It’s funny how I deem Ada to be my favorite mercenary to play as in RE4 Mercenaries mode, while HUNK was the one who helped me unlock two of the four maps there lmao
#bee bumbles#ada wins because 1) she's ada and 2) her build is the most versatile one there is#sniper rifle machine gun and fire grenade#i'm all set#HUNK only got a machine gun and regular grenades#which work but can be limited#i have the same cretique for leon's build as well as it having less firepower#wesker's build is interesting (it helped a lot in the castle but i haven't played him in the other maps yet)#good thing that the magnum gun is lethal tho#it would be an issue if it was just a sniper and a handgun#krauser on the other hand...#that's gotta be a no from me there#just not my cup of tea at all

vault cleaning takeaways
First, I used a complicated DIM search formula to clean out my armor (base stats <64, intellect >10, legendary non class item in my vault)
And that didn't do as much as usual because I've already taken out most of it and I'm about to have to get weird and even narrower with my shit
And I normally take my weapons to the basement on Mars for the free ammo to gun test, and let go the actual perk gameplay part of it. If I don't like shooting it, the perks don't matter
But I can't do that anymore, either, I won't clean out shit because I already know I like it, it's still in there.
Plus Ergo Sum needs testing against enemies.
So for real testing, I took a bunch of special/heavy weapons to Shuro Chi. Looking for wave clear with the ads, big damage for the knights, etc. and measure effectiveness. Can I use this sniper rifle in actual gameplay?
Some surprised me.
I have a couple of shotguns that can do wave clear with Incandescent or Chain Reaction, love that
I stay not liking SMGs. Fucking hate them. Pitch perfect gets a pass.
Auto rifles are also not my favorites, but I have a few I forgive.
Half of my Ergo Sum collection was trash
Rocket launchers are all the same until the rocket hits
Grenade launchers are all different even when it's the same archetype
Machine guns are machine guns and I love my 450s
I love the dual-fire special grenade launchers but they are useless.
repulsor brace+destabilizing rounds is busted.
I love glaives
~
There has often been a time where everything in Freija's pockets is solar. Six fucking energy weapons and five heavy and only one isn't solar and it's a drop from the last public event.
Because of this, I expected to find out that my vault was 40-50% solar, with the rest holding kinetic, strand, void, arc, and stasis split amongst them, I fully expected that one to dominate.
It's actually a fair split, except when void or arc were the top. The only weapon type that had more solar was heavy swords.

Tony Stark x Fem Reader
After being held captive for months, Tony works on a plan of escape with his two new found friends. It's a daring plan, and the three of them prepare to fight the odds, or die trying...
Warning: Mild coarse Language. Spoilers for Iron Man movie (first one).
Part 1
Author's Note: Thank you, and also my humblest apologies for the readers whom have waited for ages for, Part Two. The beginning of this year has been hectic, but hopefully the craziness is over and passed. And I can get on with more regular content. Thanks again guys, and really hope you enjoy Part 2. Want a Part 3? Let me know, and I promise the wait won't be ages. Enjoy!
"Come on..." Tony's voice gently tugged for your attention. His hand resting upon your shoulder, "we gotta move. There's still quite a long road ahead of us... it's not over yet."
Pulling you in gently, Tony rested his forehead against yours. "We made a promise to make it out of this hellhole."
Brushing a tear away from your cheek, Tony straightened his poster and pulled down the iron mask. Quickly checking the bullets remaining in your weapon, and adjusting the machine gun.
"Get behind me. Don't move or return fire until I say."
Your silent nod was all the confirmation he needed.
The whole camp took their positions before the opening of the cave. Nervous and twitchy hands hovered over the triggers of their weapons. Attempting to keep a stern expression, while the heavy echo of Tony's clanging iron suit came closer. Many wiped the sweat off their brows, as the harsh desert sun beamed down.
Soon as Tony came into their sights. No hesitation was made when the command to open fire filled the air. Raising an arm to shield his face from the sudden daylight as Tony emerged from the cave. Bullets came raining down in his direction, trying to make yourself as small as possible while hiding behind Tony. The sound of metal ricocheting off the iron suit made Tony's ears ring.
"Tony!"
"Not yet!" he shouted over the chaos. "Stay behind me! I've got this!"
Sparks flews off his iron suit. Small embers stung your skin as you tried to remain hidden behind Tony.
A few more seconds of gunfire continued to rain down, until their weapon barrels were empty. Surrounded by bullet shells at their feet, silence fell over, as the heavily armed men nervously waited for Tony's move...
Tony smiled underneath his iron helmet, "my turn..."
Peering over his shoulder, your eyes stung as the sudden heat from roaring flames emerged from Tony's suit. Fire soared from the gas tubes that were exposed underneath his wrist, holding out his arms as everything set a blaze around the two of you.
Carefully moving forwards towards the terrorists. You hid behind Tony again as the intense heat formed a sweat upon your brow.
Weapons. Creates. Tents. Everything was set alight
Gunpowder. Grenades. Small pieces of TNT caused explosions throughout the camp.
Your clutched onto the machine gun, as Tony moved forward. The terrorist ran, their shouts and screams filling the air as they too weren't safe from the flames.
Bullets once again rained down upon you, as the men reached their stationary guns and sniper rifles.
Stepping aside from the safety of your human shield of iron, you returned fire to cover Tony. The buzzing sound in your back pocket caused you to hide behind Tony, reaching in and pulling out a repurposed Nokia.
"Tony! You've got exactly eight more minutes, till your arc reactor stops powering the suit!"
"I'm making this as quick as I can, honey!" Tony strolled through the camp, continuing his rain of fire.
"Look out!"
Quickly taking a step behind Tony, bullets ricocheted off the iron suit as one of the men aimed their tactical gun at him. Raising an arm to defend himself from more bullets that came hammering from close range. The roaring flames provided little cover, as you attempted to return fire.
"I'm out of bullets!" as you threw the weapon aside, the sound of a bullet clogging the fine gears of the iron suit caught your attention. Your eyes widened as Tony fell down onto one knee. "Tony!"
More explosion erupted around you. Flames spreading everywhere, showing no signs of a clear way out.
"Put your arms around me!"
"What?!"
"Put your arms around me! And hold on tight!"
Throwing yourself onto Tony, wrapping your limbs around him as tightly as you could. Closing your eyes tightly, as Tony flipped two switches upon the inside of his arm, slamming a button down.
His suit rumbled and shook as a great force of power pushed him into the air. The ground swept away from your feet, wrapping your arms around his neck tighter as you hugged him from behind. You felt Tony grasp onto your limbs, as you screams deafened his ears.
As you rocketed upwards through the air, the camp erupted into flames. Explodesions ignited everything in their path, wiping the terrorist camp off the desert sands.
Half way through the air, the gas piping that redirected the fire to Tony's feet slowly begun to spit out. The roaring flames soon turned into useless ambers, before cutting out completely.
Your screams filled the air as you and Tony came crashing back down into earth. Bits of metal from the iron suit broke free, causing you to lose your grip.
"Y/N!"
"Tony!"
'Crash.' 'Clang.' 'Bang.'
Tony's body slammed against the harsh sand of the desert dune. Being buried waist high in sand, removing his helmet Tony released a heavy sigh. Gazing around at the pieces of scrap metal, wires and gears that scattered around him.
"Y/N! Y/N!"
Pushing the iron bracers away from his left hand, his blurry vision franticly gazed around.
"Y/N! Where are you?"
Loud ringing echoed in his ears. A pounding throbbed against his temples.
I couldn't of lost her! We've come too far to be separated now!
"Come on darling! Speak to me!"
"Here! I'm here, Tony!" you shouted, as you crawled to the top of the sand dune. "You crazy motherfucker!"
Tony attempted to laugh, but he only coughed and spluttered. Taking off more parts of the suit, you begun to dig Tony out of the sand.
"Any injuries?"
Tony groaned as you pulled him onto his feet, "besides a broken shoulder... fine. What about you?"
You smiled as he cupped your face. "I'm swore and in a lot of pain... but I think I should be fine."
Slowly stepping away, Tony took your hand in his. "Well... we're together now. No matter what, nothing's gonna hurt you while I'm around..."
It felt like hours as the pair of you slugged through the sands. The heat of the sun becoming more unbearable with each passing minute. Your sun turned a bright red, and the salty sweat dripping from your brow stung your eyes.
"Tony..." your voice was weak, bearly a whisper. "Tony... I-I can't..."
He wrapped an arm around your waist, using the remaining strength he had to keep you upright, and close to him.
"Yes... you can." his dry voice sounded just as dehydrated as yours. "We'll get through this..."
All you could do was flash him a weak smile, before you eyes rolled into the back of your head. Tony called out for you, as he felt your body go limp.
Just as his knees knelt against the sand. The roar of a helicopter hovered over his head, kicking up sand dust into his eyes. Tony raised his hand above his head, holding up a peace sign as he tried to shout over the machine.
A wave of relief washed over him, as Rhodey jumped out of the helicopter once it landed. His old friend rushed over, fully armed and equipped in US military tactical gear. Escorted by four of his loyal soldiers.
"How was the 'fun-vee?"
Tony chuckled at Rhodey's sarcastic remark.
Rhodey knelt down, placing a hand upon Tony's shoulder. "Next time you ride with me, okay?" he looked down at you, as you laid passed out in Tony's arms.
"She needs help."
"Safe your breath, my friend. Lieutenant!" Rhodey glanced over his shoulder, looking up at one of his men.
"Sir!"
"Assist Mr Stark back to the helicopter. I'll carry... our new friend..."
The lieutenant took Tony's arm, placing it around his shoulders and helping him onto his feet. While Rhodey gently scooped you up into his arms.
"Tony?..." your fluttered open, but your vision was too blurry to see anything.
"Shh..." Rhodey cooed. "I've got you, Miss. You and Tony are safe now..."

I love Warframe, so much.
The super fluid, only touch the ground to start another parkour sequence, the floor is lava, bouncing off walls and flying across rooms and down hallways style of movement.
The >utterly overwhelming< number of weapons available. Primaries range from bows (Paris, Dread) to rocket launchers (ogris) grenade launchers (penta, tonkor), a handheld laser cannon (opticor), spicy bows (Lenz and Bramma are both rocket launchers cosplaying as bows), an 18th century naval cannon (zarr), machine guns with a 200 round magazine (soma prime) and machine guns that get more accurate the longer you fire (Tenora my beloved), innately suppressed smg (baza). You want a chaining lightning gun that will kill the guy you’re aiming at, and the next two rooms of people via daisy chains? Amprex. if you need a tactical weapon for grouping enemies the Mutalist cernos shoots an arrow full of grabby tentacles that brings enemies together for group hugs. Do you need a rifle to hunt cthulu T-Rexes (eidolons)? Rubico (Prime) or, my favorite, Kuva Chakkhurr - a black powder musket that shoots moderately slow projectiles, high skill high reward, you land a shot, it’s gonna feel it. Here’s a goody - Tigris (Prime) - it’s a double barreled shotgun, with a duplex trigger - you squeeze the trigger, it fires one round, you release the trigger, it fires the second! really interesting to play with, though with the changes to shotgun status a few years ago it’s no longer the powerhouse it was, though quite potent. Phenmor is also one of my favorites, a precision semi auto rifle, land a couple headshots to charge it, and it evolves into an archgun (gun for mecha or exosuits, bigger, and badder) that’s basically a minigun. Corinth (prime) is cool, primary fire is crit based shotgun, alt fire shoots an air burst grenade you can manually detonate over enemies heads (prime version, regular corinth is locked at 20m detonation). Kohm is an auto shotgun that spoils up like a minigun, the higher the spool the more pellets it shoots, very ammo hungry, but man if it isn’t satisfying to point down a hallway and watch it fill with red mist. Astilla is a shotgun that shoots glass slugs that explode on impact. Arcs Plasmor shoots solid walls of energy. like straight up, point down hallway, and you shoot a bright blue (ur energy color) brick wall of plasma. you can’t miss. Simulor is a gun that shoots miniature black holes. Trumna charges it’s alt fire with the literal souls of the enemies you kill. Shedu and Bubonico are the weapon arm cannons of sentient (enemy robot faction) that we ripped off and stole.
