I have been obsessed with the idea of Paris coming to the modern day in the same way Midas, Lityerses, and Medea did. Like, If anybody had some unfinished business, it's every citizen of Troy. Anyway here are some different little scenarios I've cooked up about how this silly little war criminal fared after making a mad dash for the doors of death in HoO.

Ok, so in this scenario, Paris is recruited by Gaea just like all the other spirits who come back from the dead. He ends up being tasked with working alongside Octavian. At first, he's driven only by grief and anger at the loss of his own family and city. As they approach Camp Half-Blood, Paris regularly remarks on how happy he is that's he'll be the one storming the walls this time. But over time, he slowly finds himself growing worried about Octavian's sanity. He tries to steer Octavian away from making reckless decisions, but Octavian refuses to back down. Paris sees the deadly fervor of his fellow soldiers in Octavian, and pulls away. From here we split off into two endings. 1. (the sad one) Octavian's fate plays out the same as the books and Paris just has to deal with how his actions unintentionally spurred the young man towards his own death. Or 2. (the happy one) Paris leaving is the wake-up call Octavian needs, and he pulls himself out of battle at the last second, breaking the cycle of hatred and wrath that started at Troy. Pick your fighter I guess.

In this scenario, Paris is not the only one who comes back from the doors of death. Half of the Argo II crew find him in Ancient Greece (Don't ask why he's there instead of Turkey idk shhhhh) And he's very helpful to them in whatever quest they're trying to complete at the time. All's well that ends well, except the OTHER half of the Argo II crew actually just met up with Hector on the other side of Greece lol. Turns out neither brother knows the other is alive, and the Argo II take the time to reunite the pair. I would specifically set this in BoO, and have the focus be on Jason and Leo as parallels for Hector and Paris, especially with them both thinking about sacrificing themselves bc of the prophecy (the whole "storm or fire" thing). Like, my idea is that a lot of emphasis would be put on Hector dying first, and how he sacrificed for Troy, and how Paris wishes he could've saved Hector. And Jason would come away from that thinking "Yes, I want to be Hector, i've made peace with making the final sacrifice to keep my friends safe" and Leo thinking "I'll do what Paris couldn't and give my life so that Jason doesn't have to" and ahhhh angst.

This is a ToA scenario instead of an HoO scenario. Paris and one of his siblings come back to life like in the last one, but instead of it being Hector, this time it's Cassandra. Idk when this would happen in the timeline of ToA, bc those books are so tight knit (maybe the infamous TTT to TON roadtrip) But I would add a little side quest where Apollo and Meg have to find Cassandra bc Nero's trying to kidnap her or smth. They run into Paris while they're searching for Cassandra, and the three of them team up for a lil bit. In this scenario, Paris works as a direct parallel to Apollo, all though he's a bit further behind on his redemption journey. Basically, Apollo feels like he's looking at slightly embarrassing old pictures of himself. When they find Cassandra, Apollo offers a genuine apology for everything he did to her. Emboldened by Apollo's example, Paris also opens up to Cassandra in a way he'd never done before. The two are finally able to air out their shared grief from Troy, and they set out to ... idk New Rome or the Waystation or smth. Either way they're a lot closer as siblings now, and Apollo promises to visit them once the Trials are over.

Of course, these are only my ideas that kinda fit into canon, I have a whole bunch more that go entirely off the rails. Anyways this pathetic little failure of a man has bewitched my body and soul or whatever I love rolling him around like a balled up chewing gum wrapper.

i originally planned on her video maybe being 5 minutes long

but im honestly okay with it bc well the thing about nina is that she had SO much going on:

navigating a new school and residence, dodging false accusations from an angry girl, meeting this mysterious woman that sends her on a quest, becoming the de-facto leader of a new group and people looking to her for what to do next, sarah dying, hearing voices around the house, thinking she may be going insane, rufus zeno threatening not just her life but her friends’ lives as well, learning she’s the chosen one and assembling a magical cup all in less than five minutes, an evil spirit threatening her life and now her bf’s life and now her friends’ and grandmother’s life unless she finds some mystical mask in a set of tunnels under the house, accidentally hexing her friends leading to alfie regressing to a child and baby; and amber aging to a very scary point, choosing to put on the mask of anubis in order to save her friends and gran’s lives which meant her going into the field of rushes and just flat out die basically. all the while deal with romance drama and joy’s villain era.

