@theshitpostcalligrapher I promise to do a proper Etsy review when the occupants GET to their tank but I must show you how audacious the frame I got for you art is (my wife agreed to let us put it above the shrimp tank in the bedroom, which makes me indescribably happy)
it is insane to me how every experienced fish person can be like "you need pest snails to properly maintain a planted tank" and you still get aesthetic weirdos who vomit cry and scream at the sight of 1 little hitchhiker
Have you ever heard the noises axolotls make? its kinda quiet blub!, when they reach the surface of the water to gulp down some air. Anyway any time i see JellyNeil my mind immediately goes to Neil just making that noise
I HAVE NOW. wow I made a reel for the first time in forever just so I could get this across properly, here you go
The problem with going to the fish store is you see fish. Went for Corys, which I got, but also ended up with these guppies for my snail tank because I could not resist the Blues! Snails, unfazed.
(And now there is movement in the tank beyond snails parachuting from the plant tops to the substrate.)
Upgraded my betta Sekiro to a slightly larger tank — he’s much more active than my long finned betta who’s in a different aquarium, so he definitely needed the extra space. Probably spent way too much money on plants lol
I’ve got a glass canopy lid on the way (fingers crossed it fits lol), but other than that I’m pretty happy with where it’s at :)
This dingus has been chomping BLADDER SNAILS from my filter. No wonder he's been obsessed with the filter. Chomping on SNAILS. It all makes sense how my two day bladder snails infestation mysteriously disappeared. Fucking hell.
my favorite thing about mystery snails is when they make a lil whirlpool with their foot, and create a current, so all the floating food is carried straight in to them
and then they eat it as its floating by or collect it with their foot and eat it after
so fucking cute
i dont see many people talking about this behavior, and i think we should.
