Changes I made in the family tree for my warriors rewrite (If there's anything in here where you're like "but this makes incest" i can promise with about 95% certainty that i already solved it):

Redtail and Runningwind are Longtail, Darkstripe, and Sandstorm's dads

Redtail is trans (obviously)

Rosetail is Redtail, Willowpelt, and Spottedleaf's mother and I made Thrushpelt their dad. Leopardfoot and Patchpelt are no longer related to them

I made up new parents for Rosetail. tbh any time I got into a bind I just made up new cats cause why not. But Rosetail's case was very severe and I literally had to cut her completely out of her own family. She is literally the pin holding all this new stuff together.

I gave Ravenpaw a warrior name, so he is now Ravenflight

Graystripe is Whitestorm's son

Dustpelt is no longer Ferncloud's uncle! I made Dustpelt and Ravenflight Patchpelt's sons and i made up a mate for him, who I made into Rosetail's sister (thank you Rosetail) and made Brindleface and Frostfur the only litter of Robinwing and Fuzzypelt

I changed Brambleclaw's name to Brambleflower in-story. He changes it himself.

I changed Ivypool and Dovewing's parents to be Cloudtail and Brightheart. It makes the kin of your kin thing make more sense imo.

Snowkit lives and becomes Snowtalon. I haven't decided if he should get a mate and kits just yet. Also, Brackenfur will mentor him and so he'll be mentoring his own uncle. Which I think is pretty funny.

I've made it so Brightheart and Thornclaw's apprentice ceremonies get pushed back for doing something stupid. This way I don't have to split up their litter, plus it adds to later angst about not being made warriors.

I've changed Tigerheart's name to Clawheart to prevent Tigerstar 2 nonsense. So he's still named after Tigerstar but more subtley

Rowanclaw and Tawnypelt are t4t

I've made Swiftpaw Tigerstar's son

I tried to get rid of a lot of the half sibling complications in the family tree if they weren't important or impactful. Like Thrushpelt isn't Thistleclaw's half brother anymore for instance

Swankit, one of Graypool's kits, survives and becomes Swansong. because I think it would make the family drama more interesting

Mothpool is canon but Leafpool still had the three with Crowfeather during a really impulsive fling

Talljake and RavenBarley are canon obviously

There are no romantic feelings between Firestar and Spottedleaf at any point

the hawk doesn’t pick up snowkit because he’s too big wtf erins what size do you think six moon old cats are??? it does try, though, and he ends up getting scars from it.

he has a bit of trouble with training, but brackenfur (his mentor) adapts it for him, and it ends up getting adopted; disabled cats are often given to brackenfur afterward due to the fact that he can easily come up with ways to adapt training for them (as much as i love longtail and brightheart and want bright to have an apprentice, jay being given to them because they could help him with his blindness... yeah it’s not that good of a reason. i’m definitely giving her an apprentice before she retires, though, and she may help with brackenfur’s training). tawnypaw (who. i may have stay in thunderclan? i’m not sure, though! honestly i feel like her not wanting cats to see her like tigerstar and her then going to tigerstar’s clan seems. hm) and bramblepaw also end up making sign-speak with snowpaw (and mistlepaw, who’s mentored by sandstorm cuz fuck bluestar/fireheart not having her mentor anyone), and they first teach it to brackenfur before bramble teaches it to firestar and he makes it mandatory to learn.

snowpaw’s warrior name is snowtalon, while mistlepaw’s is mistleblaze!

What if cats who had died as kits and apprentices actually lived to become warriors? Today I decided to draw what several of them would look like if they had lived as well as make up their warrior names!

Characters, top to bottom: Swiftpaw, Seedpaw, Mistkit and Nightkit, Mosskit, Gorsepaw, and Snowkit

Naming explanations below the cut :)

Swiftrunner- Named for his speed and his courage during the dog attack, and especially how he sprinted all the way back to camp to get help while Brightpaw and him were bleeding out.

Seedbranch- Named because she miraculously survived several minutes of being underwater in the lake to get Jayfeather’s stick.

Mistfire and Nightstrike- The former was named for her fiery amber eyes and the latter for her quick but fierce fighting style.

Mosscloud- Named for the cloud-shaped gray patch on her back and for her super soft fur.

Gorsedawn- Named after his mother, Morningflower!

Snowtalon- Named after the hawk that took him away when he was a kit that he, by some miracle from StarClan, survived.

From below the wings of a bird circling high above, a single queen lay, panting in the sweet sun's rays. Next to her, a thin, squeaking kit nuzzles her fur, mewling weakly. The queen- Snowtalon- hisses into the open air, words heavy on her tounge. "Curse Starclan," She growls, her paw pulling her kit closer. 

 "They never did anything for us. The clans," She continues, ranting to the void of near-death. Her white fur is scarred, mottled by moons of war. Tail flicking, it covers the trembling kit. 

 "Never did what?" A tom asks, his pale paws mere whispers dancing over the sunburnt grass. Instantly, the weathered queen darts up, eyes trained onto the creamy tom, who simply settles into the ground, more interested in the kit than Snowtalon. 

 "Heal," She spits, "Create, Help- do anything to stop everything." 

 The tom studies the white queen, green eyes calmer than the tallest, immovable tree. "Do you want help?" He says, simply. Snowtalon glares, her paws firmly blocking the tom from the weeping kit. "What's their name?" 

 Snowtalon stares down at the tom- this strange creature, who somehow existed on this massive island; somewhere she was shipwrecked, torn away from the clans she previously knew. "Your name first." She settles on, voice harsh. 

 "Me?" The tom seems surprised, his eyes widening slightly. "Ah." He smiles, the faintest tabby markings on his pelt glittering to life when they catch the sun. "I'm Moththroat." 

 "..Throat?" She says, low. Confused. 

 Moththroat laughs, more of a melodic chuckle than the harsh bark she was used to. "For my songs, of course." He gives a soft grin to the queen. "Oh, and forget that idea. You're not alone. We're all around you, after all- and the other cats- the leaders without their suffixes?" 

The creamy tom sighs, gentle paws pressing onto Snowtalon's. "Murkpounce- she's the one near the ant nests. The caves are her home, so you shouldn't go down; and there's Honeybelly too."

He shakes his head. "Honeybelly has strange ideals. Stranger than mine, even." Moththroat leans in. "She worships the bees. So does her.. group. And- the bees? They ride in the clan's fur."

He’s my big and good Golden Eagle dude who is a soldier of Goldwings.

Strong-hearted, stubborn and friendly he takes pride in fighting for what he loves and to protect. He could be considered a leader for a small group of birds consisting of Rainbow the Scarlet Macaw, Cobalt the Spix’s Macaw, Azulo the Hyacinth Macaw, Krion the Canary, Snowtalon the Snowy Owl and Red Tail the Red tailed Hawk. 

At first when Nina meets him, she thinks he’s gonna eat her, but he assures her that in the Avianara world that it’s a crime to eat a bird (much to Nina’s shock) but it’s not like the birds of prey are gonna starve, They eat worms, fish, some rodents, small mammals, carrion or insects, He’s okay with the diet.
