Switch off the lights

_en Being relatively new to the sneaker game, Sneakerboy, an Australian boutique, already made it to the top league as it became an adidas Consortium member. Now, as a part of this year’s project of the German footwear giant, this young Aussie is joining Wish, a well-established sneaker spot in Atlanta famous for their strong online editorials game, to come up with the latest installment of Sneaker Exchange. All Sneakerboy stores are on the coast and Georgia, the state of Wish, is famous for its aquarium hosing rare jellyfish species, therefore the partners agreed on a jellyfish as the collaboration’s theme. As with all Sneaker Exchange releases, this is a double collaboration in every sense as it brings two stores together working on two different silhouettes. Reminiscent of a jellyfish, both the models are coming in an all-white execution. This might seem a bit too easy for some, but both the products are a lot about the materials. The first of the couple is a PureBOOST with loose gauge full Primeknit upper and a coarse-mesh 3-Stripes detailing on the side. The other pair is an updated Climacool 1 in an unprecedented Primeknit execution. A great surprise might come when the lights get switched off as both the sneakers glow in the dark bringing the unique effect of a jellyfish in the dark ocean.

_cz I když je Sneakerboy na sneakers scéně relativně nový, tento australský butik se už dokázal dostat do první ligy a stát se členem adidas Consortium. Nyní, jako součást letošního projektu tohoto německého giganta, se tento mladý Australan spojuje s Wish, známým obchodem z Atlany, který se proslavil mimo jiné svými zajímavými editorialy. Společně nám tato trojice přináší nejnovější díl série Sneaker Exchange.

Všechny obchody Sneakerboy se nachází na pobřeží a Georgia, stát obchodu Wish, je známá pro své akvárium, ve kterém jsou chovány vzácné medúzy. Oba partneři tedy zvolili medúzu jako téma jejich spolupráce. Jak už je tomu u Sneaker Exchange zvykem, I tentokrát se jedná o opravdovou dvojitou kolaboraci, jelikož spolupracovaly dva obchody na dvou siluetách. Právě kvůli inspiraci z medúzy přicházejí oba modely v celobílém provedení. To se může někomu zdát příliš jednoduché, ale obě boty jsou také hodně o materiálech. První z páru je PureBoost s vrškem ze silnějšího Primeknitu s 3-Stripes detailem z hrubé síťoviny. Druhá silueta z kolekce je Climacool 1 ve zcela novém Primeknit provedení. Skvělé překvapení přichází ve chvíli, kdy se zhasnou světla, jelikož oba modely svítí ve tmě, čímž přináší unikátní efekt medúzy v tmavém oceánu. Pokud vás nějaká z těchto tenisek chytla a chcete ji mít ve sbírce, hledejte je ve Footshopu 20. května.
