Lights! Camera! Headcanons! Reca.
SFW collection of silly HCs!

- Little Miss Frog is only ever oiled by Reca. He doesn't trust anyone else to be as thorough with her joints as he is.
- Reca has multiple hats for his favorite assistant director, it's just the one we see her wearing all the time is her favorite
- If for some reason you ever needed to switch shoes with Reca, he would gladly do so. After all, what kind of love interest would he be if he couldn't even do that much? The only problem is that he looks better in your heels than you ever have.
- He has a pair of shades with a print of old TV static on the lenses. They are not practical at all but he still uses them.
- This man does not know the meaning of the word subtlety
- You're getting atrocious petnames 24/7, to the point you even begin to think he's forgotten your actual name. It's always love muffin this, honey bear that- and if you ever jokingly refer to yourself as one of them it might as well become a part of Reca’s daily vocabulary.
- He has had multiple people in the past pointing a remote at him to see if they could pause the YouTube play button in his eyes. Now, whenever he sees someone holding one close to him, Reca just snatches it because he's that fed up.
- The button can change, but he's never telling you how it works.
- “The mystery only compels you further to my character, sweetie pie.”
- Please do not trust this man with cooking. He's more of an order in kind of guy and trust that that's preferable over letting him near a stove, oven, or even a microwave on some days. However, he will set the table and clean the dishes for you- it just might take a while because he's busy editing a script.
- Has picked up tons of little facts over the years from all the research he's put behind films. You could ask the most random questions and he'll undoubtedly have an answer- even if it concerns you how he knows how to dispose of a full body.
- On that note, Reca knows a good handful of the meanings behind names, so when someone introduces themselves to him, he usually ends up deciding if that “meaning” fits their character.
- Usually, it doesn't.
- Aka: Crew members
- It's easier that way.
- Those who are a regular part of his filming crew all carry earplugs with them now as a habit after having to listen to Reca's …excited shouting.
- He disapproves of relationships amongst the cast. There's always going to be issues working with people, but he doesn't need the entire film getting pushed aside because one couple had a fight! It’s utterly nonsensical to bring that onto his set. Save that for after everything has wrapped up.
- Anyone listen to Distractible and Markiplier’s entire stunt with lenses? Reca's worse. That's your only warning.
- After your first kiss, when Reca was walking back home, all self accomplished, he jumped up and cracked his feet together- completely unironically. He's not even ashamed about it, either.
- If Reca didn't start on Broadway as part of the crew, then he at least had some experience with it. (He was the theater kid in school). He knows a good couple of songs off the top of his head at this point, and when this one particular song comes on, he always has to stop himself from dancing.
- Owns a gramophone, but it only works half the time. Reca claims it's part of its charm….
- You've watched him mix redbull and coffee together only to drink it all down in a single sitting, then walk away without an explanation. That entire night he was yapping in your ear excitedly only to fall asleep on top of you as soon as it hit 4am.
- Reca tends to repeat the stories he's told you. He just loves them so much that he gets a little ahead of himself and forgets which ones he's shared, that's all. Plus, with his flair for the dramatic and tendency to add in a new line or two, it keeps things fresh.
- Reca affectionately pinches your nose using that baby voice of his. It’s supposed to be an affectionate gesture, in his own way, but it just comes across as annoying.
- Reca will pick you up and spin you around (just like the movies) but at the same time this man will happily let himself flop into your lap with a hand to his forehead so he can lament to you about his woes. Usually, this just means he wants attention.
- He gets busy with filming a lot, to the point you both can go up to a month without really getting anything more in than a one minute call. Usually, Reca is running around during these, or he's so close to passing out after a long day that you're left with the sound of him snoring on the other end of the line.
- Because he's famous, there are actually a good couple of edits and images of Reca made into memes you see when scrolling online.
- His handwriting is comically large. To the point it takes up so much space, Reca might as well be writing a signature instead of scrawling down notes to ensure he doesn't forget a fantastic idea.
- He writes his 7's with that little line crossing it.
- Reca is the type to grab your shoulder while he's laughing. And he does this whether you know him well or not.

Arkanis Lore and where it stands at October 31! A quick rundown by me Kia disfrutalakia
Ok hi hello guys, so I'm assuming that you guys know me from qsmp times and I'm also assuming that most of you are not into Arkanis be it because of the language barrier or lack of time, but you still want to watch your favorite cc in the event tomorrow? Well, I'm here to help, under the cut will be a rundown of the main story (I won't get into characters individual lore, only if they tie into the main story which most do to be fair) plus links to some resources that you can use to understand Arkanis!
This is by no means perfect and was made from using stuff from my own memory, which is not the best, others can feel free to add onto it as they wish <3
1 - What is Arkanis?
Arkanis is a portuguese speaking server that started back in September, it's powered by twitch and was started by Boiss Studios and Ostra Content, it has a heavy focus on rp.
2- Who are the creators in Arkanis?
As of now we have 25 creators in the cast, this includes ex qsmp participants like Pac, Mike, Bagi and Felps as well as some faces you might recognize from purgatory like Guaxinim, Himaru, Gabepeixe. The complete list of creators is bellow:
Pac, Mike, Himaru, Febatista, Bagi, Matt, Felps, Yayah, Guaxinim, Cherry, JVNQ, Choke, MeiaUm, Guhzera, Gabepeixe, Quel, Coreano, Wuant, Maethe and FunBabe were the first batch of creators that we met.
Last week there was the addition of new members consisting of Moonkase, Malena, LBeatriz, NickLink, Al3xey and Kazzio.
Most of the members are brazilian except for Kazzio and Wuant who are portuguese.
3- What's the story of Arkanis?
The story takes place in the small city of Valigma, and it starts with with mayor Jota hiring people that are known to us as specialists to help the town.
Valigma used to be a beautiful town and very rich but recently things have been going wrong, with the water being poluted and the citizens wearing a strange kind of mask.
4- Rundown of what we have by now (this will contain spoilers skip to section 5 if you don't want them <3)
After the specialists arrived in town, we are quickly introduced to the mayor, Jota, who has been in power for 8 years now being in the end of his second term when we meet him, he appears to be a strange sort of character who hides many things although at the time the specialists weren't sure of what.
Apart from Jota we also have two other big characters Bia Raux and Araldo. Bia is a witch of sorts who was banished from the town due to the chaos she caused while Araldo is the owner of a factory that produces batteries in town.
A big part of the story focuses on arkanya, or what we would call magic in our world, a type of energy that lets the person who controls it cast sort of spells that can either be for something good or something bad, there is always a consequence to using it tho
One of the first big events in Valigma was the discovery of ghosts, small creatures that are consistent of pure arkanya and don't have any memories from before their deaths, they form a bond with the specialists calling them their parents even
Remember Araldo, the factory owner from earlier? Yeah he comes into play now, since the beginning he seemed like a suspicious kind of fellow, not showing up to speak with people and forming a sort of rivalry with Gabepeixe, there are cases of Araldo trying to dig into Gabe's lab and even trying to stop him from the creation of machines, not wanting the specialist to become more powerful than him.
You guys will have to forgive me here cause my memory is not the best, but there was an occasion where Araldo cast a illusion over the specialists where they got to see what would happen if they went against him, including robots who destroyed the town. This ilusion. due to needing certain power led to the death of Alice who was the mayor's secretary.
This occasion led to the discovery that Araldo was also capable of using arkanya just like Bia.
That event deeply effected most of the specialists making almost all of them distrust Araldo and even go directly against him by allying with others like Bia and Jota.
For the safety of not only the specialists but also the ghosts who they called children JVNQ made a truce with Araldo, he wouldn't attack them for 25 days and the specialists wouldn't go near the factory in return
Things seemed to be working out, that is until one night Bagi and Gabepeixe (two of the specialists who hate Araldo the most) decided to sort of challenge him or at least taunt him and broke into the factory (which remember, it was banned) and stole/destroyed a creative motor that was powering up the place, nothing happened at the moment but the next day all the specialists were called and Araldo did the most horrible thing, he killed Amora and Denix (two of the ghosts I will introduce them in the next point) draining all of their arkanya and making them dissapear.
This led to three important events, most of the specialists began to choose real sides it was either Bia or Araldo. Jv trying to get Denix back (his son) strikes a deal with Araldo and is taken for days while Choke strikes a deal with Bia to begin her training
Currently Araldo status is banished from the town and his factory is no longer part of Valigma, he remains a big threat tho.
Now what about Bia? Well, she is a witch and seems to have connections with the town from before it was made even, she is extremely powerful and even if when we met her she seems to be weaker than normal she is no less of a threat.
Bia has one objective, to destroy Valigma and she will do that doesn't matter who stands in her way.
She has recently been gaining the trust of many people in town, due to the act of bringing Denix and Amora back.
And what about Bad and Fit? Where do they fit into the lore? Well the truth is, we don't know. the character Bad seems to be playing (Mister X) had never been talked about before, so they are pretty much fresh and new, we don't know how their stuff connects yet
5- Ghosts
As I mentioned earlier, there are small entities in Valigma who are tiny ghosts that act as children for the specialsts, they include:
Denix - The first one to be found, his parents are Gabepeixe, Coreano, JVNW and Yayah
Gris - The second one to be found, her parents are Guaxinim, Quel, Maethe and Mike
Amora - third one to be found, her parents are Bagi, Felps, MeiaUm and Matt
Milo - the fourth one to be found, his parents are Pac, Himaru, Guhzera and Febatista
Tucupi - the last ghost, his parents are mostly Choke and Wuant
6- Links to help you with Arkanis:
First of all, the summaries made by Tayr (one of the founders) are essential and probably your best resource to understanding the story without having to watch all the stream: Link to his channel
Second the Arkanis wiki, it's not complete but can help with knowing the characters better a little bit: Link to the wiki
Now you guys won't like this but, their twitter or bluesky, it's where they post the schedules for the week and do important announcements, personally I try to post all they announce in here: Link to their twitter Link to their bluesky
Their youtube where they post all of the cutscenes that are shown in game: Link to their youtube
And of course the beautiful Arkanis tag here on tumblr <3 it's a small one but it's a good place to find art and some liveblogs!