secondaries are have a bit less variety, but we’ve still got oodles of goodies
Pandero, a pocket sniper rifle, this lil handcannon is hella accurate for reaching out to touch someone, and alt fire dumps the entire magazine in an automatic burst. Laetum is the cooler pandero, land a few headshots and it evolves into an automatic assault rifle. Lex (Prime) was my starchart clearing gun, back in the day. space deagle. Nukor (and it’s cooler older sister Kuva Nukor (Kukor)) are similar to the amprex in that they chain to enemies, however they also have the quirk of having the highest critical damage in the game, with the lowest critical chance. (there’s shenanigans you can do to force them to crit, making them devestating). Pyrana (Prime) is an auto shotgun, it’s got high spread and high rate of fire, but get in their face and drop mag and see the magic. Zakti (Prime) shoots small needles that explode in clouds of aoe gas after a moment, really good for priming status effects and swapping to melee or primary to take advantage of. Euphona Prime - look, i love it, it’s not great, you gotta build it exclusively for the slug firemode or for the shotgun fire mode. it’s really cool, you should try it if you can, but it’s solidly just okay. Sepulcrum feeds on the souls of its victims to power its alt fire, and it’s just a massive beefy fuckin pistol straight out of 40K. Tenet Spirex force procs impact, and with the hemorrhage mod you can guarantee you turn some of those impact procs into bleed procs for DOT damage. Athodai is straight up like retro sci-fi laser pistol, it shoots beams, and alt fire has a big burst of energy aoe in front of you. Twin Kohmak are like the kohm, but smaller, and akimbo, for pocket dakka. Twin Grakata MOAR DAKKA. A beloved meme gun in the warframe community. just two fuckin bullet hoses that will eat your ammo faster than you can find it. truly one of the guns of all time, and a joy to fire.
and don’t think for a moment i’m going to forget about melees lmao.
we got Nikanas (space katana - nikana (prime) , skiajati ), we got greatswords(Gram (prime), Galatine (prime)), we got throwing glaives(Glaive(prime) Xoris), we got gun blades (like think those bizarre renaissance era swords with guns built into the hilts? got it? yeah, those, but space-y. redeemer (prime), sarpa), we have claws (venka) , we have sword & board (silva & aegis) scythes (reaper prime), hammers (heliocor, jat kittag), dual blades up the wazoo, single daggers, dual daggers, fist weapons, fist and feet weapons, war fans (quassus, arum spinosa), staves (Bo, pupacyst), tonfa (kronen), a gigantic saw (ghoulsaw), rapiers (endura, ), blade & whips (atterax, lacera)
#warframe#long post#totally normal about this game#also i own almost every weapon#i’m missing the most recent 5

365: April 4
I've had this one in my head for a WHILE. I knew exactly what the last line of this fic would be for like 8 months? Chef's kiss. Perfection. No notes.
----
Shaxx always had a way to make any play no matter how small feel like the biggest deal in the world. It had taken Shin a long time to warm up to Crucible but now it was one of the few things that got his heart pumping in the City. Sure wasn't the typical company. Shaxx was in peak form for this match. Maybe even yelling more than usual. The score board at the top of Shin's HUD showed him in second place. It'd been there all game. Every game today for his skill bracket. He hadn't come in second so much since he'd started playing. First place's name was displayed in an acronym; BOC. Bane of Crota.
Shin was at the top of the skill brackets in Crucible and apparently so was she because they always ended up in the same game. There were Guardians of Shin's skill but they didn't always play every day. It was the middle of the winter season and a lot of Guardians took off for the Dawning.
Every death on Shin's day was to her and she was ruthless.
Sometimes it felt like he could barely get the Word up in time for her to land a close range sniper shot to his head. Or he found her knife in his jugular. Or he was evaporated by a fusion rifle. Or they had a gun fight across a lane and she just out shot him. But she had his number. It wasn't even just him. The next place below him trailed by eight points and in the corner of his HUD Shin's kill feed was filled with BOC. Each time the name popped up Shaxx boomed over the arena's sound system in excitement.
A knife whizzed by his face and he rolled out of the way and behind some cover. Shit. He'd been distracted. Not thinking about the game. Thinking about the score.
He opened the Word with a flick of his wrist and reloaded, snapping it closed even as gunfire sounded from around the cover. His eyes were glued to his radar. There was some red a ways away but the most pressing was the one on the other side of his cover who was engaging with someone on the other side of the map. He'd already learned the sound of BOC's slick black sniper that looked like the Thorn's long lost sibling. Damn thing seemed to never run out of bullets.
He rolled out from cover, tracking her with his radar more than his eyes and his hand knew how to get his iron sights lined up just right for this sort of situation. He fan fired the Word faster than she could react and he let out a puff of breath. Almost relief. He'd gotten some kills on her but he knew this one was only because she was distracted down range. He'd take it.
Shaxx excitement boomed across the arena and he vaguely heard something like 'more grenades'. Yeah. Shaxx's entire personality could be summed up like that honestly. Shin was already on the path for the next Guardian.
He clashed with the BOC a few more times that game. She was so good it was annoying. He started bitching about it over general comms. General comms were for trash talking after all and the only thing more disrespectful than it was doing a pose or dance on someone's corpse for the cameras. He wasn't the only one in there and once he switched over he heard a few grumblings about getting killed.
Shin just cussed her out every time she got him. Which was often. It felt like the game should have ended by now. He was grateful when it did and the score said he was still in second. It was the last Rumble game for his bracket today so he was out for the rest of the day. He barely waited for his stupid tokens. Best thing he could get was a handful of shards.
The next day was the same. And the entire time the BOC was a stoic, ruthless, machine that didn't even seem to take pleasure in a game well played. That irritated Shin the most. That day there were also some guys playing he was acquainted with and they trash talked games they played together. The BOC never did. Even when they shit talked her. Or at least; Shin shit talked her.
The last game of the day he wasn't even second now. He couldn't stay alive for anything. Every time he found himself back on his feet he'd move twenty feet and the BOC was right there as a scope glint in the distance or a well placed hand canon bullet that shredded him. It was the first time he'd ever seen his name near the bottom of the score board in centuries.
There wasn't much time left in the game when he respawned and tried to be ready for the inevitable. There was the BOC, running at him coated in Arc Light, knives in both hands. He shot her but it was like she barely noticed. He backed away as best he could. Her Light sparked out feet from him but she didn't check herself. Shin readied a knife but he wasn't expecting her to slide along the ground and slam into his knees and he was thrown back. "Lady what is your problem!" he shouted over general comms as he found himself on his ass and the BOC above him. Her armor was weathered and displayed the garish facade of a Hive's flesh stretched across her mask, covered in spikes and barnacles with a cape that could have been ripped off a Wizard's flayed body.
She looked down at him and cocked the alien created helmet at him. "You just annoy me," she said and it was the first thing she'd ever said to him since they'd bumped into each other at the Hall of the Vanguard.
Then she shot him in the head.

Remember when i tried analyzing different iterations of Doom's demons?
I thought about doing the same for the weapons, even if there's things that are either too obvious or easy to miss.
There's obvious things like D3 giving most of them reloading or 2016/Eternal adding alt fires but also less known things like the recently leaked D64 early sprites, the SSG in D64 having a pushback, D64 chainsaw being faster, D3ROE Xbox gives the pistol a lantern, 2016’s Plasma Rifle having a bit more damage/less ammo useage than Eternal’s or how some Plasma projectile/Rockets may have smaller radius than in older iterations.
(There's also the upgrades in 2016/Eternal to make things more complicated... i hope i don't think i'll have to mention Mighty Doom's upgrades or very specific RPG stuff)
And while the demons post was mostly D1/2 originating stuff, i made the weapons based post also include stuff like grenades or machine/chainguns and “rail gun” esque guns.
(And the Unmaker vs Unmaykr)
Probably because “modern” weapons having iterations is a bit more likely than later demons having more iterations.
Because “adding enough good info” is a focus, i’d obviously try to look for other people’s analysis and prespectives just for the sake of adding the right info.
Another thing is “honorable mentions” like the unused Doom rifles mentioned in the assault rifle section, Holy Water Pistol and Eternal’s cut pistol, 2016 MP’s Grenade Launcher and other “rail-gun” esque guns or even the sniper rifle in D2RPG.
Anyway, let's see how much trivia i can add:
Fists:
Doomguy's hands always had their own slot and were basic melee attacks, with Berserk giving a damage boost and lasting until the level ends.
He had brass knuckles in his left hand but people forget this.
(And despite being silent, they still alert enemies)
D3's fists are kinda similar but Berserk makes them more devastating (Pretty sure they even lock the player into this, while making you faster and invulnerable) and are temporary while you hear screams and have a weird blurry thing in your vision.
And the D3 marine's hands are naked (While the RoE engineer gets his hands decomposed by the Artifact lol).
2016/Eternal make them a dedicated button (One has a generic "gun butt" animation and the other finally uses a fist) and Berserk is obviously more devastating.
The main thing here is the Glory Kill mechanic and Eternal then adds in the Blood Punch.
Eternal's default fist is weak but it's still strong enough to break cracks in walls i guess.
I think in early versions of Doom, there could've been a knife but we all know about the rifle bayonet blades.
Honorable mention? Even D3's flash light was kind of a melee weapon.
And of course: Doomguy is left handed (Or actually uses both hands).
Chainsaw:
Starts off as a basic "brrrrr" melee weapon (Which doesn't have a "knockback" effect on killed enemies like other weapons do) that can kinda stunlock enemies.
In vanilla Doom, i think the Chainsaw replaces the Fist unless you pick up Berserk (Please don't tell me this is another Mandela effect situation).
D64's is faster and has a unique double blade design (And eventually the Doom Hunter carries a tribute to it).
D3 is almost like the classic in 3D (And from what i recall, was devastating).
2016/Eternal make it rely on fuel tanks and instakill enemies for ammo pickups with cool animations, though Eternal also gives it one rechargeable pip for the sake of fodder enemies.
But there's different levels of how much fuel is required based on enemy categories.
Almost every 2016 enemy can be chainsawed but Eternal prevents chainsaw use over super heavies, bosses and most ambient except Tentacles.
(They also make it tied to a dedicated button)
In D2RPG, you could use this to destroy corpses for stuff and the previous RPG game had an axe.
Honorable mentions? Crucible and Sentinel Hammer kinda.
Pistol:
Doom's starter weapon, which is serviceable enough until you find other/enough weapons.
In D3 it was alright since i'm pretty sure it had seperate bullet ammo from the Assault Rifle and Chaingun (Each had their own ammo i think?).
Xbox version of RoE also attachs a lantern to it.
2016 makes it a unique laser gun with infinite ammo whose shots can be charged and upgraded to deal more damage (And the MP had another laser pistol but red).
Eternal had its pistol cut, even thought it has a cool "repeater"-like fire that made it seem satisfying.
Honorable mention: The Holy Water Pistol from D2RPG which scares most demons, can be refilled from some water sources and can even heal the player.
Assault Rifle/Machinegun:
From the iconic box art, to Doomguy and Zombieman's sprites to the unused variations of rifles in the alpha/beta versions, this idea was destined for Doom.
D3 finally had an assault rifle and it was alright, even had an ammo counter screen and a sound effect/signal/feedback for when ammo in a clip is low.
2016 adds one that sort of fills the classic Chaingun role and can be upgraded with Micro Missiles (Whose no-reload upgrade makes a great combo with the Rich Get Richer rune) and Tactical Scope (Whose upgrades are more damage, faster movement and piercing enemies).
As for Eternal's Heavy Cannon: Percision Bolt can lead to explosive headshots and its Micro Missiles will obviously have more damage/less time based stuff but even Heavy Cannon kills lead to a temporary Micro Missible buff with Primary Charger).
Honorable mention? I think 2016's files has an unused Nail-gun somewhere, as a cut weapon.
Also, the Burst Rifle/Repeater from 2016 MP.
Visually? Heavy Cannon is red and looks huge but D3 has the tiny screen counting ammo.
