Was listening to Timeless by Taylor Swift and had a lil idea.

Alec reading through Magnus’s journal (you know the one) and at some point somewhere he stops paying attention to names and faces cause at some point, he's started seeing himself in all those stories. Him and Magnus in 1800s Peru, in Revolutionary France, in New York in the 1930s and the list goes on.

And it goes past the journal too. Everytime he sees one of Magnus’s old photographs or paintings, one of the past souvenirs Magnus has kept, everytime Magnus tells him a new story, all he hears is me and you, another place, another time.

Eventually his queasiness about Magnus’s exes just fades away, replaced by a wistful feeling of what if that were us?

Okay I had a few different ideas for this one. But I think that "Innocent" is so Jamie Tartt season 2 coded.

Also y'all are always free to send any idea you have to my inbox. Or just like... rants and ramblings. I'm always here for a vent sesh!

Jamie sat alone in the boot room, kicking his feet as he stabbed at a protein bowl. His first day back had not gone well. He spent most of the day being beaten down by his teammates. And why shouldn't they? He was a terrible person, who did terrible things. He'd ruined any chance of ever getting back with this team. Ted was right he'd burned too many bridges.

He missed being a teenager. Back when things were so easy. He'd mess up, fall over or get picked on and he'd run home to his mom. She'd scoop him up into her arms and tell him that he's still got a lot of learning to do and the had was going to be okay.

Now his mum called but he didn't answer. Couldn't get himself to. His dad called and he'd feel angry. Angry that he'd let his spite for his father ruin his life. But now he couldn't run home to mum cause somehow he'd managed to burn that bridge too.

Jamie was so in his own head he hardly noticed when you walked up to him.

"Jamie?" You prodded, gently. He looked up at you, not really seeing you. "Sorry I just... need to grab some towels."

He looked behind him and saw a stack of towel sitting on the counter behind him. He shifted over so you could grab them. You got the towels you needed and could go. But something held you back. You, like many others, had qualms with the return of Jamie Tartt. But you, unlike many others, had a soft spot for him.

You'd seen the way his father treated him. Being the one to come into the room to ask them to leave at the end of last season. Mr. Tartt was cruel to his son. Shouting at him, throwing things at him, hitting him. It made a lot of things make sense. Since he'd been back, he was different, you could tell. He was really anxious. It was iminating from every pour in his body. Even if he tried to act enthusastic.

"Jamie... you know..." You struggled to figure out exactly what you were trying to say to him. "I think... I think you're okay. I think that you just need to give them time, yeah?"

He scoffed. Not in any rude way, just unbelieveing. "Yeah... well... they've got no reason to trust me now. Why should they?"

Seeing Jamie sit there, wallowing in his own sadness, made your heart ache in a way you didn't like. It was like he was just a kid who got kicked on the playground.

"Well, I think your future is still bright," you told him, sitting next to him. "I know things are weird right now. With everyone being against you and all, but just wait and see, yeah?"

"How do you know that?'

"I don't," you admitted, shrugging. "But I get it. You were on top of the world. And you made a lot of mistakes. But who you are is not where you've been. And I think you're not that person that you were pretending to be." Jamie looked down at you, surprised at your comment. "There's more game to play, just remember that."

You gave him a smile. Despite himself, Jamie felt himself smiling, too.

"Thanks."

You're cheeks started to burn as he stared at you, a genuine smile on his face. You cleared your throat.

"Yeah, of course. Just uh," you stood, grabbing your towels and backing up towards the door. "Just know I believe in you."

You ran into the door, hitting your head. You cursed, rubbing your head, embarassment flooding your stomach. Then you gave Jamie a nod and left. Jamie couldn't believe that you were supporting him. After everything he did, he had you on his side. And with you on his side, maybe he was still an innocent.

I woke up this morning and saw everything but I was literally like 😐 like no emotion at all and when I saw the album cover I was mad cause all I was fearing was that there's not gonna be a polaroid (spoiler alert: there wasn't) and the new one looks nothing like the old one. But then I saw her face and her smile and I swear I almost started crying. I don't know why she still has this hook on me but I was also so emotional when she released that mine tv snippet or sang long live live. Idk I guess I'm probably just an unstable teenager who loved that woman too much back then and I regret it now cause I'm not supposed to cry when I see an album cover. Anyways. I hope I hope I hope and I have a little bit of faith that this rerecording will be good (please don't let it be like sntv please please please)

Also I don't even hate the cover cause yeah it's completely different from the og but it fits somehow and imo it's better than some other tv covers

Don’t apologize! I agree completely, I do think it captures the vibe well and overall it’s pretty. I love the coloring of it. And I will say she looks gorgeous in the photo. And I think it’s perfectly reasonable to get emotional about it because it probably took you back to that time and era when she was so prominent in our lives and wasn’t doing anything wrong yet and everything was exciting and now we’re here lol. It’s kinda like she’s replacing her old d self and those clean memories with ones of her now and that’s sad, I think it’s perfectly normal to be sad about that.

this girl who I used to go to school with posted the sntv tracklist and went on a whole rant about how the re-recordings are all a cash grab and she’s taking advantage of women’s feelings?? like babes this is literally a passion project for a woman who’s own work got stolen from her and now she is able to reclaim her music in the next best way

when SNtv comes out (with probably more songs @ john) i know the entire world is gonna focus on john the same way they did jake but i really hope as a collective we can at least try to like shit on him for his ACTUAL horrid racist, misogynistic, etc issues rather than ppl just saying oh he's shit for what he did to taylor bc while yes it was Absolutely shitty, i feel like if people only focus on that they're gonna give him a redemption arc in the public eye bc they "don't think he deserves it" like with jake and it's like no babes he's actually actually and horrible far beyond taylor lol idk if any of that made sense i'm just ranting

I’ll be honest, ‘i can see you’ was the vault track i was least excited about because the title was honestly not as intriguing as the others, but i was SPEECHLESS. It was so good?? first of all, speak now taylor wrote this???? second of all, i want more of these kind of songs from her!! give it to us taylor we know you have more

timeless. timeless. timeless. i have no words, i am speechless. that lyric video was so beautifully made, the lyrics are so descriptive detailed vivid. the dates, the settings, “25 cents”. i am obsessed. i think this has got to be my favorite sntv vault track it’s just EVERYTHING to me.

listening to the vault tracks for the first time is so scary because once i listen to it i will never be able to listen to it for the first time again
