mirrorball
Remus Lupin x femReader fluff
A/n: this idea came to me while listening to Mirrorball by Taylor Swift- it’s such a 🥰 song which I want to fall in love to so here’s a fic manifesting that lmao (also the gif isn’t mine;credits to the owner)
Warnings: kissing (?), Sirius being suggestive (what’s new) so 13 + , slight insecurity on part of the reader, FLUFFFFF, will make you want to attend the Yule Ball really badly
Tumblr media
The stairs leading down to the great hall were carpeted with a luxurious royal blue. The marble railings had pearls and holly twisting around them and the air carried a serene scent of honeysuckle. Chandeliers were suspended above, casting a warm light on the delighted students. Hogwarts really was beautiful during the Yule Ball.
Taking a deep breath, you let the atmosphere calm your nerves. You straightened out your white silk dress that cut off a little above your knees in the front and cascaded down to the ground at the back. The straps closed in on where your neck and shoulders met, forming a gracefully simple halter design. Lilly had convinced you to let her do your hair- she was probably more excited than you about the fact that your crush, Remus Lupin, had asked to take you as his date to the Yule Ball. You were glad you succumbed to her incessant pleads because your hair was tied up in an elegant bun and had tiny pearls scattered across the auburn locks.
Ever since third year potions when you and Remus happened to sit together, you knew you were starting to really fall for the brown haired boy. You doubted he felt the same for you though- he was intelligent, attractive, kind and...perfect. There were so many gorgeous girls in Hogwarts so what made you special to him? Lilly however, would practically yell at you for being so “blind”. “YOU BLIND IDIOT HOW DO YOU NOT SEE HOW HE SMILES SO GOOFISHLY LARGE AT YOU?! REMUS IS HEAD OVER HEELS FOR YOU BUT YOU BOTH ARE BLOODY COWARDS TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!” she would often say.
When he asked you to the ball, you felt hopeful about things...maybe just maybe he felt something too? Or maybe he wanted to take you as a friend? All these questions buzzed through your head as you slowly made yourself down the stairs. Your fingers grazed the holly clad railings as a swarm of hippogriffs raced inside your stomach. Shaking your head to clear your thoughts, you reached to bottom of the stairs where the two of you had agreed to meet. You stretched your neck and scanned the room, searching for the boy you had crushed on for nearly two years.
There he was, standing with James, Sirius and Peter who were all laughing merrily at a joke. Remus looked breathtakingly handsome. He was the tallest amongst them all, his light brown hair that you had always desired to stroke was pushed back, his dress robes were navy blue and fit him perfectly. His face was etched with the scars of his secret which you admired- you always felt honored by the fact that you were one of the people he trusted enough to tell. Remus’ eyes sparkled as he chuckled at something James had said.
All of a sudden you felt your breathing quicken and your heart ache. You couldn’t do this. ‘Am i stupid?’ You thought to yourself, ‘Why would he ever like me when he could have any girl he wants? I’m just an ordinary girl- he deserves better than me.’ Consternation clouded your mind and right then you had resolved to go back to your dorm and if not you would probably throw up on him in a state of anxiety. Now that would be embarrassing. It isn’t like Remus would miss you anyways right? He could just get another girl at the last moment to be his date- and that lucky girl would all too willingly oblige.
Just as you turned on your heel to go back up, you felt a warm hand wrap around your shoulder. You turned you head in confusion and you eyes were met with sparkling hazel ones- it was Remus. “ Y/n! You look gorgeous-wow” His sweet yet husky voice rang out, his eyes taking you in. Heat rose to your cheeks at his words. ‘He’s just being nice he doesn’t mean it obviously’ you told yourself, not letting yourself get hopeful just to be let down . “Oh uh hi there Remus. Um thanks you too” you greeted, slurring your words out, flustered. His lips curved upwards in a smile and his hand left your shoulder. He raised his eyebrows, silently asking if it was okay to take your hand. You nodded slowly, still in a daze. Remus’ large hand softly enveloped yours as he lead you to his friends.
Sirius looked away from the girl on his arm who’s name was Marlene. She smiled at you cordially and complimented your dress. Sirius’ greeting on the other hand was well- unique. To expect anything else would be out of the question though ; you had known him ever since you were seven because of boring pure blood family banquets you were forced by your parents to attend. The two of you always sought each other’s company instead of those other stuck up, nauseating witches and wizards present . “y/l/n! good day!” he said, mockingly bowing. “Don’t you look ravishing, little one” You rolled your eyes jokingly at him, trying to seem calm and respond like you normally would, “Yes hello to you too Sirius.” He joked about you him being your mentor in regards to sneaking away and pranking slimy, prejudiced, pure bloods.
“Hi y/n how are you” James greeted you sort of distractedly, looking around you. “Prongs! stop looking for Lilly jeez she said no to you five times i seriously doubt she’s gonna change her mind now” Sirius said exasperatedly. “James was hoping Lilly would be with you” Remus explained, chuckling lightly in with a mocking undertone. James crossed his arms at Remus’ taunting, “Oh don’t pretend like you weren’t worrying your arse about y/n ditching you because she was 2 minutes late” Remus scowled at his friend, red staining his cheeks.
“Awww” you giggled, sort of relieved that he actually wanted you there. So maybe there was nothing to worry about. ‘Just relax’ you told yourself. Remus returned you smile still blushing and gazed at you for a bit until he was broken from his reverie by Sirius voice. “Moony why do you look like you’re mentally undressing y/n- save it for after the ball when you can actually do it” he said winking suggestively, causing the whole group to break out in a chorus of laughter. Remus scowled at Sirius, shoving his shoulder playfully. Your face turned red as you shoved him too “Do you always have to be so immature and crude” you remarked, shaking your head in feigned disappointed. Sirius stuck his tongue out at you.
You felt Remus grasp your hand, “Let’s get out of here before i get embarrassed even more” He murmured. “Let’s go dance” You suggested before racing into the great hall, hand in hand, the both of you chuckling at you trying not to trip in your heels. The great hall was decked out in gorgeous Christmas decor- enchanted snowflakes fell to the ground, pine trees were adorned with bobbles and garlands and a thousand candles floated around, casting light over the formally dressed students and teachers. A merry chatter floated in the air, instantly having you excited for what the night would entail.
As you both made your way to the crowd, the band hoisted on the blue platform started playing Killer Queen by Queen. All the students including Remus and you starting cheering and dancing, full of energy. You grasped both his hands, reveling in the moment, jumping and dancing together, singing the lyrics till your throats were sore. As the chorus rang out, Remus pretended to be holding a mic to his mouth and sang the lyrics to you. You had very rarely seen this playfully goofy side of him and you absolutely adored it. Clenching your stomach which was aching from the waves of laughter that had overcome you, you fell to the ground, causing Remus to join you in the laughter. As his shoulders shook with uncontrollable chuckles, he reached his hand down to you, which you took. In that moment, you had completely forgotten about your anxiety and insecurities. Being here, laughing and dancing with him was enough. Nothing could be more perfect that watching his gorgeous face overcome with joy.
A few moments passed, allowing everyone to calm down and catch their breaths until the soft tune of a piano being played could be heard. All the couples took their places on the floor and started swaying slowly. “Did I tell you how amazing you look tonight?” the brown haired boy asked you as he lightly placed his hands on your waist, guiding you to the notes of the music. Maybe he did mean it? Your heart fluttered at the thought. The mirror ball above rotated slowly, casting glittering reflections on the both of you. “You look quite wonderful yourself” you said as you hesitantly placed both of your hands on top of his shoulders and stepped closer to him. You gazed into his hazel eyes, searching for something you had wanted for a long time. He gazed right back, never breaking contact. Remus’ eyes glittered in the warm light and within them you identified happiness. Yes that was definitely happiness...but there was something more. Remus’ calloused fingers were brought up to push a stray strand of hair out of your face, his hand grazing your skin ever so slightly, again giving rise to the hippogriffs in your stomach but this time they were conjured from joy rather than nerves.
You had not realized how long the two of you were completely entranced by each other until the music came to a halt. The both of you were broken away from your thoughts, but remained holding each other. Then Remus spoke, never leaving your eyes, “Y/n... I don’t know how to say this. I uh I have never done this before” He said, a look of hesitance falling over his face. He took a deep breath before continuing. “You’re so wonderful in every aspect fathomable and I really like you”. Remus scanned your face, worry ghosting his expressions as you remained silent. Your face was blank, but internally you were processing what just happened. “I’m sorry i shouldn’t have-” he started, taking his hands away from your waist, but then you leaned up, taking his face in your hands and crashed your lips onto his.
They tasted more marvelous than you could have imagined- like fire whisky and chocolate. All the day dreams you had gotten lost in during classes had finally become a reality. He kissed right back placing his hands on your lower back to bring you closer to him. Your hands trailed from his jaw to his neck, feeling the scarred, warm skin under your fingers- it was perfect, he was perfect. As you deepened the kiss you felt him smile against your lips before pulling away and placing his forehead on yours, reveling in the moment. “I really like you too” you whispered, your breath hot against his lips.
Cheers erupted from around the two of you and you turned your head to see the three marauders and a group of students clapping and cheering the both of you on. “MOONY YOU DID IT!” you heard James yell out, a proud smile plastered across his face as Sirius cheered again. Your gaze fell on a particular scarlet haired girl who was jumping enthusiastically- Lilly. You smiled wide as the two of you exchanged excited looks. “I told you” she mouthed before blowing a kiss at you.
Remus rubbed your back, pulling you into his side, bringing his mouth to your ear, “Wanna go up to the common room?” You nodded, pecking his cheek once more. You could not believe that he actually liked you- you could explode with happiness. When the two of you had reached the doors leading to the staircase where it was more quiet you stopped to take your heels off that were killing your poor feet. Before you could do so, Remus swiftly swooped you up in his arms, “No need, i can just carry you up” he said flashing you a large grin. You giggled, threading your arms around his neck and with your free hand carded your fingers through his soft brown hair. “I’ve always wanted to do that” you admitted. He laughed in response. “We can sit by the fireplace, I’ll get us some snacks and we can talk. We can also do more of this” he swooped down to plant a lingering, sweet kiss on your lips. “How does that sound?”
“Mmmm that sounds perfect” You replied, resting your head against his chest. This felt like home. And the best part was that this wasn’t a dream- it was all reality.
Hi there! I hope you enjoyed. If you have any suggestions for what I should write next, let me know!

All Because of a Jacket
Tumblr media
Stiles x Reader
 GIF Not Mine
Summary: A collection of the times Stiles lends Y/N his lacrosse jacket.
 Warnings: None.
 Word Count: 2,039
A/N: I have no idea where this came from guys. Actually, I do—I ordered myself a Stiles lacrosse jacket and I’ve been living in it since it came, so that’s most likely what inspired this little imagine. I hope you enjoy it! Leaving a link HERE to the jacket I got off Etsy if you’re interested—I cannot recommend it enough!
It started off subtle, something I didn’t notice at first, and was merely grateful for. The pack had met in the middle of the lacrosse field on a Sunday evening, the location chosen as a way of avoiding any police cruisers who were out enforcing the town-wide 9pm curfew. Still, I didn’t understand why we couldn’t just have met at someone’s house, though I suppose that did run the risk of neighbours ratting us out.
I’d been trying to listen to what Scott was saying, and the whole reason we were gathered in the middle of the freezing cold lacrosse field in January, but I couldn’t bring myself to focus. It was my own fault, really. I’d assumed we’d go inside the school once we’d all gathered together, which was why I’d forgone grabbing a jacket as I left my house. Now, I was there, scrunching the sleeves of my jumper in a vain attempt to retain some heat and reverse the cold settling in on my bones. I had my arms crossed over my chest, and was seriously considering just wrapping my arms around Derek and burying my face into his back—he wouldn’t have minded and the man gave off more heat than a damn space heater, but I was startled out of my thoughts by a curtain of warmth being wrapped around me. I blinked, surprised and my eyes fluttered closed for a second in complete and utter relief, before my brain registered that the wonderfully warm jacket hadn’t just landed on my shoulders of its own accord. I looked to my left and straight into a particular pair of honey brown eyes that I was more than a little fond of. His eyes were soft at that moment, and when I murmured a quiet thank you, he responded with a bashful smile that made my heart skip a beat in my chest.
As I slid my arms through the long sleeves of Stiles’ lacrosse jacket and buttoned up the front in an attempt to retain the warmth the sarcastic boy’s body had provided, I found myself grateful that Stiles, like me, was one of the only humans of the group. It meant that I’d been able to successfully keep my more than platonic feelings from him. Of course, he was the only one who didn’t know.
I narrowed my eyes at Derek’s teasing, barely there, smile and discretely flipped him off by scratching my nose with my middle finger. The action didn’t go unmissed by the blue-eyed wolf and he breathed a chuckle before returning his attention to the alpha in front of the group.
My cold state now taken care of, I was able to concentrate on Scott’s words, subconsciously stepping closer to Stiles as I listened, my body seeking out the comfort his presence always provided me with without my consent.
That was the first time Stiles gave me his jacket.
 //
The second time had been during a “stake-out” with Liam and Stiles. The honey-eyed boy was adamant that there was something off with Theo, and honestly I hadn’t got the best feeling about him popping into our lives out of nowhere for one, adding in the fact he was also a werewolf… well it was just too much of a coincidence.
‘I’m telling you, there’s something not right about him, Y/N.’ Stiles said, for what must have been the hundredth time in the last four hours.
‘Stiles.’ My hand covered his on the steering wheel, and I felt us both immediately relax at the touch, ‘I believe you, okay? You don’t need to convince me of anything. If you say there’s something off with Theo, I’m not going to question it.’
His usually honey-brown eyes were dark with emotion as his hand squeezed mine, ‘why? Why do you believe me?’
‘Because you have great instincts and I trust you and your opinions more than anyone else’s.’ I told him honestly.
I felt my heart beat pick up the longer his eyes bore into mine, but I refused to look away, even knowing that Liam was probably smiling in the same smug way all the werewolves had mastered whenever my heart misbehaved around Stiles. What felt like hours later, Stiles blinked and bought my hands in-between both of his.
At my look of confusion, he elaborated, ‘you’re freezing.’
‘Huh, I didn’t even notice.’ I shrugged, trying to fight the blush forming on my cheeks at what felt like an intimate gesture.
He opened his hands a little so he could blow some hot air onto mine, and the warmth generated from the act seemed to travel through my whole body.
‘Better?’ he asked after a few minutes of repeating the gesture.
I cleared my throat and kept my answer short, not trusting my voice, ‘much. Thank you.’
‘No problem.’ He released my hands and I slid them underneath my thighs to retain the heat he’d created.
My eyes moved over to where we’d been watching for most of the night, to see Theo was still playing his video game, like he had been for most of the night. It made me frown; sure video games were what teenagers usually did, but it just seemed too convenient to me. I was about to voice my opinion to Stiles and Liam when familiar cotton was placed onto my shoulders. My arms moved through the sleeves almost reflexively as I offered my best friend a grateful smile, and tried to resist the urge to bury my face into the fabric to inhale his sweet and husky scent.
 ‘Thank you.’
‘Can’t have you freezing on me.’ He joked his hand squeezing my thigh briefly before returning it to the steering wheel.
I couldn’t have stopped the blush that formed on my cheeks if I tried, so I turned my gaze to stare out of the window, my hand resting where his had touched me, and I wondered— if I were to remove the denim barrier provided by my jeans, would my thigh display a brand of his hand print?
Because the heat left behind by his touch felt exactly like I had been branded as his.
 //
The third time had been in the cafeteria.
We were all sitting together, minus Derek and Liam, and all having different conversations in our own little groups. Allison and Isaac were making weekend plans, provided she could sneak out without her father noticing, Lydia, Aiden, Ethan and Danny were talking about something they could all do together on a double date, and Stiles, Scott and I were all talking about collages we wanted to apply to. Well, they were. I was trying not to fall asleep using my sandwich as a pillow; I’d been up late the night before, helping Stiles put together his criminal bored. Nothing had been solved, but we both found it helpful to have everything, every clue, and every detail all in one place.
Of course, time had gotten away from us, and our party had been broken up by the Sherriff returning from his shift and gently informing us it was past three am. I’d been too tired to drive home and had slept on the couch, but two hours sleep wasn’t enough time for me, unlike Stiles; he was as hyperactive as ever.
I pushed my tray away from me with a sigh, too tired to eat anyway, and laid my head down on top of my arms. I’d heard a few chuckles from the pack, but I ignored it; they knew how I could be when I was tired so they just left me to it. I was on the brink of passing out, knowing someone would wake me for our next class, when I found myself surrounded by what was becoming my favourite jacket emitting warmth and a scent I couldn’t get enough of. I slid my arms into the sleeves and nuzzled my face into the fabric once I’d returned them to my original position. Had I been fully conscious of my actions, I’d have been embarrassed at my audience, but the chuckles simply faded into nothing as I finally found sleep.
What I hadn’t noticed was Stiles’ fond smile, or the knowing and frustrated expressions the rest of the pack wore.
 //
The fourth time had been during a lacrosse game.
I’d been standing in the bleachers, wearing a jacket that was not keeping me warm in the slightest and discretely trying to huddle closer to Malia—she gave off as much heat as her uncle did—when I’d heard Stiles shouting my name.
I’d frowned, but manoeuvred my way out of the row I’d been sat in and made my way down to the benches, where he was waiting. He was holding his helmet under his arm and when I reached him, he held out his jacket and I took it, but didn’t put it on in case I’d misunderstood his meaning. Did he want me to give it to Malia? I’d noticed they’d been particularly close since she had joined the pack, and as much as it made my heart ache, I was glad the female wolf had someone to offer her comfort when she’d been without it for so long.
‘I noticed it’s pretty cold and figured you could use a jacket.’ He said, seeming nervous.
I felt a genuine smile form on my lips as I slid the cotton on and buttoned up the front, ‘thank you. I feel like I should rent this from you with how often I wear it.’ I chuckled, pulling my hair out from underneath the fabric.
He joined me in my laughter, ‘nah, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I like seeing you in my jacket.’ He looked nervous again and my heart skipped a beat in my chest.
Did he mean…? ‘You do?’ I asked, my voice quiet to my own ears.
‘I do,’ he stepped closer and I felt wonderfully dizzy as a stronger wave of his heat and scent washed over me, ‘Y/N…I’ve liked you for a while. As more than a friend, and I’ve been too scared to say anything, but Scott practically threatened to kill me if I didn’t admit it to you.’
‘You like me?’ I repeated, dumbfounded. How had I missed it? Had I been so preoccupied in hiding my own feelings that I’d been blind to his?
‘Yes.’ He looked more nervous now and I found myself reaching out, my hands falling on top of his in an attempt to comfort him.
‘Stiles…’ I took a breath, finding the courage to say the words I’d been holding in for so long, ‘I like you too.’
His honey-coloured eyes bore into mine for what felt like hours, but in reality it was only a few seconds, before his lips formed a face splitting grin that made my heart warm in my chest.
‘So, will you go on a date with me?’ he asked, seeming more confident but not much.
‘Absolutely.’ I grinned, my face leaning into his hand as it came up to caress the side of my face.
‘Awesome.’ He grinned again, and I was sure that we would both be wearing these giddy expressions for the foreseeable future, ‘pizza after?’
‘Perfect.’ I laced my fingers through his and almost jumped a mile when coach blew his whistle. I’d been so lost in him, his touch, his warmth, and his smell that I’d completely forgotten where we were.
‘I should get out there before Coach kills me.’ He chuckled.
‘Okay.’ I replied, reluctantly releasing his hands.
He leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss to my forehead that I made my heart melt. Before he could leave me completely, I grabbed his jersey and with a teasing grin told him, ‘by the way, this jacket is mine now.’
He blinked, and when he’d processed my words a bright, fond grin broke out across his face. He leaned in, kissed my cheek and whispered against my skin, ‘you won’t find me objecting to that, sweetheart.’ He winked, waved, and left to join the huddle in the centre of the field.
My cheek didn’t stop burning for the rest of the game.