I'm Watching You
Part 1 || Part 2||
Rating: T
Relationships: Dr. Eggman | Dr. Ivo Robotnik/Agent Stone
Add tags: Sonic Boom AU, Established Relationship, Sonic POV, Outsider's POV, suggestive themes, Gomez and Morticia type dynamic, Boom Stobotnik is so soft and yucky gay with each other, I love Sticks but she is like the most difficult character to write, paranoia, ambiguous mpreg, at least from Sonic's POV, Sonic Boom cast, Sonic boom lore, Boom botnik is my lovely little puppy and Stone LYOOOOVVVVESSSS him, mpreg, transmasc Stone, pet names, canon-typical 4th wall breaking
Summary: Agent Stone may have everyone else fooled, but Sonic isn't about to let him get away with it
A/N: This fic is unfinished! Writing this mainly for fun and we'll see where it goes.
Side note, I haven't finished watching the series and I actually prefer listening people talking about it than actually watching
"12 o'clock." Sonic muttered, once he spots Amy running towards them at full tilt. She's obviously carrying something in her hands, small enough not to be seen from a distance, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything good. "Hide your veggie burgers, people."
Knuckles frowned. "That's an oxymoron." He says, and Sonic doesn't get to do anything further than a punctuating groan of annoyance before Amy's upon them. "Guess what!" She says, jumping up and down and up and down and up and down, circling their little table at the corner of MehBurger. "Guess what guess what guess what!"
Sonic stops Knuckle's head from following the rapid movements before the echidna throws up again. Tails gently shoves his goggles up, courteous. Sticks huffs, snorting chilli dog all over the table top. "Girl, with the way you're living your life I can't even begin to imagine." She drawls.
Amy seems completely unbothered by both the hypocrisy and lack of table manners, which is how Sonic knows it's serious. She slaps down the table, jostling all their meals and Tails' new tinker machine, and the small thing he'd spot her carrying was actually a little note—with a recognizably tidy and perfectly legible font.
"It's STONE!" She shrieks.
Ah, agent Stone, thought Sonic bitterly. A newer cast member in their little circus troupe. Stone had arrived about two Mobian summers ago, on a non-descript boat that docked at night and turned tail by sunrise, leaving behind a dark, handsome and mysterious stranger that hadn't bothered to introduce himself to the sleepy village in exchange for legging it up the miles it takes to Eggman's lair. Team Hero hadn't exactly been privy to what happens in the strangely peaceful days that follow, but if Cubot and Orbot are to be believed; the man in question had been a secret agent deployed by a shadow government organization going around calling themselves the Guardian Units of the Nation, better known as GUN. Or better better known as Eggman's previous employers.
As if it hadn't been unbelievable enough that Eggman used to have some sembance of a life before he'd washed up on their little island, the bots have then continued to explain they'd sent the man over to finish what GUN started when Eggman left: either to convince him to return to his job as a lab rat for the military, or kill him, once and for all.
(Pause here for a theatrical chorus of gasps.)
"We have to go save him!" Amy had cried.
"We do?" Sonic had asked.
"You don't have to," said Cubot, chipper and stupid as always. "The boss handled it."
It felt a bit anti-climatic. Sonic snorted. "Sure. And how'd he manage that? Convinced them he's too dumb to be of any value even if they brought him back to the mainland?"
Orbot shrugged. "Stone would have killed him, if so. No, they've established something of an…agreement." The red-toned round android explained with a significant pause, sharing a look with his twin compatriot. Realizing now that he might have let something slip that he probably shouldn't've, Orbot is quick to add; "The details of which remain highly confidential, of course."
Sonic shared his own meaningful look with Tails. They both know this probably meant the bots have no idea what these details even were. "Sure," Sonic said again, slowly. "So he…what? Left?"
"Oh, no." Said Cubot, happy. "He's here to stay."
"Stay?!" Everyone yelled, cartoonishly synchronized.
"Oh, yes." Said Orbot, a little ominously. It might be accounted to how clearly pleased he is about it. "He'd sworn an oath! The Doctor has now made him his right hand man, effective immediately. By all accounts, Agent Stone seems to have resigned his previous position in the military to assume this new job."
"He lives with us now!" Cubot adds. "It's great! He's so much better and tidier and less shouty than the boss, and we're pretty sure he's gonna be here for a long time-,"
"For now." Orbot adds mildly.
"-so the boss sent us down here just to give you that up-and-up." Cubot punctuates this statement with a thumbs up. "Professional and all that."
"It does make for a convenient exposition flashback." Knuckles agreed.
Sonic hadn't been entirely sure how he feels about this new guy; everyone on the Island knows he's the last person you'd think with any scrap of affection for Eggman (and they'd be right. Sonic would sooner laugh and point if Eggman had ever fell from his eggmobiles hundreds of feet off the ocean than lift a finger to help him.), but bloody rivalry aside, 5 years is an awful long time to know someone. Eggman was kinda-sorta-not really a friend, at this point, and the villagers had mostly began to regard his bi-weekly acts of destruction as some sort of predictable natural disaster pattern. At some point, you just kind of expected him to be there.
That in mind, Eggman was more than just his unrelenting desire for world domination. He's witty and kind of funny, in that pathetic kind of way.
Eggman is also, unmistakeably, painfully lonely. An…acquaintance might worry.
Of course, these concerns turn moot upon the man's debut appearance that following Sunday morning.
Stone fits like a puzzle piece.
He's quick, he's ruthless, he's fresh; in that new and exciting way that actually got Sonic thinking out of the box to beat him. Eggman's new plan had been to reform the geological structure of the island by force—allegedly to better shape the island for his future plans of clearing the whole thing out and building his Eggman Empire amusement park. The team had to go scattering to find each and every large scale bomb and missile launch scattered around the island and either deactivate or redirect it away from civilians—and the secret agent on the prowl had really come to play.
Agent Stone is a little more than human, though what exactly marks this difference, Sonic can't exactly tell. He's strong, sure—Amy strong—he's good, but worse than that was that he's smart. Stone in hand-to-hand combat is what Eggman thinks he would be. He was somehow in every position on the island at once—to a point where they had all initially suspected he had something similar to Shadow's chaos controlled teleportation—before Tails had figured out that they were playing a game of chess, and the board was connected through underground tunnels. Each detonation would begin the countdown for the next, at erratic moments, and Stone and Eggman knew all the places they'd have to be next.
It still took all five of them—Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, Tails and Sticks—working together to be able to put Stone down for a good enough length of time that they could stop the next missile (and simultaneously deactivate every other missile throughout the island), and Stone takes the loss with such grace it still pissed him off. That almost familiar evil grin doesn't falter, not even once. He made proper introductions as he was apprehended by the village authorities. His suit is clearly designed by Eggman—with purple in place of Eggman's own iconic red—and hexagonal violet-tinted sunglasses over deep brown eyes, like a black hole. Looking at them exposed too long gives Sonic the willies.
Unsurprisingly, he broke out shortly after nightfall, safely ensconced once more in the Egg lair.
In the seasons that follow the team warm up to him with little fanfare. Sometimes Eggman shows up alone, and other times it's Stone—just like his debut— but most of the time they show up together, and now it's almost difficult to remember a time when Eggman had ever worked alone without his ever-present, slightly scarier shadow. They're close. Close close.
Stone is apparently perfectly amicable in his off-hours. Amy reports that he does a lot of knitting with her on Thursdays to share gossip, and Tails enjoys infodumping about aeronautic engineering on the man, since Agent Stone apparently had three PhD's. Knuckles remains indifferent (although he'd apparently enjoyed Stone's cookies—cookies which Sonic himself had never been offered), which leaves Sticks as the only person left on Sonic's side that still doesn't completely trust him.
Not the greatest indication of sanity.
This segues nicely back into our present hour.
(The screen pauses, gray, and static lines hit play over Amy's enthusiastic announcement. It's Stone! Colour returns.)
"Is he okay?" Tails asked.
"Does he need help?" Knuckles followed.
"Has he left?" Sonic hoped, and Amy hits him on the arm. It hurts, and he lets her know about it. "Ow."
Everybody ignores him. Typical. Amy barrels on. "Yes, no, maybe." She said, before inhaling deeply. As she breathes out, it is with another excited shriek—"Stone. Is. PREGNANT!"
To Sonic, it feels like the whole world had been shocked still. The entire table gasped.
"Oh my goodness!" Tails said.
"Good for him." Sticks said.
"What?" Sonic demands, whirling around to face the last ally he had in the face of their newcomer. "Sticks, you don't even like him!"
"I'm not an ass, Sonic." The badger rolled her eyes.
"It's happy news!" Amy agreed.
"Are you guys serious?" Sonic demands, rising to his feet. "This is terrible news! Eggman's procreating!"
Knuckles frowned. "Are you being homophobic right now?"
Tails, Sticks and Amy gasped in scandalized horror. Sonic facepalmed. "No, you idiots, I'm trans, why would I even—that doesn't even make any sense!"
"I'm honored you'd tell me that, man." Knuckles said gently.
"You see me wearing the trans pride pin at Pride every year!" Sonic yells, deranged.
"We should get Eggman one of those baby shower baskets." Tails suggests. Sonic feels like pulling his quills out.
"Is nobody listening to me?" He groaned, laying back against Sticks who has continued to munch on her lunch with disinterest. "Are we seriously going to celebrate new Eggbabies being welcomed into the world and making our lives living hell?"
"Eggbabies!" Amy said, already stepping up next to Tails as he gathered all the tinkering materials from his table. "That's so cute! Do you think they'd be born with little mustaches?"
"Ew," said Sticks. "I think they're gonna be born with laser robot eyes and chips behind their ears…just like all secret agent babies."
"Sticks, you don't really think secret agents are born with trackers in their brains, right?" Tails asked, worried.
"Hello?" Sonic demands, futile. The rest of the group is already headed for Amy's place, no doubt planning to gather all relevant materials in the making of their new plan; giving Eggman and Stone a baby basket to celebrate the news. There's no winning this. Even as Sonic whined and sighed and dragged his feet, he still follows, sulkily finishing the rest of his chilli dog on the way.

