whatever you want.â
âIâŚâ Riddle frowns at that last line. âI have no interest in it. Besides, itâll only hinder my studies. If I really need it, Iâll just masturbate. Thatâs healthy every now and then, and it doesnât break any rules.â
âReally? No interest at all?â You shoot him a knowing look and run your tongue along your bottom lip. âBecause your dickâs telling a different story.â
Riddle sputters, embarrassed, and squeezes his thighs together. His hands fly to cover his lap. âThatâs because youâreââ He gazes at the floor. âBecause youâre so prettyâŚâ
Temporarily thrown off course, you gape at him. âWhat?â
âYouâre beautiful.â
Gathering the remnants of your mask, you piece it together and laugh. âNot the first time Iâve heard someone describe it like that.â
âNot just your pussy.â Your gaze snaps to his. He smiles, impish. âIâm sure you know what I mean, Teacher.â
You exhale a short laugh. âSomeoneâs suddenly confident.â
Riddle rises from his seat. His fingers close around your wrist, gently pulling it away from your clit. He moves around the desk to stand in front of you and then, before you can comprehend his intentions, heâs pushing you down onto the desk. You yelp at the sudden change in position, your eyes blown wide when he presses his clothed hard-on against your bare pussy.
âYouâre doing a poor job at dissuading me from wanting sex.â
âI wasnât trying to.â
âNot in that outfit.â He grabs at the meat of your thighs and parts them. âIf Mother knew you lied to herâŚâ
You shake your head at him. âPlease donât tell her. I⌠Iâm being serious. I need this money.â
âDesperately?â
Your lip curls into the beginning of a sneer. You hate feeling powerless more than anything, but the fiery glaze in his eyes is just as troubling. âIâm not going to beg.â
âI havenât asked for that yet.â
You roll your eyes. âNot funny. I agreed to teach you about sex. Weâre not actually doing it.â
âA shame.â
âYouâll find a nice girl at school. Donât lose hope, mamaâs boy. Lots of girls like the smart types whoâll give âem a lecture on biology and stuff.â
âI think you misunderstand. I donât want other girls.â
âOkay?â
âMy motherâs paying for a tutor and I desire you, so unless you want to leave here as a lying cheatâŚâ He hums, seeming awfully haughty to hold the only thing that tethers you to him above your head. âYou need the money, right?â
âYes. Sure, of course I do. Butââ You shift on the desk, silently horrified when he rocks against you. âWe canât. Your motherââ
âWerenât you the one saying I should live my life? That I have the freedom to do as I please?â
âThat doesnât meanâcome on; listen to yourself. You canât honestly think Iâd fuck you.â
âNo? And yet you came wearing this outfit, parading around the study with your pussy and tits out.â He glances past you at the window. âAnd you didnât even bother to close the curtains⌠How brazen.â
Your attempt to jerk away from him is made in vain. He pins you down onto the desk, one hand squeezing your breast, while the other works to fish himself from his trousers. Now hard and leaking, his cock rests against your stomach. Itâs not a terrible size. If anything, itâs perfect. Just right for your tastes.
âW-Wait! Itâs not safe. You canâtââ You inhale sharply, bucking up towards his hand when he presses his thumb against your clit. Biting your lip, you fix him with a glower. âIf you pay me⌠If you promise not to tell your motherââ
Riddle leans in close. âNo one needs to know. No one but us.â
Your eyes flit about the room. With a withering sigh, you submit to his touch. âYouâd better pull out in time.â
Riddle rolls his hips once and his cock drags along your folds. You hiss through your teeth at this new friction, a sinful delight more dizzying than any type of alcohol consumed in excess. âDo you want to be a mother?â
âWhat I want has nothing to do with you. Iâm justâoohât-trying to survive. You wouldnât know what thatâs like, so donât poke fun.â
Riddle hums, kneading your breast and rubbing you to the edge all at once. Itâs so very obviously his first time, his zealous nature trumping any sort of experienced technique. It still does the trick, though, sending little bolts of pleasure up your spine.
âMy mother wouldnât just choose anyone. Her standards are very high.â His eyes flick to your face, drinking in your expression as it shifts with restrained bliss. âSomehow youâve earned her approval.â
âLyingâll do that.â
âMaybe.â His fingers replicate the motions you did earlier, though with a singular objective in mind. Heâs so focused on succeeding in this endeavor that it makes him look so stiff. Under any other circumstances, youâd find it cute. âMother always knows whatâs best for me. Obviously youâve met her criteria if sheâs hired you.â
âSpoken like a true mamaâs boy.â Seeing as this is now your unavoidable fate, you reach up to touch his shoulders. He jolts, his initial glare softening. You tamp down another giggle and massage up and along his arms. âRelax a little. Donât rush so much.â
Or do. Letâs get this over with before your mother catches us.
Riddle traces two fingers along your labia. Heâs quiet as he takes all of you in, and when he sinks three fingers into your gooey heat his breath catches in his throat. âAre you⌠D-Do you feel good?â
You reach for his unoccupied hand and guide it to your clit. Riddle understands the suggestion well enough, for he massages you slowly. Sucking in another breath, you nod at him.
âNot bad. Youâre getting there.â
His neglected cock throbs at the praise, and so you wrap your fingers around it to give it the same amount of attention heâs currently giving you. Riddle grits his teeth at the contact.
âYou can move your fingers. Donât just focus on my clit.â
âAh. Right. Of course,â he babbles dumbly, so swept up in everything that you are, so very eager to please.
Youâre like a work of art pinned to his desk, a delicacy more forbidden than anything from the bakery. Sugary-sweet, adorned in skimpy ruche, youâre a temptation laid bare. Delicately, as if you might shatter, he curls his fingers to press up against your insides. Riddle watches you arch up towards him, your hand working his cock maddeningly slow and steady. It feels goodâbetter than anything he could have ever imagined.
His eyes trail from your lips to your tits to your pussy stretched around his fingers. âDo you have any plans for this summer?â
The sudden question catches you off guard. You were expecting something related to sex, not whatever this new shred of curiosity is. Still, that doesnât stop you from dragging him closer to the edge of ecstasy with every tug of your fist.
âWhy?â
âI⌠Iâd like to get to know you.â
âMe?â
âOf course. Youâre more than a body to me.â
âHow charming. I justââ You frown, unable to follow where heâs going with this. âWhy?â
âIsnât that obvious?â Even though he says it like itâs a fact, he looks shy. âI want to know you.â
âUh⌠Yeah⌠Okay.â
âYou donât believe me?â
âNot that⌠Itâs just hard to imagine you having any girl friends.â
Riddle rolls his eyes and grinds his thumb into your clit. You bite back a whine as his fingers pump in and out of you. âIs that space open or closed?â
âYou know which one.â
âYou could be the one to close it.â
You meet his eyes then. For a short minute, the two of you hold each otherâs stare. And then, breaking free from his hypnotic hold, you squeeze his length gently. He shudders, his lashes fluttering against his cheeks.
âAnd what about you? You excited for your first year?â
âMm, yeah,â he murmurs, rutting into your hand. His fingers spread you open, scissoring gently.
âJust make sure to take time for yourself. Have fun. Live.â
âWhat did you do?â
âWhat do you mean?â
âWhen you were at schoolâhowâd you manage?â
âI never went.â He opens his mouth to interject, but you beat him to it. âCouldnât afford it.â
âOhâŚâ
âItâs fine! Iâve got plenty of experience in other things. I donât need school for that.â
Riddle doesnât believe your feigned optimism for a second. âIf you couldâve gone, what would you have studied?â
You release his cock from your hold and reach up to pull his glasses from his face. Gingerly, minding the fragile frames, you set them aside. You lift your index to your lips, effortlessly coy. âItâs a secret.â
Before he can protest, you tap the hand at your cunt next. Riddleâs fingers, wet and shiny, slide out with a slick squelch. âI think you can do it.â
âWhat?â
âGo to school and study what you want. I believe in you.â
A wooden laugh tumbles from your lips. âThanks for the encouragement, mamaâs boy.â
âI have a name, you know.â
You smile easily. âYou want me to call you something else? How does âgood boyâ sound?â
Even though he tries not to let it show, his cock betrays his reticence with a small twitch. Heâs an open book. Not wanting to give you the satisfaction, he lines himself up instead. Your fingers slip down to spread yourself for him.
âS-SlowlyâŚâ you whisper, stumbling over your breath as the head of his cock presses inside. Shallow at first before more inches fill you.
Riddle heaves a shaky gasp, his eyes wide with amazement. âI⌠Iâm inside youâŚâ
âHowâs it feel?â âWarm. Soft. Snug. R-Really good.â He bows his head and digs his fingers into your hips. You think he has a dozen more adjectives on the tip of his tongue, each one just as fluffy as the last. âD-Do you feel good? It doesnât hurt?â
âIâm fine.â You wind your legs around his waist to pull him closer. Your hands come to rest upon his shoulders once more. âMove your hips.â
Riddle does just that. His pace is awkward and inexperienced, every motion unsteady and jerky, as he searches for the right rhythm. He falls into it surprisingly fast, and it isnât long until heâs smoothly rutting into you. You grab at his shirt, your breath coming in reedy huffs.
âGood. Youâhaaâgood. Youâre doing good.â Praise pours from your lips like a waterfall, plentiful and refreshing. It invigorates him, fills him with a confidence that wasnât there before.
The soft slap of skin on skin fills the room. You keep your voice in check, lest you lose yourself and alert Mrs. Rosehearts. Riddle seems to be doing the same, even though itâs obvious heâs struggling much more than you are. He worries his bottom lip between his teeth to suppress his groans.
âYou can touch me,â you whisper, petting his cheek. He blinks at you, his face aflame with a bright blush.
Nervously, he reaches for you and then pauses. Contemplation passes over his features. âWhat feels better? I want you toâno. I will make sure you cum. Iâve studied it, actually. I know how long it takes.â
âLook at you, doing your research like a diligent student. You want extra credit?â
Riddle chuckles and pinches your clit between two fingers. The rest of your teasing tapers off into a lewd squeal. âWhat was that about extra credit?â
âYouâre awfully bold for your first time.â
âIâm not clueless.â His hips press inwards, plastering you to the desk, and his cock brushes that special spot withinâthe spot that has you seeing stars, your every nerve tingling with pleasure. You choke around a delighted gasp. Riddle, feeling victorious, places his hand against your stomach, as if searching to feel his cock thrust up inside you. âWill I see you again after this?â
âIf your mother wants me to come back and give you another pointless lecture on celibacy and safe sex, sure.â
âNo, not that. Outside of this.â
âDonât you have friends youâd rather hang out with?â
âIâŚdo.â
âSo spend time with them.â
Riddle doesnât dignify that with a retort. With the way his eyes gloss over, you wonder just how many of these friends are within physical distance. The conversation stalls out into silence.
âYouâll make lots of friends at school. So many youâll probably forget all about me.â
Riddle yanks your hips to meet his, driving himself deeper into your pussy.
âA-And youâll find a nice girl to love if youâre looking for that kinda thing.â
âI am,â he confesses, breathless. âI want to get married andâmmhâstart a family one day⌠I want to study lawâbecome a lawyer⌠Mother thinks medicine suits me, but I canât agree. Law is fascinating. Itâs a perfect fit for me. Far better than medicine.â
You drag your thumb over your mouth, wetting it with your lipgloss, and then press it to his lips. The indirect kiss sends a tidal wave of arousal over him, darkening the tips of his ears in striking vermillion. You offer him a gentle smile while he recovers from that devastating flirt.
âIâll make sure to hire you as my lawyer if I ever get into legal trouble.â
âYouâd better not!â He laughs and shakes his head in amused disbelief. âBut if you do, Iâll be there for you. Always.â
âThanks, Riddle.â
Maybe I judged him too harshly. Heâs not so bad.
In that stuffy study, just as the late afternoon gives way to red-orange streaked across a purple-pink sky, Riddle fucks you against that desk in all manner of rhythms. Itâs when he finally picks up speed that you realize heâs nearing his end. You mirror his enjoyment, strung along by titillating touches and whispered words drenched in sweetness. Youâve lost track of how many times youâve reached rapture alongside him, your pussy now brimming with cum. Thereâs so much it leaks out of your slick hole when he draws away, only to burrow his cock deeper to stuff it back inside.
The room reeks of sweat and sex. You think, if not your disheveled appearance, the smell will definitely tell Mrs. Rosehearts all she needs to know.
âI love you,â Riddle murmurs, and youâre about to ask him what he meansâmaybe heâs caught up in the moment and doesnât realize what heâs sayingâbut then he lifts your legs up to fold you into a mating press. Coherent thoughts are knocked out of your head when he spills over, filling you up for the nth time that day. You shiver beneath him, eyes rolled back into your skull and tongue lolling out. You feel so stupid, fucked submissive by some inexperienced, upper middle class mamaâs boy. Which isnât even an insult with real heat to it, but in your hazy mind itâs all you can think of to describe him.
He grinds against you in the aftermath, panting from the exhilaration and adrenaline.Â
âWe need toâŚopen the window,â you mutter, your heart thumping wildly in your chest.
Riddle admires your fucked-out expression in his sex-drunk daze. He slides out just as he feels himself going flaccid. Cum drips onto the desk below. Briefly, you struggle to recall whether or not you took your birth control today.
Something to consider later. Definitely not right now when youâre still clinging to the vestiges of your orgasm.
â â â
Mrs. Rosehearts knocks on the door, opening it to find Riddle sitting at his desk, jotting notes and occasionally pushing his glasses up. Youâre standing at the blackboard, writing a list of the consequences of unplanned pregnancies. The room smells pleasantly of roses.
âPardon my intrusion.â
You gaze at her and smile, wearing the clothes you arrived in. Nothingâs amiss. Itâs perfectâthankfully. âWelcome back, Mrs. Rosehearts. Weâre just about finished here.â
âIs that right? I assume all went well?â
âVery well. Your sonâs a fast learner. Extremely talented.â
âI would expect nothing less.â She withdraws an envelope and hands it to you. âThank you again for explaining it in realistic terms. Of course I doubt that my Riddle will act senselessly while heâs away, but as his mother Iâm prone to worrying. Boys his age are so easily influenced.â
âO-Of course! Thatâs a very valid concern.â You force a chuckle.
If only she knew.
âYour pay is in that envelope. Should I ever require your assistance again, Iâll be sure to call.â
âRight⌠Thank you.â You hold it close to your chest. âIâm happy to help.â
You follow her out the door. She pauses to address Riddle. âDo continue reviewing your notes. Weâll convene for dinner in thirty minutes.â
âYes, Mother.â
Mrs. Rosehearts walks you to the gate. âI wish you luck in your studies. If I donât see you again at the clinic, have a pleasant summer.â
âThank you. You as well.â You smile, fidgeting slightly. A bead of sweat tracks a path down your leg from between cum-spattered thighs.
Finally! With this I can pay my rent and still have enough for a treat from the bakery.
Itâs worth it, or so you continue to tell yourself.
â â â
From the window, Riddle watches you make the walk to your car. He lifts his phone to fit you in the camera and snaps a secret photo. He continues to watch you until youâve driven off and turned the corner, disappearing from his sight.
A tiny smile tugs at his lips.
Within his phone, put under a password lock, a special photo album exists. Itâs filled with pictures taken from your social mediaâall of them. Every. Single. One. Heâs resourceful when he wants to be. He can play the parody of a tech genius when he sets his sights on something.
And youâre just perfect.