A/N: Holy shit, thank you so much for your amazing compliments! I am so appreciative of your support for my work. I love writing and nothing makes me happier than knowing that people enjoy reading what I put out there. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to choose...I thought I’d step into unfamiliar territory and try writing for our boy Dabi.
Tumblr media
Dabi: “I promise, even cocaine won’t make you feel as good as I do.”
You were on a high, bliss dripping down your body as you smiled, sinking into your dewy skin and enveloping you with elation. The neon lights of the city looked enchanting on your walk home; the flickering lights were endearing to see. Usually this stretch of the city had you on alert, the dimmed, broken lights ominous, but even the lingering sense of foreboding couldn’t tear down your stride tonight. You’d been promoted at your hero agency. Your friends took you out to celebrate, and after an evening of joyous laughter and reminisces of past times, your humble, fluffy bed was calling you home. But tonight, of all nights, you should’ve been more prepared, hero senses heightened, for there was a predator on the loose. And you had become an easy, much desired target.
He barreled into you like a wolf rolling over its prey, so quick and vicious that your brain still felt like it was floating in the clouds when you were pressed into the dirt and grime of the alley. He was heavy, the weight of his hips pinning you, spreading you and making you more vulnerable. He was dark, his hair, clothing, and even portions of his skin blurring together like a bleeding, inky mess above you. A bright flash of blue caught your attention, eyes burning as vivid as Sirius up in the sky, the brightest star in the dog days of summer.
“Dabi,” you breathed, liquid heat rolling over your skin.
“Didn’t think to call me up to celebrate, princess?”
His breath was hot and husky against your neck, hands becoming greedy as his fingers searched for delicious skin underneath your clothes.
“Of course not,” you teased, the gears of your bodies shifting into place as you pulled him by his hair, bringing smoldering lips to yours. He was ravenous and wicked, smile biting into your lips as he hungrily drank from you. Your mouths shifted together in a knowing dance, dangerous and languid as hands found their familiar homes against the curve of your bodies. Your fingers splayed across his chest, feeling the disparity between soft and marred skin, slivers of metal brushing your knuckles. He was forbidden, but so were you.
Your high was flooding over your skin again, mind swimming as you were blanketed by the heat of his body and the scent of smoke and leather. It had been months since you last felt him against you, molding into your curves like he fucking belonged there, and instantly you felt hooked again, felt the flames of addiction become reignited as his taste lingered on your tongue.
“Not here,” you gasped as his fingers ripped at the barriers of your clothes, spreading the threads open as he vied to take your skin.
“Yes, here, you dirty little hero. I’m going to fuck you here and have you screaming like a fucking alley cat.”
The breath was knocked from your lungs as he found his way to your core, fingers prodding at silken, weeping flesh and grinning at your wetness. He knew how to push you, how to make the virtuous little hero fall apart for a conniving villain. He teased his thumb along your slit, gathering your slick before placing a steady pressure upon your clit. He didn’t move the digit, just kept it pressed to your bundle of nerves, a reminder of how he easily he could take control over one of the most private of places upon your body.
You whimpered, ears perking as you heard people walking down the street, feet shuffling in the same filth that you now laid in. Your heart started to beat faster, blood pounding in your ears, pulse erratic in your neck. Any moment someone could veer down the alley, find you straddled by the blueflame villain, his hands between your legs and his tongue between your lips, pulling his cock from his pants as he prepared to fuck you into the ground. You could feel him then, thick and hot between your legs, cock pressing at your entrance just below the thumb hovering at your clit.
“I promise, even cocaine won’t make you feel as good as I do.” It was a devilish promise spoke into your mouth, an incantation that had you spellbound.
You gripped at the tattered jacket he wore, tucking your face into his neck to hide away from prying eyes, from the rest of the world, and allow him to press his fat cock into your body. He always did this, found you in some unassuming position, pinned you somewhere seedy and ravaged you because he could. He was right, no one could make you feel as good as he did, as desired and full as when he wrapped his hand around your throat while he strummed the other upon your clit.
His thrusts were quick and sharp, hips snapping against your thighs as he buried himself deep inside of you. Each plunge of his body had yours sliding upon the ground, your exposed skin dragging along the earth and debris scratching and pressing into your flesh. He flexed his fingers along your throat, grin flashing in the neon lights like a hypnotic vision above you.
“I know you fucking love this, being fucked like the dirty slut you are. You’re no fucking hero, just a whore who spreads her legs whenever I command.”
You could only nod in response, your words being crushed under his hand as he squeezed the sides of your neck just to watch you faulter underneath him. It was shameful how good he made you feel, how his cock stretched you just right, how his scarred skin kissed against your own and reminded you of who was fucking you senseless. He kept at you, pounding into you until you couldn’t hold back your sounds any longer, shrill little shrieks echoing among the bricks as he sinfully brought you closer to the edge of euphoria with the twisting of his thumb, the shoving of his cock.
“You know what else?” he chuckled as he nipped at your ear, “I bet I can make you cum on command too.”
He didn’t need to, as his raspy words had you tumbling anyways, falling apart around his body as everything tightened and coiled inside of you. The throes of pleasure enraptured you so intensely that you failed to register that he had left you, until you heard a burst of laughter from above, the sound like the laughing flames of hell, of trickery and madness and pleasure from your humiliation.
“Congrats on your promotion, hero, enjoy your present.”
As quick as he appeared, he was gone, sauntering away into a mist of broken, flickering lights and the smell of his cum lingering between your legs.

Tumblr media
You woke up without the memory of falling asleep. Your head was still dizzy and you felt your shoulders and back very stiff. You attempted to stretch them but soon realized that something was constricting you.
That’s when your eyes shot wide open in panic. You were tied up to a chair, completely unable to move. You struggled, trying to move and set you free, but your efforts were in vain. Any screams or sounds coming from you were muffled by the piece of cloth tied securely around your mouth.
The surroundings were unknown by you. It looked like a warehouse, illuminated by purple and pink lights, as well as some candles scattered around. The place was slightly cluttered with a few piles of books, which you recognized by the cover as some of your personal favorites, a guitar propped against a black leather couch.
There were also a bunch of long stemmed roses decorating the place, if you could call that decoration. Some of the flowers’ petals had already fallen and danced around with the light breeze that came from one of the high broken glass windows.
“Oh, great, you woke up” a cheerful voice startled you, making you jump in your seat.
A boy appeared in front of you, closing a heavy sliding metal door behind him, and the loud noise it made didn’t seem to bother him at all. He was wearing a black suit with a white shirt underneath, topped with a bolo tie beautifully adorned by a blue gemstone in the center.
His raven hair was messy, looking as he’s been running his hands through it after attempting to style it. He had make up on his face, but it was poorly applied, leaving eyeshadow smudges across the outer corner of his eye, just as the lip tint was smeared around the lips.
His face was very sweet looking despite the mad smile he was shooting you.
He approached you, crouching down to look you in the eyes, and gently pulled the gag away from your mouth.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t here, have you been up for so long?” he asked with a concerned and apologetic tone.
“What do you want from me?” your voice was so small it was barely audible. Your whole body was shaking and the tears were rolling freely down your cheeks.
He tilted his head as if he didn’t understand your question, eyeing you curiously. He reached his hand to dry your tears, but you flinched away.
“Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you.” He stated softly before proceeding with his action, his touch so soft you could barely feel it. “I even used silky ropes, so your wrists wouldn’t bruise
You couldn’t bring yourself to answer. What would you even answer anyway?
“Anyway, we have the whole evening to ourselves! What do you wanna do? I’ve got all of your favorite books and there’s some food if you’re hungry. I could also pick up some wine, if that’s what you would like.” He started pacing around, trying to figure out what to grab first.
“Who are you?” you managed to say, even though your trembling voice was refusing to come out properly
“Oh, silly me” he laughed, lightly tapping his head and rolling his eyes “I’m Hyunggu, but you can call me Kino. Nice to meet you, y/n.” He offered a smile that you believed was supposed to be sweet, but it just sent shivers down your spine.
“How do you know my name?” you asked and couldn’t help but cry harder.
“I know everything about you!” Kino said proudly. “I know your favorite coffee shop and where you work from 9 to 5. I know you like to meet up with your best friend in that park near your house and spend the day reading under the big oak tree listening to music...”
As he kept listing everything about you, the feeling of sheer panic took over you, and at this point you were sobbing loudly. You wondered how long have you been watched and how couldn’t you notice it before.
“No, don’t cry” he leaned down in front of you again. “It’s okay, I promise I’m not bad”
He caressed your hair, but you started to move around as much as you could, avoid him near you
“Don’t touch me!” you yelled, crying harder as you did so. “Don’t get near me!”
“Y/N, don’t do this, please” He tried to hold you still, showing his strength as he held your shoulders down.
“HELP!” you yelled at the top of your lungs. “SOMEBODY HELP ME, PLEASE!”
Kino’s whole demeanor changed. His eyes were dark and scary now. He stood up, looking at you impatiently.
“You can scream as much as you want, y/n, we are in the middle of nowhere. I’m the only one here for you. I am your only help.”
Your heart was pounding in your ears and you were crying so hard you barely could catch your breath. Everything was about fear. You feared for your life and you couldn’t see yourself escaping.
“You leave me no choice, y/n” Kino said before pulling a syringe out of his pocket, taking the lid off with his teeth
“No, please! Please don’t do this!” You plead, squirming hard in another failed attempt to free yourself. “Please, don’t do this, I’ll do whatever you want, please!”
He completely ignored you, as he forcefully grabbed your arm and swiftly poked the needle through your skin.
You screamed in pain and horror until you could feel yourself drifting off against your will.
Tumblr media
When you woke up again, the first thing you saw was Kino sitting on the couch, staring intently at you. He had moved your chair closer when you were unconscious, to the point where he could reach you from where he was sitting without any trouble.
His expressions weren’t as harsh as you last remember seeing him. He opened that same sweet but psycho smile as he saw you regaining your consciousness. Again you couldn’t say anything even if you tried. You were feeling tired and defeated, and by this point you just accepted there’s nothing you could do.
“You’re back just in time! I’ve got you food!” He picked up the pack of food from your favorite burger shop. “It’s already midnight and I know for a fact that your last meal was almost 12 hours ago, you can not get weaky, y/n. You must be hungry.”
He unwrapped the burger and reached it close to you so you could take a bite. You stared at him angrily, pondering the multiple scenarios over your head. The food must not have poison or anything that could kill you. If he wanted you dead he would have done it by now. If you wanted to escape you had to have strength. And he got it right, you were starving from the stupid salad your coworker bought you for lunch. You laughed quietly at how dumb and futile a diet sounds at the moment you’re at.
You took a big bite, involuntary moaning in satisfaction as you tasted your favorite. Kino smiled proud of himself for making you eat. You chewed fast, wanting to get this over with, but he seemed to enjoy watching every second of it. He alternated between the burger and fries, letting you take sips of soda through the plastic straw of the disposable cup.
When you finished eating he delicately dabbed the paper napkin on your face, making sure no spots were left dirty. He caressed your hair and beamed at you, who was just angrily holding his gaze.
“Good girl” he murmured.
“What do you want from me?” your voice was back to normal by now, and you were able to enunciate your words confidently.
Kino sat back, resting his back carefully against the couch, doing the same head tilt he’s done before.
“You’re asking the wrong question, y/n.” he said in a husky voice, sounding as an attempt to be seductive “I am here yo do whatever you want from me.”
“I want you to let me go” you promptly interrupted
“See, I can not do that just yet.” He leaned forward now, elbows resting on his knees and hands clasping together. He observed every little motion you made. “I need you here. And unfortunately you have to stay like this until I’m sure you won’t run away from me.”
“And what makes you think I will ever want to be with you?” you spit your words, full of anger rather than fear, tired of these games.
“Because you are just like me” he stated calmly
You scoffed.
“Please, elight me in what way are you and me similar?” you rolled your eyes.
He leaned forward again, gazed locked in your eyes as he slowly placed his hand on your knee. He looked at you like he knew all your secrets - which he probably did. Something about the way he treated you and looked at you, something about this whole dynamic, is entrancing. Something in him draws you in, either with just hate for being trapped or with curiosity on why is this all happening.
“You are just like me when you lock yourself in your room at night, and when you shuffle through dating apps to find someone that can keep you busy for a night but cannot give you what you truly want.” He enunciated every word eloquently “I know that you try to find in others what you can find in yourself. That hole can’t be filled with one night stands and strangers paying you drinks all night.”
You gulped. He was not wrong. Of every person in your life, no one ever knew this about you. You never shared your feelings, never let anyone in. How can a stranger know something so personal that even the closest people don’t. He got you like no one did, and you hated yourself for being so vulnerable and exposed. The few tears streaming down your cheeks were now full of shame and anger.
“You are desperate to feel something. Something you don’t even know what it is. A thrill. A high. Anything. But you never get it. Day after day you seek that sparkle inside of you that nothing and no one could light up.” He paused, staring deeply at you. “So far.”
You held his gaze, refusing to let him think he had the upper hand, even though he did. You were too proud to admit he was right. He didn’t say anything else, and neither did you. The small bubble of the personal staring contest was secure, not a sound or any life form could interrupt you. You could hear the wind shaking some foliage and the rose petals still flying around your peripheral vision.
Without saying another word, Kino got up and started pacing around, humming an unknown tune carelessly, like nothing had happened.
“May you not rest as long as I am living. You said I killed you - haunt me then. The murdered do haunt their murderers.” Kino said calmly. “ Be with me always, take any form. Drive me mad. Only do not leave me in this abyss, where I cannot find you” You felt like you’ve heard that before. “Oh, God... It is unutterable... I cannot live without my life... I cannot live without my soul.”
“Very ironic to quote Wuthering Heights right now.” You said after finally recognizing the quote.
“Romantic, isn’t it?” He smiled sweetly.
“If that book is your reference of romance, that says a lot about how you perceive love.” You chuckled humorlessly
“Is that why you’ve read it 3 times?” He asks with a hint of triumph in his voice.
You didn’t know how to respond.
“I know what you want, y/n, and I am the one who can give it to you.” he continued.
“And how are you going to do that with me tied up to a chair?”
“You will be out of there soon.” His expression darkened “I just need to understand that I know you. The real you. The you that you don’t show to anyone else. You’ve realized that by now. You and I are the same, and when I found you I knew that you had what I was looking for. You just want to be loved. You lit up my sparkle and if you give me a chance I can do the same for you. I know what you need and I can give it to you. I can show you that you have this power inside you all along.”
As you stared at him, you couldn't help but feel drawn to his eyes. There was something about it that made you not want to look away. It looked sincere. The way he looked at you, you felt like you could trust him, like he would never lie to you.
"You'll see." he finally said before leaving out again.
When he closed the door behind him, you weren't surprised you felt lonely. The place was scary. The candles were burning out and the room was getting darker. The noises outside made you flinch every other minute and you just desperately. If only you weren't tied up, you would feel safer. You could try to defend yourself if something happened. And then you caught yourself wishing Kino was here. You weren’t scared of something or someone hurting you when he was around.
Tumblr media
The first time Kino uncuffed you was the next day. It felt like forever until he was back. You woke up and fell back asleep countless times. The mixture of exhaustion, fear and panic was almost taking you sanity away.
When he came back the sun was already out. You could feel your face swollen from all the crying and there wasn’t one place in your body that wasn’t hurting.
“I’m going to untie you now.” He said, crouching down to be eye-to-eye, like he always did when talking to you. He just never looked down at you. “If you try to escape, I’ll be forced to do things I don’t want to.” As he said it, you could see his hand patting the knife on his pocket. “I did something I think you will like.”
As the ropes loosened around you, and you finally stood up, you sighed in relief when you stretched your back and arms up.
“You can go in there.” Kino pointed to a room that was behind you, on the part of the warehouse you couldn’t see before. “Take all the time you want, I’ll be there when you get comfortable.”
You walked slowly, looking over your shoulders just to see him sitting patiently on the chair that you were previously tied up to.
What was on the other side of the door was a surprisingly clean and bright bathroom. There was a warm bubble bath and a fluffy towel waiting for you.
You were quick to undress and your body welcomed the soothing water. You allowed yourself to close your eyes and rest, letting all your muscles relax. You didn’t keep track of how long you stood there, but eventually a knock on the door brought you out of the bubble.
You tried to cover yourself under the bubbles, since you couldn’t really tell him to not enter
“There’s clean clothes for you.” he pointed to the bag on the corner. “You can leave your dirty ones in the sink”
He sat on the edge of the tub and you just curled yourself up, feeling more vulnerable and exposed than before. He reached for the shampoo, and started massaging your head after pouring some in your hair.  He  humming softly, his fingers working soothing circles down your scalp and around your neck. Eventually you felt like you could just let go and enjoy the caring gesture, the tension slowly going away with time.
After some time, Kino left again, letting you finish your bath and change into fresh clothes that you recognize as your own, and it didn’t surprise you that he probably broke into your house. When you went back, there were a few takeaway containers with breakfast food waiting for you on a small table set right in the middle of the room. There was a chair for you across from Kino’s, which he motioned for you to sit.
“Are you feeling better?” He asked
You took a seat slowly, not really sure of what you were and weren’t allowed to do.
“Yes” You limited your answer.
“So, I can give you time untied if you behave well. So far you haven’t tried anything unpleasant, and that makes me really happy, y/n. You may enjoy your breakfast now.”
The tingling feeling of gratefulness worried you.
Tumblr media
Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months until you lost track of time. Kino began trusting you more, and most of the time you were free to walk around the place. He brought a bed where you could sleep comfortably, there were always fresh meals and new clothes waiting for you. He would spend the time listening to music or reading some random book. Sometimes you two would discuss it, it was a good way for you to forget the actual situation you were in.
The feeling of the first night only grew, you hated being alone at night, always giving you an uneasy feeling of being unsafe, and that’s why he spent most of the time with you. He would only leave to buy more food or “run quick errands”, as he would say and that’s when he tied you up again, which grew accustomed to.
“For your own safety, princess” He would say before planting a kiss to your forehead and leaving.
You always yearned for him to come back soon.
Kino was always gentle and treated you kindly. He would listen to your requests - as long as they wouldn’t include leaving the place. One day he even let you out for a little bit, so you could enjoy the sun, but of course he was strongly gripping your hand all the time.
You could see that he never lied about being in the middle of nowhere. It looked like an old and abandoned industrial area, surrounded by a vast wild field, the only access was a barely-noticeable dirt road.
You felt really happy and, again, grateful. You were convinced that Kino was a good person for you. He listened, he took care of you and he was always honest. You didn’t think he was a bad person. He understood you. And you were starting to understand him.
With time, you didn’t even think about your life before him. You forgot about your tiring work, your unfriendly coworkers, the bars, the drinking, all the things that made you tired and disgruntled were left behind and it was thanks to him. You felt like you owed him.
In your captive you found freedom and for that you didn’t feel caged.
Tumblr media
“I won’t take long to come back,” Kino said, making your stomach twist in anxiety. “I know you don’t like being alone at night, but I have something important to do.”
“Can’t I go with you? I can be in the car, you can lock me up inside, I promise I won’t do anything but wait for you.”
“I can’t do that, princess, there are certain things I rather keep you away from. I wouldn't risk losing you.” He said and kissed your forehead, the familiar gesture reassuring you that he was just trying to take care of you. He left quickly after he tied you to the bed. The radio was on, so at least you had something to distract yourself with.
It was about 15 minutes later when the heavy door slid open, and you felt so relieved for not being alone anymore.
“Hello?” A strange voice echoed around.
You immediately started panicking, afraid of someone hurting you. You couldn’t hide or run, and soon the strange man saw you.
“Oh, Hi, I just got lost in the road, and I saw some lights, I thought I could ask for direct-” he stopped mid track when he saw your wide-eyed face, and finally noticed you were tied up. “Oh my god, are you okay?! Is someone keeping you trapped here?”
He ran towards you, and you started screaming and crying.
“Don’t come closer, please!” You yelled, the frighten evident in your voice.
“Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you, I can get you out of here.” He got a pocket knife to cut you free from the ropes, and immediately grabbed your wrists to pull you away. “Come on! I’ll call the police from the car”
You were flooded with conflicting thoughts. For a long time you thought of trying to find a way to escape. You dreamed of putting your life back on track after this wake up call, to chase after your dreams and do all the things you haven’t done before. And right now the opportunity was right there in front of you.
But all you felt was scared. You didn’t want to leave Kino. There was nothing out there for you anymore. Kino gave you everything. He allowed you to find yourself. He took care of you and made you feel safe, he was the one for you. You only needed him.
You pulled yourself from his grip
“Go away!”
“No, you don’t understand, I can take you out of here. I can take you to the police and they will protect you from the sick bastard who is keeping you here. He won’t hurt you anymore.” the guy was desperate, trying to grab you again as you fought him.
You stepped back until you hit the table where you have had dinner just an hour ago. You watched as the man approached you, and in panic you reached back your hand, feeling your way to a knife.  When he finally reached you, yanking you forcefully towards the exact, you didn’t think twice.
It all happened too fast. You aimed for the neck, knowing that the chance of you hitting an important blood vessel was big, and he would die in seconds. The knife pierced through his skin gruesomely. You knew you hit where you wanted when, at the pull of it, blood gushed everywhere, staining your face and clothes.
The man fell to the ground with a loud thump, squirming powerless as more and more blood poured out of him, creating a puddle under his body. You were shaking, pupils blown wide from the adrenalin. You let the knife fall from your hand, the metal sound echoing around.
When you looked at the door, Kino was standing there, watching you worriedly.
You didn’t think twice when you sprint towards him. He received you in a tight hug, which you reciprocated with the same intensity. You buried your face in his neck, seeking comfort in the safety of having him with you.
“Are you okay, princess?” he stepped back, cupping your cheeks, his thumb brushing some blood drops away.
“Mm-hmm” You nodded quietly.
“I’m so sorry I left you here all alone, I should have been here to protect you.” he kissed your forehead calmly.
“He wanted to take me away, I was so scared.” You hugged him tighter, allowing yourself to cry quietly. “I-I couldn’t bear the thought of leaving you behind.”
Kino watched your words carefully, the corners of his lips twisting in a small smile. He caressed your cheeks and stared deep into your eyes. He looked happy. Satisfied.
“I will never leave you again” He cooed.
When he leaned closer to kiss your forehead again, you tiptoed so your lips met his.
His eyes widened in surprise for a second, he backed away as if you had done it by accident. When he realized that was your intention he pulled you closer again, arms twisting around your waist, and kissed you.
He kissed you as he life depended on it, and every fiber of your body jumped in excitement. You kissed him back, finally feeling like you were exactly where you belonged. Like you found the love of your life, the part that was missing. You had all you needed right there. He ended the kiss with light pecks, and that’s when you just needed to say something that’s been in the back of your mind for days:
“I love you, Kino”
“I love you, y/n” He smiled so happily. “I have a surprise for you.”
He reached his hand for you to hold, and you gladly accepted. Butterflies danced around your stomach in excitement.
He guided you outside, to his car. He opened the passenger door for you. You just couldn’t believe it. You looked at him in doubt, but he just gave you an encouraging nod.
You settled inside, and soon he joined you in the driver’s seat.
“I’ve been gathering this for a while for you. For us. For the time you were ready to start over, when you would accept to do with me. It can be just the two of us, we will build our life together from 0.” He motioned with his head to the backseat.
There was a duffle bag, full to the top with cash. A lot of cash. You didn’t feel the need to ask him where he got all of that, the important part is that all you wanted was to be with him. Start fresh where no one would come in between you and him.
“Do you want to run away with me, y/n?” Kino hopeful smile filled you with joy
“Yes! Absolutely!” you jumped in your seat, too excited to hold back.
It was all he needed to hear. He started the car and drove away. You watched from the rear-view mirror the warehouse being left behind for good. It was so hidden, it would take days for anyone to find the body. Kino and you would be far far away by then, living your fairy-tale fantasy. It was all behind you now. You looked down at your blood-stained clothes, and surprisingly wasn’t a bother. Nothing would be. Nothing could take this moment away from you.
Kino placed one hand on your thigh, the dark empty road didn’t require enough attention that he couldn’t share it with you. You placed your hand on top of his, lightly intertwining fingers. He flashed you another beautiful smile.
“You’re mine.” he said fondly. Strongly.
“I’m yours.”