so to put all of that in a five minute video would not suffice it nor do her justice

power of the mind is and always will be a nina song, it was the first song i picked out for her and i just think it really fits her

like the first song is mainly her introduction, the most important bits like meeting sarah, getting the locket, her parallels to sarah and her ingenuity as well as smarts and recklessness too, just her character overall and then we slowly moved to chosen one stuff in the next song and then senkhara's hold over her as well as why she wants the mask after that

i didnt show a lot of rufus going down bc it's nina's story to tell, rufus is a whole other thing and at the end, i really tried to focus on nina specifically

that being said, it does end with fabian (and amber) missing her, the last bit of her being the hand written letter (not the locket, that's another thing entirely) i wanted to focus on something nina did rather than what she was given

i used imovie for the software, dont really have anything to say about it bc its free for me so i dont really know other video editing software *shrug*

the penultimate song (the way by zack hemsey) was almost this song called dwell on dreams and i changed it bc it was just too uplifting, like nope, we gotta go down darkness right now

i listened to like eight different songs trying to decide what fit fabina in the end, and i think last kiss by taylor swift really does summarize them in majority, if anyone else has another song please let me know

like for example in the s1 ending for HHA victor’s on the phone w the real bad guy or whatever, and he’s asking who’s responsible for all this shit and victor answers, “Her name… is Nienke. Nienke Martens.” or smth like that i cant remember

the next video is Alfie’s and i hope his does remain with five minutes bc the song i have for him is perfect and unlike Nina he does have one direct line of evolution from class clown to traumatized to untrustworthy sibuna to brave sibuna, proving to us and to his friends but most importantly to himself that he’s the bravest sibuna no matter what.

Hi just a lil mini analysis/rant abt Mondo’s character portrayal in the fandom that's been sitting in my drafts for weeks bc I bothered my friends with this and decided y’all need to see it too /hj (also it doesn’t look like a proper analysis bc I’m just copying and pasting my messages so yknow)

Smth that irks me abt how Mondo is portrayed is. Fanart where it shows him feeling guilty only over Chihiro and Taka’s deaths. Like people usually say it’s bc they couldnt fit Daiya but I feel like it’d be more relevant to include Daiya over Taka. Assuming that Mondo was a ghost and watching what happened, yes he’d feel guilty, but I don’t think indirectly causing the death of a guy you met a week ago is gonna outweigh feeling like you murdered your own brother in cold blood. It once again feels like they’re focusing more on IshiMondo than Mondo’s actual character and it bugs me. Him feeling guilty over Chihiro’s death makes perfect sense, he *did* kill Chihiro. There’s no denying that fact, seeing as how. Well. Mondo was the blackened. And Chap. 4 makes it obvious that killing yourself after someone else attacks you doesn’t make you a blackened, so we know Chihiro didnt somehow live through the attack and killed himself so Mondo wouldnt die if Chihiro did end up dying (granted the manga complicates this with chap. 1 but for the sake of staying on topic we’ll just focus on in-game events). But prioritizing Taka over Daiya when it comes to Mondo’s guilt makes absolutely no sense. Mondo’s only involvement would be Taka’s mental state being the reason Celeste targeted Taka, but even then, that’s such a minor involvement that I can’t see why Taka’s death would hurt more than Daiya’s. His involvement with Taka’s is minimal and incidental. He had literally no control over it, seeing as how he killed Chihiro in the midst of a panic attack. But to Mondo, he feels like he *chose* to kill Daiya. He instigated the race, he chose to be reckless, and these decisions ultimately led to Daiya’s death. He sees his involvement as voluntary instead of incidental like it would be with Taka. And yes he’d feel guilty over Taka’s death, but Daiya’s death shaped him so much from his anger issues to his anxiety to literally every little detail about his character that I just. Can’t see him feeling guiltier over a friend that he accidentally was involved in the death of than his own brother that he entirely blames himself for