Chaingun:
Its design was probably inspired by the similar weapon in Wolfenstein 3D and it took until D3 for the Assault Rifle to become the basic bullet firing weapon while the "Chaingun" becomes more akin to what Quake 2 introduced.
In the classics, it's a basic fast firing weapon whose first shot or two can be accurate, hence why people use it to snipe enemies or shootable switches.
Though naturally, it gets less accurate the further you are from your targets.
D3 added both reloading and a wind up mechanic (Both being present seems a bit too much but at least the damage it delt was fine).
2016 still has wind up but it kinda shoots within that part, while Eternal gets rid of it (Though in E3 2019, i think it still had wind down after firing) and paints its bullets blue for fun.
2016 has the Gatling Rotator (Which can be upgraded to be incendiary i think) while Eternal has the Energy Shield.
Mobile Turret is 3 barrels in 2016 and 4 in Eternal (And Eternal's version can be upgraded to let you move faster).
Ammo is technically required to use Eternal CG's Energy Shield, but it's cool that this feature can even become a projectile.
Visuals, the Eternal chaingun looks like it shoots energy but the 64 one also has those holes in the barrels and shot blue first.
Combat Shotgun:
In early sprites, the end of the barrel had a "thick ring" like thing around it.
A basic weapon that seems to be consistent.
D64 has no proper reloading animation.
D3's iteration is infamous for its spread and damage output.
2016 is recovered from the cancelled Doom 4.
Its alt fires are the explosive shot (When fully upgraded, there's cluster bombs it seems) and Charged Burst (When fully upgraded, if you succeed on this triple fire then the next fire will deal more damage i guess).
Eternal replaces these with the Sticky Bomb (Its capacity is later increased to 5) and Full Auto (It can reach a point where it makes enemies drop shells and increase movement speed).
Eternal SG's Full Auto could've had a "Rapid Hit Scale" feature.
I like how Eternal's design is more "honest" about its alt fires.
Super Shotgun:
In pre-release versions, there's an unused design that even had a frame similar to one of the base SG's reloading frames.
Classic SSG has vertical spread while base SG doesn't.
RoE brings back the SSG which was absent from the main game and i guess it was alright, sort of compensating for the main SG (And because the SSG's workings, it's like one of the few weapons that technically has no "reloading").
Eternal's is obviously the most unique one, from its Sentinel design to the meathook (And its Flaming Hook upgrade).
2016 looked out of place in a setting with very advanced tech, which is a contrast to older SSG's fitting the low tech aspect of Doom's future.
And 2016 could've also been upgraded to shoot really fast and penetrate enemies that even the "shoot one shell at a time" mode of firing becomes OP.
Meanwhile, D64's kinda had a pushback effect on you and again, no proper reloading animation.
And i guess the PS1 port made it look ugly but then the Final Doom PS1 port fixed it.
Rocket Launcher:
In some early versions, there was an unused sprite for a sideways "missile launcher".
The classic RL fired in a fast enough pace and later versions fire rockets in a slower speed.
In some cases, you can "rocket jump" to push yourself to a different place but then there's the infinite height stuff to consider (For better or worse, depending on the situation).
In vanilla Doom, if you use the wallrun bug to outrun your rockets, they go through you.
D64's RL can also kinda push the player back like the SSG in the same game.
I also think D64's rockets spawn a bit differently from the player compared to the D1/2 version.
2016 is slow but introduces Lock-On Burst and Remote Detonation.
One can be upgraded to reach multitargeting and the other can make detonated rockets drop pieces of sharpnel and even not destroy the rockets in this mode.
For Eternal's versions: One gets feedback to indicate proximity and can falter enemies, while the other also has a multitarget sort of thing.
I think Lock-On Burst also has differences in each game, where one has rockets deal less damage but the other doesn't.
Eternal's RL also has the projectile coming from the RL's model itself, which i think was discovered by BloodShot9001 in a video.
Eternal's is the most unique visually because of its Cultist/open chamber design and even its rockets have a different skin compared to the ones in the rocket ammo pickup.
I think Eternal also has a smaller radius for its rocket projectile compared to classsic Doom.
Grenades:
I like the look of D3 grenades because of how low-tech they look.
They have the typical "bounce of walls/floors but instantly explode when touching enemies" idea as expected.
They also have a bit of a timer so you can throw them a little later to time your attacks.
(I think they're based off Q2 grenades)
2016's Frag Grenade looks a bit more like a sci-fi M67 but it works as a side item and it can slap enemies before exploding.
And Inventory items can recharge, even if there's still pickups.
Eternal's Frag Grenades are sphere shaped (Which means different physics) and can be used without interruption thanks to the shoulder based Equipment Launcher.
Upgrades include decreased cooldown, faltering effect, making enemies drop scatter bombs and a double fire before recharge.
Honorable mention: The Grenade Launcher from 2016 multiplayer.
And i guess all those other inventory items in both games (MP included) and the fact that Eternal has an unused double Equip Launcher upgrade.
Plasma Rifle:
In early versions, it could shot green stuff instead of blue.
The classic one kinda stands out because of the "recoil" frame that blocks you from shooting when you stop firing.
With how this weapon changed over time, there's the subtle difference between the speed of the projectiles being fired and how fast the projectiles travel.
This might be why people think that in 2016/Eternal it deals less damage even if i'm pretty sure both these recent versions added a subtle splash damage on enemies (And Eternal makes them visually pop).
2016's PR has a faster fire rate than Eternal's, bigger maximum capacity and might do more damage.
2016 PR has a Stun Bomb and Eternal has the Microwave Beam, which was originally going to let you heat up more than one enemy at once.
(Though i think the same beam can hurt another enemy while focused on one you locked it on)
I like how Eternal's Heat Blast can heat up projectiles after use but i think 2016's Heat Blast had a 360 radius damage around the player, so i kinda like that too.
Eternal's Heat Blast also has different levels of power depending on how much you charge it up.
Also note how in some games, projectiles look shiny but in others look like bubbles or something: Do people care about these specific visual differences?
D64's was slower and had an energy tube that made noise while D3's looked weird i guess.
Ballista/Gauss Cannon:
One's a UAC creation and the other is of Sentinel origin, but both are like Doom's take on the Quake rail-gun (There's also 2 other weapons like this in 2016's multiplayer).
Also: Gauss/Ballista jumping is a thing.
People say the Gauss cannon feels more powerfull but to be fair, the Ballista has more unique alt fires.
Both Gauss cannon alt fires feel like "wait until the shot deals more damage and some upgrades enable faster movement" while Arbalist is an exploding dart (Can be upgraded to let you fire the next one in less time) and Destroyer Blade is a powerfull horizontal spread projectile (Its upgrades are pretty much "more damage" and also a bit of falter on enemies).
Honorable mention? D2RPG had a sniper rifle which could deal great damage with headshots but would also wobble around for added difficulty.
BFG9000:
The iconic big gun with the funny name and based off toys (Like some of the others).
Originally meant to shoot "Christmas Lights" that bounced off ceilings/floors, it instead shoots a green projectile that does damage while an invisible tracer system is activated from the player's view and enemies are hit by it if the player is aimed at where the projectile hits.
All this time, this iconic weapon was more of a weird silent shotgun.
Its design also displays 2 things in the upper back area that make it seem like you have to attach it to your shoulders.
D64's variation looks different and is slightly slower but still mostly the same.
D3 redesigns the weapon not just visually but also mechanically, with one example being having unique ammo instead of plasma cells.
And its projectiles have proximity damaging tendrils taken from Quake 2.
You can also not only reload it but charge its projectile, though if you charge for too long, the weapon can explode and kill you.
(There's also the electric chip inside the projectile and the Sabaoth)
2016 simplifies what D3 introduced and gives it its own dedicated button, so it's more of a "panic button" sort of thing.
And its design is clearly inspired by the 2005 movie.
(I think 2016's BFG was originally going to have mods like the other weapons, like a flamethrower attack or the BFG10K from Quake 3)
Eternal's iteration looks different (And is now part of the weapon wheel) but it's still mostly there.
Something i thought about was how you never really see the front of the "classic" style BFG except in D2RPG, That one Symbiote Doomguy doll, Fallout 4's Creation Club Doom thing and i guess Rage 2.
Honorable mention? 2016 multiplayer's Tesla Rocket and i guess the BFG grenade from Doom VFR.
Unmaker/Unmaykr:
One from Hell, the other from Urdak.
And one also uses cell ammo while the other shares ammo with the BFG.
Unmaker starts off weak but is upgraded to fire faster and more shots (Same keys used to shut down those portals in the Mother Demon's stage) while the Unmaykr is already the way it is but requires Empyrean keys from Slayer Gate arenas.
Unmaker is actually hitscan so its "projectiles" are just a visual effect.
I think the reason why the Unmaykr isn't as liked is because of the arena format with mobile enemies, whereas the Unmaker is still part of the classic format where enemies aren't as mobile/smart and because of D64's encounters, a fully upgraded Unmaker can surpass the BFG9000.
(But in situations with less space for the BFG tendrils and some encounters with super heavies, you might end up giving the Unmaykr a chance)
And the Unmaker is blatantly Hellish while the Unmaykr looks like another sci-fi gun because of Urdak's aesthetic: If Urdak had more to its theme or if Doom has a different type of Heaven, i guess this weapon could've looked even more "Christian" than the Holy Water Pistol.
Honorable mention? 2016 MP's reaper i guess.
And also the Dark Claw from the Doom Bible.
Of course, never forget the original Unmaker from the same document that was supposed to hurt pure demons the most, former humans the least and cybernetic demons partially.
Edit: It's also worth mentioning that "Unmaker" is a name from the Doom bible while in the D64 files, the gun is called something akin to "Laser gun" and there's a screenshot of early D64 and a leaked sprite that suggest an early design of the weapon: Which looks like a flamethrower somehow.
Soul Cube:
Because it also shows up in D2RPG and has a different design in it (Is it from the same lore? I dunno).
But does it heal you in D2RPG? I also dunno lol.
Honorable mentions? I guess the Siphon Grenade from 2016 and the RoE Artifact.
Extinguisher:
Yes it was in 2 games: DRPG and Doom VFR and in both it's used to put out fires.
Though in DRPG it's part of the arsenal and in VFR it's used like once i think.
Anyway:
This didn't turn out as good as the demons one, because weapons are a different area.
There's still areas/data i overlooked like ammo pickups amount and how the player automatically switches to another gun in certain cases.
Or stuff outright wrong and misremembered.
Maybe i could update this post to add more info, who knows.

"
I toss down a disc of nanobots that quickly assembles itself into a squad beacon, sending its beam of light up from the balcony of the building I’m in and into the sky, before looking through the scope of my sniper rifle. A squadmate, Ultra Rare, is trying to 1v1 an assault trooper using only her knuckleblades, and I sigh wistfully; we used to be an item before I accidentally got her demoted. I fire a shot, miss terribly, and am immediately targeted by the assault trooper’s team and ripped to shreds by machine gun fire.
Reassembled in orbit, switching from a force recon loadout to that of an engineer, I crash onto the balcony in a drop pod next to the beacon and the nanodust that was the smear I left behind. I exchange greetings and a salute with another squadmate – “Butler.” “Setback.” – who walked into the room while I was dead, and I look down into the courtyard. An enemy mech is literally stomping all over an allied squad – what a bunch of blueberries. I raise my anti-materiel rifle and blast off one of its arms – and am splattered across the wall behind me by the weapons in its other one.
I’m considering another drop pod, when suddenly I schlorp back together, on the ground next to Goblin, who apparently got splattered as well at some point. Between us is a spent revive grenade, and standing over us is Butler. More salutes, more greetings. “Setback. Goblin.” “Butler.”
Just another day on PLANET FIST."

Adorned to the hunting armor as a necklace were the teeth, claws, talons, fangs, tusks, horns, & saber teeth of the humanoids, animals, creatures, & beasts they killed as proof of their hunting prowess. The armor was also decorated with the mammalian fur, reptilian scales, & avian feathers of the game they found while hunting.
