Pidge … is a touchy subject with me lately so i hope i don’t offend anyone? These are just my personal opinions and are subject to change, but this is just how i feel currently!

How I feel about this character

I used to adore pidge. And to a degree, I still do love her. I get proud when she pulls off incredible feats and such. But … I dunno, I’m a lance bias and the way she’s been treating lance has been getting on my nerves. I know it’s supposed to come off as a playful jabbing and sibling-esque insults, but she hasn’t actually SHOWN that she believes otherwise.

trapped between her not having any romantic feelings in general cause technology is the way to go or to stick with my “she’s a spunky lesbian”, but no characters to ship her with alas.

My unpopular opinion about this character

Not really unpopular but it might rub people the wrong way but I love pidge when she’s in the background as a side character, with momentary times to spotlight. She’s gotten quite a few episodes almost entirely dedicated to how badass she is and I think that’s more than enough, but that’s just my opinion.

Also i’ve kinda lost interest in the whole Holt Family reunion thing in general. After we got 2 episode in s5 dedicated to finding her dad, I officialy lost interest.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

I wanna see her acknowledge lance a little more genuinely soon. It’s been teasing and jabs and insults for a little too long for me and I’m in need a moment of actual solidarity and friendship between them sooner than later.

CYBER BULLYING --- “Berirong”

Cyber bullying is a crime. Stop the hate, stop the crime!

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) recently conducted a study about how cyber bullying affects the youth. An article posted in Philstar Global last February 7, 2019, the UNICEF said that “Cyber bullying” affects 70% of the youth today.

If we are to analyze the number, 7 out of 10 youth today are experiencing bullying on the internet through the use of Social Networking Sites (SNS). This study only proves that there is a prevailing culture of harassment online, it could be in different forms--- worse or worst.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate only love can do that” -Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

We understand that those people who hold anger and reservations towards us are also experience darkness within their personal life. If we fight back with hate, the cycle will not stop but if we are to show love and compassion for them, the heart and acts that really understand their situation, we might get into a win-win situation.

I have listed here my three combat verses that would calm my heart and yours too if by chance you caught in to the momentum.

First, you control your emotions, you breathe some air and fill up your lungs! In Proverbs 10:12, it says that “Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers all wrongs”. Let us put ourselves in calmness before we judge things, and act upon it. 

The second thing you must to is to pray, nothing’s too hard for the Lord. This world taught us to be independent and away from the Creator’s heart but God did not stopped until He found us. Prayer changes everything. In Luke 6:27, it says that love your enemies, do good to those who hate you. If we pray for them, we show love and care for them.

Lastly, you should learn to what had happened and learn their nature. We must keep in mind that they are under the influence of non-physical element (it might be a drug or spiritual element). They are humans like us, no more than a human, and by that we should treat them even they are not doing unto us. “Love must be sincere, hate what is evil; cling to what is good” said in Romans 12:9. We love the sinners, those who sinned against us, after all we are all sinners who fall short in front of God, that is why we must forgive each other. Hate the sin, not the sinner.

“Beri-rong”, a trending Filipino click which means “Very wrong”. Cyber bullying is a wrong doing of a lost mind. This is not right. It is a crime--- stop the crime. Cyber bullying is BERIRONG!