Teasing (m)
Tumblr media
→ Pairings: Jungkook x Reader
→ Word count: 3.6k
→ Summary: The one where your study partner is just too cute you can’t resist teasing him.
↳ Warnings: pwp, (like zero plot istg...) explicit sexual themes, fingering, some dry-humping, unprotected sex, inexperienced partner, sub!jungkook, noona kink, some fluff if you squint. I didn’t proofread this so I apologize for any spelling mistakes.
Tumblr media
“Are you cold?”, Jungkook asks you after he sees you shudder again.
“I’m good”, you wave a hand in dismissal, you eyes glued to the laptop’s screen where the word document with your group’s assignment is opened, almost done. You’re freezing, actually, but there’s nothing to do about it considering you’re already wearing one of his fluffiest hoodies over your shirt. “Let’s just wrap this up real quick. We still need a better conclusion”.
Normally there is nothing in this world that can drag you away from your bed on a Sunday winter’s afternoon, but this assignment is worth 70 percent of your final grade and if you want to keep your scholarship you can’t afford less than a 4,5 for this essay. It was Jungkook’s idea to meet at his dorm, but he forgot to mention the heating system at his dorm was a little broken.
While you are sitting at the small blue couch right in front of his single bed, the laptop over your legs and a knitted blanket Jungkook had lying around his room threw over your shoulders, your partner sits down on the floor, legs crossed. Books and notes scattered around him and on his unmade bed, a bottle of banana milk half finished in his hand. He looks a lot younger than he is in his oversized black hoodie and the sleepy expression on his face as he sips from the red straw.
“We could finish it tomorrow, noona”, he suggests. But you are quickly shake your head in dismissal.
“We have to turn this in tomorrow. There is no time”
Jungkooks whines.
“We don’t have class with professor Kim until after lunch, noona. We have time”.
“If you want to sleep be my guest. I’ll see myself out when this is done”, you retort and hear him scoff.
“I’m not going to sleep with you in my room still working!”, he pouts. You can’t help a small chuckle leaving your lips at the sight of him with his pink-tinted cheeks. “Come on, noona... We’ve been over the essay half a dozen times already, it’s good. A single conclusion paragraph is good enough”.
You sigh and close the laptop. He has a point, but your perfectionist ass is always in search for the extra bit. Maybe you can try to polish it up by yourself tomorrow at first hour before leaving for your first class and give the poor boy a break. He’s never been one for academic writing, Jungkook always did better with the arts. He was quite good, even got some of his sketches published on one of the campus magazines.
“Fine...”, you stretch your arm to grab the laptop’s case and then proceed to secure it inside. “If you are that tired I guess I can leave”
“That’s not- !”, he looks down, a hand comes to his face in a poor attempt to hide his obvious blush from you “I didn’t mean it like that... You- you can stay...”. He whispers that last bit, but you still catch it.
“Stay?”, you smirk and look at him with amusement. Jungkook refuses to meet your eyes, he’s so cute when he’s embarrassed like that. “Stay where? Should I sleep in your bed then?”
He shoots his head up, like a deer caught in headlights. His doe eyes stare at you as if they couldn’t believe what you just said. His face’s gone completely red by now.
“I-“, he captures the red straw between his lips to avoid your question but ends up chocking up before he can swallow.
He puts it aside, coughing a couple times to get his breathing back to normal. Then he gives you a sheepish look.
“If noona wants to sleep here I can take the floor”, you can’t help but chuckle at his suggestion. Messing with him is always easy. He’s too shy, too cute sometimes that it’s hard to resist teasing him a little longer. But alas, you take pity on him and laugh it off.
“I’m just joking, relax”, you tell him and stand up from the couch to gather your things.
You hear him chocke out a forced laugh and turn your face to check his facial expresion. A hand rubs his neck, and there’s that tiny head tilt he does whenever he’s nervous. He notices your eyes on him so he immediately stands up and offers his help.
It’s when you are ready to leave that you remember that you are still wearing his hoodie. A last chance to push his buttons and watch his cute face contort in embarrassment.
“Oh, hold on...”, you hand him your bag. “Let me give this back to you before I steal it”
You step back to grab the hem of the hoodie and pull it over your head.
“You don’t-” The motion drags your shirt along a little, leaving your mid drift exposed to Jungkook’s eyes.
He knows he shouldn’t be staring at you again, but God! You’re so hot sometimes it drives him insane. And the worst part is that he knows you don’t see him as anything more than a kid. It’s not like you’ve rejected him or something, despite your constant teasing and flirting, he is convinced his not your type. He’s seen it: mature and elegant, with their life all figured out. Very much like that Seokjin dude you dated a few months back. Jungkook knows he’s the opposite and he doesn’t have the balls to ask you out anyway.
The last thing he wants is to make things weird between the two of you. If you stopped talking to him, then he’d be devastated.
You take off the oversized hoodie, and Jungkook notices something odd about the way your boobs bounce softly when you fix your shirt. And is with a racing heart that he realizes you are not wearing a bra.
All this time? Does that mean you walked in here like that?
”...W-Why aren't you wearing a bra?! , he doesn’t think before he speaks. “This is a boys only floor, noona!”
You look at him a little baffled at his outburst.
Why does he sound so scandalized? You are in your pajamas anyway, a long T-shirt and some joggers. Why would you use a bra when all you want is to be comfortable?
You smirk and raise one eyebrow.
”And why are you looking at my boobs, Jungkookie?”, you coo.
”I'm not! Well- I am but it's not...” he's completely flustered now, stumbling on his words. He covers his eyes with his palm and lets out an anguish whine. ”They’re just there!”
You chuckle and lean closer to his form. Just enough so you can whisper into his ear. ”Your such a little perv, Kookie... Fooling girls with that innocent act of yours when you are like this... tsk, tsk, tsk”.
“Oh my God! That’s not-”, he takes a deep breath and shies away from you.  “Noona, don’t say those things...”
He plops down on his bed, now covering his embarrassed face with both hands. He blushes even harder, that even down the neck of his shirt you see that he’s completely flushed.
You can tell your little act affected his blood flow in more than one way also, by the way he bring one hand to his pocket to fix his pants. It only makes you want to push him even more, but you don’t know how much he’s going to take before he kicks you out of his room.
So instead, you sit next to him and try to calm him down.
“I’m sorry, you’re just too easy to tease, baby”, you half-joke, a hand goes to pat his broad back. A soft whimper comes out of his lips at your casual use of the term of endearment and you chuckle, delighted “I won’t do it again”
Jungkook takes a deep sigh and lowers his hand from his face.
“You’re so mean sometimes, noona”, he says and looks up to meet your eyes for a brief moment before looking away.
You give him more reassuring pats on his back.
“Sorry, let me make it up to you. Would you like that?”.
“How?”
“What would you like me to do, hm?”, you ask.
It’s actually an innocent question. You are thinking about buying him some of those lamb skewers he loves, or getting him a new sketchpad, maybe a coffee. But when eyes meet and you find yourself enraptured by the way his pupils visible dilate, obscuring the warm brown from his eyes.
He licks his lips, your eyes follow his tongue’s movements and your are suddenly aware of how close you two actually are.
He smells warm, like a sunny day. All the heat that irradiates from his honey skin you can feel it through your palm. You lick your lips and lean closer, your hand tracing figures of eight on his back. He shudders, but doesn’t draw back. On the contrary, he moves a little closer to your until the outside of his his knee touch yours.
The shift in the mood is obvious the next time he speaks.
“Noona...”, his voice is a husky whisper.
“Yes, Kookie?”
“Can I...”, his eyes linger for a moment on your lips, as his pink tongue prods out of him mouth to moisture his own. He’s so cute and he has no clue to what that little tongue of his does to you. “c-can I kiss you?”.
Kiss you? Did innocent Kookie really just asked if he could kiss you?
Oh, my...
He doesn’t even know what he’s getting himself into.
Your hand moves from his back to his cheek and you run your fingertips over his soft skin. You cup his cheek and like a puppy he closes his eyes, keening into your touch. So compliant, so cute, you think to yourself.
You don’t answer him. Instead, your body moves forward and you press your lips to his as your other hand comes to cup his other cheek. Jungkook’s breath hitches in his mouth when your lips meet, but he soon melts into you.
His lips are soft as they start to move awkwardly to match your rhythm.
You bite his lower lip, earning a gasp from him. That’s when you take the chance to prod your tongue past his lips. He tastes sweet like banana milk.
And he moans into your kiss.
You want nothing more than to ruin him, to hear him moan and beg for his release. But maybe not just yet... you don’t know if he’s ready, if he had any kind of experience. He’s a handsome guy, you know there are half dozen girls in your semester that are after him. But he doesn’t pay attention to them, it’s like he is not interested at all. That makes you wonder if he could be a virgin still...
However, it’s the hand that’s creeping up your shirt and grabs a breast without hesitation that makes you realize he is not. He kneads and pinches one nipple between his fingers making you moan on his lips.
Before he can make you moan again, your hands land on Jungkook’s shoulders and you push him back onto the mattress. He gasps as you move to straddle him, pinning his wrists to the mattress.
Jungkook looks at you with heavy lidded eyes, his lips red a swollen from your kisses. His breath hitches in his throat when you lower yourself on his lap and grind against his growing bulge.
You lean down to press a short kiss against his jaw and pull back to watch his worked up expression.
“What now?” You ask with a playful smile.
“Huh...?”
“Did you just want to kiss me, Kookie?”, you tease him further. He swallows hard.
“N-no...”
“No?” You coo. “What else do you want to do, hm?”
“I want- I want to...”, he can’t seem to find the words, so you have to do it for him.
“Do you want to touch me again, baby?”. A needy groan leave a his throat.
“Y-yes...”
“Where?”, he’s blushing out of control, and bites his nether lip so hard for a moment you think he might draw blood. You release one of his wrists and run a hand down his chest.  “Use your words or noona is going to get her things and leave”
“No! Please... don’t leave... don’t-“
“Then answer me”, you hand slips under his hoodie and shirt, to find his warm skin, rippling with lean muscle. You can’t wait to strip him and cover his skin with love bites. “Where do you want to touch me, baby boy?”
“I- I want to touch your tits, suck at them...”, he admits with closed eyes. You busy yourself with trailing kisses down his neck.
“What else?”
“I want to touch your legs... “, his free hand moves to your thighs. “And your ass...”
“Is that all?”
“N-no, I... I want to touch...”, he opens his eyes, now clouded with lust and need. “I want to touch your pussy... I- I want to fuck you, noona”.
And the cute bunny surprises you again for a second time tonight. He’s bolder than you thought he’d be.
“You want to fuck me?”, You feign surprise to rile him up a bit more. “Such a dirty boy, baby”
He bites into his own lips and lets out a shaky breath.
“Noona, please...” he grips the fabric of your joggers, and the hand that’s still trapped in your hold tightens into a fist.  “I’m so into you.. I- I really really like you, y/n. Let me... please let me have you...”, his cute and desperate confession has a streak of arousal shooting through your body, right to your core.
You smirk.
“Then take me”.
He nods and raises his head to capture your lips in his again. You free his wrist and he wastes no time grabbing a handful of your ass, prompting you to grind down against him. God you are so wet, you are sure it’s already begin to leak down your pants. You slide up and down over his clothed length with ease, his hard cock providing you delicious friction.
It’s with great difficulty that you manage to break from his kiss to get rid of his yellow hoodie along with his shirt in one tug. His skin is beautiful: lithe muscle in such a sweet honey color and you can’t help yourself. You want to taste him, and so you lean forward and leave a wet kiss between his pecs, and go down from there. He sighs. You quickly make your way to his left nipple and trap his hardened bud between your lips, while you hand finds the other one and tugs at it.
Jungkook cries out, you note he’s very sensitive and wonder how well would he do with the toys you have stored back home. You keep kissing, pulling, bitting twisting to elicit more of those beautiful sounds.
You are no longer bothered with the cold as you keep grinding down on him.
“Ahh... that- that feels good...”, he manages to speak between chocked cries, and tangles his fingers into your hair. “Noona... please...”
You pull back to discard your own shirt and wink at him when you toss it aside. Jungkook lowers his gaze to your exposed breast and licks his lips in anticipation. It doesn’t take too long before you are both naked, hands all over each other. Jungkook is sucking at your nipple whilst he other is being taken care of by his hand. Your hand wraps around his throbbing length, pumping it just enough to make him shudder.
He wraps his arms around your waist and rolls you over the mattress, so that he can feel your body flushed against his. One hand traces the curve of your hips, tracing a beeline towards your core, while he used the other for support.
He uses two fingers to separate your lips, moving them up and down to coat them in your slick. You pull the hairs at his nape when he decided to slip two of them inside your heat at the same time. He moves them in and out, squelching  sounds filling the room along with your own labored breaths.
“Do you like that, noona?”
“Yes, baby... it’s feels amazing. Keep going”, you move your hips in circles trying to follow the rhythm of his hand. He makes you arch your back every time the heel of his hand brushes against your engorged clit.
He adds a third finger.
You are so ready for him, a gush of slick cover his hand and trails down between your butt cheeks. The coil of pleasure begins to tighten at the pit of your stomach with each thrust of his fingers. You need to have his dick now, or you might lose your mind.
“Jungkook...”, you call for him, but he’s too busy working you up over the edge that he doesn’t hear you. His fingers curve inside you, brushing against your most sensitive spot. He curls them again, every time white sparks of pleasure shoot through your body. His lips busy sucking a hickey on your neck. “Ahh... fuck-“
You grab him by the wrist. He raises his head to look at you.
“You need to lay back, now”, you say, out of breath. He grins, his bunny teeth showing making him look too adorable considering what he’s being doing. He nods eagerly and retreats his fingers from your pussy with a wet sound.
He positions himself on the bed, back against the mattress and you crawl up his body again.
The swollen and red head of his cock already oozing precum when you grab him to pump him a few times, before guiding his cock to your soaking entrance. However, the head just nudges past your lips when he stops you with a panicked expression.
“Wait, wait, wait!”
“Baby, what’s wrong?”
He takes a deep breath, as you sinking back to your heels. Jungkook sits straight and you examine his face, hoping to read whatever it is that made him change his mind. The red in his cheeks intensifies as he makes a poorly attempt to hide it.
“I- I don’t have condoms...”, he sounds defeated, and you can’t help but chuckle, reaching for his face to brush the fringe from his eyes. “And I’m not sure if I- if I can pull out on time”.
“I’m on the pill, Kook...”, he nods absentmindedly like doesn’t fully understand what you just said. You throw your arms around his shoulders and press your lips to the corner of his mouth.
Jungkook lets out a pleased sigh.
“Does- does that mean we can still do it?”, he asks and you align your faces together.
“Do you want to?”
He nods.
“I am, I haven’t- I mean... “ he mouths something you can’t quite understand. “I’m tested, I’m clean”
“I’m clean too”, you caress his chest and shoulders with a soft smile. You lower a hand between your bodies and circle his length. Jungkook closes his eyes and sighs his pretty face relaxing in pleasure. “Do you trust me?”
“I do”, he breathes.
You tilt your hips upwards, supporting your weight on your knees and guide his cock to your opening. The head nudges at your entrance, glistening with your mixed lubricant, and your hands come to hold his shoulders as you begin to sheath him inside of you.
You caress his chest, leaving a small peck on his lips before pushing him back on the bed. The stretch feels so good already and he’s not even fully in yet. Jungkook’s hands come to gently fondle with your breasts as you sink down completely with one thrust.
“Fuck... noona...”, Jungkook gasps as his eyes roll to the back of his head.
His thick veiny cock stretches you open, and you start moving. You keep slow pace at first, enamores with the soft sounds spilling from Jungkook’s lips as he moves his hips to meet yours. But a particular hard thrust has you clenching around him and he moans loud.
“Ahhh, shit... faster, noona... please”.
His fingers dig into the skin of your hips and he thrust up again.
He doesn’t need to ask you twice as you start to bounce up and down his cock, grinding your click against his pelvic bone every chance you get. A slapping sound every time your ass meets the seat of his lap. The bed creaks loud under the movements of your lovemaking, sure the room next door has to be empty or you would’ve heard complains by now.
Jungkook moans your name over and over, the bright flush on his sweat-covered skin tells you he’s probably close already.
“Are you going to cum for me, Kookie?”, You clench your muscles around him again, and he cries out. His breathy moans are the sexiest thing you’ve ever heard, and as you keep grinding onto him you can feel your own pleasure start to peak. But you don’t want to come yet, you want to see his pretty face when he comes firsts.
“¡Ngh...! I- Ahh...”, he swallows hard, taking a deep breath. His hands leave soft touches on your hips and move down your thighs.  “I’m really close, noona... if you keep doing that I’m-“, you clench again and his eyes go blank with pleasure. “¡F-fuck...!”
“Do you want to come inside, baby?”, you push back his fringe that’s already drenched in sweat and keep up a steady rhythm. Jungkook nods fervently in response, unable to speak properly and you lean down to kiss him. You tongue plays with his, and you suck on his lower lip before whispering to his ear. “Fill me up then, baby”.
That seems to be enough to throw him over the edge.
“Noona, fuck, fuck, fuck...¡Agh! ¡Ahhh-!” he chants, holding onto your hips with both hands to keep you still as he starts thrusting up again until his release hits him.
The coil of pleasure down your abdomen that grew even tighter watching Jungkook come undone is about to snap. The way his cock pulses between your walls sending shivers down your spine. A high pitched moan leaves Jungkook’s mouth, his eyes shut, eyebrows furrowed and his mouth hangs open. Warm stripes of semen coat your inner walls as he keeps bucking his hips to yours, and you start moving again, to help him riding out his orgasm and chasing your own.
You bite your lip when Jungkook’s thumb finds your clit. Using his own release as lubricant that’s now leaking out of you, he circles the sensitive bud before applying direct pressure with the pad of his finger. You’re almost there, almost... “Ah... Jungkookie... Like that, just like that”, Your moans join his breathy whines as he begins to feel the pain of overstimulation.
“Noona, please... ‘s too much- Ngh!”. His voice sounds ten times sexier when he begs, whining and crying for you to come all over his sensitive cock. That’s what finally makes you reach your high. White sparks of pleasure flash before your eyes as your orgasm washes over you.
You moan your lover’s name and your nails rack down his chest.
“Shit, shit... Ahh... Ngh...”
You roll your hips, riding out your orgasm until you come down completely. Jungkook is trembling under your touch. Tired and spent, he winces when you slide off his member and let yourself fall next to him in the narrow bed.
For a moment there’s only silence and the sound of your labored breaths.
You bring a hand to your forehead to wipe the cold sweat off your skin. You are suddenly aware of the room’s temperature again and a shiver runs down your spine. Jungkook notices and rolls over to wraps your in his arms before pulling the blanket over your bodies. The warmth of his body pressing against your back makes you feel so contented, more than you’d dare to admit out loud.
“That was...”, he sighs and his nose nuzzles against the crook of your neck. “I’mma ask professor Kim to give us more assignments like this”
You chuckle and turn your face around to give him a peck on the lips. He grins like a little boy.
“You are too cute for your own good”
“Only for you, noona”