hiii!! i love your writing and i hope youâre doing well <3 i was hoping to request a melissa x reader with âcausalâ work crush between the two of them. reader is a very put together teacher during school hours but a trendy aesthetic person off campus. mel comes across reader at the grocery store and is astonished at the revealing alternative style and sexy tattoos. reader gets super nervous and shy once mel teasingly approaches. no one at work has ever seen her like this but especially not her crush melissa
oh wow, this one... nice. written as i procrastinate cleaning my house!
Personal and Professional
wc: ~2.4k
You grew up hearing from both of your parents that you should never mix the personal with the professional. So you compartmentalize. Youâve always done it. You kept school life away from home life when you could, and now you keep your work life away from your home life. Thatâs not to say that you arenât friends with your coworkers at school. Itâs just that itâs much easier to keep professional Y/N and personal Y/N separate.
And the personal and professional you are two entirely different people.
You see, at school, youâre âMiss Y/Nâ. You keep it all together. Youâre buttoned up, youâre conservative in your clothing style, and you strive to maintain that aura of professionalism that you see coming off of people like Barbara Howard. Youâre pretty damn good at it too. Youâre kind, you allow your coworkers to see small bits of your home life (âOh, Iâll probably just do some grocery shopping before laying on my couch for the entirety of the weekend⌠maybe Iâll go to the gym,â is your usual response when they ask what youâre doing over the weekend), and the teachers have all come to respect you once you settled into your position.
But once the school hours are over and you can let your hair down, both figuratively and metaphorically, you trade out your blouse and sweater or blazer for more form-fitting and revealing shirts, pants that arenât slacks, and you change your flats to your doc martens that youâve been rocking since the eleventh grade. You take out the clear stud and put in your nose ring, and exchange earrings different from the delicate hoops you wear to school. Your multiple tattoos show in your street clothes, and you love it.Â
Youâre not entirely sure how your coworkers would feel if they knew that this was how you presented yourself outside of the school, but it doesnât matter. Theyâre so used to seeing you all done up to teach that even if they did see you outside of school, they probably wouldnât recognize you. You sure as hell wouldnât go out of your way to say hello if you saw one of them outside of campus.
But then things start to change about six months into working at Abbott.
Shit. You have a thing for one of your coworkers- Melissa Schemmenti to be exact. Itâs a very casual and silly thing the two of you have going on, really. She flirts with you, you flirt with her; itâs all in good fun. You know that youâll never act on it though because you keep your many lives as far away from each other as possible, even going as far as grocery shopping a few streets over from where you know most of your coworkers go in order to not run into them. Youâve never had an issue with running into anyone outside of the school anyway- why would that change?
âWhat are your plans for the weekend, hot stuff?â Melissa flirts with you while youâre eating lunch. âAnd donât give me your usual answer⌠you gotta have more of a life than what you lead on, miss mysterious.â
You roll your eyes. âYou wish I was with you.â
She hums in lieu of an answer before asking you again, âWhat are your plans for the weekend?â
âHonestly?â you chuckle. âProbably some grocery shopping, I have a friend coming over tomorrow, and then Sunday is a day to grade and veg out on the couch while I catch up on some shitty reality tv.â
âSounds riveting,â the redhead jokes.
Well, what do you have going on?â
âNothinâ,â she grins. âI fully plan on staying in my Eagles sweatshirt and catching up on laundry and some chores- probably have some wine while Iâm at it. Care to join me on Sunday after I go to church?â Sheâs never asked you if you wanted to hang out outside of work before, and it throws you for a loop. You nearly choke on your salad.
âOi,â she huffs playfully. âI was just messinâ. I donât want to have to endure any of that shit reality tv in my house.â
âYeah,â you chuckle. âI wouldnât want you to have to sit through that either.â The two of you finish up your lunches and head back to your classrooms to deal with your monsters for the rest of the Friday.
âSee you Monday, babe,â Melissa winks at you as she closes the door to her classroom and locks it.
âOh, counting down already, I see,â you roll your eyes. âSee you Monday, babe.â
When you get home, you change out of your stuff work attire and into a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie. You change out your jewelry for the things you prefer. You fully plan on laying on your couch with a bottle of wine on this lazy Friday night, but when you get home you realize that you finished off your favorite white last weekend. With a sigh, you go into your bedroom to change into some nicer street clothes- you would rather be caught dead than wear sweatpants and a sweatshirt out in public. At the front door, you pull on your docs, and then youâre off to the grocery store.
If youâre there now, you decide itâs best to just get your grocery shopping for the week out of the way. You grab a cart and start perusing the aisles like you usually do.
You have a few things in your cart when you find yourself in the aisle with the wines and beers, and youâre currently pouring over the selections. What would your friend want? Probably just some Yuengling. So you throw a case of that into your cart before turning to look for the wine that you love. Little do you know, Melissa is turning her cart down the aisle that youâre currently in, and she recognizes you almost immediately.
You look so starkly different than sheâs used to seeing you. If sheâs being honest, sheâs a little thrown off with your outfit. Sheâs so used to seeing you in your work attire, your hair either in a neat, low bun or down. But here? This look is entirely different from what she was expecting you to be done up in outside of work. She of course knew that you wouldnât always be dressed like a teacher, but wow. She was not expecting this. Youâre in a pair of tighter, ripped black jeans, you have a tank top on, and your hair is thrown up into a stylish messy bun with a few pieces strategically pulled out to give off the appearance that itâs an effortless look (it is for you). Is that a tattoo on your shoulder that she sees? And a tattoo on your arm? How has she never noticed that before? You have a cartilage piercing, bold earrings for your first and second, and⌠is that a nose ring? She didnât even know you had your nose pierced. If Melissaâs honest with herself, it only makes you that much more attractive.
You turn, satisfied with your decision, and pop the bottle into the top of your shopping cart. You make eye contact with the redhead that is practically drooling over the sight of you. You give her a shy wave, but you donât dare to interact. Donât mix the personal from the professional. The woman snaps out of her own trance and waves back with a curious look.
You continue down the aisles, and you think that youâre in the clear from Melissa- you acknowledged her, thatâs all you had to do. She goes on her way too, but the two of you run into each other again during checkout.
âHey there, hot stuff,â she winks at you as she starts putting her groceries up on the conveyor belt. âNever pegged you as a beer girl.â
âHey,â you say softly, shyly. âIt- itâs actually for my friend.â That also throws Melissa for a loop. At school, youâre so confident, quick to make a remark. But now, you sound like you have something caught in your throat, and you nervously tuck one of the loose strands of hair behind your ear, as if that would make you more professional looking. âIâve never seen you around here before?â
âI usually go to the one that everyone else goes to, but they were out of my wine, soâŚâ she gestures to it before putting it up on the belt. âIt was worth the extra ten minute drive though if it means I get to see you.â She winks at you with those emerald green eyes of her, but you donât reciprocate. You nervously worry your lip between your teeth, as if you have no idea what to say.
Melissa understands your hesitation and shrugs. The two of you stand in line together awkwardly. Sheâs rung up, and as she leaves, you call a gentle, âHave a good weekend, see you Monday.â
She turns and blows a kiss your way, waving flirtatiously before leaving.
Your weekend is nice. Your friend comes over, you go out to the clubs, and you almost forget about the encounter that you had with the hot redheaded second grade teacher.
The small break from work is over all too soon, and you find yourself somewhat dragging yourself into Abbott on Monday, but duty calls. Youâre back to wearing your lightly colored blouse and a sweater over top to cover the tattoo that you didnât feel like putting makeup over today, youâre back in your dress pants and flats. You didnât even bother to do your hair, just simply brushing it and letting it cascade over your shoulders instead.
You enter the staff lounge and itâs empty, as it always is. Youâre always the first one in. Whoever comes next is always a mystery, but today, itâs Melissa Schemmenti. Of course it is. Without anyone else there to buffer, you know she is absolutely going to bring up your meeting on Friday night.
âHey there, gorgeous,â the redhead says suavely. âHave a nice weekend?â
âYeah, babe,â you shoot out. The coffee pot dings. âYou want some?â
âYou know I always do,â she sighs out as she makes a move for the cabinet with the mugs inside. She grabs hers before sauntering over to you. The second grade teacher hands you the mug before cozying up to you.
âFor you,â you roll your eyes as your pour the scalding hot liquid into her cup.
âThanks, babe,â she smirks and winks. âSo⌠when were you goinâ to tell me about this little number?â she rests a gentle hand on your shoulder- the one with the tattoo.
âWhat do you mean?â you chuckle.
âThat tattoo,â she licks her lips.
âI forget itâs there,â you roll your eyes. âYoung Y/N mistakes.â Not true at all. You love that tattoo, and most of your street clothes show it off.Â
âItâs sexy,â she tells you lowly. âKinda like the ear spike and the nose ring I had no idea you had.â
âIâm a different woman outside of school, babes,â you tell her, smirk evident as you start to fix your own coffee. âDidnât realize I had to tell you about it all.â
âYou donât,â she shrugs. âIâll find it all out myself⌠little miss alt girl.â
âIn your dreams,â you fire out, and you get pretty close to her.
âOh, every night,â she challenges you and moves even closer. At this point, the two of you are nose to nose.
And wow, it wouldnât take much more for you to-
âGood morning!â Janine bursts in through the door, not knowing what sheâs walking into.
You and Melissa couldnât jump away from each other faster. The young, energetic teacher starts to ramble on all about her weekend, and your other colleagues start to make their way in. When it comes time to watch the news, Melissa settles herself in next you. Her hand finds its way to your shoulder, and she starts to trace the outline of you tattoo. Then, you feel the redheadâs hand make its way to your arm, where the other tattoo is that she saw. You didnât know she saw that one too. She lets her fingers lazily trace around that one as well. All of your coworkers are too enamored with whatâs happening on the screen to really notice, and Melissaâs green eyes are trained on the television as well. You could not be further from whatâs happening on the screen. All you can think of is Melissa, and the things that sheâs doing right now are driving you crazy.
Soon though, the kids will start to trickle in, and you know you have to get to your classroom. So you head out, a flirtatious smile and wink thrown the second grade teacherâs way before you close yourself into your room. You take a deep breath, and get ready for your day.
As youâre about to make your way out of your classroom, you hear heeled boots clinking along the linoleum floor, and you know those boots belong to the redhead thatâs been on your mind all day.
âHey, babe,â you says, back turned to the door, but you know itâs her. âCome to walk me out?â
The clicking gets louder, and before you can even think, Melissa has you pinned up against your desk. You can feel the corner of it digging into your back, and then you donât because all you can feel are her lips on yours. Instinctively, you kiss her back. Itâs better than you had been dreaming of. And then she pulls back, wipes away the lipstick she left smudged, wipes her own mouth to fix her own lip, and then winks at you.
âIâm done pretending that all this flirting we do is harmless,â she says once sheâs righted herself. âYou, me, dinner tonight at The Capital Grille. 6, sharp.â
You donât know what else to do other than nod.
âAnd donât come dressed in your teacher outfit,â she instructs. âI want the babe that you are⌠Ear spike, nose ring, tattoos out.â
With that, she turns on her heel and makes her way out of your room. As sheâs making her way down the hall, you hear her call over her shoulder, âDonât miss me too much!â
So much for not mixing the personal with the professional.

Coming back to the old house
The Babysitter Serie: Pt I
Pairings: Agatha Harkness x Rio Vidal x F!Maximoff!Reader, Wanda Maximoff x Vision
Summary: When you broke up with your girlfriend you decided to come back to places you know by your heart.
Warnings: Not proofreaded,
Wc: 1,5k
A/n: Nothing really happen here cuz i didn't had idea what i can add more but everything need to start somewhere.
Your girlfriend, well, now ex-girlfriend, cheated on you. You caught her red handed when you came back earlier from a job interview, than you told her. After packing all your things you left her apartment and pulled out your phone searching for your mothers number. She didnât answer. You called three, maybe four times but all your calls got rejected. You decided to call your father, he was never answering your calls so it wasnât surprising he did not answer now. When leaving the calls app, you saw that one number. Before you knew you were calling her. Two signals were enough.Â
âSweetheart?â Hearing this voice makes you let out sobs.Â
âHi, uhm, can..go to my home and tell my mother to call me back?â Tears falling down your face. All you needed now was a hug from your mother.Â
âShh, sweetie, chill out. I am going to Wanda, and you need to take deep breaths.â When she was saying it, you could hear sounds of leaving the house. â Oh.. I think there's no one home.â More sobs leaving your mouth.
âShit.. I- Thank you ms. Vidal.â You said wanting to hang up.
âI told you to just call me by mine name.âÂ
After a few seconds of silence she started talking again.
âYou can tell me what happened. Only if you want.â And you told her.Full story with breaks to take deep breaths. She didn't need to be around for you to feel more comfortable and safe than you were a few minutes ago. âMhmm, I'm gonna get Agatha and Nicholas and we will come for you.â
âYou don't need-â
âY/n.âÂ
âOkay⌠Thank you..â
âNo problem sweetheart.â
Rio Vidal and Agatha Harkness, family house neighbors. They bought a place next to your family when you were sixteen. At that time you saw them a few times. Your first thought was how pretty and hot they are. Not even a year later they had their new house ready to move in. That was the first time you saw their little son, Nicholas Scratch. It was weird for you, why does Nico have a different last name, but soon later you learned that they couldn't decide which last name he should have or which one should come first. They decided to name him Scratch after their rabbit, SeĂąor Scratchy
For the first few weeks you didn't really talk, but when your parents, Wanda Maximoff and Jarvis âVisionâ Stark, invited them for dinner, you started forming some kind of friendship. Your mother didn't really like them, but you saw them as pretty cool people. Soon after you learned they are witches as your mother and younger brother. Well, you kind of were a witch too but you werenât as good as your mother or Billy. That was also the main reason Wanda never really helped you with your powers.Â
As you were in high school you started spending more time in your neighbor's house than in your own. All your parents cared for were Billy and Tommy. Your younger sibling. You were often ignored, not talking about how many times they missed something important even though you asked them to attend. But Agath or Rio were always there. When you told them for the first time how Wanda missed one of your school plays, they promised either of them would be there for you. You started bonding with Nicholas too by going out on the walks with him and playing many games.Â
At some point Agatha was the one to teach you how to use your, not so strong, magic. Her touches on your skin never failed to make you shiver, and the looks Rio was always giving you made your heart always stutter.Â
When you were leaving for college, you realized you felt more for them than you should. Going to another city allowed you to forget about those forbidden feelings, you even met your ex that you fell for. You promised them you would write to them but you never did. It was easier to avoid those feelings they were making you feel. Calling either of them was so embarrassing to you. You ghosted all their texts and now you called them on a random day.Â
After 2 years of college you decided to abandon it and go to work, well, it was your ex's idea but you never could find any job. You and Kate met at college. She was older, and also first to talk to you and confess. She wanted you to move in with her so you did. Not even 3 months later she started saying how useless you are if you canât even find a job. Now you know why she never wanted you home.Â
âYou really didn't need to come here. I Could have taken the train with my spare money.â You said after Agatha and Rio hugged you.Â
You sat in the back seat, next to Nico. He only took your hand and hugged it then fell asleep again.Â
âYou called for a reason.â Rio said first.Â
âBesides I don't think you would be able to go on the train judging how you look.â Said Agatha, concentrating on the road.Â
âAgatha.â Rio slapped her arm. âWe care about you sweetheart, we are friends right?
You only nodded looking out of the window.Â
After a long ride and not so long talks you arrived at your small city. Nicholas sleeping on your knees. He crawled on them somewhere in the middle of the ride. You took your things and after thanking Agatha and Rio for the hundred times, you walked to the doors of your own house. You grabbed the door handle.Closed. So you knocked. And knocked. And your father opened doors. We had a fancy suit on him, his blue eyes piercing through you.
âYou don't need to pretend to be human, it's just me dad.â You said with a joking tone but with a serious face.
âWhat are you doing here?â That was the first word he said to you.
âYou wonât even let your own daughter in?â
âSorry, yeah, come in Y/n.â He moved aside so you could walk in. Even took your bag. âMe and your mother just came back from the Tonys party.Â
âThat's why you couldn't even pick up the phone.â You said sarcastically and wanted to roll your eyes, but your mother walked to the room at the same time
âBaby, what are you doing here?â She looked more surprised than Vision.
At first you stayed silent and hugged your mother. After a few seconds you started talking, but you couldn't tell them everything. You didn't tell them most of the story, as much as you needed them , needed your mother arm around you, you don't feel that emotionally close to them to tell all things that happened. So you shortened it to how Kate cheated on you and that you don't have a place to stay now.Â
It was always like that. You spend most of your childhood and teenhood in your room or your neighbors house because your own parents were often forgetting about you, patronizing your younger brothers.Â
âOhh baby, Iâm sorry. I'm gonna prepare a guest room for you⌠Your room is now Williams room.â Wanda petted your head leaving you with your father.Â
âY/n!â You heard Tommy's voice and soon after two bodies were hugging you.Â
After spending time with your brothers, not like you had any choice. They decided you will sit with them and talk, and maybe play on playstation. By playing together they meant you would sit and watch them play. Last time you saw Billy and Tommy was more than a year ago. You had a big argument with Wanda and Vision back then. You invited them to dinner with your ex-girlfriend. You canât even remember why you started to argue, for sure it was something stupid like always. But this time you stopped talking. Few times you wanted to send a message to your mother, but Kate was always faster to say about how badly they treated you and you don't need them.Â
After Wanda made boys go to wash and sleep, you could finally have some alone time. You didn't think you would ever again sleep under your parents roof, but here you are. You were quietly listening to music, soft sounds always were helping you to fall asleep, but soon music stopped when you started getting notifications. Reading the first of them made your heart stop for a while.
Rio Vidal made group chat with you and Agatha Harkness
Rio: Hi sweetheart :D
Rio: We hope we can back in touch, we missed you
Agatha: Nicholas missed you
Rio: We and Nico missed you
Agatha: Rio and Nico*
Rio: I'm gonna kill you.
You: I missed you too
You: Sorry I ghosted you for⌠such a long time
You: Life was kinda hard
Rio: Itâs okay dear, college is big step
You: Yeah, but it wasnât fair to youÂ
Rio: Leave it
Rio: Why donât we meet tomorrow?
Rio: We could talk about everything
You: Why did Agatha stop replying?
Rio: She's pretty busy now
Rio: Well, what will you say?
Rio:Â Wanna meet?
Rio: Tomorrow, at our place, maybe 7? or 8?

Secret Underneath Part 6 (Steddie X Plus Size Reader)
A/N: No cliffhanger this time, I promise <3.
Warning: Older (Mid thirties) Sugar Daddies Steve and Eddie/ Young (Early to mid 20s) Baby Fem Plus Size Reader, No smut in this one today, ladies and lads. I didn't feel like it worked with this chapter. I was going to make this one long chapter but I thought it better to split it :)
ANGST, Y/N confronts them about the events of the last chapter. Insecurities get in the way of them and that is explored a lot more in this chapter with mentions of their dads as well as Gina hurting them. She is sullying their image by saying lies (mentions verbal abuse and comments on how the plus size reader is "probably being used" by them because of how she looks) , she does have an incident at a bar with a guy being a dick, they defend her.
Word Count: 4853
Series here/ Donate to Me :)
You broke a rule.Â
You went on Google and searched for their lawyerâs information through news outlets spouting anything they could in regard to this case. After finding what you needed, you charged into the building and past a secretary who was shouting for you to come back as you opened the door to a conference room where many sets of eyes including their shocked expressions landed on you.Â
âExcuse me, gentlemen, but I need a moment alone with these boys for a moment.â
âIâm sorry, Mr. Wilson, she just stormed right past meââ
âNo, no. Itâs alright, Crystal. Um, letâs take a breather and weâll be back in a moment.â
As soon as everyone had filed out, your angry eyes burned into them as you slid your phone across the table.Â
âThat thing hasnât stopped going off since Gina released your names and quite frankly Iâm afraid to look at it.â
âHow did you find out where we were?â, Steve asked as he rose to his feet.
âI googled your lawyerâs name.â
âWell, so much for that promise.â, Eddie sassed as he leaned back in his chair.Â
âAnd so much for your promise to take care of me!â, you screamed not caring if anyone heard. âDid you really fucking think that I could stay out of this?! Did you think after what she said people werenât going to wonder and dig into why I was with you at that party?!â
âYou wanted to go and we warned you of the risks of being seen with us.â
âDonât you dare do that! Donât you fucking dare place blame on me! I donât care about being seen with you or if people know that weâre together! What I care about is my job, those kids, and you two!! How can I properly help and protect myself if I donât have all the facts?! Do you know what sheâs saying? Sheâs saying you two promised to take care of her if anything ever happened. That you were verbally aggressive with her and--â
âYeah, Y/N, weâre aware of sheâs claiming.â, the mogul growls. âSince youâre doing your own research did you go on her social medias? Oh, a lot of fun material there. Now that a fucking judge allowed her to talk about us sheâs been posting nonstop about how Eddie would demean her and make her feel ugly. That I apparently offered her money to get plastic surgery to make her look âperfectâ.â, he sarcastically laughs.Â
âYou should have told me.â
âBecause you think we did what she claims?â
âNo, Eddie! Fuck, so I can prepare. What if parents suddenly feel like I canât teach their kids because of the company I keep? What if the school decides that my association with you isnât worth the attention? Now that this has come to light I need to be aware of whatâs going on!â
Neither man said a thing infuriating you more.Â
âDid you not tell me because you thought I wouldnât want to be with you? Or did you think Iâd hurt you like she did?â You laugh as you shake your head. âJesus. I thought you two were different but youâre just like every other scared little boy. I thought I had given you enough reason to trust me but I guess not.â
âYeah so why donât you fucking leave then, you little brat.â
You werenât sure if they saw it in your eyes but you definitely felt your heart break. Wrapping your arms around yourself, you back away towards the door.Â
âIâm so stupid.â
When your teary eyes met theirs, you could tell Steve regretted his words but he couldnât take them back. They couldnât take any of this back. Furiously, you reach into your pocket and throw their apartment key across the table before leaving the way you came.Â

