It’s quite telling how fixedly the creature focuses on how beautiful, gentle, kind, pure, etc. this family is. Every word is laced with longing, perhaps at expense of a fair and reasonable judgement of these people. The way he venerated the smallest of things—how could they be unhappy? they have fire?—and stays fixated on these people for so long, because it’s what he wants and never had—can’t have, perhaps? Doing so seemingly unaware of the odd and unsettling nature of spying on people while lamenting for himself? I’m not quite sure where I’m going with this, but it’s very informative
#frankenstein weekly#i am biased to sympathize with creatures and outcasts so there is that#but so far? he doesn’t seem to have done anything truly reprehensible#stalking a family is I’ll advised and strange and I wouldn’t recommend doing so#but as far as reprehensible actions go? his sufferings seem to outweigh his wrongs currently#so I’m curious how that will change based on what others have said

Steve Harrington had known for a while that he was on thin ice. His parents let him change his hair and clothes and name after a harrowing night that ended with him in a hospital bed.
So he tried to behave. They couldn’t complain as long as he played the perfect son. He did everything right. He excelled at sports, he didn’t make a fuss, he even fell in love with a wonderful girl.
Though, things got a little rocky when his dealer left town and handed things over to the local freak show. When he went to pick up his bottles, Loudmouth Munson tried to get under his skin.
“Y’know I always had a feeling you were doping.” Munson said, leaning against the picnic table.
“Would you just hand it over?” Steve held out his hand for the containers Munson was keeping hostage.
“This is a lot, Harrington, you’d think Hawkins would have actually won a championship by now with you on this stuff.”
Steve resisted the urge to rip it from his hands. Munson grinned an insufferable smile, like he enjoyed how much Steve was glaring at him.
“I’m not taking it because of basketball,” Steve said.
“So why then?”
“I don’t have to tell you shit.”
“Dude,” Munson raised his hands in a placating gesture. “Relax, I’m just messing with you. Call it fair play. Didn’t think you’d be so sensitive about it.”
Steve’s hands were still itching to grab it. Munson seemed to notice how antsy he was, following his anxious gaze flickering between the package and Munson’s face.
“Don’t ya trust me, Harrington?” He said.
“Not even a little,” Steve replied. He felt a tendon jump in his jaw.
“Can’t handle the thought of not having your steroids? Some people actually need these hormones to survive, rich boy.” Munson’s tone switched from teasing to something more somber, or maybe bitter. It was hard for him to tell those things.
Under normal circumstances he would have never said what he ended up saying. Munson had a way of pushing his buttons.
“I need them.” Steve watched an ant crawl around a knot in the wood in front of him. “I wouldn’t expect you to understand. Nobody in this town would understand.”
Steve looked up at a shocked Eddie Munson and held out a handful of bills. “Give me my drugs, take your money, and don’t tell fucking anybody about this. You got it?”
Eddie didn’t move for a long moment, carefully studying Steve and his outstretched hand. His rings flashed as he pushed the package over to Steve’s side of the table and grabbed the money in one swift movement.
“‘Course, Harrington. You get dealer-dealee confidentiality just like everybody else.”
Steve was glad the transaction was over. He grabbed his hormones and stood up to leave when Eddie’s voice stopped him in his tracks.
“You’re not the only one.”
Eddie looked very serious, dark curls brushing the tops of his furrowed brows. It was a good look on him.
Steve felt his hopes rise. There were others like him in town. But, how could he be sure that Eddie was talking about what he thought he was talking about?
“Munson,” Steve said cautiously, “I don’t think we’re on the same page.”
Eddie, still seated, crossed his arms. “I guess there’s no way to know for sure unless one of us says it plainly, and I’m sure as hell not going to. I don’t want to end up on the news.”
“You don’t trust me?” Steve echoed, quirking up the side of his mouth.
It got a small smile from Munson. “You don’t even know who it is; dealer-dealee confidentiality goes both ways. I can’t go around blabbing about what drugs everybody’s on, I’d alienate my customer base.”
“Then I guess we’re at a standstill.”
Eddie looked at him with a curious expression. “I guess so.”
Steve took a few steps away from the table, leaves crunching under feet, before turning around. He hesitated. Eddie looked at him with those dark brown eyes of his, which didn’t help his resolve.
“Eddie,” the man’s eyebrows raised at the use of his first name. Steve continued, “if you ever feel like blabbing, you know where to find me.”
Eddie stayed quiet for once, the sounds of the woods surrounding the two of them as they lingered.
“Same to you, Steve,” He finally replied.

My thoughts during “The Sign” [SPOILERS!!!!!]
ID in ALT
More thoughts under the cut
So I think most of us can agree that this is the best episode of Bluey so far. It was so emotional and satisfying in ways that are kinda new for Bluey. It answered so many questions while giving us a few new ones. I’ve been waiting for this episode for months and it did not disappoint in any way.
This is just a Chekov’s firing squad of an episode. As in a lot of stuff that was set up in earlier episodes all pay off in this episode. I kinda understand why people love soap operas now lol. I will say that this episode was a tad overwhelming for me in the best way possible. As in I had to pause and rewind every 30 seconds or so so I could emotionally process what was happening before moving forward (but that’s a me thing). There was just so much going on and I’m happy about that.
Now onto individual thoughts about specific things:
The callback to Baby Race (“you took your first steps in that house!”) really got to me because Baby Race was the first episode of Bluey that I watched and it immediately made me fall in love with it so it just got to me.
When Chilli said “Frisky and I came up here as teenagers to…um…think,” my mind started racing immediately with “what the FUCK happened at the Lookout?” “Who hurt Frisky and/or Chilli?” And I’m just so curious about what made Chilli say that line like that but we’ll probably never know what happened.
So yeah that scene at the end when the music was playing and Bandit ripped the sign out of the ground and Chilli tackled him to the ground ABSOLUTELY CHANGED my brain chemistry y’all. I can’t articulate my feelings any more than that.
I know some people were upset that Brandy ended up getting pregnant but I thought it was great for her! I’m happy for her! And I think that even though she got what she wanted in the end doesn’t negate the feelings she had about her infertility earlier. But I think we’re all wondering who the father is and I don’t know if the show really needs to answer that.
The whole message of “we’ll see” in terms of if something is good or bad is such a mature message that I never really thought of like that so I will be taking that philosophy forward in life. Congratulations Bluey, you managed to teach a 22-year-old childless person something new and insightful about life that I don’t think I’ve learned from another show.
I want to know more about what Bob was going through and feeling and why he went to India, but again, we’ll probably never know.
I just love how the wedding photos were beautiful but imperfect. Like of course we’re not perfect and nothing will ever be perfect but it’s beautiful and worth remembering anyway.
So many little jokes and moments were so funny in a mature way (I.e. “are we allowed to do that?” And Nana thinking there was about to be a baby announcement) were just so funny and memorable.
I think some people would say it’s a cop-out to end up not selling the house after building it up for 2 episodes but I don’t know, I think it works. I think Bluey and Bingo learned a valuable lesson and Bandit (and Chilli kinda) learned it’s not always about making their kids lives “perfect” in their eyes. Also I’m just personally glad they didn’t end up selling the house and I also kinda like that it wasn’t entirely their choice to keep it.
On a more serious note I think this episode has some interesting commentary on like gender roles and gender relations in straight relationships. In this episode Chilli and Frisky (both women) have to deal with their male significant others pressuring them to move with them far away from what they know and love. In the end they don’t end up moving and the men didn’t seem to have like malicious or selfish intent with it, they were just kinda basing their choices off their jobs instead of what’s best emotionally for their loved ones. But I think it’s interesting to have this conflict where gender is kinda brought up in a way (“because your husband is making you”). It kinda plays into the traditional idea of like men are the breadwinners and the family has to move with them regardless of what they actually want. And this episode kinda like deconstructs that and says “no, it’s not always about the job or money, it’s also sometimes about connections and emotional attachment.” And I’m not saying that you should never move or whatever, but really weigh your options. I just thought that it was interesting that this episode kinda touched on that.
So yeah that’s kinda the main thoughts I had on this episode if you made it this far thank you for reading my rambles and have a good one!

I am going FERAL over this imagine:
So basically Bruce brings reader home to be his new daughter/the boys' new sibling but Uh Oh! They now want you carnally and reader is just like "you said you wanted me as a daughter/sibling, wtf is this" and being their platonic darling is better than being shared between them romantically so reader tries to come off as innocent and child/sibling coded by being like "yeah I've never actually kissed or dated anyone before aren't I just so innocent" and the boys are like :)))
So then Dick says you can call him your boyfriend "just to feel it out" and Tim starts blatantly stealing your panties and Jason says he can give you your 1st kiss so you can "practice" with him and Bruce offers to teach you how to touch yourself and (and him) and when you try to walk it back cause the boys are being Freaks they're in their delulu era so eventually you end up tied to the bed with the boys and Bruce drawing straws over who gets to take what 1sts (like 1st date, kiss, virginity, ect).
And Damien is just in the background absolutely SEETHING cause the the boys and Bruce's Horny Time keeps interrupting his Mommy Time with the reader
And reader using Damien as kind of a shield cause what are they going to do, feel you up in front of a CHILD? Like just, "Stay Platonic :))"
Just that kind of pseudo incest makes me Feel Things (*/∀\*)(///∇///)
I'd love your thoughts/a fic based on this! Ty ❤️
TW: Brief mentions of pseudo incest(y) scenarios/behavior, manipulative tactics, yandere tendencies
(Okay so I’ll answer this with my thoughts for right now.)
I know I primarily write incest(y) related topics for my Game of Thrones/ASOIAF stuff but I have been tempted to/curious about branching it out into some of the other fandoms I write for 👀. (I’ve had a few ideas rolling around in my noggin for a bit if anyone is interested.) So I would be willing to give this a try. I’m down to experiment with some new stuff, within reason of course.
I imagine the Reader being older (probably 19-23), maybe even having been a runaway of sorts or not having a very stable home life, so when they’re given the ‘offer’ to become part of the family they’re looking to fulfill a familial void they’ve never experienced or have forgotten how it’s felt like. I definitely see Bruce and the rest of the boys keeping a very close eye on the Reader before they decide to finally bring them into their family, basically full on stalking them from the moment they caught their attention (you know how the Batfam works). It wouldn’t be a surprise if even before the Reader was with them physically that the boys developed a more carnal desire for them. At first, their intentions were completely platonic, but with all the lengthy observing and information gathering of their supposed-to-be-new-family-member eventually something changed in how they all saw their darling.
I really see the change in their obsession starting with either Dick or Tim first. Especially regarding some accidental or purposeful peeping Tom foolery. I feel like Bruce would be the last to fall victim to the change in direction or at the very least he’s the last one to admit to it. If Damian is younger than I see his obsession staying strictly platonic, but if he were much older than I could see him involving himself to the same depths as his family.
At first, I see things happening subtly. Knowing that at the very least a few of them are already in an obsessive-romantic headspace in regards to their darling before they even physically become part of the family the guys would try to be as welcoming as possible without revealing their true intentions. They don’t want to scare you off right away, they want you to walk into it semi-willingly at least. But the interactions with the Reader would show something else. The lingering touches, the being much closer to you than really necessary, the heated grazes over your clothes here and there that leave you wondering if that actually happened or not. I also kind of like the other members not being fully aware of each other’s change in obsession, everyone giving each other the side eye until it sets in and then all out war of who gets the darling to themself unfolds only to eventually end up with them working together and agreeing to share. That’s when Bruce’s heel-turn is revealed.
Once things get truly amped up, the interactions with the Reader really begin to escalate. The boys would walk around shirtless more often, all of them trying to get their darling to look at them, to really look at them. Eventually, it’s not just them being shitless but either them in nothing but their underwear or nothing at all. They start out as accidents but eventually it’s pretty loud and clear that the guys want you to see them, all of them, to even touch them and feel them to your hearts content. But thats not all, of course it’s not. The touching of their darling only gets all the more intense, to the point that you know damn well that they’re touching you and they want to leave you wanting for more. So much more. The Reader’s innocence and lack of experience would only spur them on even more. They absolutely thrive off of it. They all want to be your first, your first everything. There will be a lot of secret ‘lessons’ being given behind closed doors and telling of “Don’t tell Batdaddy or he’ll get real mad.” “Don’t let Jay know, or he’ll want to punish you for not doing this with him.” “Let this be our secret, (Name). Something just for you and me.” “Can’t tell anyone about this or they’ll ruin it for the both of us.” And they only get even worse from there.
I can’t see Alfred being okay with this in any situation, whatsoever. I think he especially would feel like Bruce and the other boys completely took advantage of the Reader and he would try his best to aid them in trying to keep up with the platonic intention of this entire fiasco. He would be a total cockblock, even going as far as helping Damian in his cockblocking endeavors. Alfred’s intention would be to play both sides so he knows how to help the Reader when it comes to Bruce and the others but it wouldn’t take too long for them to figure out that Alfred is working against them. Like, Alfred was all for the familial-platonic obsession but when things started getting more romantic he was ready to shut that shit down ASAP. You can’t tell me he hasn’t, at least a few times, locked Bruce, Dick, Jason, and Tim out of the house to give the Reader some peace and give Damian his much deserved allotted time with them.
Speaking of Damian, he is a menace (as per usual) but even more so than normal. He really doesn’t take too well to the new direction of his father’s and brothers’ obsession for the Reader. He thinks it’s pretty messed up but he sincerely likes and cares about the Reader and he wants them to stay, he wants them to continue being a part of the family forever so he’ll let some things slide. Some. He even may be willing to look the other way when it eventually comes to Bruce, Dick, Jason, and Tim baby-trapping the Reader if it means this whole ‘family’ thing becomes set in stone with the arrival of a new ‘sibling’. But for the most part, at least early on, Damian would be a huge pain in the ass for the other family members. He feels like he needs to step in to save his darling from the others and their ulterior motives. He’s all his parental/older sibling figure needs, at least at that point. He may even try to runaway with them to keep them safe from the others. Hell, he may even get his mother involved if he was desperate enough, especially if he saw the Reader as a parental figure. Or maybe even another Justice League member to either adopt him and the Reader so that he could have that family experience he was promised with the Reader. Or he would be completely content just living the rest of his life just him and the Reader, platonically of course.
It would either take Bruce or Dick to have a talk with Damian to get him to come to some agreement to allow them to continue with what they’re doing in regards to the Reader. I think Dick would get away with manipulating Damian much better than Bruce could. I think Damian would have some opinions about his father especially throughout this whole situation. Especially since I see Damian being very observant of how Dick, Jason and Tim are behaving towards the Reader early on and picking up on the fuckery taking place, even going as far as telling Bruce about it under the belief his father would be on his side (not ever fathoming the idea of his father also doing similar things to the Reader without him ever knowing). As far as Damian knew his father was completely platonic towards the Reader, as a ‘father’ should be. Right? So understandably Damian feels not only betrayed but also disgusted when he finds out that his father was and still is taking part in, acting in a similarly depraved fashion as the others.
Eventually, I could see them coming together and being one big ‘happy’ family. But it sure as hell comes at a price. (Usually the Reader’s freedom and sense of self outside of the obsession they’ve been dragged into, to drown in alongside their yandere(s).)

