Favorite canon ship(s): I m e a n there’s really no canon ships over here due to Gladion being a crossover in harry potter soooo ?? // tbh I can see him with a bunch of different people within the story though I adore the ship that I have with @doggedfather in the marauders verse I have for him. Her Sirius was the first-ever person that was with Gladion in a shippy like manner and that ship will always have a special place in my heart. <3

Opinion on true love: Is skeptical and has a hard time accepting that a person could ever love him for himself and not for his connection/ riches. He’s extremely wary of people who vide for his affections and more than not will attempt at pushing them away. Depending on the age that he’s at when this is happening there will be various levels of success.

Opinion on love at first sight: in his own words… “Complete and utter hippogriff shit,” He thinks it’s ridiculous and is more likely to believe it was lust at first sight then love. He believes a relationship has to grow from friendship to something more to be true love as what can a relationship be if you’re not friends with the person?

How ‘Romantic’ are they?: Depends on the day and where they’re at- He’s more likely to be overly romantic in private than in public though. He’s not one to do large gestures of his love as he thinks it’s too flashy and hates having people sticking their noses into his love life. His love life is a private affair, though he will do more public things to prove a point to others if they are trying to flirt with his significant other while he’s standing right there.  

Ideal physical traits: Truthfully he’s able to see the beauty in everyone and even in things that others might see as ugly or unsightly. He has a like for scars freckles and stretch marks, he’ll make it a habit to press kisses to them. He adores soft hair and has the tendency to comb his fingers through his lover’s hair. He’s very reverent of it all, of what people call imperfections he adores them. It stems from the fact his mother always tried for perfection and true beauty which is what causes him to be attracted to people who others would call average, ugly, or not the pinnacle of beauty.

He wants to have deep conversations with his date, speaking on anything and everything- sometimes likes to do debates or just listen to them speak about their passion

Do they have a type?: Loyal, family-oriented, passionate, and ambitious- that’s all folks!

Average relationship length: Is very likely to try to hold on to a relationship until the end. Will only let go if he’s aware of the emotional decay and wouldn’t want his partner to leave on bitter terms. When breaking up with a partner I feel like more times then not both parties are able to be friendly with each other after some time apart.

Any secrets that have been told Gladion will keep to the grave even if they break up and Gladion expects the same from his partner. If his secrets are revealed or his partner cheated on him then sorry buddy your own secrets will be put on blast so everyone and their mothers in France would hear about it....

Preferred non-sexual intimacy: He’s a pretty handsy guy once his partner gives the okay for it. More likely than not in public he’ll always have a hand on them wherever they go,( Hand holding, hand on their back, an arm around their waist etc. ) In private he’s a bit of a tease with his touches ( they’re feathery light and prone to make a person shiver ) and has a tendency to whisper sweet nothings into their ear as they snuggle.

Commitment level: Ride or die kinda man when he’s with a trustworthy partner. Past relationships?: None in the default verse. Really his default verse is quiet sad, he’s all alone and I feel so bad... Though a lot of my default verses I don’t give my character friends- partly because if I pick a canon character to be their friend I don’t want someone else who plays that character to feel pressured into being friends with my character. The same line of thought to the romantic side of things, which is why more then not they have never dated anyone else before.

Hi! Do you know of any fics where Harry and Draco are both Aurors and have to work together? I've read quite a few but haven't come across one in a while. Once, when Harry had been on one of the big ones, the kind of mission where there was a little Auror camp out in the wilderness, twenty or so tents all pitched practically on top of each other, he had slept in one with two stories. Actually it was more of a mezzanine level, but still. Their current one didn’t even have a fucking toilet. And if Harry were allowed to communicate with anyone other than Draco then he would definitely be lodging an official complaint right about now.This fic is so sweet and slow (despite being only 16K, idk how she does it!). i understand why this may have caused confusion. and this honest to god is not an attack on trans/ace people/pan people. this is more of a “me venting post.” my younger brother (he’s trans, still getting used to that :/) is friends with a girl who has like...a twenty syllable word for her sexuality and she’s only 12/13.

