now it is indeed funny because they look so good they're not the kind of dude that needs to gain someone's attention, they steal looks when they walk around but there's this need in them to have your eyes on them whenever you're close.

dick is a little more direct, he sits by your side one day and gives you a pretty smile, he would ask you what you're doing and listen to your every word just to turn the conversation into one meant to get to know you. dick asks what kind of things you like, what you drink when it's cold outside, what movies you like to watch when it's late night and he does the same every day but he starts to arrive with your favorite seasonal drink on his hand, a small dessert or a copy of your favorite old book.

on the other hand, jason is more of a watcher (not on a creepy way), he has talked to you a few times for especifical stuff so he knows you are aware of him but when he's on the same room as you he watches from afar. it's not that he's shy or insecure to talk to you but he's not that elocuent so he decides it's better to approach you with a reason. on cold days he'll find you with a book on your hand but no coffee around, he goes to get you one and sits by your side "got you this, a good book and good coffee makes a cold day better" his voice is soft and it warms your heart more than any other hot drink, he does the same until he's sure it's you sometimes looking out for him.

Okay, I can't stop laughing about Jolly at this one specific part in The Mistress Carrie Podcast, where he brings up how he closes his eyes on stage.

She asks, "What is it about that moment that you have to close your eyes?"

Jolly responds, "No, that's probably just, um, a probably very simple part where I don't really need to look at the guitar and I know how to play it first and foremost and then, eh, I don't know if you've seen us live but usually, like, I uhh, I don't do much full facial expressions at all. We do move a lot, we have our, like, you know we have our, uh, moments but I don't interfere much with like the crowd, if you know what I'm saying, or like, sing along much, like, I just, I just stare- death stare- and sometimes I just rest my eyes, I just do the same thing and I close my eyes."

He goes on, "I put my hands down and I close my eyes and then I know when the cue comes in my ear then I just go at it again. I don't know, it just feels good, instead of right just standing there just watching people for like a minute, I just, like, you know what, imma close my eyes, I'm gonna hide in here for a second."

There are only so many fanfics that use the entirety of DC as cardboard cutouts to prop up bat family characters that I can read before I go berserk.

I swear to god. Every character that has ever been shipped with a bat or coexists on the same team as a bat is owed an apology.

How many Young Justice fanfics that solely revolve around Tim must exist? How many Titans fanfics centered only on Dick? Why is it a herculean task to find a Justice League fanfic without Bruce as the main character?

And then even when you do find a fic that seems like it's balanced, everything still revolves around the bat. Like Kon, Cassie and Bart have nothing else going on in their lives except Tim and Tim's issues or thinking about Tim. Like Donna and Wally and Roy just cannot function if they aren't spending every waking moment thinking about Dick.

I'm... Guys. I'm at my limit. I swear to god. We need to make a Batman tag and surgically remove all these fics and quarantine them there. We'll keep the actual DC fics and they can do whatever the fuck they want in their own tag. It's getting ridiculous how hard it is to find fanfic that's actually DC related and isn't just 'The BatFam Show'.