Any other Still Wakes the Deep headcanons??
Okay.
TW: Alcohol addiction.
Caz is 5ft7. Someone (I forgot, sorry) said that electricians sometimes only take on smaller apprentices so they can fit into tight spaces.
When he was a semi-professional boxer, Caz was a light-weight.
Many of the older crew members know of Caz's former boxing career. O'Connor, Bruce, Finlay, McLurg, Sunil and Innes are fans.
Caz got into boxing by his dad. He was a semi-professional from his late teen until his late 20s. He stopped because of either an injury or to be with Suze. However, this caused Caz's dad, who he had always tried to impress, to leave.
Caz's father was an alcoholic who drank himself to death over his son's retirement, not long after his second daughter was born.
This death caused Caz to fall into alcoholism himself which lead to the events of Cait and Maidie going missing, because he didn't watch them. Roy was with Caz when this happened and it caused him to seek AA treatment.
Cait is the oldest daughter, who is 9 by the events of the game. Maidie is the youngest and only 5 by the events of the game.
Suze is a receptionist for a private doctor's office.
Roy introduced Suze to Caz. It's why Caz says he needs to raise a glass for him at the end of the game.
Roy was a chef for a local pub. When it closed, he applied for the oil-rig position, but the Beria wasn't his first post.
Roy has never married.
Trots was a cleaner on Beria.
Most of the cast served in WW2, including Rennick, Trots and Roper. Finlay worked in a factory during this time.
Gibbo is a widower. When he's away, his son, who's 13, lives with his grandmother.
Gibbo was killed by Addair. Addair was infected by Gibbo when he went looking for him. After turning, in rage he killed and absorbed him.
Davros is the appointed doctor on Beria. Yes I know...
Davros nearly escaped, but the parasite destroyed the lifeboat, causing him to drown.
O'Connor and Mary don't have children.
Muir and Brodie love comic books.
Innes is the only blonde on Beria.
Scooby is an apprentice under Sunil's supervision.
Innes, Dobbie, McLurg and Sunil were killed by Muir because he slammed them so hard against the wall/concrete/pipes/metal gates. Basically a mixed of being crushed and blunt force trauma.
Muir died when the helicopter crashed. It caused him to slip off the rig and drown.
Going by theme here, none of the infected can swim. They could before but the parasite and their new bodies isn't built for swimming.

New bad idea (and/or prediction) for season 6
It's modded. Each player gets to pick one mod they like/are familiar with, so there's 17-ish different mods (depending on if all players return or not). Or like some vanilla-esque tweaks and things that fall somewhere between not technically vanilla but also not technically a mod, like for example, the soul bond or timer gimmicks from previous seasons, and/or whatever is going on with the whole secret tasks this season
Hypothetical thoughts on some of who picks what:
Scott picks origins (vampire Scott my beloved)
Cleo picks whichever mod from witchcraft is the hex casting/explosion artifact one (Cleo with magic explosion gun goes brrrrr. Cleo with magic gun my beloved) [alternatively, the drinks and alcohol one from pirates, but as life tends to follow the Hermits in generally being pg-ish, I'd say magic gun is more likely, but who knows]
Etho picks something from the Vault Hunters pack if it's still separate mods in a pack (I've only seen season one vault hunters properly, but I've seen a handful of clips and a lot of screenshots from the hermit vault hunters series). If it's all one thing, maybe he just pick vault hunters entirely and it's a life x vault hunters crossover mini season lol (iskall and grian collaboration my beloved)
I think tango would pick create mod
If there's some kind of phasmophobia mod I feel like Skizz might pick that just for the bit
I think mumbo would pick either some kind of Redstone mod or the one with the nether portals (I think it's immersive portals? Idk the exact name, I just remember a video where he had fun playing with modded nether portals)
Maybe Pearl picks the Moon big mod from season eight of hermit craft. The wrath of the moon smiles upon you (also, would probably make season 6 life like a Majora's mask-esque thing, so maybe instead of 3 lives it's 3 days to stop the moon or finish the season)
I think it would be funny if Jimmy picked whatever mod was the one that made them small in Rats smp
If Pearl takes Moon big, one of the other soup group members has to pick some kind of food based mod. Probably Impulse, cause I feel like Gem would either pick a biomes or building based mod.
Maybe Bigb picks a backrooms mod of some kind bases on him making his own mini-version of the backrooms this season.
Martyn likes lore, so maybe he picks something that's based on Evo or watcher stuff, or maybe goes for like a technically vanilla thing in asking that they play in an older version of Minecraft (maybe specifically a version that was played in Evo, maybe the version that introduces the ender dragon for spicy lore)
Would be kinda neat and funny if Grian picked something from Wynncraft I think. (Is Grian still involved with Wynn? I know he used to either be like an admin or co-own it or something, but I don't remember exactly rn)
Idk about the others
Happy Holidays!
Happy Holidays to another victim of the inbox eating asks for over a year </3

hi i have a brody request if you want to take it, but brody introduces his girlfriend that no one knows about to the cast and everyone is pretty skeptical of her because she doesn’t talk to anyone and has a really bad rbf but really she’s just shy around people, and when Brody makes her laugh, she doesn’t stop talking and everyone is like ????!!!!
Authors Note: yes ofc anon! we love some good doubt and skepticism...right guys?
"Are you sure?"
Brody Grant x fem!reader

The cast had gathered around the stage door area, a mixture of post-rehearsal exhaustion and the usual chaos of waiting to get out. Brody, ever the upbeat and bubbly personality, walked in with a girl beside him. She was quieter than usual, not saying much, and to be honest, the group wasn’t sure what to make of her.
"Hey, guys! This is… uh, my girlfriend, Y/N," Brody announced with his usual enthusiasm, giving her a smile that bordered on goofy.
Y/N gave a small wave, but she didn’t say anything, just holding onto Brody’s hand. She didn’t look directly at anyone, just glanced at the floor, avoiding eye contact. The group exchanged glances — there was a clear, silent “uhhhh okay?” that passed through the room.
“Hi, Y/N,” one of the cast members, Melody Rose, said hesitantly, but Y/N didn’t respond. The silence in the air felt a little awkward, and Brody, ever the extrovert, tried to ease the tension.
“So, uh, yeah, she’s… new to all this Broadway madness. A little shy,” Brody explained, giving her a playful nudge.
“Shy, huh?” Brent said, raising an eyebrow as he gave Y/N a quick once-over. “I mean, not that you can blame her with a guy like Brody. He’s… a lot.”
Brody grinned sheepishly, and the group chuckled, but Y/N remained quiet, her expression unchanging, which only seemed to deepen the curiosity — and the skepticism — swirling in the room.
A few more moments of awkward silence passed, the cast unsure how to move forward. Brody noticed and gave Y/N a soft smile.
“Okay, okay, you know what would help?” Brody asked her, eyes twinkling mischievously. “A joke.”
She looked at him, her face blank for a second, before a reluctant smile tugged at the corners of her mouth.
“I’ve got the perfect one,” Brody said dramatically. “Why don’t skeletons fight each other?”
Y/N's eyes flicked to him, looking for the punchline, and Brody, with his usual flair, grinned wide.
“Because they don’t have the guts!”
And just like that, Y/N let out a burst of laughter. It wasn’t a tiny, polite laugh either — it was full and genuine, the kind of laugh that made her cheeks flush and her whole body shake. Brody’s goofy grin only made it worse as she laughed harder and harder. Her arms wrapped around her stomach, and she was practically gasping for air, not even trying to stop herself.
The entire room froze. No one knew what to say. Brody watched her, clearly loving the way she was reacting. He had never seen her like this before, at least not around so many people.
“Wait…” SarahGrace blinked. “Is… is she laughing?”
“Uh, yeah?” Brody said, clearly amused by the reaction. “She laughs. Just… not around a lot of people. She’s shy, okay?”
The rest of the cast was still trying to process what had just happened. They were expecting a quiet, reserved girl, not this bright, almost infectious energy that came out of nowhere.
“I don’t think I’ve ever heard her laugh like this,” Brody continued, his eyes softening as he looked at Y/N, who was still giggling, her laughter now starting to die down, but she was still smiling.
“What the heck?” Kevin said, genuinely baffled. “She’s really different with you.”
Y/N, still catching her breath, finally turned to the group. “I’m sorry,” she said, voice quieter now but warmer. “I just… I really like that joke. It’s dumb, but funny.”
And just like that, the air shifted. The entire group went from skeptical to charmed in a matter of seconds.
“Well, if Brody’s gonna make you laugh this much, we might just have to keep him around,” Sky joked.
“Yeah, seriously,” Jason added. “You should come around more often, Lily. I think we’re starting to see the fun side of you.”
Y/N blushed slightly but smiled, the tension around her melting away now that she wasn’t trapped in a room full of strangers.
Brody leaned in closer, still grinning. “I told you, didn’t I? She’s got jokes. You guys just have to… earn them.”
The cast laughed, and Y/N, finally feeling a little more comfortable, joined in. There was a new understanding in the room — not just of her, but of Brody’s quirky ability to bring out the best in people.

Thoughts on Moana/Vaiana 2 and how it compares to Tangled the Series
Sooo...I've watched "Moana/Vaiana 2" recently and it's been on my mind a lot lately. Maybe because I hadn't watched a movie on the big screen in years, or because I kept listening to "Get lost" a little more than I dare admit, but well. I've had thoughts and since Tumblr is basically fandom haven, I want to know what you think about it.
So here's a comment I wrote on Youtube (on a video review of the sequel to Moana/Vaiana) earlier today:
I had a great time, the movie is visually GORGEOUS, loooved the bat lady's song (best song of the movie imho), but something felt…off? Especially because the side-characters felt at the same time underdeveloped, but also a little, I don't want to say copied, because that sounds too negative, but TOO familiar? As in, I felt like I had seen similar archetypes somewhere else but done better/more developed. And then it hit me: some of the characters in Moana 2 reminded me of the supporting cast in Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure. The quirky inventor type (Varian ♥/Loto), the grumpy old person (Old Lady Crowley/Kele), the mysterious "is she a villain or good guy?" (Adira/Matangi), just to name a few examples. So when I found out that Moana 2 was originally meant to be a TV show it all somehow immediately made sense to me. Again, not a bad movie, but not one without its flaws, either.
HONESTLY! Ever since I read about Moana/Vaiana 2 originally being meant to be a Disney+ series, I can't stop finding parts where the two are similar - which isn't a bad thing, don't get me wrong. I'm an avid fangirl of Tangled the Series and find it a darn shame that only few people actually know it. The show greately expanded Rapunzel's lore, dealt beautifully with very mature themes like trauma and how it affects people (like how being confined in that tower for all her life left its traces on Rapunzel's mental health and having to return to the ruins of her former "home" caused her to panic. Or how even after being reunited, her father still had this crippling anxiety about losing his daughter and he held on too tight, for fear of losing Raps anew) AND it did a great job of expanding the world. Not only by shedding more light on the existing main characters, but also adding fascinating new cast members like Cassandra and Varian (who both easily became my favorite parts of the show. I came for more Rapunzel and stayed for Cass). So YES, like I said, it's great that Moana/Vaiana 2 let us return to the characters we already adored from the first movie and introduced new ones, albeit with familiar traits. I mean heck, even Moni partially reminded me of Varian - the way Moni fanboys over Maui gave me amusing flashbacks to how sweet Varian reacted when he first met Eugene "Flynn Ryder". And both men respectively were equally freaked out by their fans *laughs*.
Long story short, what do you think? Do you also see these comparisons? And were there more parts I haven't mentioned that struck you as similar?
#moana 2#vaiana 2#rapunzels tangled adventure#rapunzel the series#moana#vaiana#disney#disney's tangled#tangled#tangled the series#why is get lost so good tho#It's stuck in my head#also I have to write vaiana and moana#where I live it's called Vaiana after all