To look like the woman they thought would be equal to them and their status. Sheâs the complete opposite of what they wanted me to be so dating, or excuse me, being friends with her makes them look good.â
***
You wiped the tears that fell with your knee as you browse Daddies on your computer. Your phone was still dinging constantly so you kept it hidden in your bedside table drawer. Since winter break had started you didnât have to deal with work and for that you were thankful.Â
Your identity hadnât been officially confirmed but it seemed to be common knowledge at this point; everyone knew it was you.Â
Not wanting to be alone, you ran home into your parentâs open arms.Â
âBaby! Are you ok? Whatâs going on? Tell us everything.â
âIâm so stupid, mom.â, you cried.
âNo, youâre not, honey. Come on. I made some coffee. Letâs sit down and talk.â
You told them everything minus the exact way you met them but you did tell them that you had been dating them both and how much you cared about them. When you were met with nothing but love and zero judgement, you cried harder.Â
Having fully settled in, you felt yourself getting antsy. After everything, you didnât want a new relationship, just something casual but after having been with the guys you felt yourself cringing more and more at the stupid flirting that hit you.Â
ââSup, pretty girl? Fuck your gorgeous. Wanna suck my cock?â
âHey babe. You got an attitude? I bet I can fuck it out of you.â
âWhat are you doing, Y/N?â
Your head straightened at the message from Mogul/Rockstar. You hadnât heard from them in over two weeks. What were they doing on this site? You couldnât help the jealousy that flowed through you even though technically you were on the site first.Â
2:13am:Â What do you want, Steve?
2:14am: I want an answer to my question. What are you doing on this site again?
2:15am:Â What are YOU doing on here?! And why do you fucking care? You told me to leave remember?
2:17am:Â Weâve been calling you for the past couple of weeks but you donât answer. We got worried. Steve thought maybe we could reach you through here but I thought naw. She wouldnât get back on here so fast. Guess we were wrong.Â
2:20am:Â Donât you dare, Eddie. Donât you turn this around on me. You have no idea what Iâve been through! I still canât believe you didnât talk to me. You really expected me to sit at my apartment while you handled all this alone. Did you really think she wouldnât pull me into your thing?â
2:21am:Â Now because of all the secrecy I canât help but think what Iâm hearing is true!
2:22am: Like what?Â
2:25am:Â Answer. Like what?
2:26am:Â That you only dated me so it seems like you didnât want her to be the âideal womanâ.
You hear your phone vibrate against the drawer itâs nestled.Â
2:28am: Answer the phone.
2:28am:Â No.
2:29am:Â Now, Y/N. We need to talk.
2:30am:Â Oh now you want to talk!? Go fuck yourselves!
2:30am: Mogul/Rockstar has invited you to a video chat!!
2:31am: CurveybabywAttitude declined your invitation to video chat.Â
2:32am: Y/N. Answer the fucking phone.Â
2:38am:Â Y/N, sweetheart, please.
2:44am: BabyâŚ
2:44am: PleaseâŚ
2:45am: We love you.Â
2:45am:Â So much.
Uh oh! It looks like this Baby can no longer receive messages from Mogul/Rockstar! This means you have either been blocked or the Baby has deleted their account.Â
###################
âJesus what assholes.â, your best friend sighs as she takes a sip from her glass. âIf they loved you then why did they push you away?â
âI donât know, My. Letâs stop talking about them and dance!â
To get your mind off everything and let go, you met up with your best friend who took you to a new bar that had been built while you were away from home. Dressed in your tightest black dress and black heels, you grabbed your own drink and danced away the pain.Â
Your friend took photos, tagging you together with men in the background casually touching your arm or waist. Your limbs found their way around a cute boy you had been talking casually to and allow him to kiss you. You hated the taste, missing Eddie and Steve even more but you pushed down the feeling as you pulled him tighter against you.Â
âTake me home.â, you slurred, making the young man immediately jump to his feet. When you tried to do the same you fell backwards.Â
âWhoa, Y/N. Maybe, you should let me take you home.â
âNaw, Mya. I-I-I Mâfine.â, you assured as you lightly pushed her to the side and stumbled out the front door. When you tripped again the man wrapped your arm around his neck and began leading you to his car. âWaitâWait. IâmâŚI need a minute.â, you whine as you take a seat on the brick wall behind you.
âCome on, baby. You can rest at my place.â, the man cooed in your ear causing you to cringe. âLook we donât even have to go. We can just fuck in my car real quickââ
âOh, thatâs romantic.â
As you stood up and started to walk away, he grabbed your wrist a bit to roughly and in return, you smacked his cheek before stumbling to the concrete.Â
âOw! Fucking bitchââ As the man began to step forward, someone intercepted, abruptly grabbing his collar and lifting him off his feet.Â
âEddie, let it go, man. Not right now.â, Steve whispers before kneeling down beside you to try and help you up.Â
âGet out of my sight.â, the rockstar growls, pushing him away from you.Â
âY/N, stop. Iâm just trying to help you standââ
âI donât need your fucking help!â, you shouted as you shoved his hand away. âI donât need anything from you!âÂ
Trying to push up onto your knees, you became dizzy and fell over again causing Steve to try and steady you while blocking your shoulder from scraping the wall beside you. Your hair was blocking your face but when they heard you sniffle, Eddie crouched down to balance on his heels and tenderly reached out to move some of it behind your ear.Â
âI did everything you asked⌠I didnât push when it came to your past or dig into your information online. I-I-I respected the anon-ymity and privacy when we first met and took a leap of faith going to that party with you. I flew to visit you anywhere you were and didnât complain when you were gone for weeks at a time. I made myself vulnerableâŚfor youâŚbut stillâŚyou donât trust me.â
âY/N, sweetheart, we are so sorryââ
âI want to go home, please, Daddy.â
The way you said that shattered them in two. Just in your voice alone they could hear how much pain you were in yet even in your inebriated state you still yearned for them. Selfishly, it gave them hope.
âY/N, sweetie! There you are.â, your best friend shouts in relief as she runs to you and helps you to your feet. âGet the fuck away from her. Havenât you done enough damage?!â
âWe just want to talk to her.â
âFuck you! You had your chance to talk andââ
âMya, please. Sleepy.â, you whine.Â
When she tries to lead you away from them towards her car, you stumble over your feet again but Eddie swiftly catches you and lifts you into his arms.Â
âWeâll help you get her to your car.â
âWhy? So you know which one is mine and follow me back to her house?!â
âNo, so we can help you get her situated and back home so she can rest.â, Steve growled.Â
Mya blinks, taken a back slightly by their protective demeanors over you. After taking a moment, she finally nods and guides them towards her vehicle, watching carefully as they place you in the passenger seat. The mogul buckles your seatbelt and gently puts your bag in your lap.
Your half-lidded eyes scan his worried face as your head lulls towards him.Â
âMânot her.â
âWho, honey?â
âGina.â
Flashing you a soft smile, he begins to reach out to pet your head before forcing himself to stop and rise to his feet.
âWeâre staying at the hotel by the highway; room 118. When she wakes up tomorrow, if you could tell her that, weâd appreciate it.â, Eddie conveys as his sad eyes stay on you.Â
âYour fuckers, you know that?â, Mya shouts their way as they start to leave. âLike so much so that I donât even know where to begin. She used to call me every other day and talk about these new guys she was seeing. She never told me your full names but she told me everything else. âOh Mya, they are so sweet and funny. Steve is amazing at his job and works to hard to make sure everything gets done while still being able to be there for me. I love watching Eddie play on stage. He gets so into the songs and his face lights up when he hears the fans singing along. Falling asleep in their arms is my new favorite place. I finally feel safe.ââ
âWhen the news dropped, I called her but she didnât answer. I wasnât worried at the time because the way she described you, I thought âThankfully, they have her and she has them.â Then she came home and told me about you expecting her to hide in her apartment with zero information on what was happening. How you yelled at her and called her a fucking brat when she called you out.â
âOh, and the icing on the cake? You tell her you love her for the first time over a dating website AFTER ALL THIS BULLSHIT YOU PUT HER THROUGH! Holden wore his asshole behavior out in the open for all to see. You made her believe you were different, leading her on before breaking her heart. After the stuff I read, Iâm starting to believe Gina Frost.â
Both men absorbed what your best friend was saying, different emotions painting their features before finally landing on anger; not at her but themselves.Â
âYour right.â, Steve replied in a sullen tone. âWe fucked up. Hell, we did more than fuck upâŚâ
âWeâve never cared about anyone the way we do her and that terrifies us. Not just because of our status or who we are even though thatâs why Gina used us butâŚâ, Eddie added. âThe men underneath the fame and money are incredibly flawed.â
âGina made us afraid of her hurting us but our own personal bullshit made us afraid of hurting her.â
âSo this is better?â, Mya asked.
âMyâŚwhereâŚwhere your phone?â, you slurred as your hand lazily reached in her direction.
âY/N, Iâm taking you back to your momâs, honey, you donât know need to call them.â
âNoâŚnot momâŚEddieâŚSteveâŚI need to make dem come back. They were here anâ anââŚâ
âHow about you call them tomorrow morning, ok? Itâs really late andââ
âI donât want dem to leave again. MyaâŚpleaseâŚâ
âHey, hey sweetheart, weâre right here. We havenât gone anywhere.â Tears start to run down your cheeks again and the rockstar cups your face in his hand. âWeâre right here and weâll be here when you wake up. Just let Mya, take you home and get you in bed. Tomorrow you can call us and weâll talk then alright?â
After you nod, Eddie adjusts your body again before closing the door.Â
âYou guys should get going.â
âDo you really love her?â, your best friend asks.
âYes.â
Again, Mya takes a moment to gather her thoughts as her eyes shift between your now sleeping frame and them.Â
âHer parents house isnât far. You can follow me there.â
***
âWhy are they here?â, your father asks in an annoyed tone as he eyes the men up and down.Â
âItâs ok, Mr. Y/L/N. They just wanted to help get her situated and then theyâll be on their way.â, Mya answers in equal measure.Â
âIs her room up here?â, Eddie inquires as he gestures towards the stairs.Â
âWhy donât you come with us so you can get her changed into something comfier.â, Steve follows when your friend nods.Â
âWhy? Youâre her whatevers right?â
âI donât think it would be appropriate right now for us to do that.â
âI can help you.â, your mom responds out of nowhere. âCome on, gentlemen.â
After they get to your room, your mother turns on your bedside lamp as Eddie gently places you down on your bed. Taping the rockstars shoulder, she hands him an oversized shirt with your college insignia on it and some shorts.Â
âMaybe you shouldâŚâ
âI trust you, Mr. Munson. Plus Iâm right here.â Her eyes studiously watch them as both boys work to change you out of your tight garment doing everything they could to not have to look at your body. Steveâs palm carefully cradled your head to make sure they didnât jostle you around too much as you soundly slept.Â
âDo you have a washrag or wipe or something for her makeup?â
Her head tilts at his question, impressed he even thought of that. Disappearing into your restroom, she came back with wet wipes, and Eddie thanked her as he took one and gently cleaned your face.
This was a bit harder to accomplish without moving you as your face scrunched and you whined.Â
âSteveâŚstopâŚâ
âThatâs it, sweetheart. Blame him. That way if I donât do this correctly it will be his fault.â, he teased making you sleepily giggle.Â
âThank you.â
âYouâre welcome.â, Eddie whispers.
âThank you, maâam, for letting us do this. We just wanted to make sure she got here safely.â
âHm. You wanted to make sure she got back home in one piece but didnât think to do that when it came to all this chaos you brought her into?â, you mom scolded as she folded her arms.Â
âWe did warn herââ
âNo Mr. Harrington. You may have warned her about your lifestyle but you didnât do anything to protect her when the fallout of that lifestyle presented itself. Holden âwarnedâ her about what life in New York would be like but when things got hard he abandoned her instead working with her. Like him, you left her alone.â
Nodding, their heads hung as they began to head towards the door before stopping.Â
âIâm afraid.â, Eddie announces. âMy mom died when I was young, my dad went to jail, people around me told me Iâd never amount to anything, and then our ex did what she did. When we met Y/N, fuck, I thought she was perfect⌠and that scares me. I donât want to lose her but I also donât want to be the reason that spark inside of her dies.â
âSeems like a lose/lose, Eddie. But let me ask you something⌠what if your relationship with her had a happy ending? What if she didnât hurt you like your ex and you donât hurt her like people in your life?â She smiles softly as she pats his shoulder. âItâs a risk, boys, but you just need to decide who is worth taking that risk for. Youâre more than welcome to stay in our spare bedroom if you would like.â
####################
When you woke up the next morning, you had a splitting headache, thankful that your pain reliever was still in your drawer by your bed. The sound of soft breathing startled you a bit and when you leaned over your bedframe, you were surprised to see Eddie asleep on your floor using his jacket as a pillow. Steve had placed himself in the reading chair you had in the corner with his head leaning against the wall.Â
You didnât realize how much you missed them till you saw their faces and you took the opportunity to refamiliarize yourself as your eyes scanned over them. The mogul was in jeans and a polo making you smile softly while silently missing the sleek suits that hugged him perfectly. The rockstar was still dressed the same as he usually was but his whole demeanor even while sleeping seemed heavy.Â
Your heart broke for them until the last couple of weeks caught up with you and you remembered why you were here.Â
Reaching for one of your pillows, you threw it their way, hitting Eddieâs chest before it bounced and hit Steveâs lap.Â
âThe fuck?â, he grumbled as he rubbed his eyes.Â
âThe fuck indeed. Why are you both here? How did you even know where I was?â
âYour best friend was posting pictures of you and tagging your location on Instagram. You werenât answering your phoneââ
âYeah, Steve, for a reason. That doesnât give you the right to come down here.â
âThank God we did because some asshole was harassing you and Mya was having trouble getting you to her car to take you home.â
âNo, Eddie. You playing hero doesnât absolve you of what you did. You have no idea what Iâve been through!â
âWe tried to callââ
âOh, fuck you both!â As you start to get up to yell at them, a sharp sting runs through knee causing you to wince and sit back down.Â
âShit. Didnât see that last night. Um, do you have a first kit or anything thing?â
When you donât answer, the mogul goes on the hunt himself as Eddie kneels in front of you to look at the scrape on your knee.Â
âYeah, you fell on the concrete outside of the bar with some asshole trying to⌠I told him to fuck off.â Sitting on the bed beside you, Steve opens the little white box and starts to open a Band-Aid before his friend stops him. âDude, you have to clean it first. Itâs like youâve never been in a fight before. Gimme this.â, he chuckles lightly as he takes the box and pulls out the antiseptic.
âYou donât have to do this. Iâm not⌠I donât belong to you anymore.â
His movements only halt for a second before Eddie continues taking care of you.Â
âI donât mind doing this. I like taking care of you.â, he murmurs. âUnless you want me to stop.â
âI donâtwant you to but I didnât want you to cast me aside either.â
âWeââ
âDonât say you didnât, Steve, because you did.â
âWe did.â His response surprised you as you turned your head in his direction. âWe talked to your mom last night. Sheâs a very wise woman.â, he smirks as he watches Eddie continue his task. âY/N, I worked so hard to get where I am and I donât just mean taking over my dadâs company and doing the deals I do. When I was growing up, I was never enough for either of my parents but especially my father. In his eyes, I could always be just a little bit better.â
âI could shorten my time by one more second in the pool or get one more minute on the court. My grades could have been one point higher or I could have gotten three grand more out of a deal. He wanted me to be perfect but I learned after I graduated high school that bar was always changing.â When his eyes finally met yours, you saw the pain behind them. âGina knew all this⌠thatâs why sheâs saying that about me. She knows it hurts meâŚpeople thinking Iâm like my father.â
Eddie finishes placing the Band-aid on your skin and leans back against the wall across from you.
âMy dad was a dickâŚto me and my mother. He cut us down all the time verbally but after she died it got worse. He would tell me I was stupid and a freak just like the people in our town. I left my house with more bruises than I could count on numerous occasions but his words, babe. I carry those everywhere even now. I never once, no matter how angry I was, called her anything demeaning even though I fucking wanted to. She would call us every name in the book but we never once belittled her or laid a hand on her.â
âWhen we met you, Jesus, I swear there was no girl we had ever met like you.â
âBeautiful, sarcastic, kind, understandingâŚâ, Steve clarified when your eyebrows furrowed. âY/N, you are everything weâve ever wanted.â
âStopâŚâ, you whimper quietly.Â
âI feel like somehow she knows that. Thatâs why sheâs saying that stuff about us choosing you because youâre everything sheâs not. We wouldnât change anything about you. Not one thing, princess. But we are so fucking scared of getting hurt again.â
âAnd weâre afraid of hurting you.â
âThatâs not fair.â
âWhat isnât fair, honey?â
âDo you think trusting you was easy after what Holden did to me? I upended everything I knew to follow him and he broke my heart. I was terrified of starting over in any relationship let alone with two people but I got to know you and allowed myself to be vulnerable for you⌠you should be able to do that for me to.â
âYouâre right, baby, and we are so sorry. Weâre willing to try.â, Eddie pleaded as he leaned up to grab your hands. âWe donât even have to be in a relationship again or do anything sexual. We can start slow and go from there. We just miss you so much, Y/N. The way you smell, your sense of humor, the way you play with my hair when weâre lying in bed or watching tv.â
âThe way you listen to us when we talk even if itâs about work.â, Steve chimes in. âYour cute little laugh and the way you wrap your arms around me like you havenât seen me in years when itâs only been a few hours.â
âAh good morning, gentlemen and my hung over child. How are we today?â, your mother teases as she grins your way.Â
âWeâre fine thank you but if you could lower your voice a smidge that would be nice.â, you sass back making her chuckle as both men grin softly.Â
âYour dad made breakfast if you and your guests are hungry. Just donât throw it up or youâll hurt his feelings.â
You smile as you playfully wave her off before turning your attention back to them.Â
âDo you have to go back home for work or anything?â
âNo, maâam. Weâre all yours.â
âUnless you want us to go back home.â, Eddie adds with sad inflection in his voice hoping and praying that you donât.Â
âOk⌠Iâm going to change and then head downstairs. You, um, you should stay for breakfast. Knowing my father, if my mom told him you were staying he probably poisoned something butâŚIâm sure youâll be fine.â, you joke as you get up and head towards your closet, tossing them a little wink before collecting some clothes and closing the bathroom door.Â

