Steve tries to stay quiet while he gets ready for work, but Eddie hears him. He keeps his eyes closed and just listens- to Steve grumbling to himself when his hair doesn’t sit quite right, who starts to hum and whisper some catchy song. Eddie turns his sleepy gaze onto Steve as he shuffles around their room- watching quietly as he slips on his clothes, his shoes, a simple chain with Eddie’s ring around his neck. A warm, affectionate smile breaks across his face. Before he leaves, Steve glances at what he expects to be a sleeping Eddie, but instead, he’s met with a rasped, ‘Hey.’ Eddie sits himself up, stretches his arm across Steve’s side of the bed, and reaches, fingers wiggling. Steve crosses the room to cradle his face.

Their foreheads press, noses bump, and Steve brushes his fingers across scars and dimples.

He breathes a quiet,

‘Sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you.’

Eddie huffs a tired laugh,

‘You know I never mind.’

Because, yeah.

Every morning Steve tries to stay quiet while he gets ready for work, but Eddie always hears him.

okay so i’ve been considering this for a couple of weeks now.

the amount of hate i’ve been getting since december has really gotten out of hand, to the point i don’t even want to come here anymore. i’ve always loved discussing my stories and replying to asks or comments about them that can be considered controversial, but ever since watercolor i’ve noticed that i can’t really do that in this blog, because me answering one controversial ask seems to be an open invitation for some people to attack me as a person and never let it go.

not only that, but i haven’t been able to post a single chapter of heart out for two months now without getting rude people coming at me, and while they do not affect my self esteem or anything, it does affect my joy of coming here, which is by now non-existent. i love writing and posting my works, but some of you have taken the fun away from it.

with that said, this blog will be inactive as of today.

i’m not anywhere near done writing, but i won’t be coming back to this blog to do so. this used to be my safe place and it no longer feels like that to me, so i’m looking for a new one.

thank you to those of you who always commented and followed my stories, and i’m sorry i’ll be leaving this last one unfinished. i wish you all the best<3

it’s been almost a year now… is the bg3 fandom finally ready to talk about how gale’s “hubris” is the sole product of actively feeding his insecurities further and straight up denying him help & guidance when he was at his lowest and needed it most. it’s not one of his core traits and never was. he isn’t some closeted power hungry monster that is just waiting to be enabled. what he wants is admiration, recognition and acceptance. which is also what he sought from mystra before the orb disaster happened. he had no desire whatsoever to become a god himself or challenge her rule, he simply wanted to be seen as sufficient in her eyes (“to serve her better”). to be as equal as he could possibly be in a relationship with a literal deity. he has a deep passion for magic and knowledge that affects almost all areas of his life and enjoys the display thereof. he wants to be the smartest person in the room and enjoys when his work is recognized. he may be perceived as arrogant when it comes to his skill, but he IS NOT hubristic. it truly takes so little for him to be wholly content.

One of the reasons I’m most grateful that we got so much Dadzhu this lantern rite, is finally all of the people who take things at face value and don’t read the character stories will hopefully stop thinking he doesn’t care about her except as some kind of medical experiment, or that he’s abusing her.

Hoyo with this lantern rite really said Baizhu loves Qiqi and Qiqi loves Baizhu and they said it loudly. My man was distraught when she went missing. He left the pharmacy, which we rarely see him do, and ran around the harbor looking for the traveler, specifically, to ask them to go rescue her. Them holding hands together at the gate. Qiqi insisting on guarding the gate and holding the rattan doll and absorbing the feteor blast for him bc she’s a sponge and she’s obviously worried about what that might do to his already failing health. Baizhu was clearly planning on trying to manage it by himself with how it was framed when they talked about it. Qiqi insisted. AHHHHHHH

lmao so I was working on a comic about Geta and Caracalla before the Gladiator II trailer dropped and immediately went into some kind of frenzy over it, but we’re back!

sort of— honestly the weather has been too hot to work on personal art, and what time I do have for drawing is going to commissions and work because I have bills to pay etc, but I did finish up this illustration of (my versions) of Geta and Caracalla 😌