fun fact - being trans IS actually caused by a physical trait! i believe it’s a mix-up of chemicals or signals in the brain. i understand how not knowing this could have caused a mix-up.

my referral to pan people was...rude. my point that came out was NOT the one i had in my head. my apologies. (i think it was 2am when i posted it so that may explain a few things) WHAT I MEANT was that people like to say being “pan” and being “bi” are ‘so different!’ but the fact is that, when it comes down to it, you’re attracted to dick and vagina with both of them. i dont at all understand why there has to be two terms for this, but okay. i’m not going to rant at you about this if you tell me that you’re pan - i wrote this as an explanation.

also the ‘dick and vagina’ thing brings me to the general point of the post itself. WHAT I MEANT in it was that, yes, i am fucking sick of the LGBT+ acronym going from LGBTQIA+ (which was probably the most letters i can accept) to LGBTKAJWJBOCKJABLIGB+. my problem is that people want to describe their sexualities in terms of being gender-inclusive but that’s not how sexuality works. sexuality is what you are automatically attracted to. It’s a deep psychological thing and a biologically female lesbian is not going to look at a biologically male who identifies as female (and hasnt started/taken hormones) across the room and want to sleep with her. that’s not because she’s transphobic - it’s because sexuality is not gender fucking inclusive. i know lesbians have been in relationships with mtf people before, but the attraction, that moment where you look at someone and think “i’d hit that” usually happens after that person has been taking hormones for a while.

 why? she identified as female, right?

because a lesbian is a woman who is attracted to female physical/sexual features. that is how sexuality works.

my problem, therefore, is that tumblr has created this LGBT+ society where everyone has to have a super-specific label to describe them - the girl i was talking about before was attracted to “everybody but biologically female people.” so shes straight, fuckin hetero. the point of a label on sexuality is for two reasons:

1. for scientific research/classification

2. as a general description in order for you to find people who share similar experiences with you (the point of the LGBT+ community)

labels are meant as general descriptors for what is biologically not straight/cis. not what is the most gender-inclusive label you can stick on. L - attracted to female traits. G - attracted to male traits (assuming that G=only homosexual males). B/P - attracted to female and male traits. T - having a difference in make-up of the brain that causes you to feel dysphoria and dysmorphia in your own body. + - ace; agender/etc. You dont need a label to be SPECIFIC, you need it to be general so you dont have to explain your sexuality. God, i have to explain what me being bisexual (and very rarely agender since im not open about it) enough - why would you want to be anything more ridiculous??

here’s a quote from a blog i found:

that’s basically my problem summed up, except incorporating ridiculous genders in too. 

i really don’t think i can go past that in terms of an explanation so. there we go. i guess i could say that, to me, some of these gender identities (some, not all) and sexuality labels (again, some, not all) are on the same level as “identifying” as a race/ethnicity.

anyway i hope this helped. i really dont mean to be offensive, it was a vent post. my problem is not that im being transphobic or whatever phobic we’ve invented this week (let’s not bring up aphobia). it’s that young girls want attention and they’ve come here to get it. it’s a slap in the face after leelah alcorn especially.

also, possibly different issue somewhat related here, but my school’s LGBT+ club has turned into an anime club. so not to stereotype but...there’s a type of people who like. make up this shit.

also, another possibly different issue somewhat related here - my school has had to get a doctor’s certificate for gender dysmorphia and gender dysphoria because the counsellors cant deal with the amount of people identifying as some form of gender identity (especially trans - they like playing with cars and suddenly theyre a different gender!!!!) for attention (theyre all under the age of 15 btw).

classes

OKAY so there are three classes: dps, tank, and support. dps focuses on damaging the enemy, tanks can put up shields / have greater health to allow their team to fight longer, and supports heal ppl on their team. jeff and the rest of the overwatch team ™ have kindly divided up all the heroes up into the categories that you see on the bottom of the screen during the “hero select” part before a match starts.