red thread || jake “hangman” seresin
summary: fate has a funny way of bringing people together, and it’s made no exception for you and hangman. you’ve grown up together; there's not a day that goes by in which you aren't glued to each others' sides. as kids, you promised each other that if you were still single at 30 you'd get married. but when that day finally arrives, you wonder just how much things will change.
words: ~2.3k
warnings: nothing. unless you’re like me and commitment scares you, then yeah lmao. hangman is an absolute gentleman in this though :) biggest TW is my writing...sorry. idk what happened. some slight mentions of angst and injury but nothing graphic :)
a/n: mannn my writing has gone downhill idk how yall other talented writers do it. i wish i could write that well 😭but, i’m proud of this...plotwise, at least! (my fics are doing so bad for some reason while everyone else seems to be blowing up??? idk) btw, the first part of this fic takes place two years before tgm
It was 1:30 a.m, and you couldn’t fall asleep.
It seemed that Hangman had the same idea as you as he told you to meet him outside the Hard Deck in five. The coastal air and Jake Seresin was the perfect combination to help you unwind, so of course you said yes.
“There she is,” he grinned as he offered a helping hand. “My favorite fellow insomniac.”
“Nightmares keep you up, Jake?” you teased. “What’s the matter this time?”
“Same as you. Don’t feel like sleeping yet,” Hangman answered. “Can you believe it? We’re awake, and Fanboy and Payback aren’t.”
“Now that’s a first,” you laughed. “Thought I’d never live to see that day, but here we are.”
“We’re making history day by day.”
“You know…sometimes,” you breathed out as you rested your head on his shoulder, “I wonder what it’d be like if we never met.”
“Didn’t you ask that same question fifteen years ago?”
“We were much younger back then. It’s different now.”
“Well, then…I don’t like to imagine it.”
Your brows furrowed. “Why not?”
“It’d be weird. You’ve always been a big part of my life, so to think you almost could’ve not been in it…it’s weird. Uncomfortable, even.”
“Yeah, it is weird…” your voice trailed off as you lingered on the thought. You’ve always done everything together. How different would your lives be now if you hadn’t become friends; hadn’t stayed in touch through college? “But don’t be sad, because I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon.”
Hangman gave you a light punch in the arm. “I’m not complaining.”
“Good.”
“You know, Y/N…there’s one more thing.”
“Uh oh.”
“Hear me out,” he started. “Remember that deal we made when we were kids?”
“The one about helping each other bury a body if needed, or getting married?”
“The second one…I thought the first was a given since the day we met. That’s something all friends are supposed to do for each other, right? Bury bodies, hide their trails…all that good stuff.”
“What about the second one?”
“We’re turning 30 soon,” he recounted. Any and all traces of cockiness were completely wiped off his face. “And we said that if we’re both still single by the time our 30th birthdays roll around, we’d get married.”
You smiled as you revisited the memory: wide-eyed and curious, and so blissfully unaware with the only worry in the world was whether you’d grow up together or not. “You still remembered all that?”
“Of course I did. You still in, or what?”
“I guess so…I mean, what else do I have to lose?”
The two of you fall back into your comfortable silence, and he wraps you up into his arms.
TWO YEARS LATER
As usual, the base is busy and rather chaotic: day after day you’re busy filing reports and training. This causes you to become prone to forgetting the littler things in your life, so you assign Bob to keep track of them for you. He had the best memory of anyone you knew—that man kept mental notes of everything.
“What do I have to do today, Floyd? Any events…”
“Uhhh…” Bob thought for a moment as you took a long drink of water. “Dinner with Phoenix. Do laundry. Don’t get yelled at by Cyclone for the 19th time (You’re only one point behind Bradshaw, he’s at 20). Grocery shopping. And most importantly…yours’ and Hangman’s birthday.”
“Oh, shit, I completely forgot,” you swore under your breath. “How could I forget…”
“You have some time, so don’t worry. Five days.”
“Only five days?” your eyes widened. “I have to run through four more simulations over the next two. I can’t plan everything in the remaining three.”
“If you pay Garcia in Doordash deliveries, he’ll help out. You know he minored in art.”
“That’s…actually not a bad idea.”
After you finish your final exercise that week, you pass out, but luckily, Hangman’s right there to catch you so you don’t get a concussion. Bless that man—he always seemed to be around wherever you went and you were very grateful for it.
You were delirious and couldn’t walk straight, so as much as you claimed you were okay, he wouldn’t believe you.
“I’m taking you home because you’re in no condition to be wandering around by yourself. The birthday planning can wait. You’ve tired yourself out enough as it is and you don’t want to make things worse.” So you let him help you get into his car, then drive you home and lead you inside. Then, he forced you to go upstairs to take a hot shower and relax while he cooked up dinner for you.
Though Hangman admired your determined spirit, it scared the hell out of him because you wouldn’t know when to stop yourself.
“I got that from you though! Who’s the one I spend the most time around?” you’d claim in response to that argument. You weren’t wrong—it was a quality you picked up from him many years ago.
You woke up the next morning to the smell of French toast and jam, which lessens the tension in your shoulders right away. Amidst the early morning light drifting through the windows he stands out like a priceless work of art in a museum. You struggle to tear your eyes off him.
Rubbing the sleepiness from your eyes, you rested your chin on his shoulder and exhaled. “Hey.”
“Morning. You sleep okay? How’s that headache of yours?”
“I’m alright.” You closed your eyes and inhaled the sweet scent of cinnamon sugar. “This smells nice.”
If Hangman was tired, you couldn’t tell. “Woke up at 6:30 to relearn the recipe for you. It’s been a while, it took three burnt batches to get the hang of things.”
“You woke up an hour early to cook for me?”
“Why else? Of course I did,” he stated matter-of-factly.
You sat down at the kitchen island together and ate your breakfast in silence. Something about this moment feels more domestic than all the others you’ve shared in the past, and you can’t help but smile. You wouldn’t mind spending the rest of eternity like this...
“Y/N, there’s some honey on your chin.”
You blinked, trying to find it. “Where?”
“Hold on a sec.” Hangman took his napkin and rubbed gently at the corner of your lip to wipe it off. For a brief moment, you could feel his warm breath fanning across your face. You stayed as still as possible. “There.”
If anyone looked in from the outside, it was another simple day in the life of a longtime couple. But for you and Jake, it’s always been like this. Showing up at each others’ place wasn’t unusual for either of you; if anything, it was quite normal.
“...Thanks.”
“Yeah. You got any ideas in mind? For the big day.”
“Whatever you want is what I want.”
“Funny enough, that’s what I was about to tell you,” he replied.”
You locked eyes with each other and laughed. “We’ll figure it out. I’m sure we will.”
Less than three days until everything as you knew it would change forever...if you were being honest, you were absolutely terrified. What if he changed his mind and left you in the dust, all alone? You weren’t ready to face the cold truth.
Hangman offered a simple celebration: food and drinks at the Hard Deck with the crew, then some karaoke if you were up for it after. He starts it off by serenading you at the bar, reaching a hand out to you as he sang your favorite Billy Joel track. You let him lead you out to the dance floor and spin you around, and he’s equal parts addicting as he is entertaining.
Thirty candles, and you agree on blowing out fifteen each—somehow, by some miracle, you manage to do exactly that, and it’s perfect. Then Fanboy yells that he and Rooster want a rematch with you in Just Dance…so you go at it for two hours straight, until sweat is dripping down your face and your sweater grows hot.
You’re burnt out, and he can see the look in your eyes as you step aside to let Phoenix play. “You want to head out? There’s something I want to show you.”
You nod. “Okay.”
He gives Maverick a look, and the captain shoots him a subtle nod in return. He takes this as his signal to put his hand on the small of your back and lead you out the door.
You can’t help but laugh a little as you get outside. “Is this Mav’s motorcycle?”
“No…” Hangman shifts from foot to foot, feigning cluelessness.
“Did you steal it?”
“Of course not.”
“It’s his, isn’t it.”
“Look, he let me borrow it for the night. It’s not stealing if he says it’s okay…besides, he never noticed when I did steal from him last week—”
“What did you—do you even have a motorcycle license?”
“Got it a year ago. I thought, ‘maybe I’ll take my best girl on a ride someday, so who knows if it’ll come in handy’. So here we are now.”
“That’s very sweet.”
“Alright, now come on.” He swung his leg over the side and motioned for you to sit behind him. The cushion was not in fact, cushiony, and you found yourself growing colder by the second.
The bike burst forward without warning. You let out a small yelp and immediately wrapped your arms around Hangman’s waist—which was ridiculously firm…had he been working out more lately?—as you went speeding down the road.
“If I die, I’m gonna kill you and haunt you in your sleep,” you mumbled into the fabric of his jacket. “Even in death, I’ll stick to you always.”
“That sounds both morbid and weirdly romantic.”
“Shut up.”
Several minutes later you found yourselves by the cliffs, standing high over the ocean, and deja vu hits almost right away. After we go on this make up date, he had said, I’m going to find that guy who messed you up and mess him up. Then we’re going to go home, I’ll let you wear any of my sweatshirts you want, and we’ll watch true crime. One where someone like that jerk dies. Okay? Okay.
You’re miles away from Top Gun, miles away from your jet and your uniform and everything you’ve ever known, but you’ve never felt more at home than now. It’s in this moment in which you realize all you really need in the world is Jake, the sky above you, and the sea below you.
Out of the corner of your eye you noticed that he’s getting fidgety. He can’t stop stuffing his hands in and out of his pockets or running them through his hair—he’s restless. The action takes you by surprise a bit.
“Why are you all tensed up?” you questioned. “It’s just me and a nice sunset. We’ve done things like this many times.”
“But it’s not just you and a sunset,” he explained. “I’m supposed to be asking you the most important question of our lives. That’s a big deal, sweetheart.”
Your heart spluttered to a stop. “Are you…”
“Let me finish,” Jake cut in. “If you could be quiet for a few minutes…that would help. I’m nervous.”
“Jake Seresin, nervous?” you teased. “That’s a first.”
He smiled and shook his head. “Give me a break.”
“Okay, okay. I’ll be nice…for now.”
“I haven’t slept at all in the past week. I went to eleven different jewelry stores around San Diego but nothing seemed to scream ‘Y/N’. So, I decided to take a trip out of state.” He cleared his throat, and reached into his jacket pocket. You saw his hand shake as he did so. “Out of the country. That mini mission I went on while you were training? I was in Canada. Victoria, to be specific. Maverick and Rooster came along to help out.”
Now in his hand was a small velvet box, and inside was the most breathtaking ring you’d ever seen. “Diamond and ruby. They don’t sell plain red strings for rings…so I had them design this. The red thread of fate…the one that brought you into my life. We were kids when we promised to spend our lives together, if circumstances permitted. And I know we might’ve been young, but I’d be lying if I said I could imagine myself with someone that wasn’t you. There was a part of me that wished you wouldn’t find anyone before this day came along. It’s you, Y/N. It always has been.
“I’m not going to get down on one knee. I’m not going to give you a long, cheesy speech about divine power and soulmates. But I’m going to tell you this: you’re my forever, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. It’s getting cold out so I’ll cut to the chase: what I’m saying here is that I’m asking you to marry me.”
The world fell silent as you replied with a shaky nod, holding out a trembling hand as Jake slid the golden band onto your ring finger. Neither of you made a sound, and you swore you felt time stop and the ground crack wide open beneath your feet.

