Tumblr's searching method for posts while on your account is almost comically inconvenient.
First off, private posts/reblogs made by you don't show up no matter what you search, even if you go by tags. Even if it's recent.
This is my dang account! Why would I want it to be private to ME?
"Well just copy and paste the link of your private posts!"
I don't wanna open up Google Docs every time I do that! Even if I did use this method the whole thing would be a hassle to me personally.
Plus, as far as I can tell, in mobile, you literally CAN NOT get links from private posts. This is especially true if you have a post you didn't reblog, and wrote and made yourself, in which case the share button is nonexistent and you can't go to the OG poster, because you ARE the OG poster, and there's no share link!
It doesn't even really matter if they have tags, are public or not, because even if they do and they are, if they're too old, or buried under too many posts, it seems like they don't show up even if your post is public.
Can't remember any specific tags, but you can recall what the post is about, a sentence, or a specific word?
Too bad! It STILL won't show up if you search for it!
Aaasyuugggg! This is so awful, and I'm very mad!
I was only able to find my public post I was looking for after scrolling for literally 23 minutes! This shouldn't be a thing!
And what's up with not having some kind of filter thingie for your blog? What if I wanna find my first three posts I ever made without scrolling for ages? Why can't I do that? Huh?
What if I wanna see only the posts I'm tagged in? What if I only want to see posts that have tags? Or only posts that aren't reblogs?
If there IS a way to filter, or sort through things, I haven't found it on the mobile app!
"Just use the web version thenâ"
My computer is in the room where my sleeping Grandma is, do you THINK I want to take time to get it and boot-up my 7+ year potato computer?
(This is the exact reason why I never use the Spotify app on phone (honestly I don't even use it on PC anymore either), because basic things like PICKING A SONG is available on PC with zero restrictions (as long as an ad doesn't play) but you have to go through some kind of 3-minute intermission since the app plays a song you don't give a hoot about and isn't even in your playlist, before your entire playlist shuffles and shoffles around for NO APPARENT REASON!)
I hope there's some kind of convenient addon or thing I just didn't ever catch or something, because this is incredibly annoying!
"Wow! You don't seem to want to compromise at all! That's a massive you-problem! Maybe if you lowered your standardsâ"
No. This type of thing is over nearly every other fairly-popular app where you interact with others. So why is it such a chore for Tumblr to implement it?
I shouldn't have to be inconvenienced by something that is solved on every-other social platform!
Yes, it is a me problem that I don't want to scroll all over my blog to look for that one post, but this me problem doesn't exist on whatever other social sites I go on!
#it's like almost-11#but I need to rant SO bad!#it's been bugging me ever since I got on here!#aaaahhhhh! I'm gonna be so#so annoyed if there's an easy solution in missing#I couldn't find anything when searching on Google for solutions#meaning it's extremely common knowledge#or I'm just lame for having this problem#likely the latter#I bet these ramblings are very not-coherent#can't wait to wake up tomorrow and see that I don't know English#like watch#quick access#this post is not gonna show in like a month from now

Getting You Alone Isnât Easy
summary: two reckless lovers, one ill-timed call, and zero chance of stopping
warnings: suggestive but not explicit
a/n: the length of time it took me to decide on a title for this was painful
word count: 1.5k
part 1
-
Youâre draped over Alexia, straddling her in the faint, golden light that sneaks through the blinds. Her hands grip your hips in that familiar way, like youâre the last thing keeping her from floating off. Youâre gasping, breathless, clinging to the taut warmth of her body beneath you as though the world is ending and this is your only way to stay grounded. Her hands, usually gentle, are digging in hard enough to leave bruises, but sheâs sweet like that, knows exactly when you need to feel it. You can almost picture the bruises theyâll leave behind, thumbprints like violet ink smudged across your skin, each one a reminder that she was here, and that she wanted you badly enough to leave a mark.
Itâs been a day, one of those long ones that started with a sun-blinded hangover, progressed into a searing headache, and thenâonce you forced yourself to actually acknowledge the calls you missed last nightâmoved rapidly toward near apocalyptic levels of panic.
Somewhere between the drink you had to âtake the edge offâ and the fourth one you drank without even thinking about it, Alexia texted you, and it felt like a solution, or maybe a distraction, though those two things are the same to you most of the time.
So here you are, in the thick of it, your bodies wrapped around each other, your mind slipping into that strange, dreamlike state where it feels like your skin isnât your own. Everythingâs heightenedâher touch, her scent, the whisper of her breath on your neck. Youâre right at the edge, teetering, and thenâ
Your phone rings.
Of course it fucking does.
At first, you ignore it. The vibrating hum is muffled against the sheets, barely noticeable above your own heartbeat, but then it rings again, louder this time, insistent. Itâs like a drill sergeant at dawn, determined to ruin whatever peace youâd managed to find. You freeze, eyes half-closed, but Alexiaâs hands donât loosen. Sheâs looking up at you with an expression thatâs half bemused, half annoyed, as if sheâs only just managed to convince herself that youâre here, and now youâre about to ruin it with some petty, buzzing bit of reality.
You almost get through it, on the cusp letting it go to voicemail or hurling the damn thing into the bottom of your Birkin where it belongs. But something in youâa survival instinct, maybeâforces you to reach for it, fumbling as you do so. Alexiaâs eyes follow your hand, then flick back up to yours with an exasperated look that says, Really? Now?
You manage to grab it without rolling entirely off her, though itâs a close call. Her hands move down to your waist, still holding you in place as you glance at the screen, and of course, itâs George. Itâs always George. You swear he has some kind of sixth sense, an uncanny ability to detect the exact moment youâve slipped into some semblance of happiness, so he can yank you back with some catastrophe or another. The man is a walking interruption.
âDonât,â Alexia murmurs, pulling you back to the matter at hand, her voice soft but firm, her hands slipping up to your ribs with a kind of slow, determined patience. But you know better. If you donât answer now, heâll only call back five more times, and each time, heâll sound more panicked, until he finally leaves you a voice note thatâs somehow worse than the call itself.
âI have to,â you mutter, as you answer, attempting to clear your throat and sound like you werenât just seconds away from giving in to everything she was doing to you.
âHello?â you say, trying and failing to keep the breathlessness out of your voice.
Georgeâs voice crackles through the speaker, shrill and brimming with that particular brand of theatrical urgency agents reserve for âcrises.â He sounds faintly nasal, the sort of voice you imagine would belong to a man with an allergy to anything fun. You imagine him sitting in his cold, grey office somewhere in Soho, every surface immaculate and white, his expression permanently fixed into a grimace of perpetual disappointment.
âYou need to sit down,â he says, voice pitched in that âIâm barely holding it togetherâ tone that never actually means anything good.
âI am sitting,â you manage, though it comes out sounding more like a gasp than anything else, because AlexiaâGod bless herâis now trailing her lips along the column of your throat, completely unbothered by the fact that youâre very much occupied now. In fact, youâre convinced sheâs doing this on purpose, her eyes meeting yours with that devilish glint that says sheâs fully aware of what sheâs doing. You pull back and give her a lookâpart warning, part exasperationâbut she only grins, slowly, like sheâs daring you to keep up the charade.
George doesnât miss a beat. âThere are photos,â he says, each syllable dripping with an ominous weight that would make anyone else think he was delivering news of a tragedy.
âPhotos?â you ask, as Alexiaâs hand slips a little higher, her fingers just grazing the edge of your panties. Youâre barely holding it together, biting down hard on your lip to keep from making a sound. âGeorge, there are always photos. What are you on about?â
He sighs, the kind of exasperated sigh he reserves for when heâs forced to explain the intricacies of your own life to you. âNot just any photos,â he says, voice dropping to a whisper that somehow makes everything sound worse. âThese are⊠explicitâ
âExplicit?â you repeat, your voice catching because Alexiaâs lips are trailing across your collarbone now, her fingers dangerously close to places that make it impossible to sound remotely professional. âDefine explicit, Georgeâ
He pauses, a beat of silence so thick with hesitation you can practically see his nervous, tight-lipped expression. âYou and Alexia. On that yacht. Full-on⊠everything. Letâs just say someone with a very long-range lens took a rather extensive interest in your⊠activitiesâ
It takes a second for the words to register, but when they do, itâs like being doused in cold water. Youâre suddenly hyper-aware of everythingâthe sweat on your skin, Alexiaâs fingers toying with you, her mouth now having moved to the swell of your exposed breast. You canât tell if youâre more annoyed or amused by the fact that, somehow, your most private moments have once again become public property.
Alexia looks up at you once more, eyes glinting with something between curiosity and enjoyment, as if she can tell exactly what George is saying and finds the whole thing hilarious.
âSo youâre telling me,â you say, trying to sound casual, though itâs hard with Alexiaâs hands and mouth all over you, âthat someone out thereâs publishing wildlife documentaries of my sex life?â
âDonât be flippant,â George snaps, though his voice cracks a little, like heâs barely holding it together. âThis is serious. The Daily Mail already has them. And theyâre⊠well, theyâre explicit. The kind of thing theyâd plaster on the front page if they could get away with itâ
For a moment, you consider the insanity of it allâyour life, reduced to some tawdry tabloid spread, the kind of thing boring nosey housewives read in supermarket queues. You imagine the headlines, the breathless, shocked tones theyâd use to describe âthe scandal.â Never mind the fact that youâre not the first celebrity to get caught like this, nor will you be the last. But still, it stings in that strange, twisted way fame always does, a reminder that your life isnât really your own.
âIâm sorry, George,â you say, barely stifling a moan as Alexiaâs hand moves just right, making it almost impossible to keep up the conversation. âBut I donât exactly have a solution for you right nowâ
George lets out a strangled noise. âWell, you bloody well better come up with one. Unless you want the world to know what you look like without your clothes on. Which, I might add, is not exactly⊠career-friendlyâ
You stifle a laugh, more out of habit than anything else. Alexiaâs fingers are moving with that slow, calculated patience she knows drives you mad, and you can feel your resolve slipping. âLook, George,â you say, your voice strained, âIâll call you back. After I⊠handle thingsâ
âWhat? You canât just hang up on me!â he practically shrieks, but youâre already pressing âend callâ and tossing the phone aside.
The phone lands back somewhere on the bed, Georgeâs panicked voice cutting off abruptly. For a moment, thereâs silence, and then Alexia lets out a low, throaty laugh, her eyes alight with amusement. She reaches her free hand up, trailing her fingers along your jaw, and thereâs something wicked in her smile that makes you forget the world outside the bedroom.
âWhere were we?â you murmur, leaning down to capture her lips in a kiss, slow and lingering, the kind of kiss that makes you forget everything else.
âRight here,â she whispers, her voice soft but possessive, and you canât help but smile as she pulls you back down, your bodies tangling once more as you lose yourself in her warmth.

đïž star-crossed lovers ă èćčžăȘæäșș ă âŠ
summâ©ry âââ As rehearsals and promotions for your big collab stage with Enhypen become progressively more intense, you and Niki face challenges that might effect your secret relationship and standing with the company...
pâ©iring âââ idol!niki x popstar!reader PREVIOUSLY
contâ©ins âââ band au, fluff, secret romance, kissing + a slightly heated make-out scene, mild bullying, LOTS of drama, reader is younger than Niki, 3.6k words
It felt strange having your hair, makeup, and clothes managed by someone else, especially in such a meticulous way.
Today was the big day of the Riot Grrlz x Enhypen fan meeting that Hybe was hosting in honor of your upcoming collaboration stage, the event acting as some sort of promotional.
The fashion theme for the day, as decided by the likes of an online poll distributed by Enhypen's Instagram account, was 'Schoolgirl / Schoolboy,' which meant everyone would be dressed in plaid neck ties and neatly-ironed button-down blazers.
âThis'll have to do,â murmured one of the makeup artist's on duty, simply dusting you with a bit of blush, some gloss, and shimmery eye shadow because they couldn't find a foundation shade that matched your skin color.
âI can't find my contact solution!â Serenity exclaimed frantically in the dressing studio, searching through her sparkly teal duffle bag for the fifth time this hour.
Of course none of you were willing to assist her on the aimless contact solution hunt, especially not with the way she verbally harassed the makeup crew for not "lining her eyes right."
âJust let it go, Ren,â Sunghoon said with an annoyed sigh, âthe stylists are making all of us wear glasses for the concept today anyways...â
âOkay first of all, don't call me by my nickname. Second, it's not my vision I'm worried about, but my image,â she clarified matter-of-factly, âI wanna impress the Korean fans with a big and bright boba eye moment...â
âYou have sooo many problems,â Jade added with a similar irritation, rolling her eyes at the diva before a hairstylist ran over to clip in another track of fake hair.
âTell me about it,â Serenity huffed despairingly, sticking her arms out like a scarecrow as the fashion crew adjusted the belt around her waist.
âLet's just try and maintain a good mood before the meeting guys,â you started optimistically amongst the tension, âthe fans might pick up on our bad energy if we all show up pouting like this...â
âEasy for you to say,â Niki replied teasingly, âyou slept like a baby last night⊠meanwhile, you kept me up with your insistent snoringâŠâ
âDid not,â you whined in protest, looking back at his attractively playful expression, âitâs not my fault that the stories you tell in your groggy bedtime voice are so relaxing.â
Niki meant to reply but was rudely interrupted by Serenityâs stinky attitude, âAww, late night bonding moment, I see? Hope a little âstory timeâ was as far as it got for you two lovebirds...â
You and Niki shook your heads in unison at her senseless comment, the rest of Enhypen and your band mates soon rushing out of the dressing room and outside to the awaiting limousine as the schedule manager directed.
âMake sure you have everything you need, guys! Weâre running a bit behind on time and canât afford any more set-backs,â exclaimed a tall, broad man in athletic wear, a black Hybe hat topping off his look.
âGot it, sir,â Jungwon replied politely, double-checking his leather cross-body bag before stepping into the vehicle, the rest of you following after him.
You didnât expect to see Miss Kim in the front seat with the chauffeur, but you greeted her nonetheless.
âMorning, Miss Kim!,â You and Hearin started enthusiastically.
âMorning, Riot Grrlz,â she returned while not looking at any of you, writing hasty yet neat notes down on her clipboard, âIâll be bold and assume you ladies have never attended any sort of fan event, correct?â
âY-yes, that is correct,â Jade answered before you, crossing her legs in her seat, âthisâll be our very first experience todayâŠâ
âOh, thatâs cool for you then, isnât it? Donât worry if you donât know what to say or do, by the way... just copy us,â you heard Heeseung encourage somewhere behind you, but your mind was more focused on the way Nikiâs hand accidentally brushed against yours while you two glared out of the same window...
Accidentally⊠maybeâŠ
âI was just getting around to that, Heeseung,â Miss Kim continued after clearing her coffee-stained throat, âKorean fans as a whole are pretty cutthroat, and whether youâre a foreigner or not, they expect you to present yourself a certain wayâŠâ
âPerfect,â Sunoo thought out loud, âthey expect you to be perfectâŠâ
âThatâs just the way this idol life goes, I'm afraid,â Jungwon sighed from his seat, not empathetically, but in a realistic sense.
âEither way, you girls should be safe to mirror whatever the boys are doing if you ever feel confusedâŠâ Miss Kim trailed off, the limo being just a few feet from reaching the fan meeting center, âGood luck today, you all.â
â¶ïž áá||á|á||||áâââââá| âą âą âą
Things were turning out surprisingly smooth at the event, to say the least.
Needless to mention, you and Niki stayed pretty close the entire time, and the fans seemed to be amused by your attempt at famous duo heart poses with him.
âJust extend your hand like this,â he instructed while giggling, watching as your overhead heart ended up looking more like an oval to the audience.
Serenity was received as a fan favorite, too, her âboba eyeâ look captivating the male attendees while others were more entertained in her beginner Korean skills.
âHwaiting,â she exclaimed confidently before the fans one too many times for your tolerance, Sunghoonâs face clearly showing just how much he was enjoying not being the cringiest person in the room for once.
Or, at least that was until an older fan requested that he and Sunoo sing and dance to the infamous aeygo Ottoke song for good luck at the show tomorrow.
âThe things we do for engene,â the two boys collectively thought to themselves while fastening coquette bunny ears atop their heads, hoping that their enthusiasm would override the embarrassment.
It was all just such a culture shock for you and your group.
âUhhh, a little help here?â Haerin worriedly called out to Jake as a particularly excited Korean fan approached her with a lot to say that she could barely understand.
âOh- allow me,â Jake offered between the language barrier, translating to Haerin what the fan was trying to tell her.
âShe thinks Iâm a what now?â
âA K-pop Idol, mostly because of your trendy look today,â Jungwon giggled warmly, âthe prophesied eighth member of Enhypen, in fact...â
Haerin laughed with both embarrassment and flattery, trying her best to explain to the young fan that she was a member of the Riot Grrlz and Riot Grrlz only.
Interactive activities continued just as well after this, the event nearing its end as you and Niki did a few TikTok dance challenges for the fans on stage.
Dance challenges that you had practiced with him in eery hours of the night, or whenever you two were left alone in the dance studio.
That, alongside other things too⊠like stealing sweet kisses here and there⊠or nearly melting while staring into each others love struck eyesâ
â____, right?â A fan asked, approaching you with a blue marker and square of paper.