Sketchbook Post! [ 1 ]
Welcome to my first sketchbook doodle dump!
I ended up having a bunch more drawings to share than I initially assumed, so I wanted to include some of my thoughts as well! This post will be quite a bit longer than usual :] thanks for stopping by!
CONTENTS:
NEW UNIVERSE (personal project work)
Sketches from life
Fanart (there's a lot of Arknights)
A couple of mini-comic sketches

-------------------------------
NEW UNIVERSE // character explorations and other doodles from my personal project!
I haven't really talked about it here, but for the past couple of years I've been working on an original story in my free time! The image above is a quick lineup of the main cast that I doodled while waiting at the station. Progress is slow, but the placeholder name is "NEW UNIVERSE", and I'm currently working on developing the stories for my characters and their origins!
(yes, i draw a lot of Arknights fanart ... but I do have some original work too LOL)
A couple characters you may have already seen are Lyda Khatra (the white-haired girl with bows in her hair) and Maria Serval (the lady who has horns and is usually smirking). They appear many times in my sketchbook, alongside many other characters that I'll try to introduce~

[ Clockwise from the top-left: Sara, Lyda Khatra, Kiron Schiavona, Red-Eye, Iris Serramount (2) ]
I recently found an old pack of red pencil leads prior to this page, so its purpose is mostly to test the material and less about the characters. But a bunch of them are on here, so I suppose it's a good chance to talk about them a bit :)
>> Sara, the top-left character drawn in light red pencil, is a young Verlin adult (note: Verlin are basically the in-universe demon people, and they're the counterpart to the angel-like Zaurites... it doesn't really give them powers or anything, I just wanted characters with horns and halos lol). She's pretty aloof and was originally a scout for the Blackbird Syndicate, one of the three power-holding entities currently in control of the (tentatively-named) city of Midria. However, she was quite terrible at her job, and they eventually realized that Sara enjoyed making/maintaining records of Midria's various fauna and cryptids. She is often followed around by a trio of little eyeball creatures :D
>> Lyda Khatra is the next character here, whom I've drawn a couple times before and posted here. In short, she's an agent for a security company known as WALTZ, which is in turn a subsidiary/cover of a group called The Styx. On missions, she partners with a boy named Sasha, but due to his unique condition (which I'm still expanding on, so I won't explain it here), she is often outcast by other WALTZ members and nicknamed "Miss Mortician". Truthfully, Lyda is just a child who ran from home, who believes that she won't ever have to acknowledge her fears if she can delude herself enough.
>> Following Lyda is Kiron Schiavona. He's a prodigy marksman who was discovered by one of the Administration's commanders, Elena Sparrow. He takes pride in his abilities, but for whatever reason, Elena has rarely assigned him to any proper missions.
>> Red-Eye is up next, in her usual twin-tailed hairstyle. She is from the Blackbird Syndicate's courier department, which is pretty much the city's only remaining postal/courier system. As a highly capable messenger, she and fellow courier Orion take on many high-priority delivery, retrieval, and escort missions. (additional note: I used to draw her with only one red eye, but somehow the heterochromia felt boring after a while, so both her eyes are usually red now. But either is fine)
>> Last on this page is Iris Serramount. Her story continues to be revised and rewritten, so there's not much I can say about her yet (except that she's 19, which is a fact that has stuck throughout most of her iterations).

Some other characters that I don't draw as often include Myra ("Malady"), Seremi and William Khatra (Lyda's older siblings who work for the Administration), and to a lesser extent, Maria Serval. Red-Eye's coworker/partner Orion doesn't get much time in the spotlight either :P
The following group of images includes a bunch of their sketches. Seremi is the one with the chin-length messy hair + a cape. She and Maria have a lot of history, and the two of them still work in the same division to this day. Myra/Malady is the one with the choppy hair, holding a chain-scythe in the third (?) image. Her original concept had her as a cowardly clairvoyant trying to take back her life for herself, but the clairvoyance isn't really relevant to the story anymore. Orion is in the last image.
(Yes, I did draw Arknights' Lappland with my Maria Serval in the first one. I'm a big fan of their 'shit-eating grin' energy lol)

-------------------------------
Sketches from/inspired by life // quick studies of people and places, often at the park
I'm lucky to live near many wonderful parks and greenspaces, which gives me a lot of opportunities to people-watch and draw from life. Admittedly, I only started taking advantage of this recently, but I'm glad to have started late rather than never :]
Also, I have access to this really awesome roof, which I take inspiration from in a couple of these drawings. It's in a pretty industrial but under-maintained area, but luckily that means there are lots of rusty pipes, worn bricks, and random metal gadgets that really scratch my aesthetic itch!! I hope to incorporate more of that visual feeling into my artwork going forward.

-------------------------------
FANART DOODLES // unsurprisingly, it's mostly Arknights
This is probably the content you're the most familiar with, albeit in a different style than usual. At this point, Lappland is my warm-up and passtime go-to, so she shows up a lot. I also drew Asuka from Evangelion the other day, and I really like how that sketch turned out!

-------------------------------
MINI-COMICS // doodles of scenes that popped into my head
I'm terrible at writing, especially when it comes to stories, so these are probably mediocre at best. But I hope to publish NEW UNIVERSE as a comic/manga-styled story eventually, so you could say these are just my first steps, hehe :]
1: Red-Eye and Courier receive an unconventional request
2: Commander Sparrow introduces Kiron to his new squad members, the Raptors (featuring Maria Serval being very snarky)

-------------------------------
That'll conclude this sketchbook post! If you've read this far: I know this was a REALLY long post, but I hope it was enjoyable! I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback!
There are a couple more drawings that I'm quite fond of, but unfortunately I've now hit the image limit for a tumblr post. Maybe I'll save them for next time :] I hope to make more posts like this in the future when I have the time. Usually the stuff in my sketchbook stays in there forever and I never share it with anyone (nor do I often take the time to look back and think about it), so this was a lot of fun for me!
>> Oh, and lastly, thank you very much for nearly 500 followers!! <3
#phyriaxi#original#my art#sketchbook#traditional art#oc#arknights#doodle dump#oc rambling#sketches#long reads#WOOHOO hoping i didn't mess up the formatting ... still getting used to text posts on here! :]

My Bad Faith Media Recs:
(In which a thing i like a great deal is incredibly flawed/morally questionable/contains harmful themes & views/a combination of these)
Post-Shift 2 (Not morally bankrupt, just a powerful case study on how not to introduce players to new mechanics)
Clocktower 2: Ghost Head/The Struggle Within (IS morally bankrupt & does some absolute fuck-shit on NOT portraying DID, while also portraying things around it that are harmful. Plus, it's just bad to play, the only way you can get through this puzzle game is legit by using a walkthrough (because exploration gets you killed, & trial-&-error Do Not Work), + the endings are unsatisfactory & not worth your time to see)
Elfen Lied (maybe the worst piece of media I wish I could recommend more often, but will not due to how absolutely awful the content is. You NEED to look at the unconsenting media page before you touch this thing with a 100ft pole. It portrays some of the most abhorrent human behaviors, lays bare victims, showcasing their trauma for mere spectacle to keep an audience entertained. It repeatedly victimizes every single female member of the cast, either at an attempt at ""comedy,"" or to villain shorthand the villains while raising up the victims as sad characters you should heap sympathy upon, just so the protags can look like saints when they swoop in & help out. This is a constant re-iteration through an endless series of showcasing really heavy topics, with little to no care in how these topics are portrayed -- something that discusses a heavy subject but will never "handle it well." It's also kind of cathartic, for reasons I would need more paragraphs to explain. I watched it out of spite, & it instantly popped up to my favorite anime, & one of my favorite pieces of media, perhaps, before I got to the graveyard scene & went, "What the fuck?" & Had to stop watching, for a few weeks, only to come back & immediately adore it some more. It's so bad.)
Bendy & the Ink Machine (If you ever have interest in this series, your best way to experience it is by getting the sparx notes on the first game, then playing Bendy & the Dark Revival instead, which rehashes & references the first in a way I find derivative, but it ultimately a much better game to play. I think the first game is more interesting to talk about than it ever was to play, beyond maybe the first chapter -- but only if you treat it as a proof of concept, rather than the first of 5 entries in a single game. I cannot stress how shite it is to release your game in hacked up chunks that all need to be purchased, as basically paid dlc, & I also need to say that going back & making those previous versions unobtainable by mashing it all into one game that can instead be bought all at once does not erase what you were doing for years before that moment. I also need to say the devs are fucking awful for what they put their employees through -- that shit is dire. Also, the chapters are not at all cohesive, & do not "blend." At the end of one, you are teleported to the other, & the connective tissue is weak. The only 2 chapters that feel like they were planned together are 4 & 5, two chapters i speculate were likely originally intended to be 3 chapters, but were squashed into 2 when the devs inserted a new chapter for a character they previously had zero plans for after fans became incredibly interested in her. The series relies upon you reading alternative media like the novels & sequel to justify the first game & its ending. It's bad. It's so bad, & it makes me so angry that I have debated on getting into video essays exclusively to lay bare all the ways I despise this. It is my favorite game.)

