My initial reaction to this part of the Genshin 5.0 livestream is "Oh, this is the section where they address the Natlan concerns vaguely" but upon rewatching it I have to yield and admit that that's probably not even the main concern they were addressing.

Internally I think I have a lot to say but I can't really find the words for it, because my stance remains unchanged. I'm just irreversibly disappointed. Because you can't say "We also value every Traveler's feedback a lot" and not specifically address the tens of thousands (if not more) that voiced how unhappy they are with your colorism.

then there's leorio. the healer not only just as as doctor but with the love he shows. his effervescent kindness that pulsates out of him, bathing one in a warm blanket. he does after all have "the kindest heartbeat of yorknew city." and that is because beneath all those layers of practiced selfishness, he at his core is selfless.

leorio will never give up even if kurapika scorns him and continues to ignore his calls. his outstretched hand will always be waiting for kurapika to interlace his finger's with his own. he cares. he will stoke the hearth and wait for him always.

no matter how kurapika tries to destroy himself and reject the world, leorio remains. how could he leave him? kurapika needs someone. he remains steadfast in his patience and loves him in spite of it all.