Experimenting || Leah Williamson x reader
Based on this request here.
Warning smut 18+, cunnilingus, fingering
Summary You and Leah are both curious, what happens when friendship and curiosity mixes?
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
“I’m glad you made me come out tonight, thank you.” You shouted to your best friend, leah, over the music.
“It’s my job to make you come out, we both know that.” Leah winked, sending a playful smirk.
Leah was right, you were always the shy one, the one that hated nights out but Leah was the one that knew you secretly had lots of fun when you did, hence why it was her job to get you out.
Leah especially knew you needed to get out tonight. You’d just broken up with your boyfriend.
“Have I taken your mind off him?” Leah said, her voice full of anger as she said the final word.
“Definitely.” You smiled, before taking a breath. You didn’t know wether it was the alcohol or just the thought of how good Leah looked but you decided to tell her the real reason why you broke up, having slightly changed the story around when you told her. “Le, I never broke up with Alex because of the argument. He broke up with me because he thought I loved you, in a way more than friends. And now, I’m wondering if that’s true or not. I don’t know how I feel. I’m so so confused. I like you I think, more than a friend, but I don’t know if I’m…”
“Kiss me.” Leah cut you off, a smug look on her face. “Kiss me. I’m in the same situation. If we try it on each other, we’ll get our answers.”
Leah had a really good point. What’s the harm of kissing your best friend? It’s not like you’ll end up sleeping together. It’s just a kiss.
It’s not like you’ll end up sleeping together
That was your exact thought but boy, were you wrong.
It certainly didn’t look that way when Leah had you pushed against the bathroom counter of the club just ten minutes after the original thought.
Your lips hadn’t left each other, the two of you experimenting with what the two of you liked.
“Le…” you panted as she dropped to her knees in front of you.
Leah unbuttoned your jeans, pulling them down your legs to reveal your panties.
“Are you sure you want this?” Leah asked, looking back up at you.
“Yes.” You said, nodding your head desperately.
Leah pushed your panties to the side, her tongue diving in.
She licked at your clit before tongue fucking your pussy.
You gripped the basin, your eyes screwed shut.
You looked down to see Leah’s hand gripping your thigh, the veins in her arms popping out, her biceps flexing.
You moaned at the sight, the pleasure coursing through you playing a major factor.
“Fuck Leah.” You moaned, feeling Leah messily eat you out.
“Taste so good, baby.” Leah mumbled, the vibrations causing your legs to shake.
Leah sucked at your clit as she brought her fingers up to your folds.
She started trusting her fingers in and out at a steady pace, adding to the pleasure.
With Leah fingering you and eating you out, you were so close.
“Le, ‘m gonna cum. Please done stop — oh god — I’m coming!”
Your pussy tightened around Leah’s fingers as you came, your legs squeezing around Leah’s head.
She let you ride out your orgasm before standing back up, bringing you in for a heated kiss.
You moaned into the kiss, tasting yourself of her tongue.
“Wow. I wasn’t expecting that to happen tonight.” You said, looking at Leah who nodded with a smile.
“Neither did I, but I’m glad it happened.”
“Me too.” You agreed
“Let me take you on a date this weekend, please.”
“I’d love to.”

THIS HOTEL ROOM.
jayce talis x f!reader
word count: 2.7k summary: do you usually invite strangers into your room? masterlist | taglist | wips
18+ MDNI. set in modern 1970, alcohol consumption, kissing, reader wears a floor length dress, porn with barely any plot, oral (r!receiving), fingering, teasing, jayce’s big dick idk, use of a condom, protected sex, one night stand. based on ‘hotel’ by motell fish.
a/n: ya’ll wouldn’t give to to me so i had to write it myself. and when i tell you, i had to fight every urge to not make this the kinkiest shit known to mankind. ugh. this got my pussy throbbing so hard you don’t even understand how much i need this man… i’d take him anywhere atp, on the couch, on the bed, in the bathroom, in a car, on the motherfuckking floor, PLEASEEEE
the hotel bar was quiet, save for the low hum of jazz filtering through the speakers and the the hotel bar was quiet, save for the low hum of jazz filtering through the speakers and the occasional clink of glassware. it was late, well past midnight, and most of the other patrons had either retired for the night or drank themselves into oblivion. you sat at the counter, nursing a glass of wine, your gaze lazily tracing the patterns of condensation on the glass.
it was late—too late, really—and you don’t know what drew you here tonight. restlessness, maybe, or just the need to be anywhere but your own room.
that’s when you noticed him.
the man was hard to miss. he sat a few stools down from you. tall, dark, handsome. his suit was clearly expensive and tailored to his form, the tie now loosened and the top buttons undone showing a tantalizing amount of skin. his dark hair was tousled, as if he’d recently run a hand through it. he looked like he didn’t quite belong in a place like this, like his world was one of brighter lights and bigger crowds.
you looked away quickly, pretending to focus on the drink in your hand, but it was no use. he had already caught you looking.
“mind if i join you?” he asked, nodding toward the empty stool beside you. his voice was smooth, rich, and strangely disarming.
“guess i don’t have a reason to say no.” you said, flashing him a polite smile as he sat down, signaling to the bartender for a drink.
the silence between you lasts only a moment before he turns to you, a faint smile playing on his lips. “wine this late at night?” he asked, his voice smooth and warm, tinged with a curiosity that didn’t feel forced. “must’ve been a long day.”
you huff a quiet laugh, lifting your glass slightly. “something like that. and you? whiskey at this hour—celebration or consolation?”
his lips quirk into a smirk as he slides onto the stool beside you. “neither. just… unwinding after work,”
it’s the way he says it—casual, like he’s opening the door to the conversation but not pushing too hard. enough to get you curious, but not desperate for an answer.
“what do you do?” you ask, leaning into the banter without realizing it.
he tilts his head, a playful glint in his hazel eyes. “guess.”
you study him, taking in the expensive cut of his suit, the faint smudge of ink on his thumb, the way he carried himself like someone used to making decisions that mattered.
“finance?” you guess, trying to sound confident.
“close,” he says, his smirk growing. “I’m a scientist.”
“really?” you lean in a little, the intrigue creeping in. “what kind of science?”
“hextech,” he says, almost watching your reaction, gauging it. “i work on energy solutions, tech development… mostly things that could change how piltover and zaun interact.”
you blink, a faint recognition flickering across your face at the mention of hextech. “hextech? that’s… pretty impressive,” you say, swirling your wine absentmindedly.
he notices the shift in your expression but doesn’t call you out on it—yet.
“i wouldn’t say that,” he said humbly, his voice almost teasing, as if he knew the effect his profession had on people. “i’m not saving lives or anything.”
you shake your head, a smile tugging at the corners of your lips. “still, you must be good at what you do,” you say, tilting your head slightly. “hextech isn’t exactly something anyone can just dabble in. bet it pays well too.”
he laughs, deep and rich, a sound that settles in your chest. he leans in closer, his knee brushing yours under the counter, and you feel the shift in the air, the tension crawling up your spine. “is that why you’ve been giving me looks all night? trying to figure out if i’m worth taking home?” his voice drops just enough to suggest he knows exactly what you’re thinking.
“oh, i think you’re forgetting,” a small smile tugs at your lips. ”you’re the one that came to me.”
he laughed, a low, rich sound that sent a jolt of heat through you. “touché,” he said, raising his glass to toast you, his eyes never leaving yours.
“you still haven’t answered my question though.” he leans even closer, the scent of his cologne enveloping you. “do i meet your…. criteria?”
you place your empty glass on the counter slowly, making sure he watches the motion, his eyes tracing your every move. when you speak again, your voice is quiet, but deliberate. “i suppose you’re… good enough.”
his grin widens, and he reaches out, his finger trailing along the back of your hand, sending a shiver up your arm. “good enough?” he repeats, his voice a low purr. “well, i think i can do better than that,” he says, standing up and offering you his hand.
“how about one more drink,” he suggests, his tone light now, but there’s an edge to it. “but upstairs? my room’s got a great view of the city.”
you hesitate for a moment, the weight of his words lingering, but his gaze is steady, patient, almost expectant.
“do you usually invite strangers into your room?”
“only the ones i find interesting,” he murmurs, his voice barely above a whisper.
“good,” you reply, stepping closer, a smirk tugging at your lips. “i’d hate to be predictable.”
the moment the door clicks shut, he's on you, his lips finding yours in a kiss that leaves no doubt about his intentions. a cautious hand comes up to cradle the back of your head, fingers tangling in your hair as he deepens the kiss.
he kisses you with desperation that didn't leave time for hesitation, but you'll gladly take him like this — rushed and frantic, the fabric of his dress pants suddenly feeling thin and inadequate against his aching cock.
he breaks the kiss momentarily to trail his lips down your jawline and onto your neck, sucking and nipping at the sensitive skin.
his gaze devours your form, taking in every inch of you, and you felt like a specimen under a microscope, utterly exposed and deliciously vulnerable.
"christ, you smell amazing," he groans, his breath hot against your ear. "like fucking heaven.”
he barely manages to kick off his dress shoes and peel off his suit vest before he's got you half-dragged, half-carried to the bed, barely breaking stride before you tumble backwards onto the sheets in a flurry of limbs. the rough fabric of his tie tickles your palms as you fumble to untangle it, tugging on the loose knot to free it from around his neck.
his hands find the zipper at the back of your dress, slowly tugging it down to reveal more of your skin. the fabric parts easily, revealing the lacy edges of your bra and the smooth, pale skin of your stomach. the dress pools around your feet, the last remnants of your modesty suddenly stripped away.
he palms your breast through the sheer material, thumbing over the peaked nipples.
"god, look at you," he murmurs, touch feather-light, almost reverent, as if he can't believe his luck.
your hips arch into his touch instinctively, seeking more of that delicious friction. he takes the hint, sinking to his knees as hand drifts lower to rest on your stomach, fingers splayed wide.
his mouth follows the curve of your inner thigh, slow, languid kisses trailing up from your knees to the apex of your legs.
he hooks his fingers in the waistband of your underwear, pausing briefly to look up at you with dark, hungry eyes. "lift your hips," he prompts, his voice muffled against your thighs.
as you comply, arching your back to help him shimmy the flimsy lace down your legs, he tosses your underwear aside like it's on fire. you can feel the anticipation building, and your breath comes in a short gasp as he spreads your legs wider.
he licks a slow, deliberate stripe up the length of your slit, that barely grazes you before retreating. you let out a high, keening moan, pushing his head deeper down, your hands curling into his hair.
“please,” you breathe, your hips rolling against him, craving more contact.
he does it again, a little harder this time. he tastes you deeply, your pink, aching flesh, drinking in every essence you could possibly offer, before finally sinking in to claim you in earnest.
his lips and tongue are a blur of sensation against your cunt, teasing and tormenting until you're writhing beneath him, begging for more. greedy thing, you are. he obliges, of course, his fingers deep, curling inside you to stroke that spongy spot inside you that makes your vision blur.
you're a mess of needy moans and broken gasps, your thighs trembling around his ears, your fingers clawing at the sheets. he takes you right to the edge, then pulls back, leaving you aching and desperate.
your head immediately snaps up, brows furrowed in disbelief, trying to process the sudden withdrawal. “y-you—“ you splutter, half-gasping for breath. you watch him straighten up, with that infuriating, cocky smirk playing on his lips. “you can't just—”
"i think i can do whatever i damn well please,” he smirks as if he's done you a favor. his hands come up to frame your face, thumbs brushing your cheeks as he leans in to steal another quick kiss, swallowing your protests. "wanted to see the look on your face," and as you shoot him an incredulous look, a self-satisfied chuckle leaves his lips.
"fuck you," you manage to bite out, despite the traitorous quiver in your voice. there's no heat behind your words, only a kind of breathless awe.
"i'm working on it.” he coos against your mouth.
he unzips his pants before you will yourself to speak again, his cock is long and thick and flushed an angry red, bobbing against his stomach as he kicks the fabric away. it’s practically jutting out, twitching with every ragged breath he takes. you can see the vein pulsing along its length, and a drop of pre-cum glistens on the tip. he's big, and you're suddenly consumed with the desperate need to wrap your lips around him, to taste his desire, to show him how much you want him inside you.
he reaches for the nightstand drawer, rummaging around until he pulls out a foil packet. he tears it open with his teeth and rolls the latex over the length of him in a fluid motion. then, he's on you again, his hips settling between your spread thighs as he positions the head of his cock at your entrance.
he doesn't pause, not even for a second, to give you time to process the impending intrusion or to beg for mercy.
you feel him stretch you wide, the blunt head of his cock kissing your cervix. he fills you so completely, so utterly, that you can only lay there, gasping, your vision blurry, mouth left agape.
“fuck," he groans, head thrown back, hips jerking shallowly as if trying to bury himself deeper, his heavy balls slapping against your ass. your fingers dig into his biceps as you try to adjust to the sudden, intense fullness stretching your cunt.
he starts to move, slow at first, withdrawing nearly all the way before slamming back in, over and over and over again.
he takes you relentlessly, the slap of skin against skin the only soundtrack in the quiet of your hotel room. the bed creaks beneath you with each brutal thrust as he drives all the air from your lungs and leaves you utterly gasping.
every thrust seems to drill one of his own ragged gasps into your ear, the words lost but the emotion, urgency, conveyed perfectly as if he's trying to burn the sound of your suffering into memory. your nails score lines down his back as he fucks into you without mercy, each new impact rocking you to your very core, and every nerve end screams at once to be relieved.
the feeling of your cunt sucking down on him, practically trying to rip his dick off is driving his brain to insanity. but the sight of your eyes fluttering shut, your delicate features scrunched up, and the sweet little moans that escape you... it's enough to make a saint curse the heavens.
he snags your lip with his thumb, tugging you into a messy kiss. saliva streams down your chin as he fucks you with everything he has, and you're utterly defenseless against the onslaught of sensation, your hips bucking up to meet his with abandon.
“fuck, i’m... i’m going to—" but the words die on his lips as he buries himself to the hilt one final time, holding perfectly still, buried balls-deep inside you. thank god he’s wearing a condom, because he would not be able to pull out.
he groans low, long, and throaty as he spills his load into the condom, the sound muffled against your mouth. the heat of him fills you, then slowly starts to ebb as his orgasm recedes.
he stays buried deep for a moment longer before slowly pulling out, allowing your abused walls to clutch at the empty air. you’re left feeling bare, a boneless heap sprawled on the sheets. you feel the sticky residue of his cum cling to your skin as he discards the used condom.
he flops onto his back beside you, one arm draped across your middle as if to keep you close, and you feel a sense of lazy contentment wash over you despite the residual ache between your thighs. you can hear the heavy thud of his heartbeat, feel the warmth of his skin against yours. it's peaceful, in a strange sort of way.
his hand drags languidly through your tangled hair, and he looks at you, eyes half-lidded, a small, pleased smile lingering on his lips. the soft, silken locks feel like satin beneath his touch, a stark contrast to the rough, calloused pads of his fingertips.
“was that… ‘good enough’ for you?” his hand trails through your hair, fingers splaying against your scalp as if to hold you in place.
you swipe at his chest with a careless hand, more of a petulant tap really, but he still grunts in mock pain. “ouch!,” he feigns outrage, clutching at his chest as if wounded.
“asshole,”
he's laughing before you can even get the words out, the rich, deep sound filling the room and seeming to tickle your spine. he shifts to spoon against you, his thigh slipping between your legs as he wraps an arm around you, tugging you back against him
his fingers splay across your belly, tracing idle patterns as he speaks. the room feels impossibly warm, and you find yourself wishing he'd turn off the heating or open a window, but in that moment, all you care about is the solid warmth of him pressed against your back, and the weight of his arms around you.
"we should probably get some sleep," he murmurs after a while, his voice a low rumble against your ear. "i have an early meeting tomorrow." you nod against his chest, not really registering his words.
sleep is the last thing on your mind, but you're not sure if it's because of the adrenaline still coursing through your veins or because you don't want this moment to end.
“you know,” you begin, and he hums, a vibration you feel more than you hear, “i don’t think i ever got your name.”
he stills behind you, the sudden quiet palpable as he absorbs your words. his lips press a fleeting kiss against the pulse point on your neck,
“jayce.”