Random headcanons of Alastor and his child!reader
This will mix headcanons from both the living and the afterliving times.
Tw: Controlling behavior, implied cannibalism, references to murder.
This is not proof read so I apologize for any grammar and vocabulary mistakes.
Your home is always filled with music. Be it the radio, a record player or him singing. There's always someone playing a tune. Even now at the hotel you can always find him in one of the common rooms humming a song or with his cathedral radio on.
Loves dancing with you, you'll be helping him cook and next thing you know he is swirling you around the room, music mixing with your combined laughter.
From a very young age, he will teach you to love the radio. He is immensely proud of his job (the legal one) and wants to share it with you.
Likes to treat your wounds and illness the traditional way, just like he used to when you were alive. You got a scratch? He is cleaning it for you and bandaging it up. You are down with something? He'll wrap you in blankets with a hot water bottle and feed you old family remedies and warm soup. If the wound or illness is way too severe to his liking, he will immediately make it go away with a snap of his fingers, otherwise he just likes to act like your caregiver and mother hen you.
Really loves to pull the 'single hardworking dad' act that makes the mothers and female teachers at your school swoon. He is not really interested in pursuing anything further with them, but boy, does he enjoy the attention.
He likes to check on you while you are sleeping. Sometimes he just stays there, quietly watching you sleep, his ever present smile growing bigger as a sense of pride fills his chest.
Lots of dad jokes, I think he's the only one who could pull it off and have everyone laugh. It goes with his radio host charisma and personality.
He does your hair. This man has singlehandledly researched and become well versed in the art of braiding hair. Braids, pigtails, or just brush it, you call it, you got it.
Alastor loves control and having power over people, he is the kind of dad that will subtly talk you out of doing something he doesn't approve of, just using his inmense charms and smooth talking skills to convince you into thinking this was your decision after doing some critical thinking. "Cher, I don't think you should do X, how about you do Y instead?" "I'm sure your friend is too busy to hang out today, why don't we go to the ice cream shop?" He won't ever put you down or make you feel bad about anything, but if you are deviating for the path that he has already set for you (the safe path) he will immediately persuade you to go back to the right way, his way. In Hell that aspect of him has become a million times worse, since he has already lost you once and has become someone with many dangerous enemies who wouldn't hesitate to use you to get back at him. His overprotectiveness and controlling behavior skyrocket when he becomes a demon, which eventually will come back to bite him in the ass.
Doesn't like having anyone question about your biological parents. He is your parent. You don't need anybody else.
Alastor is not fond of physical affection, unless he is the one initiating it. But, since he has had you since you were a baby, he has mostly grown used to your touch. He has become proficient enough in detecting your moods that he knows exactly when you are going to need a hug, a kiss or some other kind of physical comfort, so he can get ahead and start the contact first. He admits that one of his favorite ways nowadays to show affection to you is ruffling your fluffy hair, lightly tickling your ears, his eyes fill with joy when your ears get all twitchy.
Your room back at the hotel is a carbon copy of the one you had back when you were alive, but bigger, and with a private old timey bathroom. Alastor likes to come in whenever he pleases, he is the unliving embodiment of "I'm respecting your privacy by knocking but asserting my authority as your parent by coming in anyway". He even said so once. Word by word.
You can't stand Mimzy. Sorry, it's a fact, she always gets your name wrong and only comes by if she needs something from your dad. She seems to not be very fond of you either, can't understand why in Hell Alastor would waste his time so willingly just to take care of a snooty brat that ain't even his. But your father seems to like her enough, so you swallow up your critics.
When he was alive, and came back from a 'hunt', he always brought a little memorabilia for you, maybe some old watch, a fancy toy or trinket the victim had on them at that moment. Whatever little thing that wasn't too incriminating and pretty enough to be worthy of you. Now that you know the truth, you can't stop wondering with dread if every little thing he gifts you belonged once to a poor tormented soul that crossed in his path.
Might had fed you human remians in his stews. He utterly denies it, claiming that he would never do that to your delicate stomach. But the suspicious way his eyes quickly dart around the room, makes you think otherwise. It was the Great Depression after all, food was scarce. You'd rather not dwell too much on it or you will never eat anything ever again.
He is a monster, and it pained you to have been so blind all these years, but even after discovering his true nature, the only thing you could say about his parenting before that terrible night of the discovery, was that he was an excellent dad, a tad bit overbearing and overprotective, but a great parent nonetheless.

walking out of your apartment in los angeles you head to your favorite cafe down the street, walking through the door hearing the bell chime as you enter, you order your coffee and sit at a table finishing up some work for college. fall semester just started and it was always the most stressful but this time around you didnât sign up for many classes making the workload a lot easier to handle
you could finally focus on dance a little more which is your passion ever since you could walk your parents put you in dance and you absolutely flourished. now a college student you spend most of your time teaching dance classes, mostly hip hop because that was more of your style
as you work on your computer with your headphones on you hear a text message notification go off, ignoring it you continue with your work, until it goes off again, you check your phone to see a message from an unknown number
unknown #: hey y/n, itâs been a long time, i hope youâre doing well! i just wanted to let you know that i will be in LA for a few days this week with my group, if you arenât busy tomorrow, iâm having a get together with miles at my place to meet my members you should come too
unknown #: oh this is eric by the way
your heart immediately drops as a state of nausea washes over your body â god damn it milesâ you cuss under your breath as you call him
â yo whatâs upâ he answers the phone

â whatâs wrong with you?â he asks
â whatâs wrong with me? oh i donât know maybe whatâs wrong with me is i just got a text from eric.. eric sohnâ you whisper yell over the phone as you exit the cafe to get some fresh air

â i donât understand why you would give him my phone number after the whole reason why i got a new one was to avoid himâ
â listen y/n itâs been years, donât you think itâs time to see him again, he asks about you all the time and iâm tired of making up excuses to why you avoid him, he hasnât been back to los angeles since he left freshman year and the first thing he asked me is if he can possibly see you again while heâs hereâ miles says
you feel the tears begin to pull from your eyes
â itâs just really hard for me miles, you donât think i want to see him too? i want nothing more than to see him again, to see how far heâs come, but i donât know if my heart is ready for thatâ
â i know, but itâs been years maybe itâs time to truly move on and hopefully seeing him can give you enough closure to do soâ he says
â yeah maybe your rightâ a long pause comes from you before you speak again
â iâll go tomorrowâ you say
â good, iâm glad to hear that, everything will be okay i promiseâ he says, after hanging up the phone you walk back into the cafe packing up your stuff and heading back home,as you sit on the bed looking at the message eric sent you finally get the courage to respond
â sounds great iâll be thereâ you text back before shutting your phone off
you and eric met in middle school, he was popular due to his talent in baseball, all the girls obsessed over him, not you though at least not at first, you had biology class together and eventually got assigned to do a project with one another, after that you two became inseparable, eric introduced you to your now best friend miles and the three of you became the friend group that everyone wanted to be apart of
as time went on you started to have a little crush on eric, that crush only got bigger and bigger as you two got older, eric felt the same way about you, although eric had been in total awe the second he laid his eyes on you for the first time, the more he got to know you the more he fell in love, the summer going into your eighth grade year eric confessed his feelings to you and you confessed back
your relationship with eric was very lighthearted, a simple middle school fling, acting the same way towards eachother as you did when you were just friends maybe with the benefit of hand holding but that was it, to everyoneâs surprise you both made it over a year which was super long for a middle school relationship, but you and eric were truly in love and a lot of people underestimated your feelings for each other
you remember the day that eric told you he was leaving to move to korea to pursue his dreams , you were heartbroken but being the supportive person you were you didnât let him see how sad you were about it, you gave him all the best wishes and the two of you split up on good terms, you both knew it was impossible to continue this relationship when you would be across the world from each other
that wasnât the last time you saw eric though, once you became a senior in high school you and your dance team got invited to a dance workshop in seoul south korea, of course the universe just had to mess with you because during your trip you ran into him while visiting the han river late one night, one thing led to another and you ended up hooking up with him that night.. and the next morningâŚin full retrospect the intimate moments you shared with him during that trip was amazing but after you left it made you feel like shit, you kept in contact with eachother for a few months after you saw him but eventually the text messages became less frequent and then just stopped all together, it was your own fault letting him break your heart for the second time, you got your own hopes up, you couldnât blame him for his inconsistency, you saw how busy his life had become, how hard he worked everyday without a break.
but selfishly you wished sometimes that he would have stayed in LA, become a college student like yourself and the two of you could be together again, maybe even be on the road to getting married and building a life together, you knew that was never in the cards for him, he was meant to be an idol there was no doubt about it but every so often you find yourself thinking about an alternate reality, one where the two of you could be together for good
that night was rough on you, tossing and turning over all the possibilities that could come out of the events of tomorrow, being honest with yourself you donât even know how youâre going to look him in the eyes without falling in love with him all over again. as if you got over him in the first place, which newsflash.. you never did
waking up in the morning was hard, your alarm blared in your ears as you crawled out of bed. you spent most of the day mentally preparing yourself to see eric again, miles had arrived not too long ago as you were getting yourself ready
â does this look too sluttyâ you say doing a turn in your bikini for your best friend
â no you look good, hurry up though weâre going to be lateâ he says. quickly throwing on a minidress as a coverup you both leave your place as you head over to ericâs house
â are you nervousâ miles asks noticing your leg shaking up and down as you sit in the passenger seat
â yeah i am, i feel like im going to throw up everywhereâ you respond, finally pulling up to ericâs place you can hear the music playing and some faint yelling coming from the pool
getting out of the car you walk through the back gates to the pool area, standing behind miles trying to shield yourself from the sight of eric. that didnât work â miles, y/n, over hereâ eric waved the two of you down
walking over to the big canopy and a large table filled with a ton of korean dishes you finally stand there in front of eric for the first time in a long time, eric walks up to miles dabbing him up and then turning to you, he smiles at you pulling you into a hug â im glad you made it y/n it means a lot that youâre hereâ he says
his familiar scent fills your nostrils causing you to gain a wave of nostalgia, pulling away you flash a tight lipped smile at him. â guys this is my best friend miles and this is my friend y/nâ eric says hesitating on the word friend, his members all smile and wave as you both do the same back
you sit next to miles during dinner, thankfully eric is across the table filming a vlog for the groups youtube channel, once dinner was finished everyone decided to go swimming
setting your stuff down on a chair you begin to take your dress off leaving you in nothing but a tiny bikini, you felt eyes on you, turning around ericâs eyes met yours before he turned away quickly trying not to make it obvious that he was staring at you
â heyâ eric walks up to you â heyâ you respond back looking to the ground â im sorry if itâs awkward seeing me againâ he says itching the back of his neck
â no itâs fine itâs not awkwardâ you say completely lying. â i missed having you around you knowâ eric says looking into your eyes â yeah i missed you tooâ you say as you feel your heart beating out of your chest
he looked so good with nothing but his swim trunks on, his toned upper body out for display. â letâs go in the pool yeah?â he asks
â yeah i just have to put my hair upâ you say to him as he gives you a look
â you never changed have youâ he laughs â youâre going to get your hair wet regardlessâ he rolls his eyes at you
â fine whateverâ you say leaving your hair down
you walk with him to the deep end of the pool, everyone is already in but the two of you, âokay letâs jump in together on the count of three ready..one.. two⌠three..â eric counts, you had planned to pretend to jump in that way eric would have been the only one to actually jump but eric had the same idea as you
you both laugh as eric approaches you â no eric donâtâ you yell before he pushes you into the pool
quickly swimming up to the surface of the water you put your hand out to eric â what the hell eric, at least help me outâ you yell as eric grabs your hand. before he could pull you up you yank your arm back pulling him into the water with you
â i shouldâve saw that comingâ he says laughing
â i canât believe you fell for thatâ you laugh
joining the others in a game of water spikeball miles makes eye contact with you smirking as you and eric continuously flirt with each other
â that was a pointâ you yell to eric
âno it wasnâtâ he yells back
â yes it wasâ you splash water on him, he walks closer to you splashing you back before picking you up, eric lifts you up throwing you into the water, he swims over to you as you splash water in his face one last time â that was meanâ you say to him
he tucks a strand of lose hair behind your ear âso prettyâ he whispers, the two of you now inches away from each other, you wanted nothing more than to kiss him right then and there but before anything could happen one of ericâs members yells for him to come join in the game again
eventually you get out of the pool, feeling tired from the continuous swim races that eric challenged you to even though you beat him every time. eric approached you sitting on one of the chairs â come back inâ he whines
â no iâm tired of swimmingâ you say looking up at him âplease y/n iâll carry youâ he says. you nod your head yes, knowing you could never say no to him â sureâ you say walking to the steps of the pool
all the guys had gotten out and were now inside the house talking to eachother, leaving just you and eric alone together in the pool. it had gotten dark, the sun was long gone, the pool light shined as you swam over to eric wrapping your arms around his neck and your legs around his waist, he looks down at you smiling as he places one of his arms around your waist and the other on your ass to hold you up, you knew it was wrong, you knew that you shouldnât be doing this but when it came to eric all of your sense left your brain and you begin to think with your heart instead
you lay your head on his shoulder as he carries you to the deep end sitting down on the ledge â i meant what i said earlier, i really missed you pretty girlâ eric whispers
â i meant when i said i missed you tooâ you say lightly kissing the side of his neck. he rubs his hand up and down your back as the other rubs your thigh, taking your head off of his shoulder looking up at him, both of your eyes locking , you feel butterflies in your stomach as eric moves closer and closer until finally his lips are on yours
the kiss was passionate, you both had been waiting for this moment for a long time, he moves in closer holding the side of your face as one of your hand reaches into his hair while the other is pressed against his chest, you softly moan into the kiss as eric moves your bottoms to the side before entering his finger into your pussy without breaking the kiss
â fuck ericâ you moan noticing his eyes are now darker than they were before â youâre so tight baby, whenâs the last time you had sexâ he asks kissing your neck â the last time was with youâ you say looking at him, eric smiles at the thought of no one else fucking you but him
he enters another finger into you causing you to moan loudly before eric covers your mouth with his other hand â shh babygirl they can still hear you over the music, you donât want anyone to hear us do you?â he says as he fucks you with his fingers â fuck eric iâm gonna cumâ you whine, he stops thrusting his fingers in you â fuck yourself on my fingers babyâ he says kissing your head, you feel the knot in your stomach tighten as you ride his fingers â cum for me loveâ eric says, you throw your head back letting yourself ride out your climax releasing onto his fingers, you moan as your body begins to shake â good girlâ eric kisses your lips once again before letting you catch your breath as he fixes your bathing suit
getting out of the pool you notice ericâs dick poking out of his pants â i feel bad let me help youâ you say as he looks down at you â iâll be okay for now, i think somone will come looking for us if weâre out here any longerâ he chuckles palming his boner
the sliding glass door opens â hey weâre going start up a game of football if you wanna joinâ miles says poking his out of the door â okay weâll be right thereâ eric responds drying himself off as you do the same
sitting in the grass you watch majority of the guys play football, kevin and jacob walk up next to you as you invite them to sit down â im finally meeting the girl eric wonât ever shut up aboutâ kevin says looking to you
â really he talks about me?â you ask
â literally all the timeâ jacob responds
it goes quiet for a moment before kevin speaks again â the two of you have chemistry you know?â he says. â yeah we all could sense it the moment you got hereâ jacob adds
you sigh â yeah thatâs how it is with eric and i, no matter how long we go without talking to each other the moment weâre together we act as if weâre magnets constantly gravitating towards one anotherâ
â i havenât seen eric this happy in a whileâ jacob states
â yeah iâve never seen him so in loveâ kevin says
â you think heâs still in love with me?â you ask
â oh we know heâs still in love with youâ they both reassure you
â i never stopped loving him you know, i did everything to avoid him, to stop thinking about him and look where it led meâ you laugh looking over at eric who was running with the football in his hands
â i think you should tell him that, heâs been beating himself up a lot about still being hooked on you all these years laterâ jacob says quickly stopping the conversation as eric approaches you
he sits down next to you pulling you into a hug â ew eric get off of me your all sweatyâ you yell pushing him off of you as he laughs hysterically, kevin and jacob smile at the sight of you both as you get up running away from eric as he tries to wipe his sweat on you. eventually capturing you in his arms eric throws you over his shoulder as you kick and scream pleading him to let you down
you are now all in front of the big tv everyone spread across the living room watching a horror movie, eric laid behind you on the couch as his arms wrapped around your waist, legs tangled together, at this point everyone had caught on that you and eric werenât just âfriendsâ miles smiles at the two of you cuddled on the couch. throughout the movie you and eric scream every so often hugging eachother tightly, everyone laughing at how scared you two are. as the move comes to an end eric moves closer to your face â spend the nightâ eric whispers into your ear, â okayâ you say turning around placing a soft kiss to his lips
everyone except eric says goodbye to you and miles before leaving to go back to their hotel â you ready to head outâ miles asks you, you look at him before speaking â um actually i think im gonna spend the night here with ericâ you say to him, he lets out a big sigh before speaking again â you know whatâs going to happen if you do that right?â he asks as you nod your head yes
â are you okay with having sex with him and then being thousands of miles away from each other again when he leaves, look iâm not going to tell you what to do with your life but this is exactly what happened last timeâ miles says
â i donât know what to tell you miles, im in love with him, im going to have alot more regret if i donât spend every minute that i can with him before he leavesâ you tell him. he pulls you into a hug â you know i just care about youâ he says before walking over to say his goodbyes to eric
â i need to shower i feel grossâ you say as he laughs bringing you up to his room, you and eric both shower together, it wasnât in a sexual way but more of a romantic moment between to two of you, his hands roam your body as he washes your hair giving you kisses here and there as you do the same to him
as the two of you get out and dry off you feel ericâs naked body hug you from behind, his hard cock poking your back while he kisses your neck as you watch him in the mirror, feeling the warmth between your legs you can tell youâre getting wet for him â i need youâ you moan
that was all he needed to hear before picking you up and throwing you on the bed, leaning over you he hooks his mouth to one of your boobs while playing with the other, leaving open mouth kisses to your body, you trace his abs as you look into his eyes letting him know that youâre growing impatient, eric chuckles before kissing your lips, after spreading your legs eric drags his tip over your clit a few times causing you to whimper before lining his cock up with you as he slowly sides himself into your hole
â oh my god ericâ you choke out, as he stays still for a moment letting you get used to his size â youâre so tight loveâ he says before slowly thrusting into you â fasterâ you moan clawing at his back, eric brings one hand up to your neck while the other one grips your waist as he rams himself into youâ fuck baby youâre so wet for meâ he grunts
turning you over leaving you on all fours arching your back for him, he grabs a handful of your hair before ramming into you once again causing you to scream when he hits your g spot â youâre taking me so well babygirl, iâm so proud of youâ he says as grab onto the sheets tears streaming down your faceâ iâm comingâ you moan as you squeeze around him, your hips shake repeatedly hinting that you had finished, â good girlâ he says flipping you around again once again placing your legs in his shoulders as he chases his own high, squeezing around him once again his thrusts become sloppy and rushed as he whimpers â shit iâm comingâ he says looking to you â oh fuckkkkâ he says moaning as you feel warm strings of him cum shoot into you, he stays inside of you as he wipes away your tears giving you multiple pecks on the lips â you did so well for me baby, made me feel so goodâ he says pulling out of you watching his cum leak from your pussy as he used his fingers to push it back in causing moans to slip out form your mouth
the two of you werenât even close to being done for the night, you went multiple rounds from having you on top riding him to him eating you out and then fucking you in front of the bathroom mirror, you both went at it, making up for lost time
the last round however was different, seeing you so fucked out made eric want to do nothing but be gentle with you, he layed you down on your stomach as he laid on top of you slowly thrusting into your pussy as he played with your hair, kissing on your shoulders â as much as i love fucking you until you canât walk nothing will ever beat making love to youâ he whispers in your ear as you arch your back a little bit still lying down, his hands roam your body as he praises you â youâre the most beautiful girl iâve ever laid my eyes onâ he carefully turns you over to look at your face
you wrap your legs around his torso as your hands play with his hair slowly and gently moving his length in and out of youâ i love you so much y/nâ he says caressing your cheek, you look up at him â i love you too ericâ you say as he leans in to kiss you gently
after he came in you for the last time he cleaned you up putting the covers over your body before getting in bed with you, scooping you up into his arms he places a kiss on your forehead while gently rubbing your back â eric?â you mumble into his chest â yes sweet girl?â
â did you mean what you said earlier about loving meâ you ask looking up at him, he smiled before kissing your lips â of course i did, iâve loved you since i first laid my eyes on you, and i never stoppedâ he said raking his hands through your hair, you smile at his answer â good because i never stopped loving you eitherâ
a silence washed over the both of you until you spoke again â eric?â you ask once more he chuckles at you â yes sweet girlâ repeats himself you stop and think about the question youâre going to ask â is this the last time weâre going to see each otherâ your voice begins to tremble as your tears begin to fall onto his naked chest
â oh sweetheart come hereâ he says pulling you up more so that your head in is in the crook of his neck as he rubs your back, â look at meâ he says as you sit up, eric places both of his hands on your cheeks wiping away your tears
â i promise to do everything in my power to make sure that we see eachother a lot more oftenâ he says before pulling you back into his chest as you begin to cry harder, â i just never want to repeat what happened last timeâ you say trying to calm yourself down â it wonât iâll make sure of itâ he says
â im so sorry i stopped answering your calls and your messages, i just felt like i was holding you back on so many levels,i never wanted you to hold you back from finding love with someone who would be there for you way more than i couldâveâ eric feels his eyes build up with tears, trying his best to hold them back, but he couldnât causing him to break down, you lift your head up off of his chest when you feel ericâs body shake with his sobs
â oh my god ericâ you coo, the sight of the boy you had known since you were fourteen breaking down in front of you made you sob again along with him
eric had always been an emotional person, but around you he never showed that side of himself, for all the years of knowing you he was always the one wiping your tears not the other way around
you sit up placing his head to your chest letting him sob in the crook of your neck this this time. â i donât want to lose you again, i donât think i can handle it this timeâ he says in between sobs. â you wonât lose me eric i promise, if i start taking online courses for school i can visit you all the time and once i get my degree we can talk about me moving to koreaâ his head shoots up off of your chest â y/n i cant ask you to leave everything and everyone you love behind just for meâ he says, you shush him â youâre not asking, iâm offering, eric i would move anywhere if it meant i get to be with youâ
â you would do that for me, leave everything youâve ever know behind, move somewhere completely different on the other side of the world.. just for meâ he asks. you chuckle at him before kissing his lips that taste like salt due to his tears
â i would do it in a heartbeatâ you say. as the two of you calmed down you lay back on his chest staring at the ceiling â have you ever thought about our future together, like getting married and having kidsâ you ask looking to him, he looks down at you â i think about it a lot actually, i think about how i would propose and what our wedding would be like, how beautiful you would look walking down the isle in your white dress, i think about how sexy you would be with the baby i put in your belly, how hot you would look waddling around pregnant with our child, you would make a hot mom by the wayâ he laughs
â how about you? do you think about our future?â he asks raising his eyebrow âall the time, i think about marrying you a lot more than id like to admit, i think about having kids with you, i even think about you doing the sexy dad walk out of the hospital with our babyâ you laugh
â i promise one day weâll get to experience all of that togetherâeric says before placing another kiss to your lips, he pauses before opening his mouth again to speak
âwill you be my girlfriend again, this time for goodâ eric asks
âof course my love, i would love nothing moreâ you reply giving him one last kiss
â goodnight i love you so much y/nâ
â goodnight eric i love you moreâ
you went to sleep peacefully that night, even though eric was leaving the next morning you felt content with his departure for the first time, you felt really confident in your relationship this time around, you knew you both were serious about doing anything and everything to be together as much as you could
you would have never believed that the boy you met in your middle school biology class would end up being the one you plan on sharing the rest of your life with, but here you are all these years later, that boy is now a man laying in your arms after a long night of making love to each other, your naked bodies tangled together as he lets out small snores, holding each other close promising to never let go again
âââââââââââââââââââââââââ
i know i usually only write for nct but recently eric has been on my mind a lot so i needed to write for him hehe, i hoped you enjoyed <3

