Fic Update: Here, Chapter Seven
“I,” Lance’s voice, quiet  as it was, sounded like a gunshot and Shiro was not the only one who startled as this was the first time Lance had spoken to them, as he looked up at Coran. “I killed you.”
“You tried to,” Coran gently corrected, not giving any indication he was thrown by both Lance’s sudden bout of speech nor his dark words. “But, and correct me if I am wrong, I do not think you wanted to do so.”
Lance’s jaw clenched and he looked down.
“I,” his throat bobbed, “I don’t know.”
“What does your heart tell you?” Coran asked softly.
Lance tensed but didn’t answer.
He was trembling again, Shiro noticed.
Next to him Hunk made a soft sound and carefully laid a hand on Lance’s shoulder…
And Lance relaxed ever so at the touch.
It gave Shiro hope.

Summary: [Third and final part to the Sniper trilogy] Voltron has rescued Lance but the person with them now is not the same boy they once knew. Even outside the Galrans’ influence Lance believes himself to be Sniper, an assassin to the Galra Empire with his final mission to eliminate Voltron. It’s going to be a long, difficult journey that they know won’t end even when Lance does remember them as then he’ll also remember all of the horrors he committed as Sniper and have to come to terms with what he did. But they do know they’ll be there for him every step of the way because Lance was gone, he’s been found and now he’s here, with his space family, to stay.

Go on, give the people (Me) what they want. We all know you have that Marie Chevalier content.
Anyway, I love her and would willingly spend money on any merchandise with her on it. I wouldn't even care if it was a png of her model, I would eat that shit up.

Fic Update: Here, Chapter Four
“He is planning something.”
Shiro was not the only one who turned to look at Coran, who was watching the monitor screen where Lance was now tipping the bowl of food goo and using two fingers to shovel it into his mouth, a heavy set to his face.
“He is planning something,” Coran repeated quietly, turning away from the screen.
“What do you mean, Coran?” Allura frowned.
“I felt it,” Coran’s hand lifted to press against his heart and Shiro’s eyes widened.
That’s right.
Coran had told him before that between his orange colored quintessence and the fact he was Altean he had the ability to read emotions.
And he…
He thought that…?
“He is still scared and confused,” Coran said, “make no mistake those are the forefront emotions he is projecting. But when I made mention that more food goo would be provided there was a flicker there. A flicker,” Coran’s expression was grim, “of not just focus but of killing intent.”
“An ambush,” Keith said bluntly, arms crossed.
Coran nodded. “I fear the same. He has made the realization that for food to be brought in a person will need to accompany it. And with that realization he has no doubt concluded therein lies his chance for not just to escape, but,” Coran swallowed, “to complete his mission.”
Which, given the events that occurred on Zlato, they could figure out what that was.
To kill them.
“He doesn’t have a weapon,” Pidge pointed out.
“And there’s the cuffs,” Hunk added, even as his gaze flicked back and forth, hands nestled inside one another. “They’d, they’d stop him.”
“They will stall him,” Shiro said quietly. “But they won’t stop him.”
He knew that better than anyone.
He’d fought Lance three times now and all three times…
He’d lost.
Lance was beyond dangerous and despite the fact he had no real weapons at his disposal that would not stop him.  He was a trained assassin and if he had moved on from the mindset of being a trapped prisoner then it meant he was contemplating his mission and how to finish it.
And that tenacity, Shiro knew, was not just from the conditioning. Lance didn’t give up and it was a trait the Galra had no doubt twisted for their own use.
“So we don’t give him the chance,” Keith said.

