Here’s a (long) writing update, a glimpse of upcoming projects, announcements, and even a sneak peek or two. Least to say, I've been busier than the Marauder's map lol 🤓

Aside from a Russell Shaw prequel, I’ve also been working on not one but two Soldier Boy series, a Dean Winchester series & a (few) one-shots 🫡

Pairing: Russell Shaw x female!Reader

A/N: Set mostly in 2005 Iraq and tells the story how Russell met the reader from The Exit Strategy. Get ready for a 26-year-old, clean-shaven, soldier!Russell 🫡

Preview:

Hushed voices hurried around the corner past Russell. His demeanor remained the ever-sober soldier as he stole a quick glance at the newest arrivals. A middle-aged, gray-haired and bearded man opened the vault doors with keycard, fingerprint and passcode after depositing his phone. He was the CIA chief of station. A young woman in jeans, a white shirt, and a black blazer stayed close by his side. She was wearing the same keycard on a navy blue band around her neck that read the usual governmental alphabet soup.

And that woman turned out to be you, as Russell would later discover.

For now, though, he stopped you from entering by softly holding you back by your arm. Your brows drew up in both surprise and expectancy as you glanced up at him, your eyes wandering up his torso and taking note of the “SHAW” name tag on the right side of his firm chest, the corporal rank insignia on the collars of his tan button-up, and the Airborne emblem on his left shoulder sleeve.

“Your devices, ma’am,” Russell reminded you gently and abstained from cracking a smile. He had never, ever wanted to smile at someone here before, but now he could feel his facial muscles eagerly twitching. Resistance almost became a cardio workout.

He fully blamed it on the little mischievous twinkle in your eyes.

With a tilt of your head, you smiled – innocently at first. “Don’t carry any. Left them at my desk.” Then a smirk appeared on your lips. “You wanna make sure and frisk me, go right ahead.”

Don’t temp me, don’t temp me, don’t temp me…

You smiled victoriously. “Thought so.”

Pairing: Soldier Boy/Ben x supe!Reader

Series Summary: Unable to control your abilities, you’re stuck in the present with Billy Butcher, his team, and America’s first asshole. At this point, you’ve become Soldier Boy’s personal punching bag. But when an accident leaves you stranded in 1942, you run into a familiar face and suddenly rely on your future tormentor’s help as your only hope.

A/N: Set partially in 1942, reader is a supe with chronokinesis and meets the man before he becomes the monster. A slow burn with full enemies to lovers vibes 🕰️😉

You had landed on a street, your feet safely planted on a sidewalk. Glistening white snow covered the pavement in a thick veil, the sky a dull gray blanket above. Icicles hung from lampposts with patriotic banners flying in the chill, proclaiming messages to buy war bonds and save scrap metal.

Huh…

Powdered flakes swirled around you as a streetcar clattered past you on a cobbled street, the sound muffled by the snow. Storefronts and shops lined both sides of the street, shoppers bustling by you in coats, hats, and scarves. Your brow furrowed softly at the row of parked, snow-covered cars that looked a tad… old.

Oh no…

You had definitely traveled back a smidge, but luckily not as far as the Middle Ages again. Judging by the moderately busy street, you assumed you were at least still in New York City. A paperboy was shouting loudly further down, but you couldn’t understand him from the distance. The only word that was plastered everywhere was war.

World War I or World War II, maybe?

Wherever – or whenever – you were, you couldn’t get stuck here. Your short-lived fascination with your new environment was then quickly replaced by a rising panic in your throat.

You had to get home somehow.

Squeezing your eyes shut as tightly as you could, you tried to wish yourself back – unfortunately, you didn’t possess a pair of ruby slippers you could click. The more you tried and failed, the more anxious you became, and you knew a full-on panic attack was just waiting for you around the corner.

“Whoa! Hey, careful…”

With your hands on your knees, you bumped backwards into a man, your lungs constricting so much they barely let any air pass. You spun around, eyes wide and body trembling as a set of hands landed gently on your shoulders and waist for support.

“Miss? Are you alright?”

What little breath you had got caught in your throat as you stared into an all-too familiar set of outlandishly green eyes.

going with raihan! and when we met i Loathed him. i thought he was so gorgeous but soooooo fed up with himself. im also a dragon-type trainer so i compare myself a lot!!

he made an off-handed comment once about me not being as commited a type-specific trainer as him because i also have a gengar on my main team. he meant no harm and said it in completely friendly jest but i 😡 immediately went enemies to lovers on his ass rather than friendly rivals to lovers JSJSJWJW 😭

now we tease each other a lot and have tons of inside jokes. we're kind of an annoying duo in the friend group bcos we get so hyper and silly/noisy around each other. piers and nessa (jokingly/friendly) sigh out dramatically whenever they found out we'll BOTH attend whatever thing thats happening ✨