Wild Child (Billy Hargrove x Reader) part 5
Hey everybody thank you all so much for your nice feedback. I originally just wrote this story for a friend and didn’t think that anybody else would give a shit about it tbh. Which is also the reason why there is no regular uploading schedule and I am super shit at this whole tagging stuff…
Tagged-list: @speedmetalqueen @charmed-asylum
Warnings: language, mention of abuse, blood, mention of drug use
„Honey, I’m home.“ you shouted dramatically as you entered the small house, kicked of your boots and walked down the hallway into the kitchen.
You had actually been surprised to see lights burning inside the house as you arrived, your uncle didn’t mention that he was going to be home for dinner. Well now you at least had someone to share that frozen lasagna with. „Woah uncle Lou what’s that smell? Did you find out about the magical effects that spices have on pre-cooked food or-? Oh…“
You stopped at the sight of your uncle sitting at the kitchen table with your next door neighbour Ms Johnson, both of them looking very caught. And what you had mistaken for a very upgraded frozen lasagne seemed to actually be a real home-cooked meal. Well….you had definitely crushed their date.
„(Y/n)….I didn’t expect you to be home this early…I met Helen uhm Ms. Johnson at the garage and she suggested to cook dinner for us.“
„Yeah no worries.“ you laughed. You knew very well that Helen and your Uncle had a thing for each other. Nobody needed their car to get fixed that often. She would also regulary pretend to check up on you to see if your uncle was home. Once you even caught her, leaving the house through the backdoor early in the morning. They were acting like teenagers which to be honest was kinda cute.
„Wait a minute..“ you began, suddely realizing something, „Why did you think I wasn’t going to be home for dinner? I only had class until 2.“
„Well…school called.“
Oh fuck. Shit shit SHIT. Of course they did. How could you be so stupid?
„Well about that….“ you began laughing nervously, „I can only say it propably wasn’t as bad as it sounds.“
„What exactly?“ your Uncle was raising his voice at this point, but no matter how hard he tried…he was really bad at this whole strict-parenting-thing, „The part where you got sent to detention for almost getting into a physical fight with a boy OR the part where you got expelled for, and I quote their words: innapropriate actions with the exact same boy.“
„Well what can I say….I might have lost my temper a bit.“
„A bit?“ he was raising his eyebrows at you.
„Yeah ok maybe a little bit more than that. But I can assure you that I’m fine again. Also, innapropriate actions sounds like we were sacrificing children. It was just…oh nevermind. I’ll leave the two of you alone now“ you smiled at him and Helen, who was visibly uncomfortable with the whole situation.
„Where do you think you’re going?“
„To the lake. To think about my mistakes and nothing else of course…maybe god will end my suffering and let me drown.“
„(Y/n)!“, your uncle moved his eyes towards Helen, indicating that she wasn’t used to that level of sarcasm, „Also don’t you think, that after being expelled from school not leaving the house would be a more fitting idea?“
„Oh come on Uncle Lou…we both know that you don’t know how to punish me for something like that. And trust me I am already punished enough since I will forever have to remember making out with the biggest dickhe- uhm jerk in town…also…don’t you think it would be better if I was gone so the two of you can continue to do whatever needed to be done before I got home?“
„Fine fine fine. Get lost you little shit.“
„As you wish, sir.“ you grinned, „Bye Helen, feel free to use the front door this time.“
„(Y/N)!..I’m sorry Helen..she is….an idiot.“
„True. It runs in the family though.“ you yelled as you grabbed your stuff and made your way towards the front door.
-
You lit a cigarette, deeply inhaling the smoke only to release it into the crisp air within seconds later.
You had always enjoyed spending time at the lake.
Especially at night, there was something very soothing about this kind of solitude.
You were the only one present, as usual. Which might have been due to the fact that it was already december and pitch black outside.
But actually people didn’t really go here anymore no matter what time of the year it was. Not since they found that body which turned out not to be Will Byers, last summer. People thought the lake had been infested with some kind of supernatural bacteria, some even claimed that it was haunted.
„Well if you’re here lake-demons. Now would be a great time to drag me into the water and let me vanish from the surface of the earth.“ you mubled while flicking a stone into the dark water, watching the circles it created on the black surface.
The sound of a car stopping and a door being slammed shut in the distance suddenly pulled you from the thoughts circling in your head. Pretty weird that someone would be out here at 9pm on a monday night. Might be Chief Hopper? He would regulary pick you up at this place, when you were trying to get away from your mom and her shitty boyfriend.
But nothing followed that noise, which left you diving deep back into your thoughts once again.
You just couldn’t understand what had happened only a few hours ago.
Why WHY would you decide to kiss that walking trashbag of a human? And why the fuck did it have to feel so damn good? Worse enough that Billy already thought of himself as the hottest shit in town…why did it have to be true?…Well only kinda. It was just a few seconds of making out, which fair enough even the biggest looser would have been capable of.
Holy shit you didn’t even want to think about what you would have done if Mr. Jenkins hadn’t stopped you…but on the other hand you had the feeling that you would think about that a lot in the next few days.
Ok you really needed to stop that. NOW.
In order to not act like some horny piece of shit anymore you decided to walk around for a bit. Sitting on the freezing stones in front of the water was getting way too cold anyway.
You moved slowly on the slippery pepple stones, your eyes trying to focus in the foggy darkness. How good that you knew this place by heart and didn’t park your car too far away. You were already pretty close to the road as your eyes catched the sight of an unfamilair figure. Looked like somebody had parked their car right here in the middle of nowhere.
Please don’t let this become the next underage make-out hotspot. Isn’t Lovers Lake enough?
There clearly was somebody sitting on the hood of the car, looking rather wasted to be honest.
„Hey is everything alright?“ you asked as you approached the dark figure.
„Yeah..everything is just great.“ even though his voice sounded exhausted and faint you realized immediately who you were talking to.
„Hargrove? Are you following me or what?“ you groaned, „Is there really not enough space in Hawkins for the two of us not to meet every other day?“
„Look (y/l/n),“ Billy began, his husky voice sounding even weaker than before, „I appreciate your overall dedication to being an annoying bitch 24/7 but please, not now. Leave me the fuck alone.“
This made you very suspicious. „You sure you’re alright?“ you moved a few steps closer towards him „Holy shit dude what happened to your face?“.
It wasn’t a secret that Billy would regulary get into fights, but he would usually emerge from those as the winner. But today? The whole left side of his face was bruised, blood dripping from his eyebrow and the corner of his mouth.
He quickly faced away from you, wiping his palms across his face. „I said go away. Everything is fine.“ he growled, his voice now almost back to it’s usual low thick sound.
„I would believe you if your face didn’t look like it was hit by a fucking truck. And trust me I don’t like you enough to pretend that I care. But you look rough.“
„Well you seem to like me enough to not leave me alone.“ Billy taunted you with a grin on his face which quickly turned into a painful groan.
„Alright that’s enough let me see that.“ You took a seat next to him, carefully touching his jaw, turning his head towards you. He flinched as your fingers moved across his black and blue cheek. „Doesn’t seem to be broken..but still…who did that? Did you screw somebody’s girlfriend?“
„Doesn’t matter.“ Billy mumbled, trying to avoid eye contact.
„Well I’m not a big fan of the cops but don’t you think your parents will call them when they see you like that?“
„Nope.“
„..or maybe at least want to know what happened?“ you continued.
„Nope.“
“..or wanna know who did that?”
“Nope.” Billy seemed to be getting more and more fed up with you at this point.
„Well can you at least tell me then?“
„YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENED?“ Billy suddenly facing towards you, screaming at the top of his lungs, made you jump a little, „I GOT EXPELLED FROM SCHOOL BECAUSE OF SOME STUPID BITCH AND THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FOR NOT BEHAVING AT MY HOUSE! AND NO THEY WON’T CARE WHO DID THAT BECAUSE THEY ALREADY KNOW!“
Billy was looking furious, breathing heavily, his whole body shaking with anger. His breath created little clouds in the cold december air and you thought that you could see tears shimmering in his piercing blue eyes before he turned away from you again, smashing the hood of his car, screaming with anger as he jumped onto his feet.
„Fuck…I’m sorry…I didn’t know.“ „Oh really? Thought you knew absolutely everything about me and how much of an asshole I am.“ Billy growled, still facing his back towards you as he lit a cigarette.
Yeah you deserved that one.
„Well I seem to be just as big of an asshole at this point.“ you mumbled as you reached into your pocket, „Here…guess you need that more than me.“ without waiting for a response you placed the joint from your pocket inside Billy’s left hand. He looked up to you slightly confused. „For the pain…if you need anything else..my Uncle’s secret girlfriend is a nurse. I’m sure I could get you some harder drugs.“
“Thanks…but please (y/l/n) leave me alone now.” the curly haired boy’s voice was back to that faint husky state from before, his body still visibly shaking.
“Yeah whatever I was just trying to be nice.” you mumbled not really knowing what to do. You really didn’t like him enough to be any more supportive than gifting him your last bit of weed.
“I don’t need you to be nice to me.”
“Don’t be such a bitch, Hargrove.”
„Leave me alone. And don’t even think about being nice to me just because you feel sorry for me.“ Billy snapped, pushing you aside as he walked back to his car and drove off into the night.
What a dramatic bitch.

Me and the bois really do be making Discordius Romance huh
Shout out to @hellishwoods for helping create the greatest story of all time!
under a read more because this bitch thicc as fuck!
On an average Wednesday morning, an unholy screech of "MY WATERS BROKEN!" pierces the veil of sleep between two normal people. Chatter gets out of bed, going to his wife's side, putting his hand down on her shoulder, looking past her huge badonkers to her belly. "HONEY DON'T WORRY, CAN YOU MAKE IT TO THE CAR?!" he yells. Chattette nods. They hobble over to the car, the overnight bag already in the back, towels on the seats. "HOLD ON HONEY!" Chatter yells to his wife as they hit a pothole, while on the main road. Chatette screams, and places one hand on her stomach. "CAN'T YOU GO ANY FASTER?" "HONEY I'M TRYING OKAY?! ITS GONNA BE FINE!!" Chatter screams slightly hysterical. He sees the car of his old highschool rival, Trae, a little bit behind him. He doesn't know why he noticed. He keeps driving.
Trae glances up, out of his fire-engine red, jacked up Ford Fusion, and spots Chatter. He nearly smiles, but stops when the high-pitched shriek meets his ears. He frowns.  Back to Chattette, She looks down. From her perspective, you can't see anything past huge badonkers + her belly, but let's imagine. Chatette sees the fact that she forgot shoes. She can't show off Prada at the hospital now! Chattette is very pissed at this. Maybe Chatter at least packed her gold Gucci slides? Either way, Trae's dick went into this kid, so Chatter wouldn't be useful anymore. Hell, Trae didn't even know about Chatter either. Chat is too busy behind the wheel to notice Trae's look at him or his wife, but if he did, that wouldn't be good. He sure doesn't notice his wife's glance at him. Hopefully the kid looks like Chattette, right?
Hell, he only called her his wife. Truth is, she said she didn't wanna get tied down. He respected that, but it threw him off a bit. Still, the pregnancy held them together. They arrived to the emergency ward, Nurses rushing to meet them. Chattette notices Trae pull up in the parking lot as she is taken into emergency care. Chatter is just worried.
Trae opens the door and hops out of his car, nearly spraining his ankle from jumping from that high up. You should have used the foot stool meant for that purpose. He walks into the hospital after the couple goes in. Only family can get in the hospital room, but ……. well, he is. Chatter finally notices Trae. Chattette has as much of an evil smirk as she can manage in this much pain. "Uh, Trae? Why are you here?"
"Uh, because I'm the father of Chattette's child? What are YOU doing here?"
"Same reason, apparently?"
The child.... looks nearly identical to Trae. The only thing stopping it is the heterochromia- One of Trae's brown eyes, and one of Chatette's blue ones.
they both, in unison, stop talking and spin around as a child's cry pierces the air.
Chatter sees this and blinks. He slowly starts sobbing.
"Chattette, what... What the fuck?"
"Chatter wait!" Trae yells, but it's too late as Chatter runs out of the hospital and into his car. Chattette is grinning all the while with her new child, Sharon, while a nurse grumbles angrily about "third time this week" and "stupid fucking kids, ruining their relationships."
Chatter doesn't know what to do. He decides to head to arbys. eat his heart out and try and find out whether he and Trae can sort it out.
The nurse is so tired that they just leave. There's security cameras, if it gets bad then we'll know who started it, I guess. Trae turns to Chatette, and what is obviously his kid.
"You cheated on me?!" He exclaims, angry but also mildly relieved.
"Actually, I cheated on Chatter, but what's the point? you're still stuck with me, or everyone will know what you are hun! No give me a kiss before the doctors get concerned, 'kay?"
'conceited bitch' He thinks to himself.
"No."
"WHAT was that, hunny? You going to go be homosexual with my ex?  You know I will tell them~~"
"I don't care. You fucking disgust me. Good luck on your own, Chattette." Trae walks out, on the verge of tears. Chattette was cheating on two men, just to hold them both down? Fuck it, tomorrow he's going full College homo. But first, Arbys.
Chat, at Arbys, has the desire to eat one of everything, but decides that maybe some soda, a burger, and some curly fries is a good start. He sits in a window booth, and then glances up. Like he's in a music video, the window reflects back to him his sad, crumpled face. His eyes are kinda watery. He's pretty glad he didn't marry Chattette after all. So much for a family though. He crams some fries into his burger. Luckily for him he guesses, at least Chattette won't get on his back for eating meat anymore. Maybe he can even go wear his leather jacket again! Still, he's probably gonna have to deal with Trae soon. Then, Comically, Trae walks through the door.
If I could play a laugh track, I would. But nobody's smiling, except for those happy families. The workers aren't, and Trae goes up to get some food. Nice- He gets a milkshake. He is on a slightly healthier diet, so this is a slight reward for him. He sits in the booth parallel to Chatter. He doesn't realise it, but he says "Damn that bitch" out loud in his husky accent.
Chatter hears him. "Trae, dude?". Chat moves parallel to him. "What the fuck happened back there with my... What happened with Chattette?" Chatter brings his food along with him. Is this a date? Chatter's lips purse as he looks back to Trae. He waits for Trae to explain.
Trae feel the need to say one thing. "I only did it for my safety. I'm fucking gay."
".......So that explains the booty shorts on valentines day!" Trae nearly smiled. Those were some comfy booty shorts, and very gay. He stopped it though, taking a bite of his order. Chatter made a weird face halfway in - between a smile and a :| .
"I still fit mine." Chatter admits this much.
Trae is slightly concerned with how much he blushes at both the acceptance and also the vision of Chat in those sexy booty shorts. "Same here, I still have a tonne of em. I could've gotten married in em!"
"then again, it's only been two years!"
"I guess you're right."
The conversation turns awkward. Awe, no. By coincidence, a kid zooms by. He stops, and makes a truck noise as he stops by the table. With wide, curious eyes- he asks very bluntly: "Are you two gay?"
Chat points at himself "I think?!" They look at eachother. "yes"
"yes" They both said, finally.  The kid slams a toy down on the table- a rainbow mcdonalds toy, and zooms off. look at him go-
"Uh." Chatter starts something, then stops.
Trae, ever the top in the relationship, picks it up again. He rubs his neck. "Do you wanna maybe... get outta here?"
"we can head back to mine if you want, gonna have to move Cheater C's shit out anyway. I know her dad'll take care or the rest anyway." He's blushing slightly. He makes that head movement of 'c'mon lessgo' towards the exit, and they both head toward their respective vehicles.
"WAIT! PHONE NUMBER?!" Chat yells quickly
Trae yells his phone number over to Chat, who saves his contact with a heart and a question mark. He blocks Chattette while he's at it.
"Just follow me to my place, we're only ten mins away!" he yells over. He hops into his car and revs the engine. Then the two lads hit the road. As soon as they get home, Chatter calls a locksmith over- replacing the two locks in all the doors, so Chatette can't get in. He gets a master key, and bit his tongue as he got another one. Who knows.... Chatter starts to pull out some trash bags, putting Cheater Chattette's .. everything in their boxes, into the bags. Man, she has a lot of shit.
"wait should i delete her island on animal crossing?"
"DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT"
She won't be getting that back any time soon.  He moves on to the baby room. What USED to be the guest room.
"Uh Trae, we have a problem. There's only one bed in the house. You fine with taking the bed?"
Trae shrugs. "I can take the couch. By the way- random question , what's your favorite movie?"
Chatter only frowns. "Megamind, and you're taking the bed, it's horrible for your posture. You- you have an excellent bo- SPINE, and mine's just really messed up. I'll take the couch."
Trae sighs. "As soon as you fall asleep on the couch, I'm moving you to the bed."
They both stop. >:| is on both of their faces.
"Megamind is also my favorite movie though. Do you want to watch it on the couch before we fight about this some more?" He has a small smile on his face, and they go to do that.  One bag of m&ms later, they're .. really close on the couch. They make offhand comments through the film, one of which from Chatter is 'Chattette would never have done this with me...' Trae looks at him out of the corner of his eyes, and holds his hand under the blanket.
Chat blushes slightly, smiling gently. He leans closer to Trae, ""Just for warmth"" he tells himself. The movie is coming towards a good bit. However, it seems Trae had fallen asleep. Chatter poked him a bit before giving up. He just snuggled closer and smiled, cramming his face full of m&ms. Chat snuggles deeper into the cuddle, and Trae moves slightly in his sleep. Waking up slightly, he notices the pressure on him and looks down. Very gently, he puts his arm around Chat. He drifts back off to sleep, not before whispering a little something.
"How glad I am that I never gave up on you, Chatter."