Chapter 5.5 – Crossed Wands: Round 1
“So how many are there?”
Beatrice looked up from reading Lachlan the Lanky's page just in time to see something briefly glint beyond the walled map she and Sebastian just passed before she answered the boy's question, “Oh— I think maybe... around at least a hundred?” She answered most casually, still planning when to study her Field Guide more, and maybe enhance her Revelio casting abilities if objects other than Field Pages were starting to shimmer before her—
“A hundred???” How does Weasley even expect you to find all that within the school year??” Sebastian sputtered.
“I'd imagine most of them are here in Hogwarts, I did say it's already quite an adventure to be here.” She just had to think of it as a big game wherein she had to “collect” stuff along the way, the Floo Flames were coming along easily enough, and she was pleased to have activated yet another one in her map as they entered the Clock Tower.
“And so here we are, I'll introduce you to Lucan Brattleby and see if he's got any rounds open. We'll find out if your performance today was sheer luck— or actual skill.” Sebastian grinned at her as they approached a younger Gryffindor student.
“Well, if it isn't the undefeatable school champion, Sebastian Sallow!” The boy greeted enthusiastically upon seeing the Slytherin.
Sebastian met the boy's enthusiasm as they shook hands in greeting, laughing heartily, “Surprised you haven't heard the rumors yet Lucan, I’ve been usurped, embarrassingly so…” He made a show to wipe away crocodile tears.
“Can't really expect me to believe that unless—” Lucan stopped in his sentence as he just took notice of the girl beside Sebastian.
Beatrice only observed in amusement as Lucan leaned in towards the older boy as he whispered, though she couldn’t help but hear it either way, “Is that her? From the rumors?? The new fifth-year???”
Chuckling as he leaned away from Lucan, Sebastian nodded in her direction as he replied, “The very one. Fresh from her first day at Professor Hecat’s class, if you get what I mean…?” He and Lucan shared a look with the younger initially staring owlishly before the realization of what Sebastian said seemed to have sunk in, “Oh! Then if Sebastian vouches for you, that's all I need to know.”
The boy now looked at her and introduced himself, “I'm Lucan and I coordinate duels here for Crossed Wands, which is our duelling club of sorts. It's usually by invitation only, so you must have really impressed Sebastian.”
“Hello Lucan, I'm Beatrice and while I'm flattered to hear that, Sebastian's not a bad duellist either.” She glanced at said boy only to see him smiling comfortably back at her with his arms crossed.
“I'd imagine it's quite something to see the two of you duel.” Young Lucan had an almost knowing grin as he glanced between the two fifth-years.
“How does Crossed Wands work, exactly?” Beatrice asked, curious if the secret club was had anything like the Quidditch seasons she'd read.
“The official tournament of champions will start next month, it's our way of determining the school's greatest duellists, the winner is even awarded a prize to liven things up. In the meantime, I'm still getting our members' time schedules, so for the next two weeks we'll have daily Initiate rounds for the newbies at certain times.” Lucan paused enough to point out the schedule he momentarily hang by the gate, “Though now that you've showed up, I can match you with the other duellists here, if you're interested?”
“Of course. Duelling's an entertaining pastime.” Beatrice perked up at the mention of a prize, briefly remembering what Andrew had whispered to her back in class... “Congrats in earning your first lot of pocket money, it'll definitely help with future trips to Hogsmeade.” And if the glint she saw earlier was anything to go by, then Beatrice didn't have to feel burdened by Professor Fig covering for her personal expenses.
“I agree.” Lucan’s reply almost made Beatrice think he had read her mind, her focus was now on him as the boy continued, “Besides, in Crossed Wands you can duel with a partner if you like. Your first time I'll pair you with Sebastian. Next time, you'll need to bring a partner along or duel alone. So care to step into the ring?”
She and Sebastian shared a look, smiling back at the younger boy with a nod, “Get us in the ring.”
“Spectacular. Let the fireworks begin!”
They were soon paired off against a younger Gryffindor, Lawrence Davies, and a Housemate of hers named Astoria Crickett-- who Beatrice was sure she'd heard the name being mentioned before— “We'll make you regret signing up.” At the other Ravenclaw's scathing words, Beatrice now had an epiphany as to why Astoria did not seem to be the type to want Everett in her Quidditch team. She did sound intimidating...
“Mind if I let you handle this for a bit?” Sebastian broke through her thoughts as he held up his wand with a smirk.
“And be able to practice my actual skill in duelling? Why not?” She gave him a smile of her own, palming the handle of her wand, it definitely weighed lighter than a sword which made the past spells she'd cast under Professor Fig's tutelage easier to project, no matter how complicated her mentor said it initially would. But ever since she'd “activated” that glow from the Portkey's container, there was this steady built of power she was suddenly feeling inside herself, something she needed to cast out through duelling lest she feel like she might implode, but her second-hand wand was only now starting to feel like a cork—
“Glacius!”
Beatrice managed to pull up a Protego despite her shock at being casted a spell she had yet to use for herself, she casted Stupefy back in retaliation, enough to give her a split-second to note that both her opponents were susceptible to any control spell based on the yellowish glow from their shield charms.
“Levioso!”
“Confringo!”
Beatrice looked back in surprise at Sebastian's obvious damage spell that followed the one she'd just casted, to which the boy only shrugged in turn before his eyes widened as he pointed his wand at her, “Accio!”
Oomph! Beatrice felt Sebastian's one arm wrap around her protectively just as the flames from an Incendio nearly blasted her way. Maybe she'd bitten off more than she could chew, she only had two spells bouncing in her arsenal right now and none of them even included these nasty fire starters, for Godsake!
“Eyes on the prize, luv.” He whispered in her ear before he pulled back to give her a smug look, though this just made her smile sweetly in return, quite pleased with something she'd learned from him just now, “Guess you were right about Accio being used on humans.” She patted him on the chest as she quickly went to finish the round with a new strategy in mind, unbeknowst to her that she had left the poor boy with a slowly reddening face, which was definitely not the after-effects from the Confringo he'd just casted.
A combination of Levioso, Basic Cast and Accio later, Beatrice was more than pleased to hear of their victory, “Nice work! Sebastian wasn't wrong about you.” Lucan had said after the match ended. Speaking of, Sebastian had grown suddenly silent...
“There's strong competition ahead, but keep this up and you could be the next school champion.”
“Brilliant. Count me in on next month's tournament.” She was definitely curious of that prize.
“I shall, it takes time to organise these duels, so do come check with me tomorrow round the same time. I may have something lined up for you. Again, congratulations on your first Crossed Wands victory. Well-fought. Hope to see you back here again.”
It was when Lucan walked away to speak to the other club members that were there that Beatrice spotted Sebastian who had Davies in a headlock, “Just wait till I've grown a bit— then we'll see how well you do.” The younger student grunted almost petulantly.
“Oh yeah? Make sure I haven't grown white hairs then lest they put you in Azkaban for picking on the old!” Sebastian retorted back playfully as he head-knuckled the boy.
Beatrice smiled at the easy camaraderie Sebastian seemed to have among their schoolmates, she felt ashamed that maybe she had easily jumped to conclusions when she'd closed her mind off to the Sorting Hat and remained adamant with her House of choice, partly due to a sense of prejudice. Though Beatrice still wondered about the advise she received regarding Sebastian's friend, Ominis Gaunt, it's as if there's an insinuation that she'll get herself in trouble if she was to befriend even half of the Slytherin pair...
“I feel sorry for your next opponent.”
“Astoria! I don't think we've properly met, I've only heard from Everett about you in passing.” Beatrice offered a hand in greeting to the girl who suddenly spoke beside her.
“Tell that oversized runt there's no chance he'll be making the team as long as he hasn't been cleared by Kogawa, and that's even if Black brings back Quidditch next year!” Astoria huffed, though she met Beatrice's outstretched hand with a firm grip of her own, narrowing her eyes with a sly smile, “And you're Beatrice I've heard, despite being the new fifth-year, you seem to be making friends with a troublesome lot.” Astoria then nodded towards Sebastian's direction.
“I think I can get away with a little trouble here and there, thanks.” Beatrice furrowed her brows, loosening her hold on Astoria's hand but the other girl held on for just a bit longer, “Don't let the young Gaunt hear about it then.” She had said with a taunting smile, before letting go of Beatrice then walking away.
“Well, I’ve places to be. See yah around fledgling~”
Now that would be the third time she was warned of Ominis Gaunt. Truly there must be a charm in threes... and speaking of places to be— Beatrice gasped.

When Steven Moffat took over as show-runner on Doctor Who I found a remarkable drop in quality -- he's written some great episodes before, but he didn't know how to handle entire arcs to save his life. The result is that his episodes feature soooo much self-masturbatory grandiosity, with dramatic speeches about The Doctor every few minutes, and a constant barrage of new twists and plotlines being introduced -- only to be left unresolved or wrapped up in a feeble, paltry way. It's a direction that simply doesn't fit why Doctor Who was appealing to me under RTD.
I also thought Matt Smith was vastly inferior as The Doctor, perhaps because he leaned a bit too much in on the British Pretty Boy shtick that people were eating up, or perhaps that's my own bias as a true blue Tumblrite. Either way, I didn't care for his performance, which struck me as cloying and overly-affected. He strikes me as terribly dated in a way the previous two Doctors were not. The way he talks just screams "written for online fandom members in the early '10s."
I didn't much care for the companions this time around either. Rory and Amy were fine, and I actually think the two of them had their characters go in some interesting directions, but -- and this might be my own apathy showing -- I really don't understand what they were going for with Clara. Similarly to The Doctor's, so much of her arc was mired by of Moffat's incessant compulsion to Escalate. There's also the fact that he doesn't know how to write women. Have you noticed that like, every single female character he writes acts and talks the same? Of course you did: it's an omnipresent observation of his work, many people have pointed it out before me. But it's very true, and especially a factor when your character's whole thing is The Most Special Woman Ever.
Anyways, all of this made me fall off of Doctor Who (or perhaps it was the show which, as they say, "fell off") -- and so did growing up, I guess. I basically stopped watching a couple seasons into Moffat's run, and when I recently tried to rewatch the series I just still find his style unbearable. Peter Capaldi is an exponentially better Doctor, both in acting and, to an extent, in writing, but Moffat's grubby fingerprints were still all over the place. There was some shit with a version of the master called Missy, right? I tried to give those episodes a shot but it all felt very Amanda Palmer Steampunk Remix iPod Touch Second Generation ThinkGeek, for lack of a more concise phrase.
Eventually Moffat was booted, and a new guy came in; the thing is, I really wanted to like the first season with Jodie Whittaker, I really thought Moffat leaving meant that there was a chance I might like the show again. But uh, it's not good. Arguably even worse. Whittaker herself does a fine job, but the show saw some of the worst decisions it's ever made. Much has been written about Chibnall's run, very little of it kind, so I'll leave it with the fact I was very disappointed.
Then they brought back RTD and cast Ncuti Gatwa as The Doctor and, wait, it's actually good again, now? Kind of? Gatwa's take on The Doctor is refreshing: it feels like he's going for something akin to Tennant's portrayal, where his character is torn between nearly-manic jubilation and sharing the world with his companions on one hand, and deep guilt and loneliness on the other. I really like his flamboyant portrayal, his liking for fashion and music, I like the dynamics he has with his companions. I just really like him. (And he's a very pretty man -- marry me, Mr. Gatwa).
I only have watched the first three episodes of the latest season (the only ones which have come out yet) and have started on his first. Considering his run ostensibly marks the beginning of a "soft reboot" I feel inclined to try and use this is a point to hop back on. Obviously not all of them are good: "Space Babies" is a hilariously shitty episode to have be the first one of your first season (barring the specials, which served as a more proper introduction, to be fair). But I'm not going in expecting the quality to be anything but slipshod: guess what? RTD's run always had more than a couple stinkers per season -- or uh, series, as the British call it. So I'm not too discouraged.

