Nomenclature

Severus jumped when he turned around and saw Harry there. The child was unnervingly silent. More to the point, he was in Severus’ lab, where he was not permitted.

“These are for you.” Harry's head was ducked, so Severus couldn't see his face, but his voice was hesitant, and his posture, holding out a bowl, threw Severus into memory.

“It's for you, Da.” He held out the coins he'd earned. Surely Da would stop being mad now! Even if Severus had magic, he was still a good son!

Then his father slapped his hand away, coins rolling to the far corners of the room. “A thief as well, devil's child? I'm not having that. Take off your shirt."

Severus pulled himself back to the present and took the bowl gently. “Do you know how to identify these?”

• Severina Snape adopted Harry Potter after Voldemort's attack on the Potters.

• In this AU, Severina took in Harry as her own since she's the godmother of Harry Potter.

• Severina Snape does her research to learn how to care for a child and does her best to raise Harry to live as happy and healthy.

• As Harry gets older, he considers Severina Snape as his mom, but Severina would tell him that his mother will always be Lily.

• Severina does her best to see past Harry's looks from his respective parents, but she would slip up sometimes.

• Dumbledore tried to convince Severina to leave Harry to the Dursleys, but she went against it heavily. She didn't trust Petunia to care for Harry since her relationship with Lily was rocky.

• Severina took ownership of her pureblood rights as a Prince and raised Harry in the Prince manor.

• Severina promised Lily that she would care for Harry if something bad ever happened to her. James agreed since he genuinely sees that Severina cares for Lily.

A while ago, I found this really good fic on AO3, but now I can't find it. If you could tell me what it's called, or even link it, I'd be forever in your debt lmao

It was a fic where Snape was kind of like a father figure to Harry. Everyone but Harry and a few others had gone home for Christmas, and Harry got sick and Snape took care of him (reluctantly). He then found out that the Dursleys had been abusing him.

Because of the wards, he took Harry on as an apprentice to protect him and keep him safe. Plus Remus was there too.

That's just a summary, the real one was far longer (maybe 60ish parts?)