AN: Source for tarot reading
Transcript under the cut
Morgan: Ever done this before?
Nancy: Can’t say that I have.
Morgan: Are you as put off about this as that other bible thumper?
Nancy: [rolls eyes] We’re not all the same. I’m more than my faith.
Morgan: I don’t doubt that. I’m sure there’s many layers to you. Where are you from?
Nancy: Brindleton Bay.
Morgan: Really, I’m from Portridge, a small town south of the Bay. Originally.
Nancy: Yeah? So, how did you end up a Fyres?
Morgan: Great question. My mom was his secretary. Super scandalous shit, which would explain while the Royal Barbie hates my guts. He’s not a bad step dad though. Hell of lot better than my actual dad. So, your parents-
Nancy: Isn’t the probing developing a bias or something?
Morgan: Just a little small talk. So, is there a question you want answered? Perhaps, a question about your past, your present or your future?
Nancy: I-
Nancy Narrates: [I want to get forget my past. I want to survive my present. I want to escape my future. Could there really be an answer for all that in those cards]
Nancy: I don’t know...
Morgan: That’s ok. You intention will guide us.
Morgan: Pick three cards that call to you. Based on the three, we will see what the cards have to say about your past, present and future.
Nancy: And you believe in this?
Morgan: We believe what we believe in, right? You have your three?
Nancy: I think so..
Morgan: Let’s take a look.
Morgan: Your past—the Upright Fool. Innocence. Curorsity. Something new and exciting—perhaps a first love in your youth that swept you off your feet?
Nancy Narrates: [Already I hated this...]
Morgan: Your present- the Reversed Star. Insecurity. Self doubt. A loss of faith. Interesting. Perhaps a struggle with one’s own faith? Are you having any doubts, Nancy? About yourself? About your God?
Morgan: Your future- the Upright Devil. Lust. Obsession. Temptation. Could be for the material things of life, or maybe a desire of the flesh.
Nancy: [clears throat] That all seems incredibly vague.
Morgan: [grins] Does it? Your poker face could use some work. Let me ask you something. Who exactly did I remind you of? Someone from your past?
Morgan: Your silence is very telling. I have a real gift for reading people.
Nancy: I’m sure you believe you do.
Morgan: [laughs] I really do!
Morgan: Tightly wound, fidgeter. You bite the hell out of your nails, right at the skin on the tips of your fingers, unconsciously. You pick at it until it bleeds. It’s the only thing that’s keeping you tethered to your own body. The pain, that is.
Morgan: Right?
Geoffrey: You made it! And making friends! Sorry, am I interrupting girl talk?
Morgan: It’s cool, boy wonder. Want me to do your reading?
Geoffrey: Are you kidding? Of course I do!
Nancy: Actually, I think I want to g-
Geoffrey: Really quick, Nance, then I’ll walk you to your dorm!
Geoffrey: Upright Death for my future sounds kind of scary when you think about it, huh? She said it could mean profound change. Sounds promising.
Nancy: [tsks] That could mean literally anything. That whole practice strives on vagueness. You can never be wrong if you’re bound to be right.
Geoffrey: Yeah, but it’s about how you perceive it, right? It’s unique. She did yours, didn’t she? What did yours say?
Nancy: Yeah, I um, don’t remember.
Geoffrey: Maybe you can ask her again. You two seem to hit it off.
Nancy: [huffs] Please. I am not going back to that shabby bar. She’s a sham. Those cards mean nothing. It’s stupid.
Geoffrey: [sighs]
Nancy: What?
Geoffrey: [blows raspberries]
Nancy Narrates: [Truth was, I was more curious than anything]
Nancy: So. Those cards. Could they...I don’t know- tell me something that could happen in a week? Like if I asked if I’ll pass my Statistics exam?
Nancy Narrates: [I was completely captivated by this otherworldly experience, whether I’d admit it outloud or not]
Nancy Narrates: [and Morgan was always happy to indulge me]
Nancy: [whispers] So I past my exam. How does this even work? I mean, how could they know? The cards. Could you do another reading after the debate?
Nancy Narrates: [But of all the questions I did ask, there was one that burned inside me more]
[heavy metal spills into the hallway]
Morgan: [startled] Nancy?
Nancy: Is this a bad time? I know it’s late...I can come back another time. I just have so much on my mind and I can’t sleep.
Morgan: You want another reading?
Nancy: Is that ok?
Morgan: Of course it is, Nancy. Come in.
Morgan: Sorry for all the smoke. I can open a window.
Knox: Babe, who’s this? It’s not my birthday.
Morgan: [smirks] Want me to get rid of him? I can.
Knox: Hey! I’ll be quiet! Won’t even know I’m here.
Nancy: I don’t mind. I just had a question.
Nancy: Could you do a reading for someone else, even if they’re not here?
Morgan: [hums] Not really...not without their permission or their intention. Who is this person to you?
Nancy: [looks away] Someone from my past. Someone I need to forget but- I can’t.
Morgan: Did this person hurt you?
Nancy: [shakes head] If anything, I hurt them. I ruined them with my... [lowly] um, perversions. I just need to know if they’re ok. If they hate me for it.
Morgan: [softly] I see... Here’s what we’ll do. Just like before, I’ll do a three card spread.
Morgan: Set your intention. Clear your mind. Ask your question. The first card is ‘you’. The middle card is ‘them’. The third card is the relationship.
Nancy Narrates: [‘Vanessa, do you hate me?’ ‘Do you blame me?’ ‘Do you regret loving me?’ ‘Do you know that I never stopped loving you?’]
Nancy Narrates: [‘Do you know that I’m sorry?’ ‘Do you know that I miss you?’ ‘Do you know that I need you?’]
Morgan: [exhales] It says... that you are a filled with love, Nancy, even though the world around you wants to drain you of it. There’s just too much of it inside of you and your friend-
Nancy: [weakly] Vanessa.
Morgan: [smiles] Vanessa. She loves you all the same. She may be experiencing her own hurt in this world, but having loved you keeps her strong. You two brought something bright and beautiful into each other’s lives.
Morgan: You can’t rid her from your life, because she’s apart of you, and...I- I think that’s a love worth fighting for, Nancy.
Nancy: [between gulps] Right. Right, thank you. Thanks, Morgan.
Morgan: Wait, Nancy, you don’t have to leave. It’s ok-
Nancy: It’s fine. I uh- I should go.
[door clicks shut]
Knox: Uhh, did you just make all that up?
Morgan: [weakly] I don’t know why I did that..