Tales Of Dracarrio: Act 2: Session 3 Recap
A wooden mask is removed and a friendly face is revealed. After discovering that Ansbach is also a fellow Human from Earth Realm, Kyle had plenty of questions. Why was he here? Where do his powers come from? And where are his pizza rolls? Ansbach reassured him all his questions will be answered in due time, giving Kyle the location of his group's base of operations. He told the group they needed to meet him there as soon as they could. With Kyle’s arrival, so did a great power that’s upsetting the balance of the world, and they were told that more details would be revealed if they meet him there. Just before he took his leave, they found out that Ansbach carried a scroll of teleport. And after a few minutes of planning, they convinced Ansbach to tag along with them for their journey across the lands of Dracarrio.
The next morning, they were given orders from their samurai friend Iji. Orders to meet with the Empress of Cittadina and deliver a scroll to her as representatives of the Lolita Dynasty. They’d be given passage to the ports of Beaufort, but making it to the Cittadina Capital was on them, and they needed to have this completed and return with the information within 3 months to claim their reward.
During this time. The party spent 7 more days in Lolita before casting off to wait for their weapons and armor to finish being crafted. And while they waited, they met a strange talking crow. It begged for help, a wizard deep in the jungle had turned her into a crow days ago and she didn't know how to turn back. Kyle, being scared of the talking crow, swung at it repeatedly. And so did the others until one of them landed a blow, turning the crow back into a woman. She was so grateful for the help, but with how weird they all were with Julio asking her to join their party, Eiji saying weird things in her mind, and Kyle being Kyle, she ran away when they began to argue with each other.
On the 7th day, now fully geared up and with a plan set, and a new party member, they made their way across the Ruby Bay that took them 5 days to cross. Calm open seas gave the party a chance to relax and make some friends with the crew and captain, finally making landfall in the ports of Beaufort.
It is here where they are introduced to the country of Aiken. A very different landscape than what they were introduced to. A cooler climate and stone walls stretch around the land. Ships and various crews from across the world either prepare for cast off or check their shipments as the party make their first steps into a new land. After asking for directions, they made their way to the market district. Towering buildings stretch into the sky, almost piercing the clouds as the streets below begin to form a sea of people. All manner of races wander the city streets and in the center a large ornate stone fountain. Kyle knew what he had to do, and climbed atop this handcrafted piece of art, spraying water all over the place as he does, using the fountain as a soapbox to shout out to the busy crowd of people. A loud bang could be heard through the streets, and before Kyle could finish a sentence, he was netted, and restrained to the ground. Dozens of guards surround the party as they put Kyle into custody. They found out that Kyle had disrespected a holy landmark. But luckily The party was able to convince the guards to let him go.
Julio told Eiji to keep an eye on Kyle while he took Ansbach to search for a caravan. Maybe he could convince them to hire his crew as protection so they could make it to the Capital City on schedule and protected. And that he did. Julio met with a Caravan captain by the name of Mortarian. Striking a deal, they set off later that night, and began their adventure into the countryside of Aiken.
On their 3 day journey to their next stop they ran into all sorts of dangers and distractions. On day one, they stumbled upon a dead troll in the middle of the road. While the rest of the crew worked together to clear the path, the party went off ahead to see if any ambushes were waiting for them deeper into the woods. There they found a large battlefield of dead trolls and red capped gnomes. All appear to be dead except a few, who ambushed the party, ultimately failing in their approach, even though it was annoying for most of them. On day two they passed a nobleman making his way to Beaufort, the party mocked him and avoided any conflict. On day three the caravan stops and the party can hear a loud booming voice scream to Eiji in the front of the caravan. It was a larger than life Orc warrior. As Eiji made his way to the front, the mark that was branded into his hand from the old magic shop keep Camilla began to glow a bright green hue. As Eiji and the Orc stood but feet apart, both of them had matching magic marks of their own. No words were shared between the two. This was a duel. In their minds they knew what had to be done and no one may intervene. For he must prove himself a strong and wise warrior to claim the black blade. And after 12 seconds of violent clashing of steel and flesh, the Orc falls and Eiji is victorious. Just as his crew members began to cheer for his victory, Eiji drops on all his limbs like a bug and begins to eat the Orcs corpse and doesn’t stop till his clothes remain. Shocked and horrified and now with the path clear, the party as well as the caravan made their way into their first destination. A small town by the name of Kelton.
What more does this world have to offer our heros? What will they discover in Kelton? And will they be able to make it to the Capital City in one piece? The road is long and dangerous, as we’ll soon find out…

The Guardians: Part 6 - Appearances
I can only reiterate what I said in a previous post and have read in online reviews of this show, that it seems to change tack somewhat from now on. The earlier episodes were perhaps a little worthy and stodgy, containing lost of serious stuff about political subjects and philosophical discussions, but it now includes more human interest.
In this one much of the human interest is in the fact that Mrs Weston's husband is reintroduced to the show, having been missing presumed dead for most of it up to now. It turns out that he is being held in a 'hospital' for special - I'm not sure what the word is - let's say programming, to stop him being a naughty little Communist. In other words torture him to the point where he loses all independence of thought. When I say torture, what I really mean is being held in a room with no windows, forced to watch Coronation Street (I'm not even joking) and experiencing mind games played by the world's most annoying psychiatrist.
Helpfully, the doctor pops round to see Mrs Weston, just casually to tell her that her husband is still alive and incidentally we all know you've been shagging the Prime Minister's son and how are you going to deal with this nice little quandary. Therefore quite a lot of this episode is about that, and her chatting with the PM's son about the meaning of life. She also has a whole session with her psychiatrist about what's going on and whether it's possible to love two people at once.
Of course you knew that Dr Benedict wasn't going to go quiet, having casually murdered someone with his bare hands at the end of the last episode and so some of the human interest is that his wife has, naturally enough, left him and taken the children because she doesn't want to be married to a murderer. She's just vanished and the Guardians haven't come knocking on the door, which frankly doesn't seem that plausible.
The main political interest is that Benedict and a lady who is another member of the resistance group Quarmby, make an explicit plan to make their resistance actions more dramatic, which they do by planning and carrying out a bombing on Guardians headquarters. I'm quite prepared to admit that I'm getting very confused by this show's ability to introduce new characters and give existing ones different roles without explanation, but as far as I can tell all the members of Quarmby in this episode die, either shot by the Guardians, each other, or by suicide capsule. This may of course just be the impression I'm intended to get because it leaves me puzzled as to what is going to happen next, unless some of them survive or the show introduces a whole new raft of Quarmby members, which would be quite something. We do, however, see that Dr Benedict is not dead, right at the end of the episode. Goodness, this show is confusing.
The bombing takes little time just after the middle of the episode and the rest of the time is depicted in quite a lot of talk in the 'hospital' where Weston is being held and between Mrs Weston and the PM's son. Quarmcy then approaches another of the cast right at the end of the episode, which frankly comes as no surprise because all their other members are dead and they'd have had to pick someone familiar to us in the cast.
I think I have identified this show's difficulty which is making it so difficult: it started off by trying to be a political thriller, but it's not possible to fill thirteen hour-long episodes with political discussion and terrorists events without the state actually being overthrown in the third episode, so it's forced to use what feels like a lot of padding. Even given the slower pace of the TV of the time it feels plodding at times and over-talky. I think it would be been better with fewer episodes or even half-hour instead of whole hour episodes.
My main criticism of this episode specifically is that so much time is given to chat about relationships and yet there is absolutely no discussion of the ethics or legality of keeping an adult human prisoner in a hospital and subjecting him to psychological programming or deprogramming, in the name of drilling the 'Communism' out of him. I have noted before that this show tends to do this and just depict some things while endlessly discussing others. It's really strange, especially as it could quite easily have been worked into the episode by having the PM discuss it or having a questioning Guardian wonder what was going on.
What I like best about this episode is that the Guardians headquarter is very oviously a 1960s-vintage office building, dressed to be the Guardians' headquarters by barriers and some sand bags in front of it. When Quarmby throw the bomb at it the explosion very obviously happens behind the sand bags without injuring the building and an already-alight Guardian staggers into view from the other direction. I am not criticising this, but praising the amateur theatricals standards of 1970s TV.