âYes, thatâs me. Nice to meet you,â you returned, keeping eye contact with her, despite the dark shades she wore.
âNice to meet you, too! I have so many questions to ask you about what itâs like working with Enhypen!⊠and I really like your hair, too! The highlights look really nice with your outfit hehe⊠ALSO, I've been listening to a lot of your groups songs recently, and my favorite has to be the main track from your most recent album, itâs so unique!âŠâ the fans voice eventually trailed off shyly.
âOh my goodness, sorry for rambling!! Uhmmm, can I get your autograph by any chance?â
âAww, thank you,â you smiled brightly, âand itâs okay! I find it cute how interested you are in my experience and musicâŠâ
Your hand reached out to grab the marker from her grasp, your body leaning forward slightly as you signed your name on the photo, resting your weight on the desk before you.
So lost in the moment, you didnât even realize that the photo you had just signed was one of you and Niki hanging out just outside of Yeouido Park the other night.
It was impossible to hold back the gasp that escaped your throat at the realization, your finger loosing its grip around the marker as your stunned eyes met her knowing ones.
âLook like youâve seen a ghost,â she chuckled in a facetiously sweet tone, you and her hands fighting over the now autographed-polaroid before your grip overthrew hers.
âWhere did you get thatââ
âYour secretâs safe with me, alright?â She interrupted with a sharp whisper, âSo long as you work on distancing yourself from Niki moving forwardâŠâ
You blinked in feigned confusion at her words, âI donât know what youâre talking about, weâre just colleaguesââ
âAnd heâs an idol,â she cut in again, âidols donât belong to silly American girls like you⊠you donât even belong in our worldâŠâ
At this point, you're certain she could see how upset you were with her, and you didn't even care to hide it. âEveryone has welcomed me here, expect for you⊠and to what gain? Iâm here with my band solely for work purposes, and I can assure you there is nothing you have to worry about concerning my professionalism.â
Your strong reply seemed to have rubbed her the wrong way, one of her hands fastening the bag over her shoulder while the other adjusted the glasses sitting at her nose.
âThank you for your time,â she nearly growled at you, that same phony smile plastered to her lips before she hurriedly walked away, disappearing into the crowd of fans.
You let out a breath that you didn't even know you'd been holding, trying to calm yourself down before anyone noticed the silent commotion that had occurred on your side of the meeting booth.
All you could do was hope that this was the only copy or evidence of you and Niki hanging out that night as you folded the paper into a small square, tucking it under your sleeve in a way that no one would notice.
Above all though, you were just glad that the event was coming to an end soon, a few on-set staff members already helping to put away some stage props, meanwhile Sunoo, Heeseung, and Jade helped themselves to bringing along some gifts from fans.
âHey... uhm, Heeseung? Can I-â
âYes, Jade,â Heeseung answered with a giggle, âyou can have all of my kitty plush gifts...â
â¶ïž áá||á|á||||áâââââá| âą âą âą
The limo ride back to the HYBE building was quiet, the sole thought roaming in the back of your mind being that one fan's cruel wordsâŠ
âŠđŽđȘđđđș đđźđŠđłđȘđ€đąđŻ đšđȘđłđđŽ đđȘđŹđŠ đșđ°đ¶âŠ đșđ°đ¶ đ„đ°đŻâđ” đŠđ·đŠđŻ đŁđŠđđ°đŻđš đȘđŻ đ°đ¶đł đžđ°đłđđ„...
It wasnât like you were trying to infiltrate the world of K-pop.
You and your group were simply expanding your collab horizons upon being invited, and it seriously boggled you how anyone would have a problem with thatâ
âKnock knock,â Niki said with a smile in his voice from behind the door to your private backstage dressing room, waiting for your cue that it was safe for him to come in.
âYou can come in, Niki,â you replied softly, standing in front of the body length wall mirror while struggling to fix your hair into a suitable style for the stage practice in a few minutes.
âHi,â you greeted again once he reached you, watching as his eyes traced your reflection, almost immediately picking up on your nervous demeanor.
âYou did great today, ____, yâknow that?â He started with a low voice, guiding your stressed hands away from your head and resting them at your sides.
âNiki, I have to get readyââ
âAnd you already look more than prepared,â he encouraged, securing his hands around your waist before leaving a kiss below your ear, âgorgeous, even...â
âThanks,â you answered shyly, somehow already feeling a bit better about things now that he was near you.
âSo. Are you gonna tell me whatâs got you upset or are we gonna make this a guessing game?â He teased, making you chuckle a bit as his attempt to cheer you up.
Your eyes fell to the floor, his grip on you loosening as a little sigh escaped your freshly glossed lips.
âA fanâŠ,â you began quietly, âat the meeting today⊠she asked me to sign this photo.â
Reaching into your bra, you pulled out the mysterious square photo and watched with a pout as Niki carefully unfolded it from each corner.
âI⊠I donât understandâŠâ he stuttered, eyes glazing over the sight of you and him holding hands at the firework show that night.
âI know, itâs my fault thatââ
âNoâŠ,â he interrupted your words before meeting your guilt-ridden eyes, âI donât understand why youâre letting this get to youâŠâ
âExcuse me?â You asked with a confused expression, âif something like this gets out, it could ruin both of our careers, yâknow?â
âSure,â he responded nonchalantly with a shrug, âbut I couldnât care less about some jealous sasaengâs creepy little photo fest⊠by now, itâs gonna take a lot more than an innocent, harmless photo of us hanging out to make me question our status in this field.â
âYou never take anything seriously, Nishimura,â you smiled with a sigh, shaking your head as you watched his fingers tear the photo to pieces.
âWell youâre definitely an exception to that trait of mine,â he smirked, tucking the torn shreds of paper into his back pocket before finding your face in his hands, placing a tender kiss to your left cheek.
âHow sweet of you to say,â you whispered softly, grabbing the neckline of his shirt and pulling him closer to your height, ânow how about you kiss me properly this time?â
He hummed at your teasing tone, sharp features softening as he tilted his head, sealing the space between you and him with the sweet kiss youâd been waiting for.
âIâll never get tired of this,â Niki sighed against your lips, his right hand removing the rubber band securing your ponytail so his fingers could roam freely through your curls.
Things were escalating pretty quickly now, both of your breaths sounding more labored with each second as you stumbled backwards onto the desk, his energy leading the kiss as he remained on top of you.
It was almost more than you could handle, his hands roaming at your sides before your eyes barely fluttered open, the sight of his slightly blushed button-nose making you feel like melting on the spot.
Thats when you realized his pink hue was a result of two reasons: (1) The way your hands shyly clung to his shoulders right now, and (2) the shadow of footsteps peeking behind your dressing room door.
Knock, knock, knock.
âHello? Miss ____, its Kim... Are you decent?â
âErm, one second!â You responded in an obvious frantic.
Niki helped you get up from the vanity table, kneeling down quickly to hide himself under the it as the stern lady made her way into the room anyway.
âSorry to intrude,â she began abruptly, not even taking note of your currently disheveled hair and flushed expression, âbut Iâve unfortunately been appointed as the bearer of bad news for todayâŠâ
âOh... uhm, w- what is it, is everyone alright?â You asked with a concerned tone, trying to take your mind off the fact that a Niki stained with the glimmer of your peach flavored lipgloss all over his mouth was literally under your desk right now, a mere two feet away from Miss Kimâs leather boots.
âFor the most part, yes⊠but it concerns one of your band mates⊠Serenity, specifically⊠Since you are the leader of your group, I found it humble to have at least this much respect to tell you first in private.â
You let out a breath, closing your eyes for a moment before opening them back up, restoring your usually confident aura and making eye contact with the woman.
âThank you, Miss Kim⊠Iâm listeningâŠâ
â¶ïž áá||á|á||||áâââââá| âą âą âą
The sounds of shoes rhythmically scuffing, mics going in and out of focus, and layered fits of heavy breathing filled your ears for the next two hours.
Design tech, stage directors, and performers alike were giving it their all to perfect things before the big show coming up.
You paced around the shiny stage, a sweat rag secured lazily around your neck as you and the Enhypen members just got through with rehearsing the main choreo at the performing arena for the first time.
Everyone except Jay and Jade that is, who were still busy with working on their guitar duet for the intro show backstage with the music writers.
âI have no idea how you can still see after being in front of these bright stage lights all the time,â you huffed out tiredly, glancing at Sunoo who only shrugged while taking a few gulps from his grey water bottle.
âIâm not too sure either, but for the lot of us, itâs just something you have to get used to,â he tried warmly before letting himself fall on the ground, limbs spread out like an exhausted snowman as sweat trickled down his forehead.
âHere, lemme show you a little trick I like to use,â Niki offered with a smile while approaching you from behind, his larger frame casting a shadow before you.
âLook down there,â he started, guiding your waist with one hand as he pointed ahead of you with the other, âdo you see the tech crew down there?â
You looked to where his finger was pointing, eyes being met with the sight of workers who sat in reclining chairs while others drank some coffee, a few sporadic employees carrying clipboards with stacks of paper, giving out orders to their fellow floor members.
âYeah, I see them,â you answered, making Niki laugh slightly for reasons you didnât fully understand.
âThat means youâre too close then,â he replied, still holding your waist as he guided you to take a few steps back, which ended up being more steps for you given the leg length differences.
âThereâs a rule of thumb that if you can see the audience, they canât see you⊠are the lights still bothering you now?â
âNot as much, actually,â you said, turning to face him as he still held you close, everything in your body fighting not to kiss him in this moment given the way he looked back at you, âthanks againâŠâ
âAnytime,â he smirked smuggly, âbut uhhh, I think people might be looking at us nowââ
âOh,â you giggled shyly, backing a few inches away from him.
âAhem,â a nagging voice cleared from beside you two, breaking the wholesome presence of the moment.
âDo you guys think youâre invisible or something?â Serenity asked, crossing her arms while staring the both of you up.
âUhmâŠ. No?â Niki answered for you, furrowing his eyes at the blue-eyed diva.
âThen whyâre you just standing there? Youâre blocking my lightâŠâ
You let out a scoff at her words, feeling baffled at the thought of how insecure girls like her could have such egotistical tendencies.
âSorry, SerenityâŠ,â you said half-heartedly, âdidnât mean to disturb your⊠solo mid-break practice session...â
âReally appreciate it, leader lady,â she replied sarcastically, very intentionally bumping into your shoulder as she walked past you before stopping in her tracks, a loose copy of the stage schedule getting caught under her baby pink sneakers.
She leaned down to pick it up, examining the text before her eyes stumbled over a line of bolded words. All of this was for reasons she didnât understand, but either way, would soon resent.
âUgh?!!â She exclaimed with a confused scoff, âHYBE is kicking me from the show??â
Your eyes widened at her words, the furious, confused, and torn look on her face doing nothing but make Niki smirk to himself, âSerenity, I can explainââ
âAnd you knew about this, didnât you?â She accused with balled fists, looking between your nervous face and Nikiâs shamelessly proud one.
âI just found out today, okay? But Miss Kim specifically instructed me not to say anything about until she revealed it to you herself after practice,â you clarified with a shaky voice.
âPlease,â she said with a scoff, âAnd whatâs with the face, Nishimura Nimrod? Huh!? Your little girlfriend told you before she told me, her own band matââ
âI didnt tell him anything!â You retorted with a slightly raised voice, cracking with nerves you couldn't keep buried anymore.
You never liked being in the hot seat unless you were sitting there with Niki, thanks to his ability to always maintain his cool under pressure...
However, for some reason, even with him next to you right now, you still felt like hurling yourself to the ground.
âYou had to have told me him something, so just stop with your insistent lies, ____,â Serenity spat, poking a finger in the center of your chest. Hard.
âYou couldnât wait to get rid of me, its been all over your rotten little face ever since we got here⊠Youâre so jealous of me and itâs honestly depressing at this pointâŠâ
Oh Serenity, you thought in your mind, if only you knew this was all brought on by yourselfâŠ
Youâd had enough of her ignorant speech, holding a fierce eye contact with her while trying to conceal the tears forming behind your eyes.
The sadness growing in your heartâŠ
âNone of this was my decision, Ren, so if you have a bone to pick with someone, try taking it up with Miss Kim herself,â you said firmly, walking back a few steps in case she tried touching you again, âI'm sure she'd be more than happy to inform you on her reasons for exiling you from the main activitiesâŠâ
âWhatâs going on you guys?â Haerin asked timidly in the midst of the chaos, having just come back from washing up in the restroom.
Serenity practically burned holes in your face with her venomous glare before turning sharply on her heel, footsteps loud and startling as she marched off the stage, murmuring a string of curses under her breath.
âSoooo,â Sunghoon started with a curious accent, âIâm usually not the best at comprehending things, but Iâm assuming that whatever just happened was a lot more serious than the usual Riot Grrlz drama, correct?â
âYeah, what's the big deal ____?,â Jade asked alongside Jake, who gave your shoulder a comforting shake.
You fought with everything in your body to not to let any tears fall...
Because in this moment, it just felt right to cry, but at the same time, was it really worth appearing weak in front of everyone?
Everyone who counted on you to remain strong?
You exhaled with a deep breath, wiping the pricks of moisture from your eyes before speaking, âSerenity wonât be performing with us for the special stage anymore⊠only the ending song.â
A cacophony of gasps filled the room at your words, Jungwon having picked up the loose schedule copy to analyze it for himself, the bolded words reading:
>> SERENITY TAYLOR Authorized to be PULLED from Furthering Her Performance Activities in Sight of Behavioral Decency Violations Under HYBE's Collaboration and Code of Conduct Standards
âWill she be allowed to attend the award show at least,â Heeseung inquired, not out of empathy, but curiosity as all of this was unfolding pretty fast.
âPerhaps, but for now, we can rest on the thought that weâll have one less problem while preparing from here on out,â you answered, feeling a large hand take your hand in theirs before giving it a gentle squeeze.
Niki.
âEither way, the show must go on you guys,â he said with a deep voice, the faintest smile being on his face as he looked back at you, dark eyes sparkling with sincerity.
The stage lights flickered from ahead and above you, a key indicator that the radio would be picking up again soon, playing the instrumental to your practice track.
âMic check everyone and itâs back to rehearsals in five,â yelled out a staff member from below the stage, the ten of you now lining up in formation while adjusting your headsets around your ears.
There was only one thought that remained in your head as the choreographer hopped up center stage to explain how the performance would accommodate for Serenity's sudden absence:
The show must go on.

Your eyes bounced fervently back and forth between your masterâs and Anakinâs, not even bothering to hide the shock you were sure was etched into your expression. âYou canât be seriousâ
âDo I look like Iâm jokingâ came your masterâs quick reply, his tone alone enough to scold you for your loss in decorum, your posture snapping up reflexively as you schooled your face back to a more natural expression, unable to keep yourself from getting defensive.
âI just mean-â the hurried deflection rolled off your tongue before you could stop it, your masterâs unamused glare enough to keep the words from fully coming out. Taking a deep breath, you tried to better control yourself before you continued. âheâs a padawan, same seniority as me how could he train me?â
âHeâs also standing right hereâ Anakinâs gruff voice proved he was just as thrilled about this assignment as you, though you barely spared him a glance, keeping your gaze locked onto your masterâs, a silent plea for him to take it back.
âPadawan Skywalker is the best padawan with a saber by leagues I think he could be of great help to youâ And you knew that tone your master used here, one he reserved to tell you he was done discussing the matter.
Dejectedly you finally let your gaze slip over to Anakinâs, offering him a tight-lipped smile âI appreciate your help Padawan Skywalkerâ you nearly choked on the words, having to force them out of your throat.
Anakin in response said nothing, his arms crossed defensively over his chest as he let his eyes rake your figure quickly, letting your words hang uncomfortably in the air until your master finally broke the silence.
âTruly padawan Skywalker we appreciate everything you do for usâ He offered a small nod, clapping Anakin on the back.
âOf course master Koonâ and you didnât miss the way he offered your master a smile that didnât quite reach his eyes, nor the way he was happy to return a comment to your masterâs thanks but not your own. The two of you were already off to a great start to what was bound to be a very short apprenticeship.
With a small nod back in return Master Koon took his leave, leaving you and Anakin alone in the hallway, you looking up at the padawan expectantly, him pointedly avoiding your gaze as much as possible.
âLookâ you drew his attention back to you with a sigh âneither of us want to be doing this so how about we just forget this and go our separate ways?â
He raised an eyebrow up at you in response, clearly unimpressed by your proposed solution âI told Master Koon I would helpâ
âAnd how noble of you to do soâ you replied with a huff, crossing your arms over your chest to match his posture âbut since you clearly want to spend as much time with me as I do you this felt mutually beneficialâ
âIâve seen you fightâ he responded back with a small shake of his head âyou very obviously do need the helpâ
âBelieve me youâve made it abundantly clear what you think of my fighting skills in trainingâ you replied with a bitter laugh.