commercial
alessia russo x actress!reader (requested)
summary: pairing up with a footballer for a commercial changed your life
based off of the adidas commercial she was featured in before the women's world cup in 2023
you never thought filming a commercial would bring you to london.
being an actress with a hit hbo series and a partnership with adidas kept you busy, traveling constantly between coasts, countries, and continents.
this job felt different. you’d always admired women’s sports, so when your agent called you with the news that adidas wanted you for their new campaign promoting the women's world cup, it felt like an honor.
empowering women, celebrating athletes—it was something you could get behind since its what you cared about. you said yes without a second thought.
now, with a plane ticket in hand, you were ready to make it happen.
the moment you step off the plane at heathrow, london’s summer breeze hits you—crisp, slightly cool, and carrying the scent of rain and freshly brewed coffee. your driver, an older man with a kind smile, helps load your bags, and you’re soon winding your way through the city streets.
as you look out the car window, everything feels vibrant and alive. red double-decker buses whizz by, people spill out of cafes, and there's a constant hum in the air.
despite being a little jet-lagged, you’re excited—more excited than you've been for a job in a long time.
the next morning, you arrive on set for the commercial shoot, and it’s a whirlwind of motion—producers barking orders, cameras being set up, and the smell of fragrancelingering in the air.
a production assistant greets you almost the second you step out of your car, a polite smile on their face, speaking rapidly into their headset.
"y/n, so glad you could make it! we’re just about to start introducing everyone. can i take you to meet the other talents– the footballers i shall say?”
you nod, straightening your posture and reminding yourself to relax.
just another job, just another set. yet the excitement buzzing in the air makes your nerves tingle. the assistant leads you toward the back of the set, where a few women stand, laughing easily with one another.
you recognize them immediately.. lena oberdorf, mary fowler, and alessia russo. you’d seen their photos in the media. never having enough time to watch ninety minutes of football, you still knew how good they were.
lena is first to notice you.
“y/n!! you’re kidding?!!” she says to mary with a friendly smile, sticking her hand out. “nice to meet you.”
you shake her hand, grinning. “nice to meet you too. i’m a big fan of your game.”
“and i am a big fan of yours!!” lena says, seeming genuinely pleased. “looking forward to working with you today. the concept seems fun.”
mary and alessia both chime in their greetings.
there’s a moment of small talk as you chat about the campaign, the concept, and the filming schedule. but as you exchange introductions, your eyes keep drifting back to alessia.
there’s something about her that draws you in—something in the way she carries herself, confident yet laid-back, with a gaze that's intense but kind. and when her eyes meet yours, you swear you see a flash of something else, something that makes your heart skip.
“so, you’re an actress..” alessia says finding small talk, leaning in a little closer. her voice has a certain lilt to it. warm, curious.
“yeah,” you reply, trying to keep your voice steady,
“i’ve been working in television for a while, but this is my second sports commercial.”
“oh, really?” alessia tilts her head, her blonde hair falling to the side as she studies you.
“guess we’re both kind of stepping into each other’s worlds for this one. i’ve never done a commercial myself unless it was for arsenal.”
“well, from what i’ve heard, you’ll be great,” you say, and it’s not just a compliment. you mean it.
you’ve heard from your assistant about alessia playing for the england national team. she must be amazing.
alessia chuckles softly, and you catch the way her eyes sparkle, like she's genuinely enjoying the conversation.
“we’ll see,” she says, that easy confidence still there but with a playful glint.
“just don’t laugh at me if i mess up my lines.”
you shake your head, laughing. “only if you promise not to laugh at me trying to dribble a football.”
“deal,” alessia says, flashing you a grin that makes you wonder just how often she uses that smile to get what she wants.
there’s something magnetic about her, and as much as you try to focus on the task at hand, your mind keeps circling back to her.
soon, it’s time to start filming, and the director calls everyone to their positions. the first scene you're shooting together is a lighthearted setup in a grocery store, meant to highlight how sports are part of everyday life.
you and alessia are supposed to be casually shopping, pretending to pick out items until a boy accidentally passes a football to alessia, who starts dribbling the ball fantastically.
the idea is to show how these footballers are stars both on and off the pitch—effortlessly cool, effortlessly themselves.
you’re on the camera for the attention, the familiarity of many people seeing one of their favorite actresses on screen.
as the cameras roll, you find yourself struggling to stay in character—not because you're nervous, but because you're genuinely awestruck.
alessia makes it all look so easy. she maneuvers the ball around her feet effortlessly, as if it’s a natural extension of her body, and at one point, she jumps up and crosses her legs to move the ball up in a seamless move.
the crew claps and cheers after the director says cut, and you have to remind yourself to look casual, to pretend like this is something you see every day.
"you okay there?" alessia whispers when you find yourself staring for a second too long.
"yeah, totally," you reply, trying to play it off. "just, you know, impressed. you're kind of amazing."
“kind of?” she teases, raising an eyebrow. “i’ll take that, i guess.”
you both laugh, and the rest of the shoot continues with an easy flow.
the chemistry between you translates on camera, and the director nods approvingly after each take.
by the time you wrap for the day, you're already regretting that it has to end so soon.
as everyone’s packing up, alessia walks over to you, her expression a mix of mischief and curiosity.
“hey, i know you’re busy with your job but... do you have any plans while you're here in london?”
“not really,” you say, glancing down as you fidget with your hands.
“i have some interviews coming up in new york soon, but other than that, i’m kind of free.”
“oh,” she says, her voice light but her eyes steady on yours.
“how about we grab dinner tonight? there’s this great italian spot not too far from here—i thought it might be nice to hang out without all of the chaos.”
you don’t even have to think about it. “yeah, i’d like that a lot.”
later that evening, alessia takes you to a cozy restaurant tucked away in a quiet corner of london.
it’s intimate, dimly lit, with exposed brick walls and a menu that makes your mouth water the second you open it. the conversation flows easily—surprisingly easily—and you talk about everything from football and acting to travel, family, and your favorite shows outside of the ones you’ve been in.
it feels like you’ve known each other for longer than a day.
“so, you travel a lot for work,” alessia says at one point, sipping on her lemon water.
“ever get tired of it?”
“sometimes,” you admit.
“but it’s also kind of amazing. i mean, many people would do anything for the opportunities that i’ve been given—like getting to meet people like you for example.”
alessia laughs softly, shaking her head. “you’re flattering me.”
“maybe,” you say with a playful smile, “but it’s the truth.”
alessia leans back in her chair, and there’s a look in her eyes you can't quite place—somewhere between admiration and something deeper, something that makes your stomach flip.
“you know, you’re not what i expected,” she says, voice gentle but sincere.
“what do you mean?” you ask, genuinely curious.
“i don’t know, someone... a little more hollywood, i guess?” she shrugs.
“i get it. luckily i’m not from hollywood, i am from new york.” you smile.
“that’s nice to hear.” alessia giggles.
the conversation continues late into the night, and by the time you both walk out into the cool london air, you’re standing a little closer than necessary, arms brushing as you make your way down the street.
she walks you back to your hotel, and when you say goodnight, there’s a moment—a heartbeat of silence—where you both just look at each other, and you feel it.
something more than just a bond that was formed in one night.
“goodnight, y/n,” she says softly, lingering for just a second before turning to leave.
“goodnight, alessia,” you reply, watching her walk away, already replaying the night in your head.
the next few days fly by in a blur of filming and hanging out with alessia whenever you can.
you text constantly, even when you're both too busy. a couple of weeks later you’re in new york city with castmates on your show– and alessia is with arsenal finishing the season.
she sends quick messages between training, silly selfies with her teammates, and voice notes that make you smile every time you listen to them.
it’s not long before you’re both sharing pieces of yourselves you don’t usually let others see.
when alessia heads off to the women's world cup with england, you don’t expect to miss her as much as you do.
you haven’t seen her since that night in london. her messages get shorter, more sporadic as the competition heats up, and while you understand—she’s busy, focused—you can’t help but wish you were there to cheer her on in person.
and then, one day, you get a text from her:
wish you could be here. can't wait to see you soon!
your heart skips a beat, and without thinking, you open your laptop, check your schedule, and find a two-week window.
before you can second-guess yourself, you’re booking a flight to australia.
when you finally arrive in australia, the world cup is in full swing.
the streets are filled with fans, the excitement is in the air, and you find yourself caught up in the energy.
on the day of the final, you’re practically buzzing with nerves and anticipation. you dragged one of your castmates to come with you across the globe, just to see alessia live.
you find your seat, your heart pounding as you look out over the pitch.
when alessia takes the field, you can’t stop grinning. you cheer loudly, the sound almost getting lost in the roar of the crowd, but you know she hears you—somehow, you just know.
the match is intense, every pass and tackle pulling you deeper in. but as the final whistle blows, it’s spain who takes the victory, and the stadium is filled with a mix of cheers and groans.
your heart sinks as you watch alessia’s face fall, the disappointment clear in her expression.
as england’s players walk off the pitch, heads hung low, you feel helpless, wanting nothing more than to comfort her.
you’re not sure if she’s even seen you in the stands, and you hesitate, unsure of what to do.
then, you see leah, one of her teammates that became one of your favorites, give alessia a nudge and nod in your direction.
alessia looks up, scanning the crowd until her eyes land on you. for a moment, she’s still, and then she’s moving—walking quickly toward you, her face a mixture of surprise, relief, and something that looks like hope.
before you know it, she’s right in front of you, and you’re pulling her into your arms, holding her tight as she buries her face in your shoulder.
“i’m so proud of you,” you whisper, your voice barely audible over the noise of the crowd.
“you were amazing.”
she lets out a shaky breath, holding you close. “i didn’t expect to see you here.”
“well, i couldn’t let you play in a world cup final without me,” you say, smiling softly as you pull back just enough to look into her eyes.
“win or lose, i’m here for you.”
alessia’s eyes soften, and for a moment, the weight of the loss seems to lift. she cups your cheek with her hand, her thumb gently brushing against your skin, and you lean into the touch, your heart swelling with something warm and undeniable.
“thank you,” she whispers, her voice filled with emotion. and as the noise of the stadium fades into the background, all that matters is this—being here with her.
“maybe i can stay in london for a while, to make you feel better if thats okay?” you hug her again, holding her knowing that the world cup loss is still in her mind.
“that is more than okay, y/n.”