Ivory and scarlet combat armor
Charcoal and cherry power armor. The Mark 10 Mars/Ares Combat Armor is a technologically advanced combat exoskeleton system designed to vastly improve the strength, perception, endurance, intelligence, agility, reflexes, speed, & durability of a metahuman or superhuman super soldier in the field of combat. The armor is streamlined than its bulkier and heavier predecessors. The power armor is the most advanced piece of tactical military hardware in alien or human hands. The powered armor is commonly personalized by suit art on the power armor and visor art on the power armor helmet. It is an attempt to create a powered exoskeleton capable of taking full advantage of the physical, mental, & emotional capabilities of a demigod or alien hybrid. The armor requires training to enter, use, & take off. Spanning over centuries of development it encompassed more than just a powered suit of armor. It is a pioneering effort intended to shatter current technological barriers. With constant drills metahuman and superhuman super soldiers can enter and exit the armor in minutes. The powered armor is a highly advanced suit capable of further enhancing the metahuman’s or superhumans' physical, mental, & emotional performance while also doubling as a platform capable of handling an advanced human or alien artificial intelligence network. Some suits allowed the helmet and surrounding segments to be removed and replaced allowing a user to simply climb in through the opening in the chest or back cavity. A more involved method consisted of the suit being constructed from prefabricated parts around the user, seemingly sealing the user inside. Unlike the powered exoskeletons that preceded it, the power armor was designed from the ground up as a suit of armor. It requires a team of trained engineers, inventors, & technicians to fully take off the suit of power armor from power armor. Its design philosophy would serve as a basis for all future powered armor system designs. However you can remove parts of the armor in emergencies to repair the armor or to customize or upgrade the power armor. Each generation of the power armor is composed of major fundamental components. The power armor has built in 7. 76 mm ballistic, plasma, & energy machine guns and 40 mm grenade launchers in the shoulder of the power armor. The construction of the suit is done in overlapping layers. An interactive holographic computer has also been integrated into the helmet with an intuitive HUD. The armor's shell is composed of a multilayer alloy of remarkable strength and has been augmented with a refractive and absorbing coating capable of dispersing and absorbing a near unlimited amount of ballistic, laser, energy, plasma, & magical weapon strikes. The power armor absorbs and reflects the kinetic energy of incoming ballistic, energy, laser, & plasma projectiles. It can also absorb other damaging forces such as hazardous levels of heat, radiation and microwaves. Effectively making the user temporarily invulnerable. The suit contains a gel filled layer underneath a thick black and white armored bodysuit. The gel layer regulates temperature. The inner skinsuit is made of a moisture absorbing synthetic material linked to an environment control computer and the occupant's neural mental and emotional interface. The user is healed by nanites and the power armor is repaired by nanomachines. The battle suit is a sealed system, capable of extra vehicular activity for a near unlimited amount of time or operations in dangerous situations such as underwater, in the vacuum of space, in radioactive areas, in deserts or jungles with extreme heat, or arctic tundra with extreme cold. The suit can reflect or absorb the electromagnetic spectrum including radio waves, gamma waves, & microwaves to make the user invisible for a short time to enemies. It is hardened against EMPs, radiation, & microwaves. It has filters that are completely effective at removing toxins, germs, radiation, bacteria, poison, & viruses. The power armor is a powerful and extremely versatile set of tactical power armor. The visor of the power armor allows the super soldier to sense the entire electromagnetic spectrum. The battle suit's greatest advantage, however, is a super dense optical computer memory. This revolutionary solid-based crystalline layer forms a network within the suit's frame of proper size and capability of housing the types of smart alien and human artificial intelligences. Artificial Intelligence can be delivered to the suit via a data crystal chip storage device no bigger than a smartphone. Reverse engineered from alien and human technology leading to drastically enhanced combat and physical, intellectual, & emotional performance. Allowing the operator to execute superhuman feats. The functionality of the battle armor system is unprecedented. The power armor suit suppresses the user’s noise allowing them to sneak past enemies when crouched or crawling. Rather than being a traditional suit of body armor the battle suit works on a biomechanical level. Allowing for direct user-controlled movement. Each human being has a molecular fiber network called the nervous system within their brain. All alien superhuman and human metahuman super soldiers are given a neural interface. The suit also possesses other features that enhance its wearer's already superhuman or supernatural abilities. It has numerous clips, belts, and holsters for the attachment of additional weapons and ammunition. It has an advanced HUD or heads up display. It has active camouflage. It has plasma shields and energy shields. It allows for customization and upgrading. It lets users connect the power armor with their cyberware implants and bionic enhancements. It has a jetpack on the back of the armor and the armor’s power armor boots for hovering or flight. It has room for storage of extra supplies of food and water. It has an oxygen tank to breathe in space or underwater. It is powered by gas, electricity, steam, or nuclear power. It has a built-in battery that can be recharged. It has plating on the face, neck, chest, back, arms, & legs.
He/she/they wore charcoal and ruby military class heavy assault Iuyamian combat armor and power armor that were both made out of alien metal materials stronger than Wakandan vibranium the metal that made up the suit of the Black Panther (T’challa), adamantium the metal that made the metal claws of Wolverine (James Howlett Logan) and Sabertooth (Victor Creed), & nth metal. The Iuyamian armor tempered with celestial steel and stellar titanium had a gorget (that protects the chest), a bevor (protecting the lower face, neck, chin, & throat) a breastplate or chestplate (that protects the chest), backplate, pauldrons (that protect the shoulders), plackart (that protected the lower half of the torso), cuirass (that protected the front of the torso), culet (that protects the small of back and the buttocks), couters (that protects the elbows), poleyns (that protected the knees), faulds (to protect the waist and hips), gauntlets (that protect the forearms to the hands), gardbraces (to protect the armpits), vambraces (that protect the elbow to the forearm), sabatons (that protect the feet), cuisses (to protect the thighs), tassat (that protect the groin, upper thighs, & pelvis), & greaves (that covered from the shin to the knee). The power armor helmet was designed with a sharper temple, with a metallic shine, a full curved ridge, a definite brow, a prominent muzzle, & a solitary dark cambion glowing visor with two eye holes. The power armor helmet was also designed with a dark umber and dark scarlet color, a faintly more skeletal look, & it had distinct cheeks. The power armor helmet had claw marks going above its left eye to the bottom of its left cheek. The claw marks were from a female were-human who is someone who is powerful as King Shark, Wolverine, Beast, Sabertooth, Juggernaut, Orca, Killer Croc, The Shark, Gorilla Grodd, Copperhead, Monsieur Mallah, Manbat, Bane, & Cheetah combined. This dangerous were-human was armed with gauntlets with serrated diamond tipped metal claws made of a metal stronger than nth metal coated in element x. Cardinal Changeling barely defeated her in their Hybrid/Chimera or Beast/Feral/Primal form. Instead of repairing it, Scarlet Shapeshifer kept the claw marks as proof of their battle out of respect. The power armor helmet was designed with numerous Iuyamian marks on the face, the power armor helmet had lines of Iuyamian characters on both cheeks and temple, the power armor helmet was decorated with countless Iuyamian symbols, the power armor helmet had unique Iuyamian writing on both brows and the muzzle, the power armor helmet had organic cybernetic and natural bionic elements (these organic cybernetic and natural bionic elements were on its temple, on its snout, & and on both cheeks), the power armor helmet had two shining cardinal lines going down the two right and left eye holes of his/her/their dark fire brick glowing visor, & finally the power armor helmet had bizarre sophisticated patterns around the jaw area making it distantly look like a face. All of this gave his/her/their power armor helmet a menacing and remarkable look that motivated allies and petrified enemies. Fastened to the helmet was the skull of a humanoid alien they hunted as hunting captain and clan hunter/huntress of their tribe and clan. After the humanoids, animals, beasts, & creatures were killed they took their corpses. Their bodies were burned leaving only their bones to be gathered to steal their mana or power. Mana is a life force which gives influence, power, and authority. Mana can be gained or lost. It is stored in the bones. After someone’s death, small bones would be turned into jewelry.

Unique Physiology:
He/she/they were born with teeth that can rip through steel, canines and saber teeth that can rip through adamantium and vibranium, claws that can rip through mithril and adamant, & a prehensile chimera tail (with a mouth that has fangs) that can rip through diamonds.
Metamorph: Changeling, metamorph, or shapeshifter with unlimited forms (potential limitless).
He/she/they were born with his/her/their superhuman and supernatural control over transfiguration and shapeshifting.
Mimicry:
He/she/they can psionically modify the configuration of his/her/their organic cells at will on a cellular, microscopic, atomic, sub atomic level, & nanoscopic level. So, he/she/they can cause himself/herself/themselves to sound, act, & appear as a precise carbon copy of any of any human or humanoid. That is regular, divine, mythical, mythological, magical, discovered, undiscovered, extinct, living, aquatic, avian, terrestrial, extraterrestrial, demonic, imaginary, mythical, fictional, magical, futuristic, mystical, science fiction, & fantasy. So, he/she/they can shapeshift into any human, humanoid, semi-humanoid, beast, creature, monster, & animal regardless of any sex, any gender, any race, height, weight, body type, hair style, hair color, eye color, skin tone. He/she/they gained this ability as a teenager.
He/she/they can transfigure into anything whether or not they are super powered or unpowered, any species, wearing or not wearing clothes, wearing armor or not wearing armor, & or whether they have or don’t have cybernetic or bionic enhancements. He/she/they can shapeshift into anything whether or not they have: scales, fur, feathers, horns, and wings. He/she/they can precisely imitate someone’s retinal pattern, finger prints, vocal patterns and copy their memories, mental thought patterns, finger palm patterns, skin pore patterns, skin, smell, vocal cords, emotional patterns, & repeating behaviors to fool anyone including the most powerful empaths and the most powerful telepaths. He/she/they gained this capability as a young adult.
With the Prime the primordial force of the cosmos that he/she/they are avatar, champion, & embodiment of he/she/they are the defender and protector of all sentient life. He/she/they were gifted with dragon lord physiology, dragon god physiology, transcendent dragon physiology, werebeast lord physiology, transcendent werebeast physiology, true vampire physiology, vampire lord physiology, transcendent vampire physiology, vaewolf physiology, werepire physiology, werepire lord physiology, transcendent werepire physiology, vaewolf lord physiology, & alpha vaewolf physiology (fusion of a werebeast lord physiology and a vampire lord physiology)
He/she/they with their absolute adaptation he/she/they can transform into any being living or dead, organic or inorganic, real or fictional. He/she/they reach the zenith of his/her/their shapeshifting in the 40th to the 60th century. This gave them so many shapeshifting abilities. This includes plants with the power of plant morphing, natural weaponry (where they can shapeshift or transfigure parts of their body into weaponry), desire form (where they can take the form of someone’s greatest desire), perfect doppelganger morphing (where they can take the appearance, powers, capabilities, memories, life-force, & personality on such a level that they replicate even fingerprints), disguise mastery, empathic shapeshifting (where they can shapeshift based on their emotions), environmental shapeshifting (where they can transform based on the environment), dimensional transformation (where they can transform based on dimensions or realities), temporal transformation (where they can transform based on points in history), evolution or enhancing themselves via accelerated evolution, gender transformation (or the ability of altering their own gender based on their current gender and gender identity), god morphing (or the ability to morph into a deity which is how he/she/they became the Celestial and Stellar Entity and Divine and Heavenly Being in the 60th century), inorganic mimicry (or the ability transform physically into an inorganic life form), inorganic shape shifting (or the ability to manipulate their own inorganic body which is how they manipulate their bionic and cybernetic implants), malleable anatomy (or the ability rearrange the physiological features of themselves), mimicry form (or the ability mimic look and powers of other beings), mythic physiology (or the ability transform into mythical beings), organic mimicry (or the ability to transform physically into an organic form), organic shape shifting (or the ability manipulate their own organic body), post mortem shapeshifting (where they can shapeshift into anyone they just killed), reactive adaptation (where they develop adaptation to combat threats or combat changes), regenerative healing factor (where they can shape their own body and cells to their optimal state healing rapidly from injuries and even maintain eternal youth if they choose to), self-particle manipulation where they can manipulate their own particle structure on a cellular, molecular, microscopic, atomic, subatomic, & nanoscopic level), size manipulation (where they can shapeshift their own size or just select parts of their body), soul shapeshifting (where they can shapeshift their own soul to another person's), & species shifting (where they can shapeshift into other humanoid species). He/she/they are the strongest metamorph, changeling, & shapeshifter throughout the universe, multiverse, & omniverse.