âWhen it takes your opponent less than a minute to get your saber out of your hand itâs hard to keep my comments to myselfâ
âIt does not-â and you cut yourself off before you could properly blow up, Anakin always having this weird affect on you, pushing you over the edge with little more than a tap. You werenât letting him get to you that easily this time. With a deep breath you tried to collect yourself âFine, when do you want to start?â
Anakin paused for a moment, doing nothing but survey you, probably curious as to why you hadnât started biting his head off yet, but nonetheless continued âafter dinner tonight, now come on we have battle strategies with master Kenobiâ
âYou were asked to help me train with my lightsaber, doesnât mean you have to walk me to class from now onâ you huffed but followed him down the hallway nonetheless.
âThen start jogging and weâll call this training tooâ he answered with a shrug.
-
You sat back trying to listen to Obi-wanâs lecture, finding yourself for the first time ever in this class unable to pay attention to the lecture, instead your focused was solely on the person next to you.
Anakin has spent the last several years making his feelings towards you abundantly clear. If the chiding remarks, the mocking comments, the downright insults were anything to go by then you could easily say that he didnât seem to like you that much. And you had to say by this point the feeling was mutual.
Heâd spent all of his time in this class in particular sitting on the other side of the room, pointedly the chair that was just about as far away from you as possible, something you were sure the rest of the padawanâs had picked up on by this point. And that would explain why now that he not only showed up to class with you in tow but took a seat next to your usual one the entire rooms attention seemed to subtly shift in your direction.
Not that the roomâs attention wasnât usually in his direction if you were being honest. Anakin was the jedi councilâs golden boy, the prophetic child that would bring balance to the force, as well as being a hell of a fighter with his light saber, and if you were being totally objective he wasnât exactly hard on the eyes. All of this meant he had a natural sort of charisma that seemed to draw the unconscious attentive weight of a room in his direction, a weight that now sat squarely on your shoulders as well.
This new attention combined with Anakinâs incessant knee bouncing meant your focus was on just about anything but the lecture at hand.
âYou know you donât need to babysit me in every other part of jedi trainingâ you whispered over to him, Anakinâs knee bouncing harmlessly against yours as he leaned in to listen and you fought the urge to pull your own back. Afterall this was your desk you werenât about to contort yourself so he could be more comfortable.
âIs this why you need my help?â he responded with an annoying smirk, leaning in even more as he whispered âbecause you struggle to pay attention in class?â
You narrowed your eyes back at him in response âIâll have you know-â
âPadawan Y/L/N, Skywalkerâ Obi-wanâs unamused voice broke through your whisper sharply, freezing you in place, your face now uncomfortably close to Anakinâs as every eye turned towards the two of you âis there something you would like to share with the classâ
âno Masterâ Anakin answered quickly, righting himself just as you did.
âPerhaps some insight on the battle then?â Obi-wan goaded, gesturing to the holomap before him, amusement sparkling in his eyes as he watched his padawan squirm beneath his gaze.
âWell I-â you could hear the lost tone in Anakinâs voice as he desperately searched for something to say, you having half a mind to let him sit in the hot seat before you let your eyes roam over the map, happy to see that you recognized the battle Obi-wan was walking you through.
âThe republicâs army comes from behindâ you offered before things could get too awkward, feeling Anakinâs gaze snap in your direction as you spoke âon that ridge over there, flanking the enemy forcing them to surrenderâ
Obi-wanâs gaze turned to yours with a warm smile as he nodded, no doubt knowing you would know the answer even if you hadnât been paying complete attention, before he flicked it back to his padawan, raising his eyebrows slightly as he spoke âvery good padawan Y/L/Nâ
He held Anakinâs gaze for a moment longer, an unspoken conversation happening between the two of them before Obi-wan continued lecture like usual, turning back to face the rest of the room.
Taking the opportunity you leaned back towards Anakin again âif thereâs one thing I donât need your help with, itâs this classâ
The smirk made another appearance on his mouth as he looked down at you, but this one felt different than before, warmer somehow, as he nodded ânoted princessâ
-
Whatever confidence you had bolstered from battle strategies quickly left you the minute you got to saber training.
Anakin was already in the center of the room, feet planted squarely on the mat as he spun his saber effortlessly around his body, concentration etched onto his face though you could tell even from across the room that he was just having fun with it. What you wouldnât give to be able to whip your saber around with such precision that it seemed almost careless.
âYou gonna come fight or having too much fun back there enjoying the show?â
You detested the amusement in his voice as you realized youâd spent much too long staring at him from the doorway. Unable to think of much of a response, you immediately cast your gaze down to your shoes, blindly making your way towards the mat, unclipping the saber from your belt.
âWhat no training sticks?â You asked with a bitter laugh as you turned on your lightsaber, giving it a half hearted twirl in your hand as you set your stance.
âDonât worry Iâll try not to hurt youâ he winked back as he did the same, making you fight the urge to roll your eyes.
You waited for him to make the first attack, the two of you spinning in a circle around one another, each waiting for the other to strike first.
Not once did that stupid smirk fall from his face, frustration rising more and more within you with each step until you couldnât take it anymore, deciding to suck it up and make the first move.
Swinging your saber down at him Anakin deflected the blow with little more than a flick of his wrist, barely moving from his original position no doubt in an attempt to show you how easily he could win if he wanted to. Fine, if thatâs how he wants to play it.
You barely gave yourself time to recover before making another swing, Anakin deflecting with another simple movement, but you were back at it. Blow after blow Anakinâs saber met yours at every thrust effortlessly, but still you push forward, kept getting closer, not even noting that Anakin never bothered to take a step back. Not noticing how close you got to him until his empty hand shot out mid swing, capturing your wrist and disarming you with a twist, your saber now held tightly in his hand.
Before you could even comprehend what had happened he yanked hard on your arm, twisting you wildly until your back came crashing against his chest, one arm holding your saber and wrapping around your waist to pin you against him the other pressing his blade right up against your throat.
You couldâve screamed in frustration, at how easily he had pinned you, at how effortlessly he seemed to be able to block everything you threw at him, at how close and vulnerable you were now that he had you now pinned against him.
âWhat is this some game for you? Are you just toying with me?â You spat back at him, not bothering to hide the anger in your voice.
You heard a deep chuckle from behind you, could feel it ruminate up through his chest as it pressed you even further into his chest before he spoke, voice low and right in your ear, his breath tickling the shell of it with each word âIâm teaching you princess. Now use that big brain of yours and figure something outâ
And you couldâve laughed at his so called advice, at how easy it is to tell someone to figure something out when you didnât have a saber against your throat.
Instead you decided you were done fucking around.
Picking your foot up you slammed it down hard on the jediâs left foot at the same time rearing your head back harshly to make contact with his nose, both attacks catching Anakin enough by surprise that he released his hold on you, stumbling back and releasing his grip on your saber enough that you could slip it from his grasp, pivoting on the spot and pointing the tip of the blade right at the jediâs throat.
Anakin in response held his nose in his hand, pinching the bridge of it as he completely ignored your saber pointed at him, giving you a disappointed glare from overtop of it.
He sniffed and wiggled his nose before shaking his head and bating off your saber with his own half-heartedly âyou know that trick wonât work anywhere but hereâ
âGood thing I donât need it to work anywhere but hereâ you returned with a smirk, stepping back a few feet before dropping back into a fighting stance.
Anakin offered nothing more than a disappointed sigh before he dropped into a stance of his own, giving his nose one last check before he launched forward to attack.
You had no problem dodging each of his blows, your body always out of the way of the arc of his saber. The issue arose when it came to deflecting them. Swing after swing your saber was always there to meet his but the effort of stopping each of the jediâs much more powerful swings had your arms shaking after mere minutes, your feet scrambling back to try and avoid the brunt of each blow as much as possible.
Anakin, however, seemed to zero in on your weakness immediately, never relenting as he swung again and again. You in response started to try and redirect each blow, hoping that redirecting the power of the swing would take the load off your arms.
That was until his saber seemed to hit yours at just the right speed, just the right angle, that the force of it reverberated down to your hands, your grip faltering for just a second but it was enough to have the cool metal of the hilt of your saber slip from your grasp.
Anakin hit immediately with another blow, effectively knocking your saber out of your hands.
You watched dejectedly as your saber slid out from your grasp and flew across the room. With a small sigh you held your empty hands up defensively ready for Anakin to sheath his saber and start listing off all the things you did wrong.
Instead you watched as Anakin stayed rigid in his position, lightsaber still held in front of you, knees still bent ready to strike.
âI get it, you win, Iâll get âem next timeâ you pushed mock enthusiasm into your voice as you started to make your way off the mat in the direction you saw your saber go when a blue column of light swung down just in front of you, barring your movement.
âSo in an actual battle your plan is just to give up when you lose your lightsaber?â Anakinâs chiding voice had you gritting your teeth as your head snapped in his direction, little more than an amused smirk on his face as he talked âmaybe offer your neck to the sith for an easy decapitationâ
âNo Iâll-â frustrated words died in your throat as you sought an end for your sentence. You were tired, sweat had your robes sticking to your torso uncomfortably and every muscle you had burned, now was not the time for his mind games.
âYouâll what?â he pushed forwards, retracting his lightsaber so it now was held in that defensive position you were now all to used to seeing him in.
âI donât know Iâll figure something outâ you shot back, crossing your arms over your chest.
âThen figure something outâ he goaded with a raised brow before striking, his saber moving slightly slower than you knew he was capable of, giving you plenty of time to side step out of the way.
âOkay I get itâ you called back to him as you dodged another swing, taking a step back towards the edge of the mat âyouâve made your pointâ
âIâve made my point when you stop thinking of this as just trainingâ he shot back with another swing of his saber, pushing forward forcing you to take another step back âthis isnât just to get through training so you can advance in the jedi ranks this is about survivalâ another swing, another dodge and another step back âthis is about making sure you stand a chance out on the battle fieldâ you felt the floor beneath your heels start to give way, your toes balancing on the edge of the mat âthis isnât some game Y/Nâ
You felt your irritation grow within you with each word. You knew this wasnât some game, you had been outside of the walls of the temple, you had been on a battle field, you knew you needed help with your fighting skills but who was he to decide after one day that you werenât taking this seriously enough.
You watched as he set up for his next attack, as his foot landed far out in front of him as he lunged forward, the whole world seeming to slow around you as you side stepped the saber, Anakinâs hand sailing past you effortlessly. Without a second thought you seized his wrist, giving it a small twist in the wrong direction as you pulled him forward with it, effectively knocking the jedi off his balance.
Before he could realize what was happening Anakin was sailing forward, past you, to the ground below as you pivoted around to face him from atop the mat, his lightsaber now clutched firmly in your grasp.
Spinning slightly in the air so that his shoulder first made contact with the floor Anakin slid a few inches on the ground, coming to a stop on his back and looking up at you only to see his own lightsaber pointed down at his throat.
âDo you want to offer up your neck for an easy decapitation now?â
And to your surprise you heard nothing back but a laugh. A sound you didnât think Anakin Skywalker was even capable of.
âThat was good Y/Nâ
You felt your feet faulter beneath you, your knees nearly giving out, was that a compliment?
Your mind was still reeling as you shut down his saber and dropped it to the ground next to you, because Anakin Skywalker did not compliment you. Tease, chastise, bully sure he did all of those things but never compliment. And he certainly didnât smile at you like he was doing now.
It was a weird sight to see, Anakin grinning from the ground below you, eyes twinkling slightly as his whole face changed with it, and to your horror you found a part of you liking the way it looked on him, as he extended his hand out to you.
Before you could even think better of it you reached out and grabbed his hand, helping to haul him to his feet, ignoring the slight tingle his touch left on your skin, blaming the way your cheeks felt hot beneath his gaze on the exertion of fighting him.
âYou may never overpower your opponent but youâre fastâ Anakin continued on as if nothing had changed, dusting himself off, the hint of a smile still playing on his lips as he talked âuse that, dodge until you have them making sloppy attacks then strike as soon as you canâ
It took you too long to notice that he was waiting for you to say something, little more coming out of your mouth than a half-hearted âyeahâ that had his brows drawing in confusion.
Stooping slightly, he came down to your eyelevel, nose nearly close enough to touch your own, and for a brief moment staring deeply into each eye before shaking his head softly âthat was probably too much for today wasnât itâ
Still you didnât respond, not sure if you couldâve if you tried, for some reason unable to pull your gaze from Anakin as he looked at you, fluffy hair framing his face perfectly as if you hadnât spent the last two hours dueling, as if you werenât drenched in sweat.
Anakin frowned back in response, a single hand coming out to tuck a piece of hair behind your ear before he could think better of it. Then bending down and picking up his lightsaber from where you had dropped it âget some rest princessâ
He spoke softly, softer than you had ever really heard him speak before he started to make his way towards the exit, leaving you standing on the edge of the mat, before he called out âI mean it, you did well todayâ
It was only after he left that it dawned on you, he had used your actual name.
-
Maybe it was naive of you to think that things could change so quickly.
That all it took was one decent lesson from him and the two of you could seamlessly slip into a weird sort of friendship.
Maybe you just wanted to believe you could put everything behind you so easily that you assumed he wanted to do the same.
Youâd heard people gush about Anakin Skywalker before. About how helpful he could be, how nice, how charming.
You never got to meet that side of Anakin Skywalker, the man locking that part of himself from you practically the moment he met you. But you had really thought you were starting to see it these past few weeks.
The teasing comments had started to disappear, or they at least lost all their edge, coming off as more inside jokes than anything. He walked you to class every day, some days going out of his way to find you before he started to head in that direction. Your personal space found itself being invaded by him more and more, Anakin no longer going out of his way to put as much distance between the two of you as possible. Lingering touches, wandering eyes, inside jokes that had the two of you seeking out each others gaze in crowded rooms to silently revel in what was just said in a way only the two of you would understand.
Anakin Skywalker was quickly becoming your friend.
It was why when you got notified you were heading out on a mission to track down a bounty hunter with him for the first time ever you werenât dreading the experience.
No you were actually excited.
Excited as you clipped your saber to your belt and headed out of your room.
Excited as you rounded the corner to head to your transport ship.
Excited as you stepped foot on the entrance ramp.
Excited as-
âI just donât understand why she has to come with meâ
It was as if a lead ball had dropped into your stomach. The excitement evaporating on the spot as a numbness took over and your step faltered, your body freezing in place just steps down from the ships entrance.
Because you knew that voice, but even worse you knew that tone. The anger, the contempt, the annoyance.
All it took was one simple phrase and you were ripped back into the same existence of just weeks ago before you had fallen for all of Anakin Skywalkers tricks.
âI agreed to train her and Iâve been doing that why does she have to hijack my missions nowâ
And you wished you could say his words didnât affect you. Afterall just a few weeks ago you wouldâve expected to hear them from him, youâd practically grown up hearing this resentment for merely existing in his vicinity.
Then why did they hurt so much now?
Why did they have a painful lump starting to grow in your throat?
Why did they make you wish the ground would swallow you whole on the spot?
Why did you ever think you could be friends with Anakin Skywalker?
âYes masterâ
Anakinâs final words snapped you from your daze but still you had to force your legs to move you forward slowly, making sure that as Obi-wan exited the ship you were an appropriate distance back from the entrance.
He gave you a kind smile as he exited. As easy as it would have been to resent Obi-wan due to his proximity to Anakin you could never bring it upon yourself. âMay the force be with you Y/Nâ he offered you with a small head bow.
âThank you master Kenobiâ you responded easily, mirroring his bow.
And he looked like he wanted to say more. Perhaps apologize for his padawan, perhaps offer parting words of wisdom, instead he seemed to swallow them, giving you one more slightly tense smile before departing, leaving you with no where to go but up the ramp.
Anakinâs eyes were on you the second you came into view, his face morphing too easily into a soft, friendly smile. âHey, you ready?â
And it was the way he could flip the switch so easily, act so flawlessly that everything was okay, so effortlessly at ease.
Weeks ago you would have bit back, wouldâve offered back some scathing comment, some backhanded remark. It was one thing that kept you from outright hating the young Skywalker. For every insult he spat you always had one to hurl back at him. He could insult you, berate you, belittle you, but you always came back swinging.
Right now though you didnât have it in you.
You offered nothing more than a small nod of your head, not missing the way his smile morphed into a frown at it.
Maybe he was expecting you to say something, maybe he was gearing up for a fight, maybe he really thought you hadnât heard him.
You couldnât bring yourself to care what was running through his head at this moment.
You brushed past him towards the cockpit not missing the way his eyes never left you as you did so, not missing the way his hand hovered just over your arm, not missing the way he so hesitantly followed you.
You just had to get through this one mission and you could go back to ignoring Anakin Skywalker.
You werenât as excited for that prospect as you thought you would be.
-
An involuntary hiss slipped past your lips the second your left foot hit the ground, your weight quickly shifting back to your right to avoid the pain, overcorrecting just enough to knock yourself off balance, all weight balanced dangerously on the edge of one foot as your arms reached out half-hazardly seeking anything solid to steady yourself.