Alaara cooly observed Soluna's response, noting a tinge of sourness to the elf's tone. She knew it all too well; dragonborn were a proud race, and some clans could be cruel in how they introduced or expulsed members. Thankfully, her clan was not so stuffy.
"I am sorry to hear that some of your people cast aside others at a whim. A pity, I think; new perspectives and ideas keep a culture thriving and growing, while tradition keeps it well-oiled. The two must work in tandem." She waved a dismissive hand. "But my adventures! You wish to know about some of them!"
"I have seen much of Faerûn, though to you I am hardly older than a sprig of springtime grass. I have traveled since just after hatching with my parents, and soon after, my sister. We have enjoyed many places... but one of my favorites was Athkatla. I was quite young when we went, so I'm certain my memories of it are rose-colored, but it was just as it's described in books. The buildings are gilded gold, and they sparkle in the sunlight."
Alaara snorted.
"Listen to me. I sound just like a dragon lusting after treasure! Ah, but the real treasure wasn't the glittering city, it was to be had in a quaint merchant's shop off the beaten pathway. Mother's violin had a string snap and she needed a new one. We stopped into an instrument shop only to be redirected right back out; they had no strings. But as if called to it, we went into the shop next door to that one. The shopkeep inside was as whimsical and magical as his wares; I remember he made a show of giving Mother a string from out of his sleeve after having dug around for what seemed like ages in his eclectic mess for one, and then he made appear a tiny rabbit doll for me for being good. I don't think mother or father had to pay for it either."
Alaara's eyes went soft as she remembered the day. She still had that little rabbit doll, tucked safely on top of her dresser in her bedroom. It had gone through many outfits and had acquired pretty fabric scrap patches to fix holes too big for new stitches to fix, but it was very much still a beloved family member.
Alaara wondered if the man was still living. Perhaps he was; she couldn't remember if he'd been human, half-elven or fully elven. He also could have been relatively young when she'd seen him; her perception of adults had been back then, as all children's perspectives were at a young age, quite skewed.
"As for what I'd do differently..." Her expression hardened again, and became a frown. Would she change what had happened in Suzail? It had been a formative experience, and changing it would change her entire life. "Nothing. I would change nothing, even though there are things in my past that I regret having happened. Like the time my performance led to a fight breaking out, a tavern burning, and a few people dying... But I learned many, many years later I was merely the scapegoat for majority of that incident."
She averted her gaze to the countertop.
"I regret having had to fight a man or two to the death, but... they were likely part of the same gang that initiated the squabble and who burned the tavern down. Lightning breath is quite dangerous in enclosed spaces, but the fire it can create against fabric and wood can't make a massive building go up in mere minutes."
"A clan," Soluna mused. "I can't say the people back home share that idea. We take our family names very seriously, sure. But it's not unheard of for some elves to be ostracized from their family for doing something that's deemed 'ridiculous'."
She tried to hide the bitterness in her words, knowing first hand how serious such a situation was. A fair amount of family lines died out due to such an action. Another was on the verge.
"I bet you've seen some amazing things," She grinned, changing the subject. "What was your favorite place you've been to so far? Anything you'd do differently if you went again?"