generally, you want to have at least one from each class on a team to make it a balanced team. unfortunately, you might not see that as often in arcade modes / quickplay, but it’s ok!! 

abilities

each hero has different mechanics and skills, so i highly suggest going in the practice range + vs ai to test out the different abilities and things like that. you have your weapon, 2 “special” abilities with cooldowns, and 1 ultimate ability that you can charge up. by practicing w/ the hero against other ppl, you can figure out what times are best to use each ability and stuff like that.

oh,,, the dps,,,,,, players,,,,,,, as a support main, i can be tired ™ of dps players who overextend and then demand “i need healing” constantly,,,, but ur not gonna be one of those players!!! dw dw

essentially, you gotta be Good at Aiming to be a Good DPS (but that’s ok, there are some heroes that do not have a high skill cap)

soldier 76 is a good “beginner” hero to start off on bc 1. you play him during the tutorial and 2. he’s the most traditional fps character you can play in the game. he’s got sprint so you can get to places faster, a little biotic field to heal yourself with, and a nice rocket so you can blast someone in the face. the ultimate is also auto-aim so that’s even more helpful for beginner players.

junkrat is another dps that’s relatively easy to play for ppl bc his little bomb things go off and have an explosion radius damage. bastion, mei, and symmetra all have sorta self-heal-ish abilities / passives that might make them easier for you to pick up. symmetra and torbjorn have turrets that auto-aim, so they can be easier heroes to pick up too. just know that ur gonna get smacked later on in higher levels bc No One Likes Playing Against These Two DSJKSDKDSJKKJ

genji, hanzo, and widowmaker tend to be the most popular dps that i see ppl choose in games? idk why tho

tanks

the unsung heroes of overwatch,,,,, no one bothers to play tank in quick play and it’s truly a tragedy bc u never realize how much u need a tank until u need a tank

your job as a tank is to 1. be that big distraction that the enemy team wants to go after, 2. make space for your team to work in, and 3. protect your team. this is why they have high health and shield abilities. 

there are 2 different types of tanks: main tanks and off-tanks. off-tanks are generally more mobile, have less health, their defense abilities are shorter, and have “more offensive” capabilities than main tanks (so kinda like a dps / tank hybrid?). they go zooming around more often to protect teammates that are farther away from the objective. main tanks are solid, thicc, rock-hard bastions of protection that get on the payload / control point and do their damn bestest to keep the objectives going + protect their teams with their blessed shields.

some ppl are picky on how to categorize them, but here’s my categorization: off-tanks: dva, zarya, wrecking ball, roadhog main tanks: orisa, reinhardt, winston (winston’s on thin ice tho)

i’d say dva is the most popular tank + it’s nice to pick up as a beginner bc she’s got good mobility, infinite ammo, and a “second life” with the mech and baby dva (you’ll see when u play her). in terms of main tank, i’ve heard ppl say that reinhardt is the easiest main tank to pick up ???? but i personally prefer orisa over him bc her shields are easier to deploy and you can kill things from afar. her reload time is very slow compared to other heroes.

my favorites are orisa and dva.

mercy is the easiest support to play imo. your healing beam can lock onto a person + you have high mobility + i genuinely love mercy’s gun even tho i should be focusing on healing. mercy does get a bad rep for being “every e-girl’s main” and ppl might be rude to u if ur a mercy main ;; anyhow, the most important thing to focus on as mercy is your positioning. do not get urself into a position where you cannot easily get out and please don’t die ;;

lucio is another hero that has high mobility and requires positioning bc you have aoe heal but u need to make sure your team is within your radius. wall-riding is very fun too and booping ppl off cliffs is highly entertaining.

brigitte, moira, and zenyatta are supports, but it’s very easy to be a pseudo-dps with them if you’re interested in taking down ur enemies too. 

ana is probably the hardest hero bc she has little mobility and requires good aim to heal and to kill. on that note, zen and ana are the supports that require you to be good at aiming.