Just before you could tip over another body slotted itself beside you, shoulders fluidly depositing themselves beneath your arm as another arm wrapped around your waist, pulling you into Anakinâs slide as he swore quietly âI told you to stay putâ
You laughed bitterly at that, forcing yourself to lean back away from him as much as possible even as the arm on your waist tightened, his other hand clipping his saber to his belt so that it could come up and grab the hand he had thrown around his shoulders, effectively pinning you to his side as he started to drag you back to the wall âYeah sure so you can just leave meâ
You felt him still at your words, the grip on your hand and waist slackening for a second as your words seemed to hit him physically, your position keeping you from properly viewing his face as his voice came out softer than you had ever heard him âI wouldnât do thatâ
His tone caught you by surprise. If there was one thing you knew about Anakin Skywalker it was that the man was loud, the way he carried himself, spoke, hell the way he flew reeked of confidence to the point of arrogance. Anakin was anything but the soft, almost vulnerable tone that just left him.
And you felt a part of you already starting to reach out to him, ready to pull him into your side and assure him that you knew that, assure him that you knew he was a good person, to tell him that you trusted him.
But another part of you couldnât give up the way he tried bench you. How after everything you had been through: all the training, the way he seemed to go out of his way to be nice to you lately, how everything seemed to be looking up, he still thought you were nothing more than a nuisance, a less than.
Less than capable, less than a good jedi, less than an apt fighter, less than worthy of his trust.
His motion continued after the brief pause, the two of you finally reaching the wall and Anakin taking care to slowly set you down against it, a hand supporting your calf as you squatted down, careful to keep your foot off the ground.
âYouâre right thatâs probably a touch too far even for you, so instead you want to what scold me for getting in your way? Tell me Iâm a shitty jedi for getting myself injured? Pull my hair and call me ugly?â
Anakin only sighed in response, one hand coming up to tangle his fingers in his hair as the other planted on his hip, Anakin doing nothing but looking down at you in your position on the floor. âwhy are you always so determined to see the worst in me?â
Again the softness in his tone gave you pause, the sincerity in it something you had only gotten used to in the past few weeks. âAnakin thatâs all youâve ever shown meâ
ânot latelyâ his reply came out rushed, a note of exasperation crawling its way onto his voice âlately we were good. At least I thought we were goodâ
You debated your next words for a second, debated how much vulnerability you were ready to show to the man who has been nothing but hot and cold with you for the past few weeks âI thought we were tooâ
âso what happened?â
âYou tried to get me kicked off this missionâ your answer was quick and blunt, eyes immediately picking up on the way his brow furrowed âdonât even try to deny it I heard you-â
âNo thatâs not-â he cut you off quickly, letting out a frustrated sigh before continuing âI was trying to do the right thingâ
âThe right thing?â you echoed back now furrowing your own brow.
âYou coming here was an unnecessary risk-â
âah so you still donât trust meâ you interjected quickly, watching closely the way his entire body seemed to recoil at your words.
âWhat no-â
âweâve spent weeks training, youâve given me good advice, Iâve gotten better youâve said so yourself. So I donât get why you still donât-â
âitâs not that-â
âSo then what you still canât stand to be alone with me for that long?â
âY/N!â he finally cut you off with a small shout, crouching down in front of you close enough that he nearly occupied your entire field of vision, physically forcing you to pay attention to him rather than let your mind run any longer. âI was just trying to protect youâ
Your eyes bounced back and forth between his for a moment, trying to decern the truth, trying to find the underlying meaning. âI donât know why you think I need your protection. I can handle myselfâ
Another dejected sigh from Anakin, neither of you moving for a tense few seconds before you heard a muttered âforget itâ underneath his breath as he pushed himself up to a standing position.
âwe need to get out of hereâ he offered a hand to you, helping you stand though kept his gaze planted on the back door of the building âweâll stick to the alleyways and use nothing but blasters if we have to, the sabers will be a dead giveawayâ
And though you wanted to push the subject more you knew he was right, get yourself through this mission and you could go back to avoiding Anakin Skywalker. It had quickly become a mantra for you.
You let him pull you softly out the back door, Anakin carefully checking around each corner before ushering you forward, helping you hobble on your one good leg slowly back towards your ship. That was until you heard an eerily familiar voice around the next bend.
âFind the jedi scum and bring them to me. The separatists have plans so I want them alive do you understand me?â
Anakin didnât hesitate before pushing you back against the nearest wall, using his own body to try and shield yours from view as he pinned you against it, one arm bracing himself against it just over your head.
You looked up at him with wide eyes as the two of you listened intently, footsteps slowly drawing much too close for your comfort.
From this distance you could clearly see the set in Anakinâs jaw as he kept his eyes planted at the nearest corner, muscles tense ready to pounce at a moments notice. That was when the thought struck you.
âQuick kiss meâ
Anakinâs entire body froze at your words, his eyes snapping to meet yours blown wide in confusion and shock.
âCome across two people kissing in an alleyway theyâre certainly not going to expect them to be jedi so quickâ You explained in a harsh whisper, giving his robes a quick tug.
Anakin, however, stayed rooted in place, elbow on his arm planted on the wall locking in place to prevent him from getting any closer to you, wide eyes cemented on your face as his chest didnât even rise with breath.
âAni quickâ you hissed, trying to snap him out of whatever trance he was in.
The footsteps continued to grow louder, the soft drag of a heel against the pavement your only indication that they were steps away from your hiding spot.
Anakin still didnât respond, gave no indication that he had heard you after your first command. To no avail you tried to silently beg him to move with your eyes.
âHey whatâre you-â
That was all you let them get out before you made your next decision, grabbing for the blaster on Anakinâs hip you aimed and fired, the shot hitting them square in the forehead sending the hunter to the ground before they could even finish their question.
The blaster noise seemed to finally snap Anakin out of it, a soft shake to the Jediâs head being the only indication that anything had been wrong as he wordlessly pushed himself off of you and snapped his gaze down to the dead man before you.
âWhat the fuck was that Anakin?â You hissed, giving his chest a small shove.
Anakinâs eyes, however, never strayed from the unconscious body beneath your feet, his chest heaving with each breath as he kept his jaw locked in place.
âAnakinâ you tried calling his name again, another push to his chest, still his eyes never strayed from the ground, his body staggering slightly as he let you push him âyou blew our cover and because what? Youâre so disgusted by me you canât put up with one stupid kiss for half a second?â
Finally you got a reaction, his stark blue eyes finally snapping up to meet yours, a steel hard gaze you werenât entirely prepared for, eyes that begged you to drop it.
You couldnât help but laugh bitterly at his look, limping a few steps back from him as you shook your head, the heels of your palms coming up to dig tiredly into your eyes âEven after all thatâs happened you really still hate me so much youâd jeopardize the mission to get out of a kissâ
âIt canât happen like thatâ His voice surprised you, the words in of themselves confusing but his tone throwing you off more than anything, an almost pained ring in it sending you sparling.
âWhat?â
A quiet swear from under his breath as he started to pace âOur firstâ he called louder, as if that were an explanation, his hands clenching at his sides âIt shouldnât happen like that, it canâtâ
And you could feel the frustration start to rise within you, the anger from his inaction ebbing to confusion âAni slow down what is happening right nowâ
The nickname seemed to have the desired effect, his pace slowing to a soft stop, eyes snapping up to meet yours once again, an almost guilty expression on his face as he stood before you, Anakin Skywalker looking almost small before you for the first time ever âDo you know how many times Iâve thought of it?â he asked you softly, an anxious hand running through his hair as his eyes broke to look at anything but you âHow many times I almost just-â and he cut himself off with a sigh, a soft shake in his head as he looked down at his shoes, a small scoff escaping before he continued âto think that the first time it would happen was to maintain some stupid cover. That it didnât mean anything. I couldnât do itâ
A part of your brain was lighting up with realization, another part pushing it back down with denial. He couldnât be talking about kissing you, not now, not after sending you years of signals that said otherwise âAnakin what are you saying?â
His eyes connected with yours again, a pained expression and a small tilt of his head telling you to stop pretending you didnât know, begging you to move past faking obliviousness.
But still a part of you was reeling back, sending a huff of air through your nose as you shook your head âHow many times could you have really thought about it, you just started being nice to me a week agoâ
âYears worthâ the words came out on his next exhale, a small shrug in his shoulder as he answered âat least since we were nineâ
But that didnât make any sense, that couldnât possibly be true âThis isnât funnyâ
A small bitter laugh escaped him in response, a soft shake of his head as he spoke âbelieve me sweetheart Iâm not laughingâ
You barely registered the words, your mind already reeling as it went over every thing heâs ever said to you since then, âyouâve been nothing but mean to me since Iâve met youâ your words were soft, spoken more to yourself than to him but still Anakin opened his mouth to respond, your voice cutting him off before he could âalways criticizing me in front of the masters, mocking my attempts to learn, making me doubt my own abilitiesâ
âIâm sorryâ
And some part of your brain registered that those were not words Anakin used lightly, knew the weight those words held for him. Another part knew it still wasnât enough.
âYouâre sorry?â You scoffed âyou made me dread every moment I had to spend in your presence for years and the best you have is Iâm sorry?â
Anakin had no response to that, his jaw visibly clenching as he fought to maintain eye contact with you, but no words came, he had no excuse, no real way to make up for it, and you both knew it.
âWhy?â and the question shouldnât matter to you, the ends didnât justify the means, they couldnât, but still you needed to know.
Anakin took a second, drawing in a deep breath as his gaze shifted to your feet, a small shrug of one shoulder before he answered âI wanted to get your attentionâ
And like that you were ready to start yelling again, because surely it wasnât that simple, surely Anakin wasnât that stupid, that childish. Instead, he continued on.
âI donât think I realized that was what it was at first, just knew I liked it when you got in my face and pushed back, liked when you got so wrapped up in me that the rest of the world ceased to exist for a little bitâ another pause, another deep breath âthen once I figured it out I knew I needed to shut it down, the code meant I couldnât get close, couldnât form attachments. Pissing you off felt like a good way to keep you at armâs length while still getting you to notice meâ
A million different emotions swirled around inside of you, each trying to claw their way to the surface. You wanted to yell at him, tell him how stupid that was, berate him for having the emotional regulation skills of a child. You wanted to stay silent, let him stew in his miserly, in his guilt. You wanted to cry, the catharsis, the confusion, the mix of conflicting emotions all welling up inside of you, overwhelming you.
Instead, you spoke softly, your voice sounding almost hollow on your own ears âyou know when you first came to the temple all the other kidâs thought you were weirdâ
Anakinâs gaze shot up to meet yours, a slight furrow in his brow as he tried to figure out where you were going with this.
âLooking back I think they were just jealous. You came in later than the rest of us but you already had a master, Obi-wan Kenobi at that, and you already had the councils attention, so they all tried to stay away from youâ you took a deep breath, swallowing down the slight shake in it âI thought that was dumb and that I was going to be your friend so I went up to you and I was nice. And at first I thought you were nice. Maker I was so excited to make a new friend and then the next time I saw you it was like a switch had been flippedâ Anakinâs disappointed sigh barely registered as you continued âso I tried to be funny, then entertaining, then chill. I tried everything I could to be someone who was worth your timeâ
You could practically hear Anakinâs teeth grinding as he clenched his fist at his side, leaning back to slump against the wall as he thought for a moment before speaking.
âWhen I first got to the temple I was scared.â He admitted softly, gaze casted out blankly to the wall on the other side of the alley âI had just lost Qui-Gon, the council didnât seem to like me, I missed my mother. Then out of nowhere this beautiful girl my age came up to me, took my hand and told me that it was going to be okay, that I was going to be okay, and she said it with such conviction that I couldnât help but believe herâ
You waited with bated breath for him to go on, for him to fill in the gaps of your own story.
âThen what the council said to me about fear hit and I became ashamed of having been a coward, ashamed of needing someone to hold my hand, ashamed of being weakâ
You couldnât have stopped the small chuckle from escaping if you had tried âAnakin you are a lot of things but weak isnât one of themâ
He finally met your gaze at the sound, the corner of his lips tilting up in response âI certainly made sure it appeared that wayâ
Another silence blanketed the two of you as you each digested the others story, Anakin finally breaking it with a soft chuckle âyou were an intimidating kid you know that?â
âI was notâ you denied it with an easy shake of your head, barely giving the statement any thought.
âyou wereâ he persisted nonetheless âyou were the perfect jedi student, Obi-wan was always on me about being more like you. Listening to him better, meditating better, paying more attention in classâ
âBet that didnât help the whole hating me thingâ there was no resentment in your voice, a soft understanding if anything.
âDonât you get it sweetheartâ he smiled sadly âIâve never hated you. Iâm not sure I could if I triedâ
You shook your head softly at that, eyes casted out over the alley around you, speaking after another short beat âcome on Skywalker, letâs get back to the shipâ
Anakin stayed leaned against the wall for another moment, giving himself a pause to study you before he pushed himself up and offered you his arm to help you walk with a small nod.
You hobbled further down the ally with his help, nothing but the sounds of your deep breaths until you spoke in little more than a whisper âyou know you were so busy ïżœïżœïżœnot hatingâ me I donât think I ever got to know the real Anakin Skywalkerâ
There was a slight pause in his step at your words, his eyes shooting to the side to meet yours as he raised a brow âare you sure you want to?â
âIf heâs anything like the man Iâve been around for the past few weeksâ you answered with a small shrug âthen yeah. I really doâ
Anakinâs face broke out into a wide grin at your words, and you found yourself admiring it once again, for the first time your own mind remaining quiet as you did rather than chastising you for it as usual.
âIâll try not to disappoint Y/Nâ
You chuckled softly at that, âGiven your previous experience youâve set the bar exceptionally lowâ you pointed out giving his shoulder a playful shove â but Iâll hold you to thatâ

âHoney,â Nanami Kentoâs voice echoes from the front entryway to your shared apartment, leather dress shoes clicking on the hardwood as he enters, âthereâs a package for you.â
Squealing in excitement, you jump up from your cozy cocoon on the couch and rush towards him, fuzzy socks causing you to slip in the process.
Luckily, Nanami catches you effortlessly, preventing you from landing face first.
âYou know, for someone who exorcises curses for a living, youâre awfully clumsy.â
âIâm not clumsy!â you defend as you playfully tear yourself away from his grasp, âI just feel safe letting my guard down around you, is that so bad?â
Standing in front of him now, Nanami gazing down at you with a soft, adoring expression, you take a moment to relish his presence. Recently, your individual schedules have been clashing, and itâs taken a toll on your usual evening routine of making a home-cooked meal, cuddling, bathing, and reading together, all while tangled up in a heap of limbs and love.
âI missed you, Ken,â your tone is laced with utmost sincerity as you throw your arms around his broad shoulders, leaning into his neck to take a large inhale of his scent.
You feel his body curl around your own, his strong arms giving you a firm squeeze. âI missed you too,â he mumbles into your hair.
You stand like this, resting in each otherâs embrace, for a few minutes. Ever since you got together, he has quickly become your life source, and you his. Itâs customary for you to have moments like this, using each otherâs embrace to charge your proverbial battery. If someoneâs energy is particularly depleted on any given day, the other patiently waits for them to consume the proper amount they need.
âSo,â his voice breaks the silence, âwhatâs in the package?â
Smiling into his chest, you tease him, âWouldnât you like to know?â
That earns you a chuckle, âOh? Is it a secret? A present perhaps?â
Separating from him, you snatch the package from his grip, tear it open, and present the jumbled up piece of fabric to him.
âPajamas?â he questions.
âYes, sir!â you squeal, obviously excited.
Thereâs a pause, and you look up to find a puzzled expression on Nanamiâs face.
âWhatâs wrong?â you pout, looking up to him expectedly.
âNothing,â he deflects, eyes shifting to the side while a faint blush appears on his cheeks, âitâs just, well, normally you wear my t-shirts to bed and nothing else. I didnât know you needed pajamas.â
Your mouth slightly gapes, processing his words. Heâs right, ever since you started living together, you often use his old shirts or the undershirt he wore for the day as your sleeping attire. Itâs easy, they smell like him, and you hate wearing pants, so it was the most obvious solution. Nanami never said anything about it, so you assumed he was neither annoyed nor contended by it.
But Nanamiâs body language, paired with the bashful look on his face, tells a different story.
Cute.
Making a scene, you dramatically toss the article of clothing over your shoulder and slightly slap your forehead in faux-realization.
âYouâre right,â you pronounce, âwhat was I thinking?â
Nanami rolls his eyes with a smirk, obviously caught on to your little act, before pulling you into a bear hug and spinning you around. You canât help the heap of giggles that escape your lips.
Soon, you are taken away from the entryway and plopped down on the couch, Nanami coming to rest on top of you with his full weight, the pressure causing a whole new bout of laughter.
âNanami!â you gasp.
âWhat kind of pajamas are those anyway?â he ridicules while poking your sides, not letting up on his teasing.
âJust -argh- just a skimpy lace camisole with slits up both sides,â you say in between gasps. âYou know for -ah- easy access.â
The man above you freezes, pulling back to look at you with wide eyes.
Now itâs your turn to smirk.
âWell,â Nanami began, clearing his throat, âif you want to wear those kinds of pajamas, you know, every once in a while, thatâd be okay.â
Patting his chest, you sit up, so your nose is touching his, eyes squinting in reluctance. With the blush beginning to travel down his neck, itâs clear who has the upper hand.
âSure, Ken. But only if youâre the one to take it off.â
a/n: something fluffy and cute to help you (hopefully) get through the week. some big nanami fics are in the works, so (if youâd like) please follow to stay updated!