Action Report: The Cyborg, the Witch, and the Flesh Part 1
It was 11/17/2006, and Foundation drones confirmed that with the help of SCP-ARF, SCP-610 has breached containment and is currently running wild through Russian. Thankfully it has yet to make any major damage, but it is working its way towards a major city and every passing hour, the hole in its containment area gets wider and wider. Pretty soon SCP-ARF and SCP-610 will be able to spread wherever they want.
Obviously, this is something that should concern all of the member organizations of the Anomalous Correction and Protection Alliance as SCP-610 alone is a massive threat to all of humanity. However, the O5 Council instead decided to use this opportunity to see the full firepower of, at the time, two of the strongest MTFs within the Foundation. Mobile Task Force Tau-5 "Samsara" and Mobile Task Force Hecate-Alpha "Real Magic", Division "Oracle's Third Eye". Many were against this idea and demanded that the Foundation just swallow its pride and allow its allies to help; however, the O5 heard none of it and went forward with forming the Joint Task Force Operation.
As such Temporary Joint Task Force Hephaestus-5 "Cyberpunk Coven" was formed consisting of Commander Irantu, Agent Onru, Agent Munru, Agent Nanku, Agent Victoria, Dr. Stefansdottir now acting Vice Commander with Code Name: Craft, Code Name Agent: Rune, Code Name Agent: Card, Code Name Agent: White Rabbit, and Code Name Agent: Black Cat.
Irantu was equipped with a cybernetic war suit capable of superheating itself, incinerating anything that gets too close. The arms of his armor had double barrel machine guns armed with N bullets as well as necrosis venom coated hidden blades. The Back of his armor also has two long rectangular cases which hold a minigun each, when activated they place themselves on Irantu's shoulder and fire E rounds. His legs are also equipped with rocket thrusters under the feet and air thrusters on the back of the legs to ensure flight capability, stability, and maximum speed. His bones and muscles have been reinforced with cybernetics that prevent Irantu from taking shock damage. Allowing him to both take more hits but also hit five times as hard. He can essentially level a concrete building with just his bare hands.
Onru is equipped with her cybernetic reality concealment armor, equipped with Necrosis Venom coated hidden blades on her wrists, the back of her hands, her elbows, her shoulders, her knees, alongside her ankles, and one below her foot. Her eyes and brain have been augmented to connect with the hidden cameras on her helmet to allow her to see and comprehend all 360 degrees around her. Her ears have been enhanced so that she can hear anything a mile away from her. Her sense of feeling has been enhanced so that she is able to feel even the slightest movement and vibrations form half a mile away. She is armed with a Cybernetic sniper rifle, loaded with ENF rounds. She also has her favorite case made of Allaxounium with all its programmed weapon forms.
Munru is equipped with his favorite energy conduit armor that allows him to generate massive amounts of electricity to fire any enemies too close and/or all around him. He is armed with four shotguns on his back; one is an Automatic Foundation Shotgun with N rounds, another Automatic Foundation Shotgun but with E rounds, and the last two are Advanced Foundation Incineration Laser Shotguns which had recently passed the experimental phase. He also has Dual Cybernetic Plasma Katanas, one on each of his sides. He is also equipped with Missile Seeker Grenades all of which have been modified to not only be explosive but have necrosis venom coated fragments, killing anything that might have survived the explosion. His muscles have been modified to be able to recoil and extend twice as much as they normally do and with five times the strength meaning he can run faster, jump higher, and punch through even titanium with ease.
Nanku is equipped with cybernetic armor capable of self-repairs and manifesting a magnetic force field of 25 feet. She had a Foundation Medical Case equipped with the most advanced but also experimental medicine and medical tech. She is given Dual Incineration Laser SMGs and Black Hole Grenades. Her blood has been filled with nanobots created by Dr. Wicked designed to recognize all members of JTF Hephaestus-5 and heal them if needed when in contact as well as Nanku herself. However, they have also been programmed to recognize SCP-610 and attack it, preventing infection to the cellular level.
Victoria is equipped with her favorite power armor. Seemingly no different to regular MTF power armor but is triple reinforced with paper thin layers of Plumanium, Insolubilis-chartaium, Caronium making her virtually indestructible to all forms of attacks. Like Iranto the legs of her armor is outfitted with thrusters allowing for flight and increased speed. Furthermore, similar thrusters are on her back and arms ensuring maximum coordination along with speed. As per usual she is equipped with SCP-ABV-2 which she has complete mastery over now. She is also given a Foundation Incineration Laser Rifle along with a Foundation pistol with N rounds. Her helmet has been outfitted with Level 2 A.I.. As per usual, she has requested that there be no augmentations to her body even if it will assist her in the mission.
Craft was given standard MTF Trooper armor despite it not being necessary. Due to her being able to manifest anything she desires, excels in all forms of known as well as unknown magic, and is indestructible on all levels of reality and comprehension as well as levels beyond comprehension. Therefore, she was not given anything beyond this.
Rune has his typical magical tattoos that are all over his body allowing him to manifest any form of magical spell he wants instantaneously. He is equipped with a Foundation Bulletproof Biohazard Suit, Shock nullification armor, and Foundation MTF Helmet. As requested, he was given gauntlets made of Plumanium that are also engraved with his own specified runes. Lastly, he has a Dual Foundation Pistols loaded with N rounds. Like all members of MTF Hecate-A, Division "Oracle's Third Eye" he is an expert in all forms of magic.
Card has her typical magical cards that allow her to summon a wide range of different monsters she has created, though she is limited to only summoning one at a time. She is equipped with a Foundation Bulletproof Biohazard Suit, Shock nullification armor, and Foundation MTF Helmet. She has a Cybernetic Chainsaw Sword capable of Superheating itself, further allowing the blade to tear and cut through anything. Lastly, she is equipped with Standard Foundation Sniper Rifle loaded AP rounds. Like all members of MTF Hecate-A, Division "Oracle's Third Eye" she is an expert in all forms of magic.
White Rabbit is able to create portals and vortexes that allow her to not only teleport instantaneously but also manipulate the space around her as well as the placement of his enemies, she even has his own personal pocket dimension. She is equipped with a Foundation Bulletproof Biohazard Suit, Shock nullification armor, and Foundation MTF Helmet. As requested, she has armored gloves made of Caronium that have retractable claws made of both Cold Iron and Deep Silver Flow meaning she can easily kill anything with a single slash of her claws. Lastly, she is equipped with a Standard Foundation Assault Rifle loaded with E rounds. Like all members of MTF Hecate-A, Division "Oracle's Third Eye" he is an expert in all forms of magic.
Black Cat is a curse specialist that also has a constant aura of bad luck where anyone he deems a hostile who is too close to him will be filled with bad luck. He is equipped with a Foundation Bulletproof Biohazard Suit, Shock nullification armor, and Foundation MTF Helmet. As requested, he has a long scythe made of Plumanium with its blade made out of both Cold Iron and Deep Silver Flow. Lastly, he is equipped with two SMGs, one loaded with C rounds, the other loaded with I rounds. Like all members of MTF Hecate-A, Division "Oracle's Third Eye" he is an expert in all forms of magic.
The team was divided in half with each half consisting of five members and those five members riding their own SFH-2 ″Raven". Thanks to the speed of the Ravens, it didn't take long for them to reach Russia. The pilots landed them in a forest area where no civilians were around for miles, and it was also a place where the instances of SCP-610 and SCP-ARF were expected to appear. Irantu and his group were the first to land there and not long after Craft and her group made it as well.
Recording of Mission Begins:
Command: Has everyone arrived?
Irantu: Yes, we are all here, Craft and her team have just arrived.
Command: Perfect, unfortunately from here on we will go radio silent as it seems SCP-ARF is capable of creating towers that jam signals. So, you and the rest of your squad will be on your own.
Craft: Acknowledged command, don't worry about us, we'll get this done in no time.
Command: ... of course, over and out.
Each of the members of the Joint Operation had recording devices on their armor allowing everything to be recorded even without satellite connection. Since they were all on the ground Craft looked at Victoria, smiled, and ran over to her and hugged her.
Craft: Hello Cidney! How are you?
After Craft let's Victoria go, Victoria smiles but instead of talking she speaks using ASL.
Victoria: I'm okay, how about you?
Craft: Kinda excited now that I'm going on a mission with an old friend like you. Though I am curious as to why they didn't just send me alone they know I can just snap my fingers and make everything go away right?
Victoria: Well yeah, but you're still just one person, right? Even if you're all powerful you still need at least a little back up.
Craft: I guess, I would normally say I don't need it, but it is refreshing when the help comes from a good friend like you. Say why are you talking through American Sign Language? Didn't the surgery restore your vocal cords?
Victoria: It did, but it kinda hurts to talk sometimes, also I'm still not used to it. I prefer to do ASL instead.
Craft: I get it, it took so long for my powers to become stable and not go wild like they used to and now that they're finally stable, I’m not even sure what the limits even are.
Victoria: I know the O5 would hate it if you tried; but personally, I trust you to use your powers for good.
Craft: Thank you, Cidney.
Irantu: Craft it would be wise to stick to code names.
Craft and Victoria then noticed Irantu standing beside them with his normal serious/emotionless expression. However, before either of them could reply Black Cat showed up and smirked at Irantu in a way to show he was angry but confident at him.
Black Cat: Say robot man, don't tell Commander Craft what to do and I don't turn you into tin can yes?
Irantu: My name is Irantu, and I was merely stating a fact. It's better to use code names when on mission.
Black Cat: Are you perhaps saying I'm stupid robot man?
Craft: Black Cat! Don't go starting a fight. Especially when the enemy is so close.
Irantu: Also, my name is Irantu.
Victoria: Please just call him Irantu.
Black Cat: Don't tell me what to do little robot girl.
Before Victoria could reply Craft grabbed Black Cat by the throat, suddenly the air pressure around them became extremely heavy and Craft started displaying an aura of unstable energy. Her hair can be seen floating in the air as she glares at Black Cat with murderous intent.
Craft: Don't you dare call her that again. Cause if you do, I'LL MAKE YOU REGRET IT.
Craft then let Black Cat go, making him fall to the ground and start coughing. He then got on his knees as Craft slowly started calming down.
Black Cat: I'm Sorry Commander. I'm sorry Irantu and Victoria.
Irantu: ... Actually, Craft is the Vic-
Victoria quickly placed her hand in front of Irantu to get him to stop talking. She knew that his bad habit of correcting information was only going to make things worse. Craft was then able to fully calm down releasing the pressure and weight in the air. Victoria then went over to her friend.
Victoria: You didn't have to go that far.
Craft: ... Sorry, I still get mad when people treat me, you, Iris, Meri, or Emily like we're less than human.
Victoria: Well, I'm not exactly human, am I?
Craft: tch, so what? You're still the same Ci- ahem! Victoria everyone knows and loves. Just because your blood doesn't flow red doesn't make you any less deserving of compassion. You've really got to stop selling yourself so short Victoria.
Victoria: I guess you're right, thank you for standing up for me even if it was over the top.
Craft: Ha, yeah, I'll be sure to watch myself on that. Alright then I think we wasted enough time, my teams ready to go right?
Black Cat: Of course.
Rune: Yes ma'am.
Card: Yes.
White Rabbit: Sure.
Irantu: Good, we're ready to move out as well.
Onru: Actually, moving out won't be necessary. The enemy is already extremely close.
Irantu: Is that so? How close?
Onru: If I'm correct they will be on us in approximately-
Suddenly several plasma bullets shot right towards Craft, but she used her anomalous abilities to stop them midair.
Onru: 0.4 seconds or less.
Irantu: Contact Snipers!
Onru: Leave them to me then.