find the rest of my 12 days of chrismas here !
It was Christmas Eve, and you couldn’t help but feel the weight of the season on your shoulders. This year had been a whirlwind, so many ups and downs, and you weren’t sure how to make it through the holiday without getting overwhelmed. Your family was miles away, and your closest friends were all busy with their own plans. As much as you tried to put on a brave face, you couldn’t shake the feeling of loneliness that crept in when the lights on your tree twinkled in the dark.
But Quinn Hughes, your boyfriend, was determined to change that. Even though he’d been away for hockey games, traveling with his team, he’d assured you he’d be home in time for Christmas. Still, as the hours passed on Christmas Eve, you found yourself curled up on the couch, nursing a cup of hot cocoa, wishing he were there.
Suddenly, your phone buzzed. A text from Quinn.
Quinn: I’m home, and I have a surprise for you. Stay right there, okay?
Your heart skipped a beat. You immediately sat up straighter, suddenly awake and alert.
Before you could even type a response, there was a knock on your door.
You stood, walking slowly over to open it, feeling a mix of excitement and curiosity. When the door swung open, Quinn was standing there, dressed in a cozy coat, his hair a little crazy from the cold.
“Merry Christmas, baby,” he said, his grin bright and warm, despite the chill in the air.
You smiled, feeling a rush of relief just seeing him standing there. “Merry Christmas,” you replied, stepping forward to give him a quick hug. “I didn’t expect you to be home so soon!”
He chuckled softly, pulling back to hold up a small wrapped box. “Well, I wanted to make sure this Christmas was special for you. You deserve it.”
Curious, you took the box from his hands and examined it. It was light, and the wrapping was simple but elegant. The small bow was perfectly tied, and the edges of the paper were a little crinkled as if he’d wrapped it himself.
“Go ahead,” Quinn encouraged, a twinkle in his eye.
With a small smile, you carefully unwrapped it, revealing a velvet box inside. Your heartbeat quickened as you lifted the lid, unsure of what you were about to see.
Inside the box was a delicate snow globe, one that had a small scene of a cabin covered in snow. You could see tiny little lights on the cabin and what looked like a miniature Christmas tree just inside the window. As well, you saw two figures standing outside the cabin, that looked exactly like you and Quinn. But what made your breath catch in your throat was the inscription on the base of the snow globe:
"Every moment with you feels like a Christmas miracle."
Tears pricked the corners of your eyes as you looked up at him, trying to find the right words.
“Quinn, this is… It’s beautiful. I don’t even know what to say,” you whispered, overwhelmed.
Quinn’s expression softened as he took your hands in his.
“I know this year hasn’t been easy for you. And I want to remind you that, no matter what, I’ll always be here for you. You’re not alone. You’ve brought so much light into my life, and I want to give you the same warmth you’ve given me.”
He stepped closer, brushing a strand of hair behind your ear before cupping your face gently. “I don’t want you to feel alone tonight. You mean the world to me, and I’m so lucky to have you.”
A lump formed in your throat as you took in the sincerity in his voice. This wasn’t just a gift, it was a promise. He was here, he was yours, and this Christmas would be one you would never forget.
With a shaky breath, you stepped forward and kissed him, the snow globe still safely cradled in your hands. His lips were warm against yours, and the kiss was slow and tender, as if you both were savoring the moment.
When you finally pulled away, you rested your forehead against his. “You’re my Christmas miracle, Quinn,” you murmured.
Quinn smiled, his eyes soft and filled with affection. “And you’re mine.”
You stood there together for a few moments, the soft hum of Christmas music playing from inside the apartment, the world outside covered in snow. And in that moment, with Quinn by your side, you realized that no matter how much had changed, the love you shared was the most magical gift of all.

what’s peters body count?🫣
boyfriend!frat!peter 🤭
‘what’s your body count?’
peter freezes, he’s not opposed to the previous partners talk when it comes to being safe and healthy. but the number thing… he doesn’t see how it’s useful.
‘don’t worry, i have all the clean screenings.’ he tries to swerve around the question, you won’t let him. ‘no, i get that. we’ve talked about it before. but, how many people have you hooked up with?’
peter knows the frat boy stereotype, he may have even played into it for a little while. but he doesn’t want you to see him like that, he doesn’t want you to think of him as a womanizer or pig.
‘um,’ he wants to say a different number than the one in his head, he wants to preserve what you think of him. ‘does it matter?’
you tap your fingertips over his ribcage, ‘i guess not. i’m just curious.’ peter’s tracing circles around your shoulder, ‘cool.’
you wait, it seems like he took your response as an opportunity to stay silent. something about his hesitance makes you feel icky.
‘not gonna share?’ peter thought your answer meant the conversation was over, apparently not. ‘is there a reason you’re asking?’
you pat his skin, giving him a second notice before sitting up. ‘not really, but now you’re being all coy, i want to know.’
‘yeah, but i’m your boyfriend now. it shouldn’t matter.’ your eyebrows furrow. ‘it doesn’t. but hiding it makes it matter.’
‘i’m not hiding anything.’ except he is.
‘you are. i want to know. right now.’ peter’s looking off to the side, you can see through his invisible wall, he’s embarrassed. ‘peter, i’m not gonna judge you or anything. i’m just curious.’
‘you are. you totally are and i don’t want you to see me as different. i was a different person before i met you, and who i was before shouldn’t matter now.’
you nibble on your bottom lip, ‘it’s either really low or really high based on what you’re giving me.’ peter’s silent, you’re thinking it’s on the higher side.
‘more than ten?’
more silence. ‘more than fifteen?’
you don't know how high to go. ‘twenty five?’
‘lower, but not by much.’
you stare at him. peter stares back. he’s expecting you to drop your face and turn away, call him a manwhore and spit in his face. he’s not expecting the sweeping grin that takes place.
‘is that why you’re so good in bed? hefty experience?’
‘i wouldn’t know, you’re the only one i ever put effort into.’
you bat your eyes at him, a pout takes over while you try to calm the urge of attacking him with kisses. insecurity flushes over you, ‘were they... were they all just one night stands?' there it is, that's what peter was waiting for.
your actual name is said, drawn out like you were playing a dangerous game. 'it's just that, i mean, am i enough for you?' peter feels his chest tighten, if he could, he'd take back every night he ever spent with a girl that wasn't you.
'why would you ask me that?' you feel hidden in peter's arms, they're around you and there's a kiss on your forehead. 'of course you're enough for me. you're more than enough, you always have been.'
'i don't think i can compete with that many girls and-'
'you're not. there is no competition, and there never was.' you shake your head, 'liar. you were still hooking up with other girls when we started hooking up.'
you're a little shocked by peter's rough hold, you're staring up at him with wide eyes when he talks down to you. 'is that what you think? have you always thought that?'
it's not what you think, it's what you know. 'you said-' peter cuts you off, 'i said bullshit. i talked to other girls, maybe flirted a little, but i never had sex with anyone else. trust me, i wouldn't fuck up like that.'
peter was right, there was no competition. because you won first and only place the second you stepped foot into his bedroom. 'wait, does that make me the competition? like, if we break up i'm the standard for you?'
'i mean... yeah, i kind of love you a whole lot.' this time, you don't hold back on your attack of kisses. 'i made you change your rules. i win.'
peter disagrees. 'no, i won.'

same name
alessia russo x reader
based on this request.
———
It was a normal Tuesday afternoon. You were standing on the grass field, watching all your children play a bit of football.
You teach the fourth years. Every Friday, you like to give your students to do what they want to do, and most of the time, they choose to play football.
“Miss! Miss!” You turn to your right to see one of the girls in your class running towards you.
“Hey, Ellie. D’you need something?”
“My mum bought me a Lioness jersey and I’ve just noticed it’s got your name on it.”
“Oh, really?”
“Yeah, do you play for the Lionesses?”
The question made you laugh, but covered it up with a cough, not wanting to embarrass your student.
“No, I don’t Ellie. That’s Alessia Russo’s jersey. Do you know who that is?”
Henry, another one of your students, heard you as he was running past, quickly changing directions towards you.
“I know! I know!” This caught the attention of the rest of your class, everyone now formed a group around you. “My mum loves to watch football and told me she’s her favorite!”
“That’s amazing, Henry. Who here knows who the Lionesses are?” Most of the class raised their hands. “Wow, a lot more than I thought.”
“The girls are more interesting to watch than the boys.”
“Why is that?”
“Well, my dad said it’s because there’s less flopping, whatever that means.” A bit shrugs his shoulders, making you giggle.
Before you could say another word, the bell had rung.
“School’s over. Grab your bags, it’s time to head home.”
“Have a great weekend Miss.”
“You as well.”
Walking through the front door of your house, you were met with silence. It wasn’t a surprise as you didn’t see the white Mercedes in your driveway.
You decided to get started on dinner, so you’ve got dressed into something comfy and made your way to the kitchen. As you’ve placed the food in the oven to cook, you heard the front door open.
“Honey? I’m home!”
“In the kitchen!” You called out, washing the dishes.
Footsteps got louder as they walked closer, arms wrapping themselves around your waist, a head tucking themselves in the crook of your neck.
“Hi, Amore.”
“Hi, Lessi baby. How was training?”
“Same as always. How was your day?”
“Watched the kids play football, like every Friday.”
Alessia almost sounded like she was purring, trying to somehow find a way to be closer to you than she already is.
“That reminds me. One of my students brought you up, how her mum bought her your Lioness jersey then asking if I was a footballer cause we’ve got the same name.”
“That’s hilarious, really.”
“Then everyone gathered ‘round and we spent a few minutes just before the bell just talking about the team. Almost all of them are big fans of you lot.”
“You never told them who you were married to?” Alessia asks, not put off by you not telling her students, just curious.
“I just wanted to get situated with them for a bit. It’s only the second month of me being there. But if they ask, I won’t deny it.”
“Mmm. Okay. I love you.”
“I love you more.”
“Impossible.”
On Monday, Alessia arrived at the Emirates training grounds for another day of training. She greeted everyone she saw walking by, sleep still present on her face.
“Morning, Lessi. How was the weekend with the missus?” The morning was no longer peaceful. Katie’s loud voice cutting through the silence.
“Very relaxing. How was yours?”
“Very energetic.” She stated, wiggling her eyes brows suggestively.
“Stop that.” Caitlin slaps the back of her girlfriend’s head.
After training, the gunners crowd around each other, calming themselves down.
“Uh, could I ask you guys for a favor?” Alesia speaks up after catching her breath, pointing her attention to her Lioness teammates.
“What’s up?”
“Well, Y/NN’s class are really big Lioness fans and I was wondering if Leah, Lotte, Beth, you’d want to join me in surprising my wife’s class on Friday?”
“Oh, we’d love to!”
Friday comes around quickly. You were leading your class out to the field, bag of footballs over your shoulder. Getting closer, you see four figures standing on the field.
“Miss! It’s the England captain!”
Leah Williamson is indeed standing in front of you, as well as Lotte, Beth, and Alessia.
“What are you guys doing here?” You ask, giving them all a hug, Alessia’s lasting longer than the rest.
“Thought we’d surprise the kids. Play some football.”
“Hey! You’re the one with the same name as Miss.” Ellie points a finger at Alessia.
Alessia crouches down to her height, the other kids getting closer.
“She actually stole my name.” All your students gasped.
“What? No, I didn’t. She’s lying to you all. I got her permission.” You send your wife a look that she knows means ‘stop or you’ll sleep in the couch’ making her lift her arms in surrender.
“Lying is bad. Shame on you.” Alessia now has a look of embarrassment on her face, getting told off by a child.
“My mum has a crush on you.” The statement was directed at Leah. “I don’t know what that means. Why does she want to crush you?” Leah’s face goes bright red.
“Okay!” You get everyone’s attention. “Let’s play some football!”
They all split themselves into teams while you and Leah stay on the sidelines. Watching your wife with all the children is making you feel lots of emotions.
“She’s so good with kids.”
“Am I gonna get any godbabies soon?”
You snap your head towards Leah. “Who said you’d be the godmother?”
“I’m just manifesting. Don’t make me wait too long.” Leah walks away, seeing Alessia walking towards you.
“Hi, love.”
“Hey, baby.”
“What were you two talking about?”
“How my ovaries are bursting watching you with kids.” She wraps an arm around your waist, you looking up at her, chin on her chest. “You’d be such a great mum.”
“You would too.”
“You think it’s time?”
“I mean…” She’s looking down at you suggestively, a smirk on her face. “We can start trying once we get home.”
“Hate to break it to you, but none of us have the right parts for that.”
“Doesn’t mean that we can’t practice.”
“Lessi!”