"đđđđŻđđ§ đąđ§đŹđąđđ đČđšđź"
Pairing: Vergil/fem!reader, Vergil Sparda/reader
Warning: +18/mdni!, cockwarming.
Summary: Vergil finds it both endearing and annoying how you seem intent on pressing yourself closer as if trying to become a part of him. He has a solution.
A/n: y'all idek. This was originally intended as a part two to 'Find our way through fever' but it's just a stand alone now lmfao. Also I don't typically write smut like things but this was fun tbh. I'm pleased with it. (If you saw this posted before no you didn't my tumblr was tweakingg)
ÖŽ àŁȘđ€
Frustrating. Pathetic even, how easy simple actions and tenderness from you bleeds into arousal, heat pooling low in his belly. Vergil feels himself grow hard in response to your clinging, your arms holding him tightly to you as you sit in his lap, trying to bring him impossibly closer. Your constant shifting and borderline burrowing isn't helping the growing ache in his slacks.
Simultaneously pleased with your behavior as you cling to him for comfort and irritated at his body's reaction at this simple needy hug, Vergil huffs. His lips pull into a faint amused smile. Not that you can see it with the way your face is buried in his neck, inhaling his scent.
"Are you trying to merge with me?" Vergil says, a teasing lilt to his tone. "Yes." You reply against his neck, lips just barely grazing the skin there. The heat in Vergil's belly grows hotter and he clenches his jaw, left hand resuming its lazy drag up and down your spine. A thought worms its way into his brain. Vergil sighs. "Very well." He says. If being pressed flush against him isn't quite enough to satisfy your need for comfort and closeness, then he supposes he can fill that aching void within you.
Vergil's hands go to your hips, pushing you gently off his lap. You stand before him as he sits in his armchair, your plush pink lips set in a frown. Lips he has yet to kiss. Vergil watches as you shiver. Already missing his body heat. Vergil smirks. "Oh don't look so pitiful." He says lowly.
Calmly, slowly, Vergil reaches down, maintaining eye contact as he unfastens his belt and pulls himself free from his slacks. "You wanted to merge, yes?" He says, grabbing your wrist, his index and middle finger meeting. How delicate you feel in his hold.
You take a half step forward, leg bumping his spread knees as you come to stand between them. Vergil takes a moment to admire the surprise in your expression, your parted lips, the rise and fall of your chest, your wide eyes. "Can't speak?" He teases, voice low. He hums as he releases your wrist. "I need an answer. If your tongue can't work, your actions will have to do the talking for you. Take those off." Your heart is hammering in your chest as you process Vergil's words. Almost comically quick, your thumbs hook in the waistband of your sweatpants and pull them down, hands trembling slightly as you step out of the fabric.
âDon't get too worked up, dear. I've no intention of claiming you tonight." Vergil says, a small crooked smile of amusement on his lips. His words send a dizzying thrill down your spine, arousal blooming in your gut. Your fingers trembling with anticipation go to the waistband of your underwear. Vergil hums once more in contemplation. "Keep those on." He says, a firm command. You reluctantly drop your hands to your sides, eyeing Vergil as he sits in his armchair. The sleeves of his black button up are rolled up just below his elbows, arms resting along the tops of the armrests. Regal and striking. "Come here." Vergil says. Immediately you straddle him, knees resting on either side of his thighs. His hands go to your hips, guiding you to shift a little closer. His cock, thick and impressive, is flushed a pretty pink at the tip between the two of you.
Vergil hooks his thumb along the inner line of your panties and pulls them aside. He clenches his jaw as he brings his middle finger to press slowly inside your tight heat. He is careful not to rub against that spot within you much to your disappointment. Vergil adds a second finger and bites back a groan at the way your walls squeeze around his digits. He works you open, preparing you. Always avoiding your clit and that spot within.
Truthfully, a part of Vergil wants to just pull you down and pump you on his length but no. This isn't about sex. This is for comfort, intimacy. To be closer. He wants that more than sex, needs that more. You do, too.
Satisfied with his preparation, Vergil pulls his fingers out of your heat. Saliva fills his mouth, wanting to wrap his tongue around the slick digits and lick them clean but if he does he fears his control will slip. Vergil brings his fingers to your mouth, watches with rapt attention and dark eyes as you lick his fingers clean. "Good." He murmurs. Vergil brings one hand to your hip, guiding you down as his other hand lines himself up.
Slowly, you sink down, pausing about two-thirds of the way, a small choked noise leaving your lips at the stretch. Vergil pulls you close and you bury your face in his neck, your arms wrapping around him, hands clutching at his back. "A little more. You can take it." Vergil says lowly, his voice a little breathless. Your fingers curl in the fabric of his shirt, wrinkling it as you take him the rest of the way. You whimper into his neck at the stretch, the feeling of being filled.
Ah, there it is. Heaven inside you.
Vergil is thankful your face is hidden in his neck as his eyes nearly roll back as your walls squeeze around him, adjusting to the intrusion. He bites his tongue sharply as he fights the urge to buck up into you. He takes a breath to calm himself, brings his hand to run up and down your back soothingly just as he did earlier. You shift, head full of dizzying want, attempting to rock, gain friction, anything. Vergil's free hand grips your hip firmly, preventing your movement. You whine. "Quiet. Be still." Vergil murmurs, continuing to run his hand up and down your back soothingly.
Eventually you melt against him and Vergil smiles fondly as he strokes your hair. "Perfect." He whispers, tone borderline reverent. This moment is intimate. It's everything. The closest either of you can get. Pressed flush against each other full and enveloped.
"Perfect." You murmur quietly in agreement.

Trafalgar Law - Leash.
Warning : none
Genre : fluff
Synopsis : âsome fluff between trafalgar law and a reader (he/him or they/them, not fussed!) who will, without fail, get themselves lost whenever the crew stops by a town? In wildlife they can find their way no problem, but something about civilisation just makes them Confused and Lost. Perhaps someone suggested hand holding duty as a solution, or Law just continuously has to search for them with room to relocate them- anything you want!â - anon
Reader : gender neutral (you/yours)
The Polar Tang was about to emerge out of the water to dock to an island and resupply in food for the crew. Everyone was planning where to go and what to buy, along with who will take care of you.
âMaybe a leash ?â Suggested Bepo.
âI'm not an animal !â You yelled, hitting him behind the head gently.
âSorry.â
âBut we have to hold you. Somehow.â Shachi said.
âLeash is the only option. Like for a turbulent kid that won't stop running away.â Added Penguin.
âI'm not a turbulent kid either.â You grumbled, rubbing the bridge of your nose in annoyance. Not noticing Law walking in, leaning against the wall.
âAren't you ?â He said and you jumped, surprised.
âWhat about cuffing you to someone ?â Asked Shachi.
âIsn't there something where I don't feel like I'm some kind of prisoner ?â You sighed, tired with their suggestions.
âCaptain could hold your hand. He's your boyfriend after all. No ?â Said Ikkaku, tilting her head to the side.
A loud silence fell in the room as no one had thought of that before. Hand holding. It's⊠so much more practical and easy.
Then you all turned toward Law, waiting for his reaction.
âNo.â He said. âI have other things to do than to babysit you.â
âBut I want out.â You replied, pouting. âPleaase !â You tried to make the best puppy eyes you could, hoping he would agree.
Law closed his eyes, obviously getting annoyed but after a few seconds he caved in.
âFine. But don't count on me if you let go. You're on your own.â
âAye aye !â You grinned as you quickly walked out to ready your bags.
After a few minutes you came back, waiting for the main entrance to open so you could get out. The door opened and you walked on the deck, waiting for Law to come.
You smiled as you held your hand out for him to grab. He looked away as he took your hand, walking out of the submarine and into the port with you.
He tried to ignore how warm your palm felt against his, or how you squeezed his hand from time to time, your thumb gently caressing his skin.
You walked into the city with him, everyone had already gone their own way. You had a few things to buy but for now you settled on following him throughout the few shops he visited. Mostly medicinal stuff and books.
The only times he let go of your hands was to put things in your bags.
Then he followed you where you wanted to go, slightly walking behind you as you pulled on his hand. Occasionally putting you back on the right path.
âAh, wait, there's one last thing I'd like to buy.â He said, pulling on your hand for you to follow him. But you weren't done looking at what the store was selling so you let go of Law's hand to take a better look at it, approaching the store window, nearly touching the glass with your head. You were about to place your hand against the window until you felt something move you, and in a blink you were back next to Law.
âYou were right here, I wasn't going to lose you.â
âCouldn't risk it. We're not in a forest.â
You rolled your eyes and grabbed back his hand. Even if it had been for a moment, he had missed your warm hands.
âFine.â Then, you remembered his words. âI thought I was on my own if I let go ?â You raised a brow, elbowing him with a smirk.
âConsider this your last warning, then.â He said with a small smile.
âWell, better make sure I don't let go, eh ?â You replied, pushing your hand in his jeans pocket.
âOi !â
âAhh⊠much better.â You sighed, your fingers wiggling a bit in his pocket. âIt's warm and cozy.â
Law said nothing at your comment.
âCan we go now ?â
âOh yeah, my hand is safely nested.â You said with a grin and he rolled his eyes, before continuing walking.
You stayed like this for the whole outing even when marines ran after you.

Epilogue
It wasnât easy.
But, then, when had anything in your life ever really been easy?
In the weeks that followed, you struggled to adapt to your new reality, your body waking you at daybreak and having you exhausted by nightfall, suffering with pangs of hunger that seemed almost unquenchable. Both Frank and Billy told you it would get better, that you would adjust, but that didnât stop the occasional breakdown, the moments where everything felt like it was too much.
You watched as Billyâs heart broke over and over again, when heâd find you on the floor in your kitchen, sobbing and eating oreos, or walking around the penthouse in the middle of the day so exhausted that you could barely function.
On the bad days, he would take you into his rooms, close the curtains and hold you in pitch blackness, softly shushing you as you sobbed in his arms, whispering gentle apologies in your ear.
Feeding wasnât any easier; you still gagged and felt sick sometimes, and certain kinds of blood didnât seem to agree with you.
Finally you understood why Billy had made you follow such strict rules when it came to your health and diet as sometimes, some blood left you feeling ill like youâd eaten something that had gone off. And, as your senses became more acute, it only seemed to get worse.
But, eventually, a solution was found to every problem; Billy stayed with you for weeks, helping you adjust to your new day/night cycle, and special blood was ordered for you once he figured out exactly what you needed. And, once those issues were sorted, your breakdowns became fewer until you finally felt like you could handle your new life.
After that, the only issue left was Billy and your relationship.Â
You loved him, and you knew that he loved you, but you needed time. Everything between you had happened so quickly and it felt like youâd missed out on so many steps. When you finally felt up to it, Billy started to take you out on dates; to dinner, to museum exhibitions, and even to the cinema. Little things, little steps that allowed you to grow closer as a couple. And, at the end of every night, he left you to decide if you wanted to sleep in his bed or your own.
The physical side of your relationship didnât change or slow; Billy couldnât seem to keep his hands off of you and you didnât want him to. Being a vampire made everything feel heightened and you soon got why Billy craved moments of touch and intimacy. But, as far as your relationship went, you took things slowly.
And, after a few months, you were finally able to do what youâd told him you wanted to do. You found a job.
It was only a few nights a week at a local library and, for the first couple of weeks, Billy had insisted on walking you there and back, but he soon had to focus on his own work and you were able to gain the sense of freedom that you sought, both physically and financially.
Billy laughed every time you tried to pay for something or split a check, telling you to spend your money on yourself, on things that you wanted, things that would make you happy. At first, it annoyed you but, as you got closer, and you became privy to things like his finances, you realised just how wealthy he was.
But you didnât let that deter you. Youâd taken a job because you wanted to be able to contribute and thatâs exactly what you started doing.
It was a cactus first. A tiny plant that you hoped would grow much bigger. Youâd read that, in the right environment and with proper care, some cacti could live hundreds of years and that was what you wanted; something that would stay with you over the decades.
When youâd first brought the tiny little thing into the penthouse, Billy had frowned, then laughed, before getting a little table from the library for it to sit on and placing it by the window.
Over the weeks that followed, you got more plants, more things that made the penthouse feel like a home; cushions, lamps, artwork for the wall. You even insisted on hanging some fairy lights around that, when turned on, gave the place a magical and romantic glow.
And Billy went along with it, never complaining, always helping you, whether it was putting up more shelves for plants, hanging lights, or moving furniture to make space.
Karen gushed over the new furnishings, commenting on how Billyâs bachelor pad now looked like a real home, and your heart melted when he responded that it was a home now that you were in it.
And, every now and then, Billy would turn up with a new stuffed animal for you, until you had a small menagerie of stuffies, each with names more ridiculous than the last, all some loose version of Billy - though he threatened to stop when you announced that one of them was to be called Billiam.
After five months had passed, youâd fallen into a rhythm with Billy and, for the first time in your life, everything felt perfect. You were happy, you were in love. All the self-doubt and uncertainty that youâd carried when you first arrived at the penthouse was gone. And, no matter how much time passed, Billy seemed intent on constantly surprising you and doing everything he could to keep showing you that he loved you.
The moment Karen offered to pick you up after work on your birthday, you knew something was going on, you knew sheâd been roped into one of his schemes. But nothing could have prepared you for the surprise party that was waiting for you when the elevator doors slid open and you stepped into the penthouse.Â
Everybody yelled âsurpriseâ as they jumped from their hiding spots, but the moment your eyes found him, it felt like there was no one else in the room.
He stepped towards you and took your hand in his before kissing you softly.
âHappy birthday, hummingbird,â he said with a smile that always made you feel loved and safe in equal measure.
âDid you do all of this on your own?â You asked, finally letting your gaze drift about the penthouse.
âI had a little bit of help from Karen,â he admitted. âBut I do have something else for you, something special that I want you to have before the party really starts.â
You looked at him, searching his face for some idea of what it could be, your mind racing back to the first party youâd attended in the penthouse. But on his face you found something you didnât expect, an uncertainty, a nervousness, as if he wasnât sure how you were going to react to his surprise.
âWhat is it?â You asked.
âI think itâs easier just to show you,â he explained.
Billy didnât wait for a response before slowly starting to lead you towards the library. Whatever it was, your friends seemed clued in; you caught a reassuring smile from Karen and a nod from Frank. Even Foggy managed to look silently supportive of whatever you were about to face.
As the library door opened, a figure stood up from the sofa.
You froze in the doorway, a thousand different emotions going to war inside you.
âIrene,â your sister's name fell from your lips as little more than a whisper, too quiet for any but Billy to hear it.
She offered an apologetic smile but seemed just as lost for words as you were. Billyâs hand gave yours a reassuring squeeze, letting you know that he was still there and that heâd support you if you needed him to.
Finally she took a step forward.
âYouâre all grown up,â she remarked softly and all you could do was nod.
You hand gripped Billyâs even as you managed to take a step, still not sure how you wanted to feel or what you could possibly say to her after so many years apart.
âBilly found me,â she tried to explain, âhe told me about what happened and how you ended up here.â
Your eyes flickered to Billy and he saw just how lost you were.
âMadani tracked her down,â he said softly. âI didnât want to say anything to you until I knew that Irene wanted to see you. I didnât want to get your hopes up in case she decided that she didnât want to see you.â
It made sense and you certainly werenât upset about it, but you still struggled to deal with the situation.
âYou left me,â you finally said, voice breaking as you turned your attention back to Irene. âYou said youâd come back for me.â
âI -â she started before hesitating, â- I tried. Just before your eighteenth birthday. I came to get you, but dad caught me. He told me that if I ever left with you, heâd make sure I was arrested for kidnapping and I -â
She fell silent again and you watched as she tried to blink back tears. In the silence, you found yourself leaning into Billyâs side.
âIâd just found out I was pregnant,â Irene continued. âI have children now. Three of them. I wanted to take you away with me, but I...â
You watched her wipe a tear from her cheek and your heart ached for her, finally starting to understand what had happened and why she hadnât come back for you. She had to choose between you and her unborn child, and you couldnât fault her for putting the baby first.
Nodding, you struggled to find the words. It was overwhelming and, while you didnât blame Irene or Billy for the situation, you wished that youâd had some warning, some time to prepare all the things you wanted to say to her. Although youâd played this moment over and over in your head since the day sheâd left home, youâd never really been able to settle on what youâd say or how youâd feel.
You gave Billyâs hand one last squeeze before letting it go and moving towards Irene.Â
âIâll give you some privacy,â he said softly, waiting just a moment to make sure you didnât need him to stay, before leaving the library and closing the door behind him.
âHe seems really nice,â Irene offered, smiling at you.
âHe is,â you answered. âHe saved my life.â
âCan you tell me about it?â She asked cautiously. âI want to hear about your life, about everything Iâve missed out on.â
You took a seat on the sofa and waited for her to join you, your mind still racing, wondering how you could ever explain the last eleven months of your life to someone who wasnât there to see it.