I've thought about how Luke's life would be if his mother never tried to be the Oracle. I believe his life would be nearly normal,because children of Hermes aren't exactly monster magnets(I believe he faced more monsters with the girls in that short time than in those years before. A daughter of Zeus. Enough said.),and he'd be handsome,athletic,popular... But ADHD and dyslexia would take a considerable toll. His family seems to be well off,so perhaps he'd have a good school,but the US education

sorry it’s been a while since i got this, been busy with training for my job this next academic year and accidentally starting discourse lmao

i whole-heartedly agree that his life would’ve been drastically different if his mother hadn’t tried to take on the oracle

i’m not sure how normal it would’ve been, since may clearly knew she’d found hermes, and that camp half-blood existed by the time luke was born

so, i could see him going to school during the fall, like a lot of the campers do, and then attending camp during the summer

which, i suppose is pretty normal for a half-blood, all things considered lol

he would definitely be more popular and all the more handsome, most definitely athletic bc i imagine he’d probably still be really good with a sword. not sure how his school life would look since his whole character in the pjo series is entirely based off the fact that he grew up in an abusive home, grew up hating his father, and then had all that other shit happen to him with thalia getting turned into a tree, and his failed quest, and hating his father even more

but i imagine, he’d be much like may (and, i mean, hermes)--eccentric, outgoing, extroverted, and mischievous. so i think, bearing that in mind, he’d probably be almost as magnetic, if not more, than percy honestly

i imagine, even though may is kinda selfish, he’d have a similar upbringing as percy did. maybe with a little less unconditional love from his mother. but he wouldn’t run away. it’s hard to say how much he’d hate his father in this au.

i could see resentment toward him build up a little, if like may keeps making mistakes, and luke asks for his father to come help out a little, but he never does. but i don’t see it being so deep-seated as in canon. since, in this au, i imagine she’s not abusive anymore

i could also see him getting kicked out of school a lot, both for his adhd and dyslexia (which leads to bad grades and stuff), and also his mischievous nature (he probably steals things and pulls pranks on the other students that the administrators don’t like)

i could see him being one of those funny posts abt kids selling stuff at school, like the kid who sold students a paper towel for like a $1 or smth, and along with it they got a free panini. or that one story of a kid who bought a bunch of those sparkly gel bears and made bank selling those back at like 4x the price. you know shit like that

anyway, i could see him being in sports in school (adding to the athleticism part, lol went off on a tangent)--like volleyball or soccor or smth, maybe track and field, based on his build

i think he’s this weird mix between jason and percy

bc like, he’s got the looks of jason--all american. but since he’s a son of hermes, he’s got this trouble-maker streak, like percy (i mean, percy isn’t a trouble-maker per se, but i know ppl describe him as having that vibe before you meet him and realize he’s a sweetheart)

i think may would definitely make a lot of mistakes--she’s very eccentric and a little selfish, but i do think she loves her son (not enough to, like, not try taking on the oracle in canon lol, but that, again, communicates her selfishness)

that would also mean, he doesn’t meet thalia or annabeth, and so wouldn’t have to go through all that trauma (poor annabeth, though). which would also mean, he’s not destined to host kronos yay :D

i do think he’d still care a lot abt what happens to thalia, and maybe even take annabeth under his wing--as a younger sister (she probably still develops a crush, even if they weren’t on the run together), just bc that’s how i see luke. like, he did all he did in canon-pjo for demigods. it was misguided and he was being manipulated by a titan, but ultimately, he wanted a better life and future for demigods

so i do think he’d want the same in this au. i don’t think his anger or hatred would be so strong, again, since he didn’t know thalia or annabeth personally until they got to camp. so kronos wouldn’t have a lot of power over him. i don’t think he would join kronos when/if the titan found someone else’s negative thoughts to feed off of just bc luke originally joined kronos bc kronos promised luke that once the gods were dead, demigods would have free rein

in this au, i think he’d be more wise to kronos’s lies and realize that after the gods die, kronos would take over the world and kill basically everyone. so even though he may understand what this other demigod who has taken up kronos’s call is doing, he would stay on the side of the gods (by default). he knows stopping kronos would tangentially help demigods