Jensen watched in anguish as you walked by him, a light "Hello." leaving your lips, but that was it. Again.
For the past two weeks, its been getting worse. Your usual "Good morning Jensen!" was replaced with "Good morning." to "Morning." and finally to "Hello." He didn't understand what he did or why this was happening.
It wasn't just the morning greetings either, you were pulling away fully. You stopped popping into his trailer at random times of the day. You stopped eating in the tent with all the others. You stopped inviting them out for drinks, you stopped communicating with Jensen and it tore him apart.
He's only known you a matter of five months now but he couldn't stop thinking about you. The day he met you was stuck on repeat in his mind.
"Everybody, I'd like to welcome the new cast member of supernatural, Y/N L/N. She will be playing Morgan and she will be here for a while so get to know her now."
You stood shyly behind the director, lifting your small hand to wave hi, and as soon as your eyes met his, you froze, a bright and nervous smile appearing on both of your faces.
Everybody introduced themselves before heading to the tent, leaving you and Jensen standing alone, awkwardly, in the room. His eyes never left yours. Yours never left his.
Finally after what felt like forever, you walked up to him. He smiled and stepped closer, holding out his hand. He was about to introduce himself before you held up your hand, a smug look on your face.
"Don't need to introduce yourself, I know exactly who you are."
He smirked and nodded, crossing his arms to let you continue.
You leaned closer as if you were telling a secret and placed your hand on his shoulder. "Your name is Dean Winchester, your an Aquarius and you enjoy sunsets, long walks on the beach and frisky women."
He froze, pulling back to stare at the comically huge smile on your face before you burst into laughter. He quickly joined, shaking his head at you. He knew right than and there, he liked you.
Since that day, his thoughts revolved around you. He couldn't help it. He thought you were the most beautiful girl he has ever laid eyes on, your humor matched his, you went out of your way to show respect and kindness to everybody around you and you two were inseparable.
He had it hard for you, but he missed his chance.
--Two months ago--
The daisy in his hand flopped over, but he didn't mind. He knew you would love it either way. You never really wore anything with flowers, but when you did-daisies. He found out that you loved them. You loved how simple yet beautiful they were. Like they didn't need to try, they were just naturally gorgeous. Just like you.
He walked across the set, catching your eye. You smiled and rushed forward, eyeing the daisy in his hand. "Is that for me?"
He smiled and nodded, leaning closer to place the flower in your hair. You touched it gently and stepped closer to give him a hug. It was the last one you've given him since that day.
"Hey Y/N, I was wondering if you wanted to go get a drink, maybe we could talk."
You frowned and let him go, "Damn, I have a date tonight or I totally would."
He froze, embarrassment and nervousness flooding him, of course you had a date, look at you. He couldn't be jealous or angry, he had three damn months to make a move but he never did. Until today, and it was too late.
You stepped closer, concern in your eyes. "I can cancel Jensen, it's totally fine."
He shook his head and plastered on the best fake smile he could. "Nono don't be silly. You go. I'll see you tomorrow."
Your eyebrows lifted in uncertainty, staring at him for a moment longer to try and read his mood. Something was off, you knew that. "Are you sure?"
He smiled and nodded, wrapping his arm around your shoulder to walk you to your car. "Yeah, more than sure. Good luck on your date, let me know how it goes."
You finally smiled and nodded, sitting in your car before rolling down the window. "Thanks Jensen, I'll see you tomorrow."
A week after that, he was finally introduced to your new boyfriend. Kyle. Ugh. Even the name made him angry.
He didn't know why, but he didn't like that guy. There was something about him that made him uneasy. Maybe it was the fact that every time he came by, he noticed your smile lessen and your shoulders lower. Or maybe its because when he met him for the first time, all he did was look Jensen up and down before smiling smugly.
Like he knew jensen had a crush on you, and he was showing off that he’s the one who landed you. He didn't like him. At all.
--Present Day--
And now, here we are.
Jensen kept up his efforts to be your friend, trying to control the thoughts about you, trying to remind himself that you and him are friends and that was all. It hurt a lot more than he wanted to admit, seeing you with him made something bubble underneath his skin. But he loved you enough to hold back and be there as much as he could.
It seemed like you didn't want him there anymore though, and it killed him. But he knew it wasn't just him. Everybody has noticed the change. You used to come in with a huge smile on your face, even in the early hours like 5:00 am shoots, nobody knew how you did it. You were always the one to bring the energy and positive vibes, lately you were like a ghost of a person. Quiet, shy, reserved.
Sad. You seemed sad.
He wanted to ask you, he was going to ask you but he was worried that you might tell him it's none of his business. He figured you would have told him eventually, but you never did and it got worse.
A long day of shooting was finally over with. He noticed the way you acted on stage compared to off camera, you were a really talented actor. In the happy scenes, you seemed genually happy. As soon as the director called cut, the smile disapeered.
He had enough, he knew something was wrong and he needed you to know he was here for you. Tonight, he would figure it out.
You walked back to your trailer to call it a night, jumping nearly out of your skin when Jensen's hand rested on your shoulder. He held his hands up in defense and chuckled, "Sorry! Just me."
You laughed lightly and turned to face him, a plastered smile appearing. "What's up."
"What's your plans for tonight?"
You frowned and checked the time. It was later than you thought. Kyle was going to hate that. He hated when you came home late, waking him up, messing up his sleep.
You frowned and lifted your head, "Not sure, probably just go home."
He shook his head and grabbed your hand, "Nah, want to go watch a movie together?"
You stood in your spot, eyes falling to the floor. Yes, you knew you were pushing Jensen away and you really did not want to. But things with Kyle were... complicated.
It started out amazing, one date turned into multiple, soon you two were exclusivly seeing eachother, and than he basically moved into your apartment with you. It was good.
Until you noticed little things change. His attitude getting rougher. His tone unimpressed. His distance. He barely touched you unless he wanted sex. You brushed it off, thinking it was just a rough patch.
Except it got worse without you realizing. His words became aggressive. His comments pushing you further and further down.
When you'd come home late after shooting, or being at the bar, he would yell. Scream. Sometimes if he was angry enough and could smell alcohol on your breathe, he would throw things.
He has never laid a hand on you, but the pain of hearing the man you have feelings for tell you that you are a shit actress and will never go anywhere, telling you that you are the ugliest celebrity he has ever met, wishing he never met you, convincing you that if you left, you'd be alone, that shit hurt more than anything. You would have rathered him used his fists, instead of breaking your spirit.
A hand waving in your face brought you back to reality, jumping slightly. "Earth to Y/N, where'd you go honey?"
"Oh, sorry. Um... I don't know Jensen it's pretty late."
He frowned and nodded before turning to leave, but you couldn't do it. You hated seeing him sad and either way, your going to get yelled at for staying out. You can't avoid that.
"Wait!" You yelled, watching him turn and walk back towards you. "Let's do it."
He sighed and shook his head, "You don't need to say yes just bec-"
"I want to." You interrupted, a genuine smile on your face. Jensen smiled back and waved towards your trailer, letting you lead the way.
You led Jensen to your trailer, opening the door to allow him to step inside. His eyes were following you again. Noticing that you seemed a little better, a little pep in your step and he knew it was because you two haven’t spent alone time together in… god knows how long.
As much as he tried to remind himself that you two were just friends and nothing more, he couldn't help but stare at you with the same admiration he has had since day one.
He cleared his throat before sitting on the couch, waiting patiently as you pulled out your phone, typed something and than set it down. You grabbed two bottles of beer from the fridge and brought it over. He accepted with a grateful smile, and you two fell right back into the friendship you used to have.
Laughter filling the trailer as you two argued over what movies were better, down to what scenes you thought were a little too extra, and than making fun of Jared, again. All in light fun of course.
You two totally forgot that you were even supposed to watch a movie together, you forgot what time it was, until a pounding at your trailer door scared the life out of you.
Standing from your spot, you glanced towards Jensen who was staring back in confusion. You opened the door and every part of you stilled when your eyes locked on Kyle. He looked pissed, tired and frustrated. If looks could kill, you would have definatly been 6ft under by now.
"K-Kyle! Hey babe. What are you doing here?" You attempted to keep the shake out of your voice.
His eyes glanced behind you and caught Jensen's gaze. He plastered a fake smile and stepped up the trailer's stairs. "Hey man. How are you doing?" He questioned.
Jensen's eyes glanced from your boyfriend to you, immedinatly taking in the way your hands slightly trembled and the glazed look in your eyes. You were scared, and he didn't know of what, yet.
He stood from his spot, holding his beer tightly in his fist. "Good good, we were just having a little movie night.”
Kyle didn’t move. He didn’t speak. He just glared at Jensen. Jensen did the same. Kept his gaze firm. You could cut the damn tension with a knife.
Finally, Kyle made the first move, his hand moving to yours, a smirk playing at his lips. He looked friendly, unharming but his eyes told you everything. You were in trouble. “Can I speak to you outside for a min baby?”
You turned towards Jensen and smiled awkwardly, “Give me a miniute?”
Jensen nodded and stayed standing, watching you leave, watching Kyle shut the door a little too hard for his comfortability. He wanted to do the respectful thing and give your space, but he was worried. There was something unsettling about the way Kyle was acting and he knew you were not okay.
He moved to the door, listening the best he could but most of it was jumbled, only some words coming in and out.
“…..3:00 am! …. Kidding me? ….Stupid!”
His jaw clenched as he listened to Kyle’s voice get louder and more angry. He hated that he was yelling at you. He hated that just because you were out with a friend, he felt the right to come here and pull you out, ruining your night. And finally he knew what was wrong.
This wasn’t the first time Kyle had acted like this. He could hear you apologizing and he cringed. You should never have to apologize, he thought.
The sounds of light crying shattered his heart and he fought against every fibre in his body not to walk out there and deck the guy. He knew he couldn’t let his feelings get in the way of yours. But things got drastic fast and he knew he needed to do something.
Kyle, very loudly screamed at you. “You think you can get anybody else but me? You should be fucking lucky I chose you, you ugly fucking bitch.”
Jensens eyes widened and he rushed towards the door, a loud smack echoing right outside the door before he opened it.
The trailer door slammed open and you nearly jumped out of your skin, your eyes quickly focusing on Jensen. He looked more angry than Kyle, and it scared you a bit.
Jensens gaze shifted to you, anger filling him when he noticed how you were pressed against the trailer, tears staining your cheeks and filled in your eyes, your face was red but only one side. He knew what that sound was.
He stepped down the stairs towards Kyle, instantly face to face with the guy. “Did you just fucking hit her?” He spit out angrily.
“Yo why don’t you go inside and let us finish our conversation.” Kyle spit, smirking at Jensen.
It took everything inside him not to punch him out right here, but he knew that wouldn’t help anything. Jensen turned towards you, his feautures softening a little. “You alright?” You nodded and bit your lip to push back the sob threatening to escape.
Jensen turned back towards Kyle and crossed his arms, standing in place. Refusing to back down. “I think you should go man.”
Kyle laughed loudly and shook his head, “Okay. C’mon Y/N.”
Before Jensen could speak, Kyle was already in front of you, aggressively pulling your arm towards him to the point where you nearly fell right on your face.
Jensen rushed forward and stepped an inch from Kyles face, eyes shooting daggers at him. “Let. Her. Go.” He spoke through gritted teeth.
Kyle pulled your arm harder causing you to whimper in pain, he pulled you to his chest and held you there. “You don’t tell me what to do. She’s my girl, not yours. Y/N let’s go.”
You stared at Jensen in desperation and fear, Kyle had never put hands on you before but now that he has, you could finally see how much danger you really were in.
When his eyes met yours, he knew that he needed to protect you at all costs. He knew that stepping in wasn’t a choice anymore, it was his responsibility. You were practically begging him to.
Jensen rushed forward and pushed Kyle, hard, on the ground. Successfully breaking your arm free from his grip. You grabbed your arm and rushed behind Jensen, his hand instantly wrapping around to hold you behind him.
Kyle jumped up and got in Jensens face, anger seeping through so visibly that it scared the hell out of you. “Back the fuck off man, Y/N last warning let’s go now.”
“She’s not going anywhere with you.”
Kyle stared at you hiding behind Jensen and laughed, “You seriously want to do this? End our relationship? Your a piece of fucking garbage nobody’s ever going to love you.”
You frowned and rested your head against Jensens back, feeling his hand press you closer like he was trying to reassure you that it would be okay.
Jensen shook his head and an angry smile appeared on his face, “Dude, you better leave now.”
Kyle smirked and stepped closer, “Or what? You gonna hit me? Do it.”
Jensen felt you tremble and he bit his lip, moving his hand to rub your back gently. “Leave.”
Kyle chuckled angrily and shook his head, “You think I don’t see what’s happening? Your only protecting her because you want to get into her pants. But trust me, she gives it way too easily and she’s not even good.”
That was it. The moment that Jensen couldn’t fight it anymore. He pushed you gently back and stepped forward, clocking Kyle square in the jaw.
Kyle flew to the ground, back hitting the cement with a sickening thud. His mouth was bloody and he looked pissed enough to kill and it scared the shit out of you. He stood from his spot and made eye contact with you pressed against the trailer. He walked closer and pointed straight in your face.
“You are a fucking cunt Y/N, thank god this is over and I don’t have to pretend I loved you anymore. Your nothing.”
You flinched at the words and shoved your head to the ground. Kyle spit on the cement before he glared at Jensen, and making his leave.
As soon as Jensen saw him leave the area, he sighed in relief. He turned to face you, his eyes widening and lowering when he saw you huddled on the ground, head on your knees.
You were shaking and your breathing was shallow. You were crying. Breaking down.
His heart broke at the sight, fighting off his own tears as he rushed forward, hand on your back and arm. “Hey he’s gone it’s okay.”
You shook your head and sob after sob came rushing out, bursting through you like a tsunami. Jensen panicked and picked you up, rushing inside the trailer and placed you on the couch.
His hands never left your back, his mouth leaned close to your ear to coach you through this. He knew you needed time and he would spend every miniute here comforting you if he had to.
Your sobs started slowing and your breathing was returning to normal, causing Jensen to release a deep breath he didn’t know he was holding. “You okay honey? Look at me.”
You shook your head and turned away, “I don’t want you to see me like this.”
He smiled sadly as his finger came to your chin, turning you towards him. His eyes glanced at the bright red mark on your face causing him to cringe. He wished Kyle would come back just so he could hit him one more damn time.
“I don’t see anything wrong with who you are honey. Your upset, I understand. I’m not going to let you do this alone.”
You laughed sadly and shook your head free from his grip. “You don’t have to do that.”
“Do what?” He stared back in confusion.
“Pretend you care.”
He froze and he felt like you stabbed him in the heart, why would you ever think he didn’t care about you?
You saw the hesitation to speak and you felt bad, but your mind was convincing you that it was true. The damage Kyle did on your brain was immense, but you couldn’t fix it.
“Jensen… Kyle wasn’t being untruthful. Not all the time. I am not a good actress, and-“
He leaned closer before you could go on, his hand coming up to your cheek. “Stop. Don’t do that. Kyle wasn’t truthful about anything. He didn’t know anything. Your an amazing actress, you are an amazing person. And there’s so many people out there who would love you.”
You laughed under your breath and shook your head. “Oh yeah, because they are just lining up to be with me. I’ve only been with one other man since Kyle. Nobody is interested in me, he is right.”
He stared deep in your eyes and frowned, you really believed it. If he could just show you how much he adored and loved you, it would be hardcore proof that you were too amazing to let go. His eyes lowered to your lips before he made his choice.
He leaned in slowly, hearing your breathing hitch but you didn’t back away. He hesitated, his heart pounding out of his chest. He was suddenly so nervous and so anxious. He’s been wanting to do this since he met you, he wanted it to be perfect.
He was scared, freezing between wanting to kiss you and not wanting to traumatize you or take advantage of a vulnerable girl. He didn’t know what to do. His lip shook in nervousness, his hand on your cheek trembling slightly.
You smiled shyly, taking in his condition. It was adorable seeing him so shy, so flustered. And it all became clear. Jensen really did like you. You noticed all the things he would say and do, and it made sense.
Without hesitation, you moved your head and stared into his eyes, seeing the love filled beneath them. You smiled and dipped forwards, your lips catching his in the best first kiss you could ever ask for.
He gasped in surprise before his hand moved to the back of your head, deepening the kiss as much as he could. Kissing Jensen unlocked something inside of you, something you didn’t know was there. You felt love, real love. And safe.
Jensen broke the kiss, resting his forehead against yours, a bright smile on his lips. “Wow.”
You giggled and lifted your head, “Yeah, wow. Jesus Jensen, what were you waiting for?”
He frowned and shook his head, “The right moment I guess, a sign that you were into me.”
You laughed lightly, “Jensen, I have been into you since day 1. Since you laughed at my stupid intro about quoting Dean Winchester. I’ve liked you since than and never stopped but you never made a move.”
He shook his head at himself, if he knew that you had feelings for him, he would have acted sooner but he had no idea. He didn’t want to move too fast and scare you. He didn’t want to mess things up for the show, he loved working with you.
Suddenly, it clued in. Daisies. He tried, he really did. You frowned and pushed your head down, Jensens eyes worriedly staring back at you.
“Daisies.” You whispered, shaking your head.
He smiled and leaned closer, “Yup, Daisies.”
“I should have cancelled. I should have stayed.”
He shook his head, “No, I think this is how it needed to happen. I think we know eachother way better now, and feelings are stronger.”
You smiled and nodded, leaning close to kiss his lips. You could feel him smiling into the kiss and everything inside of you melted. “Thank you for choosing me.” You whispered
He pushed another kiss before his hands moved to your cheeks. “I’ll always choose you Y/N.”
