Snow White | Red Shoes x Rapunzel - Trapped Under the Same Spell

I haven’t done anything with SnowPunz on Tumblr in awhile, but I’ve come to change that! Because I still love these soft fairytale sapphics!

Their “main story” is basically a combination of their two movies, only Rapunzel decides to leave the tower on her own and ends up running into a disguised Snow as Red Shoes, who’s currently on the run from her stepmother. Snow is looking for her missing father, while Rapunzel just wants to experience real freedom outside of her towers. (Little do either of them know that Gothel and Regina, Snow’s stepmother, are in cohorts and looking for them both)

I have a knack for following flf crossover ships way more than most mlm crossover ships. (I have one, but I don’t get inspiration for WinterPrince as much as my other ships) Besides, Red Shoes and Tangled have similar artstyles, along with probably the same animators, so they probably go together best out of most CGI crossovers.

I’ve wanted to play with this for months, but my dumbass kept forgetting to actually have fun with it. I loved this when I saw this movie initially since it just makes so much sense. And I love talking about my OTPs, so here we go. (Also, this is with my crossover OTPs, in case anyone wondered about my other fandoms. Just ask if you want me to do it with them too.)

Hiccanna

Hiccup realizes that it isn’t Anna when the siren states: 

“Wouldn’t you like to go for a swim with me, darling?”

Hiccup is fully aware of Anna’s fear of water after what happened to her parents and to her sister, which causes Anna to only hang out in the shallower parts of water if they do something like that. And with his prosthetic, it only adds to Anna’s anxiety.  

However, Anna realizes it isn’t Hiccup when the siren says this:

“Let’s ditch the monster and cuddle by the fire for all time.”

It already told her that something was off when Toothless wasn’t with him, but that threw her over the edge. Hiccup, the biggest dragon protector, would never say such a thing about his best friend. Nor would she ever expect Hiccup to go without Toothless just for her. She loves the dragon just as much as he does.

Isastrid

 Isabela would figure it out it wasn’t Astrid if the siren says:

“There’s my perfect flower.”

No matter what universe we’re talking about here, Isa’s trigger word is perfect. And Astrid knows this very well, which is why she never refers to her girlfriend as such. She isn’t one for nicknames unless they’re in one of their sass-offs. 

As for Astrid, it wouldn’t actually be anything that the siren said. She would know immediately because the siren’s image is Isabela in her pretty purple dress, looking absolutely perfect. She just goes, “Nope, you’re not Isa. How dare you impersonate her?”

WinterPrince/Jans

Hans would be pretty fooled until the siren says: 

“You’re always right, Hans.” 

For one, Jack rarely calls him by his actual name. It’s either Sideburns or Princey or any nickname that may rub Hans the wrong way. And for another, Jack refuses to say that Hans is right in any situation until it reaches a point when they’re absolutely doomed. 

As for Jack, he may have been fooled had the siren not said:

“I hope you never leave me.” or “I love you too much to leave.” 

Hans doesn’t like to be vulnerable around Jack openly, while Jack struggles with the same thing. So, saying something so vulnerable or honest about his fear of Jack never returning is something that Jack would recognize. 

I’m struggling to think of one for SnowPunz, so I’ll maybe I’ll come back to this topic at some point. 

You seen ice age 4 where the sirens lure in the characters by pretending they're someone they love? And how the mammoth realizes it's not his family when his wife says he's always right and she'd never say that? What would be the sentence that'd make your OTPs realize it's a siren and not the real thing? :OO

Oh, my God. I LOVE that idea! I hope others will do the same with their OTPs 😂

Odette would realize it's not the real Thrax when the siren says:

"I love you."

Because Thrax doesn't say that so directly. She can count on one hand how many times he's said those three words, not just to her, but in his entire LIFE. He shows it, doesn't tell it.

Thrax would realize it's not the real Odette when the siren says:

"Tell me I'm beautiful." or "You make me feel beautiful."

Odette knows she's beautiful and hates that particular compliment because men in her life have often treated her as beautiful decoration and nothing else.

Little Miss Perfect - SnowPunz Moodboard

I’ve had this idea in mind for SnowPunz for years. I even posted something about it here on Tumblr, but I’m too lazy to try and find it. I love these two, even if I don’t come up with as much for them compared to other ships.

This story mostly follows the “Little Miss Perfect” song, with Snow (or Flykra as she’s called in my modern AUs) and Rapunzel going to a private school. Rapunzel is the junior class president, while Flykra is the newest student in school, and the two first met when Punz is asked to show her around.

Now, Rapunzel is the daughter of the mayor (Frederic) and is always being told that anything she does could affect his image, at least by her stepmother, Gothel. And she’s president because of how well liked she is by the student body overall. But when Flykra comes into her life, it throws everything she knows into question.

I really love this song and these two fit the idea for it perfectly. Sure, Isastrid could fit it as well, but the roles here in this story works better for SnowPunz.

Isabela x Astrid - When The Stars Align Moodboard

Now I am not as well versed in moodboards as my friends @hiccanna-tidbits and @gryffindorkxdraws , but I really wanted to make one to reference each of my “main storylines” for each of my ships. Hiccanna and SnowPunz also have their own, but they will come here in time.

For this au, it’s the one that got me shipping Isastrid at OTP status. Now, I really love the noble/bodyguard trope, it’s one of my favorites. But at the core of it is two women coming to terms with their queer identities, Isabela specifically.

As the future queen of her country, there are a lot of rules and traditions for her to follow, so obviously her being interested in women should be “off the table.” Meanwhile Astrid is only seeing Isa on the surface and not the real woman underneath, so it does take time for the two of them to understand each other.

I really do love this ship a lot and I think they’re the only crossover ship of mine that could possibly rival Hiccanna.

In case you don’t follow me on Instagram (where I’m most active), I edited these two a couple months ago and they’re now one of my favorite crossover pairings.

The way I see SnowPunz’s story is Rap with her long hair and Red Shoes are the ones that they meet. But as they get more comfortable with one another, Snow takes off the shoes and Rap cuts her hair. I do plan on doing something with these two in the future but I don’t know when that will be.