footstep sounds from the enemy team tend to be louder, and the more dangerous the hero, the louder their footstep (ex: reaper, mccree). hearing footsteps has helped me escape from a flanking reaper out to kill me dsjsdjkksdj

pro ovw esports are casted by ppl who explain how the players are moving and reacting + this can help you get a better understanding of the gameplay and abilities

overwatch league is finished, but you can go back and watch their videos + blizzard has been pretty good abt making sure that owl is appealing to newcomers. i’d recommend matches casted by uber and mr. x

classes

OKAY so there are three classes: dps, tank, and support. dps focuses on damaging the enemy, tanks can put up shields / have greater health to allow their team to fight longer, and supports heal ppl on their team. jeff and the rest of the overwatch team (tm) have kindly divided up all the heroes up into the categories that you see on the bottom of the screen during the “hero select” part before a match starts.

generally, you want to have at least one from each class on a team to make it a balanced team. unfortunately, you might not see that as often in arcade modes / quickplay, but it’s ok!! 

abilities

each hero has different mechanics and skills, so i highly suggest going in the practice range + vs ai to test out the different abilities and things like that. you have your weapon, 2 “special” abilities with cooldowns, and 1 ultimate ability that you can charge up. by practicing w/ the hero against other ppl, you can figure out what times are best to use each ability and stuff like that.

dps

oh,,, the dps,,,,,, players,,,,,,, as a support main, i can be tired (tm) of dps players who overextend and then demand “i need healing” constantly,,,, but ur not gonna be one of those players!!! dw dw

essentially, you gotta be Good at Aiming to be a Good DPS (but that’s ok, there are some heroes that do not have a high skill cap)

soldier 76 is a good “beginner” hero to start off on bc 1. you play him during the tutorial and 2. he’s the most traditional fps character you can play in the game. he’s got sprint so you can get to places faster, a little biotic field to heal yourself with, and a nice rocket so you can blast someone in the face. the ultimate is also auto-aim so that’s even more helpful for beginner players.

junkrat is another dps that’s relatively easy to play for ppl bc his little bomb things go off and have an explosion radius damage. bastion, mei, and symmetra all have sorta self-heal-ish abilities / passives that might make them easier for you to pick up. symmetra and torbjorn have turrets that auto-aim, so they can be easier heroes to pick up too. just know that ur gonna get smacked later on in higher levels bc No One Likes Playing Against These Two DSJKSDKDSJKKJ

genji, hanzo, and widowmaker tend to be the most popular dps that i see ppl choose in games? idk why tho

tanks

the unsung heroes of overwatch,,,,, no one bothers to play tank in quick play and it’s truly a tragedy bc u never realize how much u need a tank until u need a tank

your job as a tank is to 1. be that big distraction that the enemy team wants to go after, 2. make space for your team to work in, and 3. protect your team. this is why they have high health and shield abilities. 

there are 2 different types of tanks: main tanks and off-tanks. off-tanks are generally more mobile, have less health, their defense abilities are shorter, and have “more offensive” capabilities than main tanks (so kinda like a dps / tank hybrid?). they go zooming around more often to protect teammates that are farther away from the objective. main tanks are solid, thicc, rock-hard bastions of protection that get on the payload / control point and do their damn bestest to keep the objectives going + protect their teams with their blessed shields.

some ppl are picky on how to categorize them, but here’s my categorization:off-tanks: dva, zarya, wrecking ball, roadhogmain tanks: orisa, reinhardt, winston (winston’s on thin ice tho)

i’d say dva is the most popular tank + it’s nice to pick up as a beginner bc she’s got good mobility, infinite ammo, and a “second life” with the mech and baby dva (you’ll see when u play her). in terms of main tank, i’ve heard ppl say that reinhardt is the easiest main tank to pick up ???? but i personally prefer orisa over him bc her shields are easier to deploy and you can kill things from afar. her reload time is very slow compared to other heroes.

supports

basically, these are your healers!! they keep your team in tip-top shape + make sure that no one dies. (ppl still die.)