What is Love? (Baby Donât Hurt Me)
Love Clueless!Morgie x GN!Reader Part 1/2
Thank you anon for the wonderful ask! I never would have come up with this on my own. I was worried it was getting too long, so Iâm splitting it into two parts (currently working on it!)
Word Count: 1,446
Warnings: Morgie worries others donât like him, Morgie doesnât know what love is, Morgan Le Fay is mentioned as being cruel, Morgie didnât grow up being loved :(
Summary: Morgie doesnât know what love is. Seeing you being loved by your friends leads him to ask you to teach him what love is.
What is Love?
This was a question that had recently began to plague Morgie Le Fayâs mind. People talked about loving other people; they loved their family, friends, partner, and even famous people who didnât know they existed. But what did that even mean? Was the love they felt for their friend the same as their parent?
It was clear to him that those who felt love towards others felt a special sort of care to them, but what did that mean for Morgie? He didnât really care about his mom. She was barely crueler than some of the other nasty people he had to deal with growing up; Was Morgie supposed to love her because she was his mom? Part of him felt that he should have, but the other part thought of nothing but apathy (but perhaps those two things could coexist? Is it possible to love someone and not like them?).
And then there were his friends. It wasnât uncommon to hear the âgoodâ kids throw around âlove youâ to their pals. When he tried using it, all of them (especially uliana) looked at him like heâd presented a dish of rotting food. Hook was the only one to give a rather forced laugh and clap him on the back with a âDonât tell me those happy idiots are starting to rub off on you.â It was never brought up as Morgie never did it again, crushed. After that, though, he couldnât help but question his feelings towards them.
Donât be mistaken, Morgie does care for his friends, maybe even loves them. However, heâs come to recognize that unlike himself, the others were uncomfortable with the kind of care and affection they all lacked growing up. And this, in turn, made it impossibly more difficult to understand what love was, and how people felt it towards others. None of it made sense to him. He felt lost as the brainrot began to consume his mind over the course of a couple weeks.
He started to stare and obsess over the way he saw other friends behave. So often there were hugs exchanged, gifts given (friendship bracelets and charms were a common one, he noted), and sometimes even kisses on the cheek.
Why couldnât he have that? Did his friends just not like him enough? But Hades and Mali were dating, and they never did stuff like that, and their relationship was really healthy!
It wasnât until he saw you interacting with you friends that he did a double take on all he had observed. Everybody you ran into seemed to treat you like a close friend. Whether you were holding a door open or approaching someone to compliment some random little thing, everyone would smile when they saw you.
But you didnât give anything to them. You didnât hug any of them or otherwise engage in physical contact. If everyone else did that then why didnât you? How come you had so many friends?
Maybe, he thought, just maybe, you knew something he didnât; the secret to love. If it was some hidden knowledge you could share, perhaps he could learn how to make others love him. He could even get his friends to love him. All he needed to do was understand what love was.
He just wanted to feel loved.
âWhat?â You had a baffled expression, like he spoke some unknown language.
âWill you teach me what love is?â He asked again in the exact same tone, thinking you couldnât hear him over the school bell and clamor of hallway foot traffic.
Expression still the same, you looked left and right as if looking to see who might be listening.
âWhy do you want to know? I thought villains hated love.â
Morgie scratched the back of his head, slightly sheepish.
âYeah that mostly rings true. People like my mom and friends donât seem to like the concept.â He went still for a second, pondering his next words slowly. âBut⌠because of that, I donât really understand it. Like, someone can like their partner, but if they go and show love to someone else itâs wrong. But itâs somehow not the same as friends, which people can have as many as theyâd like- and I just donât get it.â
Your eyes widened as you took all his words in. He really didnât know what love was? Better yet, he -a villain- wanted to know what it was. Did the world turn upside down?
Regardless of your experience-based opinions, you found his sincerity endearing. Why wouldnât you help him out? The worst that could happen is some mistreatment from the VKâs- and you were already used to that.
That was not the worst that could happen, you realized, as you sat at the foot of your bed.
After entering your dorm when school hours were over, Morgie had taken to staring at your room in abstract wonder. His fingers glided ever-so-gently over little knickknacks and bobbles you had collected over the years as gifts. Occasionally he would pick one up like it was a baby bird, carefully turning it over and setting it back down once he was done looking at it. Then he came across a picture frame of you and your family. You couldnât read the expression in his eyes.
This was worse, you thought again. This was worse, because here, like this, he was just a boy. A normal kid like you and not one who tormented others. When you looked at his soft countenance, you felt your heart flutter at this seemingly innocent boy who didnât know what love was.
Snapping out it, you pull his attention away from the photo by calling him over. He sat next to you right at the edge of your mattress. Then, he looked at you expectantly.
âWhat?â You asked.
âWell⌠are we going to start?â
Oh, right!
âYes!â You began, smile returning. âYes of course, the- uh- reason why youâre⌠here.â This was already going bad. Maybe you should just cut your losses.
âWell, to start, what do you know about love?â Better see what he knows first and go from there. He seemed to think for a moment.
âI know that when people love someone⌠they care for them deeply. But I donât quite understand the differences between the different kinds of love. They all seem the same to me.â The longer he went on the more unsure he seemed. Then, he whispered âThatâs not⌠bad, is it?â
Pushing your pity aside, you quickly respond with an âof course not. Itâs not your fault. I could get why itâd be confusing to someone who doesnât really feel love from others. That can also include people who donât feel certain types of love themself. You seem like a really sweet and caring person, so Iâm sure it wonât be to hard to help you understand.â You tried to not mentally slap yourself at calling him âsweetâ but if his reaction was anything to go by, everything you said was motivational and cheered him up.
âOkay.â He grinned, then added. âAnother thing I donât get is why some people love others who donât treat them the same. Like, Iâve seen so many friends just giving each other things and being all gushy and stuff. But they treat you the same despite you not doing all that gushy stuff. So why do they like you?â After he finished, he realized his last remark sounded incredibly rude. Luckily, you didnât take it that way, and -despite how confusing his question- you seemed to know exactly what to say.
âThatâs because of my love language.â you smiled.
âWhatâs that?â
Shaking your head gently, you held up five fingers. âLove. Language. The ways someone shows love, and the ways they prefer to receive it. Thereâs-â you start counting down on your fingers, looking up at the ceiling. âGift-giving, quality time, acts of service, physical touch, andâŚâ you racked your brain. âWords of affirmation.â
He looked at you incredulously.
âWhat do those mean?â
You smiled at him again as you pondered these last few minutes. You were unsure at first if you even wanted to do this, but now you were certain. At first you were afraid, but that disappeared the moment he entered your dorm.
Morgie was kind; you could see it. That doesnât mean he wasnât also mean. People are allowed to be complicated. But as you think about everything that you have in mind to help him learn what love was, one thing was for sure:
You were going to fall in love with him.
And you were looking forward to it.
âIâll show you.â

Oh, I should clarify that there's nothing wrong with watching certain shows, but in some ways I do think the media you consume influences your worldview if you're really sheltered or if you don't get out much. Many of these online activists don't have experience with actual real life political activism so they approach politics the way they approach their shows. I know we should "let people enjoy things" but it's concerning
Kids these days need their worldview spoonfed to them and I think that's a combination of a) iPad parenting, b) schools that teach you to cite sources but not think for yourself, and c) a lack of organized religion. No one ever taught them how to map out their own values and form their own moral compass and work through questions that aren't black and white. Pop culture has become their only guide for these things and the problem there is that pop culture only tells you one answer - not how to think through the question and arrive at that answer yourself, much less with room to arrive at a different answer. They are told X is good and Y is bad but they have no idea why X is good or what is so bad about Y.
And they think that by interacting with media that says X is good, they are supporting the idea that X is good. If you interact with media that doesn't say X is good, it is obviously supporting Y. Since Y is bad, they can only interact with things that support X or explicitly condemn Y. Media consumption becomes activism and if you interact with the wrong thing, people will think you support Y and therefore you are On The Wrong Side and should be condemned.
When someone presents them with option Z, they have no idea what to do with it. They can only assume that if X is good, anything that isn't X must be bad like Y is bad. Because if Z was good, it would just be part of X.
And forget asking them about nuance. They panic when they see it because they truly don't know know to think about something more complex than an either/or. There isn't one right answer they can learn from some tv show. Nuance requires you to think about exceptions to the rule. If you don't have the skills to evaluate Z on your own, then you certainly won't be able to parse out when Z might apply instead of X.
Like I said at the top, this is a problem with how we teach kids. It's not the fault of the media they interact with. Watching some dumb lefty show will not make you a lefty. But if you've never been taught how to form your own conclusions, watching only dumb lefty shows will leave you parroting what they say. Playing a violent video game will not make you become a murderer but if you've never been taught that murder is bad or why you shouldn't hurt other people and all you know is that your game encourages you to kill people in it, you would think that is normal behavior. Most of us at least were taught enough to recognize that the violent video game is not a good place to learn your morals so we can play them as intended everything is fine but not everyone was taught how to think about political or moral philosophy.
So anyway, yeah it's fine to watch a silly show where everyone is either good or irredeemably evil - sometimes that can be relaxing because it doesn't ask you to think much and we all need that from time to time - but it's not meant to teach you how the world works because that's not how the world works. And it's fine to watch a show that has an agenda. It's even fine to decide you agree with what they're saying and adopt that into your own worldview - but you should be the one making that decision. The tv should not be doing it for you. If you don't understand why what they're saying makes sense to you, then you don't actually agree, you're just repeating the last thing you heard. Sometimes things just instinctively feel right and that's cool but then you need to challenge that idea and refine it. You should be able to identify the underlying principles driving that idea and use it to extrapolate next steps and figure out where the boundaries are or if its application is conditional on anything else and it should hold up against opposing information. If you don't know how to do that, people will manipulate you for their own purposes with ease.

warning:Â single parents au. reader has a uterus. little angst somewhere in there but actually fluffy.
part2 - masterlist
âAt first, I wasnât sure if I should come here or not. Since I break the first rule of the club⌠Donât bring your child!â she joked, holding her big belly âBut honestly, I need all the support I can get because Iâm kind of losing my mind thinking about the future of this baby.â
Everybody nodded sympathetically.
âI planned to be fully blunt about everything, so here it goes⌠Iâm sure you are wondering about the father. The piece of shit cheated on me, so I dumped his ass. Who could have thought it would have some consequences?â
She clearly joked when sheâs uncomfortable Poe thought, smiling a little. He remembered his first time at the single parents support group. He was definitely nervous, feeling like everybody was going to judge his every decision about Sharaâs life, though he was ready to defend himself. Then the others got to talking and he was shocked to realize how common his experiences were. How every parentâs joy celebrated and understood. Every challenge a parent was struggling provided with some solution by the other, even though that caused arguments among the group sometimes. It was all constructive, so helpful and Poe was immensely grateful.
âHow about you, Poe? How is it going in the Dameron household?â
Hearing his name, Poe shifted on his seat.
âHonestly, itâs been ruff. Sharaâs mom is keep making new demands to extend the process. It's driving me crazy... and I think she does that to make me look bad but itâs not gonna work. She did kind of stuff when we were together too and now, she drags Shara into this mess too. Iâm not going to let her do that. Iâm over it. Not going to give her the attention she oh so desperately craves. I have to win this case and have my child to myself⌠Ah, but everything is good with Shara lately. She just learned how to jump rope at her school and of course demanded I buy her one so she can teach how to her friends at home... referring to her toys. A lot of jumping, falling and slapping her shins with the rope.â
Everybody chuckled to that and oof sound was also heard.
***
âSo, we have something in common.â
Poe lifted his head from the cup he was filling.
âDouchebag ex partners.â The new woman said. Poe laughed a little.
âI guess we do.â
âOh man, is that coffee? I would kill for some right nowâŚâ
âI thought you could have some, in moderation, no?â
âI went cold-turkey when I learned about the pregnancy because I have no self-discipline. If I have some now, Iâll come back and finish the whole thing.â
âI think going cold-turkey requires serious self-discipline.â
She smiled prettily to that and Poe felt his insides turn a little.
âHow do you find the group so far?â
âItâs good, I like it here. Though I think I canât be too picky, since not many would accept a pregnant lady as a single parent. Yet.â
âAnd that would be ridiculous. What kind of policy is that âno child, no supportâ? Anyways, I canât recommend this group enough. We all are like friends here. They really helped me through out the years. Iâm sure you will like them too.â
âYou know I have a feeling I will enjoy this place.â She grinned, making him smile widely.