also, i think bc of his family life, and growing up pretty normally, he wouldn’t be dying to have hermes give him a quest. idk if this true, but this is how i interpret it: i think in canon-pjo he really wanted that quest mostly bc of his past experiences with may and hermes never answering his prayers, being on the run, and then what happened with thalia

bc that’s all different in this au, i don’t think he’d be so adamant that hermes issue him a quest, and therefore, wouldn’t end up with the scar he has in canon

that’s all i’ve really got for now. i still got stuff to unpack, and i’m mentally preparing myself for the semester to start (so i’m mentally drained XP)

i’m kinda all over the place with this post, too bc this is more stream of consciousness than anything else XD

Lauren’s Plans for Kate!!

So I was reading through old odr asks and I unearthed some moments Lauren had in mind for Kate!  It’s not much, but it can at least alleviate some of what we’ve been struggling w in terms of taking her on and at least guide us in the right directions, yknow?  Also, some of these moments that are Kateric we can either use for that obv or, if she eventually moves on, we can transfer them to a potential future lover.  We may or may not want to use any of them, but here’s a collection of things she said about future Kate things!!

Though tbh I’m sure Cedric thought she’d continue to think he was joking until the end of their days, I’m thinking it’s at some point during the rebellion, maybe after Kate has her scare with the guards burning down her bakery, that he says it to her to get her to calm down as she’s stressing/freaking out about what to do now that she can’t be of any use to the rebels/to the villagers who had looked after her. Cedric just starts saying “Kate, look at me. Kate… Kate!” and takes her face in his hands to make her look at him and gives her that brilliant smile and asks her to marry him for the millionth time. And she doesn’t know why, but for some reason, maybe something in his eyes, it’s the first time she believes he mans it. So she says yes. And I bet Cedric doesn’t believe her at first. Doesn’t think he heard her right. But Kate probably swallows and puts her hands over his and says yes again and then aLL THE SMOOCHES PROBS NGL.

uGH.I can just see it so clearly too. Kate sick with the fever or dozily full of some fruit wine that one of the Rebellion snuck away from one of the nearby Lords. Curling up in a small pocket of warmth against Cedric’s side (something she does much more often than she’d ever admit–it’s comfortable and warm and feels like a place that was made for her, whether she’ll let herself think about why or not) and just mumbling half-mad under her breath that she understands. He doesn’t like her like that, he’s important and doing important things and has no time to think of her, but she’s content with having him sometimes. Sometimes is better than not at all. and just slowly falling asleep or shivering into that fitful sleep of the sick and mending, holding onto Cedric’s hand tightly–because after all, she has to hoard those sometimes whenever she can.

Hmm… Probably when he realized the Missingno would’ve cut through Pallet Town, before they called and made sure his mother was okay. He never really gets scared for himself, and he knows his Pokemon and Green can hold their own, but his mother… Arceus, he was terrified for her.

In what situation was your character the most calm they’ve ever been? Any moment when he’s with Green and there’s absolutely nothing going on at the time.

Is your character bothered by the sight of blood? If so, in what way? Blood from scrapes and cuts? Nah, not really. From abuse, though? And serious injuries? They make him feel sick to his stomach

Does your character remember names or faces easier? He remembers both fairly well, but names are a little easier for him.

Is your character preoccupied with money or material possession? Why or why not? Nope! He’s perfectly content with his friends, family, and Pokemon! Who needs a lot of stuff when the important thing is who you’d share it with?

HE IS SO OBLIVIOUS SOMETIMES……… And when he realizes there’s a conflict between him and his SO, he’s reluctant to face it head-on and would rather wait for his SO to come to him once they’ve calmed down. Hence the waiting for Green on Mt. Silver for six whole years

He doesn’t really compare that much anymore, but when he does, it is based on how much knowledge they have. He does so only to better himself and seek out others’ viewpoints of the world.

If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others? It depends on the situation. Usually, he doesn’t really like to pin blame anywhere and would rather work at bettering whatever happened. If he did actually cause the event, he can feel pretty guilty, though this only serves to fuel his want to fix whatever went wrong.