[jaydick] Before That, And Colder
Chapter Three
Previous Chapter
AO3
A large mirror — a looking glass — or so it seemed to me — now stood where it had not been before. As I walked toward it in terror I saw my own form, all spotted with blood, its face white, advancing to meet me with a weak and uncertain step.
Four knocks sound at the door, quick and heavy, impatient: Suzie Su. Jason glances up from his book, a collection of Poe’s works mailed to him from Wayne Enterprises, Office of Bruce Wayne, C.E.O. It’s no library book — an expensive collectible, probably, judging by the silver-edged pages, embossed cover, and massive size. Jason is more tolerable of this gift, however, compared to the first edition volumes of Great Expectations sitting in a box in his bedroom closet. Sometimes he has the urge to bring them outside, douse them in kerosene, and roast marshmallows over them. He once got as far as unearthing the box and running his hand gently over the topmost volume, registering its rough texture beneath his weathered palm, before he lost his momentum and tucked the box away again.
“What is it?” he calls out. The doorknob jiggles. “It’s locked,” he drawls, tipping his chair back a little with his toes. Upside down, he looks out the wall-to-wall windows behind him. The final dredges of sunlight bruise the Atlantic Ocean purple.
Suzie Su kicks the door futilely. “No kidding,” she gripes.
Jason sits back upright. He shifts the paperweight off his open book, moves to close it, and is promptly reminded of the photos spread across the desk. They’re why he had begun reading. He had grabbed a book off his shelf and slammed it down, burying the bodies. Now, dead boys stare up at him, their dark hair rusted with blood and their hollow bones crunched. They look like crows, like a murder, infused with tragedy and beating broken wings.
“What do you want?” he asks roughly, eyes transfixed but mouth still — as always, he knows — moving ahead of him. He needs to get these out of his sight or he’ll lose his mind.
“Well, it’s not a social call,” replies Suzie Su.
“Be right there,” promises Jason. He shoves the photos into the book, crushing his doppelgangers between the final pages of William Wilson. Then he bats the book away, towards the corner of his desk for later.
Jason unlocks and opens the door to reveal Suzie Su in a plain, button-down shirt damp with sweat. It pools beneath her pits like dolphin fins halfway down her sides. He raises an eyebrow. “What, no little black dress?”
“You don’t pay me to be beautiful, ass,” says Suzie Su, brushing past Jason into his office.
“Shit, am I supposed to be paying you?” he jokes, watching her over his shoulder. He’s about to follow when James darkens his doorway next. James is less sweaty but sporting a badly busted lip. Of course, the interesting part is the man he’s got wrapped in his arms with a potato sack over his head.
Jason spreads his palms in delight. “Oh, good, you’ve found someone for the internship,” he says with cheer. He cocks his head to check around James’ hulking form. “Any other incapacitated applicants? No?” He sighs and shakes his head remorsefully. “Low turnout.”
James just stares at him, unamused. Probably sour over the punch Potato Sack got in. “Let me in, please,” he says. Jason courteously steps aside, closing the door behind him. James immediately releases Potato Sack, who sags to his knees and leans against James’ leg for half a second before regaining his balance. He’s more conscious than Jason would have thought for a bound and gagged kidnap victim.
Jason points at him. “Who’s the fool? He just come from the county fair’s three-legged race?” he inquires. Potato Sack is dressed nicely; his outfit is a tad disheveled, but there’s no blood or sweat on him, at least not from the neck down. His peachy pocket square is halfway out his paisley blazer. The cuffs are folded to his elbows, exposing muscular, nicely tanned forearms.
Suzie Su flops into one of Jason’s chairs, the white leather one with too much cushion. “The sack came straight out of Big Guy’s car. I don’t even know,” she remarks. She sounds tired despite being uninjured, like she might’ve chased Potato Sack all the way here.
Jason contemplates making a Karate Kid reference, something about chasing chickens, when James chimes in. “We can’t have suspicious figures knowing where your office is,” he justifies. “Especially right now with the — photographs,” he finishes, visibly uncomfortable.
Jason shrugs and shakes his head in amused mystification. “A suspicious figure?” he repeats, making a “so what?” gesture with his hand. “Is that all he is?”
James grimaces. “Not all. He’s weirdly… agile. Freakishly quick.”
Suzie Su laughs, a husky and wheezing sound in her current state. “Agile is right. He pirouetted James right in the face.” Pirouette, Jason thinks. The word spins into his mind, a flurry of movement, and then neatly halts on a striking thought. Jason turns his attention to the well-dressed man on his knees.
Meanwhile, James is sending Suzie Su a glare across the room. “It was a roundhouse kick,” he corrects as if the name affords him more dignity. “Just a really spinny one. I don’t think he was actually even on the ground — ”
Impatient, Jason rips the sack off the man’s head. His jaw clenches so tightly he’s aware of the ache. Dick is noticeably unharmed, except for perhaps a small patch of dirt accentuating his sharp right cheekbone. His hair is in disarray, silky strands breaking from what once must have been perfectly molded curls to fall smoothly into his alert blue eyes. He looks more like a pampered socialite returning from a joyride with the windows down than a hostage. Dick blows a rich black lock of hair out of his eyes and gives a toothy grin that positively dazzles. “Hiya, Hood. Fancy seeing you here,” he greets and, for added impertinence, he even winks at Jason.
Claustrophobia looms over Jason’s back like an invisible but palpable enemy, breathing down his neck, crowding him against Dick and Bruce and Tim. He never should have contacted Tim, this was the respect they showed, the audacity. He has a flash of himself yanking Dick up by the throat and dangling him out a window, letting him drop to the icy ocean. Then he sees Dick’s golden face turn cold, eyes white and face pale, and the horrifying vision is gone just as fast.
“Everybody out,” Jason orders. He feels stiff, his spine stiff, his voice stiff. He’s still staring at Dick, the smiling piece of work. Suzie Su stands up and lumbers towards the door, but James lingers.
“Is he one of your, you know,” James starts out. He brings his fingers to his head and Jason knows he’s about to form little bat ears, but fortunately, James drops his hands to his side instead. James swallows dryly. “I’ll be outside.”
“Yeah, way outside,” Jason agrees sharply. “Outside the casino, if you can.”
Dick watches the two of them with glass-blown eyes. He smiles cheekily at James and says, “Maybe you can keep an eye on the parking lot, make sure no one touches Hood’s bike.”
James narrows his eyes at Dick but says nothing more. He turns around and stalks out the door, trailing after Suzie Su. “The door, ” Jason adds, mildly amused when James grabs the doorknob and slams the door shut. “Touchy,” Jason tuts.
Dick springs to his feet and begins undoing the knot around his wrists. Jason just barely resists shoving him back to the floor. “What the hell, Dick!” he shouts. “What happened to the fucking parking lot!” he demands, waving his arms.
Dick’s wrists come free, the rope falling to his feet in one final and fluid motion. “I got lost,” Dick says. He smoothes out his shirt, which draws Jason’s eyes properly to how the pink highlights the rosy warmth of his skin tone. He looks good.
“Oh, my god,” Jason mutters, turning away from Dick and pinching the bridge of his nose. There’s tension building there, a volcanic tension Jason is always pushing down, keeping dormant. Stupid, stupid, letting the Bat in. He can only blame himself because if he blames Dick he’s going to go on a rampage, and anyway, holding the bats accountable has never worked for him before.
“You know what,” he says after a moment wherein Dick wisely stays silent, “it’s my fault,” he informs, holding his palms up in surrender. “I, despite many opportunities to learn from my mistakes, entrusted your hegemonistic troupe with private information and somehow expected you to respect my rules.” Jason holds a hand over his heart and leans forward in apology, causing Dick to have to tilt his chin slightly upward. Jason stares intently at him, going for venomous sincerity as he says, “This is on me for thinking what I said matters to any of you psychos.”
Jason watches Dick blink owlishly at him. He’s still in Dick’s space, waiting for a response, when finally Dick smiles and pats him on the shoulder. “Woo!” he says, wiping his forehead, “Glad we got that over with! Very mature of you, Hood,” he chirps, stepping around Jason. Jason imagines grabbing him by the neck and holding him in place, pinning him still like one might do to a butterfly that lingers too long for safety. Jason does not do that.
Dick begins rooting through his desk, wiggling drawers to find they’re locked and checking beneath his Poe book like he’s in a clue game. Jason can’t help but release a weary sigh. Jason begins, “Would rather you just let me die, if we’re being hon — ”
“By the way, what you say does matter,” Dick abruptly interjects, looking up from another locked drawer to stare Jason down. Dick’s hair has fallen into his eyes again, providing a thin buffer between their gazes. Jason awkwardly shifts his weight and suspects, with some bitterness, that the terms of the mission have just switched hands. Then Dick is pushing his bangs out of his face and wrestling his curls out of their mold. “It’s just that your life matters more,” he explains, and the whole line is just so nonchalantly sentimental, so easily spoken, that Jason wants to throw them both out a window. At least Dick has stopped staring at him, and he looks like slightly less of a prick now that his hair is closer to its naturally relaxed wave.
“The curls make you look gay,” Jason informs, trying not to pout like he’s sixteen again and Nightwing is refusing to partner up with him on a case.
Dick smirks. “Those who live in glass casinos, Jay,” he retorts. “Feel like unlocking any of these for me?” he asks.
Jason crosses his arms. “Not particularly, no,” he replies, shaking his head.
Dick twists his lips in irritation before, apparently, moving on, expression blasé. “That’s fine,” he dismisses. “What’s not fine is that security of yours,” he adds, unimpressed, as he scoops the Poe collection into his hands. Jason’s heart seizes in his chest.
“Hey!” he protests, marching towards Dick and reaching for the book. Dick’s shoulder cuts between them, blocking Jason off.
“Your bruisers couldn’t land a real hit on me — and they just take me to you without, apparently, informing you ahead of time?” Dick criticizes. He’s sifting through the silvery pages now, fanning them with his thumb. “What if I had been your stalker? What then? They deliver me unto you where I’m free to shoot you point-blank?”
Stalker, Jason thinks, is a tad dramatic. “What, they didn’t pat you down?” he asks, already knowing they did. James is too paranoid not to and Suzie Su knows who lines her pockets.
Dick purses his lips unhappily. The overall effect is charming against Jason’s will; it’s a beautiful mouth, full and fair, and easily admired when idle. But then his lips are framing around words, as they frequently are, and Jason has to focus. “Well, technically, yes, they checked me for weapons,” Dick admits. He holds a finger up and points at Jason’s chest. “But there are other ways of killing you.”
Jason pats his chest and then holds out his arms like wings. “And yet I am not dead. Security seems just fine to me.”
Dick’s expression sobers. Jason can barely keep up with Dick’s emotive face, the ups and downs of his duel humor and sincerity. “You’re not dead because there’s been no attempt. You’re the endgame and these boys are just,” language fails Dick here.
“Pit stops?” Jason offers, raising both his eyebrows. Dick clearly doesn’t appreciate his word choice, because his brows knit and he turns his fine cheek further away from Jason. He wants to keep pushing, though, so he says, “How about appetizers?”
Dick has reached the end of the book, but before Jason can feel relief, he starts fanning the pages again. “Sure,” Dick concedes, albeit moodily.
Jason leans against his deck and watches Dick flip through. He considers ripping the book out of his hands, but he doesn’t know if it’s worth the trouble, so he holds back and drums his fingers against the edge of the table, letting his anxiety bleed out through his tips.
“Appetizer makes sense,” Jason proposes. “Sociopath like him, he likes to whet his hunger when he can, but he’ll never be full,” he explains, almost absently, his mind drifting away from the office and towards the ocean facing him, and across that ocean, too, all the way to his return to Gotham. He remembers his own hunger.
He hears Dick slap a page down. Jason doesn’t bother looking; he knows Dick found the photographs. A tiny sigh escapes from Dick beside him. Jason glances at him from the corner of his eye, sees Dick tapping his fingers against a face, communing with some boy’s preserved pain. Jason looks away.
“Except he’s not ‘whetting’ anything,” Dick says. “These kids aren’t for his benefit. They’re for yours.”
“None of these kids died,” offers Jason, partly as an agreement with Dick’s point, partly just to remind himself. They’re all alive. They’re breathing. They didn’t lose everything.
Dick hikes himself up on the desk and sets the book down in his lap, legs pretzeled. The white slacks curve keenly around his thighs. “Makes sense for a reenactment, which the assailant’s going for. You didn’t die, after all.”
Jason’s jaw flexes. “I did.”
Dick does not respond, which Jason is grateful for. Having the photos open, their bodies inspected while he stands off to the side, is such a keen breach of privacy. He feels it like a direct violation, yet he knows better than to snatch the evidence from Dick’s hands. Dick always comes bounding back after a rebuttal, Exhibit A: this whole thing. The only way Dick would be gentler is if he needed to be, and Jason refuses to give him a reason.
After a minute, Dick breaches the silence. “Full discretion?” he says.
Jason hangs his head and braces himself. He’s never noticed before, but there are tiny fishes painted onto the ceiling. “Yeah?” he asks, figuring Dick is seeking permission, or whatever.
“I watched the tapes.”
That gets Jason’s attention. He faces Dick whose fingers rest on the open pages, whose brow is furrowed in what must be guilt or nervousness. Jason opens his mouth, closes it, and then shakes his head. “What tapes, Dick?”
Dick taps his index finger on the first kid: Terry Weind. The name he learned from a news report the same day his picture was stuck to his bike. No pictures were released to the public, but Vale spared few details in her verbal description. Jason didn’t have to do much digging for the boy’s identity. He had shown up at the hospital with flowers, telling Terry’s mother that he was just a concerned citizen. He also told her that Gotham’s heart went out to her son, that there was a community right outside that hospital room, even if it felt the only souls around were her and her son’s. He hopes she believes it better than he does.
“B has had Park Row Memorial recorded around the clock for years. He has — every one of the attacks on camera. We watched them while he was prepping me for this case.” Dick says this like it’s a confession and Jason has the power to pardon him.
Jason nearly scoffs. “Yeah, well, it’s your job,” he says instead. If he was stronger, Jason would hold this breach of privacy against him. He would take advantage of the one aspect in all of this that Dick appears penitent for. He should be sorry. Dick got to watch not just three kids brutally beaten, exploited helplessly, he got to watch Jason. Jason had to experience his death completely alone and now he had to experience it again on a stage. Neither Bruce nor Dick were there for him as partners, but they are here as an audience. Jason’s grave has been violated by more than just a hooded figure in an alleyway, but Jason does not have the energy to be judge, jury, and executioner. He doesn’t have the energy to give Dick what he wants.
“So, what’s the plan?” asks Jason, propping his elbows on the desk. Dick doesn’t answer, so Jason says, “You must have one since you went to all the trouble of getting James to deliver you personally to my office like a sack of potatoes.”
“Who keeps a potato sack on them, by the way?” Dick asks. Jason shrugs. “That’s just weird,” Dick comments.
“Yeah, he’s kind of weird,” Jason agrees. “But so is everyone in your corner. Those who live in glass batcaves should not throw batarangs?” he asks, irony lacing his words.
“Wingdings, actually,” Dick corrects, which reminds Jason of the Microsoft font and he wonders if Dick’s stupidity is contagious. He’d hate to start calling his guns ‘bat-barrels’ or ‘Times New Hoodlum.’ “Also, the plan might just take place in the aforementioned glass house,” Dick adds.
Jason shakes his head. “You’ve lost me.”
Dick sighs, the perfect picture of put-upon. Jason knows where this is headed: he’s the unreasonable one here, somehow, despite arriving by car like a normal person instead of on a suspicious person list. “Your hired muscle isn’t the best,” Dick begins with an insult, so Jason knows it’s going downhill from here. “Bunker’s observational skills are decent, but not up to par. Your ‘James’ is sloppy. And the, uh,” Dick licks his lips here, “ lady — insulted you about five times between the budget interrogation and the bumpy ride to your office. Wherever her loyalties lie, they’re not with you.”
Jason groans dramatically and pushes off his desk. He reclaims his book from Dick’s lap, closing it shut and walking towards the whale-shaped bookshelf mounted on a non-windowed wall. “Su’s loyalties lie with her money, and her money lies with me,” Jason refutes. He gently slides the book between a copy of The Orphan Master’s Son and Hamlet. “You tell me where a man gets his corn-pone, and I’ll tell you what his opinions are. Mark Twain,” Jason cites.
Dick watches him from his seat on the desk. His lips are pressed in wry amusement, although the amusement may be wishful thinking on Jason’s part. He’d like to say he put something on Dick’s lips, and humor is good enough. “Yes,” says Dick flatly, “that sounds familiar, thank you. But money only goes so far when another pocket reaches farther. Me, telling you she’s bad news,” he cites himself.
“Alright, fine,” Jason says, shoving his hands in his jacket pockets. He moves them so his jacket fans out in a textile shrug. “Tell me then — Suzie Su the figure you caught on tape? I assume it’s only a figure and not a clear profile since you’re sitting on my desk like it’s your college dorm bed and not out there apprehending my so-called stalker.”
“So-called because they are stalking you, Jason,” Dick says gravely.
“Thanks for the clarity, dickhead, the situation could’ve been really lost on me. Almost forgot I’m the Case of the Month.”
“Sorry,” says Dick, wincing.
“Ugh,” Jason says, hanging his head back with the burden of Dick’s personality. The confession-booth sincerity might be ingratiating if Dick wasn’t as oppressively righteous as an Elf on the Shelf.
“And no,” Dick resumes, “the figure is definitely not Suzie Su. Average height, it looks like, although he’s — bent, most of the time, so it’s guesswork. His frame is neither slim nor broad.”
Jason laughs. “Really? That’s the best you got? Not tall, not short, not big, not small?”
“Well, he’s wearing a hoodie, which obscures a lot of their physique,” explains Dick. He raises his eyebrows then, a questioning movement, and glances out the windows. The room has crisped to an orange color without Jason noticing. In a few minutes, the sunlight will be directly in Dick’s eyes, and then shortly afterward night will fall. “Specifically, he was wearing loose-fitting denim jeans, black combat boots, and a red pull-over with the hood up,” Dick describes.
The last revelation pulls a clownish ribbon of laughter from Jason. It’s a nervous one, which must be obvious to Dick, but he can’t help it. The laugh bubbles in his chest, acidic, and pops on his tongue with acerbic heat. “I bet,” is all he says.
Dick musters a half-smile and says, “Points for theme?”
Jason snorts. “Yeah, sure, he can get all the points for theme. But why?” he asks. “What the hell is this theme? He’s dressed himself like me to kill me. Am I killing myself? Is that the idea? Is he saying it was all my fault, that I got myself killed?”
Jason envisions himself as he is now, face veiled in red, bring metal down on Robin. The warehouse builds itself around the nightmare, boxes stacking atop boxes, men milling about indifferently, and then running out. Except that it’s not the warehouse, it’s Crime Alley, and the walls collapse revealing narrow city streets. The Joker falls away and Batman stands in his place. Jason looks down, expecting a bloody crowbar, but he holds in his grip a simple, slightly rusted tire iron. Both are red though, in the end, aren’t they?
Jason flexes his empty fingers. The floor beneath him is plush, white carpet that’s been bleached more times than he can count. “Why Park Row?” he asks.
Dick’s voice is muted, almost hesitant, actually, or perhaps just attempting to hush and soothe. “It could be coincidence. Park Row is conveniently vacant, especially at night, and he wouldn’t know there were cameras watching,” Dick speculates. He approaches the next possibility more tentatively. “Or he might know what Park Row means to you, to Robin. He could even be showing off how much he knows.”
Jason blanches. “He knows a fucking lot then.”
Dick does inventory: “If Park Row is coincidental, he wouldn’t necessarily know you as Jason Todd. He would just know that the Red Hood was Robin and that the Joker killed — ”
Jason cuts him off. “With a crowbar, he got it to the exact weapon .”
The weapon troubles Dick as well, Jason can track the rumination on his face. The crowbar is specific, purposeful, and not common knowledge. The details of Jason Todd’s untimely death were not released to the public — and as far as his other identity went, Robins may change but they don’t die. “Bruce has a theory about that,” Dick shares.
“Oh, yeah?” Jason asks. He can’t keep the sarcasm from entering his voice. Rationally, he knows Bruce can help him and that’s why he’s willing to work with him. But also, what aspect of Jason’s life hasn’t Bruce analyzed through a microscope, poured into a beaker to see if it would blow up, and uploaded for his future reference? What aspect of any of their lives has Bruce not thought through for them?
“Joker, or someone who worked with him that day,” Dick supplies. “They would know about the crowbar, and if it’s the Joker, he makes almost everything Batman does his business, he might even know about the cameras. He could be taunting B by making him watch.”
What a theory it is, too. Jason starts laughing until Dick trails off and asks, “What’s so funny?”
“Sorry, sorry,” Jason says, holding up his hands in mock apology. He pretends to wipe away a tear. “That is just some crazy narcissistic bullshit. I’m getting the photos of these mutilated kids and he’s the reason why?”
Dick must know Jason has a point because he flounders briefly before restarting. “Maybe not the reason, but logically Batman is connected. I know it doesn’t feel, I don’t know, satisfying, but it’s the only plausible theory so far. The Joker’s games almost always lead back to him. He used you to get at Batman, it’s at least worth considering how Bruce might factor into — ”
Jason holds up a hand to shut Dick up before he loses his patience. “So, none of this is about me?”
Dick’s expression turns confused. “That’s not what I’m saying. I know this is about you.”
“But my death wasn’t,” Jason practically spits. He shrugs, tries to play this casually, but he wants to upend the desk Dick is still sitting on. He’s overcome with the suspicion that everything in this room is a prop to Dick, a piece to a gameboard he’s playing with Bruce alone. The both of them are entitled to waltz in with some half-baked disguise, lounge on his furniture, look through his books, watch his death over and over again. Jason himself is just another clue.
“You can say it,” Jason encourages, “I died for Bruce. It was never about me, it was always his war and I,” Jason pauses for the right words and when they arrive, the anger building up in him blows away. “I was just a good soldier.”
Dick’s eyes don’t sharpen with recognition; they cloud over with it. Jason repeats the plaque’s inscription in the Batcave: A good soldier. It shines, encased in gold, commemorating Jason’s death while in defiance of his life. Here, in this conversation, it is soaked in venom. Jason doesn’t mean it as an attack; nonetheless, Dick shifts physically away as if to hide the bite mark.
Jason takes a fortifying breath. This isn’t where the conversation is going, he vows. “This isn’t the Joker and this isn’t Batman’s case,” he says steadily enough. Dick has slid from the desk and finally stands, his gaze level with Jason’s. Jason gestures broadly, indicating everything around them that Jason has built for himself the past few years. “ This isn’t Bruce’s life and I’m not about to give him mine again.”
Jason thinks he’s made his point. He just wishes Dick didn’t look like he had slapped him. “No one expects that,” he assures before amending with a tiny frown, “I don’t expect that. I won’t speak for Bruce.”
“That’ll be a first,” Jason replies wryly.
Dick actually laughs, kind of, more of a huff but it’s not without humor. “That’s fair, I suppose. I know everyone thinks I’m his champion, but I try to support everyone in our bat-themed infantry. Family, or so I like to call it. I defend you, too, Jay. I hope you know that. I guess he just seems to need me in his corner the most. Or maybe his corner is where I’m used to being, I don’t know, either way — it was just his theory and I thought it was worth sticking to the wall.”
Jason’s impulse is to criticize half of what Dick just said, but he leaves it be. Dick may be here for Bruce, but more importantly, they’re both here for the case. “I get it. But it’s a theory for Batman, not for Red Hood. I know Bruce is already halfway to commandeering the case and you’re here as a favor to him because we infamously don’t get along, but if you’re going to work with me, you gotta respect what I’ve got going on. Because whoever this person is, they’re not going to all this effort over the Joker or Batman. I’m not a soldier caught in their crossfire this time around. They know me as Robin and as Red Hood. This is very, very personal.”
Dick’s eyes drift to Jason’s bookshelf. He’s thinking of the pictures and how these kids were hurt because of Jason. Jason is, too. Dick folds himself across his chest and nods. “You’re right, you’re right. This is your case.” When Dick looks back at him, his face is intense. “I am here for you, not him. Well, I’d like to think we’re all in this together and so in a way I’m here for both of you, but. I don’t see this as a favor to him. Just so we’re clear.”
Jason breaks their gaze before he can accidentally believe him. When Jason became Robin, Dick avoided him because he was upset with Bruce. When Jason became Red Hood, Dick chased after him because he wanted to help Bruce. And when Dick faked his own death and told Jason nothing, it was because of Bruce. Why Dick wants to expand their relationship now is beyond him, but he’ll take help where he can get it.
Besides, he does like the idea of Dick leaving Bruce’s corner for his. If Jason plays his cards right, Bruce’s plan for a middleman could backfire with Dick not apprising him of every time Jason’s nose twitches. Even Dick can’t resist a mission in Gotham without the Bat breathing down his neck.
“Good,” Jason finally says after moments of Dick patiently awaiting the reception of his little olive branch. “Well, if it’s not a favor to him, then you won’t care that one of my caveats is keeping B on a strict need-to-know basis.”
Dick furrows his brow. “Define ‘need-to-know.’”
“Uhh, unless I say, ‘hey, Bruce needs to know this,’ he doesn’t need to know this.”
“Bruce is a good resource, Jay,” Dick insists. “You’re important to him, believe it or not, he’ll want to know everything is developing safely and efficiently.”
Jason cocks his head left and right like an unbalanced scale. “Yeah, well, I don’t want what he wants and it’s my case.”
Dick purses his lips thoughtfully. His forehead relaxes as does so, and it occurs to Jason that Dick is actually quite expressive. He can see the reluctance fall off his face, track the movement of thoughts across his gray-blue eyes. It’s strange to think that this man with all these open emotions and mercurial playfulness was raised by Bruce and his shadows. “Okay,” Dick eventually says, somewhat pensively, “what do you want?”
It’s an honest question, not rhetorical in the slightest, and that catches Jason off guard. He isn’t equipped to answer it. Jason knows what he doesn’t want, but that’s easier. He’s learned not to want things. He remembers wanting immensely in the life before this one. Jason is more careful now. If he was reckless, he would say he wants Dick here. He likes that Dick has all but literally chased him down to give him that help. He might want Dick to keep chasing him. He wants to be found, to be saved. But Jason knows from experience that those wishes don’t come true.
“I want you to leave the Bat out of it,” Jason reiterates. He says it because it’s easier, and on the outside wanting an absence is like wanting nothing at all. But it is a want secretly, a real one, because he wants to know if Dick is chasing him like he suspects, or if he’s holding a scalpel behind his back, ready to scrape off a sample of Jason and deliver it to Bruce.
Dick doesn’t roll his eyes or argue. In fact, he doesn’t react to the sarcasm Jason had safely wrapped his answer in at all. Instead, he breathes in through his nose, inhaling the terms and conditions, and then breathes them out through his mouth, fully processed. “Within reason,” he acquiesces. It’s not enough and Jason is about to say so when Dick holds up a hand. “I will not contact him without telling you first. And if he sends me anything about the case, I’ll forward the information right away,” he modifies.
That’s another fear to pile onto Jason’s plate. Dick doesn’t even plan on Bruce being forthcoming about whatever he might find on Jason’s rogue. “Yeah, Dick, details are kind of life-or-death here!” he exclaims, utterly bewildered. “I would freaking hope you don’t let Bruce hijack my case.”
Dick has the social graces to look contrite, although Jason knows he’s no different from any of the bats when it comes to secrets. They’re all hard-pressed to feel real guilt over things as petty to them as privacy. Boundaries, like all obstacles, are easily circumvented with a just cause and some zipline.
Once Dick’s done pretending he’s sorry with his face, he sticks out a hand. “Our case,” he offers.
Jason laughs quietly. “Nah, but sure,” he agrees, shaking Dick’s hand. Then he leans back and crosses his arm, shifting his weight to one leg. “I guess the only thing left to sort out is for you to meet the in-laws.”
Dick tilts his head. “In-laws?” he repeats curiously.
“The Outlaws,” Jason specifies as Dick nods and makes an “ah” sound. “Or what’s left of them at least,” he says.
Dick finds his way back to Jason’s desk and hikes himself up. He begins swinging his legs like a child. “I think I already did meet them. What did you call them? Sweaty Su and Fat Lip?”
Jason doesn’t think he’s heard Dick roast nearly enough people to be satisfied. “Yeah,” he says, grinning despite himself. He really should defend them, they’re all he’s got at the moment, but also they suck. “You should call them that to their faces, they’ll love it.”
Dick points at him and winks like the two of them are onto something. And maybe they are.