âWell, it started when I saw a job advertisement online, just over a year ago...â
Irene sat, mostly quiet, listening as you explained how you needed to leave home in order to escape a forced marriage, just like she had. You told her about coming to New York and how you and Billy had slowly bonded over your shared love of literature, and how it had culminated in you falling in love. Then, with a little less certainty, you told her how you were turned and how your life had been going since that moment.
At some point sheâd taken hold of your hand and held it between her own on her lap, her eyes never leaving your face, completely caught up in your story.
âIâm so sorry I wasnât here for you,â she told you at the end.
âItâs okay... I wasnât on my own.â
You could see that now; Billy, Karen, even Frank, and Matt and Foggy. You had people in your life, people who cared about you. People who looked out for you. (People who would kill for you.)
She looked at her watch and a sadness filled her expression.
âI should let you get back to your party. Tom - my husband - and the kids are at the hotel,â she explained and you visibly brightened.
âYouâre staying in the city?â
âYeah, for a few days. Iâd like you to meet my family. If - I mean, if thatâs something youâd want to do, I know -â
âYou want them to meet me, even though Iâm a vampire now?â
âOf course,â she answered without hesitation. âYouâre my little sister and I want you back in my life.â
âIâd love to meet them,â you told her, finally finding the strength to throw your arms around your sisterâs shoulders and hug her tight.
Her arms wrapped around you and, for a few bittersweet minutes, you stayed like that, both of you trying desperately not to cry. After a few false starts, she managed to pull away from you and you both got to your feet. You walked her out of the library and towards the elevator, making plans to meet the next night so you could finally meet your niece and nephews.
No sooner had the doors slid shut, Billy was at your side, his arms wrapping around you as you pressed your face against his chest. You clung to him, feeling overwhelmed again, feeling so full of emotion that you might burst. His hand stroked your hair and he kissed the top of your head, muttering how much he loved you, holding you until you were ready to enjoy your party.
And you did enjoy it.
The night was spent laughing with your friends with Billy always close to your side, barely able to keep his hands off you for more than a few short minutes at a time. You talked about work and made plans for the future, and Karen managed to ruin one of your birthday surprises by telling you about a two-week polar night cruise around Alaska that Billy and Frank had booked so you could have a couples vacation that was vampire friendly.
Billy was a little upset that his surprise was ruined prematurely, but he seemed to forget all about it when you pulled him close and kissed him deeply, something that you didnât usually like to do in front of other people.
You drank, ate cake, and laughed the night away, until it was time for your friends to start leaving.
While Billy lingered by the elevator, talking to Frank, you waved farewell to Karen and decided to go get ready for bed, stopping off at your room to pick up a little present youâd been holding onto for Billy that you finally wanted to give him. Then, you made your way to his bedroom.Â
You quickly washed and changed into a sheer, powder blue negligee, and sat yourself on the edge of his bed next to his gift, waiting for him. It wasnât long before he joined you, stepping into the room and pausing at the sight of you, making no attempt to hide the way his eyes took in every inch of your body.
Getting to your feet, you twirled, deciding to really give him an eyeful. Billy laughed and, before you knew it, you were laughing too.
âNot that Iâm complaining, but whatâs all this for?â He asked.
âI want to sleep in here with you, and -â you hesitated a moment as you turned and picked up the carefully wrapped gift and offered it to him, â- I wanted to give you a present.â
âYou got me a present?â He looked down at the present in his hands, confused but still smiling. âBut itâs your birthday.â
âI know, but itâs for both of us... kind of...â you said, a sudden feeling of nervousness causing a tremor in your voice.
Slowly, carefully, Billy tore open the wrapping and was left more confused than ever by what he found.
âItâs bed linen,â you explained.
âI can see that,â he answered, a hint of uncertain laughter in his tone as he looked at it.
Youâd chosen a striking pattern of dark blues and petrol green, dark but still colourful, but it quickly became apparent that it wasnât the bed linen itself that he didnât understand, it was the gesture and what it meant.
You took a slow breath and started to explain; âitâs just... well, itâs really dark in here, and if Iâm going to start staying in here, I thought we could make it a little brighter, and -â
âYou want to stay in my room?â He asked, clearly trying to fight back a smile just in case he was jumping to the wrong conclusion. âYou want to move into my room permanently?â
In the time it took you to nod, Billy had dropped the bed linen and cleared the distance between you, his hands framing your face and tilting it up so his lips could find yours. He kissed you with an eager desire that told you all you needed to know; he was happy, he wanted you to move into his room.
âI love you,â he muttered against your lips. âI love you so much.â
âI love you too,â you answered back.
As he kissed you again, your fingers started to tug at his shirt, untucking it from his pants before clumsily pulling open the buttons, so you could touch his bare skin. While you dealt with his shirt, Billy quickly undid and lowered his pants, leading you backwards towards the bed as he stepped out of them.
He kissed you in a way that left you feeling bereft, like you didnât think heâd ever be able to match the passion and love that he was showing you then, that no moment would ever feel as good as that one did. But it was a silly thought, one you knew was wrong. There was no limit to the depths of his love. And there was none to yours either, not when it came to Billy.
His shirt slipped from his shoulders, joining his pants on the ground just a split-second before you were lifted off your feet and deposited on the bed beneath him. Already, you could feel the hard press of his erection between your thighs, and it was enough to have you moaning against his lips.
For a few wonderful minutes, he was content to stay like that, his body pressed down on top of yours while you kissed. You loved moments like that, moments where there was no frantic rush, moments where it felt like you had all the time in the world to just love and enjoy each other.
Finally, he pulled away from your lips and lifted himself, letting his eyes drift down your body, taking in the sight of you all over again.
âYouâre beautiful,â he told you softly, just enjoying the moment of stillness before letting his hand trail over the sheer fabric of your negligee. âAnd I love this.â
âI thought you might,â you smiled up at him, content to let him take his time.
His hand began to trace the curves of your body through the gossamer fabric, making a point of running his fingers over the ticklish spot on your side that heâd discovered that first night youâd spent together in front of the TV. A smile spread across his lips as you squirmed and giggled beneath him.
âI love you,â he said again.
There was something so serious in his voice, something that had you reaching up to cup his cheek, wanting to settle any terrible thoughts or doubts that might be in his head.
âI know you do, Billy,â you reassured him softly. âAnd I love you. With all my heart.â
His smile grew wider and whatever had taken hold of him seemed to let go. And, finally, he started to move down your body.
Soft hands slipped up your thighs, fingers hooking the little panties that you wore beneath the negligee and quickly relieving you of them. And, still, despite all the months that youâd spent with him, he always managed to look at you like it was his first time really seeing you. Once your panties were gone, he slowly moved down the bed, settling himself between your thighs, slowly trailing kisses from your knee up your leg.
Even though you were more than used to his lips between your thighs and the way his tongue could make you feel, you still gasped at the first touch, each and every time. In your time together, heâd learned every inch of you and how to make your body shake with pleasure.
Your fingers slipped into his hair and tugged lightly as his tongue slid between your folds. He groaned against you, tasting your arousal before focusing his attention on your clit, circling the throbbing bundle. Unrestrained moans started to fall from your lips and, soon enough, you felt his fingers breach your walls, slowly thrusting into the heat of your body while he undid you with his tongue.
His name fell from your lips over and over as you felt yourself climb higher and higher, your fingers curling tighter in his hair.
You looked down at him, waiting for his permission as pleasure coiled tight inside you and, finally, he gave you the slightest of nods. It was all you needed. You came hard as his fingers and tongue continued to work in concert with each other, trying to prolong your ecstasy until it was too much to bear and your thighs started to tremble violently.
Finally he pulled back, wiping his lips and watching you as your head fell back on the pillow.
âMmmm,â you hummed, breathless but smiling. âBest birthday present ever.â
âOh, hummingbird, Iâm just getting started,â he muttered.
You didnât move until prompted, sitting up for him so he could finally remove your negligee, then dropping back to the pillow while he got rid of his boxers. And you watched him, you watched every little move that he made, taking in the sight of him just as he had with you only ten minutes before.
It brought a smile to your face to think how obsessed you still were with each other.
Soon, he was positioned between your thighs again, teasing you, running the leaking tip of his cock between your folds, trailing it up and down from your entrance to your clit until you were needily squirming beneath him.
âBilly, please...â
âWhat do you need, hummingbird?â He asked, as if he didnât already know.
âYou, Billy,â you whined. âI need you.â
And that was all he needed to hear.
Your head fell back and you let out a long moan as his cock notched into you and started to fill you. His pace was torturously slow and he watched every little flicker of pleasure that crossed your features. You loved these moments when heâd take his time, when heâd make love to you and show you how much you meant to him.
Linking your hands behind his neck, you pulled him down and into an eager kiss. More little moans slipped from your lips and into his as he started to move in slow, deep thrusts that sent bolts of pleasure up and down your spine. You back arched, heels digging into the mattress, lifting your hips to meet his every movement.
When the kiss broke, your lungs felt like they were burning. But there was no time to think about that, no time to think about anything but the way Billy was making you feel. His lips moved to your neck, kissing and sucking at your skin, while one of his hands played with your breast. He was everywhere and everything to you, and when you were together like this, you felt like two pieces of a whole.
He made you feel like the characters from all the books youâd read; you felt like Jane Eyre finally happy and free with her Mr Rochester (just minus the burnt down home).
He made you happier than youâd ever dared to believe you could be.
âBilly,â you moaned softly into his ear with reverence.Â
âCome for me, little hummingbird,â he muttered in response.
On command, you fell apart for him, clinging to him as your body shivered and shook with pleasure.
âBilly, I love you,â you managed between your moans.
Billy gasped, suddenly overcome by his own orgasm. The movements of his hips turned sloppy as you felt him empty himself inside you, trembling almost as much as you were.
âI love you,â you said again, finding his lips and kissing him, wrapping your arms around him and holding him tight.
When he stilled, he lingered, not wanting to pull out or pull away from you but, eventually, he rolled away, ending up on his back beside you. You both basked in the afterglow as you slowly came down from your highs.
Turning on your side, you lifted yourself so your face was above his. His eyes closed and he let out a contented sigh as your fingers ran through his hair, lightly scratching your nails against his scalp just the way he liked. Then you leaned, pressing a soft kiss to the tip of his nose, then one of each of his closed eyes and then, finally, his lips.
âThank you,â you whispered softly.
âWhat for?â He dared to ask.
âFor loving me for who I am,â you tried to explain, âand for letting me have a life of my own.â
âI should be thanking you for exactly the same thing,â he told you, wrapping his arm around you and pulling you towards him, holding you against his chest.
Neither of you said another word that night.Â
You didnât need to.Â
You had each other, and that was all you needed.
End Note : It's finally over đđđ Thank you so much for all the lovely comments and messages over the last week, it really means a lot that so many people have enjoyed this story. I hope the epilogue gives an added bit of closure on a couple of issues (I know some people were interested in the sister) though I have also left some things open because I would love to come back to this version of Billy some time in the future. (Honestly, I need a little break from gothic stuff because I made the mistake of rereading Flowers in the Attic the other day and it left me emotionally broken đ
) There won't be any Billy fics from me next week, which feels so weird to me, but I realised that I've posted at least once a week, every week for the last 42 weeks so I think I'm due a week off. At the moment, I think I'll be starting the stalker!Billy fic on the 6th of September but, in the mean time I might also work on my omegaverse!Bucky fic. In the meantime, my ask box is always open if you have thoughts/feelings/questions/headcanons about anything I've written.
Anyway, thank you so much for reading and following week after week, and thank you so much to those of you who have liked/commented/reblogged! Hope you all have a great weekend!
Let me know if you'd like to be tagged in future chapters! If tagging doesn't work for some reason (aka Tumblr being dumb) I post most Fridays around 7:30 gmt.

Meant To Be
NOTES: This fic is completely newly written and I havenât written in ages but I hope this is good enough. Before you get into it I want you to know that some parts of the fic are quite personal to me and I was contemplating on whether to add or not, but I have included TW warnings. This fic had also been requested by my love @footiehoemcfc I hope you enjoy reading it babe. There will be a part two to this but I wanted to get the first part out first bc Iâve left @footiehoemcfc waiting too long for this đ«¶đŒ âš
WORD COUNT: 4.9k words
TW: mentions of car crash, drunk drivers
You promised yourself that you would never be in this situation.
This is the kind of situation you told your best friends to avoid. Itâs basic girl code, telling them not to be stupid in going back to their ex. You know it never ends well. Most of the time anyways.
Most of the time they end up falling for their bullshit and then that causes them hurting even more.
You know right now, you are a dumbass.
Your relationship with Mason ended shortly after Christmas.
Itâs bad enough you saw it coming but you didnât expect it to happen quickly after Christmas as the way he broke up with you, you thought he would want to mend things. Things that havenât been easy in your relationship the last few weeks. You thought he wanted to apologise for being a dick.
Before the World Cup, you both knew the relationship was falling short. However, you were determined to make it work. No matter how had you tried, you couldnât afford losing him.
You tried to support him in every way possible. Travelling to Qatar, showing your moral support. You also suggested couples therapy, tried to get him to talk about his feelings he was keeping inside. And everything else that was on the list. Making you feel useless at times.
Mason however, wasnât having any of it. He liked to feel like he could take care of himself. He knew he was pushing you away and he didnât want to but this is what it has come to and he canât stop himself now.
In Qatar, there wasnât much you could do with him not being able to see everyday with the World Cup consequences. Which you understood. You tried looking at the positives, maybe time apart from you would make him realise how much he misses having you around and helping him out. You thought he would he would take his time to think about how shitty he has been with you the last couple of weeks leading up to the World Cup. To your surprise, it was the complete opposite. Mason came to the conclusion it would be better if the two of you went separate ways.
The night you two broke up, well when he broke up with you, always replayed in your head.
-
âI think we should break up,â Mason started to say, showing no emotion on his face whatsoever.
âWhat?â you definitely wasnât expecting this.
He had planned a a nice romantic evening or so you thought. The dinner table was elegantly decorated, with rose petals and candles around the table, with two glasses of wine, which you dismissed because you didnât feel like drinking.
You thought the best of things, thinking that heâd apologise for his behaviour these last couple of weeks. Instead he did all this to break up with you.
âI want you to know donât think I donât love you because I do, itâs just the things thatâs happening this season, I canât love you the same when Iâm feeling like shit.â
âYouâre having one bad season and youâre throwing me out of your life?!â You asked confusedly and annoyed. âYouâve had problems before but this was never the solution!â
âY/N you donât understand. This is my life, I have to try and help and the tea-â
âThis is not your life!!â You snapped. âItâs what you do for a living, big difference Mason.â
âIt is now okay?! Everything else seems like a distraction!â
âIâm a distraction? Your girlfriend who has been trying to help you for weeks is a fucking distraction? Are you fucking kidding me?â That hurt. It hurt how little to no appreciation he showed for your effort. The tears that you tried to hold in just fell. Maybe it couldâve been from sadness but now you were just mad.
Mad at him.
âBaby,â he sighed trying to ease the tension. Both of you had arguements before but it was never like this. Heâs now thinking of throwing the years you had together, which you thought of convincing him to not to do this but it was useless and once he makes his mind up thereâs no going back.
âYou have no right to call me that anymore. Youâve clearly made up your mind.â You snapped.
âIâm sorry, okay. I didnât word that right. But you need to understand me.â
âUnderstand what? That your job is more important than me and everything else in your life? That all the things Iâve done for you in the past meant nothing? Our relationship was for nothing? And that I mean nothing to you?!â You managed to say In between your sobs that you have been keeping in for too long, and this was your thirteenth reason.
You couldnât hold it in anymore.
Mason stepped closer to you and tried to hug you which you refused at first, but you always found yourself giving in, in the end. This could be your last hug ever so you wanted to treasure it. Wanted to get close to him. Wanted to smell his aftershave that was lingering on his clothes. Wanted him to run his hands up and down your back for comfort.
All for the last time.
You could feel his tears dropping on your shoulder. This couldnât have been easy for him too. Although you know heâs doing wrong but you also know the past year hasnât been the best for him and no matter how much this is hurting you, you also know heâs hurting too. âIâm so sorry, my love. I know you think this is easy to do but i promise you itâs not. I love you so much and if itâs meant to be Iâm sure weâll find our ways back to each other soon.â He pulled away from the hug and held the sides of your face, planting a kiss on your forehead. His lips lingering on your forehead a lot longer than anticipated which relaxed your mind for a second.
âIâm going to go gather my things and go.â You sniffled.
Mason just nodded in response and let you get to it. You go into your shared bedroom, where you gathered most of your things, one thing that made you break down instantly was your scrapbook you made for his 21st birthday. It was his first birthday you celebrated with him and it was special too, so you wanted to make it memorable. You flicked through the book where you come across the first page which was the first picture you took together, him positioned behind you, his head buried in your neck while you looked so happy. The happiest youâve been in a long while, you forgot what that felt like.
This book was meant to be what you show your future children, but you didnât get that far ahead. You hesitated in whether to take it or leave it with him. However you decided to take it with you as you felt like he wouldnât look back at it.
Once you finally got your things together, you looked back at your shared room which was now Masonâs for one last time. The good times you had in there would be looked back at for sure, at least for you anyways.
Mason who was waiting for you to be done was on the sofa, his head in between in his hands. When he saw you were coming out of the room he offered to help with your luggage but you refused.