Silver Soul
Jackie Taylor x Fem!Reader
part one part two ➴ part three
A/N: Hii thanks for the love on part one ! This is part two and i’ll probably make one more part after this <3
Summary: Jackie starts sending you mixed signals and you struggle to keep up with her. (shitty description ik shh)
-
Students fill the classroom groggily walking over to their desks. You and Taissa always talk in homeroom and today you wanted to get her advice on Jackie.
“Do you even know if she’s gay?” Taissa asks.
You look down at your book bag. “Well no, I mean she didn’t even know I was.”
Taissa laughs. “Yeah she’s definitely straight. A blind person would know you were gay just based off your voice.” She says, poking fun at you.
“You’re the worst.” You joke back to Taissa.
“But seriously, the hardest part of it all is that before last week she barely crossed my mind and now, I can’t stop thinking about her.” You sigh.
Just as Taissa was about to add on to the conversation, you feel a weight on your desk in front of you.
At the front of your desk stood Jackie, flashing her gorgeous smile.
“Good morning!” She said in her normal chirpy voice. Taissa looks between you and her puzzled. “Who are you guys talking about?” Jackie asks, having overhead a little bit of you guys conversation.
You look at Taissa silently pleading for her to help you. You were the worst at lying and Taissa could win a medal in it if she wanted to.
“No one that interesting.” Taissa says, lying. “You’re so dressed up today Jackie.” She adds on, attempting to change the subject
Jackie was wearing a skirt with a plaid pattern on it. Her pink sweater was tucked into the skirt and Taissa was right she did seem to be more dressed up than usual.
“Yeah you are,” You add. “You look good though.” You say as you look Jackie up and down checking out her outfit.
She smiles at your words and a deep blush spreads across her face.
“Thank you, You look good too.” She reaches over to you and lightly runs her fingers through your hair for a second. Backing away she says, “You always look good though.” She moves off your desk and winks at you before walking away leaving you a flustered mess.
You turn your gaze to Taissa who’s just looking at you with a knowing eyebrow.
“I’m not crazy right?” You say. “She’s flirting with me?”
“No, definitely not crazy.” Taissa laughs out.
The rest of the day was a blur you tried to avoid Jackie knowing you’d just embarrass yourself if she spoke to you. It was easy to avoid her in the classes you shared and in the halls. But, at practice it would be more of a challenge.
-⚽️-
You were dreading practice all day today. Usually, it was a place for you to clear your mind. But the one reason your mind wasn’t clear just happened to be there.
Before practice, you were walking out of the locker room with Nat laughing at some dumb joke she made about Randy Walsh. She had started talking to him recently and couldn’t stop making jokes about how much of a weirdo he was. Which happens to be exactly her type.
Watching you laugh at Natalie’s jokes, Jackie glares at Nat from across the field. She couldn’t help but wonder if you and Nat were a thing. Ever since what you told her yesterday she was curious. You guys were always together and you seemed to think whatever she was saying was the funniest thing in the world. She didnt know why she cared so much but she did.
During practice the team had a scrimmage against each other. Jackie formed the teams and of course she put you on her team. You were already nervous about being next to her on the field after almost knocking her out about a week ago. All you could do was pray it would be fine.
-⚽️-
The end of the scrimmage was nearing. The teams were tied 2-2. Whoever scored next would win.
Van, who was on your team, stole the ball from Shauna and ran towards Lottie to pass the ball to her. Lottie missed the ball and at the last second you ran in-front of Laura lee who almost caught it. You maneuvered the ball away from her causing her to trip. You ran downfield towards the goal and took the shot. And shockingly enough, you made it.
When the ball went in Coach Ben blew his whistle and yelled, “Game! Jackie’s team: Wins.”
Jackie ran over to you and basically tackled you into a hug.
“Jesus Y/N! How the hell did you make that shot?” Still in her arms she looked at you smiling.
You smiled back at her, her hair was stuck to her face from sweat and she was slightly flushed from running. But, she still looked pretty as ever. It was almost annoying that she could still look so beautiful after a full practice.
“To be honest I didn’t think I would.” You say, laughing.
Jackie pulls away from you but leaves her arm around your shoulders. You both walk over to get water.
“I’m glad I put you on my team today.” She giggles out.
You nod, “Me too.”
-⚽️-
After practice, while changing in the locker room you were talking to Nat, as usual, about tonight. There was a Halloween party and you and Nat were trying to pick out your outfits.
“Maybe I could be like a pirate or something?” You say, lacing up your shoes.
“That’s pretty cute actually.” Nat agrees. “And on brand, you steal people’s shit in real life too.”
Rolling your eyes you interject, “That was one time, and I was twelve.”
“Are you guys going to the party together?” You hear a voice behind you say. Turning around you see Jackie’s hazel eyes looking between you and Nat questioningly.
“Uh yeah, I guess” Nat says nonchalantly. “I mean I’m driving her there. I always do though.” She explains.
“Oh, okay I’ll see you guys there then.” Jackie says, sounding a little bit disappointed.
As she walks away you notice her look back at you and she gives you a tiny smile before disappearing behind the wall to the way outside.
“Did she sound upset or was it just me?” You question turning to look at Nat.
Nat just shrugged. “Maybe she wanted to go with you. She has been oddly close to you recently. I mean the way she hugged you after you scored on a Scrimmage? C’mon man.” Nat explained, enunciating the word scrimmage.
Your face contorts with confusion at Nats words. Did Jackie really like you? She couldn’t right? I mean you guys had just started to become friends like a week ago after what happened at practice. Maybe you were just overthinking everything and Jackie was like this with everyone.
She was naturally charming and you were probably just reading over everything wrong.
You drove home from practice that day and didn’t stop for coffee. You just wanted to get home and take a nap before the party. Life was too confusing.
-⚽️-
You’d been at the party for about an hour now. You had been dancing, drinking and doing anything and everything to get Jackie off your mind. Everything was so loud. Halloween music was blasting and you could barely hear anything.
You were dressed in a pirate costume like you planned. It was a tight white dress with a black corset and long boots. The dress barely reached your knees and you wore a red bandana on your head with an eyepatch. You might’ve been dressed a little bit skimpy but it was Halloween, so was every other girl on the planet.
You look over to the couch with Natalie sitting on it talking to Randy.
“I’m gonna grab another drink!” You say practically, yelling over the music so Nat would understand what you meant. She didn’t react to anything you had said. Either the music was too loud or she was too focused on Randy.
You push through the crowds of people struggling to stay upright and finally find the kitchen.
You grab a cup and pour yourself a beer. You were honestly struggling to hold the cup right. To say you were tipsy might be a little bit of an understatement.
“Here to steal my gold?” You hear a familiar voice say. Jackie was standing next to you dressed as Tatum from Scream. You were shocked you weren’t drooling because of how hot she looked.
Your brain finally processes her joke and you laugh a little bit. “Nah, I like your costume though very hot!” You say, still yelling over the music.
Jackie was definitely just as drunk as you, if not more. It was pretty late into the night and she looked like she had been here for about 2 hours already.
Continuing to pour your drink you suddenly feel a wet splash across your chest. “Bitch!” You hear Jackie yell at a girl behind her. The girl shoved her into you causing her to spill her drink all over your costume. “I’m so sorry Y/N!” Jackie slurs out looking like she wanted the floor to swallow her whole.
“It’s okay!” You say, you were too drunk to really care. Jackie grabs your hand and drags you through the crowd. You absentmindedly followed her too distracted by her warm touch to think about where you were going.
You both walk into a bathroom with Jackie closing the door behind you. The bathroom wasn’t very big and your heart was beating out of your chest at the proximity to Jackie.
She wet a paper towel and started to wipe at your chest. Jackie was so focused on getting the stain she caused out, she didn’t realize how close she was to you. You guys were basically sharing breaths at this point.
“It’s almost out, I think?” Jackie says meeting your eyes. Hers go wide for a second as she realizes your distance. Your breathing was labored and your cheeks a deep shade of crimson. You both stood there for a moment. Both trying to understand what the other was thinking. Just before you were going to lean in, Jackie backed away plopping herself down on the bathroom floor.
Her eyes avoided yours as you sat down next to her.
You both just sat there for a minute until she blurted out, “So are you and Nat like, Y’know?”
You scrunched your eyes together hoping she wasn’t suggesting what you thought she was. “Actually no, I don’t know. Are we what?”
Almost mockingly she looks over at you as if what she was saying wasn’t obvious. “Like, dating…”
You widen your eyes at her and burst into a fit of giggles. “Hell no.” You laugh out.
Jackie just looks at you like you’re crazy.
“I wouldn’t date her if she offered me a million dollars. She’s just my best friend.” You say.
“Oh.” Jackie says, furrowing her eyebrows confused at the fact she read it all wrong.
Your drunken mind finally connects the dots. “Why do you care if we’re dating anyway?”
She rolled her eyes at your words and gave you an angry look as if you had just told her that her outfit was ugly or something.
“Really?” She asks you, disappointed by your question.
Quicker than you’d expected she got up and stormed out the bathroom. Leaving you dumbfounded and confused. What did you say that pissed her off so badly?
The party kind of sucked after that. You
just sat outside and smoked with Van and Taissa. Which was a bad idea as they were so obviously in love, and you, were so obviously confused with your love life.
The worst part of it all was Shauna had to drive you, Natalie and, Jackie home since Natalie ended up drinking when she was supposed to be designated driver. The tension in the car was unbearable and you were dying to get out.
Every few minutes Jackie would look into the rearview mirror just to shoot you a dirty look. Nat noticed too and tried to whisper to you. “What’d you do to piss the princess off?” She said very loudly, her drunk mind making her think she was whispering. Everyone in the car had have heard what she said and you just hid your face in your hands for the rest of the ride.
When you finally got dropped off you looked back into the car while walking up to your house. You and Jackie made eye contact and she looked like you had just kicked her puppy or something. You were so lost. What did you do?