Onru then grabs her Cybernetic Sniper Rifle and aims it toward the forest where she heard the hostiles coming form. She quickly sights a group of heavily armored SCP-ARF-1 instances of both humanoid and dog form. All of which are either holding guns or have them augmented into their bodies. Onru then fired an ENF bullet right in the middle of the group, it exploded midair in between the group. The resulting explosion blew some apart and had others stabbed by fragments coated with necrosis venom.
Onru: Hostiles have been reduced by 52%.
Irantu: Acknowledged keep firing.
Onru: Understood.
Victoria and Craft watched as Onru kept firing not a single hint of fear in either of them. A single plasma bullet did hit Victoria and was somehow able to phase through her armor. It did hurt a little, but Victoria knew it would heal quickly so she didn't mind. Black Cat and Rune walked forward as well to get a better view while using a far view spell, both of them were also using a barrier spell to block the occasional plasma bullets.
Black Cat: Alright, I understand now. not little robots but strong cyborgs.
Rune: Yeah, they don't have much on emotions but try not to piss them off.
Only after a minute Onru was done firing and put away her Cybernetic Sniper Rifle.
Onru: All hostiles have been eradicated.
Craft: Are there any fresh corpses left?
Onru: By my count approximately 5 or 7 of the corpses are 80% intact at minimum.
Craft: That's good enough, now then time to get some samples. Victoria, will you come with me?
Victoria: Of course!
Craft: Perfect, the rest of you can meet up with us there.
Irantu: Understood
Craft then placed her hand on Victoria’s shoulder and closed her eyes, according to her personal account of the report she used her anomalous abilities teleported there. Victoria can be heard giggling though she continues to communicate via ASL.
Victoria: Your powers are so cool.
Craft: Hm, it feels good being acknowledged by a beautiful girl like you.
Victoria was then left wide eyed with surprise.
Craft: ... ha, what? You thought Iris and Meri were the only ones?
Victoria just blushed in embarrassment and looked the other way, Craft who was still smiling proudly looked at the corpses. She was about to use her magic to lift them up and dissect them, but the bodies started getting up on their own. There were 5 bodies in total and as they got up red vines started growing out of the joints and cracks in their armor. They tried to attack Victoria and Craft, but nothing happened, instead they all froze in place as if time stopped. Victoria herself didn't notice until she opened her eyes after closing them out of fear.
Craft: Time didn't stop if that's what you're thinking, I just froze them. Feel free to praise me more.
Craft smirked at Victoria who just turned her head while rolling her eyes. She did think Craft's powers were cool, but she wasn't a fan of her rubbing it in like that. Craft noticed she was annoying Victoria at this point but still chuckled proudly nonetheless. Craft then made one of the strange entities lift up, float in front of her, and made it extend the limbs. She then made the armor remove from the creature to show a Chimera soldier covered in pulsating crimson flesh with bits of yellow glowing liquid flowing through it like blood.
Craft: Interesting. This is supposed to be an instance of SCP-ARF, yet...
Craft then touched the corpse and quickly the red veins grew on her hand and spread onto her flesh. Now that it was mutating her flesh, she used her powers to see how it was mutating her flesh down to the cellular level. Of course, she then raised her hand to get a closer look as her hand mutated into crimson rotting flesh.
Craft: It's infected with an aggressive strain of SCP-610 I suppose that makes sense given where it came from, but this is still weird.
Craft's hand then seemingly just pulled itself off of her body and was formed into a ball of meat. As a new hand instantaneously took the place of the old one, she then shifted the ball of meat into what looked like a helix of DNA. According to Craft, she used her consciousness to simultaneously observe the DNA and how it was structured while restructuring the SCP-610 flesh into an exact replica. Victoria watched all of it and was staring wide eyed in shock. She then got beside Craft so that she could see Victoria's ASL.
Victoria: What is it?
Craft: I was right, it's SCP-610 but... changed. They managed to create a strain that remains dormant until death. Meaning they can infect themselves without having to worry about the symptoms and instead use it as a last resort weapon should they die in battle. A sort of suicide bomb tactic, or self-destruct if you prefer. Woah, the amount of genetic editing and mutations that must have taken to create this is... amazing yet so terrifying. If SCP-ARF is capable of controlling something as unstable as SCP-610 to this degree, then it's much more dangerous than we anticipated. We need to cull it as much as possible before containment.
Victoria: Shouldn't we just destroy it?
Craft: ... hm, maybe if we were only human but right now, we have the smartest and most powerful witch in the world alongside a beautiful cyborg badass as well as four other cyborg badass's and four other powerful witches. I think containing an uncontainable pathogen isn't too much to ask for.
Victoria: The anomalies never stop coming so we never stop fighting, right?
Craft: Like always.
Rune: Craft? You, okay?
Irantu: Do you have anything to report?
Finally, the others made it to them, seeing all the floating corpses of SCP-ARF-1 instances infected with SCP-610.
Craft: One moment please.
Craft then raised all the frozen corpses of SCP-ARF-1 instances infected with SCP-610, and slowly started disassembling them atom by atom. She was then able to form them all into a cloud of dust before condensing it all into a single tiny box. The tiny box then landed onto Craft's hand, she then walked over to Irantu to hand it to him, so he took it.
Irantu: Hm, Onru, analyze this.
Onru: Right away.
Irantu then handed it to Onru and upon taking it she started pressing buttons on a keypad below her arm below her wrist. Once she was done, the armor on her wrist opened up and wires extended from her body and onto the Cube. Typical of Tau-5 units, she was able to create wires that can access any form of data instantly.
Onru: Interesting, they go by many names on many worlds but on this world, they have chosen to call themselves the Chimera. They spread to different worlds and have hereditary knowledge of all the technology they utilized when conquering previous worlds. Their knowledge and fast spreading pathogen like nature allows them to adapt and conquer new worlds quite quickly. Though apparently, earth is high on their list because they have an old grudge against the ISU.
Everyone then looked at Onru in shock.
White Rabbit: Did you say the ISU?
Nanku: Those humanoids that supposedly created humanity and make those cool weapons MTF Athena-1 always finds?
Rune: That is... the last thing I was expecting to learn today.
Onru: There's more, apparently the ISU built towers that allow them to change the weather of entire countries all over the world. The Chimera are planning on finding the towers, unearthing them, and using them to make the world into a more habitable environment for the Chimera. Their metabolism is extremely high, so they want to make the world cold enough to allow them to survive without the need of augmented cooling devices. They understand how ISU technology works and know how to reprogram it or at the very least reengineer it to do their bidding.
Craft: Incredible they can hack both the DNA of SCP-610 as well as the advanced, and so far, unhackable technology of the ISU.
Black Cat: Last I checked, so can you, Commander.
Craft: That's because I have the ability to manipulate reality however I want. These Chimera or whatever, they... what they can do is something even the top scientists of the Foundation are STILL struggling to accomplish. Dr. Zeek, Dr. Malik, Dr. Alvik, Dr. Tutela, and even Dr. Wicked could only dream of doing the things they do. Yet they only started out as a virus that was getting overwhelmed by SCP-610. Now they're not only overwhelming it but placing it under their control. To be able to inherit so much knowledge from DNA alone is... beyond anomalous, it's incomprehensible.
Rune: Sarkites would want to get their hands on SCP-ARF for their anomalous capabilities.
Munru: The Mekhanites as well, if they could get the secrets to manipulate ISU technology out of SCP-ARF they'd be willing to sacrifice hundreds of their own to obtain it.
Irantu: Then it's a good thing we're here. Onru, you said they have hereditary knowledge and memory, is it possible that SCP-ARF has a hive mind of sorts?
Onru: One moment... Yes! I've connected to it now; they are sending out small squads in all directions to find any forms of life they can as well as gathering metals to start creating bigger and more complex machinery. They're mainly focusing on just scouting the area before sending reinforcements while keeping a majority of their forces back.
Card: Why would they do that? If they're like a contagion and love to conquer worlds, why not just spread everywhere as fast and as far as possible?
Onru: They're still fighting against SCP-610, they managed to control their captured samples but a majority of it is still on the loose and trying to regain its territory. Apparently, SCP-610 has dug deeply into the ground so the Chimera keep suffering ambushes. SCP-610 is slowly losing its territory but it's still fighting hard nonetheless. The Chimera are forced to only send out scouts to gather resources that can help in their effort to completely contain and control SCP-610.
Munru: So this will be relatively easy?
Onru: Not entirely, they are aware of us killing this squad here and that their modified version of SCP-610 failed to kill Craft and little sister. uh, I mean Victoria. Anyways, they're angry now, as such some squads with stronger weapons and armor are heading in our direction with the intention to terminate us.
Nanku: They don't all have the same weapons?
Onru: Negative, dealing with SCP-610 requires inconsistency and lots of resources so the Chimera have to get creative and create as many different variants of itself and weapons as possible. They haven't had much contact with other organisms on this planet so they're not sure if there's anything around that's better or worse than SCP-610. They are determined but cautious.
Black Cat: Not that such caution will do them any good. Pity, I almost feel bad for them.
Irantu: Alright, Onru, keep that cube and send us live data on where the squads are to all of our visors, we should split up and take them all on. We've already proven that one of us each can take on a single squad.
Craft: I have nothing against that, now that we know what they're capable of, I'm fairly certain none of us will suffer casualties taking them out.
Everyone in the group looked sure and confident but they all stopped smiling and looked at Victoria in confusion as she was shaking fearfully.
Victoria: Do we really have to split up? I know I can beat them but...
Black Cat: Come now Victoria, have courage, yes? You are a strong independent robot girl, yes?
Victoria: I know! But I've never been on a mission alone!
Craft was about to go over to Victoria and offer to partner up, but Irantu beat her to the punch. Instead, he got in front of her and placed his hand on her shoulder.
Irantu: Little sister, you being afraid is predictable but not misunderstood. We are delving into unknown territory with an unknown enemy. But don't forget you are strong and given even more power by our benefactors. But if there's anything I find interesting about humans, it's that they can obtain even greater power from emotions felt in the heart and brain. Now you are the most human of us all, is it not logical to assume you have the potential to become the strongest us all.
Victoria: ... perhaps.
Irantu: Wrong, it's a certainty, do not doubt yourself little sister. You'll be fine, so have confidence, okay?
Victoria: ... Yes, big brother.
Black Cat: Did he not lecture me earlier about sticking to code names?
Rune: Don't ruin the moment man, this is about as emotional as Tau-5 will ever get.
Irantu: Alright then, with all units in agreement it settled we will use the live feed on our visors to take out these squads of SCP-ARF. Once they're all down we'll regroup and rest for the day, then tomorrow we'll go on a frontal assault against SCP-ARF as well as SCP-610. Any objections? None? Let's go then, good luck to you all.

First-person games
First-person games are any form of games where the player character plays in the first person, seeing whatever the player character would. They have been a staple of gaming since their introduction - particularly with shooters - and have remained consistently popular.
Team Fortress 2:
Team Fortress 2 PC Multiplayer Gameplay #2 | 1080p - YouTube
HAHAA YOU FOOL THERE IS NO ESCAPE
I'm not sorry.
The main draw of Team Fortress 2 [TF2] are how customisable it can be. If you like doing things in video games, you can probably do it in TF2 - there are community fashion shows, sword-wielding scotsmen flying through the skies alongside jingoistic Americans who only stopped his nazi-killing rampage in 1949 or just a huge russian man offering sandwiches. There's also the shooting aspect if you're playing normally which is equally as fun. This is due to the colossal cosmetic options, very large weapon choice options and playstyle options across 9 unique classes
Visuals:
A running joke in the TF2 community is that it's a shooter-themed hat simulator. This is due to the 1795 cosmetics in-game. That's a lot. Because of this, your class can appear however you want. Most cosmetics can also be painted different colours, and unusual effects [big gaudy particle effects on guns, hats and taunts] only add to this. This is a huge draw as it attracts all players, from edgelord I-have-no-soul snipers, to players who just want to spent the entire game doing the conga or sneaking around in a cardboard box. All of this, however, fits with the games dated artstyle [for the most part]. This allows TF2 to feel visually coherent whilst retaining unprecedented levels of player choice in appearance.