âYou can stay here for a little while once you get sorted out if you want?â Mason mumbled.
âI think itâs too late for that Mase. Thank you though.â You said as you walked to the front door and remembered that his front door key was in your bag which you handed to him. There was a keyring with the photo of the two of you on there. You walked towards the door until you heard Mason speak again.
âY/n wait a second,â you looked back at him, hoping he would say this is a mistake and he wants to start fresh with you but was that the case? Nope. âWhere are you going to go? Itâs late. I donât want you wondering about at this time of night.â He asked genuinely worried for you.
But you couldnât help but answer coldly as this wasnât his problem anymore. You werenât his problem anymore. âYou have no right to worry about that anymore. You start your life from scratch and forget what I ever meant to you. If I ever did mean anything to you. Good luck with the future, Mase.â You choked out.
Quickly, you got out of the door but you werenât sure how much more you could hold your tears in for. Opening the boot to put all of your things in the back before you got into the drivers seat and drove away from his house for the last time.
There was tears streaming down your face the entire journey, luckily you still had your own flat that you didnât end up getting rid of, but itâs been a while since you been in there so it will be weird at first but youâll have to get used to it. After all this was your life from now on.
During your journey to your now new (old) home, you looked back on all the positives that your relationship had. For example; when he took you away just because he felt like it that was also when he said âI love youâ for the first time and you were wondering what you did to deserve this man. Now you were wondering what you did to deserve the situation he put you in.
âWhere in the relationship did we go wrong?â You thought. You always thought you made him happy. But clearly not if he felt like he needed to chuck you out of his life like that. You clearly werenât as important to him as you thought you were.
When you got to your old flat, as soon as you walked through the door, itâs like you were almost looking for a feeling of home come to you. But that wasnât the problem. The problem was that it was Mason who made it feel like home. And now you had to live without him.
You had started talking to Mason in the most weird ways ever, you were going through so much at the time so him coming into your life during the most hardest times of your life you would describe it as was truly a blessing in disguise.
Letâs recap to that day..
-
It was one of those days.
One where you felt like God was never on your side, trying to understand what you did to deserve the last few days of chaos youâve had.
Eyes closed. Trying to remain calm, steadying your mind and the pace of your breathing.
It had been a long day. You had just come back from the hospital 45 mins ago. No that wasn't your job, your mum had been admitted to hospital after having a traumatic car crash as you'd call it.
On Saturday night she was on the way back from dinner with her friends, until a drunk driver crashed into her and she remained unconscious up until Tuesday morning for a few minutes and remained unconscious again.
When you first got a call from the hospital your first instant reaction was shock and denial because as far as you'd known your mum was all about being a safe driver and she was always scolding you to drive safe. It hadn't settled in until you had seen her. All your emotions started crashing down at once.
You felt a bit helpless and guilty by not being able to do anything to help her, and you were losing hope slowly but deep inside you, you knew your mum will power through this, she's a strong woman after all. After having to raise 6 children when your father left you at a young age deciding that he wanted nothing to do with you, if she could go through that alone, you had hope that she'd get through this.
You couldn't help but feel alone. All your siblings were in their own little bubble and you didn't want to disturb them and you know that they wouldn't care because all of you were all so close but you couldn't help feel like you were burdening them.
All of you were equally upset, each one of them had their own distraction to help not think about this, but you had taken days off to visit your mum during hospital hours and just pour you heart out even though she hadn't had her eyes open you knew she could hear you.
Days prior to this, you had been struggling with your emotions already.
You had given your notice in for work because the environment was becoming so toxic and this guy at work would non stop harassing you until you couldn't take it anymore, mentally it was taking a toll on your mental health. Your ex had gotten back into contact with you repeatedly changing numbers, making different social media accounts to contact you, after numerously blocking him.
Overall you felt like crap, you didn't want to tell your friends about this because you felt like you were asking for sympathy when you didn't want that and you felt like they were all happy within their lives and you didn't want to burst that with your sad feelings.
So you just put a fake smile on your face which was believable to people, and when you were alone tears wouldn't stop flowing.
You hated yourself for not being strong enough.
The peace and quietness lasted about 2 minutes before a message came through your phone. You instantly thought it was someone from the hospital updating you about your mum but this message had confused you even further
Anna?
You most definitely weren't Anna and you most certainly didn't have a date today.
(Imagine you can see the face. Thank youđ)
It was like an addiction messaging each other, you just couldnât stop. It was flirty banter most of time, he arranged for you to first meet him at a small cafĂš because he was eager to see you, and this meeting made you feel something for him, even more than you did.
The next meeting you decided to count it as a date, and ever since then you didnât look back.
He was seriously a blessing in disguise. Your mum was getting better, you got a new job and you couldnât be more happier that everything finally was starting to fall into place.
-
Over the months since your breakup you tried to forgive and forget; Forgive because he genuinely did have a lot going on and you also knew his passion for football and maybe you just need to find your way back to each other once the time is right. Forgetting about him and what he meant to you was the hardest thing to do.
Itâs been five months now since your breakup and not a day goes by without thinking about him. You just had to remind yourself that heâs probably not thinking about you anymore and heâs probably moved on and as much you wanted him to tell you that he wanted you back probably wasnât the case. Which hurt you deeply thinking about it but if thatâs what helps you to move on then so be it.
The first month was incredibly difficult for you, wanting to text him every hour of the day to try and work things out, even though he ended it you wanted him to fight for you, you once thought you meant the whole world to him, and now acted like you were strangers.
His friends had found out about the break up and checked in on you to see how you were doing. They didnât see it coming, especially Ben, he thought he was head over heels for you and he was always going on about how perfect his relationship is. Ben insisted on talking some sense into him but you refused, not wanting to force his way back to you, youâd much rather him come back to you when he was ready.
Whenever that was.
At this point you were starting to think that it would only happen in your dreams.
You felt a like crap and thought you were being over dramatic, thinking that Masonâs probably isnât doing the same and moping over this, so over the next two months you tried pushing him out of your mind and start focusing on your mental health and yourself, getting your self love back.
Saffie, Libby and Imogen, who had been your support system since helped you through it and you couldnât be more grateful. They also were shocked about the break up but as of right now you didnât care. You had come to terms with that it wasnât meant to be and you tried convincing yourself that you were fine with it.
When you moved in with Mason, it was difficult to see them, as they lived out of town and at the time things were just getting hectic that you didnât have the time, even though you hadnât seen each other for a while you had still kept each other updated on every little detail.
Tonight, you were going on a night out with your girls. It had been a while since you had a girls night and you couldnât wait because you had missed your girls.
âCheers!! I want to make a toast to Y/N. I want you to know that youâre the most strongest person I know and you donât need no mannn that makes you feel like shit!!â Libby screamed through the loud music that was playing at the club, and you all took a sip of your cocktails. You promised to yourself and the girls that wouldnât cry tonight and so far you were failing but you decided to blink the tears away and have the time of your life with your besties. Itâs the least you deserved.
-
You donât know how you got here but youâre not complaining.
You barely make it inside the house. As soon as you both are nside, youâre kissing, making out against the front door. Pushing him back, desperately wanting more, trying to suck every last drop out of the love that is still left.
Youâve missed him. Missed him so much.
âWe shouldnât do this,â Mason pants, pulling away, framing your face with his hands, and you nod.
âNo, but it feels good, doesnât it?â You say with a grin, thatâs all your willpower gone out of the window.
Mason grins at you. Just like he used to; itâs just like it used to be.
âFuck yes. Letâs go upstairs.â
You knows this will only hurt you in the morning but you canât resist, youâve missed him, missed how he feels, how he tastes. And all that matters right now is that your legs are wrapped around Masonâs waist and the way he groans when you push yourself into him.
Fuck, it feels good.
Itâs not a long, drawn out fuck, no changing positions, no words. Itâs not hasty either, but itâs desperate, both of them fighting for the perfect angle, chasing their release, needing it.
Still, itâs loving. The way Masonâs hand is in the exact right spot on your back, the way they kiss, breathlessly moaning into each others mouths. And the way they lock eyes, reading each otherâs faces.
Theyâve done this many times - spent so many nights entangled, making each other moan and pleasuring themselves. They know this, every part of it is familiar.
It happens too quickly, but you wouldnât have the strength to prolong it anyways. Itâs too much, there is not a single clear thought in your head as you kiss Mason through his climax.
âIt will hurt more tomorrow,â Mason whispers when you pull him closer under the blanket. You know heâs not just talking about you aching. His tone is soft, laced with a shadow of a sorry, his hand gently stroking your arm, the gesture putting you to sleep.
-
When you woke up it was around four AM you werenât surprised to find yourself sleeping next to someone but you couldnât pinpoint on who it was as you were too drunk and didnât remember a single thing about your one night stand as you rarely have them, silently cursing yourself for drinking too much.
This room seemed familiar to you though, you donât know if your mind was playing tricks on you or if it was actually familiar to you. That was until the person next to you turned to face you, still asleep and you were met with none other than Mason.
You shot up at the exact second, accidentally waking up Mason doing so. âY/N, whatâs wrong? Letâs get back to sleep yeah?â Mason says in a sleepy voice but you were still in a state of shock of how this happened, you were about to reply until you turned around to face him to see him asleep again.
How did you let this happen.
You went downstairs to compose yourself with a glass of water and watched your reflection on his window.
âYou stupid idiot. Why did you do this to yourself?â You thought. The more you thought about everything that had happened last night, how much you missed him touching you, kissing you, tears were forming because it just wasnât fair that he was making you feel like this.
In the middle of your thoughts, Mason entered the kitchen. He wrapped his arms around your waist, buried his face in your neck, kissing it repeatedly. âBaby, why are you here? Itâs 4am,â he whispered in your ear. You were just staring blankly outside at his patio, tears threatening to fall. Your lip started wobbling.
How could you be so dumb? He starts seducing you whilst drunk and it worked so easily he had you right where he wanted. You were never that girl to have one night stands, but this one felt like one because you knew what Masonâs decision was.
âListen, you were drunk. We both had a little too much to drink. I saw you in the club alone, I donât know where your friends were and you looked like you had a little too much to drink. I offered to take you home but you mentioned you left your keys with Imogen because you know how clumsy you can be and lose them. So I took you back to mine and I donât know how it happened but there was sexual tension in the air and we both started kissing and one thing led to another, but I want you to know it doesnât mean anything to me.â Mason said so confidently.
You needed a moment to hear the last sentence alone, but you wanted him to think that were coping well without him because he had moved on and somehow you needed to do the same, but after last night itâs become hard again. Itâs like having sex with him has brought your feelings back again but it doesnât matter because he doesnât feel the same about you anymore, even though when you broke up he told you that heâll always love you. You guessed that was lie.
You wanted it to mean something to him, you wanted him to ask for you back. You wanted him to fight for you.
Which will only happen in your dreams by the looks of it.
You wondered if he ever loved you? Now you just believed what your negative thoughts were telling you.
âIâm going to get my stuff and leave,â you said with a lump in your throat and glossy eyes.
Mason saw the expression on your face and was the sick of the sad expression you had on your face and he snapped, âOkay. Donât expect me to stop you then. I have moved on.â
Itâs like this was a different man in front of you, you donât remember getting to know this guy, you donât remember falling in love with him. The Mason you remember falling in love with wouldnât let you go without a fight. You werenât going to let him treat you like this so you snapped back. âYeah because you sleeping with me last night really tells me that youâve moved on doesnât it?â You rolled your eyes.
âIt was a mistake! I told you, I was drunk, you were drunk, one thing led to another and itâs a regret of mine now letting you think that youâll ever get close to me again. Maybe, just maybe if you werenât so needy all the damn time we couldâve given this a second chance.â Mason frustratedly said, with what he said, sounded like you hurt him, when he was the one to break up with you. It just didnât make any sense to you.
You wished he hadnât pushed you away. You pushed past Mason to get your things, not wanting to stay here a minute longer.
Mason stayed quiet, knowing what he said was wrong but in the heat of the moment it just came out. Once you came out of his room and got your things ready, you walked out his front door whilst he watched you leave.
-
It had been two nights since that night you encounter with Mason, you started thinking outside of box and tried moving on as he had, it was lot harder than you thought it would be. Maybe because the Mason you saw two nights ago was a completely different person in front of you.
Maybe if you went on a few dates it would help? You thought.
You never did see yourself separating from Mason, but thatâs how things currently were and you had to accept that. You decided to scroll on Twitter for bit and what first came up on suggested posts surprised you a little because you werenât expecting that when you opened the app.
To say you were more than hurt to see how heâs moved on quickly, but also you were convinced that the paparazzi make things worse from what they were. You experienced it when you were with Mason, so part of you were hoping that this girl pictured with him was just a friend but looking at the picture it was telling you something else.
You know it has been more than a few months that youâve broken up now but a part of you wasnât ready to let go. But you always promised yourself that if you saw Mason happy with another person you would be happy for him no matter how much it hurt you inside and you werenât going to ruin his happiness.
Thatâs if this article was true.
Now you needed to move on because it seemed like Mason wasnât going to come back to you by the looks of things and you need to accept that.
-
Mason didnât know how to feel when the paparazzi photos came out, first of all the pictures were completely misleading to what they actually were.
He wasnât on a date.
The only thing he was doing was playing Cupid, and setting this girl up with his mate, Ben. When Mason spotted Y/N on a night out with her friends, he was with Ben and a few of his other friends. This girl caught Benâs attention but he was too much of a scaredy cat to go up to her. He thought he missed his chance.
That was until, the girl, Chloe, reached out to Mason on DMs and asked if they could meet to talk things through. He knew Ben wouldnât dare to ask her outright, so they planned to call it a âblind dateâ because Chloe actually had her eyes on Ben and it turns out that when she was about to go up to him that night he had disappeared, she couldnât find him but she also knew Mason was good friends with Ben so sheâs shooting her shot the long way.
Mason still deeply loved Y/N, he only said he moved on because he wanted Y/N think heâs doing okay without her. He really doesnât know why he started pushing her away, and he regrets it because all he wanted know is Y/N between his arms. He would do everything for their relationship to be normal again, but instead he had to fuck it up.
Mason wonât be stupid enough to lose you again at any given chance. He was already stupid enough to know what life was like without you and heâs not risking that again.
He knew he needed to fix this.

My view on the dreams is that they are a twisted image of a desire that the boys have. They are simplistic in nature though, and that is reflected in what desire they portray. Deuce cares more about making his mom proud than going the easy way, but as shown in book 3 he does sometimes take the easy way out. He misses when this were simple and he could solve problems by just throwing punches. If I had to guess, in Deuces dream his mom supported him being a delinquent so he could solve problems with his fists and make his mom proud. For Cater, I think it has more to do with wanting to been seen. When Cater arrives at the courtroom everyone cheers for him. With how he is with magicam, I think he wants to been seen but is scared to show his true self. I think that Malleus' magic took his desire to be seen as a desire for attention--Which Cater typically portrays it as too--and put him in a position where he would be admired and praised. I also think it is interesting how Trey and Riddle are kinder(?) to him then canon. We see Trey complain in canon about Cater not opening up to him, so maybe this shows that Cater wants to open up to Trey but he doesn't know how. It is midnight for me and I can feel my sleep meds getting annoyed that I am fighting them to write this, so if you want me to elaborate on anything lmk and I will do so when I am not mostly asleep.
I understand what youâre trying to say about the nature of the dreams; thatâs my basic understanding too đŠ The bare bones of how they work is⊠fine, in isolation. I just wish the main story didnât try to be super ambitious with the concept because the more they try to explain it, the less sense it makes and the less it sounds like the writers themselves seem to understand what theyâre saying đ
I think thereâs a difference between acquiring someone elseâs study guide to guarantee a passing grade versus dropping all efforts to excel academically in favor of trading fists instead, but I think I still understand the general idea. This ends up rounding back to the question of how much do the dreams pull from conscious desires versus unconscious ones, because thereâs a clash between the desire for simpler ways to resolve issues and Deuce actively wanting to turn over a new leaf.
I think this could lead into other issues as well. For example, if Deuceâs mom (Dylla) theoretically supports him being a delinquent, would that not trigger an emotional response in him and cause Deuce to wake??? Iâd imagine that this would conflict with his reality in which he overheard his momâs emotionally distressing phone call, which was his motivation to abandon his days as a delinquent. Lilia woke when the dream!senators praised him for hatching Malleus rather than berate him for it; his brain registered the discrepancy and reacted accordingly. In Caterâs dream, the dream!Riddle trying to collar everyone ended up waking himâso isnât this proof that the darkness trying to keep them asleep can fuck up and accidentally be the trigger that causes them to wake up too?? Would this not become a concern for Deuce as well if his dream begins to struggle to maintain the logic of his delinquent school?
Caterâs dream provides a similarly confusing scenario. If his desire is just to be seen, there were several much easier situations he could have gotten. Why would his dream actively hand him a position, power, and responsibilities he doesnât want instead of⊠I donât know, simply making him a popular, admired, and well-liked upperclassman??? You donât need him to be a dorm leader in order to accomplish this. You could literally only change it so that Trey is HIS childhood friend instead or Riddleâs. Wouldnât that be the easier solution????