Autumn Leaves and Bright Eyes
AU in which Persephone is Patton, Hades is Logan, Orpheus is Roman and Virgil is Eurydice. In which Logan and Virgil finally see each other for the first time.
Part one. Part two. Part three. Part four. Part five. Part six. Part seven. Part eight. Part nine is here. Bonus. Part ten. Part eleven.
Word Count: 1,029
Ao3 link: here.
@ab-artist @astral-eclipse
Logan had not expected to not regret his decision.
Well. Not exactly. He did regret it, regret the way he snapped and shouted and- it shouldn’t have happened. He never liked to fight with Patton. He should have never said that he was going to find someone else, as if punishing his husband for something he had no control over. Logan had just planned to spend a few hours in the surface, just enough to make Patton antsy, and then come back and apologize. With some luck, maybe his husband wouldn’t leave as soon as he saw his face.
But.
There had been a boy crying in the middle of the forest Patton loved so dearly and he knew for sure his husband would never forgive him if he didn’t stop to help a human. (The god of spring had always had a soft spot for those squishy beings. Sometimes, Logan wondered if he’d stay if he were one of them.)
“Are you okay?”, he asked, trying to make his voice as soft as it was with Patton and not quite suceeding.
The boy looked up from where he was sitting on the ground, his skirt dirty and red-rimmed eyes that widened when he saw the god. He immediately got up and almost fell over unbalanced when Logan carefully held his arm to keep him from falling. The boy furiously blushed and stepped back.
“W-Who are you?”
“I’m Logan”, he said. “King of the Underworld”. He worried for a moment that the knowledge that he was a god would startle the boy, but he only nodded. Oh. One of the lucky ones that met Patton, then.
“Am I dying, then?”, the boy asked, and he sounded so resignated that Logan felt his heart break for this vulnerable stranger.
“No, I don’t think so. Why do you think that?”
“I’m hungry”, the boy said, simply, as if it was a fact he had had time to get used to- the sky is blue, the leaves fall in the autumn, and his stomach is perpetually empty.
Logan wishes he was Patton. His husband would have given the boy a warm smile and waved his hand and suddenly the trees would be bending to give him fruits that should not be there in this time of the year. But he’s the god of dead. Instead of creating life, he kills.
So he does that. A deer is enough for anyone. He doesn’t know how to prepare meat, but the boy does, and they talk. He’s beautiful. His eyes shine like stars despite his malnourishment, a shy smile playing in his lips while Logan tells him about the lives of those who have already died. (He doesn’t exclude the tragedies, as he did with Patton. He doesn’t think this hungry boy with bright eyes and the ways of a survivor minds it. He’s right.) And Logan…
“Oh”, he says softly, when the boy finally grins for the first time and he can feel his face warming.
“What?”, the boy says, self-counsciously.
“Nothing. It’s just- there’s no one to take care of you?”
His expression closes off and Logan regrets his words, but the boy just sighs and looks at the ashes where he had made the fire. “I do”, he says. “But he’s… He’s too busy elsewhere.”
“Then you don’t.”
The boy winces. Hesitantly, he nods, and he looks like the silent confession could have broken him more easily than the hunger.
“Come with me.”
“What?”
Logan doesn’t quite know why he offers. (Except he does). But he tells himself this boy is hungry, starving, and he’ll surely die if he leaves him here with no one caring enough to stay by his side. He knows how it feels to be lonely. He doesn’t know how it is to be hungry, Patton took care of that well enough even when- well. Logan figures it’s bad. He doesn’t intend on actually being with this boy like he insinuated to Patton, but he can help this human. He can take care of someone. And maybe, just maybe, this one won’t leave the moment mother nature calls. Maybe he won’t have to be completely alone with the dead when the winter ends.
“Come with me”, Logan says. “Technically, well, you’d be dead- but you’d never feel hungry again. Never have to wonder when your next meal will be. You won’t even have to be lonely.”
The boy frowns at him, affronted, and he quickly realizes how it must have sounded.
“Not like that!”, Logan corrects, his face as red as autumn’s leaves. “I’m married, and very much in love with my husband. But he leaves for long periods of time often, and it’s nice to have someone to talk to, you know?”
He looks lost in thought for a moment and then nods. “I don’t know if I want to leave him behind, though”, he says quietly.
“If he really cared about you, he’d be by your side.”
It takes a few minutes of silence. Logan pretends not to see when the boy starts to cry. (He puts a hand on his shoulder anyway. The boy doesn’t flinch. He counts that as a victory). “You don’t need to come, I won’t force you. But you’d be safe down there.”
“No, I’m going”, the boy finally says, with a husky voice. “I’m- I’m going. I think he’ll be happier without me.”
Logan nods. He understands the feeling better than he’s comfortable saying.
“It won’t hurt”, the god promises. “But I’d close my eyes.” The boy nods, doing as he said, and Logan is floored for a moment with the notion that this stranger, this human, trusts him enough to do so.
He shakes his head and carefully touches the boy’s forehead. It’s easy to catch him in his arms when his mortal body colapses, easy to change it to something more durable, better, still with the same appearance Logan is weirdly fond of. (He pretends not to like how the boy seems to fit in his arms.)
Logan doesn’t want to explain this to Patton. But he will.
He thinks he might do anything for this human.

Tag game
Oof, this is so so late, but I am doing it! And thank you to the lovely @foxsoulcourt for tagging me!
LAST

song you listened to: I’m Over You by Bryan James (it may or may not have been on loop for a while)
time you cried: Last Thursday
EVER

IN THE LAST YEAR HAVE I?
made new friends: Multiple, and i am so greatly for all of the lovely people who have graced my life
fallen out of love: Not so much people. But things I believed I loved turned a little false, yes
laughed until you cried: Gosh, all the time. It’s awful, I call it my seal laugh because I’m laughing so hard I can’t breathe and i’m just doubled over hitting a table or my leg to express my joy because that’s all I can do
found out someone was talking about you: Just two weeks ago! And honestly I hate that. Like if you’re gonna talk bad about me just do it to my face. I’ll find out one way or another, might as well be from you
met someone who changed you: Some good people, some not so good people. But I believe it was all for a reason
found out who your friends are: Yes
kissed someone on your Facebook friends list: Hmm... Well, I do not actually have a Facebook so I guess that would be a no
GENERAL
how many of your Facebook friends do you know in real life: I guess I can clarify about FB here. My parents were always freaked out about the internet so never let me get one, and being a good child I never did- plus I was just not interested, so I just... never got around to it in adulthood. AND like whenever I needed to talk to a friend through FB I just used my parents page cause that was their solution, so there was no real need. But like, from the friends I had on my mom’s page yes, I know all of them irl
do you have any pets: SEVERAL AND I LOVE ALL OF MY FURRY CHILDREN! I have an 11yo poodle/terrier mix (mom was a poodle, dad was the terrier next door. Truly a scandal) named Bear and i love my grumpy old man to death; a 2yo boxer/husky mix we rescued that was originally supposed to be a lab which was a total lie named Nutmeg, but it’s okay I love my babe even if i can take her on a 3mi run and she’s still ready to run 3 more; an 8yo wonderfully affectionate and beautiful tabby cat named Willow; a 6 year old (oh my god, she’s 6, it feels like yesterday she was a satellite dish in a collar that meowed) purring machine tabby cat named Sage; and two beautiful girls. Lagertha and Gwenievere are two very playful and loving one year old dumbo eared rats
do you want to change your name: Eh, not really. I’ve had it for this long, might as well keep it
what did you do for your last birthday: Oh that was so fun. I went to the Melting pot (this fancy fondue place, so good) With a couple of friends and had a really great time, even though someone got me crayons as a gag gift (I.... hate, crayons with a PASSION, but she’s known me for like 10 years so of course I accepted.... hesitantly)
what time did you wake up today: Like 7:30? but i didn’t actually leave my bed until 9ish because don’t be fooled, I am not a morning person. I just run because I’m an idiot
what were you doing last night at midnight: Sleeping
what is something you can’t wait for: Figure out where life is taking me and then be a bomb ass bitch at it
what are you listening to right now: X&Y by Coldplay
have you ever talked to a person named Tom: I have, and he is a lovely person. Go talk to a Tom everybody, nice people
something that gets on your nerves: Horrible people. Like just those people that are horrible for no absolute reason. Like grow up, get a life, why do you have to make other people just because you’re unhappy. there are many people you could see for help and I have a number you can call if you need a recommendation
most visited website: Probably a tie between Tumblr, Youtube, and Spotify
hair color: Well, naturally I am blonde but rn it’s a reddish auburn color (but hey, people ask me all the time if it’s my natural color so who knows maybe i was destined for this shade)
long or short hair: ish? It’s growing from a pixie (that I might go back to soon) so its like... not quite shoulder length yet but give it another month and we might be there
what do you like about yourself: You know what, i’m gonna give myself some love and say everything. Lol, but as a serious answer probably my personality/nature. I have a very big heart but am also incredibly sarcastic so it is a delicate balance
want any piercings: SO many. I’m saving up to get my nose done soon (nostril) and later I’ll get my daith, helix, third piercing in my lobe, tragus, and maybe rook
blood type: Some kinda O? Honestly for someone who donates blood as much as I do, I should really know (but important blood donation note, if you wish to make sure not to do it too frequently! Healthy people = healthy blood = healthy donation receivers!)
nicknames: Gosh, too many to type. Apparently I’m just nick namey. But uhhh, the most common: Ash, Ashbash, Higgins, Higgy, Higgs, Figgins, Chief
relationship status: Single
zodiac sign: I’m one of the twin fish babes, Pisces all the way