Meet "Spy".
Tumblr media
The most arrogant student in all of MANN high school and sixth form. Once he had a perfect life, over in France. Not an orphan, posh house, and perfect grades, and because of those perfect grades he was offered a chance to go over to England as an exchange student, which he obviously took. However, as soon as he got to the people he would be staying with, he soon realized that it was one of the worst opportunities that he had ever taken.
8 children, under one small roof, with only one familiar woman looking after them. He immediately clashed with the clan's youngest member a, then, 13-year-old boy called Jeremy. The pair often got into verbal spats whenever the younger boy's mother wasn't around.
However, despite them often fighting, the pair developed a sort of brotherly bond, with 'Spy' telling Jeremy long and intricate stories sometimes about things he's done in France, other times just to hit him with a 'your mom' joke. And sometimes Jeremy goes to 'Spy' for advice with the SAME SIXTH FORM GIRL.
'Spy' was only supposed to stay in England for his time in year 10, however, he made a special request to stay for an additional year, which his old school agreed with, as long as Ms. Sullivan was okay with it, and due to reasons still unknown, she was.
He's the second most mysterious student, second only to the 'Pyro', and that is primarily because we actually know that 'Spy' is human and speaks plain English, however, his identity is still unknown as he has never taken his hood off in front of someone and he always answers the register before his name is said.
Despite his posh exterior, he's partial to video games, especially a shooter game called 'Band Bastille 2.' He is an absolute sweat at it and is by far the best 'Infiltrator' player for miles. He even has a nemesis on the game who goes by the gamer tag 'ProfessionalwStandards', who primarily plays the 'Assassin' role, which he hates all player.s of but, and I quote, ", especially this so-called professional! He dares to say that he has standards!? All assassin players are just a bunch of pathetic lost souls who don't even know how to move their own characters!" - Spy, overheard at lunch, the other week.
Another one of his online activities that he loves to do is to get into arguments about the stupidest things. It could be about politics, a movie franchise he hasn't seen, or even basic trivia. Sometimes he purposely says the wrong thing, just to illicit a reaction from the person, and when the perfect time comes, he strikes and instead of putting an actual answer, he just puts the person's IP address and never looks at the conversation ever again.
Something that he just can't stand is vapes, and I quote, "Horrid, horrid things. With their dreadful flavours and stupid batteries. h, and do not even get me started on the braindead people who got the toilets permanently locked because they were using them there. I prefer to take my lung cancer the proper way with cigarettes!" -Spy again.

Jane 'Soldier' Doe: Apart from maybe Merasmus, 'Spy' is the only person to not put up with Jane's loud-mouthed attitude, saying "It wouldn't be tolerated in my old school, it won't be tolerated by me here."
Jeremy 'Scout' Sullivan: Read the first bit again, and then look me in the eyes and tell me you need this.
?? 'Pyro' ??: 'Spy' wonders what inhuman thoughts lie behind that mask, but more so he wonders how, even when he's in isolation, he can always be found by the creature.
Mikhail 'Heavy' Ivanov: They often talk about literature that they've read, meaning most of their conversations take place hidden behind bookshelves in the library making someone think the school is haunted!
Mun-dee 'Mick' 'Sniper' Mundy: Do not let these two exchange gamer tags. They're at each other's throats enough already.
F??? Pauling: 'Spy' is her go-to when getting advice for help with the gals
??? 'Ma' Sullivan: They both know and they know the other knows.
Tavish 'Demoman' Degroot and Ludwig 'Doc' Koch: Nothing too bad, they have pleasant chats

Meanwhile, somewhere in Liboli...
So I've been playing a bit of Tactical Breach Wizards, the third game in Tom Francis' Defenestration Trilogy (the others being Gunpoint and Heat Signature), and I've been really enjoying it. The writing is extremely hilarious, and I love the concept. Just a guy in a wizard hat decked out in operator gear, holding an M4 with an ACOG, except it's got a wizard staff where the barrel should be, it's great.
Thing is, I was expecting an XCOM-like, based on the screenshots that make it look like a turn-based tactical game. But it's actually more like a puzzle game disguised as a tactical game. And that's not bad, don't get me wrong. It allows the game to be far more narrative focused. Your units are actual characters with backstories who banter with each other, you're progressing an actual story, there's no base building or anything like that. The closest we get to a "home base" is the map board with photos and sticky notes attached to each other with colored string to help unravel the mystery.
Here's the problem: I am very dumb. Years of alcohol abuse does that to a motherfucker. And because this is more like a puzzle game instead of a proper tactics game, it kinda feels like there is a "correct" solution to every mission.
And I've hit a brick wall.
Tumblr media
I've been calling those big heavily armored dudes with the giant rifles Bulldozers, because that's who they remind me of, the fucking Bulldozers from Payday 2. There's four of them here, along with a sniper, and 2 reinforcement doors.
I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what the solution is here.
I'm only 2/3 of the way through Act 2. I've still got more than half a game left in front of me.