It continues to feel like the writers are picking fanservice scenarios rather than what actually makes the most sense in-universe. Again, itâs a big inconsistency with the writing of the dreams and as a result it has been a major point of my criticism for the writing of book 7 as a whole.
I do think it was interesting that both dream!Trey and Riddle were more lenient with Cater than they are irl, though Trey is generally lenient with everyone. Maybe more indulgent is the right word?? This behavior change is much more noticeable with Riddle, whose attitude most likely had to be adjusted to avoid any âparty poopersâ in Caterâs dream. Canât say I really see why dream!Trey and Riddle being this way with Cater would imply him wanting to open up to TreyâŠ? They didnât really seem to demonstrate any more intimacy or familiarity with one another than they do irl. Dream!Trey isnât all that different, and any changes we do observe are not exclusive to him and are, in fact, more notable in dream!Riddle than in Trey.
And that speaks to another recurring issue I have with book 7âs dreams⊠They donât make a ton of sense on their own and have to rely on fan interpretations, most of which will be imperfect or flawed somehow because the game failed to explain the parameters beforehand. If the game wanted us to come to a certain conclusion, they should have granted us the clues and the tools to do so. The way it is now, itâs like a mystery thatâs full of red herrings (but hey, at least theyâre âfunâ red herrings) and everyone is looking at different clues and coming to radically different answers because of that. As I suggested in this post, maybe this was intentional because dreams irl are vague. If could have been done this way to promote character analysis and theory crafting in the fandom⊠but since no one has found a âperfectâ explanation and no general consensus has been reachedâon top of the many, MANY plot holesâI doubt it đ
It feels like youâre trying to repair a dam by slapping a band-aid on a leak, only for two more leaks for spring up with every corrective attempt.
Those are my thoughts!! (And remember to stock up on sleep!)

being a cartel leaderâs girlfriend is obviously not an easy task for anyone, and you were no exception. in fact, you spend a lot of your time alone since valeria is on mission. she leave you in her penthouse with some of her men to keep you safe.
âiâll be back in around 1 month, princesa" is what she tells you before going on a new mission, and it was again a lie. you were waiting for her for 3 weeks now and there is no valeria. and this situation was annoying for you because you needed her with you ; not somewhere, risking her life.
--
right now, you were on the couch of the living room, watching some stupid tv show you found while zapping. you couldnât stop thinking about valeria, what is she doing ? when the fuck is she going to come back ? this situation made you think that you werenât that important to her, you knew what it would be like when you started to date her but you didnât know it could be that hard.
after 1 hour of watching tv, you heard noises coming from the entry of your house. you knew it was her just by hearing the footsteps. but for once, you werenât going to get up and happily hugging her as if she wasnât gone for 2 months. this time you decided to talk with her about it.
--
"hello, sweetheart. i'm home" shit. you'd be lying to yourself if hearing her voice didn't affect you because you missed her. but for once, you didn't want to do her the favor of not telling her about her tardiness, which by the way, is one of the many others when she's away on mission.
"mmh hello? is someone here? baby?" you know she was searching for you.
"yeah yeah. i'm in the living room". you said.
you heard her almost running to you. she enters the living room, only to open her arms wanting a hug. but you didn't move, you arms were crossed and you looked at her with a raised eyebrow. valeria look at you, confused. she didn't know why you refused her hug.
"princesa? are you ok?". she asked confuse.
this time you decided to let it out.
"yeah, i have a problem actually. 2 months. 2 fucking months without knowing where you were, if you were okay. i was almost asking myself if you weren't dead." you snapped.
valeria was still looking at you, this time she seems shocked. it was the first time since you both met that you speak to her like this.
she retorted. "really? the first thing you do when you saw me is saying that? like you couldn't just wait tomorrow for telling me this? we didn't saw each other since 2 months and you attack me. i-"
she couldn't end her sentence that you cut her off.
"no i couldn't just wait tomorrow for telling you this". you imitated her. "i'm tired of your lies, you told me before leaving that you were going to be back 1 month later. but what was my surprise when you weren't there the following month. as if i'm not used to you lying about when you'll be back."
valeria took a deep breath, relaxing herself before talking, she wanted to stay calm for once because she knew this time she was in the wrong
"okay listen. i'm sorry but let me exp-". you cut her off again.
"not you're not sorry, you're sorry i'm arguing with you"
"for fuck sake, y/n stop cutting me off. stop being immature and let me talk". valeria reposted.
the tension between you started to rise. someone outside the scene could even notice the sexual tension that was building up too.
"being immature for what? for telling you about the problem? and maybe finding a solution? or because i tell about that problem right now and not tomorrow, huh?".
valeria didnât even know what to answer. the only thing she has done at that moment was to instinctively kiss you to shut you up. the kiss was kinda rough but still full of caring.
"itâs not going to solve our problem". you said between a break.
"i know babe, we both know that arguing right now is not going to help us. so let me just taste these lips that i missed. i promise you that we're going to talk about it tomorrow" valeria said while trapping you against the wall and going down on your neck. she perfectly know it is your weak spot.
you wanted to say something but you couldn't, and once again the hold she has on you erases anger to give a way to desire
"p-please val". you moaned slightly.
your moans give valeria butterflies, itâs been a long time since she heard them, so she wants to enjoy them for the night.
hearing your moans gives valeria butterflies
her body is tense and kinda screaming for you. for the moment, she just want to feel you, she need it. she knows sheâs in wrong for not telling you that the mission was gonna take much longer but she just want to forget this at this moment and just be near you.
you both headed to the shared room and valeria lay you down on the bed and put herself on the top of you. she bend down and just stop near your lips, only a few inches are separating them. at this moment, you could feel your heart rate pretty fast as you feel valeriaâs breath against your lips.
"tonight is going to be your night amor, so let me make it up to you" she said, as she finally press her lips against yours.

The sword is flying under his hold. The blocks are up at each incoming. The slices are too easy from oneâs perspective, but Keith always makes it seem so.
His young age of seventeen is nothing to hold back on. Thirty years of existence can hold the same as he is now, taking on robotic enemies as his use of training at every opportunity until dealing with the real deal. His blood will continue to boil by the rising heat. His focus will continue to be dead center at every turn, spotting, and target to take down. His actions will continue to be his greatest tools, the sword being an addition to what he can already accomplish. And his dedication will continue to stay and rise at every improvement he will experience within this space adventure.
âEnd of training sequence!â
His mind should also follow, continuing his training until reaching a point of total exhaustion and close passing out if doing one more, five by force.
Instead he lasts thirty levels before giving up on his mindâs choice of focus. Admitting defeat when heading over to the bench against the wall, gulping down on the sweating water pouch as the cold temperature is decreasing. While the water is refreshing, it only gives a cooling to his body â and clearance to his mindâs taunting.
It was an accident.
He knows that. They know that. It shouldnât cause any chance, but he knows different.
They hardly look at each other eye to eye, glancing away when passing in halls. Only when in missions will their focus on each other was there. Once completed, excuses will rise to get away from the other.
Itâs considered a normal reaction, really. At least, at first. But doing it for over two weeks now is a difficulty to hide, even when the rest of the team is starting to pick up on their tension. Hardly were the fights present, petty arguments that would have the room annoyed while expecting. A common sense of existence that is now hiding away, and gets silence to be its replacement. And a bad one at that.
Sighing, the dampness at the top of his head now lays upon the wall, his face opposite to the pearl ceiling and its many insert lights. Getting along is already hard as it is, and Keith didnât mind the silence â or is used to it within the years. But this silence⊠It is too much for him. Silence is to be like a library to him, not a trapped box with no entry or thin spots to break through.
Why is this a big deal? It didnât mean anything!
The clench in his chest says another, a sign with a groan following in escape.
I have to talk to Lance, his mind voices. This will affect everything in future missions if we donât work this out. God, I sound like ShiroâŠ
With a push back to standing, Keith then brings up the small towel he placed earlier. He needs a shower first before speaking. He wouldnât give a damn about it if done months ago, but now he really needs one when heading towards them. It can make a bad impression if he doesnât.
He wishes it was longer, though. Fully cleansed with a fresh set of exact clothing in black, dread is making his skin urging to sweat when standing opposite to the door. One belonging to the former Blue Paladin, now taking his Red, bearing a silence inside that can mean anything: skin care treatment, early slumber, just in thought as he was.
He knows earlier that spending time with Hunk and Pidge isnât done. The duo are consistent on whatever technical issues and solutions to give Lance a moment in time. At least in speaking with them; he didnât miss Hunkâs glance that led to a private talk in the kitchen after dinner.
âI think you two need to talk,â Hunk confessed. âThe last I spent time with Lance, he was quiet as he was every meal. And I noticed the glances he passes at you sometimes.â
Keith grimaced, his arms crossing at his chest tightening a bit. âWhat can I do? I donât know how to talk to him. For all I know, another argument can come up.â
âItâs better than this silence, Keith. Everyone is noticing, and youâre lucky youâre getting this out of me than from Shiro.â
He still is lucky on that. Older brother figure giving advice is handling a boulder you are requested to hold, also know that responsibility is one hundred percent yours.
âJust try, Keith. Weâre all worried about you guys. It really isnât like you twoâŠâ
And it never would have if it didnât happen.
He sighs, taking for once acknowledging at the weight than treating as a nuisance throughout the days. With a gloved hand in a fist, he knocks three times on the metal door.
âLance? Itâs me.â
It takes seconds while feeling like hours before the metal slides open. That mocking joy his blue eyes would hold are gone. Only a spot of shame as if caused a mistake that is taking a toll on him.
Discomfort gets the same hand holding his bicep.
âWhatâs up?â Not even the casual greeting holds any positive emotion. Just the shame, as if itâs the only one to keep him going.
âCan we talk, please?â Keith asks. âAbout⊠what happened?â
Eye contact breaks by Lanceâs discomfort, turning away with his eyes close. But just as Keith was ready to push further into it, Lance then steps aside for given access.
âOkay.â
Stepping in a space bedroom shouldnât give the feeling of stepping on ground where the enemies were close and bound to attack on sight. But once the doors shut behind him, sealing the boys in, Keith is willing to go into battle instantly than to be inside here.
Only the sight of Lanceâs visible discomfort to small himself away from sight is the force in keeping him in place.

With the winners of the zodiac polls until now,how you imagine the relashionship between them, their power and their kwami?
Multimouse
Marinette with Mouse is a mixed bag. It's both helpful and unhelpful. Given the busy body multitasker that Marinette is, she is delighted to find that this Miraculous can make her the ultimate multitasker! She can get so much done at the same time! Which is great in opening up her schedule more. But it clicks for her that she can get even more done too, and she starts to pile more onto her plate, doing more and more, spreading herself out more and more, embracing the productivity, the concept of taking a break far from her mind, she can't stop now when there's so much she can now do... expect this to be a for sure lesson focus for Marinette to learn.
In the field, Multimouse is the resourceful planner. Having only numbers on her side (which are delicate), she works off her surroundings and make elaborate traps. If she can, she would try to talk and appeal to akumas, especially when by herself. With the team, she often takes the planner roles and steps up as leader as needed but doesn't aim for it. It was a bit of a struggle to find her footing as some of her comrades had a tendency to rush and power through fights, so plans and traps weren't as needed. But she does bring perspective to her allies, pointing out details they miss, and can help direct them to perform at their best.
Out of the current team so far, she works best with Senushi, Hollyhop, and Oudragon; two of them being a brawn to Multimouse's brain, though Hollyhop echoes and works off Multimouse's compassion. Purple Tigress is a little harder to work with as she's more elusive and act on their own, and Python occasionally just competes with her on intellect.
With Mullo, Marinette finds her to be exhausting. Given this kwami is a gremlin who likes to prank humans, Mullo loves to throw curve balls in Marinette's life. She likes to try and startle Marinette, she'll stash away things Marinette needs or will look for and not bring them out no matter how much Marinette asks or demands it. Mullo claims that usually it's to get Marinette to take breaks, but since Marinette doesn't get what she wants after a break, she's certain it's more Mullo's little games to mess with her. But Marinette is resilient, long has she been able to roll with life's punches, she can roll with this gremlin, and seeks solutions to entertain Mullo so she can get work done (like making her a maze). Mullo can also be the devil on her shoulder, playing into Marinette's perfectionism, especially with competition, to aim to win, to get a leg up over others. She actively tries to get Marinette to cheat to secure an easy win, but Marinette's got too strong a sense of integrity to do so. But she will aim to put her best foot forward.
Senushi
For Kagami, Willpower feels natural. As someone who is direct, bold, and charge at challenges, this power is right of Kagami's alley. It's just so satisfying being able to punch an annoying akuma in the face and see them go flying across Paris. All the better when it's that infuriating brat Chloe or the liar Lila.
In the field, Senushi will just power through fights, especially when by herself, often winning through brute force. And as it worked for her, she wasn't one to really work with others initially. She rather just handle things on her own and felt the others would just slow her down. That is, until Hawk Moth started making akumas that couldn't be solved with brawls. It was then that Multimouse's perspective, direction, and plans started to help Senushi win in fights.
Out of the current team so far, Multimouse is the only one Senushi doesn't mind working with. Purple Tigress she's put off by her elusive nature, sometimes feels like she's cheating. Hollyhop she does think is useful but is too much of a pacifist for her liking. Oudragon is arrogant. Python has a similar appeal as Multimouse, but doesn't work off her strengths as well.
Kagami gets along well with Stompp. He's equally direct and to the point, he backs her preference to charge into challenges, to never shy away, backing that she has the power and she can throw that weight around. The only thing they ever butt heads about is Kagami being dismissive towards others while Stompp wants her to stop and help others in need.
Purple Tigress
Juleka finds Prowl to be a natural power, being able to slip into shadows, go where she pleases. As fun and cool as it is, it was a bit of a lonely power.
Initially, Purple Tigress was an uncommon sight to see for the heroes, as she was a more stealth and ambush hero. She actually didn't really connect with any heroes at first, with Oudragon being the first she connects with (at least for now), with the Dragon hero seeing use for her elusive nature. Now they have a little too much fun outsmarting and scaring akumas.
With Roaar, Juleka is gradually finding her voice. Despite having a stealthy power, Roaar ironically is very bossy, and she directs that to trying to get Juleka to speak up and stand up for herself, for a tiger should never cower or be held back by anxiety! Which early on, really overwhelmed Juleka with pressure and distress. At some point, she will snap and "roar" like her kwami wants, and revealing a lot of withheld frustration, though she's not quite there yet in having a voice, or entirely is where she wants to be publicly.
Hollyhop
Rose works well with Blue Moon, it gives her a chance to take in her surroundings, to rush to others and help as needed.
As a pacifist, Hollyhop actually spends her time clearing out civilians than focusing on the akuma and fights, which has frustrated some of her allies as she can easily just go and grab the item and end a fight there. Hollyhop does do so, but if she sees someone in danger, she'll prioritize them first. For this reason, Multimouse is the one Hollyhop gets along with the most, sharing her sense of empathy, and offering the more reactive Hollyhop some direction when there are details she missed.
With Fluff, holder and kwami seem like a very ditzy pair between Fluff's rambles and Rose's daydreaming. They actually wind up feeding into each other a lot, but do kinda balance each other out as Fluff is very observant, catching details that Rose misses, and Rose is more grounded, able to slow Fluff down when the kwami is spiraling.
Oudragon
Aurore loves Sky's Limit. She's an aspiring weather girl, who gets to control the weather! And having a bit of an ego, she has used this at least once to get carried away talking about the weather and what happens (expect this to be a focus lesson at some point).
In the field, Oudragon thrives on just overwhelming her opponents with weather and elements. Even limited to 5 minutes to do so, she can be an absolute powerhouse. Until Hawk Moth gets a little more clever with his akumas, and she needs to adjust how she goes about fights.
This is where Multimouse and Python comes to be a big help, being more thinkers and planners to her. She also enjoys working with Purple Tigress, and like to tag team messing with akumas as they can both be ambushers.
With Longg, Aurore is delighted to find that he's a meteorologist at heart, and is eager to learn his knowledge. He is very quick to disapprove of her trying to use this power to boost her popularity for perfectly predicting the weather, pushing for integrity instead. Longg does try to try push Aurore to be more humble and patient, but this is a harder task to achieve. But he is there to offer a different perspective when Aurore has her head in the clouds.
Python
Max is fascinated with Recoil and it's possibilities, and is very explorative with it. He somewhat approaches it like it's a bit of a game, to see how he can solve issues on his own.
Which does largely have him dealing with akumas on his own initially, and he struggles to work with others or his plans get carried away. He does find he can work off Multimouse's own intellect well enough, but can turn it into a bit of a competition. He can work well with Senushi, but she doesn't always have the patience for his plans. He so far works best with Oudragon, able to use his power to send enemies back into her storm or help do damage control when she gets going. Unlike Senushi, she's also more patient and willing to listen to what he's thinking.
With Sass, Max gets along with him very well. Being sharp, Sass likes to be intellectually engaging, and often pushes trying to get Max to look upon things with different perspective, to be open to making adjustments, like working with others more. If needed, Sass will allow consequences to be a teacher, then offer the advise when he knows Max will listen.