Tumblr media
"Girl! Come on, we're gonna miss all the fun!" My friend Cheryl yelled from down the street as I rolled my eyes and sauntered towards her. "Stop rolling those damn blue baby's at me."
"Fuck you. This is stupid, Cher." I flicked through my Facebook quickly, distracting myself.
"Listen to me, I need a distraction to get over him. Okay? Just please. You're my best friend and I need you right now. I need to dance my broken hearted ass off on the dance floor while I grind some guy that is either twenty years my senior or too damn young to be in the club, okay?" She had a pouty face on and I sighed, nodding. She squealed and giggled, "that's why you're my bestie."
"Right." I chuckled and followed close behind her into this new club 5th & Mad. The line wasn't too long so we stood there and chatted lightly about what to expect in there. "I don't know, maybe like shitty dance music and drunk dicks who wanna grind you? Like every other fucking dance club?"
"Girl, stop being like that! Jesus!" She cocked a perfectly arched brow at me and flashed a megawatt smile at the bouncer. He winked and let us in no problem.
"Well, that was easy!" Cheryl spotted someone she knew across the room and excused herself, filing between sweaty bodies that were rubbing together to the upbeat music of DNCE.
"Right, well, dancing isn't my thing. I'll be the bar." I yelled after her and she nodded, waving a hand in my direction. "Fucking great." I squeezed between three guys arguing about something along the lines of sports and ordered a beer. I was never the kind of girl who had all these shitty girlie drinks and flaunted my stuff around. Beer, wings and a good hockey game was all I required to get going. "Thanks." I nodded my head in appreciation.
The three guys beside me were getting a little too close for comfort and their voices raised octaves. "Jesus man, don't you know sports!" One guy yelled, slurring his words and spilling beer onto my shoulder.
"Fuck off bro, this is a brand new shirt." I shoved him away and her turned towards me.
"I'm sorry?" His eyes were glossy and his sneer evil. "Beautiful lady say something?"
I snorted, "I said fuck off. This is brand new shirt. Don't want your cheap ass beer on it."
The guy on his right started howling in laughter, "you're feisty for sure, aren't you?" He stepped closer, cocking his head to the side and ran his fingertips down my exposed shoulder.
"Get off of me, perv." I started to stand when his fingers dug into my skin. "Christ, let go of me!"
"Nope, you started talking to us, lady. We're gonna finish this conversation." The third man finally spoke and chuckled. "Don't be a bitch, come on. Have a drink with us. You look like you could use a drink."
"I don't need a fucking drink, I need you to get your low paid pervert hands off of my body before I call the fucking police." I tried pulling my arm away.
"Don't be like that sweetheart. We just wanna show you a good time." The first man stepped closer again and brought his lips close to my face.
"JESUS! Get the hell off of me. I'm calling the pol-."
A large man came to my side, kissing my cheek. "There you are sweetheart. These bastards giving you trouble?"
The three men chortled together, exchanging glances with one another. "Who the fuck are you?"
The mystery man sneered, "I'm her fucking boyfriend. Who the hell are you?"
"Well, buddy, your girlfriend here isn't very faithful. She was trying to make a move on me. Cheap slut."
"Excuse me?" I stood to my feet and slapped him across his cheek. "Fuck off buddy. You do not wanna start this tonight."
Mystery man stepped in front of me and chuckled, "don't wanna mess with her, believe me. I've been with her for years. She may be little but damn, she's feisty."
"Whatever bro, just control your whore. We just came here for a drink not to be hit on by the likes of her." The middle man rolled his eyes and jutted his chin in my direction.
"You know what, you cock-sucking bastard, how about you take your sleazy ass home back to wherever hole you fucking crawled out of and die in it? Okay? Or if that holes not good enough for you, I know a few empty ones at the cemetery. I'm sure they could spare one for someone with a dick that small." I smirked at him and backed away, flashing him the finger and strutting away. "Fucking bastards." I muttered under my breath, navigating between bodies to another empty seat.
Half way through my beer, my phone started ringing. CHERYL. "Where the hell are you?"
She giggled, "I'm in the bathroom lineup. Where are you?"
"Sitting at the bar." I played with the napkin under my drink as I spoke.
"Right, the no dancing thing. Oh my god." It came out as a whisper.
"What?" She didn't reply, just gasping. "Jesus, Cher, what?"
"Don't look now but I'm pretty sure Sebastian fucking Stan is staring at you!" The giddiness in her voice was annoying.
"Who's that?"
"Jesus, (Y/N), you know!" Her voice cracked as she whined.
"No, I don't actually, that's why I fucking asked." I took another swig of my beer, waiting for a reply.
"Oh my god, he's walking over to you. Hang up the damn phone."
"Who the hell is Sebast-." Dead tone, bitch hung up on me.
"Excuse me? This seat taken?" A husky but familiar voice came from beside me.
"If you're the fucking prick who tried hitting on me earli-." I turned, meeting the eyes of my hero from earlier. "Uh, nope. Just my knight in shining ... leather jacket."
He chuckled, "uh, not the prick. Well, not that one anyway. Can I sit?"
My face flushed a little bit and I nodded, "free country."
He smiled and ordered two more beers. "What's your name?"
"Oh, it rhymes with Luck Lou." I rolled my eyes and sipped my beer.
"Damn, well, Fuck You is a great name. I'm Sebastian." He smirked as the bottle met his lips.
"Good for you, Sebastian." I hated coming to these fucking places.
"Okay ... you from around here?" He sighed and waited for response.
"I could be." I had to admit, I was being a bitch to this poor guy. He tried coming to my aid and I hadn't even thanked him for it. Fuck that, I don't need rescuing.
"Well, that's a good part of town." He snorted and started to stand. "See you around Fuck You."
I sighed, "wait."
"Oh, not done being bitchy? Cause I don't have all night, I have a flight to catch in the morning."
Well done, pretty boy.
"Thanks for earlier but I had it under control." I clucked my tongue displaying my disapproval of his help.
"Ah, right, of course you did. All five foot .. one,  of you."
"Listen, buddy, not all of us have to grow up and be fucking gigantic, okay?"
He laughed, "right. Some of you are done growing to perfection at your height."
Sweet Lord, did he just-. Damn boy.
I cleared my throat and took another swig, turning around in my seat to watch the people. "I'm (Y/N)."
"Really? I like Fuck You so much better." He chuckled and offered a hand. "I'm not gonna bite."
I snorted, "that's what they all say."
He smirked, squinting his eyes at me. "I'm not like the stories, you know? Just because I play douche bags doesn't mean I am one."
"What?" I literally had no idea who this guy was. I mean, he looked familiar but I could've just seen him around the city.
He laughed, "you don't know who I am?"
"Not from Adam, sorry bud." I found my foot tapping to the light rhythm of Calvin Harris.
"Well, that's refreshing, actually. I'm Sebastian ... Stan." He raised his brow, obviously expecting me to react to his full name.
"You can keep saying your name all night and I ain't gonna know who the fuck you are, buddy." Tipping my bottle up, the last few droplets plopped themselves into my mouth. Dammit.
"Okay ... this is strange." He scoffed.
"Wow, high and mighty, are we? Dude, get over yourself." I stood and started walking away.
"Hey, (Y/N), wait."
"Nope, sorry. I don't have time for proud pricks, such as yourself." I briskly walked towards the bathroom and found Cheryl dancing with a guy with holes in his ears the size of my mouth. "Cheryl, ready to leave?"
She laughed, "you wanna go? I seen you over there talking to Sebastian!"
I rolled my eyes, "yeah. That's why I wanna leave, damn cocky son of a bitch."
She snorted, "I'm sorry?"
"He's a cocky prick."
Her face flushed pink, flicking her eyes between me and the space behind me. "Here."
I turned to find Sebastian behind me, two beers in hand with a shit eating grin on his lips. "What?"
"I bought you another beer. Take the damn drink."
Cheryl giggled, "Sebastian, so nice to actually meet you."
He smirked at me and then smiled wide for her. "Thanks, lovely to meet you. Are you friend of (Y/N)'s?"
Cheryl laughed, "since childhood. She can be a bit of a bitch at first but she warms up to you."
He licked his lips and raised his brows. "Afraid I don't have time for self-righteous bitches, sorry."
I scoffed, "wow."
Cheryl chuckled nervously, "did I miss something?"
Sebastian laughed, "ask your friend. You're welcome for the beer by the way." He rolled his eyes and walked through the ocean of women eyeing him up and down.
"What the hell did you say to him?" Cheryl slapped my arm.
"Nothing that I wouldn't say to anyone else. I called him a proud prick."
"You did what?!" She nearly fainted I swear.
"Oh, don't be so shocked." I checked my watch, barely even ten. Fuuuuck, this wanna gonna be a long ass night.
"You remember watching the Captain America movies?"
"Obviously, he's my favorite."
"Well, my little bitchy friend, that young hot ass friend over there-." She pointed at him, sitting at the bar, making side glances on my direction. "He's Cap's best friend, Bucky fucking Barnes."
"Shit, no way." I said it monotone, not letting her now my inner fan girl was going crazy.
"Uh, yeah! It's a wonder you didn't fucking recognize him!"
"I mean, he doesn't even look he same! How the hell was I suppose to know?"
"Oh my god, he's coming back over!" Her face contorted into a wide grin.
"For fuck sakes." I rolled my eyes, purposely putting my back towards him.
"(Y/N). I've come to ask your friend for a dance."
Cheryl's jaw dropped, "Jesus Christ."
He squished his nose and accepted her outstretched hand. "Don't be too jealous, k?"
"Wow, it is possible. Your head actually got three times larger just now." I flipped him the bird and sat down, scanning through Instagram.
Half an hour later, he returned my friend who's head was somewhere between Cloud 9 and Sebastian's ass. "Oh, thanks for returning her. You're free to go now."
"You know, I have this theory that woman are actually overly bitchy to the men they find attractive. Is that your problem with me? You wanna fuckme all night long? Or are you just a class A bitch by nature?"
"Ah, thanks for that tidbit of useless information. Also, if I wanted to fuck you, all night long. We'd already be back at my apartment, buddy. So how about you climb off that high horse of yours and go back to the people who actually give shit about who you are." My phone chimed and I read the message.
'Stop being such a damn bitch!' It was from Cheryl.
I smirked 'stay out of it Cher.'
"You know, I went to school to study acting and I actually made a career out of it. But unfortunately for you, they don't offer anything for a bitch who only sees the tip of her nose cause she's too busy looking down at everybody else from it. Good luck with your life and I hope, I sincerely hope, you find a man who can keep up with your self-righteous, arrogant, high class bitchy attitude. But then again, if you end up alone, it wouldn't surprise me. Doesn't matter how hot you are, your personality sucks and you're a royal bitch. Thanks for the chat, but I have a movie to film." He saluted me and chuckled, kissing Cheryl on the cheek. He walked away shaking his head.
"That arrogant bastard." I scoffed, offended by his words.
"Woah, well put." I slapped Cheryl. "What? You asked for that. You are kind of a bitch most of the time."
"Whatever. I'm leaving." I grabbed her by the arm and drug her outside the club.
"Sebastian!" Cheryl yelled across the street a week later and he smiled, jogging over cautiously.
"Hey! Nice to see you again Cheryl." He hugged her and cocked a brow at me. "You, not so much."
"You're right. I was a class A bitch to you and I deserved every word you said."
He crossed his arms and spread his feet, leaning back slightly giving the arrogant stance. "Fucking right you did."
"I just said that." Making a face I started walking away. "Cheryl, I'll catch up with you later."
"Bye, (Y/N). I'll call later! Sebastian, I'd love to stay and chat but I'm gonna be late for work." She waved and ran into the small cafe on the corner.
"(Y/N)!" I stopped at my name and rolled my eyes. "Wait up."
"Something I can help you with, Stan." I tapped my foot and cocked my head to the side.
"Actually, I was hoping you would join me for dinner tomorrow night?"
"I'm sorry, what?" My jaw slackened in shock.
He laughed, "You heard me. Dinner ... tomorrow night ... at my place. I'll cook."
"Uh, no?" I shook my head and started walking away.
He caught up with me in a few short strides. "You're a real piece of work, you know that? Like, I wanna strangle you the whole time you talk."
"Ouu, kinky. But I'm pretty sure that's a death threat and in America and most of good ol' planet earth, that's illegal."
"Right, well, something about you ... fascinates me."
"I fascinate you? I'm not some fucking 5th grade science experiment."
"No, you're right, people want to be around that. You .. not so much. Except for me, for some dumb ass reason."
I chuckled, "well, thanks for the invite but I'm afraid that's a hard pass from me."
"Why?" He cocked his brow and flashed a cocky grin.
I'm sorry, fucking WHY?  "Why? Well, because I don't ... like .. you? Isn't that reason enough to avoid each other?"
He scoffed, "you would think right? But apparently, I'm willing to spend a couple of hours with potently the rudest person in all of America."
"Do I get an award or something? I've been practicing my speech since I was six." I cleared my throat. "Thank you ladies and gentleman for this opportunity. Also, fuck you."
He laughed out loud, "you're a real piece of work. It's truly a wonder you even have friends. How does sweet little Cheryl get trapped with you as a best friend?"
"Desperate times call for desperate measures. You're grade A proof of that."
"What the hell does that mean?" He placed a hand on his hip.
"Exactly what it sounds like. Apparently, you got shot down one too many times and now you're begging for my attention."
"Begging? That's what politely asking a girl to dinner is? Is that what the kids are calling it now a days?"
"What do I have to do to get you to leave me the hell alone?"
"Uh, one; stop being such a bitch, nobody's laughing. Two; meet me at this address tomorrow night at 7." He handed me a piece of paper with an address scrawled on it.
"You know, I would but .. I don't wanna." I clenched my jaw, sucking in breath and shrugged.
"Okay, then I guess you want me to follow you around New York, harassing the shit out of you for the next, let's say, fifty years?"
"You don't get out much do you?" I scoffed and pressed the button to cross the street. I took notice to the people around us watching, staring as he followed me around the city, laughing and smirking. "I guess I'm the only person here in New York that doesn't know or wants to get to know you."
"The price of being successful is high. But it's my burden to carry."
"Right. Well, have fun with that .... I'll see you tomorrow night."
"Wait, you're willing to spend time with a peasant like me?" He touched his chest lightly and smirked.
"If that's what keeps you off my ass for the next fifty years, than hell yeah." I cocked a brow.
"Who said I wanted off your ass?" He winked and started jogging again.
I stood in front of the building, sighing and kicking myself in the ass for even agreeing to do this. "You idiot." I muttered under my breath. Ringing the buzzer, a husky voice called out to enter at my own risk. "Okay, then."
I rode the elevator up to the top and it dinged loudly as it opened to an open concept floor. The kitchen was the first thing I seen, completely open with pots covering the stove and an amazing smell filling the room. The living room was directly beside it, three large grey couches filling the area under a huge ass flat screen TV mounted on the dark maroon wall. About ten feet was a staircase that led up to a king size bed made up with a white and black duvet covering it. A door clicked from my right and I seen him come out, dressed in jeans, a t-shirt and bare feet. "Wow, I'm surprised you actually showed up."
"Yeah, me too, buddy." I cleared my throat and looked around. "Nice place."
"Meh, it does the trick." So humble.
The view from this place was absolutely breath-taking; New York skylines as far as the eye could see, time square mere blocks away. "No seriously, Sebastian, this place is amazing."
He chuckled, "it helps to have place here in New York with all my projects. You hungry?"
"Depends on what you're cooking." I laughed nervously, surprised by how calm I was to be here. Keeping up my sarcastic, arrogant facade was exhausting.
"Grilled Salmon Fillets with Wasabi and Lemon Cream Sauce." He wiped his hands on the cloth hanging from the oven. "Nothing big."
"Okay Gordan Ramsey, calm down. If acting doesn't work out for you..." I sniffed the air. "Smells fantastic and I'm starved."
"Good! And it's my first time making this, so be gentle ... please." He looked up at me through his dark lashes and my stomach flopped.
Holy sweet Jesus this man is fucking attractive.
"No promises from the grade A bitch, here." I chuckled, tucking a piece of my blonde hair behind my ear.
"You look really nice tonight, by the way." He bit his lip and stared at me, his blue eyes seemed to be seeing my soul.
I hadn't really tried all that much but Cheryl was determined to make me look amazing. She picked out a loose fitting white blouse paired with a black pencil skirt with a red wedged heel. I insisted on just wearing jeans and sweater but good lord, that woman was persistent. "Thanks."
He smirked and stirred something on the stove. "Almost ready."
"You need help with anything?" I started over to him.
"You can help by sitting your pretty ass on that couch over there. Make yourself at home." He smiled wide, flashing me his brilliant white teeth.
I plopped down on the couch, dropping my bag beside me. *clink*. "Oh damn, I brought this wine ... Cheryl insisted."
"Right, well, thanks Cheryl. I don't really carry much booze here at the house. Not since .. uh." He cleared his throat. "So, what's your deal? You're not being a complete bitch tonight?"
I shrugged, "it's exhausting trying to keep up with your ego."
He giggled, "right, of course. So, you're actually like a decent human being then?"
"Meh, I try. I mean, I'm no Steve Rogers but you know, I volunteer at the occasional soup kitchen and donate old clothes to women shelters." This was true, it was something I had been doing since my mother threw me out at seventeen.
"Steve Rogers, eh? Cap fan?" He clucked his tongue.
"Uh, yeah. Not so big on that Bucky character. Jesus, he's annoying." I winked at him.
"Uh, so you do know who I am then?" He flushed a pink color avoiding my gaze.
"After Cheryl explained to me why you looked so familiar, yeah. Sorry, by the way. For not remembering, also for my behavior last week at the club." I smiled tightly and focused on my folded hands in my lap.
He chuckled, "it's okay. Uh, it was fun actually being a total smart ass to you. Keeps me young."
I snorted, "need all the help you can get, eh?"
"Smart ass." He scoffed.
"How did you know my childhood nickname?" He chuckled. "What are you now? Pushing what, 35?"
He nodded, "just turned 34 past August."
"Wow, good god, you could be my father."
He scoffed, "you're what? Pushing 12?"
I flipped him the bird, "you can blame my parents for my good genes. I turned 23 this past September."
"Oh my god, I'm robbing the damn cradle." He rolled his eyes and smirked.
"Calm down, grandpa. People only say that when they're dating."
He smirked, "what exactly do you think this is?"
"Oh for the love of God, it better not be a date!" He made a face, nodding. "Mother fucker."
He laughed, "foods done. Fucking starved. If this sucks, there's an amazing pizza place around the corner." I pulled my phone out and pretended to dial a number. "What are you doing?"
"Calling my insurance company so when I die of food poisoning here tonight, my family gets a butt ton of money."
He rolled his eyes, "you're not gonna get food poisoning, okay? The most you'll get is like ... I can't think of anything smart to say."
I laughed out loud, "your old age is catching up with you."
"Fuck you preemee." He chuckled and dished up our plates.
To be honest, the meal was delicious. Sebastian really was a half decent cook and had some good stories to tell about being on set with the Marvel crew. He was laughing as he poured us another glass of wine, "that's when I told Chris to go fuck himself. Couldn't believe he said that!"
I wiped away a stray tear and held my gut, "oh my god, I can't breath! That's too funny. Chris seems like a pretty good guy."
"Aw, man. I love Chris, he's amazing." He smiled and clinked his glass to mine.
I smiled back and bit my lip. "Sebastian, that meal was amazing."
He rolled his eyes and swatted at the air, "meh, I mean, my mom is pretty good at cooking so..." He set his glass down and leaned onto the table. "I've had a really good time with you tonight, (Y/N)."
I smiled, like genuinely smiled. "Thank you, I've had a pretty okay time too."
"Ah, thanks. Pretty okay was what I was aiming for." He started gathering up the dishes.
"No, please, let me. It's the least I can do." I took his plate from him and put mine on top, grabbing the utensils with the other hand.
So there we stood at his kitchen sink, my arms elbow deep in soapy water and him standing beside me drying. It was a pretty funny sight to be quite frank. "You'd think some high uppity up like yourself would have a dishwasher."
He snorted, "well, I don't mind doing dishes by hand. Mamma raised me right, besides gives me time to escape with my thoughts, you know? Really lets me get outside of my own head."
I knew what he meant better than anyone. I smiled as I rinsed the last dish and wiped my hands off. "Yeah, I know all too well."
He put the plate away and followed me over to the couch, grabbing our glasses of wine again. "So, are you from around here?"
I nodded, "not here exactly, but grew up pretty close."
"Oh yeah?" He spoke between sips.
"Yep. Grew up in Canada, actually."
"Shit, no way. You're a purebred Canuck then?" He chuckled, patting my thigh but leaving his hand there.
I flushed, trying to ignore the act. "Uh, y-yeah. Lived there till I was seventeen then moved here."
"Why did you move here? Like why not stay in your hometown for a bit." He raised a brow at me.
I smiled weakly, "it's kind of a long story."
His brow furrowed, "I'm sorry if I hit a nerve or something ... just trying to get to know you better."
I smiled, "nah, no. It's fine, really. Uh, just things kinda blew up back home after my seventeenth birthday with my mom and she threw me out. Said I was too big of a burden for her to carry anymore." I shrugged. "Leaving was my best option at the time, I guess."
"Shit, that sucks. I'm really sorry that happened to you. I left my own country too when I was younger." He licked his lips, nervously.
"I thought you were American?"
He shrugged, "I mean, I am. But I was born and raised in Romania till I was twelve."
"Sweet Jesus." I choked on my wine.
He chuckled, "I mean, that's where I was born but America is my home. My mom brought me here to escape the things of home and give me my best chance."
I smiled, touching his hand. His fingers grabbed mine and laced them together. My breath hitched and he smiled. "Your mom sounds sweet."
"She's amazing." His voice cracked and he nodded. "New subject."
I bit my lip and smiled. "So, Chris Evans, eh? I mean, now he's a piece of work."
"Sweet Lord, you're on a date with me and you're still thinking of Evans?"
I chuckled, "that beard, man."
He laughed, "oh I know .. the man has a nice beard."
I smiled and he looked at me. I focused on his eyes, the color of them dancing between a light blue and a sea foam green. He scanned my face and landed on my mouth. I bit the corner of my lip, out of habit but now because of nerves. He leaned close; close enough I could smell the alcohol on his breath. "Can I kiss you?"
I cleared my throat, nodding. "Sure."
He scooted closer, placing a hand on my cheek, gently brushing my hair out of the way. He leaned in close but continually searched my eyes. When he was mere centimeters away, I felt out lips connect and a literal spark traveled through my body. He pulled away and smiled, shyly. He cocked a brow and I nodded, giving him permission to do it again. He smirked and placed his lips on mine again, this time his fingers running through my hair. He ran his tongue only my bottom lip and I opened them slightly, allowing him to explore my mouth with his tongue. I grabbed onto his bicep to steady myself as the kiss deepened. My other hand found the back of his head, and my fingers found themselves entangled through his thick locks. I could taste the wine on his breath, the wasabi from dinner but also a hint of mint. I pulled back, panting for breath and chuckled. "Woah."
He nodded, his cheeks turning rosy. "Sorry."
I rolled my eyes, "no, please don't apologize. That was .. thanks."
"Well, you're very welcome." He kissed my cheek and stood. "Do you want more wine?"
I sighed, "uh, no. I shouldn't. I have drive tonight." I cleared my throat. "And, I should probably get going. I have to work early tomorrow."
He nodded, shoving his fingers into his front pockets. "Of course, I've had you for the few hours I wanted."
I smirked, "it wasn't all that bad. I mean, the kiss was  .. mediocre."
"Oh sweet Jesus." He ran a hand through his hair, smiling.
"I'm kidding, you're pretty good. I mean, acting since you were in your early twenties, you must've picked up some tricks on how to kiss." My stomach flopped and my knees jerked becoming suddenly weak.
His face turned a scarlet color and he eyed the ceiling before letting them land on me again. "Meh, I guess."
I stood beside him and linked our fingers together. "I had a really good time tonight."
He kissed my cheek, "I did too. I'm glad I had enough balls to put up with your bullshit."
I laughed sarcastically, "my bullshit? Jesus."
He winked and walked me to the elevator door. "We should do this again. Soon."
I shrugged, "I'll see how my schedule is. Rumor has it, there's this pretty cute actor guy roaming the streets. Sebastian .. something rather. Never heard of him."
He chuckled, "I'm sure he's nobody I should worry about. I'll call you in the morning."
"Little hard to call when you don't have my number." He laughed, shaking his head, handing me his cellphone. I typed my name and number in quickly, adding a smiley face emoji after Smart Ass.
He chuckled, "suites you perfectly."
I shrugged, "childhood nicknames, you know? They just stick."
He kissed my lips again, "goodnight smart ass."
"Goodnight, Sargent Barnes."