Gameplay:
The same approach is also given to playstyles. The best example of this is the Demoman class, who has a grenade launcher and a sticky bomb launcher. This gives him extremely good area denial capability due to the explosion radius of his bombs and how he can use sticky bombs to trap areas players funnel through. However, due to his weapons firing slow-moving projectiles and his low movement speed, the Demoman can be very vulnerable when isolated and caught off-guard. By replacing his grenade launcher with boots, sticky bomb launcher with a shield and bottle with a huge sword, you lose all area denial and instead become able to fly around the map [TF2's physics engine is very weird] and decapitate players as a 'Demoknight' , becoming stronger and faster with every kill. A lot of classes have similar items that completely flip their playstyle, albeit to a lesser extend, from switching from a defensive Engineer to the gun-toting, yee-hawing Battle Engineer, or dropping your huge minigun to play as a massive, slow scout as the Heavy. However, playing a class as intended is still extremely fun! Nearly all weapons are single shot [like a rifle or rocket launcher] rather than sustained fire [like a machinegun]. This results in far more fun while playing, as the sounds for firing a grenade and the explosion upon hitting a player is far more satisfying than a brrrrrt from a machine gun. Also, when you die, you often think how you could have killed that player if you'd hit that last shot rather than if you'd just been better at following them with your crosshair if you're using a sustained fire weapon. All weapons force the player to adopt a different playstyle, whether small changes to aiming or playing a near different class [Demoknight, is only when all 3 weapons have been swapped to drastically different ones] so the game always feels fresh.
Payday 2:
Payday 2 is a heisting game, or a first-person-shooter when you've had enough of sneaking around. Released in 2013 by Overkill Software and published by Starbreeze, it featured two distinct ways of performing a heist - stealth or loud. This allowed for two extremely distinct approaches to be taken to each individual heist, with perk decks and skills built up during gameplay introducing new mechanics to assist during heists [alcoholism heals bullet wounds apparently].
Stealth vs Loud: In Stealth, the player has to complete typically quieter objectives and avoid being seen by guards, cameras and civilians at all costs. If this occurs, the alarm will be raised and police will be called, forcing the heist to go Loud. This can be avoided, however, by killing guards, shooting cameras or cable tying a civilian to make them a hostage [you can shoot civilians but that's very much inadvisable]. In Loud, you shoot first and blow things up. Loud is fun. Instead of sneaking around, you walk into a bank and blow holes in things. Depending on difficulty, you may face traditional SWAT units, shield units which require special weapons or ammo to damage from the front, snipers [i hate], Bulldozers [800lb walking tanks who will obliterate you if you get too close], medics [who make SWAT far stronger] and Cloakers, who will hop out of sewers or vents, backflip over a Ford and down you immediately by introducing your face to the pavement. Whilst most heists can be done Stealth or Loud [Loud is typically simpler but Stealth can be much quicker and you get a bonus], some are Stealth only [Shadow Raid] or Loud only [Counterfeit]. This forces players out of their comfort zone to test different approaches and tools to complete objectives.
Perks and Skills: Perk decks and Skills change how a heist is played, rather than its approach. Perk decks are 9 consecutive cards in each deck that have increasing price but increasing benefits, however only one deck can be equipped. An example of this is Stoic, which gives you the Hip Flask which greatly reduces the amount of damage you just took [it's complicated]. The other 8 perks in the deck improve passive things such as reducing time until you're allowed to use the Flask, how much health it restores and so on. Switching to another deck will replace Stoic's benefits with the other decks, however they can be switched between with no penalty. Skills, however, are 15 different skill trees with 7 individual Skills that can be selected at will to provide cumulative benefits - any Skill you have selected will be active, regardless of what tree it's in. Although neither Skills nor Perks change whether you go Stealth or Loud, they can impact how you play heists in the abilities you have to hand. Skills and Perks can be selected to work well with each other to create Builds, such as a dodge build which just forces a percent of all hits you take to no damage [like you dodged a bullet]. This complexity provides extreme variation in how heists are played, with all approaches having a multitude of ways to perform them using any Skills or Perks
Borderlands 2:
Borderlands 2 is a first-person looter shooter made by Gearbox Software in 2012 [but I don't remember 2012]. In BD2, you can play as one of 4 characters [6 if you purchase DLC], each with a unique action skill and vastly different skill trees. There's a lot of guns in BD2. A lot. Each is one of 5 types [rocket launcher, SMG, assault rifle, sniper, pistol] and may have one of 5 elements [fire, ice, corrosion, slag and explosion] with vastly different stats and designs from one another.
The Characters: I'm ignoring the 2 bonus DLC characters here. Each of the 4 main characters has a separate action skill, from a sentry that attaches to walls/ceilings, magic to keep enemies in place, holograms to duel-wielding guns. These skills have relatively short cooldowns, so the action feels continuous when these are in use. Each class also has 3 different skill trees that function similarly to those in Payday 2, with any selected skills being active regardless of what tree they're in. Each tree also caters to a specific playstyle, such as Zer0 [assassin]'s trees assisting with either keeping his hologram up so the player can stay invisible for longer, stronger melee attacks and bonuses for that or skills to assist sniping. However, these skills can be combined to produce builds dedicated to however you want to play and can be reset [for a price, of course] so the player has a large variety of playstyles and approaches to play with through character choice and skills.
The Guns: Most guns [except certain unique ones] can be of any element from 5 and any rarity from common to legendary, impacting its stats. These elements make them stronger against certain types of enemy but weaker against others and can help some guns feel less redundant. Each gun can also have effects such as firing 3 rounds at once for snipers, or extra critical damage. Because of this, all guns feel unique and can be swapped out at any point for different ones. Truly unique guns, however, are typically dropped by bosses or via quests. They are usually rare or legendary, and have special witty text attached with unique stats and models. These guns are typically extremely strong, and allow the player to perform a 100% completion run finding them all if they so desire. This variety causes the weapons to be varied and feel different regardless of how many times you've completed the game.
War Thunder:
We do not discuss War Thunder.
Bendy And The Dark Revival:
BATDR is a sequel to popular horror game Bendy And The Ink Machine [BATIM] where you play as a character enduring the horrors created by the Ink Machine. The gameplay is extremely smooth for the most part [the enemy AI can be janky at times] with a unique visual style and flair.
The Horror: With a mixture of scripted jumpscares, stealth sections and chase sequences, the horror in BATDR is fairly varied in it's sources. The scripted jumpscares provide obvious shock horror, but they're still fairly effective due to the atmosphere and tension. The stealth sections can be completed if you have sufficient mechanical efficiency to kill all the enemies without dying, however it tends to be extremely difficult. Because of this, stealth sections are particularly stressful due to the tension of the consequences for getting seen. With the chase sequences, the anxiety comes from the lack of knowledge of how far from safety you are, and how close you are to death as there's insufficient time to check. These combine to provide sufficiently varied horror and fear in the player despite acting in vastly different manners.
The Atmosphere: BATDR has a very strong atmosphere due to the story, enemies and visuals. Whilst the story provides narrative reasons for the existence of the game and its content, and conscious tension ['what's [x]'s plan?'], the visuals help provide more unconscious tension ['something's wrong here'] alongside environmental storytelling to suggest what has happened in a specific environment. The enemies also help provide atmosphere dynamically through their mannerisms, movement and appearance.
Generation Zero:
Generation Zero is a cold-war survival game set in a post-apocalyptic Sweden where the player character must navigate through a large island off the coast of Sweden, avoiding [and fighting when it all goes wrong] some pretty cool robots with a variety of weapons found around the world.
Visuals: For a relatively small studio, Gen 0 looks extremely clean. All robots can be distinguished from their environment through a combination of colour palette and movement - the robots are typically of two distinct colours that aren't seen too much in the environment, and are often moving so the player can separate them from the environment. There are also quite a few notably different types of robots, and depending on the location their colour will be different. The playable environment is also easily traversable, with the dedicated routes easily identifiable, and the degree of separation between wide open fields and forests with previously inhabited areas help distinguish locations of note.
Gameplay: All the weapons in Gen 0 feel punchy and powerful, which also makes them very satisfying to fire [maybe not as much as TF2 but still really good]. This is also consistent throughout the game - Gen 0's sound design is excellent and really adds to the experience. Ammo is typically also fairly sparse, forcing the player to decide whether a fight is worth engaging in for the possible loot or to conserve their ammo. Sometimes, however, the player is caught off-guard [this is genuinely terrifying] and has to fight. The robots of Gen 0 are extremely powerful but also fairly balanced - the Hunter has a machine gun that can utterly decimate you at close-medium range, has gas canisters and has a concerningly high movement speed, so in order to counter them, the player has to keep their distance as best they can or use explosives to trap them. Tanks [unfortunately not actual ones] and Harvesters both have extremely thick armour and heavy armaments with heavy machineguns and rocket barrages, but if the player stays behind cover, they can steadily destroy them by attrition. The player environments are also as varied as the enemies, from open plains [bad], to forests, beaches and bunkers.
Subnautica:
Subnautica is a open-world first person game set in a predominantly underwater world where the player's main objective is to survive and upgrade their tools. The world of Subnautica is very visually distinct, with the story told through environmental storytelling and audio logs.
Storytelling And Directions: Subnautica rarely has direct instructions for the player. Instead, the developers used environmental storytelling and voice logs to direct their curiosity, hinting at what may be present in specific areas. Environmental storytelling is the process of utilising the environment to imply past events without direct explanation, such as weird alien monuments suggesting that you may not have been the first here. However, due to the complexity of Subnautica, explanations are sometimes necessary. This is done in another world-relevant method, namely audio logs. This is a form of environmental storytelling as the player can find logs around the world, typically suggesting at past events or will receive an audio explanation after scanning an object of construction. These vaguely direct the players curiosity, suggesting where to go next without forcing the player
I'm pretty sure this is unintelligible. I'm tired.
Environmental Design: The biomes of Subnautica are all very visually distinguishable. From the Jelly Shrooms to the Tropical Shallows, each has its own set of visually and thematically coherent flora and fauna. Materials are always in noticeable locations and either stand out from the background or are so close to the player that they'll bump into them eventually. The water also serves as a good cover for chunk loading as at a certain distance, things just become invisible. The light streams and gradient also help keep the player orientated, something that is very much not there in the depths or in caves.
Superhot:
Superhot is a VR game where the player is tasked with destroying all enemies using whatever they have or can find. Time also only moves when the player move. I imagine that was fun to program
The Time Mechanic: Time only progresses when the player moves. This allows the player to make strategic decisions at effectively lightning pace, relative to the enemies. This can also make the game far more dramatic, as the player gets to control the pace of action and can be more deliberate in their actions.
The Other Mechanics: The other stand-out features of Superhot are that guns can be taken right out the hands of enemies. Used in conjunction with the time mechanic, this can be used for some True Shenanigans. It also allows the player to ping-pong from enemy to enemy, constantly keeping armed. The enemy models are also comically detailed, being made of geometric chunks which will be blown apart when struck or shot for a brilliant visual effect.
In conclusion: video game.

[sending documents: Alanor research, shared research]
[authorisation code accepted]
[documents sent]
[document 1]
Specimen name: Alanor
Specimen signature: 1
Threat class: sel
Power class: ryel
Tactical class: sel-ryel
Cooperation level: class one mutual research pact
Description: Alanor is either an entity made of nothing but metals and crystallised stars that looks to be a massive worm about the size of our star, or something similar to Spartan 117 if he had armour made only to intimidate and be generally spikey, depending on whether he is moving around off or on world respectively. In on world form his body consists of layers of armoured, flowing metal flesh underneath about five(5) layers of armour of incredible resilience. His face is split into five(5) plates, each with an eye on it except for the bottom plate which houses nothing, but instead moves like a mouth. It has been confirmed that these plates are as strong as the layered armour on the rest of his body, being able to easily withstand joint assault testing from specimens 2 and 7 without being even scuffed on any part of his body other than it's weak spots
Weak spots:
Between the neck and shoulder on each side is a small organ that allows for the generation of modern firearms and above. Shooting this will make him stumble back for exactly 1.254 seconds, so be careful and shoot multiple times as it adds 1.254 seconds extra time to this stumbling. Most effective exploitation method: laser weaponry or machine guns.