What does your character like in other people? He likes passion! Anyone who has a strong sense of what they like and want is amazing to him! Bonus if they’re really caring and compassionate!

What does your character dislike in other people? He hates arrogance and a disregard for others’ well-being. Arrogance alone he can tolerate, but treating others like dirt is where he crosses the line.

How quick is your character to trust someone else? He is usually pretty quick to trust, especially if it’s a proven fact that they love Pokemon! He often finds that the strength of the person’s relationship with their Pokemon directly speaks to their character as a person.

There usually has to be a fair bit of evidence against someone for him to get suspicious, ESPECIALLY if they’re someone he’s close to. However, there are some instances where his instinct kicks in and he can immediately tell something’s not quite right *cough*Faba*cough*

How does your character behave around children? He adores them! He’s always careful to be gentle and kind, and will even let them see/hold/play with his Pokemon!

How does your character normally deal with confrontation? He doesn’t like it. At all. Vocal confrontation, he tends to grow quiet unless he’d agitated enough. Physical confrontation, he WILL kick your ass if necessary. End of story.

How quick or slow is your character to resort to physical violence in a confrontation? He is not quick at all to resort to violence and will only do so if there’s no other option. He’s much more quick to resort to a Pokemon battle.

What did your character dream of being or doing as a child? Did that dream come true? He never really had long-term goals or a dream job or anything as a kid. He just wanted to spend all his time with Green and always looked forward to the next time they’d see each other again. After they started to grow apart, though, his goal eventually became the same as Professor Oak’s - completing the Pokedex! And he’s gotten some good progress on it, too!

What does your character find repulsive or disgusting? Disregard for others’ life/feelings.

In the face of criticism, is your character defensive, self-deprecating, or willing to improve? He is 110% willing to improve, as long as the advice being given is valid!

Hmm… He’d probably try the same method, but tweak it just enough to be ‘different’. Especially in Pokemon battles, so the slight change throws off his opponents.

How does your character behave around people they like? He is SOOO physically affectionate! Hand-holding, hugs, and he gets really smiley and giggly, too!

How does your character behave around people they dislike? He gets really quiet and the expression on his face turns very serious. If the person pisses him off enough, he won’t hesitate to shout and bring out his Pokemon for support.

Is your character more concerned with defending their honor, or protecting their status? Hmm… Probably defending his honor. His status doesn’t really matter that much to him, as long as he is doing what is right.

Is your character more likely to remove a problem/threat, or remove themselves from a problem/threat? He would remove the problem/threat, definitely. Especially if other people are on the line. He tends to be a bit reckless when it comes to his own well-being.

Has your character ever been bitten by an animal? How were they affected (or unaffected)? I can totally see him being bitten by a Pokemon, whether it was wild or freshly caught. Mewtwo probably would’ve done this, but they’re not much of a biter. He wouldn’t be very affected, though. Maybe a bit more wary towards that particular individual, but overall unfazed.

How does your character treat people in service jobs? He is always polite and makes sure to say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ often.

Does your character feel that they deserve to have what they want, whether it be material or abstract, or do they feel they must earn it first? He completely believes that if you want something it has to be earned, whether it is something physical or not.

Has your character ever had a parental figure who was not related to them? Professor Oak. And also Charizard and Mewtwo, to a degree, though they’d be more like siblings to him.

Has your character ever had a dependent figure who was not related to them? ALL HIS POKEMON… Other than that… not really? I mean, he and Green took care of ZZAZZ and Jacred for a little while, but they didn’t exactly stick around.

How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you?” Can they say it without meaning it? It’s very easy for him to say ‘I love you’ once he realizes his feelings, oblivious as he is. He’ll even say it platonically from time to time. He won’t say it without meaning it, though. If he says he loves you, he really does care.