Ch2 masterlist
Friday, September 26th, 2003 Hazel, KY
It was a beautiful day. The clouds perfectly covered the sky to make it so that it wasnât too bright outside but it was still sunny. You still had to walk down your mile-long driveway to the bus stop, so you were able to appreciate the weather every morning. Dad said that as soon as you turned 16 heâd let you drive to school, even though the area you lived in was so small that some parents were letting their kids drive at 15 when they just had their permits, but your dad is a stickler about laws, rules, and safety. He isnât strict per say, but a protector and chronic worrier.Â
The small village of Hazel, Kentucky, where your family farm resided, is home to only 450 people, meaning you had quite the long bus ride to school in the next town over. Hazel is known for its antique malls that dot main street and the âHazel Dayâ celebration. Hazel Day was coming up actually and the town was getting ready and getting excited, but no one was more excited than your baby sister, Hazel. Your parents named your sister after the village because it was quite literally a community effort to get her into the world. Your momâs water had broken in the middle of the local market and she somehow managed to progress so fast that there was no time for hospitals and only time for a sweet old woman's 5 minute car ride to her house and Hazel came not long after in an all natural tub birth. Youâd never heard your mom scream so much.Â
Hazel Elizabeth was born on September 30th, 1995. You were 6 years older. Your parents had tried for a very long time to get pregnant again after you. Your Dad really wanted a boy but after Hazel essentially arrived with a bow already in her hair it was clear that wasnât happening and you were his only option, so he decided to teach you the ins and outs of farm life in hopes you would either take over one day or marry a man to take over, you couldnât quite figure out which. That was another thing about the town of Hazel, people frequently got married right out of high school since the town was so small and was so incredibly old fashioned. Your Dad however never let you watch or do any of the butchering, he always said âkilling is a manâs job, no woman should have blood on her hands.â But you didnât care because you frequently named the animals and you slept better not knowing which of your pet chickens was in your momâs chicken noodle soup.Â
When you finally arrived at school and sat at your desk for your first hour, groaning internally when the usual ruckus broke out from the junior boys. They seemed to have no problem that they were still taking sophomore level English. You, however, were taking classes a year ahead. You were something of a smarty pants thanks to your momâs ever present hand in your education. She worked part-time at one of the antique shops so she was often home to help with your studies or let you out of chores to go read. Her parents couldn't afford college for her so she wanted the best chance for you to get a good scholarship and be able to go.Â
âWell arenât you all extra fidgety today?â Mrs. Charleson said, âBut itâs Friday, so pop quiz time to make sure youâre all caught up on the reading.â
Madison smugly raised her hand and you visibly cringed before the smart ass remark you knew she was about to make made its way to the surface. Sheâs your âneighborâ because her family is the only people who live within 6 miles from your house. âIf you give us a pop quiz every Friday, is it even a pop quiz anymore?â She said and the Junior boys giggled. Gross.
âAnd yet some of you are still surprised,â Mrs. Charleson replied, smiling just as smartly. That made you and many other students laugh, proving why she was without a doubt your favorite teacher.
â
You aced your quiz. When the final bell rang you couldnât wait to get out of there. Something was just off with everyone today but you couldnât quite decide what it was. You headed to your locker to grab your snack of raisins and peanuts and then started walking in the direction of the local dress shop where your sister would be getting the final alterations done to her dress for the Hazel Day pageant.
âHey Hazie!â you shout as you walk in and see your adorable baby sister. Her blonde curls somehow so effortlessly laid across her shoulders.
Hazie shrieks your name in excitement, âCome look at my dress!!â You walk further into the dress shop to see your sister in her Barbie pink pageant gown that youâd guess weighed more than she did soaking wet. It had everything a girl like Hazie could ever dream of, pink ribbons, ruffles, and even lace.
âWell arenât you just the prettiest princess!â You said giving her a twirl.
âOh donât move so much I havenât taken out the last pin!â Mrs. Vivian said. She was the owner of the dress shop and also the old woman from the market who took your mom to have a baby in her bathtub. She gave your mom a discounted rate for alterations for your sisterâs endless pageant dress collection which helped your parents be able to support her pageant dreams. It was still a fucking expensive hobby and your parents definitely had more financial strain because of it, but whatever to make your little Hazie happy.Â
Once alterations were done, Mrs. Vivian promised to have it done by October 1st which was 3 days before Hazel Day. âAnd donât worry about this round of alterations Lillian, this oneâs on me,â Mrs. Vivian said.
âOh Vivian I couldnât possibly allow you to do that,â your mother frantically replied. She absolutely hated accepting help from anyone.
âNo, no, I insist! Itâs a birthday present for our future junior pageant Queen.â
âWell, thank you, could I still at least give you a tip?â Your mother began bargaining. Mrs. Vivian along with everyone else was obsessed with your sister. Disney Princesses may not be real but they came to life in sweet Hazel Elizabeth. She deadass would have squirrels and birds and whatever else following her around, it was bizarre. But you couldnât deny the fact that the effect of the sweet beacon of innocence and joy your sister had on people affected you too. Hazie was your everything, thereâs not a single thing you wouldnât do to protect her, not that she needed it. She may be pretty and cute, but she had quite the stubborn head on her shoulders.
âMomma can I have one more cookie before we go?â Hazel asked with the biggest doe eyes you ever did see, in what world would your mother ever be able to say no to her?
âYouâve already had two⌠how about half if you split it with your sister?â Your mother replied.Â
âOkay!â Hazel grabbed the chocolate chip raisin cookies Mrs. Vivian had made and split it mostly in half and handed you the other piece. You were still a little hungry, but youâd just had your snack of raisins and decided that your daily tolerance of their texture was up, so you slipped Hazel the half she gave you on your walk back to the car.
âShh,â you smiled at her, winking and watching her sweet blue eyes brighten at the sight of what would complete her third cookie. You tossed your backpack in the trunk next to Hazelâs homeschool books and popped in the front seat next to your mom. Your parents decided to homeschool your sister when the pageants and travel started affecting her ability to attend school. Plus it was one less thing your parents would have to pay for, so most of Hazelâs school supplies were just your old school supplies. It seemed like your mom kept everything you or Hazel ever touched.Â
âMommy? I feel a little funny.â Hazel piped up from the backseat, interrupting your looking-out-the-window-music-video-vibe you had going on while listening to Beyonceâs newest hit âCrazy in Love.â
âHonestly me too Hazie. Now yours may have to do with the three- yes, three- cookies you ate today. I saw you trying to be sneaky,â your mother glanced at you for a second, âbut I think the weatherâs changing so it may have something to do with that too.â
âYeah itâs probably just a bug going around. People were weird today at school too,â you added, trying to ease Hazelâs worries.
âA BUG?? I donât wanna be sick for my birthday Mommy,â Hazel pouted.
âOh you wonât, love. Itâll pass, I promise. Do you have any homework today?âÂ
âNo, just a test I need to study for in science.â You saw an opportunity and decided to take it. âSo Iâm not sure I can go to the pre-banquet tonight.â
âWHAT?â Hazel shouted from the backseat.
âYour sisterâs right, the banquet wonât be a good use of her time if she needs to study. Sheâll be at the pageant though, donât worry.â Your momâs obsession with your studies increased once your parents pulled Hazel from school, so you couldnât be happier to study for your science test. Sitting in a stuffy room all dressed up eating stale food and surrounded by a bunch of snobby girls and their mothers was not how you wanted to spend your evening. You liked dressing up for church on Sundays and special occasions and you wore a little makeup every day, but you certainly were no pageant girl.
âGosh itâs already 5:00. Help Hazel get ready will you? We need to leave in 45 minutes if we wanna make it there by 6:20âŚâ your mom got out of the car rambling. If your dad was a chronic worrier your mother was an incessant worrier.
âCome on Hazie, let's get you all dressed up,â you said. You were no makeup artist, but for only being 14 and hardly wearing any makeup, you considered yourself pretty good. It was probably due to having done your sisterâs makeup for so long. You may not like doing it very much, but you loved making Hazel happy and this definitely made her happy.Â
âStop jittering so much. I can barely get this eyeliner on straight and you know Iâm no good at eyeliner anyway,â you said.
âIâm sorry, I think Iâm just cold," your sister said softly. You immediately felt terrible and grabbed a light pink blanket off her bed and draped it over her shoulders.
âMaybe you are getting sick?â You took your hands to her forehead, but she was cold. âHuh no fever, though.â You more or less got her eyeliner on and started to touch up where her natural curls had flattened. Then you pulled the front bits back into a half up half down look and applied just a touch of tinted lip gloss. She may be required to wear makeup for these pageants but you still wanted her to look more like herself.Â
âThank you sissy,â Hazel said and gave you a big hug.
âOf course. And always remember youâre my favorite princess and youâre so so beautiful no matter what anyone says about you,â you said. Youâd always been worried about what the effect of pageant life would have on her. Youâd seen how deathly skinny some of the older pageant girls are, but youâre just glad Hazel still wants a third cookie.
âHAZEL ELIZABETH WE NEED TO LEAVE!â
âYou better go. You know what momâs like when she thinks she's gonna be late,â you warn your sister.
âI donât know why she thinks weâre gonna be late, right now weâre still getting there 25 minutes early.â
âAh, but,â you start.
âEarly is on time, on time is late, and late is just unacceptable,â you and Hazel quote your mother perfectly.Â
âHAZEL!â Your sister's eyes widen as she gives you a kiss on the cheek and then runs out of her room. You hear your mother shout love and goodbye, but leaves you no time to respond before the door slams and youâre met with silence.Â
Just how you like it.
â
When your dad came in from the fields to find you at home, he wasnât at all surprised, but that did mean you had to help him out with a few final things he wanted to get finished up today. When you tried to fix up something for dinner you realized your mom has been so preoccupied with Hazel and the pageant next weekend that going to the market must have slipped her mind, so you both settled on popcorn for dinner.Â
âNow if weâre having popcorn for dinner, we have to watch a movie,â your dad said, shrugging.
âI think youâre right.â You could study for the test later. âWhat do you wanna watch?â
âHmmm, how about Harry Potter?â
âSorcerer's Stone or Chamber of Secrets?â
âChamber of Secrets for sure. I wanna watch the scene of Hermione as that nightmarish catâ your dad replied. You started searching the DVD cabinet for the movie. âBy the way, whenâs the third one supposed to come out?â
âUhhh sometime next summer I think? Ya know, you could just read the books to find out what happens.â
âAnd spoil the movie?! I would never,â your dad dramatically puts his hand out in front of you, reminding you where Hazel gets all her sass from. You, on the other hand, were more like your mother- empathetic to all, but protective of those you care about. Always a silent watcher and observer, thinking and planning what the correct response or move should be in a situation. Itâs why your dad refuses to play board games anymore because either you or your mom would destroy him and Hazel and then it was just a battle between the two of you to see who could outsmart the other. Youâd only beaten your mother once. She always seemed to be one step ahead of you. She claims itâs what happens when you become a parent, youâre too mentally prepared for any option to be surprised when something happens. Your dad would always say thatâs bullshit because itâs never helped him out, which then turns into your mother scolding him for cursing around Hazel. You work with him in the barn so youâve heard all the profanities, thanks to his frustrations, so she's not worried about you. Sheâs under the impression you just filter it out and have the vocabulary of a saint, but in reality you just donât do it around her and your dad graciously hasnât told her.Â
About thirty minutes into the movie, your dad is passed out on the couch so you head upstairs to study for your test on Monday. Whatever made your teacher decide a test after the weekend was a good idea needs to be reevaluated. You plopped down at your desk, opened your textbook and notes, and began to go through them. You had stayed up late the night before studying the reading for the âpop quizâ you took today so your eyes started drooping a lot faster than you thought they would and before you knew it you had passed out on your desk reading your notes.
â
It was 11:30 when you heard it. A strange, croaking noise coming from down the hall that awoke you from your impromptu nap. You were a little disoriented from falling asleep at your desk. Your desk lamp was off, so you assumed one of your parents had shut it off before they went to bed. You turned the lamp back on and realized you had drooled on your notes. Shit. You had only smudged the ink a little bit and decided they were legible enough before you heard it again. Is there a fucking frog in the house? You tried to reason with your very sleep clouded brain when the croaking got closer and you heard a door creak. You got up from your desk chair to peek out your door and saw a small shadow had appeared in the darkness of the hallway. Assuming she also heard the freaky croaking noises and got scared, you called out to her in a whisper.
âHazie? Are you okay?â
She tilted her head at you and you heard more croaking.
âHazieâŚ?âÂ
She jumped at you, and an inhuman sound came out of herâa shriek or scream or something you couldnât even begin to describe. Before you knew it she was on you, clawing, snapping her teeth, and scratching. You were quite a bit bigger than her, and Hazel has always been quite small for her age so you could overtake her physically, but the mental hurdle of trying to understand what she was doing was a battle.
âHazel? Hazie? Hazel? What the hell is going on, stop it!â You were wrestling with her at the top of the stairs and were starting to get scared she was gonna take you both down them. She kept croaking and screeching and suddenly the light was turned on. Your father stood at the bottom of the stairs, not croaking thankfully, but looking confused. When your mom and sister came home they must have left your dad on the couch and shut your lamp off.
âWhat the fuck are you two doing? Get off her!â You didnât know who he was referring to but you didn't have time to ask before you heard more shrieks and inhumane croaks coming from your parents room. The door was shut but it was shaking like someone was pounding on it.
âDad, something is wrong,â you said, starting to panic now at the possibility your mother would come barreling out of the room acting just like Hazel, or worse. Your dad started moving up the stairs, causing Hazel to suddenly stop attacking you and fly at your father, straight down the stairs. Hazel, or this creature that looked like Hazel, missed your dad completely and basically just flung herself down the stairs. That fall should have killed her or broken a bone at the very least, but she hit the bottom and just got straight back up, then turned to look at the two of you. The croaking and shrieking coming from your parents room was now partnered with sirens and helicopters outside. You didnât know what was happening but you knew everything was changing much too fast for your liking.Â
Hazel stood there, staring at you and your father, and started twitching. Similarly to how she had while you were doing her makeup, but more violent. She opened her mouth and in the light from the lamp in the living room and the one above the stairs you could see that there was a tendril-looking plant coming out of your sister's mouth that was moving on its own. You almost thought you were hallucinating. Something compelled your father to move. He barreled down the few stairs heâd come up and grabbed your sister by the neck like he was about to choke her, moving her head up to immobilize it. He studied her for a second before throwing her in the kitchen pantry and shutting the door. She started croaking again. But now she was also screaming. Not the shrieks from before, it sounded like the Hazel you knew. Screams sheâd make when she saw a bug or got dirt on her hands. Screams she made when she fell off her bike. Screams like how she should have screamed when she flung herself down the stairs.Â
Your dad calling your name brought you out of your daze. âI need you to grab something heavy that I can put in front of the door,â he shouted over Hazel and your motherâs screams. Youâd never heard so much noise. So much unpleasant noise and it was loud. Loud. So, so loud. You couldnât think. You could barely will yourself to move from the top of the stairs. Your arms stung and were sticky with blood pouring from where Hazel had scratched you. Could you even say that was Hazel? A more concerning bang from your parents door made you run down the stairs much faster. You could take Hazel in a fight like that, but definitely not your mother. Thankfully, the door held through. You donât know where you found the strength to push the DVD cabinet in front of the pantry door. Just a few hours ago you were searching through it to find Harry Potter, and now youâre using it to trap your âsisterâ in the pantry.Â
âWhat is happening?â You frantically asked your father. More like yelling at your father over the noise. You just needed it to stop being so loud so you could think.Â
âI donât know.â Your father moved from the pantry door that was barely holding on due to your sister trying to break through it. She isnât that strong. She canât be that strong? Your dad turns the TV on to see news reports of towns and cities on fire, people killing what looks like other people before cameras could cut away. The signal was barely pulling through, but you could see enough. When the signal was fully cut out, your dad moved to the radio, where they were talking about people who were acting similar to your mom and sister, and how theyâre not safe and people need to run or kill them. Then there were croaks and screams and the signal went out and all you heard from the radio was static. Static, screaming, shrieking, your fatherâs heavy breathing, you couldnât comprehend what was happening.
âGo to your room, shut the door, lock it, and stay in there until I come get you,â your father moved over to his desk in his office and took his gun out of the drawer and loaded it.
âDadâŚ? What the fuck are you doing?â You followed him, but suddenly heard gunshots in the distance and more sirens and you both looked out the window. It was rare to hear sirens all the way out where you lived, so you both knew that if you could hear them, it didn't mean anything good.
âWhat everyone else is,â he said, turning from the window to look at you. He moved to where you were at the front of his office and you could see the conflict in his eyes when he looked at you. âI donât want this on your conscience.â You couldnât hold it in anymore. You started to cry. You cried, the shrieks blending in with your sobs. You so desperately wanted to wake up from this nightmare.
âI know sweetheart, Iâm sorry.â You looked up and your father was crying too. In your 14 years of life you had never seen your dad cry. That scared you even more.Â
âGo in your room,â he said sternly, trying to hide his emotions and tears. You wordlessly followed his orders, taking one last look at the pantry, the pounding on the door was going to be the last thing you saw your sister do alive. Your father was about to kill your sister, and your mother. And you were not only letting him, you almost felt thankful. They wonât have to suffer anymore. At the top of the stairs, right before the door to your room, you watched the pounding on the door to your parents room too before slipping into your room and closing the door, locking it, and staying there. Just as you were told. Youâd always been a rule follower, but you just never thought it would be something like this.
A few minutes passed before you heard the DVD cabinet get moved and the pantry door finally break open. You assumed your dad had to talk himself into what he was about to. Then you heard it. Bang. A set of croaking stopped and you heard your dadâs sobs as he climbed up the stairs. You sobbed into the pillows of your bed. Then you heard the same thing as before, the door opened, and then the gun went off.
Bang.
And youâre met with silence, but this time you donât like it.
â
6 years later, date unknown, year 2009
It was a beautiful day. Sunny with a soft breeze. You stood at the two matching headstones with the wildflowers youâd gathered, taking the dead ones out of the pot and adding the new ones. You and your father had stolen the headstones a few weeks after outbreak day. You couldnât even really say stolen. The owner had gotten infected, and no one was really around to stop you. You and your father carved their names into them that night and wheelbarrowed them over to where you buried them the next morning. Lillian Rose and Hazel Elizabeth. You saw their bodies, for closure purposes. Both with a bullet in the head and cordyceps, you now knew, in their mouths. They didnât look like them, which helped only a little bit because it didnât help any with the fact they were dead.Â
Your father and you drove into town the morning after and got a little bit of information. What law enforcement had told them to do in town, none of them apparently cared enough to go out to the countryside assuming we were all dead. Then what we knew so far about the people being dubbed âthe infected,â it passed through bites so you were okay since you only got scratched but you and your dad were both on edge for a few days. And that the town leaders left were calling for a meeting to see who was alive and who wasnât.Â
Out of the 450 people in Hazel, 25 people remained. Two of which being you and your father, so 23 others. Most of them were the only ones of their families to survive. It seemed like if you didnât get sick, a family member bit you before you could do anything or register what was happening. That seemed to be what happened to your neighbors. Your dad killed a lot of infected people that day, including Madison and her family. It seemed like her parents had gotten sick and attacked her because she had a bite mark and they didnât.
The general consensus of the meeting was that you can try to make it to what eventually became the Nashville QZ, at the time it was just a government support station, because it was closer than the Frankfort one or you can stay here and play survival. Most of the older people decided to try to make it to the QZ, but you and your dad decided to stay. You both felt safer in your own hands rather than someone elseâs. After some cars were stocked with people, gas, and food you sent over half of who were left away.
You started playing adult that day. Your father asked for your opinion on every decision setting up this new version of your father-daughter relationship as partners and equals, knowing the two of you were really the only ones you could trust. Youâd gone through everything the two of you did that day, why hadnât you two gotten sick? You figured it out before the authorities did that it was probably flour. The only common thing you and your dad had done was not eat something with flour. Even six years later you think about what might have happened if you had eaten the cookie and gotten sick or if you and your dad had decided to order pizza instead of just eating popcorn and got sick.Â
You raided the market for non-perishable goods first, then houses. You stepped over bodies, infected and not. You gathered a hell of a lot of gas and stuff for your farm animals. Living off of your land and what you could find was hard, but after you heard about what was going on in the local QZs you were glad you and your father decided to stay.
You were already pretty outdoorsy, but your father taught you even more. You had your own gun now, you practiced throwing knives in your spare time, and you helped with the butchering now and again. You tried to stay good, itâs what your mom would have wanted, so the occasional straggler was given a meal and a place to sleep for the night before âgentlyâ being told to get on their way. You rarely ran into infected, but when you did, you killed them with ease. Your dad hated when you wouldnât let him do it. He was still trying to preserve some kind of innocence he thought was left in you.
You canât lie to yourself, the apocalypse and the world shutting down requiring you to work more combined with the fact you had just gotten older had given you the looks you wished you had at 14. You could tell by the way men looked at you when they stopped by your house, and because you werenât blind. You were 20 now, your body was now fully developed, your hair was long, youâd gotten slightly taller, and your body was thinner and more toned.Â
You and your dad decided to do one of your rare visits to town to find some cars to get gas out of and maybe check in with the people and make sure theyâre doing okay. Out of everyone left in Hazel, you were significantly better off than most people because of the farm and just being more able bodied. There werenât a lot of families in Hazel, most of them were in the next town over, so it was a lot of middle to late aged people just doing what they could and trading with you and your dad for food. You certainly werenât living luxuriously or comfortably per say, but your worries were certainly less than others.
Your dad headed into one of the antique shops on main street to see if they still had anything of value. You both ignored the fact this was where your mom worked, and that youâd searched this one hundreds of times, rarely finding anything, and you were only here because it made you feel closer to her. Then you saw them, straight in front of you. A group of people youâd never seen before. Theyâd just walked out of what used to be the local bar and it looks like they found a stash the other people in town had either been saving or hadnât found yet. The man at the front of the group noticed you first then said something to the others that made them look your way. It immediately made you worry, youâre used to taking one, maybe two people in for a night but not⌠8.
âDad?â You called softly trying not to give off that you were scared but with enough urgency that he came out immediately. He too noticed what you had seen and that they were headed right towards you.
âFuck,â he said taking his gun out from behind his back and holding it down at his side, as did you.
âWell hellooo there,â the man who was in front said with a bit of a southern accent, âwho might we have here to bless us?â
âMike, how about you?â your father said and you smirked.
âWell Iâm Ryan, and weâre just a group of people trying to get by, you think you could help us with that?â You scanned over the group of them, out of the 8 only 2 were female, but they all looked set to kill you and your father at any second. But there were two men in the back, however, who looked uncomfortable. They looked similar enough to be at least related, maybe brothers. One was taller and more well built than the other who was only slightly shorter but skinnier and with more defined muscles but you could tell they could both pick you up one handed and throw you down with ease. The taller one definitely caught your eye the longest, he looked like heâd seen some things.
âThat depends, what exactly do you want from us?â Your father did the talking and like always you did the observing.
âSome food to start, our location, and maybe something fun for later,â Ryan said, eyeing you. Bold. Now you had to speak up.
âI donât know what you had in mind but I can guarantee my idea of fun and yours may not be the same,â you said softly but not unstrong. You can sense that he doesnât like hearing no so youâll at least be gentle about it.
âOh please enlighten me,â he said, taking a step toward you. You took a step toward him.
âI like to throw knives, and I can think of a target I could practice with, if it's not too small,â you say, giving him a sweet smile. The other members of the group giggle and this Ryan guy backs off.
âArenât you just a sweet peach,â he said sarcastically.
âNow, we can help with the food and location, but if youâre going to stay here youâre going to follow our rules. Got it?â You said.
âNow what makes you think weâre gonna wanna abide by that?â Ryan says.
âBecause you wouldnât be asking us for help if you didnât need it, and looks to me like this girl over here is coming down with something so you need medication too. I can also tell that you all are longing for a good night's rest and havenât eaten well in a few days, so if you want any of that, you're gonna listen to us.â Your observations seemed to sway them because soon enough they were in the bed of your dadâs pickup and you were headed back to your house.
âÂ
You all exchanged information and food. They snarfed their meals and you couldnât blame them. You learned most of them were from Texas but a few were from Louisiana and Mississippi. They were traveling north, apparently the QZs in the bigger cities like Boston and Philadelphia were doing better than the Kentucky ones so they were trying to make it there because life in the open was getting harder and harder. You learned that the FEDRA people had finally developed a test for cordyceps that pinched you in the neck and the reader would light up green or red. But the most thought provoking thing you learned was about raiders and FEDRA raids. You and your dad had thought the FEDRA raids were over, but apparently they were still going out on random raids to try to collect people. Not things or supplies, people. And then killing them because dead people canât get infected. But the sound of raiders just terrified you. You figured the people in front of you were raiders of a sort but they seemed to be on the better end of whatâs out there.
âWe only kill if they attack us first, raiders kill first,â a woman named Sasha said. You looked at your dad and you could see the thoughts crossing his mind. We wonât be safe from any of that.Â
âIf you think it would be best, youâre welcome to join us. Your food supplies should get us most of the way there and if we can ride in your truck it would help us get there faster. Try to find better lives for all of us,â another guy whose name you havenât been told yet said.
âYeah, thatâs a good idea Blake, but weâll have to let them think about it,â Ryan said in response.Â
You looked at your dad shrugging your shoulders slightly, âItâs not a bad idea, weâll eventually run out of things here and one dry season and that's it.â Your dad looks at you slowly and you try to communicate with your eyes what youâre really thinking. Itâs an opportunity to get out of here with actual able bodied help to maybe find somewhere easier.
âOkay,â he says to you first, âokay,â he says again directed at Ryan.
You picked up some of the dishes and headed into the kitchen to start washing them. You quickly grabbed the extra soap from the pantry and a common thought of yours crossed your mind, that you didnât have to open the door anymore. You heard footsteps behind you and who you expected to be your father was actually the two men you had guessed were brothers, carrying the other dishes.Â
âOh, well thanksâŚâ you said, a little surprised.
âYeah, no problem,â the younger one said with a real southern drawl you hadnât heard in a long time, âIâm Tommy by the way. And this is my older brotherâŚâÂ
âJoel.â

