Hello, hello!! I joined the @sonic-fankid-showdown and thought I’d do a very quick intro for my baby!! This is Star!! She’s a sonjet baby and strives to follow in Jet’s footsteps to become a great extreme gear racer! More to come on her soon!! And feel free to ask any questions!!

I'm super stoked to be invited alongside some amazing indie ttrpg folks to talk about the last 50 years of TTRPGS (!!!) and where we're headed.

Meguey and Vincent Baker are the phenomenal folks behind the Powered by the Apocalypse (PbtA) engine, and without their work so many amazing games wouldn't have gotten made. In all the years I've played TTRPGs, it wasn't until I started playing PbtA games that I finally thought that hey, maybe I can make games too? It's wild to imagine that my initial attempts at PbtA design got to a point where Apocalypse Keys is now on book shelves (W I L D!!!)

I'll be interviewed alongside the Bakers to discuss PbtA design over the years and into the future. Honestly My Soul Leaves My Body each time I think about talking to them (but they're very cool and sweet people, the Bakers have been super influential and supportive of indie design for years and years)

We've got four days left and we're so close to our goal! Help us make this happen?

Lyney gasped as he looked around at his surroundings, this was strange as this wasn't Fontaine or Teyvat.

Sure, everything looked the same or rather similar but it really wasn't, there was no fountain, no court, just many houses and a giant one that resembled importance.

Where exactly was he...?

Where was his sister Lynette and where was Freminet?

Was he alone here?

Well, best not to sit around as it was time to investigate to see where he was, it also seemed to be nightfall here which served well as he was adapted to moving swiftly when it's dark.

He slowly got up, dusting off his attire before venturing forth to see who or what was here.

Best to remain curious also, who knows what might happen in mere minutes.

He neared the biggest structure as it seemed to be a place of authority and there seemed to be officers or such around, need to move swiftly and stealthy.

Amamiya-Niijima Residence Early Morning Saturday, April 1st; 2028

It was a day like any other, a typical lazy Saturday for the household. Makoto had the day off, and the twins and Kanji had stayed over at Ann's place last night, meaning that for once, the two could sleep in a bit longer today.

Sure, they still had their youngest daughter Himeko to watch after, and while the girl was usually a handful, especially in the mornings, she was being oddly quiet today. Something he might've questioned, were he awake enough to do such a thing.

Instead he enjoyed the calm, cuddling up to his wife in their bed in peaceful slumber... until a small glob of peanut butter landed on his face-

"GAH-!!"

He suddenly jolted upright, arms raised as if preparing himself for a fight before taking in his surroundings.

Their bedroom door was open, revealing a bit of a mess down the hall, but the most confusing part was a trail of peanut butter that made it's way up the door frame, along the wall, and continued up the ceiling.

"What the..?"

He was still half asleep, so it took him a moment to fully process what he was seeing. But eventually, his eyes followed the trail along the ceiling all the way up to smiling infant with curly black hair sticking to the ceiling, her hands and feet caked in the same peanut butter that lead up to her. As soon as his eyes laid upon her, she started giggling at him, probably finding his confused expression amusing.

And HOO BOY, was he confused. He rubbed his eyes and pinched himself to make sure he wasn't just dreaming.

This didn't make any sense. None of his other kids had powers. Sure, Ceza had mentioned seeing weird things on occasion, but they couldn't stick to walls or anything like this! Yet here was Himeko, not even two years old yet, hanging around up there like it was the most normal thing in the world.

"Um... Koto... We've got a baby on the ceiling-"

When she heard a rustling in the bushes, she doubled back to the edge of the wading pool for her Sheikah gauntlet, expecting another run-in with a wild animal or a stray bokoblin rummaging through her clothes. She grabbed her shirt she had left hanging on a branch, hastily covering herself so she had some semblance of decency, her hair dripping wet as it clung to her skin.

"Who's there? I swear, Anton... if that's you, I'm going to throw you into the reservoir and leave you to drown!"

Well, this wasn't very good. She had strayed too far from the Domain's center on patrol, and her warriors were to where to be found. Rumors had spread that another Lynel had made its way toward the outskirts of her land, and this time, they wanted to keep it away.

She wants to apologize for startling the other, but all formalities were out the window (Even decency didn't matter.) Instead, the Zora appears, crouching behind the bush, holding her trident close with one hand, motioning to the stranger, "Get down! Shush!"

Andy grew up in Brindleton Bay developing a love for animals from a very young age. Her parents expected her to be a vet like them, but her interests pulled her towards sports and vintage cars/motorcycles. She recently opened her own repair shop and spends her days working out, doing passion projects, extreme sports and traveling. Now that she's satisfied with her career, she wonders if there might be someone special out there for her to build a life and family with.

Andy is active, a dog lover, a slob and hopefully just who Fern's looking for <3

the older i get and the closer i am to reaching 30, the more the people around me try to deny me my age. it’s a constant ‘oh you’re just turning 29 again teehee 🤭’ or ‘dont tell your SO that, he’ll leave you for a younger model 😉’ and i just???? hate it?????????

i spent my entire teenaged years fighting for my life. i crawled through the deepest pits of my depression to cling to the promise of a life beyond that pain. i was so convinced that i was going to die young, that i would never see the grace of my age starting with a 2, let alone 3.

so im going to turn 30, and there’s not a damn thing anyone can do to stop me from loving it.

my prof just explained on the syllabus that he’s included more points in the class than we needed to pass, so we could skip up like?? 20 small assignments/quizzes/participation!! and still get a very high grade!!

the idea was that we could focus on assignments that played to our strengths - only do the participation stuff if we like to talk out loud - only do the quizzes/readings if we want to do the class remotely - only do online discussions if we like to talk and share opinions but struggle with anxiety in class ect.

and that’s cool enough but then he pulled up DnD character sheets with drawings he’d done of these hypothetical student player classes and how our various accessibility needs could be gamified to ‘max out’ different aspects of the class to get high grades and like!!!!!

hell yeah!!!! let’s treat accessibility in higher education not just as a necessity but as the fun, engaging, and creative aspect of learning that it is!!! I love this!!