The back of his legs, specifically behind his kneecaps, are very squishy and can be pierced by most projectiles if they have enough force to their launching at the area, and have been confirmed to make him scream, open up the plates on his face and letting out a disorienting roar, if they are hit. Exploitation method: sniper rifle or heavy (preferably about 15 kg of pure plasmoxi goldsteel) throwing knife.
Under the faceplates there is a single point of high vulnerability that requires multiple exploitations of both other weak spots to reliably locate, aim at and have the time to fire at. If this spot is hit then the specimen will let out a deafening screech and fall to the ground dead. This screech destroys the hearing of anyone who hears it within fifty(50) kilometres of its PoO (point of origin. Please, junior researchers, don't make jokes about it. We are an organisation dedicated to research of gods and we don't have time for so many of you to be laughing at such things).
No known weak spots on main body other than the heart. Method of exploitation: theoretically, every nuke humanity has and then some.
Weaponry and capabilities:
The specimen is able to generate any weapon required for any situation from weak spot one(1)
Orbital ordinance
Multiple detonation fragmentation grenades
High power plasmic breath attack
Anti magic field
Anti divinity field
High intelligence matrix
Note: angering the specimen is highly inadvisable.

The U.S. military retreated from Afghanistan two years ago, leaving behind weapons that are now turning up in far-flung trouble spots where terrorists are fighting and killing America’s allies. In markets that have sprung up across the southern and eastern badlands, where the hottest fighting of the war took place, merchants with Taliban permits are offering U.S.-made automatic assault rifles and handguns for sale alongside hardware from Russia, Pakistan, China, Turkey, and Austria. Business, like terrorism, is thriving.
Under weather-beaten tarps slung across wooden poles, in isolated strip malls deep in the desert, or laid out on dusty carpets along bumpy tracks off the major highways, these ad hoc weapons bazaars are offering rockets and bombs, shoulder-fired grenade launchers, night vision goggles, sniper rifles and scopes, and ammunition. The wares are priced in afghanis, rupees, and dollars; recent price increases reflect the business acumen of one of the world’s richest criminal cartels that has sought to keep tight control on supply.
Left-behind American assault rifles command a premium: an M4 in good condition can fetch up to $2,400, a status symbol with as much cachet in the Himalayan tribal belt as a luxury handbag in Manhattan. In contrast, a Pakistan-made knock-off of an AK-47, the world’s most ubiquitous killing machine, can go for as little as $130.
It’s a new arms race—and it’s threatening global security. The Taliban, allies of if not quite affiliates of al Qaeda, are at the center of a global smuggling web that earns billions of dollars from heroin and meth. Now they appear to be funneling small arms to like-minded extremists inspired by their victory, not least next door. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Pakistan’s torn northwest tribal regions and separatists in restive Balochistan are using made-in-America weapons to kill police and soldiers in an escalating war against the Pakistani state.
Dramatic TTP videos show apparent attacks on Pakistani police and army outposts by militants armed with American weapons and using night vision and thermal sights, which Afghan Peace Watch said in a new report are “highly sought-after accessories supplied to Afghan Special Forces.” The report quotes a Taliban fighter in Nangarhar province, bordering Pakistan, as saying night vision items sell for $500 to $1,000.
“The proliferation of such arms has not only made it difficult to combat terror networks regionally, the night vision equipment, in particular, is used to target Pakistani security personnel and police on a daily basis,” said Iftikhar Firdous, editor of the Khorasan Diary, an independent organization based in Pakistan that monitors non-state groups.
U.S. assault weapons have reportedly been used in recent attacks by non-state groups in Kashmir, bitterly divided between India and Pakistan, and in Israel’s Gaza Strip. Yasin Zia, formerly a general with the Afghan Army and now leading the opposition Afghanistan Freedom Front, said weapons are also likely going to TTP operatives relocated, in a deal between the Taliban and Pakistan, to northern Afghanistan. “They won’t be welcome and will need to defend themselves” against hostile locals, Zia said.
For the Taliban, who’ve made so much money from other illicit trades, arms deals are just another source of income: The Taliban likely control and tax the new black market, said Asfandyar Mir, a South Asia expert at the U.S. Institute of Peace. And as the Taliban (and allied terrorist groups) seek new recruits, few things talk more eloquently than fancy, deadly kit.
The ubiquitous AK-47 flooded into the Afghan mujahideen for their 1979-1989 war against the Soviets. Easy to maintain, easy to use, lethal, and manufactured more widely than any other gun in history, the AK-47 became the symbol of insurgents everywhere. But it’s still a low-end weapon. Terrorists who are moving on up trade up. TTP and Islamic State propaganda shows “a general trend toward the gradual replacement of Kalashnikov rifles with NATO weapons,” Firdous said. Militants are shown “armed with M24 sniper rifles; M4 carbines with Trijicon ACOG scopes; M16A4 rifles with thermal scopes; M249 machine guns, AMD-65 rifles, M4A1 carbines, and M16A2/A4 assault rifles,” he said.
Thanks to both American largesse and Taliban smuggling networks, those arms are going everywhere. Experts say the same routes that proffer drugs, gems, and assorted other contraband get weapons to Islamist terrorists like al-Shabab in sub-Saharan Africa and Islamic State affiliates in the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and the same Persian Gulf countries that produced Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda in the first place. Apart from Afghanistan, where the insurgency ended in victory in August 2021, the number of people killed in terrorist attacks is rising, according to the Global Terrorism Index. The Taliban, who funded their war with drugs and other contraband, continue to reap the profits of death.
And the American largesse that created the Taliban’s boon in the first place was staggering. The U.S. Department of Defense estimated that left-behind stockpiles of arms and vehicles were worth $7.12 billion of the $18.6 billion spent from 2002 on arming the Afghan security forces. “This included roughly 600,000 weapons of all calibers, nearly 300 fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, over 80,000 vehicles of several models, communications equipment, and other advanced materiel such as night vision goggles and biometric systems,” according to the U.S. Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR). After the military exit in the summer of 2021, SIGAR quoted a Taliban official as saying, “The group took possession of more than 300,000 light arms, 26,000 heavy weapons, and about 61,000 military vehicles.” That’s on top of what they already had.
Much of this could have been predicted. U.S. material was used by the Taliban for years before the republic collapsed, sold by corrupt, impoverished, or demoralized Afghan forces. The Pentagon never got a handle on exactly what went where.
“What happened in Afghanistan is probably the largest case of diversion in modern history, with the huge quantities of weapons and ammunition that the Taliban received,” Justine Fleischner, a war and weapons expert and head of research at Afghan Peace Watch, told Foreign Policy. “You had a system whereby, of course they know what went into Afghanistan, but there’s no record of what was used, what was broken, what was lost, what needed to be repaired, what was in service, what was out of service. Diversion was happening for the entirety of the U.S. engagement in Afghanistan.”
Research by Afghan Peace Watch and the Small Arms Survey found that weapons markets are proliferating in southern and eastern Afghanistan and in neighboring Pakistan, offering weapons and other equipment from the Afghan battlefield. Clandestine factories are churning out counterfeit guns, like AK-47s. Workshops set up with U.S. funding are back in business, servicing small arms and light weapons as U.S.-trained specialists are invited back to work for the Taliban regime, said Habib Khan Totakhil, Afghan Peace Watch’s founder. Efforts to disarm civilians and demobbed Taliban supporters have fizzled, as it’s just too difficult to keep track of them, and many former fighters regard their guns as their own, rather than the state’s.
The Taliban, Firdous said, have ostensibly banned weapons exports, with much the same energy as it has tackled opium production. The clampdown has led to tighter supply and higher prices—but little more.
“There is much evidence to suggest that these weapons will continue to flow from Afghanistan, making it more difficult for nation-states to combat non-state actors,” Firdous said.

*** Medal of Honor Monday! 🇺🇸🇺🇸 ***
During this week in 1944, American soldiers should have been at home celebrating Christmas and New Year’s. Instead, they were fighting off one last German push during the Battle of the Bulge.
One of these soldiers, Pfc. Melvin Biddle, was a normally soft-spoken man. He later even admitted to being scared during combat. “But I lost a lot of fear because I was out there and couldn’t let the troops down,” he told a journalist in 2008.
He needed that attitude on December 23, as he fought with the 517th Parachute Infantry Regiment near Hotton, Belgium. Our soldiers were trying to rescue another company that had been surrounded by German forces.
Biddle was designated lead scout when two other men were injured. “I didn’t know I would be lead scout,” Biddle joked. Naturally, he went anyway.
Indeed, you’d never know that Biddle was soft-spoken—or scared—in the hours that followed. He “aggressively penetrated a densely wooded area,” according to his Medal citation. He advanced within yards of not just one, but at least five enemy positions. He threw hand grenades into machine gun nests, and he took out German snipers with “unerring marksmanship.”
Biddle described one of these encounters.
“There’s underbrush and cold, snowy,” Biddle said. “I came up—this small German outpost with the three guys. . . . I shot the first one and then the second one tried to shoot me and I had to shoot him. The third one ran from me and I shot him in the shoulder and he kept going. And I shot him again in the shoulder and he still kept going. And then all hell broke loose.”
Biddle wasn’t done yet. He scouted enemy positions—alone—for hours that night. He was freezing and his hands were so cold, he later said, “I wasn't sure I would be able to fire my rifle. I determined I was going to put a finger through and pull on the thing if I had to.”
Biddle’s efforts bore fruit. The young private returned with intelligence that allowed Americans to knock out two enemy tanks the next morning. That same day, Christmas Eve, he was dispatched as lead scout on another advance.
“I thought after all that the day before, they wouldn't put me out front again,” Biddle joked. “But they did. And he said you were so lucky yesterday, we're gonna use you again today.”
Biddle took out more of the enemy that day, but another notable incident occurred when he came upon a young German boy tied to a tree. The boy was in uniform, and it appeared that he’d been tied up so he wouldn’t retreat. “And everybody said shoot him, shoot him,” Biddle recounted. “And I says I don't think we need to. And we took him prisoner.”
Would you believe that Biddle was still uninjured after two days of fighting? He wasn’t hit until about a week later, when a piece of shrapnel hit his neck. He discovered that he’d been nominated for the Medal of Honor while he was recovering from that injury.
“I'm not a hero, not at all,” he said in 1999. “When the Army put me out front, they put the responsibility on me, and you think about that responsibility instead of the fear.”
His country begged to differ with him.
“We call them the Greatest Generation for a reason,” the Indiana Governor said when Biddle passed away in 2010, “and in Melvin Biddle we have just lost one of the greatest of the great. Every Hoosier is proud that our state produced such a man.”

Remember when i made a post where i tried to analyze different iterations of each of D2's demons?
I thought about doing something similar with Doom's weapons.
There'd be obvious things like D3 giving most of them reloading and 2016/Eternal giving them alt fires.
But then there's less obvious things like how D3ROE Xbox gives the pistol a lantern, 2016's Plasma Rifle having a bit more damage/less ammo useage than Eternal's or how some Plasma projectile/Rockets may have smaller radius than in older iterations.
Or i guess the SSG in D64 having a pushback or maybe if its chainsaw was also faster.
Stuff that is easy to overlook.
And while the demons post was mostly D1/2 originating stuff, i could make a weapons based post also include stuff like grenades or machine/chainguns and "rail gun" esque guns.
(And the Unmaker vs Unmaykr)
Probably because "modern" weapons having iterations is a bit more likely than later demons having more iterations.
Because "adding enough good info" is a focus, i'd obviously try to look for other people's analysis and prespectives just for the sake of adding the right info.
Another thing is "honorable mentions" like the unused Doom rifles mentioned in the assault rifle section, Holy Water Pistol and Eternal's cut pistol, 2016 MP's Grenade Launcher and other "rail-gun" esque guns or even the sniper rifle in D2RPG.
Edit: Better not forget the recent D64 leak and its cut gun designs.