Remember a Time X
Series: Â (Pt.1), (P.t 2), (P.t 3), (P.t 4), (P.t 5), (P.t 6), (P.t 7), (P.t 8), (P.t 9) Wanda Maximoff x Fem! Reader, Natasha Romanoff x Fem! Reader ;) (High school Au ) No Powers Word count: 1907 aproxx A/n: It's me again for the few of you still keeping up with this little story. I present you with an update. One should be up next week I mean it this time It's done just needs editing. Anyways hope you enjoy I'm really trying to get past this writers block, thanks for being patient <3
There was officially only two months left till you moved to California, and time felt like it was flying. Both you and Natasha had been apartment hunting, unfortunately you couldn't find a suitable apparent for the two of you, so you both opted to search for apartments individually. You were bummed at the beginning but soon realized that it would facilitate things for the both of you. More so your dad knocked some well needed sense into your head. As much as he liked Natasha things could end badly and then you'd both be stuck in a bad situation. It was for the best you had decided. "You know, I'm basically going to be living with you on the weekends and when I don't have class. We survived being a continent away. We'll survive a couple of miles." You nodded confidently, agreeing with her. "I'll survive. Not sure you will, with your horrible cooking skills." You jabbed.
She laughed, but then the reality set in. She wouldn't have her mothers cooking, and now she wouldn't have yours which paled in comparison to Melina's. But yours was still better than hers. "That's actually so unsettling. What am I going to do? I can't cook I'll actually somehow poison myself." You chuckled lightly. "I'll just have to teach you the basics, you know nothing compared to Melina's cooking but you know the basics." She smiled somewhat relieved at the prospect of you teaching her to cook. Melina had tried many times throughout her daughter's life, but she simply gave up. Her patience wore out and Natasha couldnât blame her for that. "I would actually really appreciate that." You nodded. "Well in that case, every day till we move at the end of the day we'll practice." You shook on it. Other preparations had to be made, but mostly everything that you could handle was done. Your parents had actually already gone out ahead of time to set up your apartment with all the things you'd need to live comfortably. Your parents only really wanted you to focus on the academics of it all and for you to enjoy yourself in the process.Â
"Natasha we're two weeks into this!" You exclaimed when you looked into the pan only to see the 'scrambled eggs'. "What's wrong with them this time?" She asked, frustrated. "They're going to be really crunchy nat." You said, you could visibly see pieces of shell sticking out. "That's just personal preference, I happen to like my eggs crunchy." You laughed. "You didn't burn them this time so we're making progress. I'm proud." You started looking at her sweetly. "Do I get rewarded for this 'progress'?" She asked teasingly, tilting her head a small smirk on her face. You pretended to think about it. You rushed and kissed her, and before she could really think about it you started peppering her face with small kisses. With one final peck of the lips you smiled softly. "If this is what I get for progress, I'll start practicing all the time." She joked clearly, still flustered. "You'll get a nice surprise when you serve me a thoroughly cooked piece of chicken." You wiggled your eyebrows suggestively. At that Natasha did manage to laugh.
Although you wanted to, you couldn't spend every waking moment with Natasha. So you and Tony would be found making future plans and arrangements. "We have to do Christmas again like last year." He said fondly. You smiled and nodded. "Let's do New Year's. I kinda actually want to spend this Christmas with our families." You were thinking and planning for your future self. "I think I'm really going to miss my folks when I'm gone." You said. "Not me, I couldn't get away from them any faster." He teased, and you laughed, Tony always had a good poker face. But, you know deep down he's going to miss his [arents too although he would be seeing his more often than you would.. "But your choice if you want to do a family Christmas this year that's what we'll do." You almost laughed at the change of tone. "You know I think Pietro is doing a thing later today If you want to go with." You only shook your head. "Come on Y/n piet's been bugging me. He just wants to spend some time with you. He misses you." Before you could say anything again he interrupted you. "It'll only be you and him. If you want me to, I'll stick around. Just, he's your friend too." You sighed. "You're right. I can't just run away from it because it's complicated." Tony nodded. "As much as I don't like his sister right now, he's not a bad guy." The thought escaped Tony's mouth before he could think it through. âYou know you really like to meddle in my life.â He laughed. âWell someone has to, if I don't do it who will?â
The mere possibility that youâd have to face Wanda again almost had you drive away from the house youâd become very familiar with. You didn't know what to feel anymore. Wanda was not objectively horrible you knew that, but you also knew that you would very likely end up hating her if you stayed by her side. Youâre knocked out of your thoughts when the passenger door of your car pops open. "You didn't tell her right?" The words flew out of your mouth before you could even think to stop them. "She's not here, you don't have to worry." He said simply. "Where do you want to go?" You asked. He thought about it for a while. "We can just drive. I don't really want to do this with a bunch of people around." You nodded and managed to drive a decent while before he spoke again. âYou and Wanda have put me in an impossible position. Itâs hard for me because I see the two of you and it makes me sad. How things managed to get so out of hand I donât know.â You listened and managed to articulate the words. âI will never make you chooseâŚâ He nodded. âI know, but I need you to understand that I couldnât if you asked, even if Wanda asked.âÂ
You smiled slightly. âI care for you both, and I sympathize with you. So please donât write me off. Youâre my sister too.â You felt lighter by the time you dropped him off, a full tank of gas later. "I think we should do this more often." He said before he stepped out of the car. You laughed nodding along with him. "I'm sure we can find the time before we leave..." Behind you, you saw headlights pull up. Both you and Pietro tensed slightly, before breaking out into laughter. You felt like you'd been caught with your hand in the cookie jar. You could tell it was Vision's car, but you couldn't really be bothered, you'd had a good time with Pietro and It was all that mattered. "You better step out before either of them start walking up to my car." You threatened playfully. "What? You aren't going to walk me to the door and kiss me goodnight?" He pouted referencing when youâd play house as kids. You laughed. "You'd like that wouldn't you!" You settled and placed a small peck on his cheek. "There, that should hold you over for the time being." He nodded. "I'll see you around y/n?" You nodded. And with that he stepped out and you stepped on the gas.
Not that you had to, Wanda had already exited Vision's car, She was now expectantly waiting for her brother to walk through the door. As soon as the door knob turned she was on her brother. âWhy didnât you tell me Y/n was coming over?â He sighed. âBecause she doesnât want to see you, If Iâd told you, you wouldâve stuck around.â He tried moving past his sister but she stopped him again. âHow is she? Is she okay, what did you guys do?â She asked the questions one after the next. âGood, yes, and we talked.â He listed off. âI told her I wasnât going to choose sides or anything of the sort.â Wanda was about to rebute but he managed to cut her off before she did. âI donât get you Wanda, I know you.â He said. âI know you love her, I know it! And you somehow got us here.â His words caught her off guard. âShe loved you, and you loved her. Why are we here?â She sighed. âI didnât know, I-i didnât realize. I freaked when Tony said what he said at the party.â He nodded. âThere's no turning back now.â He squeezed her shoulder pulling her in. âGive her time, it will work out. I know it will.â Wanda nodded, the weight of it settling on her shoulders. She released a shaky breath. âSheâs with Natasha⌠Natasha loves her.â Her eyes met her brothers. He nodded. âYouâre with Vision, things will fall into place. The universe works in mysterious ways haven't you heard?â He said, pulling his sister into a warm hug.
When you got home that night you werenât expecting what was waiting for you when you crossed the door. It was almost as if the universe was showing you what was for you. There were roses lining the hallway, and an amazing smell coming from your kitchen. Where she was wearing a beautiful apron, and a rather large bouquet or roses on the dinner table that was already set and ready to go. It had been only a couple of weeks since Natasha had made the world's crunchiest eggs. And here she was, full on dinner made by her you were assuming. âI was waiting for you.â She said taking a kitchen towel to wipe her hands. âNot too long I hope⌠Did you do all this.â You asked somewhat awestruck. She nodded. âIâve submitted myself to my mothers cooking school again, because I wanted to do this for you, I wanted to make you proud.â You couldnât help but smile. âWhat did you make?â Thatâs when you saw her smile turn to a smirk. âRoasted chicken, and some potatoes which, if I do say so, are amazing.â You almost choked on air.Â
Everything about that night was perfect. She was perfect and she made you feel perfect. Dinner was all you could hope for, and afterwards a promise was a promise. âAre you sure you want to do this?â Sheâs asked for the umpteenth time. âUndoubtedly sure.â You spent that night in her arms, kissing her and it was perfect. It was everything you imagined, she was everything you imagined. Waking up next to her this time made you feel like you should wake up next to her forever. So you said it, quietly but surely. âI want to wake up next to you forever.â Natasha was asleep. At least thatâs what you thought, she didnât make any sudden movement and her breath was steady enough, you were sure she was asleep. That was until she spoke. âI think I would like thatâŚâ She brought your hand to her mouth and placed a small kiss on it. âNo, I would love it.â She amended. You wanted to cry at how good she was, how good she was with you. Everything was good there in your bubble.

DP x HP Crossover Prompt
Okay so I donât know why I need this but I do and have been thinking about it a lot.
There arenât that many fics where Draco and Danny are brothers but I am so here for it. Hear me out. Not twins per say , a couple years apart and Danny is most likely younger. ListenâŚ
Danny stolen as a baby, hired by someone who lost much in the war and wanted to give the Malfoyâs what they âdeservedâ. As a way to teach then a lesson the hired kidnapper decides to leave them with muggles, but not just any muggles, witch hunters. Thatâs right, the Fentons continue their ancestors work of hunting the supernatural, specifically witches.
Due to some spell or artifact, Danny is unable to be tracked and the Malfoyâs are forced to believe their second son is dead. It isnât until their sonâs name is written on the envelope for his Hogwarts letter because magic. Danny is eleven and Draco is in his fourth year.
The Malfoy parents, Severus Snape who is also the boyâs godfather, and a Ministry official all go to the address on the letter and find the Fentonâs. As a whole they are not impressed with the Fenton parents or their eccentricities.
They establish they are there to talk about the boy that lives there and the Fentons are confused but sure âoh you mean our son Danny!â Both of the Malfoyâs and Snape sneer at the plebeian name which of course the Fentons donât notice.
They call him down and Danny slows to a stop as soon as he looks over the âguestsâ. Because yes heâs made friends with the local clockmaker who is kind of a grandfather to him and is a squib. He confined in the older man about the weird things that happen around him sometimes and Clocky has answers and explains about magic. Danny knows that these people are wizards and witches. Was this about his Hogwarts letter Clocky told him he should be getting? Do they know what his parents do for a living?
Narcissa and Lucius on the other hand are staring at this boy in recognition. The coal colored hair and jawline were unmistakably from the Black side of the family. The straight nose and body shape however came from the Malfoy side. A perfect mix of both parents.
Introductions are made and they can see the understanding in the boyâs eyes when Snape says heâs the potions master at Hogwarts. The Fentons donât catch it, but they were studying the boy with hawk-like attention.
âPotions?â The large Fenton asks suspiciously.
Before they can start explaining why they were really here, the boy, their boy speaks up nervously.
âHe means chemistry! They call it differently because Hogwarts is a special school,â he lies without remorse.
Yes, this was their son.
âSpecial school? Like for gifted students?â The woman Fenton clarifies.
Danny glances at them anxiously.
âYea! Like that.â
The parents donât ask him how he knows about Hogwarts even though this should be his first time hearing of it. Instead the woman turns to them in confusion.
âThen why did you ask for Danny? Did you mean our daughter?â
âOh! Jazzy-pants is super smart, already reading college books I tell ya!â
They donât notice Dannyâs face crumble and his confidence wither right in front of them. Narcissa wanted to tear these people apart for being responsible for the bright light in his gorgeous crystal blue eyes dimming in self-doubt.
âActually, it is different than you are thinking, we are wi-â
âMom, Dad, did you tell them what you do?â Danny interrupts urgently.
âYoung man-â the Ministry official continues.
âThatâs a great idea, Dann-o!â
Which leads to explaining they are witch hunters and they all just stand there processing what they were just told and figuring out how to go about this. And they look at Danny who gives them a âsee?â look that explains the interruptions. He was protecting them.
Oh he was definitely their son.
Danny eventually goes with them because duh and he finds out the name he was born with.
âCorvus? Like the constellation? The crow?â
Narcissa is so proud of her son, he already knows the stars and the story to his name.
There are some bumps in the road with Draco and him getting along, and yelling at Lucius for mistreating the elves because they have feelings too, and adjusting to wizarding life in general.
Danny (Corvus) mets Tucker, a muggleborn who was kinda in the same boat as him with learning this whole world, and Sam, a pure blood witch whoâs parents were both Hufflepuffs but her grandmother is a seer and she might have inherited that gift.
Danny on the other hand seems to have gotten a gift from his motherâs side as well. Necromancy. Thus starts their adventures of skirting around the professors to learn magic for each of them that are not encouraged. Danny with necromancy, Sam with her seer abilities, and Tucker finds an interest in runes and arithmacy.
Donât know about an actual plot but I think the idea could have potential. Itâd also be funny if all three of them get sorted together in either Slytherin or Hufflepuff. And Draco trying to be a good brother, has warned him about a bunch of things before going to Hogwarts, one of them being Harry Potter and the golden trio. The first time Danny and his friends meet the golden trio, Ron makes a comment about him whether itâs about him being another snake or another Malfoy. Danny just blinks and they just look at each other.
âMy brother was right about you. You guys are bullies.â And walks passed them, Sam shoulder-checks him and Tucker gives them the stank eye.
âWHATâ
Draco just being fiercely protective of his little brother he thought was dead. Danny being the baby of the family and the parents actually trying to do better to make him happy.
I just really enjoy this for some reason.