What does your character believe will happen to them after they die? Does this belief scare them? Hmm… I don’t really give this much thought for any of my muses. As far as the real world is concerned, he lives in Japan, so he’d be familiar with Shinto and Buddhism, but I think he’d really be agnostic. Sure, there’s plenty of proof of some people and Pokemon coming back as Ghost-type Pokemon, but that can’t happen to all of them. Otherwise, the world would be overrun with Ghost-types! And what happens to Ghost-types? Do they get reincarnated? Or do their spirits disappear forever? Whatever happens, he’s not really too worried about it. Mostly, he concerns himself with what good he does while he’s alive.

Silver

Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with? No, he doesn’t have any family members in his age group, really. And as for who he’s closest with, not counting Pokemon, it would be Giovanni.

What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like? Ariana was always the stricter parent of the two. Silver respected her, and even feared her a little... But after he found out about his parents’ roles in Team Rocket, he grew to hate her. Especially when she revived the criminal organization. Nowadays, he doesn’t give a flying fuck about his mother, and as far as he’s concerned, he has no mother.

What is/was your character’s relationship with their father like? He and Giovanni were always fairly close, even when he was a child. Unfortunately, Silver’s faith in and love for his father was seriously shaken when he started spending more time managing Team Rocket than caring for his son. Since meeting up again, much of his hurt has been healed, but things are still a little shaky between them sometimes.

Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know? Yes and yes. He first connected the dots about his parents being in Team Rocket when he saw a police report on the organization. Ever since then, he was never quite the same.

But once he ran away, he was constantly struggling and never had much money. Even now, when he’s living with his father again, he’s pretty strapped for cash and doesn’t want any unnecessary assistance from his father.

Is your character bothered by the sight of blood? If so, in what way? Blood doesn’t really phase Silver. Especially not his own blood. When he sees blood on himself, he immediately takes stock and cleans himself up as fast as possible. Other people freaking out at the sight of blood would make him roll his eyes, but if the blood belongs to his Pokemon or someone he cares about, he’s much more anxious about it.

Is your character preoccupied with money or material possession? Why or why not? Only as far as surviving goes. Once he has what he needs, he doesn’t really care about material stuff. He sees it as trivial and unnecessary. The only exceptions are his comfort item (his Persian plush) and gifts from people he cares about.

Which does your character idealize most: happiness or success? Happiness... though if you asked him, he’d deny it for fear of being seen as sappy.

Is your character more likely to admire wisdom, or ambition in others? To be perfectly honest...? Ambition. Wisdom is all well and good, but he can’t stand it when people sound like they’re talking down to him and preaching about the things they know.

He can be fairly overprotective... especially if he knows/thinks his S/O is vulnerable at the moment. As an extention, he never really puts himself first, especially in dangerous situations. He also doesn’t tend to contribute to choices like where to go on a date, what to eat, etc. simply because he doesn’t care about little choices like that. It can be REALLY frustrating, but it hasn’t ruined any relationships for him. (As a bonus flaw, he can be REALLY blunt with facts and his personal opinions.)

He tends to compare his strength to others a lot, both for validation and self-criticism. He’s determined to be a strong trainer who can stand on his own two feet. Unfortunately, he often gets stuck on comparing himself to those stronger than him. Especially Ethan. When this happens, he can get fairly angry, and somewhat depressive on occasion - like no matter how hard he trains, he’s not getting anywhere and will never be good enough for his own standards.

Timidness, grouping for ‘strength’ in numbers when individually none of them are strong, submissiveness, sympathy for those he feels ‘don’t deserve it’, etc... (He’s much more lenient on this now, especially physical weakness due to an illness or weakness in battle due to inexperience, but it still annoys him.)

How quick is your character to trust someone else? He is probably the LEAST trusting of all my muses/OCs. It borders on paranoia, really.

How quick is your character to suspect someone else? Does this change if they are close with that person? Everyone is suspect unless he’s close with them. It takes ages for him to open up, so if anyone accuses someone he’s close to of doing something bad, the accuser better prepare for a fist to the face because fuck you they’d never do such a thing.

How does your character behave around children? He stays WAAAY out of their way, if he can. If he can’t, he’s an awkward mess. He’d be one of those ‘all kids are the devil except mine’ parents.

