Ehy I don't want to put pressure on you but :( I need the second part of your Gold-plated piece of zinc :(

I’m a horribly inconsistent person, comrade. T__T I’ve missed out on so much, even though I did it all “for art’s sake”.

But you’re not putting any pressure on me at all. On the contrary, we all need a little push sometimes.

So here’s a little excerpt from chapter two of “Gold-plated piece of zinc” to whet your appetite. 

Jared burst into laughter. “You forgot the part where I poured glue into his tennis shoes.”

“Oh yeah, that too,” Stellan tittered. “But it wasn’t that big, it didn’t get you grounded, did it?”

“No,” Jared admitted with an impish smile. “We did get deprived of that week’s pocket money though.”

Stellan laughed. “Our ginger Cinderella had a terrible time under his Evil Stepfather,” he continued. “So he decided to escape, run off to the States, the Land of Freedom.”

“Oh, that was later,” Jared corrected him rubbing a cheek against his shoulder. “Mom was already divorced by then.”

“Why did you leave?”

“I just didn’t want to be there anymore,” Jared mumbled into Stellan’s jacket. “It didn’t feel right. Didn’t feel like home.”

“Makes sense,” Stellan said kneading into the fluff of his neck.

“Yeah,” Jared muttered. “But I didn’t know…” He took one long breath, his chest heaving against Stellan’s. “I didn’t know that home… I didn’t know it wasn’t a place that would make all the difference.”

Stellan felt Jared’s arms easing around him, letting go just enough for their eyes to meet.

He pulled back. He had studied that face so many times in the past, he had counted each freckle, each scar, each furrow. They would be helping each other learn their lines in the apartment he was renting in Vilnius, or Jared would be teasing him mercilessly for England’s team beating Sweden at the quarter-finals, or they would be having a couple of drinks at the Snekutis bar after an exhausting day of filming. That same weathered face, always beaming, always eager for his jokes, his stories. His smiles.

But Stellan wasn’t smiling now. He was gawking at the man in his arms, eyes following the trail of his drying tears, resting on the half-open mouth that was begging to be feasted on.

В старом городе Вильнюса находятся три бара настоящего пива под именем Шнекутис, об одном из которых сегодня и пойдёт речь. Но для начала разберёмся в названии. Что же оно означает? Шнекутис с литовского «snekutis» переводился как «болтун». Несложно догадаться, почему же именно болтун, так как фишкой данного заведения является пиво. Шнекутис - одно из самых популярных мест, где можно вкусно покушать и выпить эксклюзивный бокал пива. Чем же вас тут могут накормить? Шнекутис специализируется исключительно на литовской деревенской кухне. Все меню трудно перечислить, но самое популярное в нем — это драники со сметаной или мясным фаршем, колдуны, уши, жареные пельмени, цеппелины, гренки с чесноком, блины, выбор салатов здесь также богат. А самое главное, цены весьма приятные для глаз и кошелька. Если вы не только любите пиво, но и действительно разбираетесь в этом напитке, то для Шнекутис для вас - это настоящий рай, так как сюда его привозят не с полок магазина, а из приватных деревенских пивных мастерских всех районов страны, которые варят его по древним рецептам. Если вы не пивоман, то это не повод обойти Шнекутис стороной: здесь вы сможете проникнуться бытом и традициями старой Литвы, при этом отведав очень вкусные, но при этом нехитрые домашние блюда. Но увидеть посетителя Шнекутиса без хмельного бокала - большая редкость. Бармены весьма креативно подходят к своей работе, предлагая самые неожиданные варианты, к примеру, пиво с медом и т.д. Отведать здесь можно не только пиво, но и квас, и медовуху, и, конечно, напитки покрепче, если пожелаете. Обслуживающий персонал очень услужлив, вежлив, гостеприимен и всегда готов помочь и подсказать вам в выборе блюда или напитка. Но что же такого особенного в этом Шнекутисе, спросите вы, ведь на сегодняшний день подобных заведений не мало. Вот тут-то мы хотим с вами поспорить. Конечно, здесь нет никакой новинки в идее, но. Не замечали ли вы, во-первых, что подобные заведения, ну, скажем, слишком однотипны и ничем не отличаются друг от друга? Во-вторых, хоть и кухня там может быть деревенской, и интерьер сделан под что-то старинное, но все равно они остаются так или иначе современными ресторанами с соответствующей атмосферой и космическими ценами. А Шнекутис пропитан атмосферой деревни, природы. Как только ты переступаешь его порог - ты чувствуешь тепло и домашний уют. Шнекутис, который находится в Ужуписе, окружён садом. Вы можете отдохнуть не только в самом здании, но и за комфортными деревянными столиками, подышав свежим воздухом. В общем, если вам надоела городская суета, вы не в силах больше пихать в себя фастфуд или слишком замудрёные блюда, то Шнекутис - это именно то, что вам нужно. Здесь вы отдохнёте и телом, и душой.

So my Lithuanian families name was Snekutis before they moved to America and my family always thought it meant speaker since we were told that was the direct translation but we recently found out that it means chatterbox and I’m sorry that name is perfect for this family