i want to know you. human!neteyam x reader (highschool AU)
i wish cupid existed⌠(chapter one)
this is the first chapter, i hope itâs a nice read :-)
previous chapterâŚ
a new day brought another chance! it had been a couple days in between your last encounter with the boy. so you got up extra early to put a bit more effort into your appearance. you wanted to present yourself as a nice and organized person, compared to the lazy one you always were. as you were getting ready, you got a notification on your phone.
âneteyyam has followed you on instagram. follow back?â
holy crap! he followed you? you were conflicted on whether or not to message him, but you followed him back and left it at that. after all, youâd be seeing him at school. maybe today would be the day you two would talk!
you finished getting ready and left your home, waving goodbye to your parents. you sat at the bus stop, waiting for it to arrive. as it pulls up and you get on, you see some familiar faces. it was your good friend kiri, and the rest of her siblings, including neteyamâŚ
as kiri excitedly waved you down to come sit with her, you had so many thoughts running through your head. âwhat if he brings up the fact that i didnât message him?â, âi didnât know they rode this bus routeâŚâ, âshould i have texted him?â and overall, âwhy didnât kiri tell me!!â.
you sat down and kiri began excitedly chatting with you about what the day could bring, things like lunch foods, classes, and what you all would do in gym. meanwhile, all you could think about was him. should you try talking to him?
âoh, good morning neteyam and kiri! i didnât expect to see you guys so early, usually no one rides this bus route.â you said.
he just gave an affirming nod and a small wave, so much for trying to spark a conversationâŚ
you just continued talking with kiri, letting it go and taking your mind off it. soon you arrived at the school, you two happily greeting tsireya and hugging each other.
âi see you and kiri arrived together⌠was he on the bus as well?â tsireya said as she giggled and poked you in the stomach playfully.
âquit teasing, âreya!â kiri laughed, âyou know (yn) is hopelessly in love with my idiot older brotherâŚâ she said as she swooned dramatically. âguysâŚâ you pouted and frowned at them.
they continued walking and laughing without you as you stood still in the hallway sulking. you were standing there, lost in your thoughts as you felt someone bump into your back. âoh, iâm sorry-!â you began until you turned around to see neteyam. how embarrassingâŚ
âoh, my bad. didnât see you there.â he said and nodded down at you even though you werenât much shorter than the boy. âhm.â he grunted and looked confusedly at you. âwhereâs my sister and your friend? did they leave you behind?â he let out a small chuckle while saying this. âohâŚâ you giggled uncomfortably, âyeah, i had to stop at my locker, so i told them to go ahead without me.â he nodded approvingly and looked pleased. how could he be happy your dumb (but lovely!) friends left you?
âyou know how to open these lockers? could i bother you to teach me at lunchâŚ?â he asked shyly. âum, of course! itâs really simple, iâm sure it wonât even take the whole period!â you said with a kind smile.
âcool, thanks. iâll see you then?â he said as he began walking away cooly, looking just as unattainable as ever.
you watched him walk away and turn the corner as you went to your locker. âcould this be a blessing from cupid?!â you thought. after you finished putting your things up and touching up your appearance, you slammed your locker and frantically went to go find your friends so you could tell them about what would happen at lunch so they wouldnât potentially embarrass you.
âhe what!?â said tsireya, looking shocked as you all were chatting in math class, waiting for class to begin. kiri didnât sit with you two, so she was standing over your desk, looking dissatisfied.
âno way heâs sitting with usâŚâ she said, frowning. âi live with him, and now i have to eat lunch with him too?â the girl complains.
âwhat can i say? the heart wants what it wants, kiri!â tsireya remarks and winks at you.
âof course you would say something like thatâŚâ kiri grumbles, alluding to the fact that tsireya has a small crush on her other brother, loâak. âwhat is it with you two and my family members?? remind me never to show you pictures of my dad.â you just smiled and laughed with them as you thought about how the rest of the day would be.
soon after, kiri returned to her desk and the teacher began lecturing. so boring⌠you would much rather daydream about what would happen at lunch today. would it go well? you hoped so. after hours of monotonous, boring classes, lunchtime finally rolled around.
maybe this opportunity would be your guiding light.

Actually, it kind of makes what my step mother and father pulled when I moved out extra hilarious.
Okay, so to set the stage, I was being told by more than one doctor that if I didn't leave my parents house, the stress of living there alone would kill me with or without my cooperation by simply shutting down my organs. It was that bad. I could assure them I would never hurt myself till I was blue in the face, but they were like "well sweetie at this point staying there at all is self harm"... I was doing about 1000 sit-ups every night to be able to fall asleep at all by the time it got to the worst of it, and then only sleeping 2 hours max before the lights were turned on in the morning... For reference. I was beyond anemic and exhausted but I still couldn't exhaust myself enough to sleep and I had to sneak out of school to go to the doctors because they didn't want me going.
So I tried to leave the first time when I was 14, this did not go over well. My 'boyfriend' at the time was really happy to try to convince me I should just leave my parents and he'd take care of me, until I actually seemed convince to leave but still not fuck him. So suddenly, he was happier to conspire with my step mother to convince me I couldn't leave.
And we'll get into the whole fucking "my stalker and want-to-be-rapist boyfriend is conspiring with my step mother to control me, and they both think they are using each other" issue later, some time, eventually. It will make you want to light things -or people- on fire, probably. But that's off topic.
What's on topic, now, is that at 14 I tried to simply pack my bag and not return from school, and stay wherever he was staying, but when trying to fuck me continued to not work, suddenly he's telling me that if I even show up at school to keep going to my classes I will be arrested and brought home, whether I have had my "3 days grace" or not, and I am getting the exact same line in overly similar wording from my parents... But whatever, i went back so I could avoid falling behind at school.
But from that point on they knew I wanted to leave. And they knew the moment I turned 16 they legally wouldn't be able to stop me.
My birthday is in November, and no matter how poorly they treated me while I was there, they certainly got even more upset when I tried to go. They tried making sure I had no money, never letting me have a job, and they made me do as many chores as they could without actually teaching me a few key life skills to make it on my own, like -for example- I got in trouble for ever trying to cook, and they wouldn't show me how, unless it was making the same stupid salad to go with dinner every night for 6 years, or frying bacon for my stepmother's lunch that I wasn't allowed to eat... Anyway the point was I figured I would give them one more family x-mas before leaving.
Part of me was curious. The point of contention every year for birthdays and x-mas were that we were supposed to request gifts that would work out to 100$ each. But everything I suggested was vetoed as "messy" or "not a good gift"... So practical things like hair ties, the good white erasers or batteries were off the list, good pencil crayons, drawing supplies and etc, gods forbid paint, was forbidden because I would "make a mess with it"... Saving up the 100 myself in an account from each event wasn't allowed. Basically anything I actually asked for I was told I didn't need/want/get that. So in the end they acted like the problem was that I wasn't telling them I wanted anything and they'd buy me something really gendered, or movies that would vanish into my step mother's Disney movie collection never to be mine again anyway... And I wanted to see what they would do when they knew they had one chance to somehow convince me to stay.
Suddenly, they proved that they had been hearing me all along and just choosing not to listen. I got a green bath robe, something practical comfortable and not pink, I got green frog slippers, some frog plushies, statues [I was into frogs and reptiles and the like] and nothing -suddenly- was pink or a girl's toy, or girl's clothes, and it was suddenly okay to give me practical gifts [which were the kind of thing they did not normally buy us or let us spend our allowance on, so I am not sure how else they expected us to come across those things anyway...]
And you would think... You would think that this would impress someone at 16 who was used to having everything about them either willfully ignored or criticized... But what it did was really demonstrate that they had been plenty capable of paying attention and letting me pick out what I wanted all along and had just been trying to needlessly control how I spent my time and what I could express [truly to a useless degree that... Like what was your goal, even?]. If art supplies were too messy for me why did my stepsister get to have them? She was only two years older, and then I got to be her age and the answer was still no. Suddenly eraser bits weren't just something that would get ground into the carpet, etc... These excuses were always flimsy, but they had fully fallen apart at this point... And now the only reason they were being remotely attentive or kind was because they knew I could up and chose to live with any adult willing to take me in.
Suddenly I didn't need to be grounded constantly for breathing the wrong way or be made to do chores 10 times over during every Saturday morning until I had "done it right" and missed all my shows... Sure, but I knew that would backtrack the moment they felt secure again about me staying, just like how my step mother had backtracked on everything the -mandated- family counselor had suggested the moment it was clear my father wouldn't have anything to say about it and just like she backtracked on who those movies belonged to...
Really nothing they could have done that x-mas wouldn't have been the final nail in the coffin. Nothing short of setting me up with my own savings account, letting me find a job, teaching me to cook and letting me use up resources to teach myself what I wanted to, even if it was "messy"... Nothing short of turning into actual parents trying to enable me to have agency over my own life, and that was never going to happen.
After 6 years of constant criticism, no support with anything, being used to do almost 100% of the housework in a household of 5, ZERO FUCKING PRIVACY AS A TEENAGER, the constant threat that if I didn't bow the verbal violence would become physical [from my step mother], zero ability to go to them with anything, being blamed for anything other people tried to do to me, shamed for how I spoke, how I walked, how tired I looked, shamed for being hungry, for trying to eat more food, for the narratives my step mother made up about me in her head and then punished me for with zero input from me... I was never really going to be able to trust them enough to stay, not without them giving me the kind of genuine freedom that would let me walk away from them at any given moment, which they weren't going to give me.
So I left, of course, shortly after.
Keeping your child dependent on you doesn't necessarily make them stay, it just makes it more dangerous and harder on them when they do leave.
I packed my stuff into a big black garbage bag and went to a friend's house until my aunt could come and pick me up. [Moving in with her was a mistake too, she also conspired with my -then stalker- to try to talk me into letting him back into my life in exchange for what she assumed was accurate information about me that she could use... I really should get into the full extent of the bullshit this guy pulled and the level of bullshit my -parents- tried to HELP him pull... but that's off topic!]
And for months they were trying to tell me how worried they were and how it scared them I was missing and how they just wanted me to come back and how I was free to come "home" at any time... Even though they clearly knew I would leave at some point... so me and any medications I was taking and my toothbrush etc disappearing in the night can't have been scary, a kidnapper wouldn't take me, leave my little sister [same bedroom] and take my fucking toothbrush and school books...
Whatever, they eventually convinced me to come back for a dinner for one night to basically debrief about the whole leaving thing... And yes, I made sure I was serving myself out of the same dishes as everyone else, because at that point I had zero fucking trust about anything with them, I was starting to remember a lot of stuff and figure out a lot of stuff all at once about my step mother's using my stalkery ex as a spy all along and about times I had been filmed without my consent or knowledge, tracked using my cellphone which was why they were forcing me to have one, etc... [story for another time you will have violent thoughts about it] Eugh, even just the willfully isolating me from any friend who was actually supportive or who had healthy parents who would question how they were treating me... I was starting to clue into how all my good friendships kept falling apart. Getting grounded for "attitude" any time I came back from their house happy, not being allowed to call them, having letters to them never make it out, or their replies never make it back, etc and so forth. Most of it was my step mother -for the record- but my dad watched it happen.
But the point, the real point is I showed up and they were late. Maybe they missed the part where I am always the fuck on time.
I got a call telling me they would be a while and apologizing... Or I called them, idk.
And I was like cool, but I still have my key, I could just let myself in and wait on the couch until you all get in, if you are cool with that.
And my dad has to tell me... 'It isn't that I don't trust you'... It's that we already changed all the locks [pretty much the moment you left].
Because making sure I couldn't get back in was more important to them than making sure I had someplace 'safe' to go back to in the event that something went really wrong. And they used the excuse that my 'delinquent' [her words] friends could have my key copied without me even knowing, but they should know my key never leaves my pocket, I don't get drunk or high, and the only reason my friends were considered rebels is because they were all queer. They were gay, fruity af, not like, lighting fires in department stores or breaking and entering...
But me? I could have let myself back into that house 10 different ways if I wanted to, key or no key. I lived there for 6 years. If I had wanted to break in and take their shit I already had that place 'cased' down to a detail and knew all their habits and schedules, why the fuck did they think I would need a key?
But I took their precaution as a polite request not to enter.
And I sat out there, chilly or not, and waited looking at her rose bushes until they got back.
Because all they had to do was ask. And if they knew me at all they would have known that. They would have known that everything John was telling them about me was fake af and that he was setting me up, and they would have known that all they had to do was ASK ME for my key back. if they were uncomfortable. I would have handed it over.
All I ever did was do my chores, try to keep my head down and try to do my fucking school work, but they had such an *idea* about me built up in their heads -mostly my stepmother- that the moment I left, while very publicly crying about how worried they were... They changed all the locks behind me within the week. as if they were accomplishing something other than endangering me and displaying their mistrust, and how poorly they knew me. Either of my sisters would have been happy to rat them out on how fast that was, so I can't recall which one of them actually told me or if it was both, independently.
This is what happens when you make your child so afraid/disheartened about talking to you about anything that you have to get all your information about what they're "really up to" from a guy who's desperately trying to pit you against them so he can control them enough to get sex out of it. Grade 'A' fucking parenting.
And if I was anyone else it probably would have worked on me, on both counts. I'd be locked into their toxic bullshit and not think I had the option to leave just like my little sister, and letting that manipulative-fuck, John, fuck me. Which is I assume what they wanted, I have to, because my step mother was literally conspiring with him ['a little birdy told me so'] and it's what they got out of my sister isn't it? And her fucked up enough about it and on enough drugs that at some point they were able to take her kids so they'd have kids to raise together as their own from babies, as a couple, the way they never got out of us [stepmother is infertile, we were another woman's kids until I was 10]... And so my dad could have the 'son' he actually wanted [instead of just letting me be a boy???].
I am not -to anyone who has ever known me as an adult- the 'kind' of person you would expect to come with a funny little autobiographical detail like "ha ha, when I left home at 16 my parents immediately changed all the locks, ha ha" because it just wasn't fucking warranted then or at any other time... But here we the fuck are.
#child abuse#rape mention#go figure it was my respect for other people's boundaries that kept your house safe and me being responsible and a light sleeper#I know respecting boundaries and autonomy seems baffling to these people#And then my step mother got all buddy buddy with my aunt and I have reason to believe passed on contact information for John#and I believe this because my aunt spontaneously tried to talk me into getting back together with him when I hadn't mentioned him#or at least ever said anything nice about him#âThat John guy he seems pretty coolâ I believe was what she said to me out of the fucking blue#when already half of what I was running from was him and I never said anything to make him sound 'cool' but I did overhear#some phone conversations that I don't think my aunt realized I was listening to#I could not make this shit up

SHADES OF RED
Fight Club Owner! Sukuna x Wealthy! Reader teaser
Here is the teaser @rinhaler hope you find it interesting
Warnings: swearing, mentions of sexual desire
---------------------------------------------
"Coming up in my club and business is a fucking invasion of privacy, princess. Didn't your parents teach you any form of manners?"
You scoff, turning on your heels fixing him a piercing glare. The audacity he has to call you that. "First off, do not call me princess. Secondly, you are a heinous man for allowing and orchestrating vile legal entities, like this illegal fight club to exist. Thirdly, my parents do not give a flying fuck about my existence."
Sukuna smirks, simply amused by your boldness and sharp tongue. You definitely weren't a cop or some government agent, not with those clothes. "It's called capitalism, sweetheart. Surely you're familiar with that term since you dress like a white collar person."
"I'm a financial broker and a consultant." You clarify, the front of your shoes tapping impatiently while it echoes in the cold but smelly lockeroom, waiting for your cousin to change. You can hear him grumble and huff in irritation about you meddling in his life. The oh so sultry way he said sweetheart made your insides feel repulsed. There was no way you enjoyed him calling you pet names.
"Oh so you should be aware then. You deal with shady clients from time to time so you can't be that stupid. There are far seedy businessmen than me who do worst than what I run. You might have even funded them." The patronizing tone he used boiled your blood. You had half a mind to slap that smirk off his face and the other was to punch his face. You donât care if heâs 6'6 feet with muscles or whatever, you on thin ice with violence tonight. You arenât scared of any man. At least that's what your mind is telling yourself as you are front of the pink-haired male.
"You must get off being so arrogant. That prideful that you had to resort to shady businesses to get through in life?" You smirk with vehemence. Satisfied that the grin was gone and replaced by a scowl, you took it further. "You must have a fucked up life that you needed to get by like a vulture and work your way up-" you were cut off when Sukuna was suddenly in front of you.
The confidence you had inside died instantly when you saw just how dark his face got and those looming red eyes staring at you like you were a dangerous insect. If looks could kill, you'd be incinerated. It was frightening and erotic the way he was towering over you, ready to pounce you like a predator.
"For someone who's a professional businesswoman, you sure got a mouth that acts like they can fucking talk to others however they want." He growls out, the tension so thick, even Hiroshi stopped moving. You couldn't tell if your cousin was scared or not, not when his eyes commanded you to look at him. "You should really be careful with who you're talking too. You think you can just come in here and think you're the shit. Get the fuck outta here with that attitude." Sukuna is keenly aware of your bossy attitude, along with your bravery. He does admire it dearly, but sometimes people like you need to be reminded of their place. He can think of many ways to put you in your place and do the nastiest and sinful things to let you know who's dominant.
"Oh I will." You utter, regaining the bravery back to look at him. "I don't plan on coming back here and neither is Hiroshi."
"No, what the fuck!? You can't just tell me not to come here and force my life around!" The irritated voice of your 18-year old cousin shouts in the lockeroom. He reappears in a black wifebeater tank top, black joggers, a white baseball cap worn backwards and black and white converses. His face, fueled with rage and hurt despite the few yet prominent bruises on his face fills you with regret. Maybe you should have kept a closer eye on him in school.
"Yes you are and I said so. Get your stuff and let's go." You order him, yet he refuses, his toned biceps crossing his chest in indignation.
"Fuck that! Youâre not my mom just because youâre raising me! I am not gonna let you do what you want me to do just because it doesn't go with your "white collar" bullshit!" Hiroshi spat. Your eyes widen in shock for a split second, hurt by how he replied, and Hiroshi knew he fucked up by saying the first words he didn't mean to say. But you instantly regain composure and was about to respond coldly until a deep tone interrupted.
"What a family feud you are causing here." The feigned surprised voice of Sukuna makes you bristle, giving him a death stare. Seriously why is this man even in your presence.
"He can leave tonight. Let him recover and rest from his bruises. But," He looks to you with that same dark expression that sent shivers down your spine, and it was the good kind of shivers, "if you think you can just house arrest my top fighter and micro-manage him, he's part of this world now and can do as much as he pleases, princess. So you shouldn't stop him."
The challenge he declared to you made your competitive side ablaze. You faced him head-on with a fearsome look of your own. "Hiroshi is not coming back here and that's final. Hiroshi, let's go."
What a conceited, self-centered bitch you are. He chuckles in his thoughts. Now he was interested in you and your confidence. Just as she swipes his arm with her shoulder, her classy and expensive heels echoing the tiled floor, he eyes his top fighter who was furious at the thought of being forbidden from coming back here. Sukuna stops Hiroshi by the shoulder, making the IED teen look at him.
"Don't worry kid, you're still allowed here. Can't have my top fighter out of the game now. We'll figure something out, but for now just go home and rest up." He hears Hiroshi grunt out a low "fine" before he storms out of the lockeroom with veiled rage.
As for you...he really is intrigued by your beauty, your confidence and finesse. But that attitude of yours has to be fixed. Give it time and you'll warm up to him soon.

I am excited but nervous to write this series. I hope I did Sukuna justice with his personality here.