Dearly Beloved plays
Weiss:Oh wow, this sounds nice.
Blake:You’re going to be saying that a lot.
Weiss:I absolutely believe it. Also can we discuss why this menu had multiple games.
Jaune:One hurdle at a time. We just need to focus on one.
Yang:Now I know you said no backseating, but you will be a coward if you don’t pick the hardest difficulty.
Ruby:Oh! We should have a death counter!
Weiss:Chat, you see how they want me to suffer?
“Do it!”
“It’s not that hard”
“No balls!”
“Godspeed”
“5 subs if you do”
Weiss:Don’t try and bribe me!
Blake:Weiss, as someone whose played this game way too many times to count, you can handle proud mode.
Jaune:This game might be easier for you than FFX. It’s not turned based, but it’s also not as evil.
Weiss:…I want those gift subs you promised. *hits Proud Mode*
Yang:Peer Pressure wins again!
“I’ve been having these weird thoughts lately…”
Ruby and Blake:Eeehehe~
Weiss:The game just started, shush!
The curious girl pays attention to the words, not looking at chat or even how Jaune himself is rather giddy. Clearly this game means a lot to them. Still, to be this excited so quickly when nothing has-
“🎶Oh~🎶”
The music came out swinging as the screen lit up with visuals. Suddenly, Weiss’s eyes lit up.
Weiss:Oh I might like this song already.
“🎶You’re giving me~ to many things, lately🎶”
Weiss:Oh fuck…
xxxxx
The opening ends and Weiss is left with her hands in front of her mouth as she tries to rationalize what she just experienced.
Ruby:Ah yes, the face of someone processing greatness.
Weiss:Listen, I’m so torn right now. That sounded fun. I kinda want to grab my keyboard and see if I can play the melody but that derail everything.
Yang:Weiss if you start doing that now, I promise you that it will happen for every track.
Weiss:Fiiiine. I will play the video game.
Photo Bunny gifted 5 subs
Jaune:Thank you Velvet. And just like that, your 100 sub goal is met.
Yang:Aye! Now she has to dress like a character from something she’s played, right? I vote Chica!
Weiss:Denied.
Blake:I’m sure she already has plans.
Weiss:Umm, should I be concerned about what I pick and give up?
Jaune:Would it stop you from picking the staff?
Weiss:*smiles* Probably not.
Jaune:Heh, then go ahead and pick it. It’s your play through.
Yang:Even in a game, you stick to your core.
Weiss:*gives up sword*
Yang:Or maybe not. Colored me surprised.
Weiss:You made me pick the hardest difficulty. I’m not giving up a shield.
Yang:Chat, she’s using critical thinking. It’s all over.
Ruby:We’re you trying to put her on the hardest path!?
Jaune:That’s actually evil.
Yang:Weiss is a big girl. She beat a Resident Evil game. This should be easy for her.
Weiss:This is why Jaune is my co-host and not you.
xxxxxx
Boy: What are you afraid of?
Weiss:….*squints*
Jaune:*smiling* What’s up?
Weiss turns the camera around to see a aburn haired boy with a very distinct choice of clothes.
Weiss:That’s Wakka! Is- Tidus!?
Jaune:Yes that’s your favorite boys
Weiss:Yaaaaay! Okay, this game is cool. Wait, who’s the girl?
Blake and Ruby:Nobody important.
Jaune:Ren is going to kill you both.
Lotus Chef: “SHE’S IMPORTANT TO ME!”
Ruby:Ren, I need you to pick better Final Fantasy characters.
Lotus Chef: “Says the Hope fan girl”
Ruby:Nora, get your man.
Weiss: “My journey begins at midday” wait, this changes things too?
Jaune:It’s your leveling curve basically. You’ll have steady growth the whole game.
Weiss:I can live with that. Yang on the other hand…
Yang:Oh I already knew your choices were gonna be. My interference stopped after you didn’t get rid of the shield. You’ll probably beat this game in four streams without much trouble.
Weiss:You almost sound disappointed.
Yang:There’s a boss I had to help Ruby with years ago. I just wanted to bond over hating it with you but it probably won’t happen now!
xxxxxxx
Weiss:I’ve known Riku for five minutes and I already don’t like him.
Blake:Please don’t slander my son.
Yang:You’d like him if he hated his dad.
Weiss:Correct. I’m biased, and will continue to be so. Tidus starting a journey to say his dad sucks is amazing. In case nobody has gotten it yet, he’s the costume I’m picking.
“Complete with no undershirt?”
Jaune:*casually times user out*
Weiss:Pfft-
Jaune:What?
Weiss:Nothing~ Just listening to the music. Man, this kid has big shoes.
Ruby:He’s supposed to resemble traits of Mickey Mouse.
Weiss:Oh yeah, so is anyone going to explain why this game had Donald Duck and Goofy on the cover?
Everyone:….
Weiss:Alright, fair enough I guess.
Yang:Enjoy the whimsy. Did you see a lot Disney growing up?
Weiss:My recitals when I was little were a few songs.
Jaune:That’s kinda adorable.
Weiss:Until the tunes get stuck in your head. Speaking of which, I can’t ignore this. Jaune, if you would?
She points over to her bed since he’s closest. He grabs her keyboard and hands it over to her. Weiss presses a few keys slowly, trying to guess the correct notes before suddenly playing the Destiny Island theme
Yang:Damn. Why are you huntress!?
Weiss:Music doesn’t pay bills often enough. This melody reminds me of a commercial I did for sunblock .
xxxxxxx
Sora and Kairi: *watching the sunset*
Weiss:…I think I’m going to like this game.
Blake:One of us. One of us.
Big Bags & Miniguns: “Sora’s shorts are killing me inside.”
Weiss:I’m focusing on the half jacket.
Jaune:I like that it has a hood.
Weiss:Gee, I wonder why you like it.
“Kairi cosplay when?”
Weiss:Give that to Ruby.
Ruby:Bet. I already have the hair! You have to be Donald.
Weiss:As i- why is it dark and stormy night?
xxxxxxxx
Weiss:Ya see, I knew Riku was bitch. He’s mad I beat him.
Blake:Play the game!
Weiss:Hahaha!
Jaune:Chat this going to be a fun stream.

christmas regrets
pairing: christmas showdown!chifuyu x f!reader
warnings: fluff, some angst, happy ending! (this is chifuyu centric)
word count: 1k
an: based on the episode where chifuyu is bummed because he can’t get a christmas date :p
It has been a few days since the fight with black dragons and Chifuyu’s leg was still kind of messed up. He can walk just fine if he ignores the pain.
Takemitchy was currently at his house, he said he wanted to make sure Chifuyu was okay. They filled each other in on what had happened. It turns out that after the fight, Takemitchy and Hina get back together. Although, Chifuyu didn’t even know they had broken up!
“Heh, yeah... I kind of broke up with her on Christmas Eve.” Takemichi embarrassingly admits.
The blonde gapes at him, “Why would you do something as stupid as that!”
“Her dad sat me down and asked me to! He asked if I would be able to keep her out of danger. It made me think about whether or not I could! I mean, I told you the future!”
“But that’s why you’re here! To change the future!” Chifuyu argues.
“I know! After the fight, I apologized to her and vowed to do my best to protect her no matter what!” Takeichi exclaimed.
The two continued to talk, going back and forth on their New Year plans when a sudden question appeared in Chifuyu’s mind,
“Speaking of plans, I have a question for you.”
Looking away from one of the blondes’ manga, “What is it?”
Shyly, Chifuyu asks, “Am I married in the future?”
It takes a minute of digging through memories before he remembers Chifuyu mentioning something about a wife.
“Actually, yeah you are.” Another memory floods his mind, though it isn’t of Chifuyu but Kazutora.
“Do you know how awful it is having to tell yet another person that I couldn’t save their loved one!” Kazutora yells. Anger coursed through his veins, tears brimming the edge of his eyes.
“Because of scum like you, yn is going to have to mourn for the rest of her life!”
Waving his hand in front of Takemichi’s face, “Hey, are you listening?”
The latter blinks, “Sorry, what did you say?”
“I asked if you know her name.” Excitement is written all over his face.
“Her name is YN.” At his response, Chifuyu’s smile dropped from his face. His reaction confused him, “What?”
“YN? As in, YN LN?” Chifuyu asked.
Shrugging, he replies, “That’s what Kazutora said. Why?”
Looking away, rubbing his neck in embarrassment, “I.. sort of rejected her.”
“WHAT! But all you do is complain about how much you wish you had a girlfriend?!” Chifuyu scoffs at that, the urge to slap Takemichi strong,
“It was before I met Baji, I was a different person. I told you already, I was full of anger and hate. She had confessed to me on the rooftop at school but I said no. I was uncaring and rude, she didn’t deserve someone like that.” After his confession, Chifuyu’s eyes widen.
“Oh shit!” Quickly, Chifuyu got out of bed, threw on a jacket and socks, and ran out the door.
Chasing after him, Takemichi asks what he’s doing, “I’ll be right back!” With that, the door closes in his face.
-
It was the last day of school before winter break, finals were over and Chifuyu was relieved. He stretched in his seat, focused on the plans to stop Hakkai when two girls walked in front of his desk.
Without a word, they drop a note on his desk and walk away giggling. He had half a mind to just ignore it but the shoujo reader in him was too curious.
So, he opened the letter to find the text,
“Meet me on the rooftop.
- yn”
He blinks once, twice, then jumps out of his seat to run towards the roof. Excitement rushes through his body, Chifuyu was so thankful for another chance with you!
Although, right before he can open the door, he feels his phone buzz. He wanted to ignore it, but when he sees that it's Takemitchy he pauses his movements.
The blonde can barely get a sentence out before he’s loudly interrupted, “I’m bus-”
“Come to my house! Quick!”
Chifuyu sighs, the current situation with the Christmas plan is important and the future is quite literally at stake.
Regretfully, Chifuyu turns around and sprints towards Takemitchy’s house, leaving you alone and upset.
If Chifuyu slams the door open and shut too harshly, Takemichi ignores it.
-
It’s snowing but Chifuyu feels hot after sprinting to your house. How he knew where you lived was a mystery, (Hina once briefly mentioned you live in the same building as her and he kindly asked if he could know the door number).
After catching his breath, the blonde tries to straighten his jacket and smooth down his hair. He stood outside your door, suddenly nervous when he noticed he didn’t bring anything as a peace offering.
He starts to slightly rock back and forth on his feet when the door suddenly opens,
“Matsuno?” You questioned, his heart skips at the sight of you in casual clothes.
Blinking, “Hey LN.”
“What are you doing here?” Shit. He was blanking, he didn’t prepare a speech or anything, all Chifuyu just wanted was to see you.
“I came here to see you.” The delinquent answers.
“Okay... Can I ask why?” Leaning on the doorframe, you wait for an explanation.
“I just wanted to see you,” You blushed at the honesty, “I also wanted to apologize for standing you up on the rooftop. I swear I meant to meet you but then I got caught up with other shit and then I just finally remembered today of your note. I’m also sorry for rejecting you a little while back, I was an ass and-”
Chifuyu was rambling and to help reassure him, you ruffle his hair a bit, “It’s okay, Matsuno.”
You were about to take your hand back when he gently held it in his own, “Please, let me make it up to you. Are you free tomorrow?”
Your brain froze at the contact, you couldn’t believe your crush was asking you out!
“Are you sure you’re free tomorrow?” You tease.
His face gets a little red, embarrassed at his previous actions, “From now on, I’ll always make time for you.”
It was such a serious statement that your cheeks matched the red hue on his.
“Then it’s a date, Matsuno.” Your hands were still intertwined,
“Please, call me Chifuyu.”

alaskan girl masterlist.
rafe was never the type to be obsessed, but here he was, letting his eyes follow you from spot to spot as you chatted and laughed with old friends. he was surprised at how many people you knew despite never having seen you around the island before.
you eluded confidence in every sense of the word, and he couldn’t help but be drawn to you instantly. there was just something about you that intrigued him, something that made him need to know you.
but rafe couldn’t make himself get up and go over to you, so he just opted to watch from a distance as he sipped on his drink.
you seemed to be totally unaware of the set of eyes that trailed you from group to group, that is, until you made eye contact with them.
you watched the boy’s eyes shoot away for a beat, his cheeks going flush with brief embarrassment. it made you wonder how long he’d been watching you for.
you tapped your friend, discreetly pointing in his direction, “who is that?”
she scanned the room, confused for a moment before realizing who you were talking about.
“oh no, y/n don’t even think about it,” she warned precariously.
“what?” you raised a curious brow at her, “why?”
“that’s rafe cameron,” she said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. “obx’s number one residing douchebag and womanizer.”
you laughed in response, “yea, and you have the best judge of character, right?”
with that reply, she knew there was nothing she could do to change your mind. “ugh. fine, just don’t say i didn’t warn you, babe.”
“yea, yea,” you wave her off, “what happened to not judging a book by it's cover?”
she shakes her head at you, watching you as you move to the other side of the room. you find a semi-secluded area on a large sectional that you can get comfy on, allowing your eyes to trail back up to rafe.
he looks back over to where you were originally standing, heart beating in his throat when he realizes you’re no longer there. he’s almost sure that your friend was telling you about how he’s the devil incarnate and probably much worse, and his confidence drops to an all-time low.
and then he sees you, alone on the couch, looking back at him with a sweet, almost angelic smile.
he chugs the rest of his drink, adjusts the backward hat on his head and makes his way over to you. “now or never,” he whispers to himself.
“hi,” he gives you a soft smile when he reaches the couch.
“hi there,” you smile back, “what’s up?”
“nothing much,” he shrugs nervously, “i’m rafe.”
“y/n,” you hum back, extending a hand out to him. he shakes it and then reverts back to standing awkwardly. “wanna sit down? you’re making me nervous, rafe.”
he chuckles at the statement, cheeks flushing red again as he finds a spot next to you. “are you new here?”
“yes and no,” you scrunch your nose up as you try and find the right words. “i grew up here when i was a kid, but my mom just moved back so this summer is kind of a trial run to see if i like it enough that i’m gonna stay for good.”
“and if you hate it?”
“then it’s back to alaska for me,” you take a sip of your drink before glancing at his reaction.
“alaska? that’s far away,” he gapes at you.
“yea, and cold as fuck.” he laughs at your blunt statement. “i’m really hoping i’ll like it here, though.”
rafe can tell by your tone that it’s meant to have a double meaning. he smirks, more sure of himself now, “i think you will.”
“oh yea? how so?”
“cause you’ll have the best tour guide in the obx,” he grins at you, hand raised in triumph.
“how could i hate it?” you grin back, raising your cup in toast, “to loving obx.”
“to loving obx,” rafe can’t help but feel as though he’s only fallen deeper for you in the span of the conversation and part of that scares him. but he also knows that this could be his chance to start over with someone that doesn’t know all the bad shit about him and his family.
patrons at the party watch in awe as the two of you sit for hours, just laughing and telling stories, all of them completely shocked at the lack of moves rafe tries to put on you.