How does your character normally deal with confrontation? Either he SPEED WALKS the other way, or he charges straight in, ready to kick ass. On the rare occasions he can’t fight OR flee, he’s almost like a cornered animal. Don’t touch him - he WILL hurt you.

What did your character dream of being or doing as a child? Did that dream come true? Hmm... I kind of get the feeling he’d want to work with feline Pokemon, even at a young age. And of course, his father’s a gym leader, so that always used to seem very possible to him. Unfortunately, by the time he ran away, he was so jaded to absolutely everything that being a great trainer seemed like the only viable option for him. And of course, he’s really only an adequate trainer... so that only served to make him feel worse about... well, pretty much everything in his life by that point.

What does your character find repulsive or disgusting? Weak people hiding behind others and using them to do their dirty work. He can’t STAND that... Also, he absolutely HATES people treating the homeless and children badly. If he sees that shit, he WILL fuck you up.

Is your character more likely to keep trying a solution/method that didn’t work the first time, or immediately move on to a different solution/method? Oftentimes, Silver couldn’t afford to keep trying the same thing over and over again despite failures... so he tends to move on immediately.

How does your character behave around people they like? He’s much less abrasive and does his best to take their feelings into consideration. He smiles more, his body language is more open, and he’ll generally just... want to hang around them, even if they’re not really talking or DOING anything. Long story short: he a cat.

How does your character behave around people they dislike? He will NOT stick around if he doesn’t have to. His word choice is crueler, he scowls a lot, his hands stay in his pockets, and his hair often gets in his face because he’d rather not bother removing his hand from his pocket to fix it.

Is your character more concerned with defending their honor, or protecting their status? Well... he really doesn’t give two shits about either honor or his status. All he cares about is the opinions of those he cares about and whether or not he can support himself and his Pokemon.

Is your character more likely to remove a problem/threat, or remove themselves from a problem/threat? Erm... I’m gonna have to say it depends. If he thinks he can manage it or he’s angry enough, he will absolutely try to handle it himself. If not, he will turn around and walk the other way.

Has your character ever been bitten by an animal? How were they affected (or unaffected)? I can guarantee you that at least one Pokemon has bitten him. He would’ve sworn and sicced his own Pokemon on them, or even attacked them himself if he had no other choice. He didn’t survive alone with no home for six years without learning how to defend himself, after all. Also, this would’ve contributed to his distrust of unfamiliar Pokemon.

How does your character treat people in service jobs? He ignores them for the most part. They give him what he wants, he gives them cash, and they never see each other again. No reason to be especially nice or antagonistic.

Does your character feel that they deserve to have what they want, whether it be material or abstract, or do they feel they must earn it first? In all honesty, he kind of does feel a little entitled to the things he wants, because he’s had a pretty hard life and he never really wants anything too unreasonable. He’s worked hard as a Pokemon trainer, even if he is mediocre, so why shouldn’t he be able to earn enough money to feed himself? He’s worked his ass off ever since he left home, he’s earned a little peace goddamn it.

Has your character ever had a parental figure who was not related to them? Yes. Persian and Weavile both.

Has your character ever had a dependent figure who was not related to them? Um... do his Pokemon count...? I’m gonna say they do. Especially in Litten and Meowth’s cases.

How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you?” Can they say it without meaning it? It is EXTREMELY difficult for Silver to say “I love you”. He doesn’t really tend to vocalize his positive feelings at all. He has to be thinking about it for it to happen. And “I love you” in particular is so romanticized, he’d easily get flustered and nervous about saying it to those he cares about (at least at first - it’s easier with his father b/c he’s said it ever since he was young). Another part to this, though, is that he was really hurt by his parents’ choice of Team Rocket being more important than their own son. As a result, it’s extremely hard for him to trust people enough to say something that intimate. He’d NEVER say it without meaning it, because why would he?

What does your character believe will happen to them after they die? Does this belief scare them? He’s completely atheist. He doesn’t believe in any kind of god or afterlife, and though reincarnation is somewhat proven with some Ghost-type Pokemon, he doesn’t believe that happens to everyone. In fact, he sort of HOPES you just disappear into nothingness after death because he’s just that sick of life’s hardships.