A Charitable Risk
Hello I wrote a fic that I’ve had in my head for literally years and im posting it now cause im excited about it. (i submitted it to my friend to beta read and she accidentally posted it so thats why you’re seeing it twice)
Rating: General, post-series
Length: 2,251
“Can you even imagine..?” Ms. Margaret said, covering her mouth in awe.
Nana had stars in her eyes. “You could make so many dresses… shirts.. anything!”
Husky and Cooro stood outside the mass of women, only catching glances of the object of adoration. Cooro’s curiosity got the better of him and he went into the crowd. Husky grimaced, but didn’t follow; he would’ve only gone in if somebody paid him. Cooro picked up Nana’s familiar voice. “The price though…” she said dejectedly.
“Yes… I suppose that’s expected,” Margaret said.
Finally getting to the shop window, Cooro gawked at the machine too, oblivious to some stares from older ladies.
“It’s a sewing machine,” Nana said to him. “It makes the needle go way faster than a hand can, so you can make a lot of clothes really fast!”
“Whoa…” Cooro said as the crowd cleared enough that Husky felt comfortable coming over.
“Isn’t it amazing?” Nana said.
“Like you’d be able to afford it,” Husky scoffed after giving the machine a good look over.
Nana huffed. “I…I know that!”
“Clothes hand-stitched are made with more love anyhow,” Margaret cooed, gently moving Nana away from the window to continue their shopping, though sparing one last glance at the machine.
Husky followed, since another wave of women were coming to awe. “The stuff girls are willing to spend money on…”
“If they saved enough, they could buy it, right?” Cooro said behind him.
“Yeah, but that money is needed for food, next winter’s stock, Mr. Harden and Ms. Margaret have taxes they need to pay. I will admit it’s an interesting machine, but there are more important things. Besides, it’s so big and bulky. Nana couldn’t carry that thing around if…” Husky trailed off. ‘If we leave,’ he thought.
“But y’know…” Cooro said, “we’ve already been staying with Mr. Harden and Ms. Margaret for a year now, and they’ve said they’re happy to have us.”
Husky furrowed his brow. Their group had talked about leaving off and on for months, but for whatever reasons, they had continued to stay. Harden had been ordered another big smithing job from the military, and they had helped. Or when winter came and it was a place to wait it out. They were getting quite comfortable here. Husky wouldn’t point it out, but he could sense Harden and Margaret had become like parents to the others. As for him… well, the two adults were very nice (he’d never admit that Ms. Margaret had earned a spot on his very short “Bearable Women” list), but his mom would always be his mom.
Husky shot a glance at Margaret; she had revealed to be a +anima in the past to them a while back, which had made her and Nana grow incredibly close. It seemed like they were in safe, warm hands…
“Do you really think we could..?” Husky responded in a low voice, looking at the ground. His anxiety just wouldn’t let him say yes. It’d been a miracle the nearby town hadn’t found out they were +anima yet. But what if they did? Surely it was inevitable with people like Cooro and Senri in their group. Would they force Mr. harden and Ms. Margaret to kick them out? His thoughts were so heavy he almost missed Cooro’s answer.
“We won’t know until we try,” the boy smiled.
~
“We’re home,” Margaret called as she and the kids entered the house.
Harden and Senri paused their work, peering into the room. “Hello,” the older man said.
“Mr. Harden, Senri!” Nana piped up. “You wouldn’t believe what we saw in town today!”
“Hmm? What?” the man said, leaning on the door frame separating the house from his workshop.
“There was a machine that would do sewing for you! They say you can make clothes almost seven times as fast!” The girl’s face lit up just talking about it.
Harden looked at Margaret, who stopped putting groceries away to slightly smile. “Yes, it looked amazing,” she said.
“I had heard rumors of such a machine being patented. Looks like it’s official,” Harden said, crossing his arms.
“I wish I had one,” Nana groaned. “But it’s… super expensive.”
“You’d be able to get more work,” Harden said to Margaret.
“Yes,” she said, her eyes soft and wistful. “I could even have time to make some of the ideas I’ve had for clothes…”
“Right?” Nana piped in. “I’d be able to have more than just a couple dresses at a time.”
Margaret could feel Harden’s thoughtful gaze on her. “Like we said, we wouldn’t be able to afford it. We’ve gotten by without one all this time, after all,” she smiled, though showing disappointment on her face. “Come on Nana, let’s go get firewood for dinner.” She lead the girl out back. Despite the woman’s attempt to change the conversation, Nana still continued to gush about the sewing machine, her voice muffled outside the house.
Husky sighed, slightly annoyed the topic was brought up again, though he hadn’t considered what Harden had said, about Ms. Margaret making more money.
Cooro and Harden exchanged a look. “Come in here, boys,” Harden said, motioning into his workshop.
~
The air was still light with spring, though the streets were starting to become shaded by new leaves. Senri and Nana were alone running errands. Out of the corner of his eye, Senri saw a stack of golden jars on a vendor’s table. He stopped and picked one up, inspecting the sweet syrup inside.
Nana took notice. “Oh! That’s probably some of the first honey of the season. I know we still have some, but it might be nice to buy a small fresh batch. I know you like it.”
Senri closed his eye in thought. He shook his head after a moment, and put the honey jar back on the table.
“Oh,” Nana blinked. “You sure?”
Senri nodded, looking at her.
“Alright… I suppose it might be better in a few months anyway,” she said, continuing down the street.
~
“it’s soooo hoooot,” Cooro whined as the kids sat in the shade. It wasn’t even noon yet, but the air was already incredibly heavy with humidity. Husky knew if he wasn’t careful his pale skin would completely fry today in the summer sun.
“Ooh!” Cooro said excitedly. “The sweets shop has ice cream now! We should get some!”
“No,” Husky said before anyone else could agree.
“Ah..” Cooro fumbled a bit. “C’mon Husky just this once would be ok, right?” he said.
“He can do what he wants with his money, Husky,” Nana piped in. “That sounds really good actually.” Her eyes kinda glazed over thinking about the cold treat.
“Because,” Husky said, his voice like daggers, giving Cooro a wide-eyed glare, “it’ll only cool you off for a few minutes, and then you’ll be hot again.”
Nana was about to object, but Cooro gave a small sigh, “Yeah.”
Nana stared at him incredulously for a second. Cooro? Being this easily convinced not to have food?? What? “Cooro, are you feeling ok?” she said, rushing at the boy and putting a hand on his forehead. “Is the heat getting to you? Are you dizzy?”
“No, Nana I’m fine,” Cooro laughed, leaning away.
“But you never say no to food..!” she said, still not completely believing him.
“He’s just finally starting to listen to me,” Husky said, standing up. “Let’s just go swimming in the river again. It’s free.”
Cooro followed. “You should get me some fish to make up for it. Or crawdads!” he smiled.
“…Fine.” Husky did his best to ignore Nana’s burning stare on the back of his head.
~
Autumn leaves blew across the ground as Cooro, Husky, and Senri walked to meet up with Mr. Harden in town. They moved quickly, anxious to ditch the large sums of money they were carrying hidden in their bags. Husky felt it the most. He still couldn’t quite believe they were doing this. As they approached to pass the jewelry shop, a place Husky was all too familiar with, he tried to create tunnel vision for himself. But his heart and eyes failed him, as a huge blue jewel centerpiece caught his attention. It was pretty high quality, Husky could tell just by looking at it. He loved the cut, too. Even in the cold, dreary light it shined bright-
“Husky? What’s up?” Cooro’s voice broke his trance. The crow +anima came back to him, standing still in front of the shop’s window.
“Nothing,” Husky lied, glancing away from the jewel’s high ticket price. Now he was extremely aware of the saved money in his bag. He just stared at the ground in conflicted thought. ‘I can actually afford it. When am I even going to have this much money again?’
Cooro and Senri glanced between the jewels in the glass case and Husky’s face.
“Husky… Mr. Harden’s waiting for us,” Cooro said in an uncharacteristically small voice.
“I-I know, I’m-“ Husky looked at his friends’ uneasy faces, and sighed. He could not believe he was doing this. “I’m coming.” He forced himself to walk away, one foot in front of the other. The tension broken, Senri and Cooro followed, smiling at him.
“Shut up,” Husky growled.
“We didn’t say anything Husky.”
~
“I swear to God Cooro if you don’t take that down I’m gonna throw it in the fireplace,” Husky frowned, his bangs flipping around as Cooro’s wings stirred the air in the house.
“Aw but it’s a tradition Husky,” Cooro said from the ceiling.
“I don’t care, I’m not kissing anyone in this house.”
“Husky’s a Grinch,” Nana said from the kitchen.
“You get stuck under that thing and see how you like it,” Husky scowled.
Ms. Margaret came over, wiping her hands on her apron. “Nobody’s going to force you to do anything,” she assured. “Besides, you can avoid it all together if you want.” Husky still stared at the mistletoe as if it was going to sting him.
Cooro landed on the floor, wings splayed excitedly behind him. “Is dinner ready yet?”
“Yes,” Margaret smiled.
“Yeah!”
After everyone had stuffed their faces, Nana leaned forward in her chair and said, “Can we open presents now?”
“Of course,” Margaret said, and Harden added with a nod. Cooro rushed to the Christmas tree with a cheer, as if he hadn’t just filled his gut to the brim with food. The others followed. After they had opened all the presents under the tree and wrapping paper strew the floor, Margaret leaned back in her chair. “I guess we should start cleaning this mess up.”
The boys exchanged knowing glances, and Harden’s mustache bristled with a smile. “There’s one more,” he said.
Harden and Senri went into his workshop, and came back out carrying a big box. Cooro’s smile broadened as Margaret raised a hand to her mouth. “Oh my goodness!”
“Wh-what did you get?” Nana exclaimed, coming over to the box.
“Open it and find out,” Husky said, his face showing the faintest of smiles.
“It’s for both of you ladies,” Harden said. The two females looked at each other before unwrapping the brown paper, their hearts beating in excited curiosity. Margaret cut open the simple box. She and Nana gasped, seeing the shiny sewing machine and cabinet stand inside.
Nana’s hands flew to her mouth, eyes already becoming watery. “Oh my gosh! You guys..! You guys!” she said, looking at her friends, her voice high and muffled.
“Merry Christmas Nana, Ms. Margaret,” Cooro beamed.
“Merry Christmas,” Senri smiled.
Tears streamed down Nana’s face as she hugged each one of them, even Husky.
“Alright, alright, yeah, Merry Christmas,” Husky said, lightly patting her.
Margaret continued to stare at the sewing machine in shock and awe. “Harden…”
“The boys and I saved up all year for it,” Harden smiled, returning Nana’s hug.
“Thank you so much! Thank you!” Nana said, trying to wipe tears off her face. She eagerly removed the rest of the box, revealing the machine in its full glory.
“You’re welcome,” Harden and Cooro chimed.
“Th-thank you… all of you,” Margaret smiled at Harden and the boys. “You didn’t have to do this.” Husky fiddled with his hair, becoming flustered by the girls’ gratitude.
“We wanted to,” Cooro said. “You obviously really wanted it.”
Nana looked up from the instruction manual she was now reading. “It explains why you guys never bought anything for yourselves all year. I never thought it’d be for this…” She glanced around at the other gifts strewn around the room. She had been satisfied with what she had made for the boys for Christmas, and they said they liked it, but it all felt unequal now.
“I’m going to make you all something with this,” Nana said to the guys. “Something really special. Anything you want! In repayment for this…”
“Really?” Gooro gasped. Senri blinked in surprise.
“You don’t need to do that,”Harden replied. “This was a gift.”
“You already make most of our clothes anyway,” Husky mumbled.
“I..I want to,” Nana said firmly.
“I’ll help her,” Margaret said, a same firmness in her usually soft eyes. “It’s the least we can do. You boys worked so hard for this.” Nana nodded with Margaret’s statement.
Harden sighed and crossed his arms. “Well alright. There’s probably no use trying to stop you gals anyway.”
“I see no better way to make first use of this machine,” Ms. Margaret smiled at Nana. “Right?”
“Yeah,” the girl said, smiling too.

I also have a vintage army style going, a lot of olive green, So it looks nice too. It says United States army 1775 with the army star on it. Not that it was weird, but weird, but my brother, some friends, and I peaked into the window and my brother saw a giant purple crayon bank, and upon seeing it, he claimed it as his.So we break in (Keep in mind I am like, 7) and I stole a ceramic chicken. We get to the room with the crayon and he grabs the crayon and runs the front door of this house (where it’s snowing and people can see our foot prints) and yells on at the top of his lungs “I GOT THE CRAYON” While holding it above his 6′1″ head, making the rest of us run past him and back to my garage where we were “safe”That was pretty weird I guess.

We layed in the middle of what is usually a busy street, quieted by the night and star gazed, started a fire in a grill then struggled to put it out, almost set the park on fire but swinging around a burning stick, and he tore down a light post with his bare hands and I stole a piece from the top of the post, all the while shooting the shit and being sober (New friend actually said that it was the first time he was sober in years and was one of the best times he had in a long time, which made me feel a type of way.)

But they had a bunch of stuffed animals they gave away to all the girls there. And I was the first person to pick and there was a stuffed husky there, and when I picked it the entire place sighed. His name was Brownie (Like the Cleveland browns football mascot who is a dog) at first, then I changed it to phoenix. He has bright blue eyes, black fur on top, white fur on bottom. The Death List - Chapter 1
The New England air was cold and crisp in early September. Kennedy Heart stood on the sidewalk looking up at the different colors that
were splashed among the trees. She took a deep breath in and held it there for just a moment and closed her eyes. She was happy here in Salem, Massachusetts. She thought she would miss being back home in Kansas but she honestly was happy here. Kennedy wrapped her arms around herself and shuddered. It was going to be a very cold winter she decided. She opened her eyes and glanced at her phone. The time indicated that it was almost time for her very first class at Salem State University. She smiled to herself and began to walk towards the building her class would be in. Her first class of the day happened to be Calculus, her favorite subject. Kennedy adored math while most girls enjoyed English or Literature. She had already determined that she would be either a math or accounting major. Math would be involved somehow she knew that for certain. Her shoes squeaked on the linoleum as she walked into the building. Excitement and nervousness bubbled inside of her stomach as she pulled out a piece of notebook paper that contained her class schedule and classroom number. The building was loud as many college students stood in the halls drinking their coffee, eating their breakfast, and chatting about their day. Kennedy kept her head down not wanting to make any eye contact with anyone. After what seemed like an eternity Kennedy found room 202 and walked into the classroom. Professor Simmons was already there getting ready for class. Kennedy looked at her phone and saw she had twenty minutes to class and a message from her brother. Maybe she was too early. She looked up and searched for a spot and decided on one that wasn’t too close to the front but not too close to the back. She made a mental note to come to class this early because there weren’t many students in here yet. Kennedy sat down taking off her backpack and jacket and pulled out her notebook and some pens. She knew a lot of students will opt for a laptop or even an ipad but there was something about pen and paper that she loved besides this was math so a laptop probably wouldn’t be useful. She decided to open her phone and read the message from her brother Jonathan.
Hey, Ken! Good luck on your first day of class. Sorry I couldn’t help you move in. Call or text if you need me. Miss you.
Kennedy sighed and closed her eyes. Jonathan was six years older than Kennedy he had already graduated from Kansas State University and was an officer in the Army. He had just been relocated to Fort Bragg in North Carolina. Jonathan wanted Kennedy to go to school in North Carolina but for whatever reason her heart was set on going to Salem State. Jonathan and Kennedy only had each other now. Their parents had died in a car accident when Kennedy was just twelve. Jon had become her legal guardian and stayed with her in Kansas until she went off to college. Kennedy still had a hard time with her parents’ death; she was extremely close with both of them. Even now thinking about it she felt a golf ball rise in her throat and tears pricking her eyes. She quickly shook and it off and texted her brother back.
Thanks should be a good class. I’ll let you know if I need anything. No big deal on helping me move in! My new roommate Colleen and her family helped a lot. Love you.
She sent the text, put her phone on vibrate, and stowed it away in her backpack. She tucked her long straight black hair behind her ear and began to doodle on her paper. She was very focused on her doodle until she heard a small cough. Kennedy looked up blinking in confusion. A tall very good-looking boy stared down at her. He had short dark black hair (that looked even darker than her own) it was slightly tousled with the bangs slightly flipped up, the jell in it glistened slightly and his skin was an olive tan color but seemed almost pale like he hadn’t seen the sun in days. What was most memorable about this boy standing before her was his eyes they were a shocking shade of violet. Kennedy furrowed her brows in confusion wondering how on earth anyone could possibly have purple eyes? Was he blind? Suddenly her thoughts were broken by his velvety husky voice.
“Um I’m sorry but are you listening to me?”
“What?” Kennedy asked in surprise making a mental note to google purple eyes later. The strange boy chucked.
“I said is this seat taken?” Kennedy shook her head and the boy sat down and after taking out his notebook and pens he turned and stared at her fiercely. Kennedy looked back down at her paper. She felt heat rise to her face as she felt his eyes on her. The boy cleared his throat and reluctantly she turned and looked at him.
“Do you have a tickle in your throat?” She asked sarcastically.
“No.” The boy simply said with a smirk. Kennedy frowned and felt very awkward. Did this person have no social grace?
“Well…can I help you?” Kennedy knew she was being rude but she didn’t really want to be bothered. The boy smiled at her politely, she noticed he had deep dimples in both of his cheeks.
“I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m Everett Matthews.” Everett stuck out his hand still smiling. Kennedy looked at his hand skeptically.
“Kennedy Heart.” Kennedy said taking his hand shaking it. His hand was very soft and very hot but not sweaty. She looked down at his hand in confusion and quickly pulled it away. She went back to her paper trying her best to ignore him. He kept looking at her until finally the class started. Kennedy was relieved that she had something else to pay attention too. Everett was very unusual she decided.
After what seemed like a very long class Kennedy packed up her stuff and began to walk out. She was extremely annoyed. Everett stared at her almost the entire class, which was obviously very distracting “Didn’t he have anything better to do? Like maybe taking notes? ” She wondered. She was so annoyed at his audacity to gawk at her that she didn’t even notice her phone was buzzing for a few seconds. She pulled her phone out of her jacket pocket and saw the caller was her new roommate Colleen O’Malley.
“Hello?” Kennedy answered.
“Kennedy! Are you hungry?” Colleen chirped happily. Kennedy looked at her phone and saw that it was ten am.
“I guess I could eat…I forgot to grab breakfast. Why?” Kennedy asked
“I’m starved. The cafeteria is serving brunch if you’re interested? We could wait till lunch if you want.”
“No, food now is good.” Kennedy said thoughtfully.
“Great, I’ll meet there.” Colleen said excitedly and hung up the phone.
Kennedy was thankful for Colleen. Colleen was upbeat and extremely extroverted. Kennedy wasn’t a complete introvert and definitely wasn’t a loner but she preferred to quietly watch movies, read books, or draw. Colleen would make sure she got out and socialized. Colleen reminded Kennedy of her best friends at home Stephanie and Lucy. They both stayed in Kansas and were both devastated by Kennedy’s decision to move all the way to New England for school and now that her brother moved to North Carolina it would be difficult for her to see them back in Kansas over the holidays. Kennedy decided to call them later.
Before heading into the cafeteria Kennedy ducked into the bathroom. She went over to the sink and splashed some water on her face. She looked at the girl in the mirror. Her ivory colored skin was splotched with red and her bright blue colored eyes looked almost manic. That class really stressed her out. Which was really frustrating because that was the class she looked most forward to. She decided right then and there to avoid Everett Matthews. Maybe she’ll come a little late on Wednesday and find a different seat. She was annoyed with that though because she found the perfect spot. With a sigh she left the bathroom and walked into the cafeteria to find her roommate waiting for her.
Colleen was the embodiment of sunshine Kennedy decided. Colleen had shoulder length golden blonde hair, bright green eyes, and toasty tan skin. She was warm and friendly; she always had a smile on her face. Colleen was from Virginia Beach. Colleen hugged Kennedy tightly when she saw her.
“How was your first day, roomie?”
“It’s not over yet.” Kennedy said glumly
“That’s not a good attitude to have. It’ll be a very long semester for year if you keep that up.” Colleen said with a smile. They both grabbed some breakfast food and sat at a table.
“Seriously though why do you look so upset, Ken? Was calculus harder than you expected?” She looked at Kennedy with concern now.
“No, no. Not at all.” Kennedy said with a sigh. “It was a great class…just ugh. There was this guy next to me…” Kennedy trailed off. Colleen’s eyes gleamed wickedly.
“Oooohhh was he attractive?” Colleen asked brightly. Kennedy glowered at her friend.
“That’s really not the point. He would not stop staring at me and I couldn’t focus. It’s really hard to concentrate when someone is literally sitting there just staring. So I missed like most of the lecture.” Kennedy spilled out. She crossed her arms angrily.
“I’m sorry that doesn’t sound like a big enough problem that would ruin this gorgeous day. Maybe he just thought you were incredibly beautiful.” Colleen stated. Kennedy snorted.
“Yeah, okay.” She picked up her muffin and bit into it.
“Hold on.” Colleen said suddenly looking past Kennedy. “Is that him?” Kennedy turned around her cheeks flushing again. It was him all right and he was sitting at a table with a couple guys and he was staring at her.
“Seriously? What is his deal!” Kennedy exclaimed throwing her hands up into the air in exasperation. Colleen laughed heartily.
“Who knows? Just ignore him. Anyways, there’s this party tonight…”
“Colleen O’Malley. No.” Kennedy said sternly.
“Kennedy Heart, yes. This is a great opportunity to make friends. Plus I know for a fact you didn’t go to an actual party in Kansas.” Colleen said smiling. Kennedy pursed her lips and thought about this. This was true she had never been to a party and it would be a good way to get to know more people. Colleen watched her friend consider this and her smile deepened.
“Pleeeasseeee come with me. What else are you going to do tonight? Homework? It’s our first day of freshman year it can seriously wait. Come on out and have fun tonight.” Kennedy sighed. She was sold.
“Okay fine. But I’m not planning on drinking too much or anything and I don’t want to stay till 3am. I want to be back in our room by AT LEAST one. Preferably twelve.” Kennedy said standing up and putting her jacket back on.
“You have my word.” Colleen said throwing her arms around Kennedy. “Yay! I’m so excited. Our very first college party! I can hardly wait.”
“Oh yeah…I can hardly wait,” Kennedythought bitterly, glancing at Everett quickly. He was still staring.
